The biggest thing is to go to heroes, probably click a hero, press F1 to read what they do if
you're not familiar with them, and just run, just, you just gotta send it. The best way to
experience and memorize maps and like what the heroes do is to literally just be there.

You might as well just keep it up and have it act as an extra thing for people to shoot

If I just leave it in the full 10 second duration, I'll still be left with a 2 second

Because on a lari's pylon if you break it early or same with torb turret you get to like put it back up

What up YouTube? It's Karku here. Um, I put in a couple of hours on Sierra
I got a lot more games well without having to queue because I just did some viewer games and I was able to spam a bunch of games
So here's my early impressions, opinions and what I think could be some nice quality of life changes on her.
So right off the rip, what's your opinion of her? I think she's a low B tier hero, arguably even C tier.
I don't see any reason in the high ranks to play her over any of the more established heroes
that have a lot more reliable lethality like Emre or Sojourn or anybody in her archetype,
which is kind of like a medium to long range kind of a shooter.
So the ones that translate most to this are like even like soldier. It's pretty good this season Emre, soldier, and etc.
I'm not really comparing her so much to any of the flankers because that's not her role.
But compared to those, I don't feel like she does that job any better than any of the other ones.
So off the rip, I think she's on the weak side.
That being said, I think she's fun and she offers like a unique niche.
And I think her strength is less about this rifle and way more about the grenades.
This thing is actually quite strong if it lands, and her ultimate, which does a disgusting
amount of damage if they stand in it.
So the comps she excels in right now are playing against slow, grounded based brawl or poke.
So if they play clumped up with like a rematra, a sigma, or anything like that, and they play
like very standard on the ground heroes, not fast moving dives, like sure, her grenades
can get some great AoE value, so can her ultimates.
But other than that, like, she lacks the reliable lethality that the other heroes have.
So let's start with her Helix rifle.
I think everything else here is fine with her stats.
This thing starts really wide, right?
Those first four bullets are like here and here, and then they tighten.
But the speed of this projectile is honestly so bad.
I think it's slower than Lifeweavers.
And everybody who plays Lifeweaver knows that, like, yes, obviously if you hit a stationary target,
you can do a lot but if they have any sort of movement tracer or anybody if you're not tracking them reliably and
Sierra kind of feels like obviously like the shoot shoots a lot more bullets
But it's the same problem if they have a tracer like I'm doing this. I'm doing this like this weapon itself is kind of ass
Just my opinion right now obviously that ties into her tracking shot, which is the bread and butter and it's what makes her her however, it's a
10 second cooldown. So it's like if you can't you're just SMGing like this it's fine if you
spam into a magra or any ground base heroes but they play any sort of diva Winston anybody
that moves around too much like what are you spamming at. If you play too far from a person
the travel time is too far if you miss this one tracking shot every 10 seconds I don't
know I just don't think it's it's very good versus someone like Sojourn who can like you
you know, farm the actual rail shot.
This SMG is honestly even better than her little Sierra's spam.
And then the rail has more lethality.
And the rail can come up, like, as frequently as, like,
you know, every three seconds, especially your two seconds,
especially if you stand and boom.
By the next target, I have another full rail.
Like, the uptime for lethality is way better on Sierra.
So what is her niche?
I mean, she plays uniquely with this anchor drone.
But I think this anchor drone also has its own issues.
Right now, there's no benefit in breaking it early.
I think if you break it manually
without using both your grapples,
if you just use it once with no, like one grapple,
maybe it'll, if you have one grapple left, excuse me,
maybe you can cut off like four seconds
off the cooldown or something like that, right?
Cause all it does is all breaking it manually
with a G on my key bindings there or interact,
it's just gonna stop you from pressing your shift
or your grapple accidentally.
So right now, if I break it early,
like nothing three, two, one,
It's a 10 second duration on a 12 second cooldown.
So whether I break it immediately now,
it goes on a 12 second cooldown,
or I just leave it up, use a grapple,
and break it early, I still have the same, same cooldown.
So maybe a benefit to breaking it early
without using both charges.
Now the drone itself has,
I don't even know how much HP it doesn't say it.
I think it's like 30 HP.
I think for this thing, A, you can buff this
to like 100 HP, so it's kind of like a back lamp, you know?
Someone actually has to commit maybe an ability or a couple of shots like cast has to two shot it
Does it actually say it? Where do I see it? Oh, it does say 30 health. You're right
100 HP and lower the hitbox. Do you guys know how big this thing is? This is quite literally wrecking ball size

Like right now when I if I want to use this aggressively into battle this thing just dies to a stray bullet
Because a it's HP and B it's hitbox. Let me find the quick clip for you right now

So do you know how the drone looks like this right this thing?
If it's making contact here, that means this thing has an imaginary hitbox this wide
So that's what I'm saying a random stray bullet is breaking this thing
So two solutions for this drone obviously the cool down part is a and then B
100 HP make it smaller or honestly you can even make it invincible where the enemy can't break it
I don't even think it's that bad if you make it intangible to the enemies
You got one grapple you get two grapples every 10 seconds like and you compare that to the mobility creep
We're not really mobility creep when you compare some heroes you can do shit like this
I honestly two grapples for a hero that needs to get in relatively close isn't even that bad like sojourn has two slides
When you get her perks on runs got blinks and all these dashes again, like I don't even think people will be mad
I wouldn't even be that annoyed when like if she can grapple twice to it
Sure, because the thing is if it's invulnerable and I see it I can probably if I'm an enemy
I can predict it goes in a straight line right now as far as I know you can't do any like crazy
movement cancels off of it so for now so it's not even that bad you also go in a
straight line like I just said it's like weaker than like Mercy's Guardian
Angel movement and it's pretty easy to track like so that's too two possible
solutions was Anchor Drone which is like a fun part of our kit which is
arguably pretty weak tracking shot maybe you can even lower the cooldown or
something but yeah it's too long of a timer before like 10 seconds before like
any realistic lethality comes in but that brings her to the Trimadrard this is
actually a good ability. I don't have any feedback on this. This is genuinely one of the stronger ones.
There's some great AoE damage, and it builds up her ultimate really fast, which is also really
cheap. It only needs 1800 ult charge to build, as it says here. Thermal charge is good because,
what's it called? It only makes it so it does damage on the ground. If you throw it on the wall,
it does nothing, so I've been doing that by accident thinking it's Emery all the time.
Anybody with any sort of verticality can obviously dodge it, so there's good counterplay,
But if it hits it does good damage. I think this is a good ability no feedback here
Ultimate honestly also really good and it builds cheaply play her like a pulse bomb like tracer
Just play for your ultimate and then just just send it as soon as you get it because you can get your trailblazer every like 30
To 40 seconds. So honestly just whenever you get it don't even wait. You just just let it rip
This thing does a lot
And I think however, I do think it suffers from
Domina's panopticon effect where it's just a knowledge check right now
People are still dying to this a lot because they stand near it obviously when you see the bombs on the ground everyone's
Panicking and side stepping and trying to run away, which is a good option
But the next best way to avoid it is all you have to do is literally be
Six meters or five meters above the ground and you take no damage
So I don't have the clip here
But I tested it where like if she does her ultimate Sierra enemy all coming up you can pull pistol
This jump height is enough to take zero damage
So a lot of people can counter easier than you think if I'm a Baptiste
I should never die for this. I see the Sierra things. I just do this. I take no damage
Honestly, even like Sigma levitation take no damage doom you can get out diva you can eat it
Hazard you can you just block to not take too much damage. You know, just leap away a
lot of people shouldn't shouldn't be dying to it that often and people will die to it less as time goes on but I mean other than that
It's a cheap ultimate to build. I think it's pretty good
overall so

It does kill through Mizuki if you fire the drone through it so it shoots inside
So overall her weakest part of her kit is I don't think her weapon is very good
You can honestly increase the the projectile speed
I think it's 85 meters per second and even life weavers is a hundred meters per second
Don't quote me on that math, but I think somebody told me it's slower than life weavers and I'm inclined to believe them
Okay, so yeah problems with anchor drone this this is good. This is good
Recon Subroll is actually not bad when like you obviously mark someone you can still see them through the wall
I think it's pretty good
But what sucks with this Subroll is with this major perk called Medidrone where if you hold a medkit that can heal Sierra
I think this perk is not that good. I think this medkit is just a mini
I think if they made this perk a mega it would probably be pretty good
Let me actually go and order the perks. Sorry. I got a little distracted
Oh when I get to the major and I'll touch back on the Subroll in a bit
So we have full flight versus tight grip and I've been using tight grip a lot more because I like I
Think her rightful is the weakest part of her kit
So tightening the spread on that to make it a bit more reliable seems to be much better than getting extra
Flight and grapple simply because my drone just dies on stray bullets
Even if I ever want to use it aggressively in front of me
So inherently I'm already if I use it defensively sure now it won't die and I have grapple distance
But what good is that when I can never get the second grapple back if I choose to use it
of aggressively and they just break it so damn easily thanks to that large hitbox and whatever I said so
I'm always taking tight grip for the DPS A and then B which I think is good you know you help it out
um I feel like this perk has not that good simply until they big buff this
and for the major perks I still take locked on because of the attack speed is super useful as
well for better reliable DPS puts her closer to the power of sojourn but not really um as long as
As long as you fire the tracking shot, you get a deep attack speed, which is obviously you don't even have to hit the tracking shot.
I can miss it and still get the attack speed. I didn't take the perk, but the point stands, I rely on those.
I don't think the Medidrone one is that good because it's simply just a mini health pack and the mini doesn't do much for you in the sub-roll.
So right now it's a mini health pack that is 75 HP only.
And because there is the global healing reduction of uh, what's it called?
When you damage people, the global debuff of healing is 30%.
So like that health pack is healing 60 HP, or 50 something HP after the reduction.
And remember, my drone can just randomly die.
So that thing is useless if I go to it.
If I put it up and I want to go to it and it gets shot mid-air, okay, where's my health pack?
It's dead, it's already gone.
65 HP is what I just healed right now, but yeah, like you have to make this invulnerable,
I think, or again, the rationale earlier in order for you to justify and take this.
If not, tight grip and lock then are just so good because the drone is just so ass right
now.
So these perks are unclickable in my opinion after testing her and playing there for a
bit.
You have to take these two just to increase her like DPS power level and even then it
doesn't match Sojourner or any of the other reliable DPS that has more
lethality than her. So overall again I think I said low B tier earlier. Nah I
take it back. After explaining my rationale I think she's a C tier hero
right now and could definitely use a lot of fine-tuning and that's just my yeah
early day one impressions. She's kind of suffering from the on-run effect where
like early on she was really weak. Same with Emery they came out weak and now
they buffed them a lot where on-run this season is solid. They buffed her like
five straight times. Same with Emery they buffed them early on in a hot fix
patch mid-season patch all that stuff and Sierra needs a little pass through I
don't even think she's on the safe side of strong she feels pretty weak to me
and that's my early thoughts on her what do you guys think and what other
suggestions do you have I don't know if I'm cooking with the anchor drone idea
somebody said vantage from apex is vantage is thing shootable or no or maybe
the good concession is if you get the medidrone one you can make the drone
unkillable then but maybe by default make the drone hitbox obviously shrink it
way more because we saw that video earlier was number one and give it like a hundred HP and okay
and then Medidrone if you do take this one you can make it unbreakable that's actually not a bad
middle ground too or Vantage you said it's not shootable and is Vantage even OP in there I don't
really think I don't haven't heard much about the I'm playing apex in a while but yeah and there's a
delay on the right click shoot oh yeah a little wind up I think if this thing came out instantly
like a rail shot that's a good suggestion thank you I forgot to mention that it goes a long way
where Mizuki came out there was actually a small delay before his primary came out and then they
did a little quick pass through where it went from like 0.7 to like 0.5 seconds or they cut the
delay before the first thing fires out and I do think these little delays make some heroes feel
just a little clunky and that could be a quality of life thing for for Sierra to be able to just
Instantly fire something out like this this rail comes out instantly
And Sierra
Small delay on this tracking shot and a small cast delay on the drone
If you can even speed those animations up for another quality of life pass here
But yeah, if you guys any more suggestions for the hero, that's where I stand on the hero
