[00:00:00] Hey everybody, I'm Shepda.
[00:00:08] You may know my left hand from the Super Mario World.
[00:00:11] Today, what we're playing requires the whole body, both hands, the soul and the mind.
[00:00:19] This is Joker Shelho.
[00:00:20] Okay, a fan game with a lot of shelves here with me on the couch.
[00:00:23] First off, I have the Kaiser Rungler, who will join your Polycule Storarius server
[00:00:29] as you ask and help you get to the Zana. It's B.K.
[00:00:34] Hello. I'm honored to be here.
[00:00:36] I was a sure part about it, but I would be banned from ever doing this again.
[00:00:40] But I guess you can't believe everything you're read on the internet.
[00:00:43] Next, we have one of the best and most determined Kaiser players I know.
[00:00:46] I am an awe at the fan game.
[00:00:48] She's beaten and created. This is no joke.
[00:00:50] I am reading this off the paper, but it is coming from my heart.
[00:00:54] This is Glitch Cat 7.
[00:00:56] I'm finally there a lover of email. They can tell you the difference between first
[00:01:05] second, third, fourth and even fifth wave if it exists, it is blue ribbon high-rise.
[00:01:11] And Johnny Nuss' host is another queer chisome member. One of the architects of the greater
[00:01:18] your Kanzo scene behind the scenes at his BD.
[00:01:21] You know, before we begin, I got one more thing.
[00:01:27] I want to let you know something about this fan game.
[00:01:29] BD alluded to this.
[00:01:30] This is a very difficult fan game.
[00:01:32] It kind of scares me.
[00:01:35] Of my three couch members, two outright refused to play it to prepare for this run.
[00:01:39] The last one, Glitch, of course, did because he is very good at Mario.
[00:01:44] But when I went through his stream, he saw me, he laughed and he said about running this better you than me.
[00:01:51] So, all right, we are ready to go. I'm going to do the countdown now.
[00:01:58] Three, two, one, go. Look like a fun.
[00:02:03] Oh, right.
[00:02:05] Now, let's get going. This is going to be a lot of fun.
[00:02:07] This is a fan game all about Koopa shells.
[00:02:10] shelves and we're going to be jumping on them, bouncing on them, throwing them using them
[00:02:15] to get through all the different obstacles. The first thing to note for those who are unaware,
[00:02:19] this is a really precise sub-discipline of tech in Super Mario World and we're going to look at
[00:02:25] the difference between moving shelves and not moving shelves. A Kupa Shell must be moving in order
[00:02:30] to get a jump off of it. So you're seeing something use a lot of different techniques to get a
[00:02:34] shell moving, throwing it against the wall to bounce off the wall and get a jump off of it.
[00:02:39] The kick and Koopa up there is going to come down and kick the shell
[00:02:42] and we're going to see a lot of different techniques.
[00:02:44] But that's the thing to keep in mind if you're unfamiliar with this kind of tech.
[00:02:46] Mooting shell needs a stationary shell, needs to be put in motion
[00:02:51] in order to get a bounce off of it.
[00:02:53] We do a nice juggle there.
[00:02:54] You're going to see a lot of these tricks get even more complex
[00:02:57] as the game goes on and kicking that blue Koopa out.
[00:03:00] We're seeing that on off block to open the way
[00:03:02] and all these things are going to come back nicely done.
[00:03:05] Very good. Let's get some height for that first lever.
[00:03:08] That's also fifth and fifth, but we are just shy of $20,000 a way from getting Mario Kart 64 on this schedule, y'all, let's go!
[00:03:18] There's a couple of blue shells in this game, but we want to see some more blue shells.
[00:03:22] So, this is, we're going to see, Mario can do two different kinds of jumps.
[00:03:26] There is a regular jump, and there is a spin jump, obviously, the regular jump is regular, and the spin jump is spinning.
[00:03:31] And we needed to use the right jump for the right situation,
[00:03:34] and there are certain things that are going to allow us to reset the type of jump being used.
[00:03:39] So, Spiny shells are dangerous.
[00:03:41] They must be spin jump spin, jumped on, and regular shells need to be regular jumped on.
[00:03:46] Or when spinning, you can get a boost off of them.
[00:03:50] There is that piece which over there that's going to turn the brown blocks into coins,
[00:03:53] coins into brown blocks.
[00:03:54] But it also gives us a chance to reset our jump type.
[00:03:57] Because as of right now, maybe that'll change later, but as of right now,
[00:04:01] We cannot reset the jump type unless we land on something.
[00:04:05] So there's that piece of which there,
[00:04:06] it's to make sure that we can reset the jump type
[00:04:08] and open up the wall.
[00:04:10] Again, there's on-off blocks making a path for the shell down below.
[00:04:13] Interesting, there's plus and minus tiles on the ground.
[00:04:16] Those are going to change the speed of the shell when it hits the minus.
[00:04:20] It slows down a little bit when it hits the plus.
[00:04:22] It's going to speed up a little bit and shove the needs to be able to anticipate
[00:04:26] that different motion.
[00:04:28] It's worth noting that some of these changes are not vanilla.
[00:04:32] Yeah, every gal.
[00:04:33] Okay, oh, we got a little bit more to go though.
[00:04:35] There's that nice spin drop.
[00:04:38] Very good.
[00:04:39] That is a really tight timer on that piece,
[00:04:42] which that looks like she'll have to just kind of graze through that,
[00:04:44] but she did, but it was way harder than you might think.
[00:04:47] We're gonna highlight that subtlety for you.
[00:04:49] It's done. Yoshi dropping a little bit more.
[00:04:52] Very good.
[00:04:52] Up and over.
[00:04:54] Where do you think Yoshi goes when he falls from the pit?
[00:04:59] He goes into that, he taught me that.
[00:05:02] Oh, the fun water slide?
[00:05:03] Yeah, I think so too.
[00:05:05] Yeah, you want to keep all this tech in mind too.
[00:05:08] We're going to see it again in the end.
[00:05:10] And there's this building, this, a fan you built on and on and on.
[00:05:13] Each little piece that we see in the levels all come through ahead later on.
[00:05:16] Yeah.
[00:05:17] So you've got this shell platform.
[00:05:19] It's a sort of a sparkly shell and it's going to lock Mario right on to the
[00:05:23] while Mario is riding the shell. It also gives us an additional greater speed than we normally would be able to get.
[00:05:29] So, sho up today is actually not pressing a direction on the D-pad or being neutral while in motion to get a little bit of extra distance when jumping off of that.
[00:05:38] You can see that you have that extra neutral speed by the fact that Mario is also kind of sparkly and pretty while riding on the shell.
[00:05:46] This might be a good time for maybe a donation or two if you have some.
[00:05:49] I've got so many right now. Oh my goodness, we have a $500 donation from a 17-tabris
[00:05:55] Had to donate during this run of one of the most absurd SMW alterations ever shown at GDPQ
[00:06:02] Good luck to Shabda, and here's hoping the snowflakes cooperate and also let's get some Mario Kart and y'all real quick
[00:06:08] We are 70% of the way to getting Mario Kart 64 on the schedule
[00:06:13] Let's keep this pace going y'all can you eat can you think Shabda to this incentive
[00:06:19] I want to see it happen. We also have a $10 donation from Gossip Greg. Much love to
[00:06:25] show up at the US and WKZO community. Y'all are great and I know that you're going to put on a great show.
[00:06:36] Okay, we're just setting up for the final. Very good. Nicely done. He made air beach jump.
[00:06:42] That was the first try on that. Very, very well done.
[00:06:46] I love this hype, this is crazy, everybody's such an exciting type of design in Super Mario
[00:06:55] World, so flashy and it's not going to stop anytime soon here in Springtime, Cabern,
[00:06:59] where we're going to use a little bit of a different item, this is, I know it's like,
[00:07:02] we'll take my word for it but no, look at what we're seeing, this is such a difficult
[00:07:06] level we've got.
[00:07:07] These springs, which are really not supposed to be used this way, they have a kind
[00:07:10] of a strange hip-hop, they're big and bulky and can be difficult to land on.
[00:07:14] You're going to see the green springs that are going to use two bounce Mario up in the air,
[00:07:18] as well as the red springs that are used to bounce Mario,
[00:07:21] sort of to the side and can also bounce items.
[00:07:24] So we're starting out with a really difficult maneuver to drop the green spring down,
[00:07:28] have it sent forward by that red spring down below,
[00:07:31] and then setting up that uptoss with the flashing grab block.
[00:07:35] So the Mario can get a spin,
[00:07:37] because Mario can spin jump on those grab blocks and only a spin jump.
[00:07:40] And now, we get to do a little special something,
[00:07:42] And so I was like, how's it going?
[00:07:45] We are going to let my friend B.K. play the next portion of the fan game.
[00:07:53] But as you can see on the screen, this is it's Urban Nick and Baby Shales.
[00:08:01] I do not die in Baby Shales.
[00:08:04] The creator, Noisoh, who is German, made this fan game for Joker's stream, who is also
[00:08:09] German and he said these words in German. And so, no, we so added this little section to kind of mess with
[00:08:18] Joker's 3M, okay. The funny thing is that if you die here in the original version of the game,
[00:08:25] then you go back to the hard part with the spring, which is to say, if you die in baby shells,
[00:08:29] you got to do all the really difficult stuff again. But for this, I was so afraid of being embarrassed
[00:08:37] by dying here, that I asked B.K.
[00:08:43] If he would play this section instead,
[00:08:46] for me, B.K. of course, until starting
[00:08:49] to practice for this, have not played a shell level
[00:08:52] since he told me, 2018.
[00:08:56] This is the sort of the equivalent of having, like,
[00:08:58] the regular person at the Olympics, you know?
[00:09:01] I'm feeling so regular right now.
[00:09:04] It's actually it's it's interesting that um BK has actually found some cheeses for this section
[00:09:11] which I think is actually very impressive. You're supposed to do a shell jump there like I don't do that
[00:09:14] shell jump. You're supposed to do a a back shot here on the back shot. I do this extremely scary looking
[00:09:21] uh long shell jump and stuff which you can tell is working swimming with.
[00:09:28] He's got this, he's got this.
[00:09:33] Eventually.
[00:09:34] Oh yeah.
[00:09:35] Okay, if I read a couple donations while we're at this, absolutely.
[00:09:38] All right, we have $100 from big love gaming.
[00:09:41] Like Mario Ari's always said, the four-cart race got to go fast and y'all, we have $25
[00:09:48] from Harris saying, let's go Mario, donating for that bonus game and y'all, we're making
[00:09:53] rate we're doing such good work here. We are almost at $48,000 raised.
[00:09:59] Got at the 64,000. We need to add Mario Kart to the schedule.
[00:10:03] Let's keep this going y'all. Let's add Mario Kart. As you can see, this is a very
[00:10:08] shell-intent-skame and what we all know Mario Kart 64 for is throwing shells around.
[00:10:13] So think of it like, what's your favorite shell?
[00:10:15] Which what is your favorite shell?
[00:10:19] Oh, it's one of the cheese.
[00:10:22] Ooh, you know?
[00:10:24] No, it's good, yeah.
[00:10:25] I like a little marinara in my mouth.
[00:10:27] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:10:28] Blue, what about you?
[00:10:30] Fitch shell?
[00:10:31] Yeah, I don't know.
[00:10:32] I think I have to say the blue shell, right?
[00:10:34] Yeah.
[00:10:35] Just a stay on brand.
[00:10:36] That's a pretty fly.
[00:10:39] It's a duck.
[00:10:40] Who doesn't want to fly?
[00:10:45] Could we give another donation again?
[00:10:50] Absolutely.
[00:10:52] Okay, please take no offense with these are more for subdued than for you.
[00:10:57] We have $180 from Magic or 72 saying,
[00:11:01] shove the shell. Okay.
[00:11:04] We also have $25 from court.
[00:11:08] The SMW community is such a kind and welcome home.
[00:11:11] Thank you to shop the for being one of so many women Kaiser players go in
[00:11:15] Skyrimi to always go for one more retry. Let's get Mario Kart 64
[00:11:27] Remember when I got all the way to the end and done yeah
[00:11:32] Like a really early on
[00:11:34] I appreciate your enthusiasm, though.
[00:11:41] Again, I appreciate it, play.
[00:11:49] You guys, I'm done.
[00:11:56] I'm done.
[00:11:57] I was done.
[00:11:58] I was done.
[00:12:05] Good job.
[00:12:08] Good job.
[00:12:10] Good job.
[00:12:11] If the New York Times was aware of this,
[00:12:14] they would commission a 5,000 word opinion column,
[00:12:17] We're discriminating against this people and it's be running with this gimmick.
[00:12:27] This is the red switch palace.
[00:12:30] We need to get these levels in order to get across the bridge.
[00:12:33] You've finished the game and you're going to see these gray colored shells here.
[00:12:37] They do not interact with each other.
[00:12:39] So normally if two shells are moving and they collide,
[00:12:42] they will break each other and fall off the screen and be destroyed.
[00:12:45] destroy. These shells don't do that and that allows for some different kind of tricks.
[00:12:51] There are a lot of different little under-the-hood customizations that were done.
[00:12:56] Noisos, very very, under the creator of this game. Noisos, it's very, very clever in how they use
[00:13:02] slight modifications to the base game in order to make things more conducive to very cool tricks.
[00:13:08] And so that's how you're seeing all these shells lining up without actually crashing into each other.
[00:13:12] And I actually got the first try-up height.
[00:13:18] Don't worry about that. It's just a little trick, Troy.
[00:13:21] And there's the bump, too.
[00:13:23] Nicely done. Let's go. That is a one-frame trick.
[00:13:28] No.
[00:13:31] No, about the yanks.
[00:13:34] There is one frame when you touch the top of the switch.
[00:13:38] There is the first frame, 60, but 60 FPS.
[00:13:40] There's one frame where you count as standing and in that one frame and that one frame only you can get the jump
[00:13:46] You get one try at that shove the making it look easy
[00:13:49] But now we get to see the rest of springtime cavern
[00:13:51] And we're gonna see a few more tricks being done with shells and springs in combination
[00:13:56] We're gonna this is actually a very very very tricky level in a small part to the fact that the springs just have a very strange hip-box
[00:14:02] And can be really difficult to work with because you kind of have to pre-empt the position a little bit
[00:14:07] shove the kind of dropping that early right you see they kind of drop it early in order to get
[00:14:11] get it under Mario's feet in time.
[00:14:16] A couple of indicators and things but it's not always don't always pay attention to the indicators
[00:14:21] but usually those green coins or arrows are showing where to drop or use an object.
[00:14:26] So I always like to say that the indicators don't necessarily in a level like this don't tell
[00:14:30] you what to do the first time. They remind you what to do the tenth time and these are certainly levels that can take hours.
[00:14:36] I mean, I mean, really, really hours to complete in some cases.
[00:14:39] This is probably the most difficult, what did we say?
[00:14:42] The most difficult level.
[00:14:43] It is.
[00:14:44] It takes, I watched, multiple people take between 20 and 40 hours on this level, on Thursday.
[00:14:52] Shoutouts to Germ Duff.
[00:14:55] Who is a very good play?
[00:14:56] Very good play.
[00:14:58] I think that, like, this has such a, like, really good nuanced motion, right?
[00:15:02] we saw with the drops you mentioned in the game in general too with all the neutral
[00:15:07] thing like a lot of things that you can't tell are happening that should do in
[00:15:11] just a title is in perfect. We make it work right.
[00:15:14] You have a lot of control over your balance not only from lending on the springs but from
[00:15:18] lending on enemies and shells and not only a shove the control in the horizontal position
[00:15:22] and just putting Mario where he needs to be but also controlling the balance by holding down
[00:15:26] the button more or less you are controlling the vertical that you get off of that and all of
[00:15:31] of these situations have a really small window for success.
[00:15:35] Yeah, let's see later, though, with that real come in play.
[00:15:38] Is it that run enough?
[00:15:40] Something that really seems to just someone who's watching this game
[00:15:43] is sort of my world, you can control the rate at what you fall.
[00:15:47] If you hold jump, you fall slower.
[00:15:49] If you don't hold jump, you hold faster.
[00:15:51] You fall faster.
[00:15:52] And there's a lot of required subtlety
[00:15:54] in fall speed throughout the game.
[00:15:56] So as if the salt doesn't look hard enough,
[00:16:00] like there's even more that you don't see
[00:16:02] that chance to do correctly to win.
[00:16:03] Now we really like to talk about Super Mario World,
[00:16:05] the physics engine.
[00:16:06] As kind of a musical instrument
[00:16:08] that there's just so much nuance that the level is the song
[00:16:11] and you are playing it in more ways than one.
[00:16:22] But we're coming up on, we got this.
[00:16:25] We need that red to kupo with those two
[00:16:27] And coming up on the end with this Yoshi trick.
[00:16:31] That is really, yeah, so Yoshi, you want to hold the Y button in mid-air to get extra speed.
[00:16:37] That's your run button and you're still using that in the air.
[00:16:40] As you're moving, you also need that button to stick out Yoshi's tongue and that little
[00:16:44] silver line at the bottom of the screen, we would call a one F0.
[00:16:48] That's its tile name in the code and that's going to slide Yoshi along because we need
[00:16:54] Yoshi to eat that spring.
[00:16:56] It's really tricky because you want to have enough momentum by holding the Y button, but then you're breaking that ever so slightly to stick Yoshi's tongue out at the right moment and eat the spring
[00:17:07] There we go
[00:17:11] All right, perfect
[00:17:16] The first try in there so that's one of several mid-airs that we might see and that's abusing the fact that when Mario holds a shell and turns from the left to the right
[00:17:25] while facing the camera, the hip-oxe of Mario and the shell overlap with each other,
[00:17:30] and that allows for you to basically throw the shell underneath your feet.
[00:17:33] And so now, this green liquid at the bottom might look delicious.
[00:17:37] I think green is the best color of drink. Donate to prove me wrong if you think otherwise,
[00:17:41] but we don't want to touch this drink because it is very dangerous, and it's moving up and down.
[00:17:46] It will kill Mario if contact is made. So, we're going to use the on-off switches to keep it at bay.
[00:17:53] The honest we're just gonna move it down. It wants to rise back up. It's gonna move down again
[00:17:56] And you're not also gonna see the numbers on the shell. Those are gonna come in to play a little bit later
[00:18:01] too, but what they mean is that the show will disappear after that number of hits has taken place
[00:18:07] So there's a two on this see how the show poofs after two hits and
[00:18:11] nicely done. That's a that's a kind of a chill one if you can imagine a chill level in this game
[00:18:16] You know, I'm going to tell you a quick, we have cost $50,000 towards the $64,000.
[00:18:23] We need, we have less than $14,000 to go to get Mario Kart 64.
[00:18:27] I'm just going, yeah, let's go, come on.
[00:18:29] Here we go.
[00:18:34] There are boots, this level is scary.
[00:18:37] Watch out, are you okay?
[00:18:39] All right, all right, all right, there's boots, there's scary, they're moving around,
[00:18:43] They're moving around the shell, they're moving in cool little clusters,
[00:18:46] they're moving around the shell that we're holding,
[00:18:48] and we were mentioning before how you can control that fall speed.
[00:18:51] That is really going to come into play in this level,
[00:18:53] because we want to make really accurate landings,
[00:18:55] and fit our movement with the cycle,
[00:18:57] not only of the shell's movement,
[00:18:59] but of the booze twirling around it.
[00:19:01] And yeah, I'm going to open the way with that yellow block,
[00:19:04] and we're going to do that one more time.
[00:19:05] But look at the really careful articulation
[00:19:06] and shove this always in the air when the boozer underneath.
[00:19:08] One shot, no problem.
[00:19:10] No problem at all.
[00:19:13] And now, we're going to even trick here.
[00:19:15] It's the big boo.
[00:19:16] And this is a cool boss fight that
[00:19:18] knew we saw the creator of this game
[00:19:20] has cooked up for us.
[00:19:21] There's a health bar in the upper right.
[00:19:22] You can see it depleting as we make hits.
[00:19:24] And we're going to go through a bunch of different phases.
[00:19:27] You see the infinity sign on that green shell.
[00:19:29] It is means infinity hits.
[00:19:31] And it's also locked underneath Mario's position.
[00:19:33] So as Mario moves, that shell is going to move along.
[00:19:36] Got those gray shells, again, not to interact with each other.
[00:19:39] And now we get the second phase.
[00:19:40] Or those are the final phase, excuse me.
[00:19:42] and we got to get three more hits to win it.
[00:19:45] So using that gray show to bounce up
[00:19:46] and grab those purple grab blocks
[00:19:48] and we want to make sure we preserve the gray show
[00:19:51] until the very end.
[00:19:53] Oh my gosh, this is my sweet prowess.
[00:19:56] This is the sweet prowess.
[00:19:58] Where is it?
[00:20:00] What is that?
[00:20:00] That is a really, that was really,
[00:20:05] really good for that level.
[00:20:06] And since that fight resets from the beginning
[00:20:08] every time that's a really, really excellent time
[00:20:10] saved to get that in one shot.
[00:20:12] I was really good at that just like my own eye.
[00:20:16] Alright, this is maybe an accurate description
[00:20:18] of some people's trip to Pittsburgh.
[00:20:20] It's the cold level.
[00:20:21] There's ice and snow everywhere, and you're going to see
[00:20:23] these snowflake tiles, which freeze any sprite
[00:20:26] that touches them.
[00:20:27] So Mario freezes and gives a little pose for the camera.
[00:20:30] The shell will freeze momentarily when touching them.
[00:20:32] And we're going to use all of that to get through.
[00:20:34] But first, we're going to go in here and heat it up
[00:20:36] a little bit with this fire flower.
[00:20:38] That's going to be used to shoot those big white ice blocks
[00:20:41] out of the way. And again, we're using holding Y to get speed, but also pressing Y to
[00:20:46] shoot a fireball. And that is really tricky and just requires a really conscientious use
[00:20:52] of momentum. Really have to make these jumps very accurately because you're letting go of the
[00:20:56] button that gives you momentum to take shots so that puts a lot of pressure on the individual
[00:21:01] articulation for each jump. But that no problem here. Maybe I'll be here at Donation
[00:21:05] We're eating up. We are less than $13,000 away from Mario Kart. Let's go. Go. I also, I do
[00:21:13] have some love for DK here. We have $25 from Nut's 10, but oh, hey DK, great job on baby
[00:21:19] shells. I got another sticker for you as a prize. A good luck to shut down on the adult shells.
[00:21:25] Listen to me.
[00:21:26] We also have $25 from Chogio, a re-grab is when you steal the controller back to DK after
[00:21:37] he misses the shell, Chogio.
[00:21:40] Yes.
[00:21:42] Yeah, it's time for a couple more.
[00:21:44] Nope.
[00:21:45] Thank you very much, it's a little trick at the end, they're needing to shoot two fireballs
[00:21:55] So you can think it might be one, but all that turns out you need to, it's a kind of a classic.
[00:21:59] Super Mario World trick.
[00:22:00] And we're going to get into the next level.
[00:22:02] Now, we've learned about before we've learned about the defining shows or dangerous.
[00:22:05] This show down below is changing between regular and spiny every time we bounce on it.
[00:22:09] Additionally, we're able to change our jump type in mid-air.
[00:22:12] This is a special thing called motor skills.
[00:22:14] Of course, if you play a lot of S&W Kaiser, you'll know that that comes from morsel.
[00:22:18] The very classic trope morsel invented it, but now we need to use that in order to stay alive.
[00:22:23] stay alive and so easy with it was the easiest game I've ever seen you know I'm
[00:22:28] just kidding it's absolutely good to call.
[00:22:30] No, no, no, no!
[00:22:32] Two, two, five, two, one, frame, shits.
[00:22:37] Love it.
[00:22:40] How?
[00:22:41] How?
[00:22:42] You know, it was really cool.
[00:22:48] We are less than $5,000 away from $700,000 raised for that cancer foundation and we are less than $12,000 away from Mario Kart 64 everybody.
[00:22:59] Let's keep this going.
[00:23:00] Let's keep this going.
[00:23:01] Shop does not make anything easy on you.
[00:23:04] You've got to be into this.
[00:23:06] So we're using these snowflakes again.
[00:23:09] There's temporarily freezing the sprites that touch them.
[00:23:12] So again, Mario's going to freeze.
[00:23:13] The shells are going to freeze and we need to use those on-off blocks.
[00:23:16] So open the way, we're going to kick the cube around.
[00:23:19] And yeah, yeah.
[00:23:20] And that's it, actually.
[00:23:22] Yeah, I think this is one of the things I really
[00:23:24] love about this level.
[00:23:25] And we've seen it a few other times, is that we see something
[00:23:28] that switches between being helpful, being harmful for the player.
[00:23:31] So here, we're using the pieces are really good for us.
[00:23:35] But then we'll see this bottle a little bit later,
[00:23:37] we're freezing as bad, and we don't want to do it.
[00:23:39] Yeah, that is really.
[00:23:40] It's excellent at level design, kind of just thinking
[00:23:42] about, like to think of it like a Swiss army knife
[00:23:44] of level design.
[00:23:45] It works one way or worse the other way.
[00:23:46] And here, like Blue said, we're going to ensue this section.
[00:23:48] We do not want to touch these because if we do Mario will freeze,
[00:23:51] but the shell, of course, will skate away and we'll never see it again.
[00:23:54] Yeah!
[00:24:01] Love in this energy, you are doing great.
[00:24:06] So, a little bit of a photo sensitivity warning coming up
[00:24:09] for this level in particular is going to be a little bit of flashing gear in storm booster.
[00:24:14] And we're going to see these blue blocks with arrows on them that indicates the direction
[00:24:18] that Mario is going to be flung forward when he touches one of these tiles.
[00:24:22] And this is another one of these examples of, I guess if you call it like just slope speed,
[00:24:26] which is like Mario slides down a slope and we kind of refer to that extra speed, it's faster
[00:24:30] than you normally go.
[00:24:31] And counterintuitively to preserve that slope speed, you need to not press any buttons.
[00:24:36] So by holding forward, you're going to slow yourself down, but by being neutral or not pressing
[00:24:41] anything on the D-pad. Do you maintain that rate of speed? Oh, to throw the shell under your feet at the end for the mid air
[00:24:46] And that's your level that's hard because you don't want to press buttons at the right time
[00:24:52] Let's go and follow the absolute joy that level. Yeah, photos sensitivity warning is over now
[00:24:57] That was just very brief. It's want to make sure our friends are taking care of
[00:25:02] This is a good level scary level. Yeah, watch that we we refer the level that's coming up
[00:25:11] As the fairer level, and we call it that because at SGDQ-2023, Shabby was struggling through
[00:25:25] first play of this game, Blurb and Library there, and we remember when not even having
[00:25:32] being the game for the first time, she said, not only am I going to beat this, I'm going
[00:25:36] speedrun it, and I'm going to get it into SGDQ. And we refer to this as
[00:25:41] Shuk the going ferro. So this is the ferro level. So much magic in the G&T
[00:25:48] practice room. It's a really special place. We're going to use these shells
[00:25:52] in combination with the ropes. Some of them are on lines and they will move. But
[00:25:57] some of them are not on lines and they will fall. The saw again following that
[00:26:00] line track and just going to open up the way. Do that little piece of
[00:26:04] which jump again. And that's actually a little bit of a troll from Noiso. That
[00:26:15] soft falls right at the end. If we weren't to just continue running forward, it's
[00:26:18] going to fall right in our heads, but not here. She's really, really good at this.
[00:26:22] Hey, you should have done real quick. How many levels are left? One level. We are just
[00:26:27] over $10,000 away from Mario Kart 64. And this is the last level. Let's go everybody.
[00:26:34] So we're seeing a little bit of a wrap-up of stuff we've used before.
[00:26:40] You got the, again, you got the motor shell that switches when you jump on it.
[00:26:43] The motor skills to switch your jump type in the air.
[00:26:45] We've got that flashing shell platform along with these thorns that are moving sideways.
[00:26:50] And the level is just kind of a wrap-up of what we've seen before.
[00:26:53] We are about to find out, you know, there's just killed a cuckoo larvae percent.
[00:26:56] What is that exactly?
[00:26:57] Well, we're about to find out once we get into the end.
[00:27:00] We're going to have to do a really excellent custom boss fight.
[00:27:04] a lot of Super Mario World models kind of pride themselves on making.
[00:27:07] Really cool and interesting bosses,
[00:27:08] but I haven't gotten a little bit of a head of ourselves now.
[00:27:10] We have some more donations while we're getting our...
[00:27:12] We have so many, we have this $10 donation from Carrarium.
[00:27:17] All right, stuff that I am so happy to see you destroy these silly
[00:27:22] shell levels on the TDP Humane State.
[00:27:24] You are a light in so many people's lives and a constant pursuit
[00:27:28] in giving people a safe place to hang out and chat,
[00:27:31] Listen and learn is commendable.
[00:27:34] There is absolutely no one else like you.
[00:27:37] Best of luck and trans rights.
[00:27:40] Yeah.
[00:27:41] Yeah.
[00:27:42] Yeah.
[00:27:43] Yeah.
[00:27:44] Yeah.
[00:27:45] Yeah.
[00:27:46] Yeah.
[00:27:47] Yeah.
[00:27:48] Yeah.
[00:27:49] Yeah.
[00:27:50] Yeah.
[00:27:51] Yeah.
[00:27:52] Yeah.
[00:27:53] Yeah.
[00:27:54] Yeah.
[00:27:55] Yeah.
[00:27:56] Yeah.
[00:27:57] Yeah.
[00:27:58] That's where the champions' rights.
[00:28:00] I'm going on S. There we go, up in in there.
[00:28:04] There's the H, but we don't have to do touch it because we're going to get an automatic
[00:28:07] checkpoint in the next room. And this is the Koopalarva. There they are up in their little
[00:28:13] frowny face cloud attacking us with different attacks that help our obviously in the upper
[00:28:17] right. And we're going to have to dodge a series of different effects.
[00:28:20] Draw up that gray shell in order to get a spain. And that's how we're going to get up there
[00:28:23] and bonking on the head. A lot of these positions can be a little bit random, but shot the
[00:28:27] knows exactly how to deal with just about any situation and every situation is
[00:28:31] winnable. So these like different spice kind of falling you don't know where
[00:28:34] it's gonna be and when it smashes down like that it is trying to target you.
[00:28:38] But easy money into phase two and I'll get that got that infinite shell and
[00:28:42] some fire being dropped. These slumps are also kind of a little bit randomized.
[00:28:46] You don't know exactly what it's gonna be but easy bounces to just get up. I mean I
[00:28:50] think easy like oh like I was very easy like I should have just making it
[00:28:53] It's a very easy because she is exceptionally talented, right?
[00:28:56] Less than $9,000 to go to Mario Kart.
[00:28:58] We go to more hits.
[00:29:02] Oh, okay, okay.
[00:29:03] We get to see some more.
[00:29:04] Maybe, you know, maybe a little fast.
[00:29:06] We didn't get to do that little fun hammer attack.
[00:29:08] And we got to give the boss a chance.
[00:29:10] Maybe they'd maybe the frowny cloud is because she often just wings too quickly.
[00:29:13] They want a little bit of time on the stage, too.
[00:29:16] They hang out with us.
[00:29:20] A little bit of a convenience there against you.
[00:29:21] They're going to use those gray shells that it throws out.
[00:29:24] It will not destroy the shell you were riding on, right?
[00:29:26] So you can just bounce right over and pick it up that way.
[00:29:29] And you always want to aim for the middle of that fire that gets dropped,
[00:29:32] because that's the first place that's going to be safe, right?
[00:29:35] You see kind of shoved, oh, okay, or the stuff?
[00:29:36] I'm like, I'm here just like it.
[00:29:38] But yeah, normally if you look at kind of spreads down from the middle of the way,
[00:29:41] but at that brand new skip again, attacking right in the middle of the attack time.
[00:29:45] That's a whole new couple of weeks old, great to see you on this day of care.
[00:29:49] y'all we are $1,000 away from $700,000 raised
[00:29:52] and we are just about $8,200 away from Mario Kart.
[00:29:56] If you've got a chance, let me have it
[00:29:58] because there is so much love coming in for Sheldon right now.
[00:30:00] And time.
[00:30:01] Time.
[00:30:02] Time.
[00:30:04] Or you can just do that instead.
[00:30:09] Get a thing.
[00:30:10] Have a good time.
[00:30:12] Please.
[00:30:13] Sheldon.
[00:30:14] I just want to run through the credits real quick, because I did that after I did
[00:30:23] it run.
[00:30:28] It's so good.
[00:30:32] Thank you.
[00:30:33] It's so good.
[00:30:34] Wow.
[00:30:35] All right.
[00:30:36] So that was it run.
[00:30:41] I think we're going to move over to some shredder.
[00:30:43] I don't know if we're going to move in right to that.
[00:30:49] Yeah?
[00:30:50] Okay.
[00:30:51] Okay.
[00:30:52] That's it.
[00:30:53] Wow.
[00:30:54] Wow.
[00:30:55] Shut up.
[00:30:56] I do want to share.
[00:30:57] We have a $25 donation from Zandra.
[00:31:00] I shoved hope you've been well watching you play this game as poetry and motion.
[00:31:04] I can't believe we're being treated two speed friends in one.
[00:31:06] You've racing to the credits and you're couch trying to explain a level before you
[00:31:09] repeat that.
[00:31:10] This will look y'all less than three and we have crossed seven hundred thousand dollars
[00:31:14] raised for the previous year for the time being.
[00:31:23] So next up here I'm going to let Bletch explain everything because just what he made
[00:31:29] this, sorry, so if I'm trying to though, I will count down from three and we will
[00:31:36] being time three to one go.
[00:31:39] Oh.
[00:31:41] So this is a really special thing.
[00:31:44] This is, I made this.
[00:31:46] And if I had known that eventually,
[00:31:48] Shubgar would be playing it on the GDP stage
[00:31:50] and this level of the as popular as it was.
[00:31:52] I would have maybe spent more time on this.
[00:31:54] But I made this in an evening while I was watching
[00:31:57] a documentary, Free Solar from Alexander,
[00:31:59] and then he climbs up El Cap.
[00:32:01] And so I made this kind of like the scent
[00:32:03] that he did in the movie.
[00:32:04] We're maybe going to watch out this with you so cool, but that...
[00:32:34] you
[00:33:04] you
[00:33:34] You
