I remember when we used to play Carmageddon, when did that game come out?
In 1997, they claimed it's bad to teach people or show people that you get points
for killing grannies or parents with strollers when they're on the road, like racing
over them and then getting points for it is immoral. Well duh, don't do it for real.
Alright, I did it in games but I never even did it in real life.
As well as the ability for kids to have direct communication with strangers. Well luckily

one and two, they were also said to be negative for kids. They sent like a questionnaire
to the developers of Elder Scrolls to, was it Bethesda back then? It was always Bethesda,
right? Yeah, I think so. But anyway, they sent a questionnaire that they had to add in for the
ESRB rating. And it was things like, can you kill an innocent person in this game?
Yes, is there nudity? Yes. And back then games were very afraid of getting a high
ESRB ratings slapped on them because they were afraid it would hurt sales, but that's before some
18 plus games got really good sales, including for kids.
Yeah, but there's a difference between GTA and Elder Scrolls and psychological dark patterns
like found in Battle Pass or gambling games. I think psychological dark patterns are worse
than getting innocence in games. Because it's a game. You're roleplaying a culprit.
Now, I watched a couple of those murder shows where they cover real crime. And it is true
that the most sadistic psychopathic killers often have a lifelong interest in horror
films and other true crime. But it doesn't mean that everyone that has watched true
crime or watch horror films is a psychopathic killer in the making.
