Including, Antiversius, Graven, Hassan, Piker.
M is real high, M is real high, M is real high.
I condemn Hassan, Piker.
I disregard Hassan, Piker.
He is vandalizing, M is vandalizing.
What's going on, everybody?
I hope everyone's having a fantastic evening after their screening, no matter where you
are in the world.
I'm like, I'm disavows on biker, 2,000, I'm like, I'm just coming to you live from, coming to you live from, New York, New York, that was, I condemn Sompiker by rabbit fusion, louder mix.
This one was mixed up better, so it's a little bit louder.
But yes, we're live, we're alive.
I'm in mom to understand my new home, my humble abode.
And this is the part of the broadcast where I tell you about my personal news and I wish
I could tell you that the personal news is crazy, but you already know actually, I was
about to say I've been a shut ass loser, but that's not true.
I went to Washington Post party last night.
I have yet to meet Abbasar Akshi. He wasn't out. He was not out and about.
I've been looking for him. I've been looking for him, hoping, you know,
I'm going to be purchasing Kuba day from an Iranian shop.
And then he's going to be getting Kuba day as well.
And then we're going to go for the same Kuba day and we're going to touch it at
the same time.
And we're going to look up at one another and our eyes are going to lock on.
And then he's going to be like, Oh my God,
You are Hassan Piker. I'm the foreign minister of Iran. Sayyadah Basarakshi.
And it's so crazy that this is how we encountered one another, you know, total meet cute situation.
Because, you know, I've been meaning to do an interview with you, like an exclusive interview
with you. You know, that's, that's let's do a sit down exclusive interview. And, and, you know,
that's, that's my dream. That's my dream. It's like a how I met your mother style situation.
But, but that didn't happen. I was at the Washington Post party that was being thrown.
And it was a social function, social event. I got invited by some friends. And here's the thing.
You know, a lot of people in the media may report on me as though I am a dangerous terrorist,
but let me tell you, in person these guys were very excited to meet me. I also met a lot of people
who said, you know, keep up the good work. You're really pushing the envelope. We appreciate it.
So, no disavowals, no disavowals, no distancing, none of that. Nailed all my social interactions.
So, yeah, also hung out with hung out with Maya Higa.
When are you getting in New York?
I'm calling out of work for a chance to see you as on.
What do you mean?
I'm in New York right now.
This is I'm in I've been in New York this entire week.
You're probably not going to be a chance to.
to yeah I invited my he get to the Washington Post party but it but that
time by that point it was like fizzling out hung out with her a little bit

had two drinks and I was you know I was not feeling great this morning when I
woke up that's why I'm late I wish I had something else to tell you that I did
that was cool but I didn't I didn't do anything cool at all as a matter of fact
I slept I slept the most part for the most part of being 35 and consuming any
alcohol after destroying your tolerance for it by not drinking it at all for
for years and years and you become a, what's the term?
He totaler.
But had a, yeah, lightweight.
Had a great night overall.
Did you get some, did you get to cut some cheese while you were there? Cut some cheese.
What the fuck is this?
The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire is back at it again.
That's unsurprising coming from these guys if you're familiar with their output.
In any case, in any case.
A gray suit for that yellow shirt will be fire. Perhaps. I like wearing it with
this blue though. FYI this is just one guy. Okay, cool. Weeks wants you guys to move to
New York. What is this? No offense to streamers. Maybe I shouldn't say this. Dude, I'm sorry,
You literally have the best job where you can do anything anywhere because all you need
is a computer and they all decide to live in the shittiest fucking place.
One of the worst urban sprawls.
Because why?
I can't even think of a single reason.
I don't understand.
Is he talking about Los Angeles or Austin because he could be talking about both.
What's on your wrist when you go to the party?

But in any case, yeah, I slept in, I went to sleep at like three.
And then I slept in until basically, I was in bed basically until I went live.
I showered, got ready, and because I didn't even leave my room, my bed's not made, you
know what I mean?
I'm struggling. I'm on the struggle bus.
And we are not thanking the bus driver.
Squeaks is right. New York City has better vibes.
I just, my roots are in Los Angeles at this point.
So it's tough. It's tough for me to
just uproot and go somewhere else. Anyway,
Having said that folks, that's pretty much it on the personal news front. We're going to be talking about diesel ban.
Iran at Anga, Trump sheet tomorrow, lesbian, bar drama situation monitor costs are up.
GOP popularity is abysmal.
Get in now, fish.tv slash Hassanavi.

Okay, it went away for a second, so hopefully it'll be gone again.
sure exactly what's going on. It'll be an unlimited IRL-related direct denial of service attack.
If it persists, we'll see. As soon as I hit the BRB screen, it went away.
But we've informed the people.
Hopefully. It wasn't an internet-related problem on my end, though.
That was crazy. We got some we got some rats chewing on the wires, you know, that type of situation.
Anyway.
Lawfare Project Target Student Campus Anti-Semitism.
as student clubs host is on piker. Yeah. Yeah, I should have started off by, I should have started off the day. Does anyone have a blast off me? We didn't even get to the blast off.
Post the TikTok about it to Mum Donnie who will get a fixed ASAP.

Not sleep as well in the hotel.
I never sleep as well in the hotel as I do in my own bed, for sure.
But having said that, this is more so a consequence of being two thirty-five years old and being
out till 3am sleeping in but not getting the sufficient sleep regardless like that's what
this is.
Anyway, are you excited about your speech at Cornell tomorrow?
Yes, I am.
I am excited about my speech at Cornell tomorrow.
on pregnant Mario. Love it.
The Sompiker praises Tennessee Valley Authority,
Chattanooga Internet as a successful state project.
Popular left-wing streamer and commentator cited the Tennessee
Valley Authority and EPP's broadband internet in Chattanooga
as successful government development projects to USU
replicate in other areas.
Let's go.
We got positive press.
We got positive press in the news that's a that's I haven't experienced that in years.
You know what I mean?
I haven't seen that in a minute.
Um, I can't get past the paywall.
As long as we be walking around Cornelville for your speech tomorrow, probably not.
Um, okay.
Yeah, maybe I should be tuning. Maybe I should be moving to Tennessee.
Maybe I should be moving to Chattanooga, honestly.
Um, the anti-Hasanabi hysteria continues, thecollegefix.com reported on my appearance
at Cornell saying it's basically the Holocaust.
And I wish I was kidding, but that's quite literally what one of the prominent, I guess,
leaders on campus actually said to prominent Jewish and pro-Israel student groups at Cornell
University of condemned the invitation of leftist provocateur Hassan Piker arguing the upcoming
speech is meant to serve as a provocation not an attempt at exploring exploration in
civil discourse. Piker, a far left commentator who wants that Americans deserve 9-11 is scheduled
to speak at the Ivy League institution on Thursday at the behest of students not bombs.
A coalition of the groups Jewish voice for peace students for justice in Palestine and young democratic socialists of America. My beloved.
I love my idea. Why do you say peeps.
I think I like why do you say more than I like DSA. Okay.
I'm not afraid to admit this. I will say it. They are the red guard. Okay. Why do you say are awesome? They're amazing. Why do you say my beloved the essay needs to do more attempts with youth groups in general, and I'm glad that why do you say is doing their best.
Here is a Cornell law professor, who said if you ever wondered what it was like in Germany
in the 1930s come to Cornell on September 24th, the Sompiker will be holding an event
and the Kaffia crowd is working themselves into a frenzy with excitement.
I mean, genuinely a hysterical thing to say, right?
Not on behalf of anyone else, says William A. Jacobson.
He is a clinical law professor at Cornell Law School.
And he sincerely thinks my presence is an anti-Zionist as a socialist anti-imperialist
on college campus is the same as the Nazis in the 1930s.
I'm advocating for the Nuremberg race laws or something.
I personally think if you are a well-educated
law professor at a reputable institution,
you probably should feel a sense of shame
before saying such insane things, given that it probably reflects poorly on the Institute
of Higher Learning that you are associated with.
Because like, if I'm a law student at Cornell, and I see my clinical law professor say something
so hysterical, I'm not going to be able to look at them the same ever again.
I'm going to be like, you're a fucking hysterical guy.
How can I listen to your lectures on clinical law if I know how insane you are in other avenues?
deranged, hysterical, unhinged, complete historical revisionism.
This guy got his JD from Harvard Law
and was a senior editor of the Harvard International Law Journal.
And then has spent most of his time lobbying against unsurprisingly the boycott divestment and sanctions movement.
Would you be surprised to find out that he is incredibly conservative?
Would that be a shock to you?
Is that shocking to you?
The hysterical pro-Israel guy
is also a conservative.
Anyway,
While Cornelians for Israel and Cornell-Helaels stop short of calling for Piker to be disinvited, their statements condemned his invitation as purposely malicious.
Mr. Piker's appearance will take place just days after Yom Kippur, the holiest days of the year.
centered on reflection and
Yeshua repentance in that spirit we call on the student groups bringing Mr.
Piger dog
you're supposed to engage in reflection
and repentance okay
like has that thought entered your mind at all
maybe some reflection on
you know your
advocacy for Israel, a country that shamelessly presents itself as being the representative
of this 2000 year old religion with rich tradition and history, and now is causing tremendous
harm to the way people understand Judaism because of this false conflation? No. Using
Yom Kippur to tell other people to reflect and repent is so funny. Yeah. Anyway, this
is incitement, not exploration or debate. The group added that sounds like chat if you
by the way. Cornelians for Israel in their statement pointed out that Piker once suggested
that U.S. Senator Rick Scott should be assassinated as denied in dismissal of actual violence
October 7th. Homo-Terra attacks. Joked about campus date rape and argues America is bad
as the terrorist organization has the law. America is as bad as the terrorist organization
has the law. That's a new one.
According to the Cornell Daily Sun newspaper, it takes for the free event sold out just
hours after being released, the venue has a capacity of around 600 people.
Cornell law professor William Jacobson posted on X if you've ever wondered
what it was like in Germany in the 1930s.
Come to Cornell on September 24th, the Sompire will be holding an event.
That's really funny.
I'm imagining in my mind, someone who's like really excited at the prospect of
that, someone who's like, yay,
Someone who's like a genuine Nazi who hears this and is like, oh, that's exactly my speed and then they attend the event
They're like, wait a minute. These guys hate Nazis
I'm imagining in my mind a guy like that who's like, hold on. I came here for the pro Nazi rally. You guys are expressly anti
What the hell's going on in a statement regarding the controversy Jewish voice for peace at Cornell said it recognizes
Not frequently used provocative language and that many people strongly disagree with or be offended by things he said
Okay, Jewish voice for peace
Is backbone time guys
You know you don't even need to say that okay
However, we do not believe a pikers hostile towards Jews anti-Semitism is prejudice against the hatred of Jewish people criticism of Israel's
Islam and U.S. support for Israel should not be treated as evidence as prejudice against
Jews. Come on guys, just say he's fought diligently and aggressively against anti-Semitism.
You know what I mean? Which is the truth, right?
In any case, in any case, yes, I refuse to condemn a Sompiker.
I do.
This is true.
I refuse to condemn a Sompiker.
But yeah, the initiatives are getting more aggressive by the day.
Here is an institution tasked with stopping me from going to college.
So now we see those same people ready to come out.
I'm Michelle Adout, I'm a director of programming and strategy here at NJU Hatred.
When we have organizations like a democratic club, political club at the University of Texas
bringing in Hassan Piker, that democratic party has to respond as a private party whether
or not it is platforming that speech, why it is choosing to bring Hassan Piker to a campus.
My name is Gerard Felitti, I am an attorney and senior counsel at the Lawfare Project.
This isn't about silencing speaking, that is some-
Dude, my vibe's overall, like what I've garnered, what I've gathered, what I've figured out,
is that there is a real, there is a real significant amount of, like, relatively powerful people
You are utterly hysterical about my presence in public discourse, about my presence on
college campuses, like they have whipped themselves up into a real panic, a real frenzy.
Like they kept, I guess they kept just repeatedly telling themselves that I'm an ever-present
danger and maybe at first they didn't believe it or maybe they believe it for different reasons
but regardless now, now they believe it. Like now it is a sincere belief, okay?
It might not have been a sincere belief initially but there are a lot of very powerful people,
billionaires, very powerful Zionists, like people that work in, you know, high-powered legal firms,
staffers in the hill, not even staffers, but like actual people with proximity to political power
and people with political power who genuinely, genuinely look to my presence as an ever-present
danger. Now, what's crazy about this is, you know, I don't have a pack. I'm not a politician,
I'm not a political consultant. I'm just a fucking guy, right? I'm just a guy like you guys are.
I'm an American taxpayer, I'm an American citizen, I'm an American voter.
where I have, I'm a, you know, I guess I'm a public figure, but it is genuinely, it is
genuinely remarkable how insane and how self-induced this hysteria is.
Kind of curious about how you yourself interpret your inflammatory language.
It's something brought up a lot, but honestly, I don't think you're any more inflammatory
than well, many Republican counterparts. Yeah. Oh, by the way, CFI, face backlash.
The coordinates for Israel. Face backlash last spring. Would it invited former Israel defense
soldier Sam Freed to speak on campus? Like the difference between me and that guy is,
I haven't killed any children or was ever an active participant in an organization
in a unit in an institution that killed a shit ton of children, right?
But when they invited this guy, if Cornell is in February invited interview with the son,
on why do you say co-chair, Zo Reisman,
29, criticized Cornell for allowing freedom on campus.
If Cornell is actually committed to pluralism
and attends the Refuse to Legitimize Military Propaganda
amid documented repression of Palestinian students
and political expression on campus.
Ezra Galperin, a Cornellians for Israel member
and son of Indian columnist told the son,
the difference between Fried and Piker's invitation
is that Piker calls for civilian violence.
Fried participated in an operation
that was not targeted at civilians
unlike Assam Piker, who endorsed 9-11 an operation
was targeted exclusively as civilians. So Sampiker loves death dog. That is insane to me. And yet
that attitude persists amongst many people. Okay, this is legitimately like this guy is
sincerely telling me that a guy who is basically participated in a military campaign, military
operation that is branded as a genocide by virtually every organization on the planet,
right, that has conducted many numerous 9-11s upon the Palestinians, is actually like the
trigger man, the guy holding the trigger is actually a perfectly normal figure in society
versus a person who appores this genocide, a person who condemns this genocide.
It almost always comes back to enmity surrounding the issue of Israel and how much Israel has
lost favor in polite society.
Gallupern stated that despite the organization's disapproval, CFI has no intention to disrupt
event itself. If our members do attend the event, they are not going to disrupt the event because
only at SAP we do not disrupt events we don't like. I love the logical bind that people place
themselves in where they say words are violence, right? Because I'm a wordsmith at the end of the
day. I'm a guy who uses words to galvanize the masses. So they're saying like words are violence,
except real violence on the other hand is perfectly appropriate.
Okay. This guy is engaging in agitative propaganda and he is maybe going to say things
that are going to lead to violence as opposed to this other guy who has been violent.
When neo-nazis get invited to campus,
Cornell Gropers announced that Nick Fuentes, the same Nick Fuentes on stream.
Well, that would be the case except for one thing, this didn't actually happen. Whatever
the universe is possible no matter it seemed pretty clear that nobody would be able to get away with
bringing a neo-nazi-uncites violence. Okay are they saying I'm the Nick Fuentes in this situation?
I feel like there's a really big problem with this Nick Fuentes comparison which is that I'm
anti-nazi whereas he is a neo-nazi. So different things are different.
I feel like if you're trying to create an analog here, if you're rushing to compare me to someone whose views I despise, whose views I fight back against every day, well, I guess therein lies the problem with this analog, right?
like Nick Fuentes and I oppose Israel for very different ways.
As a matter of fact, Nick Fuentes opposes Israel from a place of jealousy from a place of envy.
Nick Fuentes wants to do Israel in America, but for what he decides is a white Christian nationalist.
I oppose the concept and the ideology unconditionally, whether it be Jewish supremacy, ethno-nationalism, ethno-religious nationalism, and ethnic cleansing that comes as a consequence of that ideology, whether it be in Israel or in America.
So, yeah, this kind of stuff only works if you are already primed with a tremendous amount of hysteria, right?
This kind of stuff only works if you already are bought into the underlying argument that anyone who is in opposition to Israel must be a neo-Nazi.
And, unfortunately for a lot of these guys, the number of people that feel that way is shrinking by the day.
So they're just being hysterical to an increasingly shrinking audience of people.
But-
The prerogative of individual campuses that are the practice here, but rather identifying and making people be accountable for the choices that they make when they amplify speech and conduct that has been very harmful to minority communities.
What we've been dealing with is students and stakeholders from UT Austin, from Cornell University at a loss that he's coming and speaking on those campuses.
So the fact that, you know, I don't know if the buck stops with the administration or of course there's the issue of, you know, free speech, but when does that free speech line get blurred because of the conduct that is coming out of it.
and the safety and security of students and stakeholders that need to be upheld.
We have worked and continued to work on cases representing Jewish students on college campuses,
including Columbia Cooper Union, Carnegie Mellon, that have been exposed to a very hostile environment
of anti-Semitism. And it's the same environment that is fostered by the DSA, which is now bringing
students' exposure to radical ideas to people like Hassan Piker and other speakers that's
bringing to campus. So in our lawsuits, the same conduct that we have seen through encampments
and protests over the last few years, we're seeing that now shift to college campuses
bringing in speakers with extremist ideologies to show with students. So the concern is that
this is the new method of targeting minority students. We're requesting that the Democrat
National Committee condemn this situation. If they really want to make it clear that
Hassan Piker doesn't speak for them, then they need to prove it.
The Luffer Project, like a lot of organizations and people are very concerned about the rise of the DSA and its extremists.
Something that's really funny about this entire project is they think that like,
if a sufficient number of high-powered Democrats say Hassan Piker does not
represent us, that all of a sudden,
the Democratic Party's base of support is also going to be like, oh, I guess the panic is over.
Yeah, I guess we also, we too, are pro-Israel all of a sudden. They think that this is going to
somehow turn around if they yell enough if they yell about this enough if they
get enough people in positions of power to turn around and say you know we love
Israel it's very important to us these guys who are anti-Israel do not represent
us at all that magically all the voters like all the people that all the people
that they meet in person, in regular society, are also going to magically overnight change
their perspective. And it's really funny. I find it really strange. Like, it's, it's
not only hysterical, but it is a very funny way to approach this issue. Yeah, this is going to
solve it, my man. For sure. For sure. There's a number of people. Once you reach a certain quota
of condemnations, there's a automatic disqualification, you know?
Like, there's people out there who are like, oh, shit, dude.
He hit how many condemnations?
All right, well, I'm out.
Like, is that what we think is going to happen?
the
had Ken Martin condemn this guy? All right. Well, that was, that was what I was waiting
for. You know, I, I watched Israel commit a genocide with unlimited American support
for the last three years. But this guy who has been against all of that, uh, who I agree
with up until this moment well he's been cancelled by the the perfect number of
people so I guess my entire world views is is changing overnight all of a sudden
I'm done I'm done with this shit and it's apparent marriage between radical
Marxism and Islamist ideology which we have seen to be very funny real races
with it too, like, like, they don't even shot, like they're not even remotely embarrassed.
They don't even try to present their position as like a consistent woke. They literally are
just like, yeah, these guys are doing radical Islamism. Can it, can you imagine if I was
running around doing commentary? Like, yeah, these guys are doing radical Judaism. Like,
they would probably have a point about the whole anti-Semitism stuff, right? But you can't,
you can't design a world where on the one hand, you're literally being like, no, we're anti-woke,
we're anti-DEI, these fucking Muslims, they're coming into campus and they're pushing their
radical Islamism and then get super hysterical and get super hysterical about like how
how careful and considerate people need to be around Jewish folk.
Like it's not, it's an inconsistent position in and of itself.
Most people don't think about it like that.
They just have an all or nothing approach.
The, the woke side of the spectrum obviously looks at this and goes, yeah,
we're, we're very careful.
We're very considerate.
Myself included.
We oppose bigotry, right?
And the anti-woke side, the right-wing side for the most part, is anti-DEI, anti-woke,
and many of them have also decided that they're anti-Semitic as well, right? They don't have this
specific special carve-out. There is no special carve-out for Jewish people from the perspective of
many young republicans, right? They don't look at this and go, yeah, no, we're anti-DEI
except for Jews. Like, that's not how this stuff works at all, which is precisely the
reason why, you know, Ben Shapiro's lost his entire audience. But I guess these guys are
still trying to find this sweet spot of hate that comes to the streets of New York City
across America and presents a threat to both minority communities like the Jewish community
but also to American democratic values.
A lot of the fights we fight are not just Jewish fights.
We really fight to protect Western ideology.
We fight to really ensure that moral clarity wins out.
Yeah, we're fighting to preserve democratic values, which is why this fucking disgusting
Islamist needs to shut up.
And then you you scratch the surface of the guy that they're calling the Islamist very
funny stuff.
Anyway, the hysteria obviously continues.
You know what it is.
Here is Fox News continuing along with this hysteria.
is from two days ago.
The DSA was a big mistake and that they lost in those races.
If a son piker loses, if Angie Nixon loses, I mean, look at Francesca Hawke.
If a son piker loses, like, I think there are people over at Fox News who genuinely
think I'm running for office at this point.
They've talked about me so much that they think I have a race, like I'm in the race.
I'm in the running. I don't even know. I don't even know what race I'm in. I guess I'm in
all.
Oh, she was like the, you know, the big celebrity for about 10 days. And then tankle with Dana
Perino. Exactly. And she aligned herself with Piker and she went down. So I think this
is a storyline that's going to, we're going to watch really closely. It could be different.
I saw a comment on an article about you that said I can't believe this guy won his primary.
Yeah I don't know which primary I was supposedly participating in but in any case here is my
girl Maylott on Mehdi's stream, Mehdi's show, Mehdi asks her about me.
Let's see what she says.
appeared on Hassan Piker's stream more than once. He campaigned for you. He's become a big boogeyman
in Republican circles and in some Democratic circles. As you know, in Michigan, he's been used to
attack Abdul Al Sayed. How effective an ambassador for the left, for the pro-Palestine movement,
for the Democratic Socialist America, the DSA, and other boogeymen now, is Hassan Piker in your view?
You know, I think often about a canvas that we had pretty recently after I had appeared
on Hassan Stream where a young man had come up to one of the organizers and said, I found
your campaign because I was watching Hassan Stream.
I'm constantly targeted by people like Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes.
And this is the person that's telling me, plug in, get involved, volunteer.
I think Hassan Packer has an audience of young people, particularly young men, the very people
that we were complaining about not having and not organizing and activating in the last
presidential election.
And they're coming in now.
I think this outrage that we're seeing right now, do I agree with everything that's on
Pekka who has ever said no, I don't agree with everything that any media platform that
I'm coming in for has ever said.
But it's a complete and utter distraction from what we should actually be talking about.
And it's a right wing talking point and it's really disappointing to see Democrats falling
into that trap.
Hell yeah.
That's what I'm talking about.
And we should be focusing on all of the other economic crises that we're facing right now.
I mean, everything he does gets lots of media attention right now in a weird way in which
right wing crazy people don't get the kind of attention that Asan gets.
He did it into Axios this week in which referring to deaths from terrorism, he said America's
worse than Al Qaeda.
That was then clipped up as he said America's worse than Al Qaeda, which is not what he said,
of course, and that happens to him a lot.
There is this obsession with him.
And now Abdul Al Sayed was asked about those quotes.
He kind of disowned those quotes.
Do you feel that more and more people in the Democratic Party are gonna just feel the pressure?
Like, this is a losing battle.
We must disown Hasan Piker.
Would you disown Hasan Piker?
No, I'm not gonna disown anybody because there's, this is just a distraction.
Yeah.
Like, what are we going to do?
So you can't appease some of these bad faith actors by disowning them.
Exactly, exactly.
And it's our responsibility to, first of all, point out the fact that we are holding a Twitch
streamer to a higher level of accountability than a lot of these administration officials,
than Donald Trump, than all of these CEOs and billionaires that are out there.
Yeah, that's one of the things that I find like a super insincere as well, which is that I've been all over mainstream outlets, right?
Some have showered me with praise in the past and now attack me viciously.
And what's really interesting about it is like those with actual power,
Those with actual power, who have the capacity to make significant changes on people's lives and abuse that power to harm others.
All the way ranging from Hakeem Jeffries to Donald Trump, they never receive a fraction of the scrutiny that I receive.
You can have a guy like Sam Altman, and he's not going to receive the same level of scrutiny ever from Axios from any outlet
You can have a guy like Donald Trump who's not gonna get 56 minutes of of well, what about this?
What about this? What about this like?
They straight up
In some respects, I think it's because I'm a media figure. They're a media figure. There's like there's a lot more room
or for swashbuckling right intellectually
But it's very funny that
like the the treatment and the scrutiny that I receive from
institutions
from people in the media is
is
far more aggressive
Then people with actual power
Not just proximity to power which they can present
As me having now that I'm like affiliated with these campaigns. Oh, no
But like real power, it's very, it's absurd. I mean, it's absurd on its face. And yes,
even the framing here where like, I don't agree with everything he said is a cautious approach
because of the barrage of attacks that you receive for any slight or significant affiliation.
Obviously, Mayloth was fortunate enough to be able to conduct her campaign before the
media decided to make me public enemy number one.
Nice suit monkey should be deported to Gaza, queer, piker is a rapist terrorist.
Why do you hate white people?
is a bachi-bazi boy lover. Hussone should be deported tomorrow.
Great contribution to this course, my friend. Thank you for coming to the broadcast.
Our current president is an Epstein affiliate. It's very funny to think that like I'm in support of
of the Afghan pedophile warlords
that the American military aligned with
in our unjustifiable and endless occupation,
seemingly endless occupation of Afghanistan
that spanned across two decades,
where we spent, we wasted trillions of dollars,
take it up with the Epstein class, not me, okay?
I was against all of that.
How can we still hold people accountable in a reasonable way if everyone who scrutinizes seems insincere?
Actively responsible for the crises that we are facing right now, and I think our responsibility as Democrats, especially going into these midterms, is to point out to the hypocrisy of this media frenzy right now and redirect that attention to where it belongs.
Great take from Maylott, by the way. I mean, overall, great take.
Now to the surging cost of fuel including here's what really matters diesel prices
sort of nearly three dollars more than than this time last year we're obviously
going to be talking about that diesel which hit a new all-time impact on
Tuesday the average on American politics is going to be severe it we're already
seeing a version of this hold on top six dollars and 52 cents wow that's nearly
three dollars more than a year ago think about that and then up about a dollar
in the past month. Chris Van Cleave is here with what it means for you. Chris, we know
what it means for us. Not good, more money. Wow.
It's not, even though none of us are putting diesel in our cars.
All of us are going to feel it. That's why you saw all the Republican candidates and
Ed's piece in grocery stores calling for something to be done. Because diesel touches almost
everything we buy. Whether it's shipped or farmed, 75% of the vehicles that transport
the goods are powered by diesel. So take the grocery store, the cost for farmers to harvest
your food and their vehicles, that goes up. The cost of transport, your food goes up and
that trickles down to say the cost of your bananas. Historically, 10 to 15% increase in
diesel fuel prices moves food up by 4%. It's up almost 50%. You're talking 12 to 20% spike
in the cost of something like a banana. And you're already seeing higher costs for shipping
as well. The post office has raised postage. Now, diesel, as it continues to go up in the conflicts
in the Gulf continue, this will put further strain on the economy. The other thing that you
have to think about is you're also feeling it when you go to fuel up, right? You know that.
It's about $1.30 a gallon more than it was this time last year. That's $20 to $25 more per tank
each time you go to fill up.
Overall, we are all spending, and this is a huge number,
$114 billion more on energy than we did a year ago,
and we haven't even talked about heating fuel.
Yeah, when you put it in perspective, it really does.
I saw like a figure that it was almost like $2,000 per family,
you know, the added cost, but thanks for bringing the banana.
Yeah, we love it when you come.
Anybody like a banana?
I actually would. I have some frosted flakes upstairs.
Thank you very much.
Those will cost more too.
Yeah, that's all right. Thank you.
President Trump just announced that he is backing a proposal to ban diesel exports here in the United States
to bring prices down, but economists and even some within his administration are warning
there could be some real long-term consequences.
What's really interesting is that this has been something that a bipartisan group within Congress
have been calling for for weeks as diesel prices have just soared.
I mean, this week we just hit a record high over $6.50 a gallon.
That is around $3 more than at the start of this conflict, and this is prices going
up some 70% in the last six and a half months.
Here's some nuts and bolts of what a diesel export ban would do.
Basically, we refined 1.6 billion barrels of diesel here in the U.S. every day.
That supply, either some or all of it, would no longer go to the global market, it would
stay domestic, increasing our supply and bringing prices down, first for farmers and truckers
and then pricing pressures alleviating for almost all goods that are transported.
But experts warn this is a short term benefit and longer term you're talking about diesel
prices globally spiking, creating a supply shock that we won't be able to run from forever,
meaning longer term we could see prices even higher than they are right now and those pricing
pressures last even longer. So while President Trump announced that he is backing this idea,
some in his administration, including Secretary Scott Besant, are a bit more cautious.
We're examining that whether it's diesel in terms of the overall refining capacity
and whether a full or partial ban would work.
A diesel ban? Positive. We were just talking about jet fuel in the break and electric cars.
let's talk about diesel, the other side of this debate, maybe the most stringent confirmation
we've got, the strongest confirmation we've gotten from President Trump yet to reporters
yesterday that he is really ready to support what would be a diesel export ban in this country.
This comes after. Yeah, not much else to do there, right? Kind of cooked. Kind of cooked.
And I mean, I guess there is one thing that he could do, which is stop the fucking war, get back to the negotiations process, and find a permanent and just resolution to the war of choice that we are waging against the Islamic public of Iran.
That's one element. That's one thing he could do. But I think we know that that's something that Trump is incapable of doing.
I was going to say that something that Trump is incapable of doing, but honestly, he has done it in the past. He did it with the Houthis.
It's just that this is like far more consequential for a couple reasons. One, there's a much greater
global impact, so that's a big problem. There's a much larger acceptance in the aftermath of this
retreat if it happens, that American military supremacy is over, it changes things dramatically.
The recognition of failure here, the waving of the white flag, establishes Iranian primacy
over the Strait of Hormuz.
That is somewhat of a reset.
That is somewhat of an end to Western supremacy, to American global hegemony.
So it's a big deal.
a big deal for any president to address. Now, for people who are aware of what has actually
taken place, it's already too late. Like I've said, since the second week, like I have said,
Since the second week of the Operation Epic Fury started,
my argument has been the same.
We've already lost.
We lost the moment that we decided to strike Iran,
and Iran fought back.
It's all a matter of how long will it
take for us to recognize that defeat, right?
Because for the last seven months,
This has just been an endless sequence of copium,
an endless sequence of struggle sessions and cope,
refusing to reckon with the reality of our defeat.
And the Trump administration, I guess,
in the most predictable manner, has done the absolute worst possible thing they could every step of the way.
Instead of recognizing said defeat and then reorienting our foreign policy in a way that creates a better outcome for us,
Here on the home front, a better outcome for our allies.
We've decided to continue this song and dance with our tit for tat battles,
going up the escalation ladder.
Every step of the way, Iran's leverage grows.
This is another move in that direction, this diesel export ban is another move in the direction of complete catastrophe in the energy markets.
Predictably, US diesel features sunk more than seven percent.
European diesel futures surged over seven percent.
The American Petroleum Institute, the oil and gas industry is of course very unhappy with this.
Right? US supplies roughly 20 percent of the globally traded seaborne diesel and export
band would remove that supply from the market exacerbating the global refining shortage that
is driving the current high price environment. They're not entirely wrong about this because oil
is a globally traded commodity. Diesel is a globally traded commodity. Without it,
the entire system collapses. And for that reason, an America-first initiative of this
sort will offer modest respite in the short term and will lead to catastrophic failure in the long
term. Obviously, the reason why the American Petroleum Institute is against this is because
they're making money hand over fist. They're making so much money. When the prices go up and their
supply is unimpeded, they get to take advantage of the newer, much higher prices, they max
out and make up for the global market shortage, right? They make up for it. And now they're,
you know, 20% of globally traded seaboard diesel supply is being sold in the global
marketplace at much higher prices. If the competition is taken out because of
geopolitical disaster, this is great for them. And we've already seen it, right?
The American oil and gas industry has seen tremendous profits. I believe they've
quadrupled their profits as opposed, in comparison to last year around this time.
But the problem with not trading with Europe, when they are desperate, when they desperately
are in need of diesel, when we do some sort of export ban of this sort is that the goal
All here is to decrease prices of diesel domestically and leaving Europe out to dry.
But we're not considering what that does to the European markets.
We're not considering what that does to the supply chain in Europe.
We're not considering how much this will even hurt America in the long run.
It isn't hard to see why US President Donald Trump would say he supports a ban on diesel
exports from financial times.
after hard-working Americans while sticking at the fuel importers in Europe makes good
political hay ahead of the midterm elections and both superficially attractive economies.
But such a ban would make Uncle Sam's problems worse, not better.
At present, the US exports diesel because it refines far more than the country needs
in the second quarter of the year.
It exported a net 1.5 million barrels a day on wood McKenzie data, yet US prices of
sword along with those in the rest of the world because producers won't sell into domestic
markets at a lower all-in prices than those they could get elsewhere.
Diesel mainly goes in the trucks and tractors, so high-priced agricultural states such as
Iowa particularly hard and will embed inflation into wise swaths of consumer goods.
A ban won't be workable though, or at least not for very long.
Consider the particular mechanics of the oil market.
Refiners produce a slate of products, including gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, and fuel oil,
barrel of crude. Of that, diesel accounts for about 30%. The plants can tweak their process to
produce a bit more jet fuel, say, and a little less diesel, as they did when airline fuel ran
low earlier this year, but their flexibility is limited. So they couldn't cut back on diesel
production without also cutting back on other essential products. A block on exports would
land refiners with something like 1.5 million barrels a day of surplus diesel. In the short
term US prices would drop. That's literally what Trump is trying to do before the selection.
And yet the markets don't move that fast, or rather, both the negative downstream consequences
and the positive downstream consequences will not be felt as as fast as Trump wants them
to be felt, which is ironic because the midterms are coming up in a month and a half, right,
or less than a month and a half. So even this initiative will take some time to implement,
and once implemented, will not immediately have positive consequences for the American markets.
You're not going to see it. In the short term, U.S. prices would drop. Those in other countries
will rise. But where to sell or store all that extra diesel by way of reference,
Current US stocks and middle distillates, which include diesel, are about 70 million
barrels below their weekly peak, according to the Energy Information Administration.
And once diesel storage is full, plants would need to cut the overall amount of crude they refine,
leading to a tighter market for all products, including gasoline.
Another unintended consequence, if refiners are less active, the US would tend to export more
or crude oil. So this is also another immediate consequence of managing the extraction industry
in this, ironically, decentralized, even though it's not decentralized, I guess, but in this
profit center focus, right?
If the entire industry is run by profiteers, unlike China, for example,
Noah Sampson is tweeting at you, Bateline, can I ask you a question?
Should I stop in the middle of my commentary about the the number one crisis that is imminent
right now to answer Noah Sampson's question about Mamdani and how he is pivoted to the left?
Do you think we should stop covering the diesel shortage right now to address your question, to address Noah's question, especially considering that I have already addressed the question.
He just simply hasn't seen it.
What do you think we should do?
You have the floor.
Is your name Baitlin because you like baiting?
Let's continue.
unintended consequences of runners are less active as I was saying look this is a this is a byproduct of not having a
Stronger state control over our extraction industry and
Therefore the refiner is the producers the distributors they all
Operate on the basis of maximizing profits
So if maximizing profits is the is the ultimate goal here, of course the profiteers are gonna say what the fuck are you talking about?
We're not going to we're not going to move units at the behest of the public good
We're we're making money. We're making crazy amounts of money. Shut the fuck up
We're not going to
We're not going to stop selling to Europe even if you want us to sell to America. We're still gonna put
But the existing diesel and storage will maybe increase the amount that's sold to the American market.
But we're not going to drop prices dramatically in the domestic markets when eventually something's going to give,
And that something will be the administration due to outside pressure from our European allies who are going to be screaming bloody murder
Considering that the only reason why these little prices have actually skyrocketed is because of American military action
That stopped all traffic in the Strait of Hormuz
Eventually they're gonna say what the fuck are you doing?
You're literally killing us
So, from the perspective of the oil and gas industry, all they need to do is wait it out.
Wait it out until pressure mounts against the American administration to reverse their
decision here.
If we, on the other hand, already controlled our extraction industries in its entirety,
like China does, right?
We could move units around.
We could be like, all right, we don't need to, I mean, we're instituting price checks,
right?
We're capping the price at a certain point to offer people financial respite during this
time of unprecedented struggle.
But you can't do that if the government is servile to the interests of capital, if the
government works for the oil and gas industry.
You can't do that.
It's antithetical to what the American government is supposed to do.
Anyway, that would benefit anyone with sparefying capacity, which would at the moment is basically
China.
could increase crude imports at lower prices and either constrain exports of refined products
to rebuild domestic stores or increase them to capture to extra margin. For all these reasons,
the ban is unlikely to remain on the agenda for very long, but as commodity exporting countries
well know, there are other options to lower the price of domestic fuels subsidizing diesel,
perhaps financing the largesse through windfall tax on the oil sector. Oh, here we go.
Here we go. Yeah, what we should do to this to the oil and gas giants is offer them more benefits in this time.
It's not enough that they've already had windfall profits, record high profits. That's not enough.
Now we have to beg them to come to the table. And then when they're at the table, we have to beg them to do the right thing by
We have to urge them to do the right thing by, you know, getting them on board by giving
them even more profits.
It's ironic because Biden did the exact same thing.
And the oil and gas industry was very clear back then.
They were like, fuck off.
Suck me from the back.
We have a fiduciary responsibility to our shareholders.
That's what they said at the time.
Here was Biden's response.
Thanks in large parts of the steps we've taken this year.
The price of oil has fallen nearly $40 a barrel since mid-June.
That's a 30% drop in the price of a barrel of oil.
But guess what?
Gas prices haven't fallen that much, and it's not right.
Gas prices in the pump should be lower.
In fact, if retailers and refiners were earning the average profit they've made over the last
17 years, Americans would be paying at least 60 cents less per gallon for every gallon
they buy.
Say it again, 60 cents less for every gallon they buy.
That makes a big difference in the family.
My message to the American Energy Company is this, you should not be using your profits
to buy back stock or for dividends, not now, not while the war is raging.
You should be using these record breaking profits to increase production.
Come on, come on, please, please, guys.
Look at me.
Look alive, Jack.
And refining invest in America for the American people.
bring down the price you charge is a pump to reflect what you pay ah why aren't
they doing the thing that goes against their only goal which is increasing
profit margins I don't understand it jack anyway the Gulf Coast holds 54% of us
for finding capacity and makes more fuel than it uses the East Coast relies
partly on imports banning exports would trap surplus diesel in one region while
while tightening the global market that supplies another.
Refiners produce gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel together with limited flexibility to
change the mix.
Yada, yada, yada.
It's basically what the fucking financial times reported on as well, okay?
So once again, and I repeat, because we do not have tighter control or tighter restrictions
on on how this this necessary commodity is refined and is distributed we're now
stuck in this bime where we're like well what if we just like uh do an export ban
and then hope the oil and gas giants cooperate
there is a category that a lot of people are not talking about
a
Zomp indicated. How are they always?
What?
XCMG unveils new generation new energy heavy truck for long-haul freight. Oh
Yeah, that's that's for a different day this story. That's
Son, I'm begging you please do not cover the lesbian master I'm 100% going to cover the lesbian master. Are you kidding me?
It's like
perfectly in the wheelhouse of this community and
And it's also a good conversation that we have to have every now and then to basically call the
worst tendencies of left organizing. And it's also funny. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson
said that the administration is considering it. Essentially the idea would be if we,
because we produced diesel here from our refineries, if we stopped sending it abroad,
we'd keep it at home, we can lower prices. The problem is that there's a lot of-
You're no longer the leader of the left?
problems with how that theory plays out. I want to read a comment from Patrick Dahan,
friend of the show at GasPuddy. US diesel prices are determined not by US supply and demand balance,
but a global one. And this is the core problem. Sure, we stop exporting. Maybe prices in the
Gulf Coast come down a little bit where that stuff's produced. But then you take off what's
going to the market. And then the global market prices go up. And guess what? Yeah.
Like what is Europe supposed to do this would not be an dude Europe has been hit by price shocks
Not once but twice now and in both incidents
It was because of war war that we you know played somewhat of a role in obviously the Russian invasion of
Ukraine is not entirely the fault of America obviously Vladimir Putin is a is a person with
Insane points of view, but also, you know agency, right having said that
A part of that process required us to tell our European partners like you can't get gas directly, you can't get oil directly from Russia, right?
That cooked them first time around. That was, you know, half a decade ago at this point.
But this time, it's entirely our fault, right? Like this time, it is 100% entirely our fault.
We did not need to disrupt the the transit of oil in the Strait of Hormuz
We chose to do it because of this war of choice against Iran
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and we did it at the behest of Israel, right a fucking pariah state
Like it's totally cook Europe cut itself off from Russian fuels switch the more expensive US LNG
Then let the Yanks use its bases to start a war that compromise global fuel supplies
It may now be about to eat shit for these decisions in the most incredible way
We're destroying Europe we are actively it almost feels like we're we're punishing Europe
For its past crimes all mode like it doesn't make any sense. We're punishing Europe for vassalizing itself every day prices
Have to reprice off of that and you don't solve anything all you've done is make the deficit globally deeper
Could it work? Short term, sure. You could see some mild prices, but how do you get that diesel up to northeast over to the West Coast?
You run into a lot of problems right away.
Nobody that I'm seeing and I'm reading or I'm talking to really expects a full ban.
You might see a partial one, but even that seems a little sketchy. This is like the most ass-sign thing ever to do this diesel ban.
I mean, think about this. If you take off that supply here locally, right? Then if I'm a producer,
Why do I want to pump out more deep, more deep?
That's exactly right.
Yeah, I'm going to cut back on pumping or distilling it, and I'm just going to let it
equilibrate again, and then I'm going to try to get paid more.
Or I'm going to funnel that distillate in to make it, or recruit into making it.
Something else, right?
You know, the things that I can export, right?
Yes.
Yeah, that's exactly right.
It's gasoline, or heating fuel, or jet fuel, whatever it is.
But isn't it, it's both upstream and downstream effects are good.
That's right.
the same thing play out in Russia, where Moscow has implemented a diesel export ban to try
to control domestic pricing that's gotten out of control. Domestic pricing in Russia
has not come down because of the same problem. Now, their market's a little bit different,
but it's the same fundamental economic principle. Because prices are high globally, because
we're finding capacity globally is that 99-100%, you cannot artificially control these prices,
no matter how hard you try. And that's the hurdle you run into when you try to start
using an export ban as a lever.
The other thing that Patrick DeHaan talked about
was the Jones Act waiver.
That's right.
It basically requires what American midships
transport stuff around.
Fuel around from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast up here.
You have to use an American midship
that's registered in the US with an American crew.
But there's a waiver on that right now.
There is a waiver to try to reduce prices
because those ships are expensive.
But it expires on November 15th.
That it does.
And he points out there needs to be,
if they do this export ban and that expires,
that then would make the situation even even worse. I mean I will say this never underestimate
the ability and willingness of this administration to enact things that almost are universally
condemned right. I mean we saw that obviously with tariffs which has turned out how it's turned out
you know the war in Iran also you know obviously there and it's sort of extraordinary at this
moment where you see approval ratings of the administration at the lowest they've ever
been that they're considering doing something which I guess might help in the short term,
which most experts almost, again, almost universally say isn't really.
There is real market pain. AAA has the price today of diesel at the pump in the U.S. averaging
652 a gallon. That is a record high. There is real pain. And could an export ban reduce
some prices in the short term
absolutely
but it is not a long-term solution
uh... you know per any economist who looks to discuss where i mean the
short term i mean uh... they'd be really really short right but it's
funny it's mentioned uh...
the kind of the all sides are not happy to leave policies
you can argue that
left-leaning
economists will be would agree with the tariff would agree with stuff like a
diesel diesel van because it's
supporting domestic policy domestic agenda right obviously
economists would agree this is not a good idea overall, but you know, I think that there's
something there where this administration is doing things that are populist or I don't
know what the inclination is or I don't know if it's because of midterms coming up, it
just seems like it's all so politically sort of motivated.
Well, you know, and diesel, to your point, higher diesel prices are an issue, right?
Yeah, it is a problem.
It's the work or the bill of the economy.
Yeah, I mean, Torsten Sack over at Apollo was out with it, you know, he comes out with
his daily charts that we all read and the one this morning was about how diesel prices
transmit into core inflation. So it's not just this like transitory thing that comes
and goes. He says the rise in diesel prices does not stay in the energy line of the CPI
that migrates with the lag into core goods and services, which is exactly the kind of
path through the Fed cannot dismiss as transitory. So like the thought behind this as trying
to get diesel, like that's a good, the impulse is good.
The impulse or in prices down is correct, right.
And you've seen calls coming from the farming lobby community.
You've seen them coming from a public and lawmakers
in rural states because all of this, you know,
all the factory and farming equipment runs off diesel.
If you're gonna move goods around this country's
a retailer, you're a target, for example.
All those 18 wheelers run on diesel, there is real pain,
but there are more structural deficit problems globally
that have to get addressed before you see any real price relief.
And those will probably take time.
And those will take time.
It has to do with destruction of refining capacity.
This is the problem I talk to with energy traders every day.
If the war stopped today, we get a truce tonight,
everything is done.
Back through the straight, fully open.
Things are moving, crude is flowing.
Crude is already flowing.
Three-quarters of the pre-war levels have returned.
And yet, distillate prices, gasoline, marine fuel, jet
fuel, diesel, are still at or near all-time highs.
because you can't fix a structural capacity problem.
Refinery is taking a long time to build.
If you are an exon, a chevron, a valero, a marathon,
you can make a lot of money right now selling that stuff.
But for anyone buying it,
that is a really tough picture
that's not gonna go away anytime soon.
And now this, President Trump is considering a ban
on diesel exports.
Here's what Art Laffer had to say about this earlier
on our show today.
I love the date.
There were a little dig in there at the left, by the way.
Yeah.
It was the left that was demanding a fucking war of choice with Iran.
That would cause the most predictable global energy collapse.
Yeah, I was doing that leftistly, dude.
I was doing that woke style.
I was like, yeah, we should do this.
Like is there a point where something bad from the finance guys ever comes from the right?
Is there ever an instance where they actually you know hit the right on something that the right is doing that the right has been agitating towards
Or is it all is still somehow
Donald Trump's
Secret communism that is responsible, you know
It's awesome. Donald Trump, in a secret communist manner, is doing these like export controls.
It's so, oh, it's so unique. I wonder if the left is really appreciating this.
Yeah, secret communism has done tremendous damage to America. And what we call secret
The communism is just straightforward war mongering that you've seen from every administration
accelerated, especially so under Republican administrations like this one.
If someone's selling the diesel fuel at a much higher price to a foreigner who needs
it badly, they should be able to do that.
If a domestic person wants to buy it and pay for it, they should be able to do that too.
This isn't a government role to the trust side.
much is sold in the U.S. this week, this month, this day, it's just, it's just
meddling and it makes no sense to me at all. Clearly he does not like the idea
of an export ban on diesel. Former Treasury Energy Secretary under
President Trump, that will be down for yet, joining me now. He doesn't think it's a
very good idea. Yeah, right. It's a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible idea.
Well, look, Stuart, over a year ago, the administration lifted the Biden pause on
on the export of LNG.
They had banned it for a period of time.
The arguments that they made there
were that it would deny investment
in this important industry, which was an incredible industry
that was growing by leaps and bounds.
The same thing is going to happen here.
It's a terrible investment signal to send to this industry.
But even more importantly, even with regard
to the price of diesel in America today, which is quite high,
it will do nothing to lower that price in the near term.
And the reason for that is because when
you shut down that production, which is going to happen,
you can't move diesel very easily in the United States
because we don't have pipeline capacity.
Most of our refining capacity is in the Gulf Coast area,
Texas, Louisiana.
And when you shut those down, you have to store it someplace.
It's pure politics, isn't it?
It's pure politics.
And I think it looks to me to be more about the selection
than about the economy.
It won't look good if the president tries
to get diesel prices down.
It doesn't work.
People see it doesn't work.
Politically, that's bad.
That's very bad.
I'm not a politician.
It was never elected.
won't be elected. I said I don't know anything about running the campaign but it looks to me to have
more to do with that than it does with the actual price of diesel. We got a surprise just the other
day when we saw this study that in 2025 the average electricity price in California was more than
double the national average. We believe that all of that came from wowsy climate policy. Is that
where it comes from? That's where it comes from. There's no question about that. They pay roughly
35 cents a kilowatt hour, the rest of the country pays about 15 cents a kilowatt hour,
and I think it is largely due to the fact that they have state policies in place that record.
It's awesome.
Trump will engage in explosive growth for data centers
That like quintupled prices all around the country electricity bills all over the country and they're like
Yeah, you know, this is a leftist initiative
Again, they're doing the same thing that the Yahoo finance guys were doing somehow this is still the fault of the left
PG&E carries over the cost of the necessary infrastructure improvements that are legally
mandated as a direct consequence of wildfires that they've contributed to over to the consumers.
Oh, they're doing this leftistly.
It's the same principle always.
People will point to the immediate failures of capitalism and go, but look out.
This will be far worse if socialism was implemented.
It's like, really?
And then you ask them what they're fearful of under socialist governance and
they describe capitalism.
You know, wealth and power being concentrated in the hands of a select few group of people.
It's like, oh, that's, that's your issue.
That's your fear with communism and socialism, because it kind of feels like you're describing the current predicament that we're under.
Good to know that that was your big fear, because we're existing in that system right now, and you are a beneficiary.
You acquire the use of renewable, intermittent generation sources.
So when you buy a windmill, you also have to buy a battery.
When you buy a solar panel, you also have to buy a battery.
So you have to buy two for every electron, two forms of generation for every electron
you want to produce.
But blue states are not wanting to go back completely reverse those climate policies.
Or are they?
Well, look, I think it's very difficult.
Again, I'm not an elected politician, so I don't really know how hard that is, but
I can't imagine that they're gonna reverse these policies anytime in the future.
So they're gonna suffer some more?
They're gonna suffer some more.
Well, they could move, of course, and a lot of them are.
Alright, down to the blue, yeah? Thank you very much, sir.
Appreciate it. Thank you, Stuart.
Alright, Trump, what are we doing, man?
$6 diesel, man, is fueling truck drivers.
Right now, they take me to fuel this one like a boost of 1,000 watts.
But the fuel the way it is, maybe you won't be eating today.
Diesel prices just hit $6 across the country at an all-time high.
Have you ever seen diesel prices as high?
We wanted to know how it's affecting work.
I mean, what do you say?
What do you say to this?
I guess the answer is thank God we don't have communism.
Thank God if we instituted price controls, for example, that would be terrifying.
A terrifying prospect at a time of imminent crisis.
Crisis born out of our wealthy elite's interest
in advancing the interests of a foreign country.
This time Israel.
Everything is interconnected.
And this interconnected system is designed
to max out profits.
And while regular folks suffer as a consequence,
like the consumer suffer because inflation
Skyrockets because obviously these companies are going to carry over the cost of the consumers as truckers suffer as a consequence of this because they
Have to pay out a pocket for the diesel and that those prices are going up
And everything becomes
Even more costly than it was before
The people at the tipi top they're not suffering
Your purchasing power goes away. They're purchasing power goes up
A direct contradiction.
Fantastic.
Somehow, we have to find a way to blame communism for all of this though, you know?
First, so we came out to Fort Collins, Colorado, to talk to truckers who rely on a full tank to do their jobs.
We carry 200 gallon tanks and it was a six bucks per gallon, you know, it's tight about 1200 bucks each fillet.
The owner-operator's are the ones that get the most.
owner operator truck drivers function kind of like small businesses they own
their own trucks and have to pay for all truck expenses out of their own pocket
including their diesel and this record high diesel prices really hurt their
ability to provide for themselves and their families diesel has been
increasing dramatically since Trump launched his war with Iran it's hard
to make money right now, you know, because, you know, before, it's like half the price
filled, you know, right now. You don't make no money at all.
The price of diesel impacts everything, the cost of transporting produce to your grocery
store, the cost to run farmers machinery, and the cost of raising cows, pigs, and chickens.
I'm a firm believer that you have to look out for children. Without us, you don't have
food at home. You don't have food at a restaurant. You don't have stuff that you need daily.
in the Australian Central, we provide that for the families.
Trump's two-week forever war isn't just costing Americans $38 billion of our tax dollars.
It has also cost Americans an extra $87 billion in gas and diesel prices, and that figures
from August.
It doesn't even account for the massive increase in prices since then.
It's a very small price to pay for getting rid of a nuclear weapon.
Trump, I would say, I think he's eager so big that he doesn't listen to anybody, is
my guess.
dog dog give it another month and if you told Americans if gas prices gas prices
are gonna go down but Iran gets to have a nuke Americans would be shipping
nuclear-grade enriched uranium to Iran they'd be like I'll fly it myself God
damn it okay do you understand America's gonna be like give him one of the nukes in South Dakota
brother I don't give a fuck like we're there we're getting there take one from North Dakota brother
we got plenty in the silos in my backyard they're just sitting there getting dusty give them to Iran
This comes as Trump is now bloating the idea that we might just stay in Iran for the oil,
indicating he does not intend to end this war anytime soon. For truck drivers, farmers,
and you at home, this means higher prices with no end in sight.
In the name of God, the most compassionate, the most merciful, Mr. President, Mr. Secretary,
General. Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, I had prepared a speech to present to you
yesterday the United States President described us as terrorists. We have been the victims
of terrorism. I come from an Iran in which our
terrorist-based Supreme Leader was assassinated without any legal framework of reason. I come
from an Iran were in truth. They bombed a school. You see these children? These children
perished under bombs, with weapons used by the United States and Israel. They were innocent.
committed no crimes yeah I said basically this last week and I got yelled
at endlessly doesn't change the reality of the situation but that was an act of
terror one of the small cities in the province in Iran
A sports hall where children were busy playing, the United States, by using weapons with multiple warheads, targeted that sports hall, they martyred, assassinated our scientists, our men, women and children.
innocent children whom the truth had committed no crimes, no sins. Those who are terrorists
and train and protect terrorists describe us as such. We have only defended ourselves.
We are not terrorists, that our innocent people have been the targets of cowardly attacks
and aggressions imposed upon our country, and we defended ourselves with utmost strength.
America and Israel attacked us equipped with the latest technology and weapons systems,
and our people stood step fast.
Yes, they did hit us, but we did not bend the knee, we did not bow our head.
We responded, but we did not hit civilian populations.
They came into surrounding territories and targeted our universities, our healthcare centers, our schools, our hospitals.
My aunt saw her interview where you said, pal, she agreed with you completely.
She also went on and on about how handsome you are and we'll be watching you now. Good.
infrastructure, all of it against international law.
I took over the responsibilities as president.
They assassinated this one,
Haniai, in the day of the inauguration of Israel,
targets any neighborhood.
EECD and Aguillas have assassinations
like the true terrorists in Gaza.
Over 80,000 innocent Egyptian youths
have been murdered, brutally murdered.
Hundreds of thousands have been displaced.
They are committing genocide by using the 2000 technologies
that they have there.
They're disposal men, they label others as terrorists.
Are we?
The sources of this instability,
We only seek to live independently.
We are the ones who cause instability,
those who are committing crimes, are they the protectors
of peace and stability?
None of the international laws have been adhered to by them.
This is what we're facing.
We don't want anything.
We have received our response.
We need strength because a people which
is unable to defend itself will be trampled upon in today's
world.
We live in a world in which the...
Powerful in stead of thinking about humanity, justice, fairness and democracy,
they seem to be the protectors and creators of instability and destruction,
whomever they wish to discredit, they have been embarrassed.
For 100 years, for the past two centuries,
Iran has not attacked any country or any territory,
but we've always defended ourselves, steadfast,
But now we're being accused of being sourced of instability in the region.
We're labeled terrorists.
And this has made it so that the people that we have chosen for ourselves requires power
to defend ourselves.
We do not seek power in order to counter-commit aggression.
We seek energy for Congress, not to threaten society's work weapons.
And we wish to cooperate and collaborate for security.
people here all in the past seven months, our people have been in the streets every night,
never straightening support of their land, of their homeland, so as to not allow those who work
if we don't, and train and all of Israel and America to cause disruption in the security of
their country. For seven months, day and night, they've been present. Guys, I saw the USA guy
leaving. Okay, I know. I saw. Okay, I saw. What do you expect?
They are our source of power and our support and that's why we stand fast, you must be
powerful. So as we avoid being threatened to avoid its future being threatened, we do not
wish to use our power for the Germany, and we do not seek our security and the insecurity
of others. The views of the Iran's defense, our defensive
systems have been built so that no one can think that bombing of Iranians to be used
will go unanswered. That is why we have to be literally power-treated for defense. But
We say it clearly, we do not seek anyone's permission or approval.
We seek energy for progress for years that have labeled centrifuges, international sanctions,
other labels where it comes down to nuclear technology, but for our country, peace for
nuclear technology is part of our demand progress.
What?
I increased the volume.
It was too low.
increase the volume because it was too low.
I think the PBS version of this video is a lot easier to listen to
Okay, then send it to me
Um oh my god, I have a bunch of fucking actual literal babies in my community
Yes, this is Pzyshkyan, the president of Iran.
He is perhaps the most like moderate force in a position of power in Iran right now.
We have received our duty of their country.
For seven months, day and night, they've been present in the streets.
They are our source of power and our support and that's why we stand fast.
For hegemony and we do not seek our security and the insecurity of others.
Vis-a-vis Iran's defense, our defensive systems have been built so that no one can think that
bombing of Iranians- Stay away from the lesbian bar story until it cools down a bit just my
two cents.
Why?
Cities will go unanswered.
That is why we have the military power we do for defense, but we say it clearly.
In order to defend our country, we do not seek anyone's permission or approval.
We seek energy for progress.
For years, there have been labelled centrifuges, international sanctions, other labels when
it comes to our nuclear technology, but for our country, peaceful nuclear technologies
part of our inherent progress for our sick people is cure and treatment for the agricultural
sector is food security for industries advancement and progress and supply of electrical energy.
Iran does not accept for nuclear technology to be at the exclusive disposal of some of
a handful. We will not, we will not bow our head and give up the right that is.
There are no captions in this video, my friend.
I'm sorry.
Do you want clearer audio or do you want captions?
If you want captions, you won't get the clearer audio.
If you want clearer audio, you won't get the captions.
It's one or the other.
I'm sorry.
I'm not trying to torture you deliberately by doing this.
Well, others have spoken of peace.
This is just the situation that we have in front of us, OK?
I don't know how to please everybody.
And unfortunately this is,
this is Loki part of the reason why I wanted to cover
the lesbian mask mandate bar story in Western Massachusetts
because like it happens in this community all the time.
And I yell at people that do stuff like this all the time
for the same reasons as the why I don't want to turn into
the western massachusetts lesbians only bar
okay
and by that i don't mean i i don't want this to be a a safe place for queer
folk or anything like that i mean like
i don't want this entire
structure in this community collapse
okay which is why we will be covering that story in a little bit
inherently ours we said clearly
no nuclear weapons and no limitations to new peaceful nuclear technology
Our peace will not come in the field of battle.
But they must give the needed security to the people and nation of Iran.
We seek cooperation in order to have security.
We live in a region in which warfare knows no borders.
Crisis in one land will spill into the surrounding nations.
That's why Iran does not see her neighbors as security rivals.
We want to have strong neighbors in waters, in the state of Hormones.
We cannot let some have free access and gain their interest from a waterway while at the
same time using that waterway to impose their aggressions upon us, to impose insecurity upon
us, to forbid us access to our own waterways.
They close access for us to our own waterway, yet they keep supplying missiles and deadly
tech-military technologies to bring insecurity to all of the land surrounding that waterway.
We will not succumb to that.
The expansion of warfare will not result in security.
One cannot create chaos for the coastal countries seeking naval security.
Excellencies, vis-a-vis Palestine.
Palestine remains an open wound on the conscience of the international community, and Gaza
remains as simple as the failure of international mechanisms to prevent civilian suffering.
For decades, resolutions have been adopted, yet occupation and violence have continued.
We cannot speak of peace while ignoring Palestine.
Lasting peace in West Asia is impossible without justice for Palestine.
As long as occupation, aggression and injustice persist in the world, resistance will continue.
If it is weakened in one form, it will reemerge in others, perhaps stronger still.
despite relentless killing and widespread devastation
has strengthened the people's faith in resistance and resistance cannot be
destroyed by bombs and siege. This is human nature.
If a human being is driven... Do you think this speech is even a little
convincing to the Eurocucks? No.
No. This kind of stuff is simply for the historical record.
in a moment where it mattered. An envoy from the country that's being destroyed, attacked, unjustifiably comes out and delivers a rousing speech,
but it's just for posterity. It has nothing to do with like changing minds. This is not,
the world doesn't work like an Aaron Sorkin television show. Okay.
Okay.
And unfortunately, Europeans simply do not care.
And what's even more interesting to me is that Europeans don't even care when they are
being impacted negatively.
Because as we've described earlier in the broadcast, European markets are going to suffer,
right?
They're going to suffer and are suffering already as a direct consequence of the war
that America is waging on Iran at the behest of Israel.
And yet, European leadership can't get their shit in order.
They can't get together and say, we
have to abide by international law.
America has violated it for far too long.
And as a matter of fact, they are oftentimes
celebrating America's actions.
I mean, Kaya Kallis met with the foreign minister of Iran yesterday, Sayed Abbas Arakshi,
a man who I would really wish to interview one day.
I'm in New York, he's in New York.
If Abbas Arakshi is watching, I am available for an interview.
In any case, Chaikhaalas, as the European leader that Abbas al-Aqshi was talking to, did not talk about how America had violated international law when it attacked Iran.
Instead, the entire conversation, or at least the aftermath of the conversation, the reflection
from Cairo Coliseus' side, was to bring up Iran's domestic policies of repression, Iran's
retaliation against America, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, impeding on normal oil
traffic transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, not a single consideration, not a single
consideration for a country of 90 plus million people that had been attacked through an act
of perfidy by the American and Israeli governments.
I'm sorry, but if Europe that is supposed to represent the bulwark of the liberal international
order and these institutions that the European continent is supposed to defend are going
to cast aside this system of stability that we have to maintain, that we have designed
that we are supposed to protect, then who is going to do it?
Here it is.
This is what I was talking about.
minister, Arakshi, on the sidelines, we address diplomatic prospects for ending the U.S. Iran
war and fully reopening the Shredda Hormuz. There were no tolls or fees or passages before
the war. Navigation must be free and unimpeded, both in Shredda Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab
straight. I also raised domestic repression inside of Iran, including a sharp rise of
executions and death sentences.
Kaia Kallis, pivoting from celebrating U.S. Israel's assassination of Iran's head of state
and their war of aggression a crime that nuremberg trials deemed
the supreme international war crime to lecturing the victims about international
on human rights
the death of allie how many is a defining moment in iran's history what
comes next is uncertain
but there's now an open path to a different around one that it's
people may have greater freedom to shape
there's another version of this as well
pedra sanchez pedra sanchez happens to be the most like
left leader, left-most leader in Europe right now.
He's done a lot of good things overall.
And one could even speculate that his actions
against Israel have given more confidence
to countries like the UK.
We saw the Miliband decision.
They were toothless sanctions, but they were symbolic,
but they were sanctions nonetheless that came after.
Pedro Sanchez is currently letting American propelsthan
actors by the name of Fergie Chambers, get extradited to the United States on fake charges,
complete nonsensical and complete political charges.
He met with Zoram Mammdani this morning.
They had a wonderful experience, they had a wonderful breakfast, you know, they're both
handsome, charismatic faces of social democracy, right?
yet when it comes to when it comes to left solidarity Pedro Sanchez called
left how how low have we fallen buddy I'm talking specifically about how Pedro
is seen by the rest of the world whether you and I understand the reality
Pedro Sanchez is seen as like the leader of the, you know, European left. Of course, he's not.
This is an instance where I'm criticizing him.
But relative to the rest of the European continent, yes, he is the leftmost, like most bold leftmost politician in Europe.
At least he's not calling Trump daddy like Mark Ruta, right?
Do you understand?
Because like, because that's what the expectation is from the average Eurocuck leader is opening
your mouth wide enough so you can suck Trump even harder than you could before. Okay. Prying
open your mouth to take Trump's entire boot. That's how the European leaders operate. Pedro
on the other hand, doesn't go that far, except for this instance, right? This was disappointing
to say the least. Anyway, we'll talk about that in a little bit. But I guess my point
is I want these institutions to have teeth if we do not have law and order, if we do
not have accountability for people who are serial violators of law and order, serial
violators of the international order that we have designed, then those rules are gone.
They are irrelevant and we're casting them aside and we're living in a new system of
lawlessness and disorder and instability.
To say simply that the UN is useless, lemmao, and move on is silly, okay?
We already have the skeleton of something that is supposed to theoretically work, pushing
our leaders to take action and utilize the system that's already in existence is probably
the more pragmatic approach to all of this rather than to say it doesn't work anyway,
fuck it.
I have made peace Donald Trump still insists he's the president of peace commitment to peace restoration of peace peace
But this week his message echoed out across a UN General Assembly
dominated by questions of war enough is enough the fight team must stop
America's war in Iran. So when will the war with Iran end?
Israel's assault on Gaza
We will not stand by as the horrific suffering continues to grow and Russia's conflict in Ukraine
President is Donald Trump right to be optimistic about an end to the Russia Ukraine complex?
But if Trump in raising the prospect of an imminent deal
Wanted to tell the world that he can control Vladimir Putin is this what that control looks like
Russia pounding Ukraine's capital key this morning in broad daylight
like drone strikes that sense like we look at what Russia is doing against Ukraine and
we think to ourselves like how could a country violate the the post-World War two designs
so aggressively so ruthlessly what America's been doing it the only difference now is that
like there is a country outside of the the western ecosystem that is now doing it themselves
and that is the reason why we look at that and go wow this is completely unacceptable I mean
it's unacceptable when Russia does it but it's also unacceptable when America does it my argument
here of course is to tell you like not that this is justifiable when Russia does it of course make
make no mistake. What I'm saying is, if we are actively signaling to the rest of the
world that the international rule-based order is gone, it's done, it's the thing of the
past, the expectation that our foreign adversaries are going to then still continue to abide
by some kind of some kind of interest in stability and order is idiotic. It's stupid.
Citizens fleeing. Hardly a message of de-escalation as the U.S. Security Council prepared to meet
in New York. But before that meeting came Iran's response to the U.S. President after
Trump casually mused. Do I annihilate the Islamic Republic?
whether he should, in his words, drive Iran into hell.
Yesterday, the United States President described us as terrorists.
We have been the victims of terrorism.
And I come from an Iran where, in truth, they bombed a school.
Iranian President Masoud Pazashkin came armed with pictures of some of the school girls
killed by that American strike.
the U.S. delegation walked out in protest, Pazashkin said Iran wanted to discuss peace
but would not surrender.
We have proven that we're not afraid of fighting, and we will stand in defense of our beloved
Iran, our homeland, until our last breath.
The speech marked the first time in the UN's 80s.
Think about what America represents.
Every time the UN General Assembly has been conducted, the United States of America found
itself entangled in yet another military quagmire, whether it be Vietnam, Korea, whether it be
Iraq, Afghanistan, like Cuba is an ongoing incident right now.
starving Cuba, Palestine, and now Iran. It makes no sense. Yeah, Iraq again.
It's totally ridiculous.
Yeah, history.
That a leader of a country actively at war with the US was given permission to speak
in New York with protection from the US Secret Service.
Ukraine and then to Ukraine as European Foreign Minister stood side by side with their keyed
counterpart Andriy Sabir ahead of the UN Security Council meeting.
Minister, can I ask you a question about today's strikes in Kiev?
What message do you think Russia is sending with them?
Unfortunately, Russia now is attacking us on a daily basis, carefully.
I'm sorry.
getting fat mugged by Russia. I know in comparison to Lavrov, Andriy Sibih is
certainly a bigger boy, but when you think about the other guy, Pyotr Igor, the
The other guy, Igor, they're on void to Armenia.
That guy is the biggest of all boys.
Andri, you are rotund, my friend, but nowhere near the level necessary.
This is an arms race.
You have been around Steven Chung.
You have been warned.
Energy greed, civilian objects, we have many casualties, so we need to close the Ukrainian
sky.
Donald Trump said it did.
Was the USSR doing heinous war crimes in Afghanistan in the 80s?
Yes.
One...
Yes.
That's not like, uh, yeah.
That's not like a Western narrative.
That is well-established, one million percent yes.
It doesn't feel like it with those strikes today.
Well, we welcome the efforts of the President Trump to end this war.
The only person in the world who ends this conflict is President Trump.
And we believe in him.
But as Trump on their side yesterday, when meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, the President...
Are you sure it's not propaganda?
What? No, dude. What the fuck?
Guys, countries outside of the United States are also capable of wrongdoing.
What the fuck's wrong with you?
President suggested our former Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, had been a little too mean to
Vladimir Putin.
But I will say the rhetoric from your last Prime Minister was too tough.
I've seen that dialogue and the dialogue is too nasty.
But what about our new Prime Minister?
Andy Burnham was hardly holding back last night, taking aim at Russian disinformation
and also accusing Putin of war crimes.
But we should call Russia out this time and every time.
in this room knows that strikes on civilian infrastructure are explicitly forbidden by
international law. Yet we stand here in the UN announcing funding to mitigate the effects
of these war crimes.
It's been appointed to the absurdity of this coming from a member of the UN Security Council.
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov invited to take not only this seat but one opposite
It's just funny. It's funny to just like turn a blind eye to like another member of the UN Security Council like look
This is an opportunity for you to address
It's an opportunity for you to address like the hypocrisy everywhere, right?
obviously Burnham can't do that because
The British government is culpable in Israel's war crimes Israel Israel's genocide
But it is really funny to be like, I can't see anything that the American side is doing.
I'm here to call out a member of the Security Council, Russia.
Like fair.
Hit them, but also, you're standing in New York City.
the fucking point of the UN General Assembly. If you're not going to say anything about
what America is conducting currently, when there is a literal energy crisis that is
ongoing, and it's only going to worsen as a direct consequence of some of the war crimes
that America has conducted.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a summit in which French President Emmanuel Macron
He's his final turn up yet. Not only that, but also some Israeli officials were charged with genocide by an international court in the charge of being responded to by destroying the court with assistance of their assets in America.
Europeans need the ICC for their war with Russia, but feel too paralyzed to do anything in response. America once again, putting them in a double bind, putting Europe in a double bind.
Europe has an energy crisis. They can't get their energy from Russia because they're waging war with Russia.
Europe has a crisis where the International Criminal Court is supposed to prosecute the war crimes conducted by Vladimir Putin.
So they have to defend the ICC, but America is destroying the ICC because the ICC is now coming after Israel.
They're constantly getting as blasted from both sides.
Europe is always stuck between Russia and America.
And instead of like being able to leverage this weird existence,
they're constantly diminishing their quality of life because of their vassalized status.
to call on world leaders to choose international order once again over what he described as
the law of the jungle. But who does he mean?
President Macron, which countries have descended to the law of the jungle? Which countries
were you talking about? No doubt some names on his mind he would rather not say out loud.
Like what are you afraid of dog your career your political career is over you could deliver a banger speech right you could just be like America is the great devil it would really boost the credibility of your party you know what I mean
Europe's getting Eiffel Towered, always.
I wonder if the capital's class isn't internationally fucking over Europe because the left constantly
references them as an example of Leather's policy.
I don't know about that.
I think they're fucking over Europe because it's a target-rich environment.
It's an opportunity to generate more profit.
That's it.
International capital just operates with one thing in mind, with one purpose in mind,
which is the maximization of profits.
A thousand miles away, smoke still hangs over key,
and the values of the institution designed to maintain international peace
couldn't feel further away.
Well, a short time ago, I spoke to David...
You have to remember, international capital is faceless, lifeless, is parasitic.
There's no nation-state that bounds them, right?
They can travel freely wherever they want to.
They can live wherever they want to.
And wherever they live, they will have a pretty high quality of life, all things considered, especially in relation to the rest of the world and in relation to the rest of the rest of the people living in any given area.
The Kylie Jenner
Private jet vlog comes to mind. Okay.
look no further than that viral video that she put out to truly comprehend how
these people live their lives, right? They can go wherever they want, they have
their own private jets, they can live anywhere and everywhere. Doesn't matter
if people's lives are getting worse, right?
The band is head of the International Rescue Committee and serves as Foreign
Secretary under Gordon Brown. I put it to him that as President Macron has said,
international institutions were losing out to the law of the jungle right now.
Yes, this is why I call it an age of impunity. That's 65 wars. That's more than
at any time since World War II. There's 300...
Is this Ed's brother or something? Or the Brits in the chat? Or did they just happen to have
the same last name million people in humanitarian need even before the Iran war started in February
so the statistics will tell you that this is an age when might is replacing right and that is
very very dangerous that the man who is most undermining it is Donald Trump and we saw Andy
Burnham getting on with him and not having any dramas but in some ways sort of you know bowing
to the idea of David Miliband, his younger brother is Ed Miliband, the British political
figures. Ed Miliband's dad was a Marxist interestingly enough. Yes, I know. I've read
some of his works on Israel. He had an interesting opinion. I mean, they're Jewish originally
from Poland and their father was, their father is not the actual like big die-hard anti-Zionist,
their mother was, from what I understand. I've asked around a little bit with people who know
them very well. People who have had a close and intimate relationship with both the Miliband's
Miliband's parents and the mom. Mama Miliband was a huge anti-Zionist. Papa Miliband on the other hand,
I mean he was very critical of Israel, but he was like, he still believed that there was a pathway
towards like a binational commitment or whatever. Obviously, I mean if he was alive today, his
his calculation would probably be closer to what you hear from many people like Avi Shalame,
you know, who start off as Zionists and then basically give up on the endeavor altogether.
Anyway, let's see.
Viewing Chey Goss helping in the Middle East with Saudi Arabia, is that the right way to
go about dealing with people who are trying to undermine the international rules-based
order?
Well, I think that the Prime Minister's cut rather...
Yeah, it is kind of funny that both David and Ed Miliband's parents were like super woke, Marxist, and incredibly critical.
Ralph Miliband, I believe, was a trot. If I'm not mistaken, he was a Marxist sociologist and the mom was also a diehard, you know, diehard advocate
for the Palestinians and now these guys are like, you know, in British politics.
Anyway, let's move on.
I don't want to hear from the second Miliband, you know.
I mean, thought has history too.
That's why scholarships are so important, you know, one.
How can I make sure my kids don't turn out to be conservatives?
I mean, the thing is, they're not conservative.
It's just that, from where we're standing,
yes, they are conservative.
But from the perspective of even the previous labor
government, I mean, the fact that they even took out
sanctions on Israel, even if it's symbolic,
even if it's toothless, is a pretty big step
in the right direction.
Now, let's just say I've had some conversations with people
in British politics.
And they found it very, they found it interesting
that the American government had nothing
to say about the Miliband sanctions against Israel.
So they identified the same thing that we saw here as well.
And I, too, found that interesting
that if you remember when Marco Rubio was asked about these sanctions, he basically didn't
say anything. I mean, he all but confirmed it, right? He all but supported it pretty
much. Very interesting stuff.
Well, shows President Trump at a record low in terms of his approval rating, but that
only tells part of the story because as bad as that sounds, there might be worse.
With us now, CNN chief data analyst, Harriet.
And so he's talking about that overall number that's bad.
You look below that and there's some wow here.
There are some stunning numbers and I want to talk about independence, but independence
who don't lean towards either the Democratic or Republican party so called.
Yeah.
Donald Trump's support is collapsing.
I mean, independents are completely out.
President Trump from echelon, independence only.
President Trump approved, amongst independents, the 18%.
This approvals at 81%.
Lowest approval in either term.
It's now officially worse than right after January 6th,
which was his lowest point.
This is now historically at a low point.
It's lower than George W. Bush admits the financial crisis.
This is historic levels of unpopularity.
And it's really interesting because the entire midterm strategy for the Republican party was the hugging kids Donald Trump and attack me.
A powerless Twitch streamer.
So the operatives are in meltdown mode. It's understandable. A lot of people are basically deleting Donald Trump references from their websites like Byron Donald did that.
He's the one running for the governor's position in Florida.
And it's really funny to think that Byron Donald's last-ditch effort to delete Trump
references to his website are going to cause people to forget that he is a Trump loyalist
through and through for the duration of his political career.
I don't know what these guys are thinking.
I don't know what they were thinking.
You could have seen the writing on the wall a long time ago that Donald Trump and this
affiliations association was going to be devastating for people's political careers.
I think this is going to crater and collapse the Republican Party.
But once again, Democrats will probably still find a way, nevertheless, to snatch defeat
from the jaws of victory.
and in this circumstance, the defeat would not necessarily mean a Republican majority
in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, but more so a blue tsunami turning
into a blue wave instead.
Because right now, at a time of unprecedented unpopularity for the ruling party that controls
every aspect of American governance, the expectation, if you had a competent anti-Trump
coalition party, a competent anti-Trump party, would mean a blue tsunami, like explosive growth,
never seen before. You know, people winning races in states that are deep red, right? Angie Nixon
in Florida, the governor's race in Florida. That's what the expectation is, right? Democrats,
on the other hand, have done a fairly bad job of navigating this situation and part of that
is because we are unfortunately disunited. Democrats are not united at all. As a matter
of fact, many prominent Democrats, many establishment Democrats, are looking at the writing on the
wall and leaning into the Republican attacks. They have no alternative to the Iran War.
It's disgusting. It's very frustrating. They don't have a unified message that they are
They're getting behind that says we're going to stop this ceaseless militarism, we're going
to hold Israel accountable for goading us into war with Iran, for doing a genocide with
our tax dollars, and for demanding additional censorship and the like.
They're not saying we have a plan to change the American trajectory to a positive one
like with Medicare for All and expansion of social safety nets that we will be able to
generate resources for by scaling back our militarism.
None of that is happening, right?
Instead, the Democrats are predictably falling for the Republican bait because they want
to fall for it.
And many top-level establishment Democrats are actively leaning into the Republican
media frenzy.
I tweeted about this the other day and I want to refer to it one more time.
I want to mention this one more time. We are going to look back at this period
and laugh, hopefully, about how unbelievably stupid everyone's being. At the end of this
midterm media frenzy, we will look back at how hilariously online the GOP machine was for hyper
focusing on a Twitch streamer during an unprecedented economic crisis, born out of a catastrophic
war of choice, Trump waged at the behest of a pariah state, Israel.
Think about that.
Think about how stupid that is.
Just try to pull yourself out of the immediate moment for a second and just close your eyes
and imagine it's November 11th, right?
couple days past the midterm elections being over. Think about how stupid it was that the
Republican Party thought that their banger, that their banger midterm strategy was wall-to-wall
coverage against the random unknown Twitch streamer with no power whatsoever. Okay.
Okay.
Totally ridiculous.
Republicans privately say they're doomed in the midterms, according to MSNOW, yeah.
2026 midterms will be a referendum on Hassanabi. Yeah
Now, of course, it's only it has only been a media story because
Liberal media has also leaned into this madness
So, it's not like they should be left unscathed in the process when we do a real autopsy of
what happened, what took place, right?
It's totally, totally ridiculous.
Trump has now the lowest net approval of any president at this point or earlier in the
presidency since polling began in 1945.
now more than 10 points worse than both his own first term and
Biden's at the same point. We are reaching unprecedented
levels of unpopularity. Now, having said that, having said
that, like I, like I maintain, never discount the Democratic
Party's ability to destroy a good thing. Okay. This all size
point to this being a blue tsunami year. I don't predict that it will be a blue tsunami.
I think it'll probably be a blue wave. And the only reason why it'll be a blue wave is because
Democrats are also leaning into the silly narratives concocted by the Republicans instead of
presenting a unified front, demonstrating a clear cut agenda of vision, a policy prescription
to the anger and resentment people are feeling.
So just remember,
never forget the Democratic Party's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
So let's take a look.
Here are independence and these numbers and the shift from where we were back in
twenty twenty four.
I mean, look at these numbers.
And this is an average of two different polls.
Pure independent voters on Trump versus Kamala Harris.
when you average the CES and Pube Validated Voter Survey,
he beat, he beat, Donald Trump become a Harris by 15 points.
Look at his net approval rating now with pure independence,
those who don't lead towards either the Democratic or Republican Party.
It's negative 71 points.
I mean, these are the deep depths of the ocean.
You never see numbers like these.
This is Johnny B. What is this?
This is an 86 point shift away from the president of the United States.
with the group that ultimately really does determine elections as pure independence go
Usually so goes the nation and right now Donald Trump is at depths that truly you rarely ever see
I mean 86 points 86
Almost impossible to conceive a number bigger than that in terms of a swing except accept
What if you ask pure independence about Donald Trump and the economy?
Okay, look at this. This is a 99 point shift. What do we talk about? Pure independence, Trump and the economy versus Kamala Harris?
He was more trusted on the economy by 22 points. That's why pure independent voters decided to vote for Donald Trump and put it back in the White House for a second term.
Look at these numbers now though. His net approval rating is minus 77 points. It's minus 77 points. In fact, I was looking at our CNN poll.
The voter approval rating for Donald Trump was like seven percent seven percent
That's what we were talking about here now again
This is an average of the polls, but if you just look at that one
It's like seven percent seven percent that is literally this that is really this when you can put approval ratings on your two hands
And you're not even taking up the full two hands
You know it is low a 70. It's a 99 point shift and now at negative
77 points and it's not just one poll. I'm averaging multiple surveys here. Oh my
I mean, you run out of adjectives here to describe how big this shift is.
It's unbelievable.
All right.
Gas prices also a big deal right now.
They've gone up so much in the last month.
What are people saying?
What are the pure independence?
What are the pure independence?
What is driving this number?
What is driving these numbers to the deep depths of hell as far as you are concerned
if you're Republican, you're running for reelection this fall?
It's gas prices.
It's gas prices.
Look at this.
Pure independence.
Trump. Just 8 percent, just 8 percent approved. Look at this, 92 percent, 92 percent of pure
independence disapproved of Donald Trump on gas prices. We have seen this disapproverating
hitting record levels with the electorate overall. We've seen the gas prices go up,
and you've literally seen the odds that Republicans are able to hold on to control in the United
States Senate decline as those gas prices have gone one way, those chances for Republicans
Americans holding on to the United States Senate have gone the other way, and as pure
independents that are driving this, 92% near uniformity, I was going to say, you know,
for pure independence, this isn't all, but it's almost all.
It is almost all.
When you get 8% of folks agreeing on something, that is below the percentage of the Americans
who actually think the moon landing was fake, and of course, that was very real.
Therein.
Thank you very much.
Thank you, my friend.
Kate.
for CNN, David Chalion, back with us, to break down these numbers even further.
And you do, I almost need to walk through them slowly myself, because the change, especially
from 2018, it's startling.
Yeah, because remember, Donald Trump was not all that popular in 2018 either, but he was
on that number one issue of the economy that was still a sort of a card he could play no
longer.
that 33% approval rating that is a historic low across both terms, according to our brand
new poll from SSRS.
And when you look at the intensity behind the approval-disapproval Kate, a majority
of Americans in our poll, 51%, say they strongly disapprove, not just disapprove, but strongly
disapprove.
And his strong approvers has been cut in half in just the last year and a half.
down to 13% only who say they strongly approve. You mentioned the issue set. I mean, look
at the bottom here. Inflation, 20% approval. The Iran War, 26%. The economy, number one
issue by far, 27%. Middle class, 28%. These are the issues that are driving voters and
they are the president's worst issues in the poll.
What does this say about the fight for Congress?
Kate, you know, I mean, we've never, we've never seen anything like it, man.
We've never seen anything like it.
I'm glad that I was able to strike while the iron is hot and have our community make a very
significant impact because if we were to have left electoralism in the hands of the blue dog
Democrats. I swear to God they would have done something to fuck this up. I'm so
glad we had a lasting impact in this cycle so far and now we're in the
beginning phases of building real political power in this country that
will go beyond what the Democrats have previously presented as what's possible.
Now, let's talk about the real panic coming from Republican pollsters and Republican consultants.
Yesterday, Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in a
plus 15 district, you're within the margin of error.
if you're in a plus 10 district, you're underwater,
and that this might be the end
being an even worse midterm environment than 2006.
I slept on whether to share this publicly
because I don't wanna cause anyone a black pill.
But this morning, I ultimately decided
the truth should be shared
while there are still six weeks left
to do something about it for the good of the country.
Because if the environment is this bad in my home state
where Trump has been the most popular political figure
over the last decade,
I can't imagine where it is everywhere else.
Whatever we're doing or not doing in Iran slash Hormuz
has become a 2020 COVID level lockdown,
a level of political albatross.
This is approaching tarp bailout levels of unpopular
in my home state.
We're risking what's left of the Trump presidency on this
because if Democrats take control
of the legislative branch,
the Trump domestic agenda we all voted for
will largely cease between what a Democrat Congress will do
and the courts have already been doing.
Now, what's really funny about this argument is that part of the reason why Donald Trump is this unpopular is because Donald Trump has followed through on the agenda that he promised.
This is what you get when Republicans are in charge of everything.
Deep unpopularity.
Okay.
So for him to turn around and say, Iowans, we have to get out and vote.
Because if we don't do that, then we won't get more of what you've gotten that has led to this level of unpopularity is very funny.
If I was in his shoes, I wouldn't be reminding people of Trump's agenda and accomplishments, okay?
I would not be doing that.
Because if Democrats take control over the legislative branch, they'll unwind Trump's domestic agenda. It's like, yeah, dog,
he fucked it. That's why he's unpopular.
Not to mention what it will cost individual states like my own, which we worked so hard to make, so read these last one years of Trump's help.
This, whatever kind of sort of, but not really war, has become an existential misuse of political capital.
Many of us never thought it was worth it, and more and more voters
agree.
We have to save our own country and our own way of life first before we can save anyone else
We have to save America before we can save the world of a plane is endangered
You are
What's up?

I used to be. Put your mushroom stamp on the DNC headquarters. I need this laugh. Yeah,
put my dick on the table. This is funny. Liquidate those cool hocks, Mr. President. I owe a farmer
paying 75 grand more every month for DL. Combines are out and about at Pheasant Ridge
It's about $90 an hour now, and a year ago it's $45 an hour.
Donald Trump said the Kulaks are reactionary, they're hoarding grain, we must liquidate them.
Collectivization is imminent.
Okay?
Donald Trump says we have to rapidly industrialize, we have to rapidly engage in collectivization,
and the Kulaks are an impediment, a significant impediment in the face of progress.
We must liquidate them.
We must throw them in the gulags, and we must take all of their grains.
The diesel owner Dan Peterson buys is more expensive than ever.
But instead of rapid industrialization in an effort to develop a base to fight back
against the Nazi scourge, we are instead rapidly industrializing, forcing the gulags into the
gulags to do what?
To build the ballroom.
Yes.
You guessed it.
beautiful ballroom. That's right. It's not just the combines. This corn grinder runs all day too.
Now the prices of our grains have went up so that's helped some. Now I know I said level 10 hype

And I'm not counting our trucks that are on the road, you know, like we had two trucks
on the way to Canada.
My name is Tom, thank you for the 10th year we're giving us subs.
They'll have another $400 higher because of fuel costs.
Peterson says he gets a better rate on diesel than truckers. Still, the national average
for regular gas is up 41% compared to a year ago. For diesel, it's 76% according to AAA.
I just wish they would get that deal settled over in the Middle East. It's going to have to
happen sometime because another year of this and the economy. What the fuck is this? Donald Trump
says Maynard Dubiswan. Donald Trump, I voted for you and I love you, but we are not oil and gas
independent. We are having a hard time getting diesel fuel for the shrimp boats
in Alabama. Thumbs up, Mr. President. Please fix it.
Drometheus, thank you for the 10 gift it serves. Like I said, we read level 10 hop

Hop-Tran, we're purchasing it for the people.
This is not good for a Maynard Dubisans shrimp boats
in Alabama.
I love, I love this guy.
and everything can't handle this. You know, I don't think you can handle it two or three
more months. Peterson feels the direct impact from the record diesel prices, but he says
he knows it doesn't end there. We just need to get fuel prices cheaper because everybody
uses it. Everything gets hauled and it just the trickle down effect is tremendous.
Wall Street Journal says MAGA podcasters are turning tuning out Trump. We track what they're
talking about now. Wall Street Journal analyzed nearly 70,000 hours of pockets using a new AI
tool. I was about to say, if a human being listened to 70,000 hours of Trump podcast,
they probably would kill themselves. I suspect an AI tool would probably also kill itself
in the process. I don't think anything living, non-living, can possibly listen to 70,000 hours
of Trump, pro-Trump, pro-Maga output without somehow committing Sudoku.
Committing Sudoku.
Yeah.
Holy shit.
Trump mentions per hour on political podcasts, peaked at the 2024 election, dipped right
after liberal podcasts kept up at similar levels.
podcasts have been declining and declining at an exceptional rate since the beginning
of the Iran War. This is probably the least surprising turn of events. Part of the reason
why is I also, what did I tell you? What did I tell you? What the fuck did I tell you when
talking about Asmongold. Eventually, the fever is going to go away. There's only so much.
Trump dick-eating you can engage in. Many of these people do not have a real investment
the Trumpian cause. They don't. Many of them are simply leaning into the or were leaning
into the perceived popularity of MAGA. You understand? And once that perceived popularity
collapses because, you know, Trump went in and did the Trumpian shit, okay?
What is the expectation?
Asmus community moved on to terrorize the new WoW game?
Yeah, they'll get kicked out of there too.
I have a feeling that Roach King is gonna cut politics in November, come World of Warcraft
for ever launch. Yeah, he's gonna move on to greener pastures,
he's gonna move on and command his unwashed incel army to
destroy something else, right?
You

Um, status also went in, uh, tracked down the source, uh, that was behind the ban
for political. The anonymous source behind one of the stories in the White
House cited the justify banning political was none other than Vice President
JD Vance that has learned. Anyway, let's talk about how their right is losing their purchase
and their command over. Wait, oh, oh my god, oh my god, it's go talk. Sorry, we're going to stop
everything. It's go talk. It's go talk. Go as far as China's concerned. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.
American farm. Oh my god. It's the beat a lot of their soy too. Let's go. Let's go
I was really tired earlier, but now I feel refreshed
Rarely ever do you see the two go for space face the face
Andrews is the small talk takes place in temperatures by the shoulder and
and Luke's very cordial.
Donald Trump calls President Xi a friend.
He is a president who wants,
who covets a relationship with the Chinese leader.
Who would a president who wants much from the Chinese leader
and will seek to achieve that over the course
of the next 36 hours, much on the agenda.
I can't believe I'm like only a couple hundred miles away from Xi Jinping right now war that
may well be a source.
I guess technically that was the case when I was in Beijing as well very in mind that
it's reported China has supplied intelligence to Iran that has resulted in President Xi
please save us please save us President Xi please save us Iran's number one trading
partner, despite the fact the United States, is keen to exert pressure on
countries around the world to step up sanctions on Tehran. Keen for countries
to do that but reluctant to put pressure on China. I wonder if behind closed doors
Trump will take that step. He hasn't thus far, much to the frustration of his
critics and to people who are far more hawkish on China and on President Xi than the image
represented there of an American president, very cordial, extending a very warm welcome
to President Xi, the leader of the Chinese.
Do you think Xi or people close to him know who you are?
No.
The military are lined up.
We will hear the national anthem.
Why would they know who I am?
the welcome party
there is a fair degree of hatchetry here there will be

president he will make his way along that red carpet ruled out
dog we are told
jijun ping
is the most powerful leader on the planet
currently
okay let's be real i would say like probably equivalent tower or maybe
marginally more power than america at this point
due to the manufacturing capabilities of China.
Okay.
And he's also responsible for 1.4 billion Chinese people.
Why the fuck would he know who I am?
Donald Trump has only briefly mentioned me.
I guess now that I think about it,
the most powerful,
the two most powerful leaders on the planet are currently talking to one another and one
of them has this past week mentioned me by name.
So I guess it's not that crazy to think about.
I forget that we are living through very strange times.
But no, I don't think Xi Jinping knows who I am.
I would assume, you know, I don't even think Trump remembers who I am.
I think he was like told to bring me up one time just because they think it's gonna help in the midterms
And yet Donald Trump remains very keen to style him as a friend of America
And I think we see this very much is the vision visual representation
Yeah, America is gonna be coming to me in a couple years to be like this on
You have consistently advocated for better relations with China
China, you have built quite the following in China. Can you please be our envoy to China?
Can you please be our ambassador to China? And hopefully we'll be able to normalize relations
with China. The way things are going, that's what I predict. We'll take place in the next
decade or so. The Billy Hassan, please. Special envoy Hassan Piker. To the Alexandria Ocasio
Cortez administration, special envoy to the people's republics of China.
All of the U.S. national anthem are playing now.
Back in three days.
They're gonna ask Xi if he condemns me.
I'm sure he's gonna be like, if we're maxing out trade, yes, fuck it, I'll give them some like...
Have you heard of China's ambassador? Definitely knows who you are. No, he does. He follows me on Twitter.
I know that China's ambassador knows who I am.
That's a very different person than Xi Jinping.
visits, official visits, unless there is a major agreement out there very, very often.
What the fuck was that face? I mean, you know, you've got to say we do. Wait, she didn't
even... Blinch, look at this.
State that...
We've got Trump as the greatest person that I've ever seen. This is nothing more than
is appropriate. Overall, I frankly, I think state visits, official visits, unless there
is a major agreement, I would very, very often agree with that.
Oh my God. Oh my God. Fucking mug! Trump, it's your air show. How do you get scared
at your air show she is falling asleep motherfucker he's like oh whatever yeah you got
put his hand down and everything you're gonna say we do these things better in this country
i should say i feel a bit sorry for for missus she there are some people who will object to
him appearing to be friendly with with with the leader of a country he is always portrayed as a
as an adversary in the strongest terms but you know such as the positional they have to cooperate
with each other and you know I think Donald Trump is an asset he's been a little bit on the side
and now Xi Jinping to show himself to be calm and steady and predictable on the global stage
and he Xi Jinping sees himself as an equal. Do you think sort of offering in the the curses that
that weren't extended to President Trump when he visited China.
Do you think that indicates that Xi Jinping has the upper hand at this point in time in the relationship?
What question is this? Of course they have the fucking upper hand.
Look at what Trump has done to the entire planet.
There is no question who has the upper hand in this moment.
I'm telling you Xi Jinping is going to ask Donald Trump in November to come to the Asia-Pacific
Economic Conference.
Okay?
And Donald Trump is most likely going to go to that conference.
Because this is a one for one.
Trump goes to Beijing.
She comes to Washington.
And because it's a one-to-one trade-off, and China is not exactly fond of multilateral
relations at this stage, because America does not care about it at all, they're engaging
in bilateral commitments, right?
So basically what's going to happen is they're going to talk about trade, they're going
talk about export controls. Obviously a big ask from the American side that the Chinese side has
said they are willing to abide by is no longer having restrictions on rare earth minerals and
magnets and the like. The Chinese side has actually wanted a long-term commitment till the end
of the Trump administration. So for the next two years, the American side did not abide by that.
they said, no, we should do a six-month lowering of export restrictions. Not exactly certain what
the calculation is there on the American front, but ultimately anyone that looks at the situation
and thinks, oh, this is not an upper hand for a significant moment of leverage for the Chinese side
is delusional. One cool thing I wanted to tell you guys, by the way, notice that that plane back
there, says Air China on it. That's unique. Xi Jinping does not have an Air Force One
style presidential plan. Did you guys know that? No leader of the Communist Party of China
flies on a private jet. What they actually do is retool commercial jets from Air China
China, right before there is a real voyage that's about to take place.
In that cool, it is a deliberate choice that the People's Republic of China and the Communist
Party of China makes.
It's a state-owned enterprise, and it doesn't fly with additional protection or anything
like that.
It is a purely commercial airliner airplane and they retool it before heads of state
fly around in them, but that's how they do it for the record.
So if you have ever flown on air China, you could have flown in the same exact jet that
Xi Jinping or previous Chinese leaders have flown in.
In that wild, if you've ever flown in an air China, embarrassing.
I got so excited that my autism perked up and I forgot my command over the English language.
I apologize.
I am fucking illiterate.
Shut up.
Did you see Donald Trump's face when these B-1 bombers flew?
Yes.
I mean, they were extremely loud.
I couldn't hear Adam when they flew.
Yeah, they found out Adam in my ear.
That's how well they were.
But Donald Trump, his face creased and he clenched his teeth.
You can just see this vision of fear, actually.
And I tell you, my mortgage is on that being the defining
image of today.
And I wonder if I'll be the defining image of the trip.
Trump clenched in fear, standing beside that.
You know president she story faced story hearted as
No, what president Trump bro when you guys guy was just glazing the big dog
It's fucking over. I
Mean, is it even legal for sky news to say something positive about Xi Jinping and negative about Trump at the same time?
What kind of world are we living in dude?
It's over
Tony face is a really positive. No, he says aura. He's saying Xi Jinping demonstrated maximum aura. Cold, calculated.
Not even in the moment. Not even living in the moment because guess what? He's thinking in centuries. Okay? In his mind, he's in 20, he's in 2126. Right?
He's not here right now. Xi Jinping, he's thinking about, you know, China's 50th five-year plan. Okay?
Trump, on the other hand, living in the moment. Scared, terrified, thinking in quarters. Thinking in quarterly returns.
She's shimping, thinking in decades, thinking in centuries.
Total woman victory is coming out against you.
The fuck?
Cornell University students for Justice Palestine invited Hasan Piker to speak on campus tomorrow.
They have yet to respond, urgent and the rescind.
Feminism advocates for a free Palestine, we are alarmed.
Wait, what?
Advocates for a free Palestine.
What is this dog?
This has two likes.
What the fuck are you?
Bro, I swear to God, some of you have literal mental disabilities.
OK.
Some of you have genuine mental disabilities
where you're like, this is very clearly a federal agent trying to engage in the active rage bait.
Let's put this on the fucking forefront.
Let's put this on the biggest podium they have ever actually had.
And let's give them exactly what they want.
If you see something that is entirely designed to invoke some kind of angry response,
but it has two likes before you post it in this chat and decide to put it
on the most prominent platform it will ever see.
Turn off your computer immediately, okay?
Like in that moment of panic, in that moment of panic, okay?
When you're like, I need to get this in front of Hassan,
in front of 30,000 people and give it air,
give it legitimacy, just turn off your computer.
Take a deep breath, you know, walk outside,
walk around the block, right?
Maybe go get a coffee, call your mom, call your dad, call your loved ones, have a conversation
with them for the first time, you know?
Maybe take on smoking cigarettes, walk down to the bodega, walk down to the corner store,
purchase a pack of Marlboro Reds, and just smoke a couple of lung darts, two at a time,
three at a time.
But no matter what you do, don't post in the chat and make it seem like this is a super
significant event, okay?
You understand?
Also, mods banned that guy for a week for posting that idiotic nonsense.
If someone were to hypothetically try to set up that Orochi interview you mentioned earlier,
how should they contact you?
What do you mean?
There's a million different ways to contact me.
Through mediators, there are obviously people that have contacts within the Iranian government
currently like journalists that know me and have sources within the Iranian government.
That's one way to do it.
Direct email is another way to do it.
I have a business email on my Twitter.
Mediator bro acts like he's a CIA agent at the safe house.
Yes, there's like people,
there's people who are in between.
Are you rocking the Spike Spiegel fit on purpose
or is it a happy accident?
No, it's on purpose.
I love wearing this fit.
I can have them sit down at the gaming PC if you want to guest arm sure you look so fucking tough today I literally can't yeah I wore this this is my every day every day I'm blasting fits because
Because, you know, in the op chance that I get to interview Abbas Arakshi, the foreign minister of Iran, I have to show up, you know what I mean?
Because, like, I want him to see it. I want him to see me in my Sunday best.
That's why I'm blasting fits on a daily basis.
Brother, if you did that interview, they're deporting you. It's literally legal.
It is, I am a media figure, it is my God-given right and my constitutionally protected right
to interview the foreign minister of a foreign adversary.
Every media outlet has already conducted an interview.
I think it would be very interesting.
He speaks perfect English as well, so we wouldn't even need translators,
which is why I think it would be very cool.
Orochi was still Magu though. Probably. Bro, you are in New York City. Please do anything
to interview him. Yeah, let me go find his hotel and sit outside until Secret Service
assassinates me. Okay, I'll come clean. I'm actually Orochi.
to do an interview on one condition could you give me a VIP in your chat for it says megafaunix
uh no because if you are a rocky megafaunix after all these years and you didn't show up
to the fear and podcast san francisco leg of the tour then uh your revocation of the VIP status
This was worthwhile.
Text Mum Donnie and asked me to hit up Trump, to hit up Iraqi, first of all, the Mum Donnie,
the Mum Donnie admin literally got in trouble because apparently the Iranians were trying
to talk to them or something, that was big drama.
Also Mum Donnie was supposed to meet with the fucking Colombian president, former president
now, my goat, Gustavo, and Trump canceled that too.
But there's a difference.
Mamdani is in an office, I am a media person, so.
So, did that so-called generic congressional ballot, would you vote for the Democrat or
Republican in the House today, 8 point advantage for the Democrats, 49% say they'd vote for
the Democrat, 41% say they'd vote for Republicans, they only need a net gain of three seats.
This would probably do that.
Take a look at what's driving it, though.
Independence really are fleeing from the president.
That margin for the Democrats goes up to 11% when you just look at independent voters.
And among the most motivated to vote, Democrats have a 20-point advantage here.
You said Donald Trump is a major factor.
I do not recall seeing this in the last 20 years or so, where we ask folks, is the president
a factor in your vote?
Occasionally a plurality say sort of no the president's not a factor not so now 44% of the plurality here
So they're voting in the midterms to oppose Trump only 19% say their vote was this guy
Did Harry Emden get hit by the fat ray get him out of here? That's messed up dude
This I think he's like the chief
Political analyst at CNN if I'm not voting to support Trump Kate
it is
These are important numbers to look at especially this close to also everything that we say on this broadcast
I realized last night with all the conversations that I have with journalists
Who are coming up to me?
Literally every joke that I make about journalists on this broadcast gets back to them
Okay, like every single one. So there's zero percent chance that Harry Emden doesn't know who we are doesn't know who I am
Every single one there were New York Times supporters came up to me and they were like you covered my
You covered my piece on the broadcast one time, and it was awesome. Thank you so much like
There is a New York Times reporter who like goes on CNN at times. He's like yeah, you uh
You talked about me on your stream like they see everything
They know that this is like the media demon hour, okay, they know that I read everything I watch everything
I'm watching every fucking step that they're taking
Does he know we go wild when he says holy Toledo? Well considering he never says it
anymore, he might. So we gotta stop talking big shit.
Biggest platform for their content in one go? Yes.
people are saying i am the biggest article head in america do now the midterm and we
have even early in person voting happening in some states right now david it's great
to see you thank you so much for breaking that down for us john with us now is jake
tapper cnn washington correspondent chief washington correspondent anchor of the league
you know it's close to midterm season if we have cnn all-stars david chalion and jake
tapper back to anyone give you negative feedback at the party now
Yeah, I don't care about Jake Tapper. Yeah, I don't care about that.
On artificial intelligence, this is a summit of superpowers and super competitors.
There was a pre-meeting in New York at the weekend. Both sides, they came out of that,
talking about setting up a US-China-AI dialogue. America, it proposed a notification mechanism.
That would be something to warn each other if an AI incident threatened national security.
It's kind of ironic that China is way, way more careful with AI than we are from what
I understand at least like listening to all the American AI analysts.
Obviously their cope on it is that like China is really worried about rogue AI agents because
like it could threaten the party's power or whatever. That's like their way of coping with it.
I think the real thing that even Ezra Klein came to recognize when he was talking about China's
AI growth was that China looks at us as like a dangerous unstable madman on the planet
And they are desperate for international stability.
And when you got Ezra Klein going, and can you blame them for that assessment?
It's fucking over, right?
It's over.
Everyone on the planet looks at us like we are a belligerent country run by a fucking madman
who's hell bent on death and destruction and instability everywhere.
And the reality is it makes sense for them to feel that way
Because that's precisely what we are doing.
We are completely out of control.
Grades between this pair.
It's been war and peace.
If you look at that, China first row.
China, it retaliated against Donald Trump's tariffs
and Trump backed it down on the.
By the way, this was my biggest fucking lock that left that was virtually unnoticed
But as a Western analyst
From day one frame one, I told you liberation day was going to go a certain way and
Every single person was like a sign. No, you're fucking talking about this is gonna be great for us
Oh, you're a leftist, but you don't like tariffs like what do you mean?
you don't like trade protectionism. I called it day one. I told you exactly. And I was
having arguments with other analysts privately. Okay. I was having arguments in private with
people who were telling me like, no, this is going to punish China way more than it
punishes America. This is America's direct shot across the bow. China is going to, you
know, they're going to decouple from China or China is going to come back to the table
Begging for a better deal. I told them no I
Told them over and over again fuck no that's not what's happening. What's gonna happen is exactly what ended up happening
China is gonna push back
China has a lot more leverage in this situation than we think they do and
China is going to use that leverage and China is going to say we're doing export
We're doing strategic export controls, you know, hit them with the nuclear option for
trade, and then America is going to be forced to back away.
Lo and behold, that's precisely what happened.
I also said China will come back with an olive branch to make it seem like they were willing
to play ball with America, but only after a period of instability that shows the rest
of the world that China is actually invested in global stability and to show the rest of
America's trade partners that America is invested in instability. Once again, also what happened.
Exactly what happened. This is why you pay me the big books at the Piker Broadcasting Service
for tomorrow's news today. For reasonable analysis. Only because I don't have an American exceptionalist
bias that unfortunately clouds many people's judgment in the West.
Back of that, it is an emboldened Chinese leader who comes to Washington, D.C. The existing
agreement on trade, that's due to run out in November. There's every chance we will
see that extended. It is a fragile truce. Both men need it to continue. Both have got
their economic troubles at home.
The subject of Iran is awkward, while America wages war on the country, China remains its
number one trading partner.
That undermines US-driven sanctions against Tehran.
Without China on board, the sanctions don't bite like they could.
The United States, for the record, I also told you that that secondary sanctions being
implemented on China was also, I mean on Iran, was never going to target China. I was right about
that as well. That was another thing that the American government threatened against Iran,
and it was just simply to posture against China. That went nowhere. China has come out time and
time again. Their foreign ministry has said China does not abide by unilateral illegal
trade restrictions, China is invested in trade maxing, we will continue selling treats to
everyone in abundance. So that was also another flub from the American side. Now the reason
why I'm mentioning all this is because every step of the way we have postured against China
aggressively as we possibly can and every step of the way that is yielded
nothing nothing at all it has left us less secure okay states it hasn't
pressured Beijing to get tough Taiwan is the perennial issue China's claim to
the island territory I want the United States is cuddly he did make a
commitment. There's $14 billion of previously $14 billion in weapons that have already been
sold to Taiwan that have not been sent to Taiwan. Donald Trump has actually stopped the transfers
of weapons to Taiwan. That was a huge gimme for China as well. Trump basically caved on that,
too. That's a huge deal. Putting together a new arms deal for Taiwan. President Xi
He's expected to ask Donald Trump not to look out for the language used on the island. The Chinese certainly will
When Trump met she in Beijing this year Donald Trump
He said that she asked him if he would defend Taiwan should China attack and that he gave no direct answer
China feels strengthened by the Donald Trump era. He's a president who has strained
traditional alliances around the world and created a distrust amongst the
traditional partners including those who buttressed US interests in the Asia
Pacific. An isolationist, unpredictable America has allowed China to present as
the stable superpower with an enhanced global standing. That's certainly how
Beijing sees it. Throwing the Iranian conflict and the removal of the only US
aircraft carrier in the Pacific. Here's the thing. China has been on an
upwards trajectory for decades at this point, constant growth. It already, it
already holds control over so much of the global manufacturing. That is a
tremendous amount of power, right? This was an inevitability. Having said that, Donald
Trump's actions, Donald Trump's actions, especially in the second term, have accelerated
that timeline dramatically. And all I will say is this, I'm not going to get into like
racist tropes and say this is a Manchurian candidate situation. But if there ever was
a Manchurian candidate, would he do anything different than Donald Trump? Like think about
it. If somehow, magically, China was able to hypnotize someone who ran for office and
won power, what would they do differently than what Trump has done so far? Destroying
all goodwill with our allies. Destroying American military supremacy around the world. Causing
tremendous amounts of chaos, both on the on the the trade front and in the field of battle,
making the rest of the globe for the first time ever since the inception of the People's Republic
of China, making everyone lean into China for the first time ever, as opposed to the United
States of America. What would Trump do any differently? A man
sharing Canada with a tag Israel. Why? Isn't this far better?
There is such a there is there is such a thing as too much
instability.
Sound less stupid? Sure. But even his stupidity is helpful. Because it makes it, it highlights.
It highlights, his stupidity highlights Xi Jinping as an elderly statesman who's far
more invested in stability at the global stage. So even his language aids China's rise.
And we do see a shifting backdrop to a changing relationship against which we will assess any
any power shift.
I'm currently having it my.
Yeah.
Magged.
Magged.
Hate to see it.
Stone Cold G. Okay, if I can't get an interview with Abbas Arakshi, I would love to get an interview with with the Chinese Foreign Minister. How about that?
How about that? I am available. I'm on the East Coast.
Just kidding. They're in DC, from what I understand. Because of the pre-existing lobbying rules and shit, Washington DC and the federal government is way more aggro with foreign envoys talking to American citizens specifically in Washington DC as opposed to New York City.
Lula would have talked to you? Yeah, that's not happening.
Coffee made by an AI driven robot.
Apparently it uses AI to remember my preferences and make suggestions such as how much caffeine
I should have. It might feel like a bit of a gimmick, but it's a really good example
of not just how present, but how increasingly visible AI is in China.
in China, a society so front-footed about accepting digitalisation.
But quirky consumerism aside, where is China at in the AI race?
How is it positioning itself?
And crucially, is it going to be willing to cooperate with the US on the issue of AI governance?
Not long ago, it was considered that China was a few years behind the US in its AI development,
But no longer, in fact, on certain metrics such as global adoption, cost efficiency and
certainly robotics, it's actually considered to be pulling ahead.
China had what could be known as a second mover advantage, learning from those that
came before it.
And while the US probably still has the edge, there is lots of evidence that the Chinese
approach is working.
This place gives you a pretty good idea of how China...
I think the implementation of AI being widely welcomed in China
as opposed to being terrifying as a development in America
speaks to the difference between a command economy
and one that is entirely in the hands of private profiteers.
I would go so far as say that our profit seekers
have also created tremendous amounts of vaccine hesitancy,
for example, when you don't have public healthcare,
People develop a lot of skepticism towards, you know,
private health care, pharmaceutical corporations.
There's this attitude in the United States
that, well, these guys are just trying to sell me a cure
that's not gonna cure me at all.
It's gonna kill me.
And I think there's a similar wavelength in China
and many other developing nations
in the way that they actually view AI
as becoming an increasing component in their lives.
AI in China is a monopolized by massive private corporations
tons of little companies, but it's outside of that. There is like, I think about this quite a bit.
I think there is this overall attitude that the state will keep it under control no matter what,
right? I think that's what it is. At the end of the day, the average Chinese citizen has this
understanding that Chinese prosperity is the primary goal of Chinese governance, and therefore,
any kind of technological initiative, any kind of technological improvement,
will come at the cost of labor displacement, certainly, but the government will inevitably
handle that. At least there's a lot of confidence in the government to be able to handle that.
That's the major difference.
Economists in China, even those closest to the state, have openly warned that the government
is pouring too many resources into the technology, creates relatively few jobs while doing
too little to save the broader economy. And it's an economy in crisis. The country's youth
unemployment rate excluding students reached 18.9% in August. Consumers are now spending.
During the first half of the year, domestic car sales fell markedly 20% from a year earlier,
and housing sales fell another 14%. These are really economic problems in China, by the way.
I've talked about this quite a bit. And housing sales fell another 14%
adding years of decline. The country is in a deflationary spiral. This summer,
the economy's warnings became a chorus. Li Daokui, a former advisor of the
country's central bank and a professor at Tsinghua University, said in July that
China's economy was running too cold as booming high-tech sectors, he said, cannot
lift the larger base. We cannot look only at GDP growth, he said, in a speech in
March. What mattered, he argued, was China's growing hard power and its
development of advanced industries. In Mr. Xi's view, slower growth does not necessarily
signify failure if technological advancement proceeds upward step by step.
Rather than boosting household disposable income with cash or shopping vouchers or expanding
social safety net, as many economists have suggested, ironically enough that can be very
helpful, Mr. Xi believes that state-led technological rollouts will modernize traditional industries
and unlock future economic value. But those gains could take years to materialize. In
The crisis is similar to what China is facing.
Many governments would use stimulus to create jobs, Mr. Xu said.
When people have jobs, he said, they spend more, creating a positive economic feedback
loop.
Instead, Beijing is concentrating its investment in AI technology that may exacerbate high
unemployment by reducing demand for workers.
Some Chinese internet users are already calling the investment rush an AI great leap forward,
invoking Mao Zedong's disastrous campaign of politically driven industrialization.
More broadly fascinating that the same thing we're seeing with AI in the U.S. is happening
China with just Chinese characteristics, the state encouraging massive investment in this tech,
even as the real economy struggles, and even as its benefits are unclear.
Yeah, if this crisis wasn't already an issue, if this crisis wasn't already an issue, I think
people would be far less reluctant. But by and large, by and large, the attitude around AI in
And China is far more positive as far as I've seen than the attitude around AI in the United
States of America.
China sees its AI industry.
This is a data center right in the center of Beijing, built, they say, to actively be
transparent.
Fundamentally, China is positioning its industry as an open, globally accessible AI model,
in contrast with the US, which it sees as dominated by secrecy and restrictions for
outside users. It's been talking about itself as a team player, a leader in global governance
for far longer than the US tech bros have. At this year's World AI Conference in Shanghai,
it also introduced a new intergovernmental regulatory body, which it got 29 countries
across the global south to sign up to. Just listen to what Xi Jinping said about it.
This can ensure that artificial intelligence always remains under human control, that's right, I speak fluent Chinese.
Guys, don't worry, I'll translate what Xi Jinping is saying for you, okay?
It's important to remember that China sees risk differently.
The same week that the US was warning about the potential elimination of mankind, China's
top spy chief was warning about how it poses a threat to Communist Party rule.
System stability is central to the thinking here, and the US need to try and understand
that and the fact that China sees its models as a challenge.
This is just shit articles on it's literally China collapse law.
China's economy is far more invested in green energy and trade quarters than AI.
The Belt and Road is bigger than ever, and energy remains a dominant driver in spending.
Yes, except the youth unemployment thing is not wrong, it is real.
There is a crisis in overproduction of the professional managerial class, in overproduction
of educated young people entering the marketplace, and the Chinese government has yet to develop
a sector where they can place these people.
Unemployment is a real problem. It's been a real problem and it's only growing
In China and if the solution is you know go back to the factory. Well these a lot of these guys find that to be not so favorable
Youth unemployment is a huge deal in China anyone that says it's not is wrong
anyone else notice the sun has been acting a lot more capitalist lately says I a totally easy that's
because I am baby I love capitalism I love abundance I'm an abundance I love capitalism
what does Abdul say I hate corporatism I love capitalism I hate corporatism ridiculous I love
I love when a guy who's as smart as Abdul will look at capitalism as his design
Working as it was intended and say no, no, no, you don't understand. This is a different thing true capitalism hasn't been tried
I'm like, all right, man
If you say so big dog, look, I love the guy
but that
That is a
Not the correct assessment
Do you do trade with the great city-state of Singapore?
Every day of my life, I am an international shipping magnate.
As you know, I, Hassan Hassanavi Piker, I wear suits, I am an international shipping
magnate and as a part of my regular activities, I spend a great deal of time doing imports
and exports with the city-state of Singapore, the most beautiful nation on the planet.
I have, however, restrained myself and moved billions of dollars of units, billions of
dollars of assets away from the beautiful city-state of Singapore because of that one
dastardly, more Pegasus.
I haven't talked about this in a while because it's too traumatic to bring up, too traumatic.
Even now, even now I think about the defamation in the slander that is taking place on the
beautiful city-state of Singapore by an immigrant, possibly on a work visa, by the name of Mor
Pegaslop, who spends every waking moment slandering me, LaSanne Hassanabi-Piker, international
shipping magnate.
It's okay, nevertheless.
Make progress.
It's okay, nevertheless.
Make progress.
So, would China be willing to collaborate with the US on AI governance?
Well, so far, China's approached what US tech leaders are saying with extreme weariness,
and that's based on years of distrust.
China really doesn't like to be lectured, and many here believe that containing China
is a central part of US policy. Add into that the fact that the US hasn't done all that much
to regulate its own labs and all in all China just doesn't see the US as a particularly honest
broker on this issue or a country worthy of global leadership. For now however the government
is remaining diplomatic. Returning to the issue of AI governance which is going to be such an
important topic between President Xi and President Trump this week. I wonder if China has any
further comments about how important this issue of working together on
governance is.
China might...
You said open inclusive and responsible AI development. Sorry I forgot. I wasn't even looking.
That's how you know I can speak Chinese fluently. You know what I'm saying?
be persuaded by some of the arguments. But even if it is, don't expect a speedy resolution to this.
It won't want to be seen to just be accepting a U.S. idea. There'll at least need to be the
appearance of negotiation and Chinese input. And frankly, if Trump continues his competitive
posturing on the issue, do not expect China to just roll over and compromise.
First of all, Hassan is a streamer. He's a rabble rouser. And he wants to point out why the
the Democrats are full of shit. Yeah, that's what he really wanted to point out. This isn't
but that's it. But it's lined up. It's lined up to get the job done. But he's not a politician.
But but but then, but what are you for? Do you do you see the current administration as
an existential threat or not? Right. But for his for Hassan Piker, that's not a good.
What does beer attendant doing since you're pushing a guy with lower net approval than
Schumer. I think this is a question you should ask yourself.
Neurotanded Chuck Schumer is one of the most notorious politicians in the country, the
leader of the Democratic Party. Why are you comparing a fucking left-twitch streamer that
the many major establishment Democrats despise, and the entirety of the Republican Party despises
to fucking Chuck Schumer? Do you not understand that this dynamic in and of itself implies
that the Democratic Party is in a state of collapse.
You are comparing the Senate minority leader
to a fucking Twitch streamer.
What kind of, this is not Francia, this is crack cocaine.
I used to joke and say she's, you know,
mixing and matching bars and wine.
I feel like she's upgraded the methamphetamine
or crack cocaine at this point
to concoct such an idiotic comparison.
Yeah, this was funny. Branco Marsetic says, lots of absurd things about the Sampoger
Discourse with the fact that the obsession with him is happening while the exact same
time people shrug at or actively fawn over this guy, a literal al-Qaeda leader who until
last year, 2025, was on the U.S. terrorist list, might take the cake.
She reposted Auk. Yes. These guys literally, dude, they openly align with the sex pest,
cultist destiny. Okay. Currently going through a legal battle against his victims for distributing
revenge porn in the Florida courts. And in the court case, we all found out that he had
actually procured child sexual abuse material. Okay, that is the person that these people
are hugging and kissing openly, actively. So just understand they don't give a shit.
Enough. He's of the ilk. That's not a good enough platform for the Democrats to just be like,
these guys are bad, elect us.
He's saying the whole conversation is, guys, stand for more than that, be more than that.
And I think-
Have actual policies that are actually what the people want, but not just hate the fact.
But there are a bunch of like that.
I'm letting everyone know that's not who Hasan Piker is or will be or you should expect him
to be.
But some of that and what I'm saying is, while on some level I respect it, on another level
I think it's selfish.
I think it's about your brand building and where you feel you need to be.
I think that's valid too, but again, he's not a politician.
I know, but he asked to understand the pack.
He wanted this power.
He has this power.
Okay.
Rosenberg
clicking me like that.
He's getting the talking point from his dad Rosenberg's dad is a big fan you might be in here right now
We say I wanted to criticize Trump and the Republicans more. I think they're just not online enough to get it right sometimes. Yeah, I
I think you bro probably watches me more than Rosenberg does
Um
I don't know if you guys know the lore but uh Rosenberg's dad used to work for apac
And he is a widely credited with inventing the term Israel first Thursdays. You became a huge anti Zionist
Used to work for a pack back in the day quit and was like this is insane. This is a fascist country
You know, he's a massive anti Zionist since like the 90s and
People say he was the one
A Sompiker shut up? Oh, MJ Rosenberg.
Using no pleasure to write this, I agree with the Sompiker on most of the issues he addressed.
I'm a Bernie mum, Donnie O.C. Progressive, and on Israel and Palestine in favor of one
Democratic state.
I believe the Sompiker has every right to say whatever he wants on Israel, Hamas, or
anything else, but for the sake of Abdul El Sayed, Democratic candidate for Senate in
Michigan, and virtually every cost-pikered KVS, someone needs to tell him to shut up,
not forever, just until after the election.
Pikers managed to accomplish something rather remarkable, a man who's not running for anything
and does not live in Michigan, has nevertheless made himself a recurring character in one of the most important center-raises in the country.
This is not entirely his fault, of course.
Provings are deliberately trying to time to else I add.
He's the older man. I think he's just scared.
And he probably watches a lot of media.
And if you watch a lot of media,
and you have a little bit more of a defensive posture about these elections,
you overemphasize the media narratives a little bit,
and I think that's the reason why he's saying this.
Yeah, but these guys also don't understand.
What these guys don't understand is that, you know, I'm, I mean, he's not even saying go away, he's just saying, don't do any media coverage, which for the record, I'm not.
I mean, I have a profile coming out in the financial times, but that's irrelevant to the race.
Um, but ultimately I think these guys, um, these guys get scared about the media narratives
that they see as a drew, I find it in which is understandable.
By the way, Abdul put on a fucking clinic with, uh, Jessica Tarlove and what is this
guy Gallagher, Gala, Galaway, whatever his fucking name is.
He did the, you know, you can't call it a genocide because as a Jew it hurts my feelings,
which is perhaps the dumbest fucking thing you could say.
Like you have to be so unbelievably out of touch to put that Scott Galloway.
Like, why would you say that, man, it's 2026, you know what I mean?
You got to expand your horizon, big dog.
You got to expand your horizon a little bit because like this comes from a person who
who has just not been outside, okay?
Who has not talked to someone that doesn't have the exact same point of view that he has.
No argument from me.
So I was going to talk about healthcare and I'll come back to it, but under the auspices
I'm comfortable.
Do you think the war in Gaza qualifies as a genocide?
Do you think the government of Israel is committing a genocide?
I do, and I've been clear about why.
Genocide is both outcome and intent.
And when you have foreign ministers declaring intent,
and then the outcome is tens of thousands of children
who have been killed, I would call that a genocide.
Now, let me be clear about this.
I understand that the Mayusha that were can peak
a lot of really uncomfortable traumas for folks.
But I also studied my history.
when you look at the world's greatest, worst genocide, right?
In history, the greatest crime committed on people,
that is, in memorable history,
that the murder of six million Jews in the Holocaust,
coming out of that horrific crime,
the word genocide was created to explain what that was.
But the whole point of-
And wrong, you don't know your history,
it was actually Milken who coined the term
from the Armenian Genocide.
Sorry.
Plenty of genocides had taken place before then,
but the term was coined by Milken
after the Armenian Genocide.
Or not Milken, Lemken.
Fuck!
Damn it!
No!
I said Milken!
There's a totally different guy!
It was Raphael Lempkin! Fuck me!
OOOOOOOOH!
Yeah.
Wait, why are you...
Why did you link the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Republic of Armenia
for this factoid chatter?
Yeah.
Term Janus I was coined by Polish Jewish lawyer Raphael Lempkin in 1944, whose family was
One of the victims of the Jewish Holocaust by defining this term professor Lemkin sought to describe Nazi politics a systematic murder
Obviously plenty of genocides had taken place before that moment guys obviously, you know what the bells is in the Congo
What Americans did to the indigenous population here?
What the Germans did in Africa like there's plenty of instances
I'm just saying that the official legal terminology was invented by Rafael Lemkin not milken
That's a totally separate guy.
That's crazy.
My man said, Turks aren't going to let the Germans steal their history, that's crazy.
Creating that word isn't that you have to wait until the crime is that big again to
be able to use it, otherwise it loses its power.
Its power is in naming a thing before it gets that big so we can do something about it.
And I think it is really important for us to be able to name what has happened so we
can do something about it.
And I think you and I probably both agree on the end outcome that we'd all like to see.
I pray for a world where a Jewish child and a Palestinian child growing up in the Holy
Land can look forward at their future and know that their future is not going to be
curtailed by violence.
That's an outcome I think we all ought to be committed to.
But the question we have to ask ourselves is how do we get there?
And the challenge right now is too often our debate is about a quote-unquote two-state
solution in a time where every president has said they're for a two-state solution but
our government is aiding, arming and abetting the very people who are trying to foreclose
on the possibility of the second state.
It's incoherent on its own terms.
So what does it look like for us to face down the current incoherence, the current unwillingness
to actually ask whether or not what we're doing is getting us to the outcome we really
want and start thinking outside the box because we get so caught up in the past that we forget
that there's still a future we have to play for.
And if you look at your kids and
I, and you ask what matters most,
I think it's being able to make
sense out of the past to actually
address the future.
And that's what I'm hoping we can
do.
That's going to have some
uncomfortable conversations,
building uncomfortable coalitions.
But no conversation about getting
to peace happens without getting
to justice.
And no justice happens until people
are willing to come together.
Talk about what happens in frank
terms, agree where we can agree,
but also decide that we're going
to work together to get where we
want to go.
And I'd love to see a world
where Jewish Israelis and Palestinians come together
on equal terms to build out a future
where all of their kids no longer have to worry
about being killed at the hands of one another.
I agree with you.
It's important we have thoughtful, civil discussions.
You and I have had really productive conversations
around healthcare before.
As a Jew, I find it entirely unfair and not accurate
to describe what's happening in Israel, subgenocide.
Oh dude
Shit my man, I
Didn't realize that was a special power
Bro, you can't deploy that as a defensive posture
Like what do you what do you mean?
That is also like that's unbelievably anti-semitic by the way to think that like oh well, you know, I'm Jewish
So you can't say that about the Jewish state. Like what why are you bringing Judaism into this conversation?
Anyway, of course, Abdul is not going to say that. Let's see what he says instead.
Standing of the definition of genocide is the purposeful extermination of the people based
on the religion, their ethnicity or their nationality. Going from 15 million to 9 million in Europe
of Jews was a genocide, 40%.
We're acting out 70% of the Tutsi population,
that was a genocide.
The third of the Cambodian population, that was a...
Yeah, it's only a genocide.
Once you reach a certain, like,
once you reach past a certain point,
they never bring up Bosnia, usually.
Don't worry that every argument for why Israel isn't committing a genocide in Gaza was all
the half-assed selfishness exhaustive bulls down to if this is true it makes me uncomfortable.
Oh yes, the truth is often uncomfortable, part of being an adult was facing objective
reality.
Bronco says, this absurd point from Galway doesn't describe any critics of Israel's
war.
Are Israeli scholars like Omar Bartov calling for genocide against their own country?
Oh, this is the second part of the argument
Like
Here's the thing
What's the fucking argument? Ah, well
40 000 children slaughtered eh not great
You know what I mean like is that the argument it's like oh, but it's a war
It's a war where in the prosecution of said war
where children were just mercilessly slaughtered by the tens of thousands and it's like that's
your argument.
Okay, let's say we drop the fucking definition, which we're not dropping because it's the
truth, right?
And there's an important designation there.
It's important to recognize it for what it is because it has an exceptional nature.
And it also is real fits the standard because of the intent part of the equation, not just
the impact, but the intent as well.
Right?
But even if you were like, oh, it's just like, it's just like one oopsie after another.
Is that what happened?
Like, that's crazy.
That's a crazy fucking conversation.
genocide. Three percent of the Gaza population has been killed and typically a genocide doesn't
involve shipping and polio vaccines or 2,500 calories a day or dropping leaflets or leaving
voicemails telling civilians to vacate an area where they have been purposely embedded in military
targets. Do you understand why Jews such as myself find your description of what's happening in Israel
and Ingaza as a genocide as disqualifying. So I understand.
Disqualifying.
It's like, you know what this argument is? I mean, it's like, this is perhaps a little too
on serious of a response but I mean what Scott is saying is on serious it's like
saying genocide is only from a specific region in France okay sorry if it's not
from the champagne region you can't call a champagne like the fuck do you mean
oh dude well the dynamic is different because they're dropping leaflets oh
shit my bad so I guess intent and impact doesn't matter anymore
You know, it's it's only from a specific region in Germany. Otherwise, not a genocide. Call us something else, you know.
Sorry, not enough children have been ruthlessly slaughtered in the in the accidental sequence of fucking oopsies that Israel is engaged in.
engaged in.
And why that you would make the argument, but let me just also push back when people
use dehumanizing language against the people, when they bomb their hospitals and their schools,
when they attempt to displace them from where they are with the argument that, well, they're
all Arabs, these other people speak the same language, they might as well just be shipped
over there.
seems to me to be deliberate targeting. So, you know, I would ask you, do you understand
why somebody who's been thinking about this question, looking at it, connecting the dots
between the language that is used and the outcomes that were created?
Bro, I swear to God, a flip switch is every time, like, you'll have dudes who are just
like, I mean, Scott is not the most progressive guy, right? I mean, his fucking show is literally
called raging moderates. But even then, these are well educated
people. They've thought a lot about the issues they speak on.
Did I say a flip switch?
A switch flips.
Flips do not switch. Switches flip. Fuck me. Oh my God, I'm
never drinking alcoholic beverage again. This is why this
why Islam is the correct religion. This is why it's haram to drink alcohol. Okay, do as I say,
not as I do.
Astaghfirullah, I drink.
Not one, but two alcoholic beverages last night.
And it ruined my, it ruined me. It ruined me.
It completely ruined me.
Who was I saying that as I do?
Everybody get more Muslim right now.
Right now going forward.
Ashid and la ilaha illallah, ashid and the Muhammad and Abdullah Rasulullah.
Repeat after me.
We are all Muslim now.
We have all become Muslim.
You repeat those words.
It's official.
You're ordained.
You're Muslim.
No more, no more alcohol, no more usury, which is also haram.
We are doing Islamic style existence.
Alhamdulillah.
We've all become Muslim.
What is this the fucking sneak over our cast?
What am I doing?
Next week we're gonna talk are the Shia Koufar
Anyway getting back to what I was saying about switches and flips and flips and switches whatever the fuck I was saying god damn it
Yeah, there are so many people that you meet
There are so many people that you meet that are thoughtful people, careful people, considerate people, sometimes progressive people.
And then on this issue, they just fucking turn into demons. It's crazy. Never seen anything like it. Tremendous cognitive dissonance.
Is Nikitin Haram, Mr. Sheikh, Dr. Jihad? No.
would then label it that way?
I think the big question for me is, in some respects, people don't want to use the word
because of the moral implication of what ought to be done following it.
That's a good take.
Okay, Abdul Rahman Muhammad al-Sayed, the take, yes, that's part of it.
Part of it is because, I mean, the real take here is, there is an exceptional name.
nature to the process in which the Holocaust was carried out.
But genocide in and of itself is not exceptional.
But because of the industrialized nature of the Holocaust,
especially amongst Jewish people,
because this was the culmination of centuries of pogroms,
There is this attitude where it's like we are incapable of conducting this same atrocity or similar atrocities.
I think that's what it is.
There are a lot of people who think that it is totally inappropriate to ever claim that Jews or the Jewish state could do such a thing.
And not only that, but also what Abdul said
So much of the weight
Around
Protection against anti-Semitism amongst Jews
Has been deliberately
has been deliberately organized around the nation-state of Israel existing in the violent
ways that it does as a Jewish majority ethno-state.
If Israel is a Jewish majority ethno-state that does not exist, then the Holocaust will
happen again.
That is the attitude, unfortunately, that many western Jews have.
I did.
I turned up the microphone!
I did!
I did!
I did!
Is it good?
Can you fucking hear me?
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me well?
Picks your goddamn ears!
Jesus fucking Christ!
the fuck up. Oh my God. Oh my God. Anyway, as I was saying, there's this attitude is
wrong. It's incorrect. But that is the reason why that is the reason why people feel so
So feel a particular way about this.
It's just cognitive dissonance.
Leo Sternfeld, assistant professor of history and Jewish studies at Penn State, author of
Between Iran and Zion, Jewish histories of the 20th century Iran writes, I listened to
a bunch of Yom Kippur sermons of the most mainstream Jewish synagogues.
The recurrent themes were save Israel's democracy and Israel's democracy.
Those who were touched by this emotional plea should really tune into the news from Israel
always, but especially in the last few days and weeks.
Almost a full range of public figures from the far right to the Zionist left called for
various punishments for the creators of the Naza documentary, Yuval Abraham.
Ranging from revoking their citizenship to prison to death, today the Democrats, the
furthest left party on the Zionist spectrum, voted to disqualify Sami Abu Shahadeh, one
One of the leaders of the joint list because of an article he published on October 8, 2023,
which in and of itself should not be disqualifying, and for which he has already apologized.
The Knesset also voted to ban Ofer Kassif, another minister of the Knesset from the joint
list.
On political grounds alone, leaving morality out of it, this is stupid behavior, suicidal
for so many reasons.
It is the one that hands the next elections to Netanyahu.
How can anyone say Israeli democracy with a straight face?
on all the rabbis who are antithetical to leadership who lie, deceive, and refuse to
truly lead their communities in these horrific times.
Here's the problem.
Israel is not a democracy.
You can't have an apartheid state and a democracy.
Israel cannot be a Jewish state and a democracy, a democratic Jewish state at the same time.
It's one or the other.
There are non-Jewish inhabitants on the land, which Israel currently occupies, militarily.
That's it.
There are plenty of Israeli Jews who have looked into the situation, who have looked
inward and realized perhaps that they might have been wrong about not only
Israel's conduct and how it has prosecuted what it calls a war but also
Zionism itself. Omar Bartoff is one of those historians. Omar Bartoff is a
renowned Holocaust scholar. He is also an Israeli Jew. Omar Bartov has transformed
his understanding of Zionism and has come to the conclusion that Zionism has
evolved over the years and turned into a fascistic project. Now the difference
between Omar Bartov and myself on this key issue is that I believe Zionism was
There's always vulgar ethno-nationalism built around the foundations of Jewish supremacy
with the goal of exterminating the indigenous inhabitants of the land.
But I will take it, okay?
I will take it.
This is an important moment for someone who is an important Holocaust scholar.
Okay?
It opens up the permission structure for many Israeli Jews to think differently about Zionism.
Kami Pesachit says, J M F D 72.
In any case, there's no ends, ifs, or buts here.
It is a genocide.
Your personal feelings about your emotional support apartheid state, its significance
in your heart, in your conscience, its necessity, its perceived necessity for the survival of
of your peoples is utterly immaterial in this conversation.
It's that simple.
Okay, that's it.
At the end of the day, the question we must ask ourselves
is, did a genocide take place or not?
The answer is, yes, it did take place.
Now is the time for accountability.
But the question to me is, could we put the same effort
into preventing it from having happened in the first place.
And I think the whole world, and you look at the images of,
I'm just thinking about an image that I saw
of these two girls, one of them,
they're baking in the heat,
clearly their parents are gone.
So an older girl was about the age of my older daughter
and a younger girl was about the age of my younger daughter.
And the older girl is fanning the younger girl.
And I don't know how we as humans allow ourselves
to do that systematically over the
course of years to another people.
And then we want to quibble about
the words that we use to call it
that thing.
The moral imperative for action was
in seeing the images that we saw.
And I think for a lot of folks, we
look at that and say, well,
there's this, what is the purpose of
a Palestinian child in the way that
the world has organized itself,
except for to go through that?
And if we think that every
Palestinian child deserves the right
to live in dignity and deserves a
good future, then what does it require us to do?
And I think that word has meaning and-
Haven't seen you at any of the UN after parties,
Ankh, no invite.
I am considered an international terrorist, number one.
And two, I have been going to UN after parties.
You just haven't been invited to those.
Okay?
Gubbish?
Should be used because it speaks to the moral imperative of action to prevent that the word
Does have meaning and when you use the term genocide I think it connotes a notion that whoever's committing this genocide
Is guilty of something so horrific that it justifies potentially a genocide against them and that it might be horrific
It might be horrific. It might be a war crime. It might be wrong
But when you use the word genocide one, I think there's absolutely no factual
Support for that term that qualifies for that term
And to it creates a level of hostility
Yeah, I'm sorry big dog
You can't be like a
serious public intellectual like you can't
Design yourself and your brand as a guy who reads things and
and thinks about things seriously that should be paid attention to and then
when faced with the question that that is not really confusing at all I mean
there is consensus on this matter of whether or not is real committed to
genocide you go I don't fucking I don't agree like you can't be a guy who
who is a public intellectual and then simultaneously look like a fucking vaccine denier when it
comes to this issue that like the dumbest guy understands.
Okay?
Do you see what I'm saying?
That's what these guys come across as.
These guys were like, I'm brilliant, I'm smart, I talk to scholars.
know, sure, I'm a professor for marketing, but I'm a professor
nonetheless. Right? I didn't know this Galway person. So I'll
give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he
realized how stupid this argument is. But if that's the
case, and how stupid must he think his audience is to imagine
that this would resonate with them? Yeah. Like, rarely do you
have a situation where something that is objectively moral is also the majority
position that doesn't happen all the time that only happens after the fact
usually and I guess in some respects we are in the after-the-fact moment could
get worse though, right? And this blind spot that you're demonstrating is so obvious that
it takes away your credibility as a public intellectual. And yes, the podcast comments
went in the exact same fucking way that my media appearances go. The hosts often think that they're
cooking. They think that they're in comfortable territory. They think they're swimming in good
territorial waters, warm waters, that their audience will turn around and agree with them.
Their audience never agrees with them. This happened with MS Now. This happened with my Axios
interview. And this is now happening with Abdul's appearance on the Raging Moderates podcast.
Bless you, Abdul, for your honesty and courage. Very tedious and tiresome is Scott's apology
of the apartheid Israeli state's genocidal behavior. Really, respect, Abdul. I've just
conversation very impressed with how Abdul maintained composure in a tough interview.
These questions are absolutely gross by Scott. So what's the number of people he finds okay
to call something in genocide? I've never heard Scott and Jessica missing the point
this much in one podcast. Odd. Deeply disappointing. I
don't know why these guys put themselves through this fucking
humiliation ritual. I have a little bit of decency. And read
the goddamn room, man.
Read the motherfucking room. Not the rooms that you're in
clearly because the rooms that you're in agree with you. Go to some other rooms and read those rooms.
Please, I beg of you, talk to one normal guy that's not in your immediate orbit.
Okay? All these wealthy elites ritualistically humiliate themselves every fucking time they want
to talk about this issue and they love talking about this issue especially against Muslim
folk for some strange reason.
Towards Jews in this city where the diaspora feels vulnerable because I am part and supportive
of an organization that is committing genocide.
And Scott, I'm going to point to a couple of-
Yeah, yeah, you don't call it a genocide because it hurts my feelings.
Don't call it a genocide because it hurts my feelings, dude.
Thanks.
You know, you and I have had a number of really great conversations.
I think you and I probably think very similarly on a number of issues.
We do.
Obviously, this one is one on which we disagree, but A, do we have to wait until more people
get killed?
people, do we say, is enough to then call it a genocide? Because the whole point of calling
it that is to stop it from happening in the first place. So it's somewhat self-defeating
in its own logic. Second, the calling something a genocide does not justify a genocide.
Like, you can't say that because one group committed a genocide, that a genocide ought
to be justified against them. That is not the argument anyone's making. I think everybody
would agree that nobody should be in the business of killing Jewish people because they're Jewish.
That is a terrible thing. In fact, we built our whole system of international law because of the
systematic murder of Jewish people. I just want us to follow that system of international law
and do the things we need to do. And then finally, on the factual justification,
neither you nor I are scholars on genocide. I leave it to scholars on genocide in Israel itself
who've called this a genocide. So it's not just my use of the term. It is the use of the term
for people who have made their life's work about technically allocating that word in the
circumstances in which it's used with great care in Israel. And so I'm just saying that,
you know, I think there is this leap to saying, well, if you call it a genocide,
then you must be justifying reprisal. I'm not justifying reprisal.
I am trying to say that we need to intervene to stop these terrible things from happening.
I'm not calling on-
Yeah, nothing justifies the genocide.
A genocide does not justify another genocide, for example.
Okay.
It's the crime of our crimes for a fucking reason.
So that logic also doesn't make sense, but it makes sense as to why someone who is a Zionist
would carry out that logic because deep down inside, he's basically saying October 7
was genocidal. And what we are doing, what Israel is doing in return for October 7 is
also a genocidal, right? But the truth is one, October 7 was not genocidal. And secondly,
what Israel is doing is a genocide.
Systematic annihilation of anyone. If anything, I'm calling on the systematic upkeep of people's
lives everywhere for everyone. And that's the point that I keep trying to make the money.
You know, and look, I'm not running to be a leader in that region. I'm running to be
senator from Michigan. And in Michigan, we've got a lot of people who don't have the things
we need, which adds an almost insult to the injury because that's money that could have
been used to be spent to do good things here at home. And so I'm not calling for anyone to be hurt.
I'm calling for everyone to be safe. And I think it's important for us when we see the systematic
annihilation of the people to call that out and do the things that we need to do to prevent that.
But you are seeing Democrats including traditionally pro-Israel Democrats voting against aid
to go over there like Alyssa Slotkin who will hopefully be your co-senator and John Ossoff.
A big reversal in that vote Markelle's of the world. So that memo has been gotten. You will get
no argument from anyone on this podcast or really anyone that we come across.
Certainly in left or center left leaning circles that BB Nanyahu is a pernicious threat
To his own people to the region that he's got to go. Hopefully the elections bear that out and that what's going on in the west bank
is absolutely unacceptable, but when you talk about the
genocide in
Gaza
And your comments do not discuss october 7th and they do not okay. This is the oh god
Again, embarrassing. Embarrassing to see otherwise like intelligent people desperately exercise their cognitive dissonance and step by step go through the fucking motions, dude.
First it was my feelings get hurt when you call it a genocide. I'm Jewish. You can't say it's a genocide.
And now it's like, well, what about October 7? You didn't bring up October 7. It's like, none of these are adequate retorts.
Like, it's just, how do people not realize that they're just like going through, step by step, the motions of cognitive dissonance.
Another incongruence in the logic, it's perfectly reasonable to say what's happening in the West Bank is unacceptable. Why does that critique not rise the level of making American Jews unsafe?
Why is it only the Gaza Genocide that has this criticism shield? Yeah, well, that's because liberals and Highness have made it appropriate to fucking to call that out.
I'm not involved calling out Hamas who plays an integral role in keeping the people of
Gaza oppressed, kids and innocents as human shields for instance, you know, set up camp
below some of those schools.
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
She said, she said 1st October 7th and then also, but Hamas made me do it.
You know you don't have to take ownership over this, right?
It's not, you're not Israeli and even if you're Israeli you don't have to take ownership
over it.
See, this is what I mean, like I'm an American, right?
And I, let's just say, have a lot of scathing criticisms of my country, a country that I
love.
Okay?
I live here.
I choose to live here.
pay taxes here. I love this country. I love the promise that it has. And I want to fix
it. If I can do that for America, right, you can definitely do that for a fucking foreign
country. I don't understand this. I will never understand this. It makes no goddamn sense.
Like you are literally writing for a foreign country that you do not live in that you don't
to live in you have every opportunity to live there if you wanted to again I've
talked about this a lot right Israel makes it unbelievably easy for any
Jewish person around the world to go and live in fucking Israel there's like
state amenities they want this okay they need it they're desperate they want
Jewish migration to Israel so fucking bad so you have every opportunity to go
live there and you don't want to live there. Why? Because you're an American, right? You are an American.
So it blows my mind that so many Americans will literally, when the when the topic of Israel
comes up, like so many Americans will just lose sight of how to talk about governments,
where Israel in and of itself becomes not just an entity but like a spiritual being in and of itself
that must be defended vociferously unconditionally no matter how silly or belligerent you may come
across in the process no matter how much goodwill you might lose in the process because these people
are burning their fucking credibility when they do this and yet they do it nonetheless
it just doesn't make any sense to me
She's always been like this if you're paying attention.
No, I understand.
This is not just about Jessica Tarlov.
This is just like a thing that I see so commonly that frustrates me to no end.
Do you understand?
It's just like it's totally guys my point is if you are an Estonian American, okay?
You would not defend Estonia like this.
I'm a Turkish American.
You will never catch me defending Turkey like this.
These guys aren't even Israeli-American, and yet they defend Israel, sometimes even more
aggressively than they defend America.
What the fuck are we doing?
Do you understand my problem?
It's cultish thinking, okay?
I
And hospitals that you rightly rightfully pointed out that innocence died there, but that there were terrorists
Or even whereas they aren't even american jews. I mean, I know that that is like a totally different conversation. I don't even
I can't even begin to understand at least if you're like an american jew you learned
about the intergenerational trauma of pogroms and the Holocaust and then you were taught from a very early Asia like you have to protect Israel
Otherwise like it'll literally happen again. It'll holocaust is around the corner, right?
So there's like real because fear makes people lose sight of logical thinking
So even if it's like totally unjustifiable totally ridiculous I can at least understand why
Why a Jewish American would arrive at this conclusion because of the Zionist indoctrination
that they went through, right?
Because I stress this point all the time, like American Jews don't really care about
Israel all that much.
They don't want to fucking live there.
They think it's like kind of eh, whatever.
Maybe some of their meanest relatives live there, right?
At least in my experience, this is what I've gathered from my many American Jewish friends,
like oh Israel it says whatever you know some of my strangers relatives live there i've gone
there visited it's not my favorite right but when it comes down to defending
when it comes down to defending
Israel some some changes
where they have to fucking sit there and act like it's the is the greatest thing.
Any out there as well, it makes people who might even be able to get over the idea of using a word
that they don't agree with because there are a lot of Jews in Michigan and we speak to them all the
time who desperately want to vote for you because you believe in 99% of the same things
that they do. You believe in getting everyone affordable, decent healthcare and a woman's
right to choose and policies that uplift the most vulnerable amongst us. That's what
being a Democrat means. And when you see this non-negotiable pledge, which was created by
groups of rabbis and Jewish leaders, basically just asking, I think for the bare minimum,
Jewish safety, Jewish sovereignty and Israel.
I don't think this is unique to Jewish people. It's just nationalist brain rot.
The unique part is that they're not actually from the state of Israel. Yes,
that's what I'm saying. That's like,
this is a totally unique predicament.
Part of it is because no like singular group of people have been so
systematically and deliberately targeted throughout history.
So there is that element of it with, I guess the, um,
I mean, I guess black people, but even then that is a, uh,
a more relatively recent phenomena to a certain degree,
and there isn't like a unified,
united unified black experience overall.
Like it's just,
I don't know, it's just,
black people don't have the same attitude is what I'm saying.
Black people do not have the same attitude
that like Jewish Americans do on an issue like this,
because there's no,
there's no, yes, I said recent scientific racism
and chattel slavery is more recent than the long history.
Doesn't mean it's not the worse or better.
I'm just, I was just giving you a historical fact guys.
It's severe, the crimes of chattel slavery is severe,
it's unique, it's exceptional, it's disgusting, but it's, um, and it doesn't take away from
the pain.
I was just saying that historically speaking, we're talking about like thousands of years
of deliberate and systematic targeting as opposed to, uh, the way that racism operated
predating, uh, African chattel slavery, well, or not racism, sorry, the way that slavery
operated predating chattel slavery, which is considered different than other formations
slavery was not on the basis of race. Oftentimes it was on the basis of ethnicity or nationality,
but never on the basis of race in the way that it existed after chattel slavery. It's a totally
unique concept. It's a totally unique and an extra immoral concept. But what I was talking about is
the history. This is just correct. I don't know why Chad is dumb on this. Everybody gets a little
sensitive around the subject matter because people misunderstand the words I'm saying. I wasn't
saying like it's better or worse or anything like that. Oftentimes historians make valid judgments
on two things and they say they're like immoral, okay? Nazism, the Holocaust, and also,
So, uh, chattel slavery, which is understandable.
I think that's an exception that you can make for both of those things.
Um, having said, yeah, top two crimes.
Anyway, my point, forget what I was saying.
I just, I like to me, it just doesn't make any sense.
Okay.
It's, it's, it's so beyond reason, beyond reason, beyond logic.
That it will stay a Jewish state and that you will talk about it as such and you won't sign on to that
It's oh, yeah, this versus
Because black people are both disconnected the countries where their answers came from and Africa's massively diverse confidence that of a single nation
But many other factors well, yeah, I think that's part of it as well. Yeah, there's no like unifying front
I guess you have like Pan-African nationalism as a movement, but even then it's like a disconnected
in many respects
Also, it's not like there are, there is like one singular black country that's just like fucking killing the, the indigenous inhabitants currently in the pursuit of, of creating a black exceptionalist protectorate.
You know what I mean?
like there isn't like I guess like Liberia but even then it doesn't it's not the same
just there's nothing there's nothing like it's called Poland okay dude chill it would literally
be like if Wakanda was placed on top of Poland okay and there was a black ethno state by the
name of Wakanda, it was technologically superior, and they chose to just like slaughter random
wipe, not even like wipe over like random slobs, right? Like if we in this in this hypothetical
parallel that we're trying to design, it would have to be people that did not participate
in chattel slavery that were then like bearing the brunt of that animosity.
There's a reason Shakespeare focused on anti-Semitism in the merchant events in Medieval Europe.
Anti-Black racism wasn't just as much as the thing is anti-Semitism.
Anti-Blackness was engineered by the US South.
Blackness was deliberately engineered to justify chattel slavery. This is why
chattel slavery is exceptional in nature because it made slavery of an entire
people permanent. It made it generational. In the past, slavery could take many
different forms in dentured servitude. You could pretend your next of kin would
not also be relegated to a lifetime of slavery. So in an effort to justify
Chattel slavery. In order to justify chattel slavery, the concept of race was invented so that they could justify dehumanizing an entire population of people and justify their continued subjugation.
To say, oh, they're not real people, they're inferior, this is the grand design.
But, yes, anti-blackness was an invention to justify the transatlantic slave trade.
There have always been historically different versions of colorism that has existed even
places like, you know, China and Asia and whatnot, but it's not the same as anti-blackness.
blackness that was that was followed by or designed around the concept of scientific racism
then then that then evolved into eugenics and the like
As to people who can get there for you, again, no one wants Mike Rogers, certainly no one
on this podcast, and no one that we're talking to, but they want to hear a more nuanced perspective
that acknowledges what happened in Israel and what Hamas is doing, and that you will fight for
their protections as well, and certainly as hard as you would fight for any Palestinian child,
because that's what we all want. But Jessica, here's the challenge, right, that I've often
had. Look, I think the legal and theological debates at the time was broadly considered that
you could not enslave a Christian. Yes, that's what it is. Sorry. I forgot to mention that.
You're absolutely correct. That was a big part of the reason why they had to find a new boundary
that would justify the permanent subjugation of the people, because the Africans that were
being taken as slaves through colonial plunder, through wars and whatnot would then convert to
Christianity. And then once they did that, well, you can enslave them. Yeah, they needed to come
comment with a reason they would be a natural slave. Exactly. That, too, when it comes to
the question of Jewish safety, that to me, like you said, is non-negotiable. That's not
what's on the table right now. You know, in some respects, I took very seriously some
of the feedback I got after the attack on Temple Israel that I was trying to offer context
for something there. The context was not helpful. That there were kids who were attacked on that
day and that needs to be condemned on its own terms. I said, hurt people, hurt people.
Which, by the way, wasn't wrong. He literally did do that. And then the next day, the next day,
he offered additional context around the cycle of violence, which again,
like he is going above and beyond here okay this is let's be real the
unfortunate circumstances brought about by racism Islamophobia bigotry overall
that an Arab man, a Muslim man, has to go back on his previous words and act as though what he said was inappropriate.
He did not say anything inappropriate at that moment. It was reduced to a soundbite and they hit him over the head over and over again,
again, and badgered him with this quote, undermining the thoughtful, broader point that he was making.
We all have to plug our ears and cover our eyes and pretend like that man's family being
murdered by Israel is no influence on a Matagin Temple. Israel, of course, is not an excuse
for justification. It's not the... and for the record, Abdul didn't say that either.
He called him a small man. He said what he did was utterly unjustifiable. It was a heinous
crime because it was, okay? But the notion that there aren't systemic forces at play
that cause individuals to take action against those who are completely innocent is ultimately
unproductive if you want to solve violence altogether. It's the same principle behind
people going how dare you talk about fucking blowback with respect to 9-11
how dare you talk about Israel's systematic destruction and death of the
entire Palestinian population that led to October 7. You can recognize that
October 7 was horrifying but then also understand the events that set it in
in motion. This does not justify October 7. The problem is, people don't want to fucking
hear it because it makes a much better narrative if you think, oh no, October 7 happened because
these nasty Arabs are just like racist and wanted to murder as many Jews anti-semitically
as possible. You know what I mean? That was the leading theory in the immediate aftermath
of October 7th, right? It's ridiculous. What is this? The person Matthew is mocking here
a teacher at Temple Israel she was putting her class toddlers down for a nap when the terrorists drove a truck into the building
if a 9-11 survivors of the sky is pink that doesn't mean the sky is pink
if you believe Elzahed has hatred for Jews then you need to get mental health
oh they're saying like he's uh how dare he
yeah Israel's done pretending it's a democracy
Yeah, this was election body is voted to ban all Arab parties from running in the upcoming general elections. Nice, dude
I'm gonna be honest dude it like I
Think it's pretty cooked. I mean, I think it's it's
Zionism is reaching its final stage, you know, I
think
We might have crossed post October 7. We might have crossed a turning point
Where it might be virtually impossible to like dial this project back
Like if you are an Ashkenazi Jew
That's over the age of like 50 living in Israel and
And you've only known Israel as this like Western adjacent project
This country that's supposed to be this beacon of democracy and liberalism in this scary region surrounded by Arabs like it's done
It's fucking over. How can you look at the situation and see it as anything but a holdover state?
For some of the most right-wing, ultra-nationalist, already forces that will now have nuclear arms,
that will become increasingly belligerent, and will forcibly sever all ties with the western world,
which will of course make it impossible to exist as a western-adjacent liberal democracy that you thought Israel would turn into.
Or you thought Israel was, rather.
This is how reactionary thought erodes. Civil liberties, this is how reactionary thought
erodes all of the social amenities you thought were social rights. Okay? And lo and behold,
If you didn't learn the lesson in 2018, when the same tools that have been used to oppress
the Palestinians were turned on you when you were doing, as Israeli Jews, the protests
against the Supreme Court, or protests against the government, during the Supreme Court protests
to the place, if that didn't work as a wake-up call for you to go, how the fuck did we become
just like really right-wing country I don't get it. I don't know if this will do it.
Israel in 30 years will be entirely unrecognizable to Western population. The veneer of Europeans,
Europeanists that normalize the state of Israel in the West will be gone when the majority of
population are Sephardi fundies. Yeah. They are going to lose. By the way, we're not even going
gonna have to demand an academic boycott. We're not gonna have to demand a cultural boycott.
Give it five fucking years, okay? That's all I'm saying. They are going to create an environment
where the remaining academics, the remaining artists, the people that have a connection
to the Western world will escape Israel. They won't want to stay there. Okay? Straight
up. I mean, Israel itself is like currently being propped up by Western Jews with a tremendous
amounts of power, like that are just constantly unloading capital into it to keep it alive.
What happens when there's no one there that remains that has any connection to the Western world at all?
And let me tell you, it won't look like Iran either, you know, because people will be like Iran is a backwards theocracy, right?
Iran is the most educated country in the region, and no other nation-state comes close.
Sure, they're Islamist. Sure, they're repressive, but they're also unbelievably invested in educating their population.
Israel does not make that same investment at all. Okay?
Yeah, it will be Iran without women's education and workforce participation.
Or without education in general.
This is a thing that I don't understand like,
like, like how can people not see it, you know?
And people took great offense to that.
Now, we're talking about the systematic annihilation
of tens of thousands of kids,
and you're telling me in effect,
well, hurt people, hurt people.
We can condemn what Hamas did on October 7th,
and we can condemn a genocide that took place thereafter.
And we can do those in two different terms.
But to tell me that I cannot condemn a genocide, unless I also condemn the actions of October
7th, somebody else would pick that up and say, yeah, but then what about the systematic
occupation and apartheid perpetrated and we could play that game forever.
I don't want to do that.
I want us to be honest about what needs to happen and let's be clear for too long.
The question of interest is not actually what's happening over there.
It's what's happening with our policy in the United States.
capital, Iranian women are far more educated than any Western women. This is true, but good luck.
Good luck getting that point across to anybody. Iran is a very unique country. I mean, look,
I'm not fucking saying that there isn't tremendous amounts of state repression and that like,
the government is, the government has insane viewpoints as far as like their domestic affairs
and how they must govern themselves. But yes, it's true. They want all the women
that go to college to get a college education and to build the rockets but
also wear a hijab while doing so which is obviously a tremendous inconsistency
especially when all of those women that are going to college also have they
want to rebel against this enforcement and they have access to the
internet like there's difference between people who choose the wear the hijab
Versus people who are forced to wear the hijab so that becomes their rallying cry
But it's also unbelievably inconsistent like you can't you can't expect people to do this
You can't like consistently you can't because you feel like we have to we have to give women
tremendous power and and and
offer them a
Position of power a seat at the table
Educate them and then be like why aren't they fucking wearing the hijab? I really want them to wear it
It's just not gonna happen. I'm not saying it's the end all be all of like feminism
I'm not doing the peak Western white feminism plenty of women who want to wear their job, right?
Like you can't force that upon an entire population
Uh, especially after you, you know, spent a good deal of time and effort
Um, you know educating the population as well
It's just inherently contradictory
And ironically enough, of course, the reality that the Iranian government also has has come to terms
with and one could even say that part of the reason for why this enforcement exists, including
some of the religious fundamentalism that exists is at least by my estimation and I might be wrong
on this, but it's a way to maintain the power base. Iran is a very diverse country. Iran is a very,
very diverse country, 90 million people, so many different sects, so many different ethnicities,
but the power base and the legitimacy, the popular support for the Islamic
Republic comes from the base, the sect of Muslims, right? Very conservative, very
religious Muslims. So in an effort to legitimize their existence in times of
unprecedented instability, they have to more aggressively posture in a
fundamentalist manner. I don't even know how much of it is like, oh we have
religious control is very pious. I don't know how much of it comes from their
understanding of the Qur'an or how much of that is just basically it's
called 12 Verism not this vagueness. I know but I don't know it's too
difficult for me to put my mind. It's too difficult for me to comprehend
Someone who follows this interpretation strictly to the letter the as those the letter of the law
It's tough. I always feel like people have self-interest beyond
their
Their their religious guidance, I'm sure there's plenty of people who are
Zealots plenty of people who are very pious
but ultimately
I don't know how much of it is I
I don't know how much of it is Shia fundamentalism versus how much of it is an effort for the government to continue exercising its legitimacy by leaning into the demands of its popular base of support coming from the fundamentalist Shias.
Because if that was the case, they would probably redouble their efforts in times of unprecedented discontent, born out of the sanctions and whatnot, and yet they ease up on these restrictions.
The secular Turkish mind cannot comprehend, for sure. It's true.
Anyway,
States, we run cover for the state of Israel.
We don't fund hummus.
We run cover for them at the ICC.
We run cover for them at the I C J. We run cover for them at the United Nations.
We pay into their military.
We sell them weaponry that they use to do these worst things.
in $2,000 in 2000 pound bombs just now.
Why, to what end?
And explain to me why that makes sense as an American policymaker.
So yes, I just think that we need to have this conversation on the terms in which it
needs to be had.
Tens of thousands of kids were killed and there is no ever justification for killing
children, not ever.
And that's exactly the point and that's why I apologize.
I appreciate that you made that apology. I am not saying that this is about a what-about-ism
or that we've got to go to this and you can just play this game of dominoes. What I'm telling you
is that there are people who are not going to be able to pull the lever, check the box,
however they're voting for you, unless you demonstrate to them that you understand their
concerns. This is about morals and values and ethics and it is also about winning elections.
and there is a group of people that are asking you, I think, for very bare minimum acknowledgement
of their concerns. They're not even saying stop saying genocide.
And Jessica, I'll tell you, like when it comes to that, I've been having a number of really
great conversations behind closed tours and in public. When it comes to the safety of the Jewish
community here in Michigan, when it comes to the safety of Jews anywhere, I am focused on protecting
Jewish safety. But I also believe that the safety of Palestinians is equally important.
And too often when we have this conversation, there's this,
Bessam Yusuf who is a comedian. I can't sign off on all the things he said,
but I heard him say this thing one time and it really struck me. He said,
what's the purpose of a Palestinian child except for to die? Because it's all you ever hear them
doing. And I think we should reflect on that. Because oftentimes when this conversation is had,
It's had under the premise that any attempt to advocate for the right of that child to live their life peacefully
Must automatically come at the cost
Of a Jewish child. I don't believe that to be the case. I don't think you either
So I just think it's important for us to get to a level of public policy
Where we I like that. He's so used to getting uh pinned down on other people's clothes that he's like pre loading his bussum use of take with
You know, I don't know everything he's ever said. I'm not endorsing everything. He's ever said much like Hassan piker
Who I appreciate but don't endorse everything he's ever said. I'm pre-condemning by some use of I
Would like to start off by quoting a Muslim man, but before I finish the quote let me pre-condemn him
Anyway, this was really good. This was really really good
All right, let's get to the Boston Globe article, which didn't load for some reason.
Let's see if it loads now.
Oh, fuck, it's not loading. God damn it.
Does anyone have the Boston Globe?
I don't like being called a dunderhead, sir or madam, madame.
Okay, this is our top story of today. There's so much that I want to talk about in this story.
A Western Massachusetts lesbian bar required KN95 masks. When it changed the rules,
all hell broke loose. Last stitch bar in Greenfield wanted to build a community.
They got a firestorm instead.
The August 31st Instagram post from Last Stitch Bar in Arts Venue, a lesbian bar in
Greenfield, was upbeat. He's a new DJ lineup and a volunteer meetup.
Why can't I zoom in better in this? But part way down the rainbow huge post labeled Updates
was a sentence that would splinter the queer community in this small Pioneer Valley city
and beyond. It is with love we inform our immuno-compromised disabled divas we will be opening
Saturday nights as mask optional," wrote Last Ditch. Previously patrons were required to wear
a well-fitted KN95 mask or better at all times. The new policy was not received with love.
Just say you're being complicit in a mass-disabling event and get it over with," wrote one commenter.
people like you kill disabled people in the name of your own leisure and
convenience posted another. I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my
fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra
revenue from Abilis wrote a third. Now that third statement comes from someone
that I love personally. I know who this person is because they are very famous.
That's right. The secular hijab person. It's not lost on me that I've received a
huge amount of hate from so-called leftist accounts since changing my
PFP to include a hijab inspired secular accessoration. Now you might be saying
is this woke 2 is this woke 1 this is woke 11. This person has been on woke 11
as a wavelength for the last decade or so.
They've said that I was a CIA agent.
Would it shock you to know that this person fucking despises me?
Probably not.
And I need you to understand something.
I cherish the creative writing capabilities and the mind of a person like this, and I
mean this sincerely, okay?
I need you to understand, I don't want you guys to go on like harass this person or anything
like that because some of you fucking are unbearable.
These are the types of people who I cherish.
They come up with some of the coolest concepts, some of the coolest theories.
Okay?
This is a dying art.
The unfortunate reality is, I think like Tumblr dying or Tumblr banning pornography created
an environment where a lot of these thoughts were no longer trapped in a safe space where
they could just like come together and invent new realities.
It escaped contagion.
And then, once Twitter was sold off to Elon Musk, it was destroyed.
Okay, there's like 20 lesbian bars in the country and they all have a controversy.
Yeah, have you been following the Western mass lesbian bar controversy?
Wait, no.
Well, I thought you were referring to a different controversy with a lesbian bar in Portland right now.
The reason why I think this article is awesome is because we run into similar problems in
every woke place.
You got to see this aspect of the secular accessory person.
I don't appreciate this fed jacketing of disabled advocacy from you when the FBI Joint
Terrorism Task Force literally knocked on the door of my apartment this week to terrorize
my family over my posts.
That's right.
This is a person that posts harder than anyone's ever posted before.
This was the quote, I don't live in your town, but I hope your vinegar gets firebomb
for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people with their Saturday plan just to scrap extra
revenue from Able's.
Sorry disabled people aren't making you enough money or whatever.
You are functionally following the business plan of Target.
Hope your business crashes and burns with love.
I've also heard from other community members who are reading people from Western Massachusetts who are disabled themselves or queer themselves who have all but entirely confirmed the incidents that took place in this bar.
Okay.
I will say this, I think.
We should let people post like this. I think it's awesome. I see it as creative writing.
As long as it doesn't turn into like, you know, something actionable. And many of these folks
are fortunately very agoraphobic anyway. So I think that probably plays a big role in them
I'm never taking action beyond simply posting threats like this, right?
They diagnose you with long COVID.
Lamal has long caught long COVID and is trying to stash her in his way out of it and his
doctor is already gaslighting him about drink less caffeine.
Maybe he could have picked up a flyer and masks soon enough to prevent this if he hadn't
chickened out of the Maylite Curos rally.
I'm confused as to what this has to do with the Maylite Curos rally but.
influence in the cultural zeitgeist is measurable? Yes. Yes. Truke, listen and
learn. Yeah. Yeah, she believes you're an ableist. I mean, bear. Bear.
You didn't go to the unsafe event. Yeah, that one actually threw me for a loop
because they're like saying, I chickened out due to the many assassination threats, but
also I should be afraid of particulates in the air at the same, like I don't know.
I mean, I, I find it very strange.
Like she wanted me to attend a mass event to die of long COVID, but I'm also a pussy
for, for, for having to respond to credible, uh, assassination threats, like that kind
that doesn't make sense? You know what I mean?
Is this the Laura Loomer of woke? Kind of.
The threat grew to 442 comments, some supportive, but many furious that people running the bar
were accused of being ableist, eugenicist even, for relaxing their signature policy in the
face of what commenters considered an ongoing pandemic. Greenfield hasn't reported any
COVID cases in more than two months, huh? My friend, that's your first mistake. People
will say that this is COVID is continuing. And I mean, there is
truth to it, people still get COVID, right? Having said that,
its pandemic status is disputed. Right? In any case, let's
continue.
Two days later, last this last stage post an apology, we're
sorry for a passive and dismissive tone of our change to
the norms and schedule impacted the most intersectional of us. Management wrote on Instagram, we understand everyone faces different intersections, and we're always working to consider all needs fully. Instead of diffusing the situation, the apology seemed to make things worse.
The bar had erred. It posted on Instagram car without providing alt text for the visually impaired. This set of fresh round of accusation.
of ableism. This is not an accessible pose, wrote one user. It indicates the lack of care
or interest in disability intersectionality. Quaint, crunchy, greenfield, population 17700.
This isn't a bad place for COVID-19. The cost of lesbian bar in 2026, all things considered.
Rainbow flags, deck store windows downtown. On a recent weekend, a community theater was
advertising a workshop for masked performers down the street from a bookstore with a medical
masks required sign on the window. Men in ponytails and N95s were ordering hibiscus tea from the
coffee shop off the main square. Greenfield is close, both physically and spiritually.
To Northampton, sometimes referred to as Lesbianville, USA. In the Pioneer Valley, every bar is a
lesbian bar friend who lives there told me. Nevertheless, Last Ditch, which opened last year
as a bar for, I'm not going to say the word, transsexuals, gender-freeze workers and their
friends is struggling. Three housemates in their mid-20s open it together hoping to fill the void
left by two local queer bars that had shuttered. One of the trio, Asa Rosario, a track performer
who uses it and its pronouns in vision to venue where it and its friends could perform. Very woke
of the article peddler here to use the correct pronouns. The three were intentional about the
kind of values they wanted to bring to the divey basement bar, which they decorated with
discoveries from Facebook Marketplace and piece from local artists.
No one be turned away from the space for lack of funds.
Poor and unhoused people are welcome in the space, the police were not.
Our mission is to create systems of care and action and aid," says Jackie Mattelian, one
of the founders.
When it first opened, Last Ditch did fairly well.
Customers fondly remember a raucous opening night with a clothed simulation of a lesbian
sex act mass in place on the dance floor.
But over time, foot traffic to the bar slowed.
More and more visitors said they didn't have the cover fee.
The bar let them in anyway.
The owners fell behind on bills and couldn't pay themselves or the people who worked there.
So after consulting the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, they came up with a
plan to bend one of their rules and hopefully attract more customers.
So by the time of last ditches monthly community meeting on September 11th, what?
A interesting timing for the community.
I'm not going to say anything, okay.
Only one of the original founders, Matillion, is still involved.
The two others step back from the daily operation most before Matillion says, citing various
pressures and health issues, one head enrolled in clown school.
Okay, clown school is fairly rigorous for the record. There are
some 10 people seated in the circle on the dance floor all
wearing masks, metallic and a handful of volunteers, some
bar patrons and two designated meteors who will facilitate
conversations between parties who disagree. Another 10 or 15
people joined the meeting via zoom. The plan is to go
clockwise, sharing views on the masking decision and the
financial future of the bar. Each person has two minutes to
speak. It begins with a calming breath exercise.
Almost immediately, the proceedings are derailed. One of last stage's most vocal critics, the
head of another queer COVID conscious collective in western Massachusetts, a performer and
artist who goes by So Noir, has been posting complaints about last stage for days.
Now, Noir joins the meeting on Zoom. He and other critics begin the flood of Zoom chat
with irate messages, which are dutifully read out to the group. When it comes time to one
of the mediators, a licensed therapist to speak, she takes a conciliatory tone.
I love that you're here online, she says, but these platforms alienate us from each
other. I'm talking about social media. She asks whether participants can try to
remove themselves from places of righteousness. I would love to get to a
place where we all know each other's face or we all know each other's name she
continues. It's messed up that the mediator is dismissing those attending
virtually. That's not accessibility, someone responds in the chat. Well, big
mistake. A lot of people are calling for an acknowledgement of harm, and I'm hearing a white
therapist centering the feelings of a majority white and white adjacent staff writes Noir,
who is black. Moreover,
moreover, the zoom attendees speculate that the mediators license status makes her a mandated
reporter, an agent of the state, akin to police.
One person going by Moss asks if the mediator could have them
hospitalized against their will, adding that her presence is
wildly unsafe.
Brother, this is slanderous. There are 12 people west of
Warchester. This is not representative of Massachusetts.
Reminder the globe paper is fascist.
Okay, we'll cover the piss vortex, uh, conditions of the story in a second.
Oh, sorry, I said Warchester, it's pronounced Wooster, I know.
When Metellion's turn comes to speak, she begins haltingly.
She had never envisioned running Last Ditch Alone.
It was not my passion project, she says.
My main goal was to support Sage and Asa, the two other founders.
Her voice cracks.
I never really wanted to do this, Matillion says, beginning to cry under her mask.
I don't think I'm doing a very good job.
Matillion tells the group, I know I'm laughing because I know what the response is going to
be.
I'm sorry, I read certain parts of it already.
Matillion tells the group her credit score is trashed.
For six months, she lived in her truck because she was pouring money into the bar.
She's working four different jobs.
She's responsible for paying out the $50,000 loan the three took out to launch the business.
The online critics are unmoved.
You chose to use your time to spill tears and center your feelings, nor post in the
chat.
This is incredibly racist and deflecting behavior.
Eventually, after three and a half hours of discussion, the meeting wraps up.
There's a point to this story, and I'm going to get to it, because there's a parallel in
every left organizing space, and if you enjoy and cherish this left space, understand that
I don't play by these fucking rules, and I run the show with an iron fist.
You might actually find yourself sympathetic to some of the actors in the story.
You might literally be some of the actors in the story.
You might feel called out from the way that I'm reading the story and laughing.
It is important for you to understand that the only reason why you are capable of enjoying
such a large space with so many different unique components associated with it,
with many different ideological tendencies, is because I do not play by these rules at all,
and I will put you on a rocket ship to Mars if you behave this way. And for many years,
I have operated with this mentality.
Okay?
Three and a half hours is crazy.
Anyway, the meeting wraps up after three and a half hours.
Nora has more to say, but when someone suggests he come to the next community meeting, he refuses.
There's a lot of emotional and physical labor that goes into this, so for you as a white
person that asked me to stay for another meeting for free, he says, is incredibly disingenuous
and racist.
I'm not doing that.
Then I think, unfortunately, this meeting has failed you, replies the facilitator, and
I'm sorry.
The in-person participants file up, the metal stairs past the native plant garden, and out
to their cars.
has been resolved. Last Ditch's landlord wants $3,900 back in rent by Monday.
Noir spends the hours after the meeting posting furious Instagram stories about Matillion
and Last Ditch. Matillion, who uses she-they pronouns, had been shedding white they-them
tears, he writes. The bar was not a safe environment nor interested in revolutionary praxis.
I reach Noir, who identifies as a gender-expansive lesbian and uses he-him pronouns. I zoom a
few days later. I ask whether he has any sympathy for those running last ditch, given the profound
financial strain they are under. No, he replies, nor asked to be referred to by his stage name,
because he says he has been stalked and fears for his safety. I'm not going to give grace when
someone is spreading rhetoric that can and will get people hurt, he says, referring to the fact
of the bars account had liked a few comments supporting the relaxed rule.
Bear. This is reasonable. More.
I don't, guys, before you ask me about what it means to be a gender-expansive he-him lesbian,
I don't know. Okay. I don't know. I don't understand it. You know my policy.
Live and let live. Okay? As a matter of fact, some of the
criticisms I have is that many people don't abide by said policy and will
oftentimes demonstrate narcissism while utilizing emancipatory language. Now
this is an experience that many of you are all too familiar with because
sometimes you have done something of the sort in this community and other times
you have seen others do it and gotten very mad. Maybe even you felt cathartic when I
yelled at someone doing just that in a moment, right?
As a matter of fact, there's probably people doing that right now in the chat. I just haven't been reading the chat because I'm reading the article.
Okay, what do I always say? Be fucking normal, right? Be normal.
That's number one. Number two, be cool. And
And number three, do not center your feelings and your opinions and try to make the conversation about your immediate needs when we're, you know, having a broader conversation about something else, right?
People violate these rules all the time. Very difficult.
Let's continue. Moreover, the mass policy change promotes these ableist ideas that disabled people,
immunocompromised people, should either risk their health or just be pushed out of space, as he says.
Noir, who lives about 50 minutes south of Greenfield, estimates he has visited the bar seven or eight times,
but he won't return unless there is new leadership. You can't repair a house that's on fire, he says.
Saturday, September 12th, is the second weekly mask optional night at Last Ditch.
Down a set of stairs, in a small concrete courtyard, few people mill outside smoking.
Another handful linger inside near the bar under string lights.
The dance floor, a wide checkered expanse with a stripper pole at the center, is empty.
Mattelian is one of the few people wearing a mask. I talk with her and another volunteer,
Melody Young, in a small library tucked inside an alcove by the bar,
filled with zines and lesbian classics such as Stone Butch Blues.
This is also their free store, which carries food clothes, fentanyl test strips,
Narcan, literature about STIs and other supplies.
Above us hangs a sign, prom, canceled, cuz, lesbians.
I remember a comment on Lastage's original announcement after the pile on had begun.
At Screamguy was up asked, I'm sorry, all 400 of these crazy people live in Greenfield,
Massachusetts?
I asked whether the people behind the angry post of genuine connections to the bar are
their real customers.
Young and Mattelian say yes, they know many of the detractors.
There are people that are close to us and love us who are really disappointed in our
decision and that is completely understandable," says Young, who says her sister is one of
the vocal critics online.
Like, it's so understandable why they feel hurt by the way we did it and the fact that
we did it.
They have passion for the space, Mattelian adds.
A number of people on Instagram also said they were excited to visit the space en masse.
But this night, the hoped-for other patrons haven't materialized, despite the $10 cocktails
and sternum shivering dance tracks from DJ Harsh Noy's boyfriend. At the queer bar that occupied
the space before last ditch where masks were not required a night like this might have drawn 100
people estimates. Mixie the bartender on duty that night, a trans woman with thick black eyeliner
and cat-like poise. Mixie is closeted in her day job as an engineer. She loves the bar enough to
work for just tips knowing last ditch is in the red. But she thinks the early dogmatism about
masks was a mistake. Well, because she's a fascist. She is a fascist eugenicist that wants to murder
everyone with a gun. Sorry, clearly. People don't feel...
People don't like to feel scolded, she says. That's not how hospitality works.
Just after midnight, one patron is left at the bar, a regular who works at the Mexican restaurant
next door. She wonders aloud about holding a lady Gaga theme night, but makes
he demirres. Gaga is canceled, she says. Gaga is a Zionist.
The DJ is still playing EDM, and Mattelian is alone on the checkered dance floor making
expensive graceful loops on the stripper pole, can 95 mask in place.
Matillion doesn't expect the conflict at last dish to end soon. She plans to
co-operatize the bar so she doesn't bear so much financial liability but that
will come with its own challenges and the discord about masking is unlikely to
go away but it comes with the territory she says there's conflict but we just
hope there's more repair than conflict. That's the price you pay to be in
in community, Matillion says.
Now this obviously dropped like a nuke on Twitter discourse.
This article basically had the discourse nuclear atom bomb
effect.
Now, why did I read it?
because my two have been yelled at quite a bit
by people with similar mentalities.
And I think it cuts to the heart of why left organizing,
oftentimes has a lot of issues.
And I think it also showcases why this community
that I cherish, that I find near and dear, okay?
What is this? The lesbian bar story is so big that Democratic members of Congress are tweeting
jokes about it. Rosa de Loro. Oh my God. Rosa de Loro getting a group together to visit the
weird lesbian bar in Western Mass. DMF interested can't talk here. Also Rosa de Loro is the only
person that would attend that bar and would not look out of place. She literally is the only person
in Congress that if she wasn't 87 years old, would probably already have a non-binary,
or maybe even like a Xeno-gender pronoun. Okay? Are you fucking kidding me? Rosa, you
don't get to make fun of your own people. Okay? I'm shocked. I feel like she's saying
she's acting like this
because she wants to make it seem like she is not a regular do please i'm so
sick man this really suck please guest star me
trip canceled no one wanted that lady you are eighty seven years old
in any case
here's the thing
Here's the situation, okay?
We on the left always want to be as accommodating as possible.
We understand that a society should be measured by how it takes care of its weakest, right?
The issue, however, is that there is a constant push and pull.
This is a never-ending dynamic in left spaces.
Are we a safe space or are we somewhat of a safe enough space, but we can still have discourse, for example.
I say this because, you know, I have a community.
I have a left community where a lot of organizers and activists congregate around.
And I have a lot of experience doing this for the last 13 years at this point, or at least since 2018 on Twitch, right?
And in my experience, throughout periods of growth, there's also been a lot of struggle, right?
And some of that struggle has revolved around these exact same issues.
Why are you not being as accommodating as I would like you to be?
There have always been the age-old conversation of,
Are we allowing microaggressions, for example, why are you giving space to reactionary people, right-wing people?
This is very common, okay?
Very, very common, very common problem, okay?
What is this? French activist member of LFI here. People are shit in left community.
Was just deceived by a comrade tonight. Sucks to suck.
What does that mean?
I do not understand what you are saying.
This goes back to being normal. You can be morally correct, but if you're an asshole about it,
no one's going to give a fuck and no one's going to see you as their friend.
Yes, and not only that, but also I think
There are
moments
where if we are trying to organize if we're trying to welcome people on
the edges on the margins and
Welcome them
Means that we have to accept that people can be assholes and safe communities too. Yes, that's true
Here's the issue, here's the issue, and you are on a path towards organizing because socialism
is mass politics.
the
the
the real world plenty of people who don't agree with you
what is happening
or again
no
the fuck
uh-oh
uh
uh
uh
one second
no
no
are we good? Hold on. We're back. What is this? Yeah, so my point was, my point was,
This community, its size and its impact is a living, allowing a diversity of ideas to
thrive without engaging in record behavior.
If you look at me, I'll just have to get it.
What the fuck?
What is happening?
What the hell is going on?
Umm...
My bit rate on IRL goes down and then fixes itself again, but it's not my internet.
the
the
the
the
the
the
the
the
and
every time we start talking
what the fuck
Okay, is it gone now? I don't know. We're a pocket square. Maybe that'll make the internet
behave. I don't think so. Um, Hassanabi network problems. Okay. Look, uh,
hopefully it's fine for now, but.
Last thing I heard was this is a space where we can engage in discourse
without record behavior. Yes. My point is socialism is mass politics. Okay.
Socialism is mass politics, which means you have to speak the language of the
masses, speak to the needs of the masses, be one with the masses. Okay. But that requires
you to demonstrate social behavior. You cannot be anti social. And I'm sorry. A lot of these
people demonstrate a lot of anti social behavior. And this is an issue. Okay. A lot of these
people do not understand how to operate in a normal social environment. Okay, that's it.
But because of the accommodation politics of the left,
because we want to be as welcoming and as open-minded as possible, we end up getting in our own way.
And we stump the growth of this movement and don't welcome new comrades into the fold
Because we become ironically through our accessibility politics unbelievably inaccessible
And some people like that
Some people want that that's something that I oppose and I've made it very clear over and over again
There are people out there who think oh this movement is only real if it's if it's
It's like a hipster movement.
Like some people want to gatekeep socialism, right?
Where the larger this movement grows,
the more fake it becomes, the more phony it becomes, right?
This is one of those issues.
Yeah, some of us don't wanna organize with eugenesis.
The other side of the story is a woke one relic
of taking everything to its logical and maximalist position
and treating the conversation as though your opposition
is engaging in real deliberate harm against you.
That argument ended up itself,
the claim that people on the left
who are organizing in a normal social environment
are actually engaging the act of fascist eugenicism
to destroy all immunocompromised and disabled people
is, and I hate to say this
because people get really mad at me for saying this,
but I do believe it, it's a little crazy, okay?
Right here, I'll give it to you like this.
Many of you live in the first world.
And through unequal exchange,
Our position as labor aristocrats comes at the cost of tremendous amounts of pain to those in the third world, to those in the periphery.
They mine for conflict minerals that make their way into our phones.
If you were, even if you are technically correct, if you were to operate with that understanding at all times
And make that your your primary fixture in your politics
You would not be able to get anything done. You would not be able to organize. You would never be uh
able to socialize normally
Okay, if you were to say oh every american every first worlder
that lives in a developed nation is living off the backs of slave labor in the third world, and therefore we are all little neo-Nazis.
Even if the foundations of your argument might have a kernel of truth in it, you have now cornered yourself into an impossible position.
Okay. Crazy straw man's a hop. Brother, I don't think you understand what a straw man is. This is not a straw man. It's an analogy.
Okay.
Of course, one of the things about this community is that because this Twitch, it oftentimes
has a lot of people in the fan base that can't organize in the physical space regardless.
So there is definitely a higher percentage of disability activists in this community
and a higher percentage of people
that get very frustrated when I have this conversation.
The argument that I present always is the same.
As someone who is constantly
under tremendous amount of additional scrutiny,
given my background, for example, right?
in my reception, in the way that I'm perceived by the masses,
I tell you all the time, you gotta eat it.
You gotta eat it, I eat it all the time.
And while it feels welcoming and safe to be in a space
where people are open-minded and understanding
where I don't have to defend my positions
or constantly couch my opinions,
or constantly have to justify my perspective
in spite of my background
and what you perceive as me being biased, okay?
In order to exist in normal company with people
that have a litany of different social hangups
as a byproduct of their social conditioning,
you sometimes have to
force yourself through social contagion to get used to operating in normal society.
Okay. It's not always going to be the safest.
But the goal should be for these communities to be safer and accommodating,
but not so accommodating that it is inaccessible to others.
Okay.
Anyway.
So even if you start with an open mind and you want to make sure there's a safe space,
like this is a clear cut example of people that recognize their own powerlessness in
face of unyielding systems who then try to turn around and feel a sense of belonging,
worth, and power in an environment that they can change, that is within reach.
There are a lot of people who have done this during Woke 1, something I talked about extensively,
The cancellation campaigns, you know, we can't, we're anti-capitalists, we're anti-racists,
we're woke, we want to change the systems, we recognize the systems are unyielding,
it's unchanging, it's impossible to organize to make these wide systemic changes.
But what do we do instead?
We cancel Colbert Report, right?
That makes us feel a little bit better.
That is a hidden recognition of our powerlessness, ultimately.
We end up focusing on things we can change, and sometimes we push for change just for
the sake of feeling powerful.
That conversation that took place on our Zoom meeting is a perfect example of this.
There are a lot of people who are utterly narcissistic that come into left spaces like
this and will use emancipatory language, will lean into emancipatory concepts, knowing
full well that all of these other people are trying to be as accommodating as possible
and we'll listen to them and maybe even make the changes that they're demanding, okay?
The other part of this, the other part of this, this, this concept is that it, like I said, makes it
unbelievably inaccessible to those in the margins who could become lifelong comrades,
and I don't like that it's it's self cannibalizing. Yes, self cannibalizing a movement at the altar of supposed inclusivity serves no material purpose but petty vindication 100%.
I think it's more than being gatekeeping and not welcoming newcomers. It's also actively harmful
pevella who are already there when you refuse to call out slaysh pay slash play into the stuff
people like that noir guy say and do you are making a harmful environment those who are already in
It's letting misanthropic, anti-social tendencies run unchecked if you're accommodating of those
behaviors. That's not safe for others. Exactly. Exactly. Can you explain what you mean by this
and give a specific example? Accessibility politics running amok that turns into
behavior that impedes on further progress and further organizing, becoming a pathway for
others to change their behavior, to become socialists. The greatest example I can give
view is this, okay? Hold on.
If we want to defeat capitalism, we are going to need a party that will organize working
people to fight for the demands that we want and to win socialism. Thank you so much.
Quick point of privilege, quick point of personal privilege.
Guys, first of all, James Jackson Sacramento key him.
I just want to say, can we please keep the chatter to a minimum?
I'm one of the people who's very, very prone to sensory overload.
There's a lot of whispering and chatter going on.
It's making it very difficult for me to focus.
Please, can we just, I know it's raw fresh and ready to go,
but can we please just keep the chatter to a minimum?
It's affecting my ability to focus.
Thank you.
Thank you, Comrade.
Okay, is there a speaker against name chapter thrown up?
Point of personal privilege.
Yes.
Please do not use gendered language to address everyone.
OK.
Hi, everyone.
My name is Sam Lewis.
He, him, I'm from the New York City DSA chapter.
This very simple amendment is to strike the language
about forming an independent party.
In conversation with the authors of the proposal,
fence. I think we're all in agreement that we do want to build a mass
organization, political organization of the working class that vies for state
power. So it's not an attempt to get rid of that shared goal. The problem with the
language as I see it is that it counterposes. I'm not looking on the pause
button. You were gonna watch it all the way to the end. An independent working
class party with the tactical use of the Democratic line. So it's basically
basically saying in the future we will break with our tactical use of the Democratic line.
I think many of us have an agnostic position on that question, right?
We want to behave in the most strategic way as class politics in this country develops.
We don't want to commit to what has historically been a failed strategy in the United States
of forming a third party ballot line.
So I consider this a friendly debate.
I will be voting for the proposal whether or not this passes, but I think it's important
to discuss.
Thank you.
So the reason why I played that clip is because it's something that many people better to
see it and hear it and visualize it and understand it because now you're not the one who's saying
point of privilege, you're now watching it unfold. It's no longer you doing it. It's
no longer your cause, but you're now watching someone else do it, right? So it's good to
see it sometimes as an outsider. So, that's it. This is, unfortunately, what makes a cause
that would otherwise be very helpful and rewarding for many others to instill a sense
of community to organize around same similar class interests, completely, utterly inaccessible.
That's why the number one rule that I have in this community is to be normal, okay?
To be fucking normal.
we are facing an uphill battle at all times in an unbelievably hostile media environment
in an unbelievably hostile environment to our worldview and our ideas we are at the
part of empire here the country that defeated socialism and communism the cold war the country
that has been the torchbearer of capitalism. Okay?
Isn't normal hostile to some? See, the question, that's a great question.
The moment that you start asking that question is the moment
where you are not hearing what I am saying. We
have to be accommodating to the masses. We cannot expect the masses to be accommodating to us.
This, I think, is one of the biggest differentiating factors
between myself and many wonderful, kind-hearted organizers in this community.
Okay.
There's nothing more poisonous and nothing more toxic to the average person who's like,
I kind of like the socialism shit, what's this about?
To be faced with a group of individuals that come in and go, I am morally righteous.
I am correct. You need to shut the fuck up and listen to what I have to say. Okay. That
is not how human beings socialize in the real world. It comes across as inaccessible and
unbelievably anti-social and outright hostile to the average person who is
uninitiated with our worldview.
That's it.
Insufferable is the word you're looking for, sure. This is unfortunately one of
biggest problems. And there's obviously tremendous structural hurdles in front of us, regardless,
right? It's not the reason why socialism is not like is sticking in America, right?
Not. There's so many structural problems that that have effectively neutered this movement,
destroyed class consciousness in this country, destroyed labor unions and any attempt to push society in the direction of socialism.
Having said that, it's probably unhelpful to make it even less accessible if we are feeding into some of the preconceived notions of what it means to be a socialist
an annoying woke scold. I've never done that. And perhaps that is a major part of the reason why
this community is the size that it is. And throughout many different hinge points when this
community has grown, there have always been people that have demanded a retreat over and over
Why are you welcoming these new people? They are reactionary. Why are you welcoming these people?
They are ableist. Why are you welcoming these new people? They're racist, transphobic, this and that, okay?
Some of those people we welcome with open arms and they have changed their minds over time.
Is your goal to have the perfect safe space?
where no one disagrees with you, or is your goal to build a mass movement?
Purity testing, taking a morally righteous, maximalist position, these are,
this is a poisonous for community development, poisonous for organizing.
I think a great example of your point is every fucking news outlet covering you trying to portray
you as a raving radical lunatic when you sit down and talk with people you're very chill,
normal as you mean it, yes.
I was a 23 year old man with no exposure to leftism and I had absolutely no issue accepting
weird, in-air quotes, transsexual people, disabled people, etc.
You can reject bigotry or sex and long before embracing socialism, this is the intersectionality
movement.
There is a difference between understanding that someone's social conditioning have caused
them to have weird hang-ups that lead them to take immoral stances and trying to address
them by sometimes taking on emotional labor versus outright hostility from the jump that
makes it virtually impossible for them to come to our side.
Be cool and be normal.
You are selling an ideology to others who either have never encountered your worldview
or they've only learned hostility towards it.
Okay?
Do you understand?
Be cool.
Be chill.
Okay.
Okay.
unfortunately, many of our friends don't understand, or sometimes even, where this attitude on
their sleeve is, though it's a marker of their moral purity, okay?
though being unaccommodating to others is showcasing your moral righteousness, your moral purity.
This makes us unapproachable and it makes it very difficult to organize.
There's already a lot of structural hurdles that we have to overcome,
So why make it even more difficult?
That's it.
Find a better word than normal. Be combi-patient.
Catch more flies with honey, whatever.
No, I say normal deliberately.
Because normies understand normal.
Everyone wants that most normal people, most normies, in regular society, most civilians,
actually think they're fucking normal.
But unfortunately, there are some of you who think being abnormal is, once again,
showcasing your moral righteousness, your moral purity.
That's why I'm using that word.
Because normies understand the word normal.
Tabish.
It's the same way that the average American involved in politics in any way, shape or form,
recognizes the term moderate everybody thinks they're a fucking moderate oh my
god this person is literally baiting clips look so will you stop baiting
clips for the election normally equals white by the way yes normal equals cis
gender heteronormative white male that's what I'm saying you got it
You got it.
I'm glad you nailed it.
That was my goal.
Christian as well.
Yes, I forgot Christian.
As an example, I hung out with fam and friends this past weekend and was able to talk about
flocked China, Iran, etc. and threw a leftist lens while not pressing them too hard on
every vaguely racist shit they said.
Yeah.
I told you to fucking claim the moderate position.
One of the greatest antidotes, and many trans community members will attest to this, one
of the greatest antidotes to transphobia is just being a cool, chill co-worker who happens
to be trans, okay?
People who have learned very vicious, very violent things about the trans experience
that are just outright wrong will be forced to accommodate to your position if you are
fun to hang out with, if you are fun to be around.
It doesn't mean that we eviscerate transphobia with this, but it's just one example of eradicating
prejudice in your immediate vicinity.
If you treat those who are uninitiated, those who are maybe ill-informed as vicious evil monsters,
and not simply potential future allies, then that hostility will be felt,
and we will never be able to get those people on our side.
And it's funny for me to say this in this community that you all enjoy because this community would not be such a large and relatively safe space
face, or trans people, disabled people, people of color, women, in an outright hostile media
environment, or anywhere else you go on the internet, you're probably gonna be under constant
attack if I didn't abide by this mentality. You would have never encountered this community
because I would still have like 36 people watching.
Okay, that's it.
That's it.
It's a super basic concept,
but I think it's important to reflect on it every now and then.
And the reason why I wanted to have this conversation
was because that reading of that Boston Globe piece reminded me of a community project that started off with the best of intentions that absolutely fell apart because they could not control this environment.
You understand?
So if you're queer and normal, you're good.
If not, get the fuck out.
If you're disabled and normal, you're fine.
If not, bye-bye.
Your point is always well taken, but be normal.
As I always used to run the abnormal out of public places.
If that's what you think is necessary for the movement, okay, but you have to hate on
the people of North Hampton.
that's what I was saying. That's what I was saying. I'm mostly serious. I do think the
normal discourse is worth having? No, it's not because we've already had this
discourse. The very fact that you're in here, despite the fact that I repeat
myself over and over again on this issue for the last eight years, implies that
you already heard it at some point or at least are a beneficiary of it. Every
single person that's in this community is a beneficiary of this mentality. Every
single person that is proud of the size of this community and the impact this
community has had is in some way shape or form a beneficiary of this mentality
you're already experiencing its its impact whether you recognize it or not
doesn't matter it is because I have time and time again purged many folks that
have come in and consistently tried to change the conversation to unproductive
places that is why we have been able to grow in spite of those incidents, in spite of people
whose primary focus was to always make us smaller.
So if you're here, that means whether you recognize it or not, you have benefited from
from the B normal mentality.
B normal doesn't mean like fit the societal mold or if you're queer, if you're trans,
you're weird and gross and a heretic and should go away.
It means that you should be approachable and put your best foot forward at all times.
Yes, but you're missing the point.
It's really sad that all these lesbians in this town of Massachusetts don't have a
board to go to.
I thought there's like hella bars.
I thought all bars in this town are lesbian bars.
That's what they were saying.
Non-yellow parenti agree.
What we have to understand is that identity politics
can go just so far that even if you think
that your greatest calling and mission
is to realize the full experience of yourself
as a Chicano lesbian, whatever you are.
You also have to remember that you're a working person,
that you're breathing the same polluted air,
that you're getting taxed up the kazoo,
that you are being exploited,
that you may not have a job, that you have to pay rent.
You also have all those other issues
and all the different identity groups
that have been working so hard during the 80s and 70s
to distinguish themselves, to develop their own autonomy,
to separate themselves from everybody else,
have to realize that they all have a common enemy that they're going to do it
to all of you. When they come, they will round up the gays and they will round up
the African-Americans and the Chicanos and they will even round up a lot of
angry white males like me and others in this audience. And what we have to
realize is that all these issues, many of these issues are interlinked. That is not
to reduce, there are particular issues that have particular grievances and
particular histories and agendas. Women's issues, gay issues, African-American issues,
that they all have that, and I'm not trying to reduce that to class struggle, but they
all are linked in some way to class struggle, and they all face a common enemy. It is time
for unity. It is time for people to start emphasizing the things that bring them together
and not emphasizing the few things that might separate them.
I'm going to be a normal also includes being charitable sometimes chat feels that a lot
