ESL presents ESL Challenger League in partnership with Intel,
Acer Predator,
DHL,
and CHECKS.
Season 51 of the Challenger League rolls into its second cup for Europe as the opening day
has all the states set towards it.
Welcome to ESL TV for the mainstream action for the first day of coverage here in Cup
So my entertainer Jake, I'm joined by Dwayne and we're set to be another epic cup here this season.
All they look forward to is a great action resource and great matches during the last cup.
So a second cup with the same number of stakes, I'm looking forward to it.
Indeed. You and I, we were covering a few of the games in the last cup, which was about a month ago now.
And we were kind of faking our lights, having that love bracket run going on to go quite well.
They ended up placing second. And then it's the Naphany, Axel and Zorty mix.
The ex-Betfood players winning that last one.
So yeah, maybe there are some surprises with what can happen here in cut number two
Certainly with a brand new crop of talent coming through and all I'm looking forward to seeing how many of those major surprises will happen here on the first day
We've already seen a handful of fun matches go down during the afternoons stages
So here in the evening a lot more to play for and of course we are still playing for $25,000
before we cross play to the region final
We're trying to qualify for the ESL training
Imagine that there are some teams in this particular bracket that are looking hoping to try and make it to that top division
Indeed. You're going to have different perspectives. I think you're going to have higher end teams that are looking at the top four with how the money looks with obviously the qualification.
And then you're going to have a lot of the other weaker teams that look at this upper bracket potentially even lower and say, mate, this is a chance to start grinding VRS points.
This is a start of an opportunity to get us more involved in the tier two very difficult online circuit that we have right now.
So they mentioned that we've seen some matches go down in the afternoon already.
G2, Aries taking the fourth foot.
We have a quenchery that will be up against the state side in the next round over there.
Over Peaks, some of the story is mega sure they move forward.
Masonic move forward as well.
Gen 1 waiting for the likes of Rock to their match up.
And we've got a couple of matches ongoing, like CS Dilett and Bushino Wildcat ongoing
at the present time.
Same story for AIM Club versus Hyperspirit in the inside of the bracket.
It's still got a few more matches.
Real still ready to play for here.
Harbu went into the winner of Leo and Sincu.
Unity also involved.
also involved, but my main focus today, Dwegg, is on that
Sanguul bracket because today we are covering Ursa versus Big
Academy as part of our coverage and and this is a couple of
teams that certainly and imagine that if you are more
in tune with Tier 2 in the last like six months or so, you'd
be definitely aware of who these guys are. And it's funny
when you look at Big Academy, these are guys that have
participated in the ECO in the past but with very
different iterations of the lineup. I mean, you and I,
we were casting a lot of Big Academy when they were
completely German, right? They had Sins now over on
M80 and they had a Sensi which was the Austrian author at the time, Aro Sky, a couple of other
German players. And now we look at a big Academy side who, yeah they've got German roots, but
they're trying to have a bit more of an international spice. And at times I think they have been
quite successful with players getting promotions and being at least towards a higher end of tier 2.
Where they are right now outside of 200 on VRS, the boys aren't going to be satisfied with that.
They know that they're a lot stronger than what that ranking chose.
Neither team is even within the top 100 in the BRL this morning calling the HL team team.
So that definitely explains for exactly how big of an opportunity this is.
I know the big team, actually, if they win this match, they'll go within that top 200 position.
So I'm looking forward to seeing whether they can take down this Ursa side.
And certainly when you take a look at the names on paper, you might have a look at the big side
and say it's a very vulnerable matchup.
Indeed. Now we know that Joe is the head coach here from Ursa.
Now he's been playing quite a lot of officials for them.
The last month was already featured 17 maps played on HLTV.
And funnily enough Jay, the last time that we casted Jay, he was playing on one win back in May of 2024 alongside Buster, Nielsen, Latic, Ryujin, he used to be quite a large name in the tier 2 CIS scene, but he's been coaching for the last year now, he has been fully retired from playing, so he's just here to try and help the Ursa lads out today.
Shafi out of the roster, of course, we're still sort of figuring out who that final fifth player is going to be.
Let's throw a spanner into the works in terms of where they could stand up against a big academy side.
And these are players, again, you're probably going to recognise them if you've been paying attention recently.
Proz has been in and out of the main big squad, JPI, I've been talking about him recently.
Even Donnie and Tripp are just starting to get a bit more notoriety around them as a mate.
Yeah, well, those two Ukrainian players were recently a part of Wildcard Academy,
a process you just mentioned, been a part of the main big organisation twice,
bit apart of the Academy team now for his fourth iteration. I don't know how I look at that.
I think it's nice that you keep getting invited back, but where's the progression of the career if
you keep getting brought back towards the Academy team? Now, Trebelin did play on a previous Academy
team that was with Astralis talent, mainly in the Danish scene. He's been fried. He's been
looking extremely strong recently, Jay. I think the one asterisk is not really playing
against the highest level of competition recently and not playing on HLTV often as well.
And then, Karnes, I was watching a few of his Dust2 games recently.
This guy's decent, man. I know he doesn't have many HLTV maps at just 45 right now,
but he is someone that gets put in a lot of star positions, a lot of rotated positions on CT side,
likes to be the second, even third guy in on the T side, so playing a lot of late round situations.
And for someone that's 20 and only played on Rustic as the only professional organization of his career,
this guy's one for the future. He looks really good on us right now.
Yeah, no doubt that these are definitely impressive numbers for the individual basis.
I think the problem is Wayne mucking comparison to the level of competition they're playing.
Because you're right, when you're outside the top 100, top 200, you're not playing
very many significant level competitions, in the cases of Big Academy,
not many competitions at all here.
That might start the change of the month's roll-ons.
They haven't had a few more, but so they need to really get those numbers up
if they want to re-prove that J-Bowen isn't just a case of just dominating in the lower divisions.
He's a player that a lot of people have talked about.
A lot of people have big dubs in his keeps the pun.
and he will be an important element to this side now.
Matt Beatty is coming up on the screen, like, won't we throw it?
Yeah, Ancient's going to get banned out here from Ursa.
Both teams love Dust2.
A lot of Dust2 picks coming through from Ursa.
A lot of Dust2 picks in from Big Academy.
A lot of Ancient picks coming through from Big Academy recently.
So, perfect veto here for Ursa to try and get that out.
We've got all overpassed instead for the Big Cam.
They're going to go in a bit of a different direction.
I know that it's obviously not had a lot of play rates on it recently.
I'm not sure that's because other teams have been banning it out.
I know that they don't ban it themselves.
their own accord so there is an opportunity that there's a different direction to it to go into I guess
for the Ursa side I mean like you talked about that Dust2 potential do you really want to pick that
into another pig side who are rather strong on it? Yeah maybe not you're picking towards a nuke or a
mirage try and get Dust2 as a decider and they do go in for it here I mean it's the highest
picks map in the pool for the side of Ursa and the second highest for Big Academy so anytime
you do get a Dust2 in there you know that it's going to be quite contentious I will say
that there's another aspect that we need to talk about J.J.O. standing in is his highest
played map since standing in with us. He's not played too many officials, so he's already
played six Dust2s. You have a look at the Overpass. Hasn't played a single Overpass.
He hasn't played any Ancient, any Anubis. He's played a little bit of Nuke, a little bit Mirage,
and a little bit of Inferno. So at least Mirage is four maps played out of the last
few best of threes that he's been playing. So at least he can get a bit of comfortability
the maps that they've played already.
I'm looking to find out about the big side in the end,
so Overpass Dust2 and Mirage being our map ups here.
Overpass and starting one to the big side
is the real wild card in my eye,
because there's just so little play rate
from both of the two sides here.
Dust2 is going to be the more solid unit
and certainly the victor on that map up,
we don't have to decide who takes the series overall for me.
And we've only seen 11 best of 3s on HLTV
from Big Academy in the last three months
and they've never picked Overpass.
So this is knowing,
Dusty is going to get picked on by the opposition. We can't get in towards our ancient. So it's going to test the map pool.
Now they did play against the focus reality team recently in the United 21 that was two days ago, and that was the Academy team
with some Norwegian and Swedish players. That went down 13 to 11 against a side that's not even on VRS, a side that's not even playing on HLTV.
So, yeah, I think the start of this series, knowing that we do have that map involved, could look a bit uncomfortable for big Academy.
I'm just a notion, however, that on the contrary in this whole thing, the academy, they've done
rather well in terms of their, not in recent history, but in terms of that back at the
start of the year, they've taken on the likes of Flips to be able to get victories over them.
They've obviously been doing well as of late for themselves, and Harvey Jr. got stomping
and took the limit to the distance. So there's a couple of results here that are being
here in Mestros. That put result of Reastown's up to me to say that maybe the academy
could do some decent damage here if they could continue to market more strongly
into their map pool. And perhaps that's a sign of how both of these lineups were
looking earlier on in the year, because the tournament you're referencing there with the
foot game was the IEM Rio closed qualifier, Big Academy beat foot, they should have beat
nine, and they nearly beat Nemesis. Now the Ursa team, they beat BC game, they beat iBallers,
they had a really tight series against Betboom, and they probably could have even beaten
Gentlemates. And that's crazy to think that we're talking about legitimate upsets
against high-end tier 2 teams, and yet both of these guys aren't even in tier 2.
for these teams do not participate in the circuit consistently, Ursa are just playing
so many CCT closed qualifiers and very rarely are they actually getting into a main Swiss
stage so they're finding it really difficult themselves, they've just been eliminated in
the BC Game Masters with a top 16. So I look at where they sit right now and think a deeper
run might be nice. Now there is difficult teams ahead of them. Sangler in the next
This round isn't the largest challenge for either of these two. I think we've Sangul having a lot of player changes right now.
Syphage is coming into that team. Don't really know what the legitimacy is with some of the Turkish players that have been coming in and out there.
I think for both Ursa and Big Academy, put in a good shift today, get yourself a win.
Look into that next round tomorrow and try and get another win against Sangul.
And because both these teams are so lowly ranked on BRS, the victory over a team like us Sangul will already put yourself in good stead to get more move at the ladder.
I know that obviously it's not going to be a while before we see either of these two teams in regular conversations
but in-wise to those main TCT Swisses and more consistently here in the ECLs, but in terms of their like
performances, every win is going to count towards them because they've got so few such a low level.
Let's take a look at these recent results that they've had as of late.
I mean being Omega and Oli there and Zaj, I mean these aren't exactly high-level caliber teams here
and so they're going to be stuck in this kind of grind, right?
you've got that elo hell is what I've heard people call it as of late because it can be like that sometimes in VRS
So here in Challenger League, but good one will be great
I'm not sure that we're gonna see either of these two teams though because yeah
Sangre might be an opponent to be out but when you consider the consistency of some of the other teams playing in terms of the tier 2 space
It has it's not quite as frequently as these two teams are
Yeah, and perhaps that is now going on some of the lineup conversations, right?
You've got an Ursa of a core 3 that dates all the way back to nearly a year
but then Karnes joined what a month ago,
Shaufi is kind of here, but he's not here consistently,
he's playing a few games, he should be the in-game leader,
you've got your coach standing in
when you don't have a permanent five,
when you don't have the same reliable five
that you can come in day in, day out,
official after official, it's very tough to be consistent
and to constantly be able to put up wins on the board.
And I think the big academy,
there are some organizations out there
that are funding a lot of projects
to going to international lands,
They're not really one of them. They sent them to the East Play land in Sweden and unfortunately it was not successful.
They only got top four there and they lost out to Little Mix who ended up winning that entire tournament
and then even went into a lower bracket fighter against a wave side that I'm not familiar with and they couldn't even win a map.
Now, if your organization is not sending you to those open lands, then you need to start grinding as many as you can in the online sphere.
problem that they've found is that they're mainly just playing in open qualifiers because that they just their VRS rank is not
Good enough to get invited. So knowing that they're here in ECL
They've got to make as much out of this tournament as they can and hey create where it's due towards us as part of competing in those events because
It does fit out the numbers and therefore you can theoretically say that maybe they're working on their individual game
They're working on that their position and the few tournaments that they've had that has made it into the right position
put them in a place where they are still just outside that top 100 being around side of top 200
because you haven't got that same level of play you haven't got that same level of win you haven't
really competed it or taken the chances to compete in any of these open qualifiers or at least
you're not getting deep enough to where you can say that that's a recognizable achievement for
yourselves and that's why I think it's very difficult if you're not an organization that's
giving you the funding to go overseas and basically do something with it I think it's
very let's say lenient to squads that have money that have resources the ones that don't
are getting butchered right now and that's why they're finding it really difficult. I mean just
look at some of the lineups that we've got here in ECL. We've got a lot of mixes. I mean we've got
I would even say a lot of reject players right. I mean I'm looking at little mix taking on the
musketeerry side we were casting the French not that long ago that lineups now been picked
apart completely. David Devec is still there, Assixar is still there but then it's just
remaining pieces. I know that there's a Bulgarian mix of ships and red star. They're trying to see if
they can make something happen in this qualifier. And that's always what's going to help in ECO,
is that when you've got 48 teams in a double Lillian bracket, you're going to get a lot of faces and
a lot of players that don't consistently play at this level. Yeah, no doubt that there's going
to be a lot of question marks floating above a lot of the teams involved in this one. So
The key question marks for for big and also where are they at?
Oh, I'd say mid-pack at best, right? I mean some of the higher end squads are probably the Nickelback and
Ellie and Whitebird. I think you've got the Cashlib K-2017 that looks really strong. Nemesis
have just broken within the top 40 on VRS. That's Celts are in the boys and the Maegro have made
some changes recently. They've brought Lear back in. They look quite good. TDK mentioned them
earlier. They won the very last cup. They were able to beat Alliance in that Grand Finals.
I think they're another strong team other than them though, Jay
I think once you get maybe past them ex Ruby potentially eternal fire the drop-off is is quite large
We're looking at a lot of mid-pack tier two teams to even low-end teams into water tier three
So I would say for both maybe Ursa is like mid-pack tier two right now
Mid-pack of the competition and then for big Academy. I'd probably put them as an outside floater
I definitely put them ranked lower than Ursa
I'm starting to wonder whether or not that's going to be an inflated position for the
arse aside though.
I know that they've had some great opportunities in terms of playing in tournaments and having
some great players come through the rankings of their own, and I know you mentioned one
of them earlier on, but I'm also looking at the general level of competition they're
playing.
And the Big Academy Academy doesn't apply to some sort of motion character, but more
on even footing with Big Academy overall.
So I don't know really who's going to take this series.
I'm going to thank Big Academy just because of the nature of the names on the roster,
and I'm hoping that comes up to play for here.
it is a very unpredictable pass of three in my eyes.
They're very difficult and they've got their coach standing in as well.
At least J.O. was an ex-pro and only didn't retire too long ago.
Now 4 on B, very heavy stack, a triplex is coming in with some util.
So it's a good read and a good search here for Mercer.
There's been nothing to back away though, you know how much I don't like that one.
At least Widow's going to draw our first blood against J.O.
Down first up towards the short access count is as good to return the trade
as his Salazar on the side.
They get the amount of vantage.
Donnie Sturrock wants to get that headshot to Salazar.
I'll be to the double a triple in fact looking for the quadra. Can't quite get it. Chipx alone
Not a 1v4 to win and I only go so far as the one trade back instant pistol win for the Ursa side
Well considering they lost the opening man advantage out there towards a short water
That's a hell of a recovery really good shooting and stabilization from Salazar on the bomb side gets himself the pillar angle
And then tries to repose few with shots from the monster players
And then he just starts getting headshot after head shot from the barrels the big Academy tried to pop out there
towards B and Ursa become very successful. Indeed they do. Just to win the rifles. No
force by them from B, so let this one go to the early portions of the match up. I'm going
to chance to see how well this overpass will play out for them. The academy picked into
this map up one that they played three times in the last three months. Ursa only four
on HLTV, so that's a speak of their open qualified positions.
See if these Pestos can get any damage against the CT side,
dropping one of those rifles to begin.
There's plenty more to get here, Mr Allen.
We know that Torrex and Dean were benched on the 18th of February,
so it's been about a month now of having Karnes into the team
and having J.O. in and out of standing.
They've yet to play an overpass official,
so it's going to test what those two are like individually
and how they contribute on the map.
map now this eco is dangerous for a kill maybe a second one here on to alve but
right now I don't think there's much in it especially with the CTs consistently
searching
kill take down Donnie easy pickings alve he could lose to the numbers game in
here the decent things from jade bowen but Max is good to trade back the next
three players so triple fame in the round and jade bowen reach can go much
father indeed put down where he stands to and I start for our set big academy
their rifles to play with here in round four a echoed harsh for this reason
their forex and alve have been long-standing teammates for many years the Vildar organization
and noobles so not quite continuing the pathway I think a few of them have gone to different
projects alve went to nine pandas for a little bit and then ended up coming back joining up
with his teammate but those two are a long-standing duo so expect some good
Synchronization from them especially in the more difficult rounds early anti rush you to out here towards the short water
And not much be emphasis from widow and the boys. It's really just a 4-1 set up here on the T side
And spring on our default to look in towards the
Long-angles I'll long position with the AWP will land on Bonnie a minute smoke up
Try and get hidden behind the rocks here, but J. Bond is not gonna give change
I love that man advantage to try hunt for a different trade elsewhere to be successful
but only by a margin of 1 HP.
It's a very good dink there from Forex and now for the T's, they've been able to gain short water
but we're still seeing that activity from Al. Now even though he was defensive with that orb,
he's now gone on the front side and he is now going to clear all of the park and playground area.
He's going to see nothing towards the fountain, so that will indicate for Kades, rotate out towards B, keep 3 on that bomb site.
a little bit late losing his teammate in the process. He's a full blown ace out of clutch
the round and the AWP puts him down in an instant. So 3-0 start, 4-0 start.
Got a really easy B defence. You've got Salazar working down there in the pit, J.O. further
back from Graffiti and they're just not over peaking. They're wasting for time.
So they make that round feel very comfortable. Big at least get a bomb plant so there's
another opportunity to buy. Try and put that pressure up with the buy state. But
3 and 0 considering that we are yet to see this map recently for us. I think you couldn't have asked for a better showing
Indeed wonderful pistol conversion and rifle set basis. You actually lose three players
You gain so much more and you can recover that lost investment rather easily with another
Eco around coming in from bigger half by with a little bit of Kevlar and pistol upgrades
They bow and sailing as much cash as possible with that. It's for foregoing. Yalla
Deagle in hand, Tech 9's out for the other players, plus one more Deagle as well for
Gunny.
AK was recovered by Akanez during that previous, with forward contact in towards mid to receive
the big cut side.
Akanez has the least amount of maps played out of any player in the entire server and
yet I think he's one to watch out for the most.
Always like to see young players be given chances, especially ones that are cracked
out of their mind.
Now for us up. This is probably the most offensive round we've seen from them yet
Yeah, they were getting funneled away with you till front bathroom smoke Molly towards the biter
But they are not looking to retake space at all
Smokes in
Connors his jump-facing looking left and right both towards mid and towards long J bow and
Stound that dig of the long entrance. It's open for an extension out from the CT side. They're not giving him it
The search comes in towards mid, the AWP a bit more of an advanced angle seniority come down.
Telegraphing the execution, so the bait does come out and force that off to get the shoalgross back in for a second which he gets,
but we don't enjoy running out of advantage. 4x2 trades back, looking away, the long-window to the down and he gets put back down.
The Tecna on the Trippettes can't get a trade together.
Bomb on his back and just about sneak the plant in here towards DICE.
But a 1v2 to win out here on the clutch.
The in-game leader needs to try and get you first and then instantly repos.
Shot missed. Here's him coming, the jump up.
Second-brother has to be out there. He's looking for a headshot, so I've actually seen them both.
He gets that tag off on JL's shoulder. Tech 9 hits the headshot. JL is very low.
One of the one for Tripex. A perfect chance to secure the opening round for Big.
He just needs the time at well, and hit his shot perfectly. JL making noise, going
ring a ring a rose. He's in the Tech 9 ones out of ammo.
Needed to hit the shot, and he did not do it. He might be retired, J, but he still got
over 1500 maps played on HLTV and I was mentioning it earlier. He was quite a large name in tier
two. Yes, he never got the taste of playing at tier one and he never had the most successful careers.
He's still qualified to that council major during covid's with the maker. He still played at the
height of tier two with K 23 with one win. So this is definitely a guy that's very comfortable
playing even when you're now a coach. That's a very good clutch and for big,
Well, it was a very expensive round, just a bit of a shame that you're not closing that 1v2 when you're desperate for a star.
Man, max loss bonus at least. You have done some more damage towards the Earth's economy, so there's reset potential that could close this gap right up, but big needs to capitalize on the chance.
Process.
Rallying into underpass, shoulder baits out, but can't, there's an AK, he can hit just a similar headshot and land it immediately. Process first of all.
A really slow start from the veteran here of process. Widow at least gets a trade back.
Salazar just getting caught on the outskirts out there towards monster on the lurk and that was a required duel
But look at what J.O. is going to be doing. He is clearing all of this map control
And this is going to force a heavy rotation with the players up to A
Massive extension is big
Only optioning at the B site is to go via connector which isn't being watched
and the veteran won't overextend here, he will just hold monster to ensure that big
don't go for the wrap into that position, cut off the angle of attack, that's a perfect
read on the situation, thanks to that information play, DWP, Drey Bowens desperate to get a response
from the getter, to get a trade back into a secure amount of vantage, don't need
to force to do so, instead Borax caught Alv to extend even further out here, that
does force J.O. to start to reposition and consider other options, but the AWPer
lands on Widow and moves it back to a three on three.
Now Alvarez needs to keep fighting.
He cannot fall back to the bomb site.
Jay Bowen shot and missed out, spoke ahead of it.
Flashbang, I should say.
Tripp Bakes gets that kill on the long flare
and now he's going to get surrounded.
AK Spray comes up, Alv does down on Tripp Bakes,
but Jayo takes it right back down,
swinging from Jay Bowen, denies the clutch
and brings in the round for big.
It's actually really unfortunate.
So, Jay Bowen has not given any info away
that he's out there in the bathroom.
So, Jayo is thinking one player
towards bathrooms, two players crossing long and instead Jabona just peeks out from the
divide are always going to win that when he caught with Util in the open. And the A players just
didn't quite put up enough damage did they? They had to read especially with that info play
outside of Monster but there's a collapse from Forex, Al only stays alive for so long.
Jio really needed his teammates to hold on there and then he was going to be a finishing blow.
Oh, that's the economy state of us, uh, broken by two from us is coming in as their better
weapon still doesn't stop, honest, landing the kill.
Donny down.
That's not available towards him on the unscope from Jay Bowen couldn't be timed worse.
Five on three established with ease and time dipping in for a triple.
He might just get it all the counter steal for us.
So this would be heartbreaking for big Academy.
Told you man. He's he's decent this this guy's not bad at all. That's a great sequence coming up with car
There's and then 4x on the bomb site is seen that bomb
Salazar is struggling with the HP bars are low you need a miracle to win this round if you're big Academy
It's all come on done so easily even that smoke missed out
Trying to extend for more kills. They do you get four legs? That's one pig
I'll pick to return it though dropping that bomb on towards trip exes hands a 1v3 a
a pick found, Karnes is low, Alvis next though, AKB from us, Tripex, Leen's aggressive, trying
to spot, from us, Burst does not quite get the man, Alph dips out of the way to get in
the bomb site, Tripex, Leen's further forward, knows that he's in bank, gonna take the
director challenge, he gets him down, 1v1 now, all on Karnes to finish what he
started.
This looks pretty good from Tripex now because he's got the bomb plant open for
bank and he's searching.
I think you're going to be fuming if you're outside because you've got yourself a 3k instantly
from Karnes, he just keeps peeking, keeps fighting out here towards the T-Con area.
5 E2s are basically impossible to lose, but we see some over-fighting, we see some individual
Jules being taken, and maybe a little bit sloppy towards the end there, a big Academy
of, there's one, two rounds in a row that shouldn't be winning. This really should
be a 6-0 star.
A big holding on.
Still seeing the force up coming in from the window.
Does take down Al, the extension towards the short pipe, gives the kill a way to big.
Very little information in trade for the earth, so map control can't be held.
The solo player out there, so the process will start searching into the lawn, there's
only one man to defend it.
Florex, and the T.U. start pressing.
J.O. knows, I've just got to keep searching here.
Very difficult to win this fight against Widow.
Long range with the Galil.
Spam comes in, and unfortunately there's a little bit of a T.K.
and the acceleration up from Long looks promising.
Lio's pretty perfect to set, to certify that situation,
so no matter how they lose the kill,
in a lot more in response, Axe is down to four points of health.
I'm planning to be secured here, us up.
I can say what little they had.
Forced into this round, Kevlar's available, they can get extra rifles as well with a casualty, plus an SMG.
So, take it as you will, a third to the board of BIC.
For big Academy you just got to try and take this round by round if you're going into a map it like an overpass
Which is not had a single best of three on it in the last three months
Then you've got to try and get as much out of this T side because I think you're gonna see some more struggles as a
Light-up that's so dominant on ancient so happy to play dust two consistently
So hold on to at least a few upgrades
and it's a it's a bit of a shame to see that Shalfie's not here today because
I think for him he would be the most experienced player in the server. I mean he participated
at a couple of majors a few years ago with Forza. He played with Alv on nine pandas and
I think everyone's hoping at some point we're going to see him play here for Ursa. He plays
a few best of threes but oftentimes it's been more J. We're playing.
It makes you wonder what that fifth man situation is really all about.
The confusion will most certainly hurt them in the long term.
The particle has been affected no matter which that fifth man is going to end up playing in
server on any particular date.
So for now, I'm going to give him a slower approach again, they've got some upgrades,
they've got some held-over weapons, but the pistol players are their own right.
Kind of as if it's getting the right first blood process to fall.
He's 10 kills deep, he's providing the impact thus far.
Well, he's been extremely aggressive in the majority of these rounds.
He's always searching for a fight rather than falling back and playing afraid.
That's the right way to play an anti-floor spy or at least an anti-half when you don't have a huge amount of upgrades
You want to try and get as much out of the larger weapons so one being the m4 the other one being the galil
It's stacked quite heavily towards B. Jaboan's hoping for a jump spot out here towards dice. He sees it but doesn't pull
They choose up without extending against and Jared has catch the kill for a jump face of his teammate
They're from interest assistance to juff up on three now being secured
We're taking two men back into the A defensive. Donny's going to catch one of those rotators.
Go to the second. His teammates there and back towards mid to reduce the player on the side
itself. 2v2 with Forex trading back on Donny and the rotation's away, but on that smoke
gives Al of the breathing room of the backstab. Can he catch that bomb carrier? In from
bathrooms he might do so. Trepect is taking his time with this. Chance to swing. Doesn't
take it until it's far too late. Spray's awkward. AWP now pressured and Forex takes that
after striking back down so also return the favor but I think they deserved that round because there was a lot of activity you have
Kindness being the first player that pressurizes out there towards a and then what 20 30 seconds later
We then get a bit of B pressure
We get swings aggressively from short with some util rotates come up quickly and there's a moment
But there's probably what three entries in just a second here donnie jibo and antrex all getting kills
and in the end, Jo-Bohen just thinking about the player towards the front side of the bathroom is not focusing on the bank swing
and for a very limited buy, Ursel will be very happy with the outcome.
When you measure down and pull on these team rounds, we're going to beat the big academy, so
Mentham Halter, the chance of them to restart to reapply this overwhelming advantage on the scoreboard.
I'm increasing the good for now was a 4-0 start for Ursa.
And by stage won't be perfect either for the T-side base, it's the Flash Sentinels along
and telegraphed their default standards despite that Ursa have four players back here on the
B bomb site and they're going to keep it that way.
It's definitely some sort of read here from Jair to be stacking up B as heavily as they
are.
They can think about rotating a single player back over, you've just got Karnes jumpspotting
between A, B, C and to die, so it's only going to be a matter of time until
we see somebody boosted to the jump face won't say a second one me suicidal to
go for the re-engraption move focus on mid with the entrance towards long
watchtower before I do flashy the checkout position for a moment a third
player will get called into defensive chairs on the way this looks to be a
very good raid and kind of is playing a position that's not been held
previously.
What does he get caught out in the open?
Here's the footsteps. Engaged against the process, goes down.
Donny with a trade flag just about gets behind Harder cover.
As Karnes does strike down, Tripp X advantage is gained.
Donny still going to continue the campaign.
Bombs right behind him on J-Bones' part. The AWP can land that first.
Missing the mark against the second. He was leaving back at Dice.
Lands a leg shot, goes in for the second face and gets it back to a 2v2.
AK is going to be required. Player moving up close,
but we've got his head turned away.
The AK has got a win on his lonesome.
The AWP information called towards it.
1v2 for J-Bowler to play in 15 seconds to make it happen. Headshot can't get landed.
Seized by Salazar, peeking in from Salazar will score up more than 6 here for us.
I've got to be honest, J. I'm not even getting the feeling that J-Bowler is retired.
I know that he's not going to be hitting insanely hard, first off being a game leader
and then secondly just not playing officials often. But he's, being on the bomb site,
always getting one kill. He's always setting up for time, he's flashing, he's wasting.
He's doing really well right now and Big Academy have got themselves on the lopsided side of the economy
They might only get three four T rounds. This is looking really promising from Ersa
Or we listen to you speaking the best case will be about five this eco coming in with the diggles
Rip the part rather easy when the first couple rifle contacts of Salazar and carnais Salazar with another
Kevlar, Jay Bowen's low, Donny's 1-0. Kevlar, therefore this should not be much in the round.
Bombs been dropped as of its 4. Players around big, so certainly 7-3, certainly a half advantage
for us or at least. Again, big we need to minimize that, try and go towards 5 if possible.
And Prostas is still yet to get a kill. Yes, he's a bit more of a passive player,
Zero and ten with having the second highest amount of HLTV maps played in the entire server
Kind of that he's gonna be doing a lot more than that
It's been a rough showing from him and
Again, I've not been convinced on the three rounds that big of one
They've had two gun rounds where they shouldn't have won them
They then have themselves an anti-eco, which was an easy third now
They could certainly go into this second half J and put up a much better performance
they can have to be a lot cleaner but from what I've seen so far it's not been
satisfied at all. Can't disagree with you.
In general they are being outclassed by Ursa, they are being outplayed by Ursa.
An awkward moment here in the post round for the last man of Donny. Maybe it's
just the play rates. We're looking at a side here of Big Academy that have
played 11 best of threes on HLTV in the last three months versus Ursa that have 30. I mean, it's nearly triple.
I did pick into this one big.
Hoping that they would get something more out of it.
The practice was going comfortably for the maybe scrims were doing them a lot more to play with
either whatever the reason is that they picked into it. It's so far not working out. Maybe it
might be a CT-based thing. Imagine the importance of that half for the big seven. You need to
to get some sort of buffering to make it happen. A 9-3 may be a little bit more difficult
to come back from. Three more rounds in the half to go. Rips in towards mid, will try and
establish the jump faces out and no one's searching directly for it. I also have got
Karnes in the bathrooms that they'll encounter potentially two or three players.
So many times they have just left him solo aggressive, just not even a teammate inside.
And the timing out here from the long bathrooms is good for the CTs because it means that
this off angle can be held from 4x.
Another rotate from J.O. potentially.
He's been pretty good with stacking up this A bombsite against the XEs.
He's on the way in, Widow does catch Canes off guard, so puts down that key fragger.
4x will just wade, get flashbang off holding that corner, trying to get a bit more of
an open space angle.
Turned in by Tripp Hedge of Groms, the head immediately looks in for more J.O.
smoke and work-ins process take one player down 30 seconds to move the bomb carrier from playing very orchestrate from trip eggs
Who instead just drop the bomb in CT territory don't even with one Salazar with one bad
Jay borrowing as to trade ours alone pistol inside of the smoke
Boen we deny and DDS run down with that pistol
But once are also in towards widow who takes that fourth for big and you know
There's a lot of you till around the a bomb site and the CTs are being quite chaotic with how they're playing around it
Especially J-O, J-O, there is still a 5v3 on the A-Bomb side.
I'm not, I'm just not sure how these,
well, aren't cleaner for big.
But how often that double entry,
are you not holding good crossfires?
Not allowing the CTs to run through that smoke.
And with the bomb being dropped out towards truck,
there was a moment, a very brief moment,
but it just looked extremely uncomfortable.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
Big.
Desperately need more confidence out of themselves.
Rekana continues to frag away.
Gendipping in towards the mid axis, taking down the opening.
Doubling up back in connect.
Proces, trip eggs down.
Donny with one trade.
We're taking out towards the B bomb site.
It's all coming undone here in this final round of the half.
Also looking like they're on for an 8-4.
Donny is hoping for a good timing against J.O.
On this rotation back towards A, but he's not been given very much here at all.
J.O. is going to start searching.
there actually might be a chance here for the rifle.
I think the individual jewels doing possibly the best chance is the bigger bearer.
It's a game, trade game, not allowed. Alvin Karnes put him down,
and indeed it's a wonderful CT half for us.
So they had better stats on CT basis for big.
These were a pretty magical comeback after the break though.
Oh
I
Pretty commanding advantage for us so heading into the second half of other parts big Academy pick this map in the hope of a
Very good reason. They're not seeing many good reasons in the team side
Maybe it's the CTS which needs to rely on the most in life
Individuals maybe making a few more impactful plays
I thought it felt very flat in that first half to have themselves a few bomb plants
But really struggled to show dominance at all even at times to get that frag by a coach that's 31 years old
It's just not good enough here from Big Academy and considering they went down 0 and 4 in that first half
If you're not winning pistol instantly, I think this map is completely over
I think momentum in the scoreline difference is just gonna aid us at a getting to 13 first
5 to 1 for Big to win to give themselves even a chance want to see more impact
I want to see process get on the board still frag is 0 and 12
As we entered a pistol round and Ursa looked to try and pick the challenges
Jay Bones going to try and get just as active as Karnes was at certain points
He was the star of us in the first half. So you do the same thing here
So as our on kindness combining towards the short access process excellent couple of taps finally involved with the jewelry sets upon the mad aggression
He's only gonna last so long no re-dipping backing gives kind of a chance to trade back triple disallowed widow
Can't get a responses and his trip X alone flashing his way forward trying to get another
But he can't seem to land their big fig themselves into the grinder
There's us in the pistol round and you do wonder how long is it gonna take people to start recognizing this kind as fellow?
is quite good on Ursa because he's played, this is now his 29th map on HLTV with Ursa
and then he's played another 20 odd with Rustic and that's it so he really hasn't had a professional
career yet but he's just so confident and I think that always makes you feel as if you've got a talent
if someone that is just not afraid to just constantly reface constantly try and go back
back in for more and more Joels.
There's another one out of the CIS talent factory that is that whole region.
Definitely looking towards seeing what he can do in the future.
I would say a high level competition might draw more attention towards his name.
Definitely, yep.
But certainly have been impressed with the level that he's been performing at against Luxaby Academy.
Awesome
We're gonna make it light work of the rest of this map up and leaning to dust to
Which again we question mark whether or not that will be a smart call with big also loving the map up with it
How they're playing right now. I don't have anything to fear
Now they picked that map against BC game in what the opening matchup of the IM Rio qualifiers and already got a huge upset there
They then were able to pick it against back boomer when it all runs in regulation
So they picked Dust2 against even some of the best teams in tier 2.
10-4.
And look, we have the conversation quite often, Jay, about map pool depth.
I know that big aren't playing many series, and they're playing United 21 right now,
that's not even on HLTV for the group stage,
but they have legitimately only picked Ancient and Dust2 for three months of HLTV officials.
We've not seen any other map in the pool getting picked by them.
It's something that we have discussed.
It can't be a one map or a two map team. We need to have some sort of balance.
And maybe this is why Overpass was being introduced by the big side.
So far so little success being found the rifles around for the CTs
The first time in the half from boost their way in a find in some advanced angles process in particular
above J.O.
I mean watching the doorway is not really able to spot process
He doesn't extend that far just yet. He ends up backing off almost entirely. It really does back off entirely
It's kind of checking angles. It should have spotted the jump face back to APC
where I was just looking for information. Now we've seen his man most definitely smoke at the ready.
Ooh, gun barrel being seen by J-Bone. That'll be seen to the scene.
So, guys, as well, need to hit that shot, and they need to make sure they do not catch up Donny.
Alvin to engage, but doesn't get anything in return. Donny does get a kill back,
and a ding down to the second man. 4v3.
And they just got to keep fighting now. Resmote comes down at good timing.
A process even got the flank.
There they get seen. Taking it back. Bartholme's get cleared up.
It's all about the long access here for the remaining two members of us.
Alvin Carnes and a 2v4, making it 1v4, Alvin no chance at 11 points to Alvin,
he's gonna get that one good cheeky pick but no more than Matt Jepard and puts him back down
and bigger on the board for the second half. We need to carry five more in a row to close the gap.
Well, there just wasn't enough B pressure there on the default for Mercer. It allowed the CTs to
take short water and then from there you just have a pretty common Astralis setup,
AWP sitting back defensively, M4 closer on the angle, holding down the Divider,
Without a flash it's very difficult to break that set up apart because the AWP tends to always win the opener
Draw the attention then the M4 can do the same
So easy round there from big for us on that will be a tell for J.O. to say okay
We need to have a little bit more activity in our monster lurk
We maybe need to pressurize short water early on into the round because that's what came to ruin our chances basically
Tactical pause inbound from the tease
One in sets, limited in some capacities for us in here.
There was just seen barely by the Processor, so he tries to blind-fire but doesn't get anything more out of it.
I mean, Mokano is walking in towards mid with very little to return to.
J-Bones will be a bit more passive, although with the utility support and his teammates behind him,
trying to get more advance against them but will not spot the two players that are now at the entryway.
way, also search coming in towards short, so they're looking for a bit more map info.
And there's those exact thoughts going on, now he needs to try and get one here because
he is going to keep getting pressured and they excel towards A, they get Donny, now there's
only one more A player.
And J-Bowling was emboldened by his teammate support, try to get some more utility back
down towards the Divider, lean in towards the bathrooms but can't even move forward
on that smoke and J-Bowling has no idea, tunnel vision is scoped in, kill gets
found a double five on three triple
cadets secure poses given up the
ghostly position gets that casualty
back and we're just barely by support
they hold on to a three on three
return our trip x very aggressive and
hear the footsteps coming in will
call in the backup get the kill on the
veteran hours bomb right out in the
opening is up another one be one fight
and now Salazar reveals himself and
send the areas against forced into a
fight which he can win but burns the
mods off from trip x beyond the
grave barely around coming in from
beaver one during their way in the
less
excellent shooting coming out of trip
The only way that that round is winnable is if he shows up and they don't have the information that we do
So J.O. pass quite wide Alp just goes I have to swing in here Salazar is too far away
He's walking out monster. I can't wait for him to have a crossfire to get some sort of duel together
So I've just got a swing got to try and get that instant trade
And it's an AK with good crosshair placement that just starts farming
What a shame because that was a double entry there from Kada's that looked as if it was just gonna crap the bomb site and ruin the round
We're apparently un-rewarded for his efforts there, 21 kills.
And this is one of the rare few times we hasn't quite converted that into a round.
Well, it's with Eco, which being a Academy, should make light work of, you see, pick up
the process, that was long, three, four, and they secured, that's one of the series and
a bit anticlimactic considering it was the player that was bottom frag up until this
point.
Ended the half completely fragless, at least in terms of the rival bases, turning
up and in more than 10 kills for now, thanks to five of them coming in from this
Eco.
pistol in round 13 so yet to really see too much impact on a gun round but look
I also have got themselves a good lead here they've still got plenty of rounds
to work with I think at the moment they're not gonna be sweating this
little street that's coming in for big Academy all the rifles are turning on
mass here and now let's see whether they can continue to contend here on
big Donnie looking for an opening neighbor didn't end up pulling the
trigger on it balls back almost entirely from that mid axis and
I keep going straight towards the A bomb site. Searching in towards monster in the meantime, Widow lands a thing, the Salazar gets the spray and the Inventor's secured, the AWP 5 blind, there's nothing, blind spray of the M4, similar story as well, HE revealing that player's rock positioning, TRIPX guys get that kill together in the end, so it's a 4v4.
But as they search, they realise that the real execution's inbound already, the A site is definitely target. Donny would have been hard, but our player inside the front could push forward, could get 4x in with the kill, and DD gets one of them.
The trade back from Alv can return to an Inventor before us are here.
here. Lovely work, Salazar out there on being so much time wasting, stalling and
eventually just allows the acceleration towards a... now Tripex and Jaboen should
really be saving here. There should be nothing in this 2v3.
Alright, going for it. I'm gonna try and look for something great here.
Out of vantage. Locked out of the bomb site. The HE on the Tripex here and
with the footsteps of course they're making headlines about the attempt of
this retake. Flashbang sent in, Alvan affected and back to Moby defected by it.
Triple H, back turn of the run-up, up with a swing, kill on the first, second nearly coming in, half HP for Jay Bowen, all players pushing into dumpster, we'll take it down to the end.
And no man stays alive, a big Academy here, 11 for us, two more to the other pass, win.
Yeah, I don't know about that one for me, Jay. It's a 2v3 where the scoreline is going to be 7-11 down.
And if you lose the following gun round, you're going to have absolutely nothing for the map point.
I think this is ridiculous to be attempting a 2v3 like that and no backstab
I mean look at even what you've got the next gun rounds
I mean let's even forget about the reset
We've got a for Mars out for Donnie who's playing on the a bomb side and then Tripex who is in short water
They've got a 3k with an 8k in a previous is now on an MP9
Well tactical pause for big to assess the situation come up with a game plan a little bit late in the day
By the way, it is only the fast one calls
Four to the good, four to make up and Ursa are definitely feeling like they are in the
driver's seat. Any more positive as well for them given the circumstances that they're
in.
Again, they got Dust2 coming up with the second map in the series there, pick, big, love it.
Talked about that two map pull, one of them featuring Dust2.
They have to take where your opponent's map picked to start, the confidence that you
hold indicates a 2-0 potential for them.
So far so careful into round 19. Big regression into all the short access that Salazar is
going to find all the best of three.
Well, there's a bit of separation there, isn't there? I don't know what I'm witnessing,
Jay.
Why do I think I'm going to get an answer? That is mental science right there from
Proces and Widow, a complete disconnect. And I think that's the easiest 2K Salazar
is going to find all best of three.
Yeah.
God knows what's going to get taken back by Donny.
It would be nice to get that.
He lost their primary rivals there.
WPJ Bowen missing a shot. B site.
Tripex run to defend.
One kill from Rain trying to get out of the way
and he does.
But now another 2v3 ensues.
Tripex will try to flank Donny.
He's going to come in from short access.
wary of that potential backstab. He looks the right way at the right time, gets nicked,
also gets the kill. So Donny alone, 1v3, Alv watching the back line, watching short access,
teammate also watching short as well. Donny, with that pick comes up good, J.O. Falls.
Alv to the right is known, 4x is not so known, HE, lands pretty nice onto the man,
takes some noise but runs into 4x with a back turn, then all, it's my point for
So I just wonder if that slight run that big had a I am Rio of taking down foot nearly defeating nine nearly defeating nemesis
Was that just a honeymoon phase of a brand new lineup?
I mean process Bonnie and Tripex and only just joined the team when they went into that competition
Because from what I've seen from them on overbars made this is worse than mid
This is just so average to poor that there has been absolutely nothing that's caught my eye
Except for maybe some individual action, right?
But I think as as a team and how they've looked from with chemistry and protocols I've seen nothing
So outside of the top 200 in the world here in the academy canes
Tracks away with two more kills to his name 24 deep and when you are a misaligned team
That's the worst thing you want to play it's absolutely popping off from the opposing side of the full field
And there's no way to shut them down no way to counter it
And yeah, she managed to get a few kills, barely jump upon him in that last round, right?
The long extension didn't lead to anything, Vakana's, but it still didn't lead to a round
for the big academy camp.
Five on three, rotation into B, widow, SMG in hand, trying to find a counter flank angle,
trying to set a backstab against him.
They might not check it all the way, still fires prematurely, getting that one pick.
as our instant-responsive J-Bone Scout turns in a headshot and needs a lot more though out of it.
Another 2v3 for big play against Ursa. On the site, quick swing from Karniz, gets the man down,
the SMD from Proce is revealed, now drops that bomb. Plenty of time to recover and Karniz will
make it a quadruple. 26 kills, excellent 13-7 for Ursa to take a split. Very good showing from
Karniz, peeing out and dropping nearly 140 ADR in any match. Tells you that you're farming
and they've been able to put up some really good numbers
both the first half and the second.
Difficult performance there from being...
Look, we have to be honest with ourselves
they did lose both pistols and both anti-forcepies
which is never easy on any map
but how they performed in the gun rounds
Jay was a very lack of adequateness
so I'm not happy with what I've seen in the series from them
I now go into Dust2 with it being a really good map for Ursa
in which I've even seen Harnes and Jayo play a lot of officials recently
recently I don't think there's any chance for a turn for the Academy Rostar.
Yeah there is a very very difficult time ahead of the big Academy team yes they
like to pick this second map they like to go into Dust 2 but the recent results
of not yielding the wins that they're looking for they've yielded a lot of
struggles and overtime losses and yeah there are some one-sided affairs in
them at the same time for their win rates but we are looking at Dust 2 and saying
this actually might end up being a simple two-hero for the arse side. Big need to
do some serious adjustments some internal searching and some serious
talking in the next break because when we come back from it it will be dust two
Earth's chance to make their way into the next round.
You
I
I
You
Disappointment showing across the faces of big academies. They couldn't do much on their own map. Dust2 might be on paper, a stronger map for them. However, it is also the same as they said for us.
In the last three months, 12 of them have been losing a lot of success in general. That's exactly why we're looking to see them thinking that it's won here.
I think just with what this team can beat thus far, not a valid team play, some individual
moments yes, but even that doesn't run up for the individual showings that we saw in
the other part of the park.
So, it just looks too good for Duff's team right now.
I probably think that even that first map scoreline was misleading.
I think Ursa should have won more rounds.
I think Big should not have even been able to get towards Severed.
Now, I go out towards Duff's too, and it's something that you mentioned towards
the end.
The tacks coming out so late, you've got Spitty as the head coach here from
Big Academy.
But with how structurally they were looking for a map number one, I'm very surprised we didn't see more tacticals in that first half.
We didn't see more overall using all three of them in that first map.
Because now you're going a map down into a side here of Ursa that have won at what?
Five out of the past six times on HLTV, where all of them are blowouts.
We're seeing 13-2s, 13-7s, 5s, 4s, 6s.
It doesn't matter who their opponent is, it tells you that in the last couple of weeks, they are farming everybody on Dust2.
Indeed they are, and that is a concern for big considering that we just saw what we were essentially outside of the school line.
It's a farmer effect. I mean, you're right about the potential situation of the school line looking a bit misleading because of the big academy.
Remember, their first round came off the back of an eco-steel.
That really redefines exactly how bad things can get at certain points for them because they need to really adjust against that.
They need to make sure that things start going a lot more consistently for them.
hoping again that they're in comfortable territory to start to get some of that going but
I'm not sure I'll be enough to win the map right here.
Ursa, they've got a very key star in Karnes who is easily MVP.
Not number one, he easily was the ultimate performer for that overpass
and I'd imagine that he might do some of the things he's going into Dust2.
Yeah well Dust2 has been averaging a 1.23 rating in the last 10 officials that he's playing
which was the highest out of anyone on his team itself.
And I know that we can have an expectation of coming into this,
it's not easy because you're gonna have Shelfie, you've got Jeyo standing in.
They've pretty much spent the entirety of the last month having Karnas as their fourth
and then anyone between Turbo, Shelfie and Jeyo being their fifth player. So I think they're
familiar with what it's like being at disadvantage with this whole new fifth situation every single
time. I just hope that Ursa can go and fix it. I know that Jeyo will not want to come back
to competing, he'll want to be the head coach of this side, but they've got to try and sort
themselves out especially if they want to get out of this rut of what is a bit of a low ranking in
VRS right now. Yeah again like I said before they needed to above all else sort out the fifth
man situation because Shafi not being here and I was expecting him to be here I think might
be a bit more of a weakness to the side hasn't shown so far in terms of the results so
won't be a major concern at least to start things off and the pistol round there on the
T side and the answer is that B site widow trying to tap his way to victory getting some
dinks down damage being done and Groucher turning towards the European stair they could
They're all a little bit flustered there at the entryway towards the tunnels, but the TCT side just can't seem to capitalize upon it.
No kills going their way until far too late.
Processor gets one of the back lines, Dave Bowman picked up towards the window, triple kill of a Processor in the end.
Looking for the quadra, they both swing together, and they coordinate that well for pistol wins on Earth's side.
Well considering they've missed the molly towards the back side, I cannot believe how clean those entries are.
So many whips from everyone on Big Academy, didn't matter if it was the backside player, if it was Donnie coming out of window.
I mean, you just need to be lucky one.
The air process makes it slightly expensive towards the end there,
but that's a dominating pistol coming through from our side.
A good advantage to kick things off.
That's three out of three pistols wound by the Oursa side.
The second round, they're coming in easy to be gained, big.
Big got no investment as it was throughout both of those conversions. They did not force
the issue in Gamble stacking towards the long position, which might prove to be a little
bit damaging for us in the post round, but short is the angle of attack for now. A bomb
is not committed. They're just searching for that info and trying to find out where
the stack is.
The big aren't going to get much in this round at all. And for us, they're scaling
quite nicely, Joe with the MP7 is trying to come out from the longhouse,
a jibo in his tucked, now as soon as he gets contact that's when the majority of
the others try and swing.
Still channel gets that kill together in the first man, at least the damage
compounds, only an SMG being dropped and I start to read on to the fact that it's
probably going to be the ace fact. The Mach 10 from range will certainly confirm it,
damaging the first play road towards the house and two more men seen out
towards the cross corners, pinned in towards Gandalf still ends up with a
a wonderful sequence of a quadra and two HP within it.
Two zero start for the Ursa side,
rifles inbound from big, nothing major loss for the T-Z.
Now we know that on the first map,
Karnes was quite aggressive across both the first half
and the second, he was always looking to take fights.
So it's no surprise that his ADR was up at 134
when nobody else got to 100.
I think it's gonna be slightly different
on Dust2 though, isn't it?
Now on the T side, he's gonna be the second
and third guy into the majority of execs.
So, trying to play the late game situation and then as soon as he gets on that safety side he's going to be that B rotator taking a lot of fights mid, helping out the B ankle quite a lot so just watch for him and I'm trying to take jewels.
He's leaning forward for X.
Short control being gained by the T side line process.
This is where Big Academy needs to, while hold on to long, play Retake A.
Karnos is waiting to see if any aggression goes down less than a minute on the clock process resmokes off towards mid still lack of info here from the CTs
Nothing given away by us up
They're burning through even more utility a third smoke just came down there towards the tunnels
They've got only one smoke one flash and one HG enough on the utility pouches to
Suppression I'm going to use that smoke right now because they're all held up towards this short access
He's not going to do so was to take the fight directly and lands up well against 4x
That's the only one he can gain the smokes over at elbow and ensure that he covered off all the way up until the short
So a plant position
There's volume to use the fire away finding a better angle process goes get caught and J bowing goes down towards
Kindness in the meantime bomb plant secured
We take man disadvantage still what one player cut off the mid rotation cells are good for a one-for-one
But that should be one more enough
Tony's hoping for some more aggression and Alvis in a position where he can't fight
Triple X is now caught towards the right hand side of the pit great shot to the first off angle on this card player very difficult to adjust
It's an easy kill for J.O. And that entire round J
Just based off of Jabo and getting it open up, but then spacing in util being really good from us
It wasn't at constant flashes make it really uneasy for the AWPer and then as soon as they start scaling up even from CT on the
Rotate Alvis in that slight cubby off angle in the short position
and it means that Ursa will get off to a very similar start like they did on Overpass.
They got 4-0 last time, they'd love to try and do the exact same thing again.
Alex to be on the land, he's got lots of wards.
half by inbound from big
half by inbound from big
I've only got a scout which has done some okay damage over an overpass.
Nothing to turn anything towards big favour, no rounds going to a 6J bow and scout sequence.
Coming down to being the only rifles, this is everyone else, it's a very basic set-up
that shouldn't lead into the rifles in the next round.
Al's AWP on the contrary is going to just wait and search as the rest of us are
Well, we haven't seen any pace from them on this T side as of yet. It's been very slow very util based
Widow might catch a good timing against Alizah. I was just trying to back up in the upper tunnels
So yep gets himself an opening kill. This is where the T should start accelerating for an A split though
Well, I'll do taps the AKC one player on the site
Scout's rotating, supporting from mid, could preventry.
But by rotation room 4x, what was that?
Prostus capitulated upon and now Alv can strike down the counter rotations.
Back in from mid, you'll watch Alv from short, get to a much more passive angle,
try to bait them in a little bit closer, land another one, trip baits,
dip in for a third, doesn't quite get it.
Jay Boren responds and now the T just play the suppression game,
play the defensive and big look at that one, go back and save.
Well, you don't see that every day. I think the only weapons you see jumping and shooting is probably the SMGs or maybe a TET9 and a 5-7.
You won't get rifle players doing it very often.
The forex has got a bit of luck and a bit of RNG on his side, but you know what's backed up really nicely with?
Just a bit of control from Al. We might sit here and laugh about how that first AK kill comes in.
Look what Al does out there towards Short. He's being disciplined. He slows that round down. He cuts the rotations.
And then it sends Jaboan and Dottie in from a mindset of okay, we might look and see what's going on tonight
Let's just instantly save us just hold on to our weapons and that is the real quality about us
Jumping AK shots just a cherry on top
For an I start for us at least big can be
copy with an AK held into the next round it would be nice for a second.
The Ault sent the J-Bell in and the rifle basis for everybody else now comes in to
effect big. So it starts with this second map of 4-0 that live into that 4 and 3
eventually when big bullet, slight come back over on the parlor pass. You're
gonna open pick on this round as well so that's our finding widow from beyond
smoke at B. We saw Zalazar being quite annoying and frustrating outside of Monster on that
T-Sign, just always lurking, catching good timings. Walk out here, loving short right
now at the T's. Well, I'm on posters, go blow for blow.
They're back somewhere, another casual T's at the CT side, that Kami and Forex have
dealt with as well. Donny can get the advancements together for a big jail, know there's
someone inside that smoke that he revealed. Can't quite get him though.
Al stands alone and bombs on his back, AWP in hand and they take the bomb site.
Doesn't look too positive, a potential chance for him.
Yeah, Jaya knows he had to be winning that fight. He gets that one into 2v2.
There's something in the round, but as soon as he misses, I'm from process.
That's it. So, a good little individual sequence.
And for Ersan, even though they get a B pick, we're still seeing a lack of activity from them out mid-doors.
They're not pressurizing towards CT, they're not pressurizing the B players from that area, it's pretty much a short take, short take,
and they're not getting long spawns in these first few rounds.
So we're seeing no real presence from that either.
Big.
It's not seen Salazar on the other side, I was just going to say because of that flashbang
Salazar was able to cross.
When I wasn't expecting it, wide swing, headshot, gain, advantage, I mean the B-Stock's completely
opened up right now.
So he's going to try and make a move to account for the manic and messy stuff there ahead of
the X-Blocks.
He can take down our, but Jail's good for the spawn and keep the rotations cut off
as he doubles up.
Trip S extends out towards the longhouse and now the T start entering into V.J.
Bowen's AWP.
Radar was the B-Door cross, there's no one in front of me, I'm not sure that
wasn't called in by Tripex.
The jump face from one player, Suckabang, all so seen that J-Bowen lands that
head from beyond the doorway because his own style shot 2v2 has been brought back, 2v2
is going to leave for the doorway. And another one on Salazar! And this is why he's been
picked up clearly. Haven't seen it all that much in this matchup but he lands ostensibly
on 1v3 to deny the plant and to gain the round for Big Academy.
A little bit of spark, a little bit of life. I think we've seen a very flat performance
from Big across this entire mess of three so it's nice to have some moments to that
degree for Ursa. They'll be gutted because everything is done so right. Jio out there
in mid is cutting rotations. They dealt with the B player. I mean Widow's getting bullied
right now on B. He's given up two frags in back to back rounds against Salazar. He's
just lurking, just looking for a fight and it had to be some X Factor to recover.
But it's similar to what happened to the start of Overpass, right? The rounds that were
being converted by Big, they shouldn't have been. They were then at the disadvantage
maybe either a mistake or some x-factor that's just got the team out of trouble
right here in a 3v2 and it feels like there's nothing in it. The shape of that smoke is a little
bit deep there because Jabon wouldn't have even been able to get the spam off with that first
orb if you didn't see any vision. Hmm true, very true.
One piece of mist to utile, make sure the difference in the wall clearly.
And J Balin comes the hero that Big Academy have been looking for all series long.
It's a nice escape into the cripples of peace sign economy.
There's already been a bit of awkward coming into that previous round.
Now certainly awkward here and now.
They still managed to get Proces back so one for one.
1. Scout and M4 can't get recovered and that's what they'll do for Al to get on the sniper.
M4 in the hands of Karno there. I haven't got any Kevlar to support it so Aintpunch will be a factor here.
They might be able to overwhelm the A bomb site. Jaboen is alone with the long player being
quite separated so if they can go one for one they probably get a bomb plant open for short.
Flash over, Salazar tagged, taken down by Donny, Tripex, then she tapped his head off
of J.O. and returning damage comes in from the rifle as J.Boling is still down, I'll
be on that smoke.
There's the edge of it, Karnas, seeing flashbangs hiding inside and he posted up.
Start to clear and we'll get that off of the drop, there's one out of three, second
one also comes down.
Look at the block pulled out 33 seconds as the last man though Widow here's those footsteps
There's an e of the creep closer and closer and more and more quietly
Can carna's get out of the bombsite rotate to be I think you might be able to do so
Why is he trying to go take back but no couldn't escape?
Just turned away by widow and the team ace comes out from big Academy. You just seal the round
Well, that's a glock round. I can't believe they've gone away. We nearly ready to get all you saw it as well
Well, he needed to get that reload off, but was so afraid of being swung as soon as he
did, he thought it's better off to go for the Glock, nearly escapes out towards B. That's
not a good sign for Big Academy at all. They should never be losing as much as they do
to Pure Glock's.
much earlier tactical for big as a result of that I can't see why speedy
would be happy so express that frustration and try and again put them
on the right path because big have been off that path for the longest time
here
calling the tack way too late for my money and lost my path going in early
nothing is one yes these things are appeared very similar again that other
The pass went down 4-0 into a 4-3 and Ursa broke back away through a lead and did 8-4 at the turn, and of course the map win.
If the trends continues, there will be 3 in a row now for Ursa, so need to see a return, need to see a break of the side, beautiful big academy.
With a charge forward for Jay Bowen, does not hit the shot of the player with suicide.
Doesn't quite get punished for it either, the names come down, the 8k tries to engage Akane's.
He doesn't quite get away with it, Jay Bowen.
I'm lucky to escape with his life there.
His chances in both teams, process extending out to go and get two,
and it's now starting to get very messy,
starting to get very chaotic between these two sides.
Indeed it is.
Processing an ability to deal with that aggression
or put his aggression to great effect.
It's an advantage for being a canadine for a player
that was pretty much bottom of the board in the last map.
So
Slowing it down
Carefully putting their way up towards men and short access in from the mid-door way Alph has his AWP scoped in he's looking for that fast kill
And your poet is also scaling so it's just a matter of timing and they should drop you till but Alph just wants to keep winding up even further
Oh gap in that smoke to generate there for the T side.
Al does not see anybody beyond it, does not stick around long enough to find Al.
He's got a bomb in his back after all, so when the commit comes through, he needs to be with
them.
The P players have still got some decent util.
Winner has got both a HE and a Nintendo area to try and block him, but er, so they just
have to commit here.
Al smokes that they can use to extinguish the flames, you're going to push forward
and get the kill on the first man, M4's distracted, I can't believe that!
HP advantage, man advantage, and the bombsite capitulates, they've got to go ahead and pick up that bomb, eventually they will do so.
The how on earth if they conceded that plan.
That's a shocker.
Oh, everything set up to being able to not even deny a chart here for the T's, Tripex is in the bombsite, his teammate is nowhere near him.
This is a done deal.
Oh, boys, B players not even getting one kill between the two of them.
I don't even know what to say to that.
Just distracted, not sure where to look, that reeks of an experience and hesitation,
a little bit of lack of confidence maybe, I don't know what it is.
But it has just cost him a round, and Jay Bowen may well be losing the AWP right here,
he's got players caught on the level of the squad position, Alba go down.
Leaning up for more, overextending losing his lifeline and that is all players down on the big academy side.
I know it's only twice over here, but I'm noticing a pattern. One-type pause and big capitulate to the other side after both of them overpass.
I'm just opening one here on Dust2.
I'm giving us the perfect window to continue upon their aggressive stance and continue upon their lead.
I'm not even sure what Spitty would be able to add if I'm going to be honest.
I mean, I'm looking at that round thinking you've got two players on a B-bomb site that just can't put up kills.
I mean, there's nothing that a coach can change, right?
Not when it comes to examples like that, J.O. fast out of the long squads finally, the trade looks pretty good and Salazar makes it look easy for a couple.
President Trepec's are lined up in exchange, J.O.N.T.A.W.P was also seen, he tries to take a blind shove, he misses entirely.
Salazar now on the site, bomb has crossed.
No matter the time before it goes down, they're going to get faked right here. Close range and does land onto 4x, that's something.
Little something. Widow...
I'm gonna try and boost up with that M4. Don't need to be as plat as much as I want.
Flashed in. Kill found. Nice and effective. A 3-2.
That was my big Academy but it came in and got caught by Salazar.
He knows that his 2 plays out of the way, so he runs in towards Widow.
Owls AWP can land against him. 1v3 to claim.
First player to fall. J-Bowen not even required.
Donny just captures him extending the smoke and gets the kills together for the round for big.
Look, Jaboen has been a playmaker. He want to clutch out and be that he probably shouldn't have done and then that one there
Think roster have done everything right. They're scaling out long as a pack. They're putting you till down
The flank hasn't even activated too early. I think the timing looks pretty good
The players are scaling up ramp so you need to expect that at AWP especially with the Molly towards him
That his attention is gonna get drawn forward that his eyes are just gonna be set to the bomb side
And the flank comes in the orbs look in the other way and great shot from Jaboen
I'm here for the up as well, J.O.
Goes down immediately towards the longhouse,
process extending the short, getting forex.
It doesn't stick around to get greedy.
Got two-man advantage of the best advantage
we've seen from being pretty much in the entire series.
Fast into the openings, just back out of there immediately.
And Japan looking for another shot out here
towards Shorty lands it.
And this is always a good sign
when you've got an AWP up that can start bringing
a bit of confidence to the table,
start bringing in some multis because you were what 0-4 down and you're about to
tie it up at 5 apiece and probably go on for further. I think my largest concern
is we'll look at everybody else and I think other than Geboan not many players
have contributed to round victories.
Purses. Stand alone once again here.
I start with the very last counter was the elbow entrance and then the end
Tripex and Donny are great at it with those kills.
J-Bone with two in the round, it's still 12-5 on his kill,
counts down to do Kani's type things.
I guess we can't be too shocked given the circumstances.
Alright, two highlight players for both of these teams
before we went into the matchup and we're improving it across these two maps.
I haven't even passed off the Hero of the Nile for the setup here.
here for us, it won't be a true buy around it, it won't even be a half buy around it.
I want to see more from Djibon against some of those better teams in tier 2, we got taste
against Foot9 and Nemesis, but with what they've been playing in United 21 in the
East Plays Swedish land, we're yet to really see him take on the very best.
Out here towards mid, wants to keep fighting against the limited eco pistols, J-Roo is
going to try and set up Kani as much as he can in round 11, I wonder how dangerous
this can get.
The smokes come in towards the mid-door way, process behind the right bags.
Emma4 stands to attention, sees one head and flashbangs go out, the smokes as well.
Executions, down the set piece, he's forced into a fight in the open, he gets a kill for it,
for it and damage done from beyond that smoke as well. Opening casualty, USP's are drawn,
bomb plant should be secure. I think that is. Karna is involved, Donny gets to you back,
makes it triple. And they will sneak in the bomb plant bonus. So there's that much here
for us, but the round of the advances is the way it big. And they're looking for a
true advantage in the front of the half.
A bit of a shame they don't do more there. I mean, they don't know exactly what the
city side of the economy line is like, but if they made that more dangerous in the
last couple, maybe you don't see an orc there for Jabon, maybe there's AK's in the hand of
Donnie. So Jio is going to be slightly limited because of that hero for his teammate. That
big academy have got themselves a very good position of the map where they're starting
to now dominate. They're starting to put pressure on Ursa when there really hasn't been much
pressure from them across the best of three series. I still think even at bare minimum,
even if Jio and the boys do not get another tee around here, they go down five to seven.
I'm still pretty confident in their city side. I've seen them play Dust2 these last couple of weeks
and they are smashing teams. They look really good in second halves. So even from what I've seen,
let's be honest, it's not as good of a performance as Overpass. Still doesn't concern me for what
what the academy might do.
Yeah, again, I am in agreement over what I think
I should have played the better game.
Remember how the economy is lined up
throughout the course of this map.
At least Jay Bowen is giving us some faith and Proces is also not doing too bad himself
as a complete contrast to the previous map.
I have no moments to turn the rounds in the favour of the open kill, the short support,
the push in towards the longhouse.
are there two stars in the making here for being a
good shot from ours put one of them down widows the man that gets caught on the
cross j bow and his sneakers way to walls the tunnels and be aware of that much
the passion away and kind of check for it scopes in h.e.s doing damage shot
missed out the dead ones a second time D. will stand the violators gonna try and
force the man down by HP but can't as he pushes him to get that killer out
with one of his own Donny extending out towards the top of short but
doesn't get much more than a single kill and the balls he plays the extensions and
beard go completely arrive around 12. And it's crazy when you consider when they
did that last time okay where Jabon when aggressive mid process walked out Long
House it was decimation process was able to get a couple of kills it looks
really uneasy this time Kanes is the only one that drops and probably the
only player that could have dropped just because of how much pressure there
was there from the lower tunnels of the util the span the short player it's
a very good sequence in the days.
Chip X tries to engage against one more, but before X is taken down,
Widow's about to be receiving the entire execution.
1v4 on 22 HP.
So the smoke's coming out towards the position.
Molotov's there, down the back site, and he's a dead man walking.
Six apiece at the turn of the half.
It's a little bit better for Big, but still, not quite the score,
and they were looking for Reni and an advantage to carry over the second half,
because he's still going to be competent from us.
Should I set a break and come back when I see this guy?
ESL presents ESL Challenger League in partnership with Intel,
Acer Predator, DHL, and Czechs.
That's set even, but us is still a lot more competent side. Can they close this out into
2-0 bigger, a T side-half to try and deny it so. Donny draws up the hose, been killed a pistol win, but Alph's stomach is away.
The stunning kill on the way back out of the hard-to-cover.
The 4-on-4 established, and 4x had to swing in against some more ground, against some more access.
Processes tagged up on the cross, Tripp X on site, gets the kill on towards Alph.
Advantage for the time being, 4x has plenty of players right behind him, like Karnes who does take down process,
but Tripp X is able to take down an A-man with a centralized contact.
Karnes with his headshot, 2v2, Alph skirt's player coming in from long, goose down.
players at the CT side are half HP or lower. They still get Jay Bowen though, he drops Widow,
he's also tagged, going for the bomb plant. They're coming in quick, they're trying to force
on the pallet, jump plays, gets the information back, and they're gluing, he's the ice that
he's killed, can't get a headshot, and Karnes ends with a Quadra that secures yet another
pistol win for Ursa. I'm convinced that Karnes might just be the best player of all time,
and we just have no idea. He has been unbelievable across this best of three.
Now that pistol, it doesn't have a lot of backing at all.
I think J.O. gets caught quite early out there from the car.
Alv is struggling quite a lot from CT.
Rotates are coming in, but even Forex is struggling on the bomb site.
It's just Karnes to do it again to get the team out of trouble.
Wouldn't guess so far is the greatest of all time, but you know...
Mate, I'm saying this!
I'll put my foot down!
We'll come back in 10 years!
I don't want to be dead by that play.
Come on, mate.
died of old age me
yes it's still going we're still trying to get tamed out of $200 on BRS
CS 2.1 at that point
that's a
pistol win to secure
an advantage over big, a return to the advantage over big because I've had it for the entire game
I'm only big enough to equalize
Never truly edge out the Ursa camp. They've got their rifles back in the force by for once this time
Always E code in all four of the break around that they've had
And group and move into was the a kicks execution via sure Alva's giving a support from J.R.Rain
And now he is the main defender burst fire sprays doing a little bit of damage towards Croesus and Cineo
And they're trying to lock down the smokes in the way to block out vision kills
not getting found against the T side line Alvix where they were one with a returning
frag and jaggers they had out of dodge. They are so tagged up the man of Alvix won their
way until 4x strikes down with the SMG, TRIPEX turns it into a 2v2, he's low, Jay Bowen's
at range at high with a scout in mind, USP is looking for a stray bullet to land towards
the man instead TRIPEX gets the kill back, 4x takes the return and Alusia swing in
damage being done towards the CT player but he needs that kill more desperately and
the range game works better for the scout so big can equalize and actually steal one
back from Ursa's side. I've no idea how Tripex stays alive there. Those bullets are being fully
spammed towards reverse default. They know where he is and yet he just somehow doesn't fall. That's
very unlucky there from the CTs that 4x doesn't get him cleanly and a very good clutch. There's
two clutches now in one map for Jaboan and for Ursa it's a shame because that would have led to
quite a lot of early momentum. Would have got the economy on your side, would have backed up
Cardes nicely in the pistol not to be big Academy survived
And times all that momentum towards their favor instead we'll see a force by coming in from us that would be and for for Cardes
by sevens on two
Peter if you for one more tactical ports calling for being for the
Second time in this match up third time in the series overall
And the first time we're seeing one of these two teams calling out more than a single one
the map the academy will know now get 7 7 win this next anti-force bike up 8 7
you'll have a freebie towards a ninth Alvis holding out this top mid position
and carnage is going very aggressive with the M4
I'm going to drink bow and salad and I'm also going to drink bow and carnage, those get
caught off by triple X.
Cleaning in from the lower tons, we'll get up to that M4 with a map tent and upgrading
from that.
My one for advantage, full big academy of course and us are losing that main weapon
means a very little chance now to hold the defensive.
Smoke's admit to being giving Salazar a lot of pressure if the new decided to end on B.
They're pretty crazy that no one is scaling top mid in that default.
Kanes knows with an M4.
I have to play a 50-50 there and hope that someone swings me top mid
before they come in from the lower tunnels and it just doesn't happen.
Salazar has got a bit of an awkward timing here against the T's.
Oh, perfect timing here's the T's.
Well, I know he's here because he just dropped the smoke, so not really.
Because if he's not on the backside, he's got to be window.
I'm going to start some out in the air, I didn't quite turn in to see the player be on the smoke.
So 5 on 3 indeed established down to the last few players.
I have to save their weapons, save what they've forced into.
Really isn't much to speak of.
8th to the board of Big Academy for the first time in this map, and for the first time on
any map they will be in the lead compared to ASA.
and again all that economic group is shifting their direction now the basis to play from
and something now to dream for. Be basically going out for the other camp on the contrary.
Big Academy, we'll look at this round and say just make it expensive, we saw what in that first half it was Karnes, wasn't it, with that Glock that then upgraded towards an M4 and nearly won a round.
So we've already seen the limited upgrades be dangerous and be quite damaging.
Three players out here towards Long being met very heavy against the T's.
The new tilt down, Owl of all forces, left 2 kills, just take the tack shot instead.
Kill found at the start, J.O can take down process as well, advantage has been taken by
the CT forces, 3 on 3 with Tripex's trades with him and J. Bowen.
Kind of damage being done towards the 2 men, saying we're aware of the fact that
there's potentially even more kills on the table here for us at the Incinero's
Trapping triplex pack the bomb is under siege and the scout land straight bowing always getting dangerous now
Delil picked up the jail
I'll get some back to look towards CT spawn do you see that player we scripted towards short m4 tap and burst widow
struggling to deal with the man he eventually gets his kill and that leaves jail all alone Salazar usp coming in
He's seen his man
He can tap his feet try and tap his Achilles he'll do some damage that might set up for the kill in a later portion of
The round but a 1v2 friend to maintain the veteran
Stalling out the longhouse player
And he's heard nothing more.
Well, with the HP bars being where they are, this looks promising for J.O.
It's the U-Till that you're going to be up against in the double swing that's not going to be easy.
The rotation of one man is going to have his head turned towards the long position.
Here's your comment. Good line up.
He gets the faster the transition than a second as well.
One HP with a difference, but it's enough to steal again for ourselves.
song. Oh my goodness. He's 11 years older than the youngest player of his own team. Oh,
the coach has stepped up. He's had a quiet dust too. He looks pretty adequate out there
with that number one. But then right there, that is a clutch that is so damn needed and
it's such a light investment. Oh man, how are the Ecos doing so much in this best of
three? Perhaps that even tells you about the level of both of these teams, right?
and then letting rounds like that really slip.
Big once again, left with egg on their faces.
Not the first time in this series,
and I'm lucky it'll be the last one either,
although they are running out of time.
Arthur, back on the guns, big by back into the guns
and the rifle rounds set up.
They take quick, short access, taking a thumb noise as well.
Again, bomb not committed towards the short play.
It's not going to learn to with execution the he's will try to shout some damage and process will be a half HP
us up
Sorry for the defensive even so
But they're expecting a drop down to come from ct. That's what forex is pre-amming potentially a process drop
Now alva's got the awp out towards carp tripx is trying to put some b utile down to hold attention
But this is going to be a short play
I'm just going to search for him, no counter-smokes.
So Rhaenie finds a fight, triplexes down, and the HE lands pretty nicely on Widow as well.
Proces takes a little bit of that tag damage.
Alph, upshot, lands a new ease of flick towards it.
Forex now looking for a kill.
Bit Auckland on the spray basis, and Proces dives out of the way just about.
Eventually he goes down towards Alph in the next one.
Jail now in with support.
Forex gets his kill, dropping the bomb, dropping the frags.
A 1v5 we're going to try and play against here and Jay is watching him from car and all.
No way to break back in, no way to get back this round.
It's us so that we'll reclaim the lead once again over big.
Now if we're really going to dump this down Jay, if I asked you from a T side perspective,
what do you need to take short?
What would you tell me? Just what do they need?
What do they need?
Can't make it really simple, really simple.
What do you need?
Well, I mean you need an opening kill.
Assuming the CTs are pushing on and they're holding down your defensive position,
they're open to killing Nid.
In this case, there was no defensive, so really, nothing.
I mean, maybe a flash round the corner before it's a pure position.
A flash. You need a flash in every single short take.
Orphas love posting on that car angle, don't they?
And if they're not blinded, they're not being pushed away.
How are you committing short?
Donnie was the only player with you two in that round, and he's the long lurk.
That should be where your in-game leader of TRIPX says we can't go short.
We have to go mid to B. We have to cancel and come up with another adaptation.
I cannot believe they're taking short there on a gun round with not a single flashback.
I look rough.
And that round itself is rough. Not even 4x falling down, 2 HP to him.
10-8 rifles coming back in from big and what will be their final true gun by
Even that's limited by the galeel on process part
They're making a ton of noise towards it, no allowing this whole aggressive from Ursa,
they're back to centralise to the bombsite.
Ursa are just not challenging too aggressively in these rounds and they've got a reed of
stacking up very heavily towards A. You've got a single player of Salazar that's out
on B and we've not seen any of the action. I know that there's only been a few rounds
of the second half being played out but there's been not much mid to B pressure and not a
single walk out of the upper tunnels and into B.
Well pretty much we've been short execution, hasn't it?
And Proses is walking out mid doorway now and they brought a third player over to
the B bomb site so they're actually are prepared for it this time.
Bar's contact from Karnes, takes spray back, damage being done in both directions and also
towards the CT side.
And what's expected to both be up close and past it with those peeks in Karnes and Salazar
good to trade with her with a responsive backing, he escapes down towards the window.
A three on three can ensue until Donny strikes that mid-lock and takes Karnes down.
Now all of the negatives to being in Academy, there's a great positive there of that
check out towards the balcony position.
That was a really good lean there from process.
That's not being cleared the rounds just over and then from there
I mean it's three on B
And normally any time you've got three on B
You just can't lose it
But because that window player was checked early and then the swing comes through of the player on the off angle
I'm holding out from the upper tunnels. You're then focusing 180s in front of you and then you've got to try and turn around
Never easy. Ursa had the read had the right set up but didn't have the clinical kills
So big Academy give themselves a really tiny nice
that's trying to keep pace trying to keep themselves in contests for this map one that
surviving here for being made no mistake they are down on the series board
established a third tactical called in their last one of this game I'm saying
earlier what Spidey could be saying in some of these comms will be a little
bit difficult to really recognize what it would be able to predict because they have
been so rough at certain times with big. And even now I'm not sure what he could possibly
do to keep that confidence running. It was one good round, but now you're facing a different
us, a double orbs in play for Alvin Salazar and still money in the bank to work with.
Big have a lot of what to do to reclaim the lead.
Spiddy's always going to be able to help a line when it comes to defaults.
Levant in the world for most maps played on HLTV across CSGO and CS2 and hasn't been an
active player since the end of 2023.
His first coaching job though and always like it when X-Pros go down the divisions,
go into Academy projects and the lower end of tier 2 or tier 3 rather than just instantly
being let's say slingshot towards the top because of your name.
Karnes aggressively looking to try and fight these lower players but the U2 is just going
to force him away.
Salazar's AWP.
Seen in that face out towards Prosper, but the incendiary down and immediately blocking
the entries and a flare flashed their way forward.
Couldn't be a sitting duck in that exchange and it was a right call to make.
Ok, Boa now, burning his smokes up towards mid, Kades is still watching and waiting for
more contact.
Alph...
I see the bullet flunger's direction, look at the extension of Kades here, confidence
pure and true in his name, one-for-one traders, Tripex will go down but Donny gets the response
and now his smoke goes deeper, the tunnels, the Salazar cannot see anything more there.
They know that Salazar's AWPing, this is going to be really difficult because they're
now walking through the lurks mode.
Gets out of the Wage Inn, Wild Tolls and HG's on site, still lands that kill
on Widow.
Tempting fate to dip in for a second, he just flashes way up beyond the wall while avoiding the contact and keep the T suppressed by Util.
Bomb plant will be allowed with the retake, favours all of us in there.
Saldar knows that no one's crossed out towards the backside, but Donny's been able to swing straight into him.
3v3, you might not even want to commit for this.
I'm still rotating a third man up here, Molotov going to drive a 4x back.
trying to boost up with AWP, he's not facing the player behind the big box.
He has now though, Proce's caught. Is this the new window in?
They're gonna go through window most certainly.
Jay Bowen, posted with the AWP though, lands out fast.
And not back by a second though, don't want to get to kill on towards J.O.
Unaware as the player has already done that, 4x with one, nearly with second.
USP's pulled out, but Jay Bowen knows the time's on his side.
4x has a kit, but no utility to block his vision.
And so he's gonna run away and grab that AK to save it.
Big belly come out on top with their 10th round and equal score line.
That save would have definitely annulled another bind to come forward.
They might even think about forcing the issue here.
They know that the economy in the reserve is light.
They know that Lost Bonus is very limited.
So one player staying alive and it ought being saved.
This might be the call that Joe goes,
yep, let's buy it up.
Let's put pressure on.
That's the margin entry into window that you had a flash bang.
Well, you prayed the wish you had a flash bang.
had to go dry there for us and the AWP, so Baron reigns supreme with it.
Alzor reinvesting and hoping for more contact in the tunnels he's currently set and ready.
Being in aggressive fast up and now tunnels will be taken, watching short access, forex
will be waved, there was a mid doorway in the areas and flashbangs down, this time
to use the U2 as a clear that position now, but not take that control right here for big.
Ursa, have got themselves Salazar on B but not a player that can assist quickly.
We saw previously they went for the lurk smoke, hugged on the left hand side of it and just walked.
This time it's Salazar comes up, he'll see everybody.
Got a line up, could find so much, only has to kill one off.
A lot of damage on Donny, which Forest can capitalize upon.
Try to look for the second no.
We know he's also tag low, but he's a dead man.
Two smokes coming in towards the B doors, three on three.
Bones been dropped for now, but it should get picked up and planted.
The blind shots of Alv doing very little, Jay Bones posted instead to receive from window.
They are probably not way forward of it in Cymniere.
On towards window, could get that kill, not quite.
He gets out of the way, Jay Bones, thanks to half HP in the meantime.
And the bomb plant is finally locked in.
Oh, Karnes is going.
Shots connected on Jay Bones as well, looking for the double.
Trippx 1v3, they swing together and Karnes credited with the two kills
the AWP saved over the next one. Excellent stuff from Arsot once again 11 backup on their
board not allowing big to take a lead again. Well they've called the tactical and they're
starting to hit the B bomb site a lot now so maybe this is a little bit of a tell of an
adaptation something that they're trying to come up with I mean that last round Salazar
did quite well and then also Forex does quite well I think both of those guys getting
one kill and wasting time sets it up because if let's just say they only get one between
between the two of them, it's just an instant save, isn't it?
There's no way they're even looking and committing for it.
And then right here, missed AWP shot,
or doesn't even get the shot off.
It's just a quick kill that comes through
from Kana on the edge of that smoke.
And I don't know here,
they have the balls to go for something like that.
22 kills deep, continuing to post top frag numbers
for his side, top ratings, top impacts,
top everything for him.
You know, it's been the standout man
across this deck for three.
And big or what a shot that is for Jay Bowen
Flick to the head land Salazar
And trying to work miracles for being a man needs some
Censions come out of smoke ahead
Connors where you receive one fight two picks. Oh, it's a wonderful spray sequence and looking to tip in for the triple
He gets it at all. You can't stop him. No one can stop him. Told you man
Best player we're ever gonna see that's another unreal sequence
And you know what's so good about it? It's the rate of dropping utile as soon as Japan gets that killed towards mid
He's thinking they're probably gonna excel be aren't they because they've already know they've been able to get one
They're on a weekend buy so I need to drop utile
But what's really clever is the reposition now don't get me wrong the spray transfer on the second and the crosshair placement on the third
It's magic, but it's the dropping of the utile and repositioning into the bombsite getting ready for them to pounce and fight off of it
I lost that bomb on the site.
I'm going to need to push the bait.
Bowlin is known about it here.
He's just looking for damage.
He's looking to try and take some exits.
If somebody's trying to lean into a retake though and clean the bomb site, it's still
so difficult to maintain.
Bolin, get the pawn, Alv lands him, Donny, tech 9, 5-1 player take down 4x, but Karnes
is just gonna get a squadra, 26 deep, 12-10, map and series point for Arsha.
Big Academy gave themselves a little bit of hope didn't they in the second half, they
were able to lose pistol but win the anti-force fight, you thought there may have been something
in it but it's just been yet again similar science to the rest of the series just a bit average just a
bit flat and now you've had back to that rounds where you are literally working with nothing you're
working with scraps of a bye you've got another scout out pistols I mean not even a single rifle
of an AK or a glul you'd be screaming for one of those on round 23
Scouts of J-Bone will lead them up.
He's seen a shoulder or something, some sort of pixel angle.
It's shot on all of this coming in for him, so there's a kill.
With an AWP for 4x, and now we're ready to receive on the A-bomb site.
It's one open, and the pros are being tagged up low.
In the short they look to go
Martos and smokes shot lands kill gets found easily second player
Not quite seen as a proficient maybe you're stalling up the head shot of the J. Pullen triple not allowed
USB is pulled out against these pistol players von pahn looking to be secured in not gonna get allowed though don't need taken down by the
HG of carnage and four X to make it a triple to seal the deal on this one
I said 13 10 and Tuesday link be down a lot of bracket and move forward in the opposite of the DSL
And I don't know which way to weigh up my perspective at the end of this series, is was this just a very good performance coming out of Ursa?
Or was this a poor performance of being an Academy versus a team that got a 31 year old coach standing in it?
I don't know. I think for Ursa's perspective, they were hitting really hard across both of these maps.
Kades was incredible to be able to drop 50 kills across two maps and easily be the best player of the server.
I think both score lines are pretty misleading. I think Ursa should not have lost that clutch to J. Bowen out there in the first half
The Dust2 that probably shouldn't have even lost the anti-force by round that started off the second half
So I think it would have been a lot more realistic to look at a score
Let's say 13 4 13 5 a Mach number one and then probably 13 to 6 13 to 7 ish here on dust 2
I'm thinking about it. Honestly like I do think it's a little bit of both of the performance that tricks because you are
I like a bit of a messy tactical team. The car is of course absolutely fragging away
So they're gonna move forward to take on the sign of sliding the next round, of course
So I think that in terms of their own performance is it was well earned in terms of that in terms of the position of game
They were playing with the coach the fact that they got as much confidence as they did in the individual basis
But the looks confident as they were in general is a creator was their name in my eyes
And perhaps this might be something that continues on at least for the foreseeable future for the next couple of tournaments
Jio only retired about a year ago and he has been an in-game leader for tier 2 for the majority of his playing career.
So it could be a position where you just go right, okay, we're having some problems with the Shafi,
we're not getting him into the roster frequently, he's not playing many games.
Let's just try and keep going forward with Jio being the caller, trying to help us through.
And it puts a bit more pressure on some of the star players, doesn't it?
It means that Kana is going to have to perform well, it means that Albus is going to have to play well on that AWP
because, I mean, Jero dropped, what, seven kills out there on map number one, and he was still on single kills going at the end there of map number two.
So you know that the frightened power isn't going to be there to a Shalfie, but at least the tactic base is certainly will do.
And hey, look, you want a really important 1v2 on the safety side of Overpass.
So even if his numbers aren't showing it, he is still finding the impact here or there.
Indeed. And I think that's a credit again to him and what he can provide.
I didn't need to be a star, I didn't think he has to be an impactful player,
but he certainly delivered what he was necessary.
So again, hats off to the team and to the team of Arsenal,
because I wasn't sure what to think about this side of the Stanley situation.
Again, the big academy is back to the draw and board.
I mean, would you say that's a performance that might end up going out
in last place here in Challenger League?
Yeah, it certainly could be, right?
I mean, I wasn't pleased at all.
I think the only silver lining, or let's just say positive in that series
was Jerry Bowen looked quite good, but that's not a positive beginning.
I mean, this is a team that's had a brand new core coming into January. You had got B as a coach. You've now got speedy as a coach.
Yeah, you're not playing a lot of officials, and I think it shows that on Wikipedia and on HLTV.
They're finding it very difficult with the VRS landscape.
But they're coming today against an Earthside that's outside of the top 100 who does have their coach standing in.
I think at a bare minimum, you've got to be taking a map.
I know that there's conversation to be had about their map pool overall, about not being able to get ancient.
But even still, I just don't think they were threatening in this series when they really should be
They didn't really feel like it so they were about to go to the bracket
compete in the next couple days to try and maintain their lives for us
So we're going to see them tomorrow however, because as tomorrow's broadcast we're going to focus on that upper bracket proceedings
We're going to see how round two we play out with more details on which match will be coming in in a short
Wiles time, but it's 7 p.m. CET if anyone join us back here
But even more challenging in character. But tonight that's all we've got for you. We'll see you back here as challenging cup two
The third steps engage the game's process goes down coming in the trade fight just about
just behind Harder cover.
Alva's alone, pistol inside of the smoke, and Jeff Olin, he's in high, and DDS rundown
with that pistol, Brock, the turn, now Chip X, very impressive, and then the first steps
coming in will corner the back up, get the kill on the veteran, Al's bomb, right
out in the open, give up another 1v1 fight, and now Salazar reveals himself, he's
thinking, I am infected with that, and we've cut it wide, Chip X back turn on
The right moment Albert Swing kill on the first, second, and nearly coming in half.
They feed to J-Bowen.
The first one in the side should be hard, he's exhausted, and he's got to be prepared for a double-up security move.
They seem to be using why they are so outside the top 200 in the wide here and there.
Also caught in by Trefex, the jump face from one player, second man.
All so seen, that J-Bowen lands that head from beyond the doorway.
This is his own style shot.
Two of you brought back to either the doorway, like another one on Sadazard!
And this is why he's been picked up clearly.
Haven't seen it all that much.
That smoke as well, opening casualty.
Yes, these are drawn bomb plants.
If he's secure close to what I think that is,
the Khan is involved. Donny gets two back, makes it a triple.
Head turn towards the long position.
Coming in, third line up.
He gets the fast of the transition and a second as well.
One HP's in the meantime.
And the bomb part is finally locked in.
Oh, Khan is going.
Shots being connected on J-Bowen as well.
Looking for the time.
You have to have a sledge of head, you can't S where you'll receive one pack, two big sides, a wonderful spray sequence, and look at him dipping with a triple, he gets in and all, you can't stop him.
