not even talking about the original trilogy that he played a direct part in. But I'm
talking about the most recent marathon. Oh, yeah, the sound of guy, the sound
effects guy from bydox. Yeah. If all these so called Halo creators are still there and
why did destiny suck so much ass? Here's the thing, man. Destiny clears Halo. Look, I say
this as someone who loves Halo. No, no, no, you're living in the you're living in the
you're like stuck in the fucking eighties right now. Master Chief is done. That story
was told. Destiny cleared Halo. Destiny won cleared Halo. Way back when. And look, this
is coming from someone who loves Halo. I used to live in breathe. I read everything about
Halo. I remember tuning in. What was the old like series, the Halo series and stuff.
I watched as much Halo stuff. I remember buying the Collector's Edition for them.

Halo.

could provide.
It was a great game, a fun game, a wonderful time, and man, I had the best time in Halo.
And let me say this, I would have never given Destiny a try had it not been for Halo.
But to say that, that we don't have or we didn't have an incredible game that we played
for 10 years, man, come on, come on.
Like for real guys, are you really gonna sit here and say that the Taken King was ass,
that Rise of Iron was ass, that Forsaken was bad, that Witch Queen was bad, that hell
even you beat the Beyond Light and that when you're sitting there in deep stone crypt,
that final shape then ended off in the best way possible.
We're judging Destiny completely on just these past two expanses, that being literally
the past year.
Now let me just be honest, man, Destiny should have ended after Final Shape.
It should have ended.
Destiny 2 should have ended at Final Shape.
In my opinion, I'm sure Bungie's even having these internal discussions.
They're probably sitting there asking themselves, should we have just gone dark?
Should we have just gone dark and said nothing?
And then drop a trailer on a potential sequel?
I'm sure they've asked themselves that question.
And here's the thing, I'm a firm believer in this.

have already moved back onto destiny. Now, if you're already moving some of these heavy

love to come back.

of like just swooping and are presenting or what they believe is presenting just, you

players though, because I feel like destiny community is really getting drug into this.
In case you're wondering where all these people, where all those people praying for Marathon's
failure came from, they came from Destiny 2.
And that's just not true, man.

Majority of the people that play Destiny, even PvE players, are playing Marathon.
If you go look at the directory right now, even the people that are screaming, Marathon,
many of them are Destiny players.
Whoa, look, the people that vehemently attack Destiny and attack Marathon, especially like
when they, you know, when they just immediately just shit on, on, uh, marathon, calling the
dead on arrival. Even if they go, Hey, I came from destiny. I know what bungee's all about.
I know their history. If you press them and ask them how much of destiny they played,
you normally find your answer out pretty quickly. You know what I mean?
Somebody even make it past destiny to vanilla, which is fine.
You know most have never even played a raid a
Lot of online posts or D2 died for this, but that's the thing guys
D2 was already dying if not dead and guess what it needs to die
It needs to die guys. We cannot
But if you think right now, if Bungie came out right now and said, we're going to tell
the story of the winner who's our next big bad guy under the umbrella of Destiny 2, you
realize how let down I would be?
That would be like an immediate let down.
That story cannot be told in Destiny 2.
If anything, Destiny 2, and especially Marathon shows just how outdated Destiny 2 is.
All of the infrastructure you see in place for Marathon, I know people will say, well,
no, Destiny is a way bigger game than Marathon.
Look at the tick rates, look at the dedicated servers.
Look at that, just the overall look of Marathon, its weather effects, all the dynamic weather
systems that Bungie really was being the chest on when we went into Beyond Light, which Europa
possessed some of, that needs to become the norm going forward for a possible Destiny
3 if we even make it to that point.
But the winner of Saga, whatever that Saga is going to be called, if it ever comes
to fruition, needs to be told in a Destiny 3.
And I'll wait as long as it takes.
Marathon is done on the same Tiger engine that Destiny 2 is to step forward, that can
be Destiny 3, that can resurrect Destiny franchise.
I mean look dude, the reality is like what you're seeing from Marathon is what's possible
for Destiny.
So we haven't even finished the fates saga.
Nothing would make me happier than bungee dropping one more expansion for Destiny 2,
that being to finish off the fates saga and just be done.
Just be done, straight up.
And just, if you want to leave us on a cliffhanger, tell your community thank you, finish
the fates saga and say nothing really or you could just, I guess say they're working on
some of the future.

I don't know if we would be playing Marathon and that simply because we're just too
invested in Destiny or at least at that point to invest in the light and darkness
saga.
There would have been no way, no way, and I would have to have gone back.
In some ways, I'm kind of grateful that Destiny 2 is in a bit of a lull right now, man.
I'm able to focus completely on marathon, and it's a good game.

Just to recap, there are definitely so a lot of people at Bungie that came from the
Hello Days.
Um, Desi two has been under the client since the final shape for good reason.
The light and darkness saga concluded.
There are monetization issues that exist in Desi two that I did not like at all.
That bungee has been pulling back on, but are not present in any form here in Marathon.
I actually think Marathon is really fair monetization.
I think Marathon's a good game.
And if anything, Marathon makes me hopeful for a potential Destiny 3.
And so hopefully we get there, man.
But where Marathon is, it is not a Concorde.
It's a good game.
It's got solid reviews across the board.
I saw some comments too about why didn't beg people to not put up reviews of the game
until after the final map.
That's common.
And I've actually, we've gotten review codes for games before and it normally doesn't
go out that long, but he'll ask things like, Hey, wait until this feature drops before you
fully review the game and put it out. Okay. And so I guess Bungie's trying to avoid the
situation with destiny whenever they drop destiny, right? Destiny won class or not classic
destiny won the note. And the reviews were not that strong off the rip for good reason.
And it took vault of glass to really turn things around. So maybe they're hoping that
Marathon and its final map and cryo archive could turn these around but to be quite honest with you
The reviews are already south. They're like what 89 percent 90 percent
Um, so they're already very very subtle
It's it is something that is present in a lot a lot of games man. I have actually had

like, you know, make it very clear that it's not the whole thing.
