Dogs.
Joe Brammer, the CEO, literally watched my video and gave a 40 minute response.

So that's one of the coolest things that's ever happened.

And we're gonna go on today and I hope you guys enjoy.
One thing I really enjoyed about Joe Brammer's response is, right up front, he says he really,
really liked the video and he felt everything was very fair and I approached it very well.
And at one point in his response, he actually said I had a journalistic approach, which
I thought was really interesting.
And the reason why I just, I appreciate that so much is for the longest time, I've always
had a ton of people that critique the way that I make videos and just critique me in
general and say absolutely outlandish ridiculous things about me, you know, I can't, I hope
you guys enjoy the video.

Four Dogs Playtest number two, overwrapped up. Here are my thoughts regarding this game so far.
I have to admit, this game has been a roller coaster of emotions, even though I've only played it for probably less than 30 or 40 hours.
There was the thoughts I was having about the game before I played it, and then there was the initial impression,
and then the little bit more of an experienced impression. Then the super experienced impression.
like all of these things have just completely changed what I think about this game how the game plays
I feel like the player base is learning as well
And we're starting to see the game even the beta start to get more fleshed out as people learn their roles
What weapons they like to use etc etc in my thoughts regarding this game are actually pretty complicated
There are a lot of things I'm going to have to establish first before I get into talking about it

Here's why some of the most fun that I've had now
I'm obviously content creator. So for me having those random engagements and talking to people in the game, you know

But in my experience some of the most fun I have had in both the play tests has been
me by myself flying in a helicopter or going to these bases with these random
people coming up with a game plan with a bunch of random fucking dudes and being
like angous and being like listen we're gonna go take this tower okay sounds
good let's do it now yes do you get the three brain cell morons in your
helicopter that just doesn't listen and just runs off and does it hundred percent
that exists. But War Dogs has been the only game that I have been able to have 18 people
in a helicopter and somehow we are all stupid enough to drop in behind enemy lines and try
and take something. You know? And a lot of you guys in the chat were probably with me,
both on stream and I played offline as well. It's hard not to gravitate around you, Hutch.

that is that I don't really know any FPS that gives you a great first impression when played
alone.

Arc Raiders was a fun solo game, but that's because the game intentionally, it was not

There's so many ways to play War Dogs.
If you try and play the way you play with friends as a solo, it isn't good.
But that makes it the same for Squad and Hellot Loose, which is why I think a lot of players
struggle to get into those games.
For me, I end up having to play solo quite a lot because I will play whilst doing work.
A lot of us will be on Discord or working and then we'll jump in and play a few games
and I'll be listening through a meeting or something.
So I'll snipe or I'll do something like demolitions in place, C4 on roads and stuff like that.
So I think it's really about finding your way to play as a solo, but he's not wrong.
It's not.
I think if you jumped into War Dogs as a solo in a late season, I think it wouldn't be a
good burst impression.
On that though, we will have max rank servers so that players that just join later in the
season you will be able to join and you can not get stomped by people with higher rank
in your early days.
That's smart.
If the game is bad, it's not, it's just I'm not going to be able to have the experience
that I want.
Now, if both of these prerequisites are met, War Dogs is a consistently enjoyable experience.
I can confident-

I have had a lot of fun playing War Dogs, and once again, I did not anticipate this,
especially during the build up before I got my hands on the game.
those 10 minute firefights where you're with your friends and you are fighting
so the very last bullet and then you end up winning and you loot everyone and you capture
the tower or you destroy the vehicle that's nuts like it feels crazy and when you're in the action
it is just a very enjoyable experience. Now here is where
No this bit specifically um this is like people who don't like squad this is how squad feels
When you're in the firefight, it's amazing. It seems like Reforger, and a little less
so Hell at Loose, you kind of do run into people quite a lot there. But in Squad, that's
exactly how it plays. And that's how Project Reality plays as well.

to benefit from going from point A to point B
and for you or me to take someone from point A to point B
and not only get them there,
but to put them in a situation where they can be successful

Other times, there are people camping the vehicles
outside your spawn and they're very hard to kill.

or you just get unlucky and there are simply
not many helicopter pilots transporting people

Sometimes this results in too much downtime
outside of the action in War Dogs, in my personal opinion.

but if I see that and I'm in a game
and there's less, there's not enough helicopter pilots.
I'm then becoming that helicopter pilot.

Not only am I looking at that and going,

It's not like flying around the helicopter, in my opinion,
is like top three most fun things to do in the game.
Now, we're different people.
He enjoys, it's like whenever we talk about PvE to PvP,
Some people enjoy PVP, some people enjoy PVP, but like, bro,
I feel like this guy was playing
a complete different game than me right now.
Down time and war dogs makes the fights
that much more satisfying
because your life matters so much more
and the thrill of actually surviving
and the consequences of you making a mistake
are just that much more punishing as a result
of your life meaning so much.
However, I think getting into the action
a little more consistently quickly would not diminish the gameplay of war dobs and the intended pace and flow of the game
For instance, why don't they move the spawns from three kilometers away to about two point five or even two point two kilometers away?
Because what you just said holding your spawn and killing you trying to get out of your base is

You think people go to your spot and camp you now when it's across the map?
Try when it's only a thousand kilometers from the main objective.
Take OBJ, take towers, camp spawn.

But from my perspective, the downtime that you have between these 10-minute fights is
is what makes it, makes you able to play
for such long periods of time.

and a bit of a back to that point, but really,
it's not necessarily, oh, your life is so much
more valuable because you can get into the combat
quite quickly, but you shouldn't think about the zone
as kilometers, right?
You should think about it in time.
It's about two minutes to drive to the zone,
two and a half minutes, depending on what you drive.

quite exhausting for people and quite intensive. And that's what gets to Call of G. Call of
G is like a slot machine. You're always seeing someone in the back, you're always getting
someone like they spawn, you're probably chasing someone who's chasing you. And that's what
we're trying to avoid, right? Effectively, the three team thing is maybe that you're
always getting ganked, but you're also always ganking someone. So it's a very
similar thing, but on like a team scale, instead of just like my new individuals.
So, but that downtime, it can be a bit much for people, but what we find is
that's where we just talk shit. I want the little plan of what we're going to
do this life. And you go and like full send and go straight to the hot zone
every time you are going to have a rough time. Like, that's not really as as the
