When I watch teams, basically every America's teams play, there are a lot of things that
I feel like EG do on their attack side, aka the inserts that they do, the fakes that they
try to run.
I emphasize try because the way the players take their timings is really bad.
But the way that they play the map out on a tack side, just a tack side, is extremely
high level.
They take map control.
They insert a player.
Sometimes they insert nobody, but usually they condition inserting a player.
They go back, re-clear areas, break Sentinel Util, make it essentially impossible for the
opponent to know where they are going before they actually hit the site. And most often,
more often than not, comms teams end up in the correct bomb site. They hit the site that
had the least people. Okay? But then they just have so many other issues. As far as
timings go, their post plants, double peaking, all these little things. And they lose rounds
because of it. Wiffing shots, whatever.
They're very good at baiting utility.
They're very good at creating space or taking space on the map
while doing it with the least amount of risk to their players.
They are very good at manipulating rotations.
They just are.
The only issue is they can't close the rounds.
Like, it's like they don't even believe they made the perfect call and they take forever to plant the bomb.
They hesitate on actually taking the site they were gonna take and then like,
get stuck in between and get retaken on before they even get the bomb down.
These weird things start happening.
It's not a script. I'm deadass. I truly believe that.
I genuinely truly believe that. There's a lot of top teams. MIBR is one of them.
Sometimes NRG. I don't see that kind of all of that happening at the same rate that EG does it

for that from MIBR was the fact that they weren't as aggressive on their defensive side like we've
seen them do previously taking a lot of mid control pushing down elbow just being really annoying
it feels like we didn't see that at all from them it felt like they're playing a little bit more
of a passive game a lot of retakes on the line too they wanted to do those retakes just played
back let Medina just kind of fall back into sight and wait for everyone to retake so
it's definitely interesting to see how both these teams have switched it up. We have C9 who's gone
double duelist, super aggressive, fixing their cons and their issues. Then you have MIBR who's
just hoping that C9 didn't fix those things in a sense. But on MIBR's defense, so the retake
approach initially seemed to work out fine for them. Yeah, it was a bad idea or approach. Yeah,
it was working out initially, but yeah, ultimately, it isn't a game style that's going
to result in setting up your star to go crazy, like how C9's approach with Oxy was. But heading
into this next map, I'm interested to see if C9 are going to switch anything up or if they're just
going to continue the approach that they had in the prior week where they did get a close win over
Envy. It was 13-11, but I would not be mad at them coming out trying something new here as
as well. What would you like to see? Do you want to see more double duels? Genuinely, yes. I think again,
when I think about Penny's best agents on the duelist, it's the traditional ones. It's the
secondary duelist roles. Yeah, and you can play raise on split. You can play phoenix on split that
was working for leviton as well. So with the additional time that Amy had to cook up with
this team in the last week, I would not be mad at seeing a switch up. If they lose that,
take it off the VR. There'll be up against. I don't want to be blamed for the entire loss.

What was yours? I'm stuck. I'm conflicted between 2022 and 2023. Probably 2022 just because
we had no team conflicts really that weren't solved. 2023 ended kind of shitty. If 2023
ended even remotely well, I think I might have said 2023. I think that was my favorite
time for sure. I think no bias for me 2023 was the best year overall because there were
were so many teams that showed such high level Valorant.
Whereas 2022, loud optic, sometimes a little bit of FPX
and then there was like a couple other teams.
I felt like there was just more variety in 2023.
Yeah, DRX, but they always fell short.
I guess, yeah, DRX is one of the four or five teams there.
But it just felt like 2023 just had more.
I guess, I don't know, it felt more storyline driven
with more teams in the storylines.
