of Supercell. Last year I called Brawl Stars for a historic, and I'm about to use that word again for Clash Royale.
Royale's re-engaged players doubled, new players grew by almost 500%.
Every major measure of playtime and engagement grew significantly.
And maybe most importantly, Clash Royale once again became the game to play with friends around the world.
It felt like 2016 again. Has it really almost been 10 years?
I want to take a moment to celebrate this, because what happened is sort of celebrating.
A game approaching its 10th year didn't just hold on. It exploded.
That's extraordinarily rare in our industry.
It's proof of what's possible, this line,
when a talented team relentlessly focuses
on making things better for players.
The obvious question, what did the team do?
So I went to Alexander Sasha Markovich,
general manager of Clash Rowell,
and came away energized by what he shared.
First, Sasha and the team are remarkably grounded
given what they achieved.
Clash Rowell is currently declining
from its recent peak.
So anything they've learned comes to be aware of this.
Then two days later, 48 hours later,
the CEO of Supercell has actually issued an apology.
Now, I was waiting to see this on stream with y'all.

The intent was never to diminish anyone's contribution, but intent doesn't matter when the impact is real.
I understand why it hurts, and that is on me.
Throughout 2025, we saw creators self-organizing tournaments, celebrating Royale through art and memes,
and reminding millions of people around the world why Clash Royale is special.
Creators like Jim C returned to the game with incredible passion,
investing their own time, money, and energy into bringing Clash Royale back to the cultural relevance,
and introducing many new players, including some of the biggest names in streaming to the game.
That kind of love for Royale cannot be taken for granted and deserves to be acknowledged
loudly and clearly. Back to my original post now, but I wanted to address this head on.

If I'm the CEO of that company, the first thing I would be doing is asking so many questions,

Because with this statement, what I'm reading here is that she didn't even fucking know.

And I said that my experiences with Ilka were great. I met him a couple times
Probably eight to ten years ago and all of my conversations with him were great
They felt very personal and feel like I was talking to the owner of a multi-billion dollar
dollar company. He felt invested in me. There was genuine eye contact and care. And so when
the initial post came out, I felt like what happened was he wasn't informed by people that
he put in positions.
I'm so glad I watched this video. Yeah, yes. That is that after reading the blog,
the response, that is what happened. There's no way what he did was intentional, because it's
just so insane to even credit Michael Boland for 2025. Whoever did this were the people feeding
him fucking bullshit. That's what it was. People who probably just wanted to keep their job or
maybe they wanted to get a raise. Who knows? This is all speculation, quote unquote.
So, whoever was feeding in this bullshit was people who were trying to keep their jobs.
About things that were going on.
Obviously, the CEO of a big company isn't going to be deeply hands on in everything.
He's going to hire people that he trusts to do that sort of stuff.
And that's honestly one of the joys of being a CEO of a company like this is as it
gets bigger, you have the ability to oversee things and to build relationships with
people you trust to oversee things below you. And what I think happened as he was in meetings
with the Clash Royale team and all that kind of stuff, I think that the conversations probably
didn't really go deep into what Jinxie was doing for the game.
Which, like, legitimately, as if you're the CEO of the company and one of your,
of your like people that works for you says, dude, this year we had a 500% increase in revenue.
It was because of Michael Bowlin. Like it's just so insane. It's like,
are you not as the CEO? Because you have to be accountable. You're the CEO of the company. Like,
are you not asking more questions? Like, do you notice? Are you not curious at all? If you
