In Psalms 31, 14, but I am trusting you, O Lord,
saying, you are my God.
So as we walk through so many different things in life,
as we experience the highs and the lows,
the good, the bad, the success and the failures, the joy and the sorrow.
It is important that we are trusting in the Lord and that we are declaring that He is
our God.
It's like, I can't do it alone.
I can't do it by myself.
I don't want to do it by myself.
I'm going to put my trust in you, not trust in my own self, not trust in my surroundings,
not trust in a person, whether that's a parent or a spouse.
Although it is important to trust those people, but they are not God.
They are not your God.
And if you feel like, maybe you've crossed that line where it's like,
I've really been treating this person like my God, like they are my soul provider
and source of joy and whatnot.
We have to be careful of doing that.
And that's a way, as long as we can adjust and change it and work on refocusing,
recognizing who Christ is, it says, my future is in your hand.
So if you feel like you're going through something where your faith is wavering,
your trust is wavering.
You feel like, wow, I really don't see an end to this.
This verse is so powerful. It just repeat in your mind and pray over your day that I am trusting you
You are my God. My future is in your hand. Not in my own hand. I don't want
to be driving this bus Lord you. Rescue me from those who let me down relentlessly. You have
something that you feel like is hunting you down relentlessly, whether that anger, that's
like hunting for you. It's like around every corner you just you're lashing out, you're crashing
out, you can't seem to find peace in your heart, trust in the Lord. He will rescue you from
that. He can free you from that and your future is in his hand. And as long as you are
trusting in the Lord, putting your faith in hand, he will make a way when there seems to
be none. In the fear, even in the fear, this is the beauty if you know Job's story in the Bible.
It shows of like anguish and pain and sorrow, everything stripped from him.
Even in all of that, he was trusting in God, and you can read even his prayers in the way
he talked to God.
It wasn't like, oh, oh, Kumbaya Lord, like I'm trusting you, it was, he was scared.
You can read that and see he was scared, and he was, I mean, I obviously don't know
what he was feeling so I can't truly speak for that.
But I would imagine like he was angry and upset.
He was furious, he was confused,
but what he never did was turn his back on God.
He shared those emotions with him.
So it's important that we do the same.
If we're angry, be angry at and with God,
he will receive that.
He can handle our human emotions.
Don't turn away from him and give your anger
to other people, give it to the Lord.
Give it to him.
your anger, your sorrow, your bitterness, your fear, your anxiety, give it to him, your confusion.
He's got you trust in him. Your future is in his hand.
