on console at the time and you know I wanted to have like VODs of my like

Like overwatch was kind of like already falling off a cliff like 2019 was around the time

And then when 2020 hit, I already knew so much about Overwatch. I was good at Overwatch.
Valorant had just come out. So for those who don't know the actual story,
the week I started streaming, like March 3rd, like when I got laid off,
was also like literally right after Valorant had come out.
And so all the Overwatch streamers, except J3, were all playing Valorant.
Nobody was there. Like, think about like the rivals, like Exodus,
where everyone stopped playing Rival, like Overwatch played Rivals.
Same shit basically. Fucking ghost town. Nobody was there.
And so I hopped into play right and I like
Would be in high-ranked lobbies and I played with J a few times because I'd already seen him a bunch
And so like within a month I went from like five or ten viewers to like
30 or 40 right because there was nobody in the category and then as they started to slowly come back
I would bump into them too and just like it just took off after that
But it was literally like perfect time. Oh six was barely scraping past
80,000 average viewers on a good month and when you compare it to fortnight seventy eight point three million active users each month
It becomes pretty clear. Yeah, it's the wrong game to bet on. Yeah
Like you won't you don't want to choose like a sort of put a small game instead of like a big game
But like it's so different now
It's more like about the creator, you know, and it's something that I I've been learned a lot is like I've always been like a
One or two game type of streamer
It's like it's changed so much and for the better like I think if you only stream one game like one
Hurt your like you'll never grow be on a certain point like you just you will get capped right cuz like that's it
That's all your community for is like that one game, but also to like I think it like genuinely does damage to you
You know over time like if you only show one game all the time every day
And that's it like you will either grow to hate it over time or just like grow to be apathetic
You know I'm playing Rainbow six each and yet jinxie stuck with them because even with all its flaws the siege was different
It's unique destruction mechanics and tactical gameplay forced players to think adapt and strategize in ways that no other mainstream
game dead, but choosing such an unpopular game came at a price. By ignoring the industry's
biggest titles, Jinxie made his uphill battle even steeper. On a platform already stacked
against smaller streamers, he was cutting himself off from the easiest route to visibility
and griping the game fewer and fewer people seemed to care about. For a year straight,
makes him stream frame by six gameplay to an average viewership of just five.
And at times it pushed him to the break.

As he got better at the game, the Siege community began to tune in.
Slowly, 5 average viewers turned into 15.
15 became 50.
And by June, his Twitch following hit jump from just 300 to over 3,000 followers, but
in the summer of 2021, he hit a wall.
1500 average viewers, the reach of Rainbow Six hit its limit.
Despite being one of the most popular players in the space, and even having a personal charm
in the game, no one outside of the Rainbow community cared enough to tune into the streams.
For almost an entire year- Wait, he had Charm all the way back at 1500 viewers?
That's crazy.
He sat there, at 1500 viewers, making enough money to not have a job, but not enough to
really live a life.
Until one day, he woke up to thousands of new followers.
He was confused at first, then checked TikTok.
Someone had screen recorded his stream from the day prior and uploaded a short clip to
TikTok.
It was of him opening Alpha Packs in Rainbow, getting the same annoying rubber ducky Charm
three times a week and this clip exploded on
tiktok breaking in over 17 views that jesus am i crazy i feel like this
doesn't happen anymore like i have not had a creator come across my feed
with a clip like this with like 15 plus million views
in multiple years like genuinely even even like top streamers like never see

The climb took longer, but it built a foundation that wouldn't crack when trends move on.

In just a few months, he went from a random kid on Twitch to the internet's main character.
And that meant his personal life wasn't really his anymore.
Relationships drama suddenly it was all being dissected by millions of strangers. Oh, yeah
This one's private became part of the content machine
Whether he wanted it to or not and even inside siege not everyone was happy with Jynxie
Some of the OG players hated the new wave that he brought with him
Yep, even though he's even though he probably brought thousands millions of new eyes to the game
game, people want those eyes on them. I remember seeing so many clips of his literal friends,
or at least when he was closer than the scene, turning on him over like 10 bucks or 20 bucks

All that stuff went away

No, we thought he was ruining the game or ruining the community. No one thought he was unfunny. They thought it was a chill dude
You know what the difference was he was getting a lot of attention and a lot of new following a lot of viewers and

And I was kind of like my moment that was like almost like my Joker moment of like damn
When you see more of that stuff, like the more hate you see, the more bullshit you see coming at you as a creator, that's a good sign.
As long as you haven't done anything like messed up, like that's a good sign.
That means you're getting into people's skin not because you've done anything wrong, but because you've made them jealous.

maintains an average of 2.6 million viewers per stream, meaning Jynxie alone
had 10% of the entire platform watching his stream. To Jynxie, this made it
infinitely clear. His fans were watching for him and no matter what he streamed, they'd be there.
The mental barrier of streaming was gone. Jinxie really just streamed whatever he went to.
He still streamed Rainbow, but there was constantly new additions,
some that even go all the way back to the beginning of this journey.
I've never even said this, but like I was streaming when I was a freshman in high school.
I was streaming when I was 15, so I streamed on three different accounts. I started off streaming
Clash Royale earlier this year Jinxie hopped back onto the Clash Royale grind
streaming more and more of the content he used to stream to just an audience of
five but this time it wasn't the task of reforming that was fueling the grind.
The same game that lit the spark of his competitive drive was surging again in
popularity and it would be easy to chalk that up to timing or coincidence.

Well when I first started playing I made sure not to go into wrist aiming.
I was going to try arm aiming because wrist can give you problems and I was like I don't
