Top the hit in the regular season. With the all-cleaving the league and falling short
of winning another trophy, the former MVP became a sought-after prospect in the off
season. To that end, Quid fans himself on one of the most successful teams in LCS history
and the only teams that ever lift a trophy more times in a row than any other.
To say Team Liquid quit is a player to watch in the LCS would be a massive understatement.
I think Team Liquid, they have most experience I've ever been in my entire career.
So, I'm really excited to learn from KOR and I want to prove that
HHS team can compete against Asian teams in international tournaments.
So I try to focus on that and I'm a player who can be meaner.
Yeah, I mean, these first season as I said, I just seemed like a player that had the tools,
but wasn't able to put the tools together, especially in big moments.
And I think that these NBA season, especially going into last year,
what you saw as a person would play better in big games.
And I think that that's a sign of a great player.
And when I look at Quid, I see someone that has, you know,
gone through the hard part of the beginning of his career
to now be in a place where he's very comfortable
with his gameplay, comfortable with his style
and able to perform on that biggest stage.
We're so back.
But for Quid, he never left.
I think it's really good for me if Gangwookies are doing all
because this just shows up what you're missing out
potential like NACL players or Tier 2 players.
In almost every sense of the word,
LCS team disguised RN anomaly.
They're a guest team, not a franchise team.
They live and practice in an apartment together
rather than some fancy facility.
Instead of being owned by some business figurehead,
they're owned by a streamer who used to wear a bread
slice on his face.
We always refer to Toast as boss man,
because he is the boss man.
He's not shy about his opinions of what's going on.
I'm putting me the legends for that.
But disguise of the transgression is one that seems eternal.
Something that the community for better or worse is always latching on to.
They're not good.
Consistently being powering at or near the bottom of the league going into a given season,
disguised have been the floor of the league since they debuted.
I mean, I was a flip between TL and Cloud9,
but I'm doing Team Liquid, Cloud9, Shopify,
Then Lion, FlyQuest, Sentinels, Dignitas, and DSG.
So when the 2026 SCS season begins, DSG find themselves in a familiar place.
At the base of a mountain, staring up at seven other teams that are supposed to be better than them.
Starting the season with VZ issues, almost all new players and the shadow of doubt looming over them,
Disguise seems doomed to fail. But with two talented rookies hailing from opposite sides
of the development ecosystem, there's promise in this roster if not a lot of faith in the
untested side. So, can two rookies save the worst team in the LCS? Well, they might have already.
To understand Disguised in 2026, we need to look back at how DSG came to be at all. As it turns
out, one fateful tweet on October 30th, 2022 would trigger a chain of events that leads us to
current day League of Legends. As well known streamer Jeremy Disguised posts Wang tweets,
Yo, who's the best available unsigned Pro Valorant player at the moment, thinking of starting a team?
That shot into the void would lead to the first DSG equates team, and less than 8 months later,
a familiar looking message would hit the timeline on May 22nd, 2023, leading to disguised NACL roster
of fake-code, Tomeo, Young, Reach, and Zazel, signaling their entry into competitive League
of Legends. They rostered that would end up winning the 2023 NACL Summer playoffs and sending
two of their players to the then new Shopify rebellion. Unfortunately, the team would not
see continued success in Tier 2, but would get another break in 2025 when the LCS introduced
the guest slot. A qualified system which gave teams a chance to play in the big leagues,
something that the LCS hadn't had in more than a decade. Back in the old days, the bottom teams
would play the top qualified teams that came through the circuit in the promotion relegation
tournament, with the stakes being a ticket to the LCS. Once the league franchised,
the old tagline of five guys and a dream faded into obscurity. As the league became
a closed system for the teams that had bought in. The new guest slot gave that path back,
however narrow it might be, reigniting the idea that five players that looked good enough
could go from nothing to something. The SkyTool ever were invited to the league in 2025 to
fill that slot, as the qualified infrastructure wasn't in place yet, something that lent more
doubt to the teams that found themselves now among North America's biggest names.
After a string of last or near-last place finishes that included both mid-season roster
and coaching changes, DSG would end 2025 and went to actually play for their spot
backing to the LCS, just as the system intended. Which they successfully defended, taking out
Luminosity Gaming 3-1 in the final to prove that they were just a flash in the pen invite
but a team deserving of their final slot. That brings us back to 2026, where DSG finds that
they have to rebuild basically their entire roster thanks to the newest team in the LCS.
Sentinels. Once I knew that it wasn't going to be feasible to attain our 2025 roster anymore,
we kind of wanted to blow it all up. It turns out that what the guest slot provides a way for
fresh teams to play at the highest level, a callback to the Halcyon days of the
religions esports that saw teams like the original Cloud9 turn into household champions,
it also creates instability that can be unattracted to prospective players.
Even if disguise defied the odds and save became world champions,
they'd still have to play for the LCS slot at the end of the season.
This led Jungle XU to leave for his X-team Dignitas, while Darkwing's Rheal and Huudu
were all snatched up by Sentils, leaving Castle as the only remaining piece.
To make matters worse, Cryra, the rookie jungler that the Skies had picked as their first new player for the team were in a bit of a busy issue,
meaning that DSG came into weak one not only in Anonymous 8 for the Dive Power Rankings, but without the player they'd built their team around.
So, with veteran LLA support Lions, Elsage Challenge and BitKalmy, DSG's only veteran Castle, Rookie bot laner Sajed and substitute jungler Kisner,
they walk into their first series in the LCS with most of their players having never played on this stage before.
And who were they playing? Well, because the LCS script writers are really good at their job,
they're obviously playing the team that took all their players, Sentinels.
Against all odds, Disguise managed to upset Sentinels and win their first series on the LCS stage.
But DSG! They took down the Nexus turrets! DSG! They didn't need those three out of five members!
They just needed this one shot!
With four month most valuable prospects a-jed,
being more than his fair share of stand-up women,
which leads us to more formally introduce the two freshest players that DSTU have brought in,
N.A. Rookie's Sajed Pen-Kryra. Hitting from opposite ends of the competitive landscape,
and I don't just mean the USA and French Canada, come two players looking to prove themselves.
Sajed is a former Fly Challenger of AD, the same team that Marcel has owned before he won the
most valuable prospect award, joined the main team and won two championships. After his time
on Fly, Sajed joined collegiate giants Maryville, arguably the most robust tier two organization
of the country, where he experienced the daily routines of a competitive league player, a
system that honed him for his eventual LCS debut.
Cryra on the other hand is a long-term challenger player that has been a top-ranked ladder player
since he was 15, while Sajed is eerily like Maso in terms of his team-fighting mechanics,
consistently finding ways to dance around his opponents and maximise damage.
Cryra on the other hand?
I don't know what else to say, Cryra just sends it.
So two rookies, one from one of the most prestigious amateur programs and another from T2 and the
wilds of NA solo queue, convert on a team that is unlike any other.
Unfortunately, once week 2 rolls around, Cryra is still not on US soil, and so DSG go again,
This time against the LCS's other rookie-laden team, FlyQuest.
Even after a 2-1 loss, DSG with their substitute jungler are starting to instill some belief
into their collective consciousness, which is made even more impressive by the fact that
Kizno barely screamed with the team at all, as they still prefer to mostly practice with
Cryra ahead of his debut.
Mercifully, by week 3 of walking, Cryra does arrive.
The bad news is that his debut game is against the reigning MVP and clear best jungler
in the league, Inspire.
Surely, the team and everyone doubted before the season even started, and had to play with
a sub-jumble is going to follow up against one of the top-rated teams built to the brim with
talents of recent history and the best Western player of 2025.
Surely.
Their win against pre-season top 4 contenders sets them up for another date with rival organization
Sentinels and even in a close series loss, the potential of this team is showcased once
again.
Despite that, DSG find themselves in a spot where they can still win it all in their
first split with basically a new team.
But most importantly, DSG is just fun.
In an era where Esports has ballooned into something much bigger than when it began,
to me, this guys represents a modern take on the game we all fell in love with.
The team continuing to invest in rookies and establish competitive rosters for the fraction
of the resources makes them fun to cheer for.
Players like Cryra and Zjed getting a chance to shine, being given the time and energy
to bloom into the place they could be is a great thing for the region, which says nothing
of the moments that Castle, Cormie and Lions have already shown this split as well.
More than that though, I think we just need a team like Disguised in the League, a team
whose graphic design sense is more practical than the college, a team with only enough
resources for a single coach, a team that reminds us that what we have in North America
is worth getting excited about, a team that reminds me of the sport I can tell
I'm up with, a team that doesn't just make me remember the past fondly, but
one that also makes me excited for its future.
It's no secret that VSC is a little bit lower on resources than everyone else, but so like we've got a team house, we take our manager's car to the LCS studio.
We're kind of like humble livings, but I don't think it really matters too much.
I think it just matters like what the people in the room are doing.
And if you guys are being productive and you have goals, I don't think the resources really matter that much.

It is actually the best game of the ever.
When I first joined SES, I was really bad.
Like one of the worst mid laner in SES.
Picture this.
You're the first new team of the franchise era
to ever win a North American championship.
After that success, you continue to build fandom,
create exciting rosters,
and generally accommodate yourselves into a sport
your organization wasn't formally known for. You hit a point in your history where you have
one of the most exciting star-studded rosters in North American League of Legends history,
and while the lustre of names like PXN and Doublelift don't quite bring out the same way
they used to, you also have Korean-turned domestic legends someday, your star-turkish
jungler that was the MVP of your championship season, all alongside some of the most exciting
young talent in the league. As exciting as it is, this iteration of Hundred Thieves does
not work out. Finishing third in the regular season during the spring of 2023,
but bounding that early in the playoffs and as expected, if still painful for everyone involved,
the greatest midlaner to ever grace professional North American League of Legends is retiring.
As Bjergsen finally puts an end to his incredible gaming career.
Imagine being the player that is forced to fill these shoes.
If that sounds like a big ask, it is.
But come the summer of 2023,
100T settles on a young Korean talent to fill the shoes of the most veteran player of the
position ever.
From Gen.G challenges comes Quid, a player who's no stranger to being compared to
the great players he's surrounded by past or present. Genji is of course home to Chovy,
arguably the greatest modern midlaner to ever play, who it turns out is having one hell of a 2022
season. So off to a new region to play at a level he mostly hasn't yet. Quid moves from South Korea
to the endless southern of Los Angeles to play with the same stacked roster that Björksson left,
and he is to put it nicely, absolutely horrible. Quid's rookie split is marred by mistakes,
errors, and a general downturn from a team that looks like it's worn out the shine it
had when they first slipped in a trophy. So when the year resets and the 2024 roster
is revealed for the AUG, fully 80% of it has been replaced. Every single player will
retire or move on to a different team, leaving just one thief standing for the previous season.
Their head coach even leaves for another team, as the AUG promotes their former academy
coach to lead the new squad, something he's never done before either.
Seemingly doomed to fail, with budgets presumably tightened and the team trying
to regain their footing almost from scratch, who do you think this single player left
on the roster is that same mid laner who season this historically bad, Quid.
And the best part, by the end of the split, he's going to be the league's MVP.
My first impression was just that he was like pretty good in lane if I'd ever interacted
with him solo queue because I try to interact with most players in solo queue just because
it's fun.
Like a funny guy and it was like nice to lane for some because he was always playing
solo queue.
My first impressions on Quid was probably a lot like everyone else.
I think that he joined a pretty underwhelming under thieves and it seemed like he suffered from pretty big stage nose
To be honest, I had also seen him scream because I watched the LCS team scream in my spare time as well
And I thought that he had like a lot of potential
So like to me he was just like a young Korean kid that like came in with like a ball of mechanics
I had a vibe as opposed to like the macro side of it
I thought that if he could just get over
what was holding him back on stage so it would be a really good play.
To get to Quidd's transformative spring split, we first have to go back to his debut split
just before it, summer 2023. Despite the weight of such a legend of the game retiring,
the only slightly changed hundredthies roster actually began this season with a W, a good
sign for a team looking to continue their regular season form from spring 2023 where
they finished third, before crashing out in back to back best of fives in the post
season. Given that the only change coming into summer then was mid lane, it's a good
Good thing the team starts off with a victory to swirl their confidence.
The problem is that the player in mid lane isn't a young South Korean talent but another
old Danish guy.
That's right, coach Nuke Duck actually had to feel in for Quid due to visa problems at
the start of the split and shockingly they won with the Ducks Ari holding up quite nicely.
Quid's actual debut game though, it's perhaps an omen for the rest of the season
as it's an absolute disaster.
anyone in this league and when I play against Jojo, I felt that this league isn't that easy.
I just try to practice more.
Scoring off against Peak form Jojo Pyun on Evil Geniuses who would later be crowned the
splits MVP, Quid ends the game getting literally outfoxed by Jojo's Ari and ends the game
a bleak 1 and 8, getting solo killed and just generally gapped in the process.
And the trajectory does not improve from here for Quid, as 100 thieves spend the
season treading water and trying to find any semblance of stability, even losing their
final week tiebreaker game to Dignitas to finish in 8th place, scraping themselves over the
finish line and into the last playoff spot.
Starting in the lower bracket against Team Liquid, Quid finds himself facing the other
even newer to the League North American Terra APA, who are fairly unceremonious through
everyone lost ends their season.
While the team had flashes of brilliance throughout the split, nothing added up in a way it promised
on paper, with veterans some day, closer and double lift not hitting the ceilings of their
former glory and rookie support Buccio trying to find his feet in the big leagues the same
as his mid laner.
While Quid's ego would never be bruised quite the same way as his first meeting
with Jojo Pune, for the most part 100 thieves beat the not so good teams and a massively
underperforming Prince-powered Flyquests and lost to everyone else.
Of course, this started the same old discourse it always does.
I tried to not care about what communities say.
I knew it's going to be something I didn't really try to watch there.
Yeah, I didn't try to watch there.
Criticisms directed at just about everything you could think of,
with Quid's play becoming a focal point for 100 tees downsizing
and as always people calling for a change.
And a change did come, but probably the one people didn't expect.
While some called as always for the ejection of any underperforming player,
others looked at a truncated split from a player that had barely any time to adjust to his new team,
let alone a new country, and wanted to see what Queer'd looked like after having a bit more time to marinate.
Instead of changing midlaners once more, 100thies changed literally everything else.
Even Coach Newtuck, left for GoldenGlu, who had formally been the team's academy head coach,
brought into the fold to lead the main team for the first time.
Apart from Grayson, the other notable acquisitions on a roster that looked like quite the downsides
from the previous veterans contained Rookie Top laner Sniper, brother of former NA Pro
Viper called up from the Orcs Junior Squad and previous finalist Jungle of River, a player
known for playing for his lanes and making solo laners shine. A revamped, youthful 100T roster
that had in some ways nothing to lose. The only veterans were River and Australian support
Ailer and all of a sudden, Kuiid is the longest tenured player on the Orcs main
League of Legends team after not even half a year with them. Clining up in his first
First game of spring against the same team and mid-limit that knocked him out of playoffs,
Quid faces APA in his zigs once more, but this time the story is very different.
Unfortunately when he meets his other North American nemesis, reigning MVP JoJoPin who's
now on Cloud9, it's yet another Gafferney.
Come week 4 though, against the same Akali that gave him trouble in the opening week
and Quidd finally gets some revenge.
Whoa, it gets JoJo stuck on the right side of it, now Seismic's shot.
Oh no!
He's on the unraveled earth!
A colleague ain't gettin' out of that one, baby!
Quidd, pick it up again!
As the curtain closes on the regular season, everyone starts to notice the same thing.
In the games that thieves are winning, Quidd is carrying out of his mind in most of them.
Winning players of the game more than any other player throughout the regular season,
the Quidd masterclasses are a treat to watch.
Whether it's his Yone or a control match like Taliyah,
Qid has somehow completely reversed his fortunes from spring and is playing like the prospect
he was promised to be.
He even pulls out Vega of all champions in the last week of the split against defending
champions NRG.
From a player that began his career in North America getting embarrassed by the region's
most prominent mids to finally shaking off his demons by taking them down and propelling
his team to a second place finish.
Playoffs however does not go to plan for the young, aggressive minded thieves as
they run into a rampaging lore bracket team liquid on their own historic run, but the
skill on display, particularly by Quid, has not gone unnoticed by the peers or the public.
After debuting against Jojo Poon to begin his career, merely a split later, he takes
the title away from that same player to be crowned the MVP.
I was really happy that I won MVP in the season. When they first joined NACIAS,
I was really bad, like one of the worst mid laner in NACIAS, and in next year
I proved that I'm a good player and on display I proved myself, so I'll do it again.
Turns out if you give a player the right environment, good support, and just a little more time to prove themselves to you,
that pressure turns calls into diamonds, and nobody into the player everybody else wants to be.
The Thieves' excellent run would continue in summer 2024,
despite a rocky regular season, with Quid continuing to show his prowess on a host of different champions,
but all with the same eventual outcome.
When he has a good game, he carries you from the start of the game straight into the enemy nexus.
A third place in playoffs at the end of the year was good enough for his first world's appearance
in 2024 and the opening split of 2025 saw the thieves finish atop the heap in the regular season.

I'm putting me in like this.
The disguise of the transgression is one that seems eternal, something that the
community for better or worse is always latching on to you. They're not good. Consistently being
powering at or near the bottom of the league going into a given season, disguise have been the floor
of the league since they debuted. I mean I was a flip between TL and Cloud9 but I'm doing
Team Liquid, Cloud9, Shopify, then Lion, FlyQuest, Sentinels, Dignitas and DSG.
So when the 2026 LCS season begins, DSG find themselves in a familiar place. At the base
of a mountain, staring up at 7 other teams that are supposed to be better than them.
Starting the season with busy issues, almost all new players and the shadow of doubt looming
over them, disguised seems huge to fail. But with two talented rookies hailing from opposite
sides of the development ecosystem, there's promise in this roster if not a lot of
faith in the untested side. So, can two rookies save the worst team in the LCS?
Well, they might have already.
To understand Disguised in 2026, we need to look back at how DSG came to be at all.
As it turns out, one fateful tweet on October 30th, 2022, would trigger a chain of events
that leads us to current day League of Legends.
As well-known streamer Jeremy Disguised post-Wang tweets,
Yo who's the best available unsigned Pro Valorant player at the moment, thinking
of starting a team.
That shot into the void would lead to the first DSG E-Flots team and less than
Eight months later, a familiar-looking message would hit the timeline on May 22nd, 2023,
leading to disguised NACL roster of fake-god, Tomeo, Young, Beach, and Zazel,
signaling their entry into competitive League of Legends.
They rostered that would end up winning the 2023 NACL Summer playoffs
and sending two of their players to the then-new Shopify rebellion.
Unfortunately, the team would not see continued success in Tier 2,
but would get another break in 2025 when the LCS introduced the guest slot,
A qualified system which gave teams a chance to play in the big leagues, something that the LCS hadn't had in more than a decade.
Back in the old days, the bottom teams would play the top qualified teams that came through the circuit in the promotion relegation tournament, with the stakes being a ticket to the LCS.
Once the league franchised, the old tagline of five guys and a dream faded into obscurity, as the league became a closed system for the teams that had bought in, and new guest slot gave that path back.
However narrow it might be, reigniting the idea that five players that looked good enough could go from nothing to something.
Despite however, we're invited to the league in 2025 to fill that slot as the qualified
infrastructure wasn't in place yet, something that lent more doubt to the team that found
themselves now among North America's biggest names.
After a string of last or near-last place finishes that included both mid-season roster
and coaching changes, DSG would end 2025 having to actually play for their spot back into
the LCS, just as the system intended, which they successfully defended, taking out
Luminosity Gaming 3-1 in the final to prove that they were just a flash and
and invite with a team deserving of the final slot. That brings us back to 2026, where JST finds that
they have to rebuild basically their entire roster thanks to the newest team in the LCS, Sentinels.
It turns out that what the guest slot provides a way for fresh teams to play at the highest level,
a callback to the house soon days of the Regalurgian Esports. It's all teams like the original
Cloud9 turned into household champions, it also creates instability that can be unattractive to
prospective players. Even if Disguise defied the odds and save a king or champions, they'd still
have to play for the LCS slot at the end of the season. This lit Jungle XU to leave for his X-team
digging tusks, while Darkwing's or Hell and Hoo-Hee were all snatched off by Sensibles,
leaving Castle as the only remaining piece. To make matters worse, Cryra, the rookie
jungler that Disguise had picked as their first new player for the team, ran into a
easy issue, meaning that DSG came into weak 1 not only a unanimous 8th in the die power rankings,
but without the player they'd built their team around. So with veteran LLA support Lions,
LCK challenger mid call me, DSG's only veteran Castle, Rookie Vault Linder Sajed, and substitute
jungler Kisno, they walk into their first series in the LCS with most of their players having
never played on this stage before. And who are they playing? Well because the LCS
script writers are really good at their job, they're obviously playing the team that took
call their players, Sentinels. Against all odds, Disguise managed to upset Sentinels and win their
first series on the LCS stage. With four month most valuable prospects aged, they more than his
fair share of standout moment, which leads us to more formally introduce the two freshest players
that DSG have brought in, N.A. Rookie's Sajed Pan Khaira, heading from opposite ends of the
competitive landscape and don't just mean the USA and French Canada come two players looking to prove
themselves. Sujet is a former Fly Challengers AD, the same team that Marcel is on before he won the
most valuable prospect award, joined the main team and won two championships. After his time on Fly,
Sujet joined collegiate giants Maryville, arguably the most robust tier two organization in the
country, where he experienced the daily routines of a competitive league player,
the system that honed him for his eventual LCS debut. Cryer on the other hand is a
a long-term challenger player that has been a top-break ladder player since he was 15.
What's a dead is eerily like Masu in terms of his team-fighting mechanics, insistently
finding ways to dance around his opponents and maximize damage.
Cryra on the other hand? I don't know what else to say. Cryra just sends it.
So two rookies, one from one of the most prestigious amateur programs, and another from T2 in the
wilds of any solo queue, conveyed on a team that is unlike any other.
Unfortunately, once week two rolls around, Cryer is still not on US soil, and so DSG go
Again, this time against the LCS's other rookie-laden team, FlyQuest.
Even after a 2-1 loss, DSG with a substitute jungler are starting to instill some belief
to the collective consciousness, which is made even more impressive by the fact that Kisner
barely screamed with the team at all, as they still prefer to mostly practice with Cryra
ahead of his debut.
Mercifully, by a week through a walk-in, Cryra does arrive.
The bad news is that his debut game is against the reigning MVP and clear best jungler
in the league, Inspired.
Surely the team that everyone doubted before the season even started,
now had to play with a sub-jungle is going to pull against one of the top-rated teams
filled to the boom with talents of recent history and the best Western player of 2025.
Surely.
Their win against pre-season top 4 contenders sets them up for another date with rival organization
Sentinels and even in a close series loss the potential of this team is showcased once again.
Despite that, DSG find themselves in a spot where they can still win it all in their first split
with basically a new team. But most importantly, DSG is just fun.
In an era where E-splits has ballooned into something much bigger than when it began,
to me disguise represents a modern take on the game we all fell in love with.
The team continuing to invest in rookies and establish competitive rosters with a fraction
of the resources makes them fun to cheer for.
Players like Pryor and Zjed getting a chance to shine, being given the time and energy
to balloon into the place they could be is a great thing for the region, which
Which says nothing of the moments that Castle, Colony and Lions have already shown a split
as well.
More than that though, I think we just beat a team like Disguised in the late.
A team whose graphic design sense is more practical than the polished.
A team with only enough resources for a single coach.
A team that reminds us that what we have in North America is worth getting excited
about.
A team that reminds me of the sport I fell in love with.
A team that doesn't just make me remember the past fondly.
A one that also makes me excited for its future.
It's no secret that DSG like it's a little bit lower on resources than everyone else
But so like we've got a team house we we take our manager's car to the

I have a lot of faith in him.
And I really like their team fighting around the Jed.
However, on the day, both called me, well, OK,
the first couple of games he was good.

They need more time to play together
and iron out some of these issues.

The throws, especially in this game, is what people remember them by.
Even in Kespa Cup, that is what started the entire question mark with the team
team is that they had a huge lead versus Nunchin and then through in that series like they will
be a little bit over eager. That has been my problem with the team thus far. Yeah. And we need to
call this out. I know some people probably are just here online. There was an interview with XU
after the series that he had with Cloud City that FBI knew that the final engage was coming
and he thought he'd outplay it. Yeah. He said in calm and we actually pulled the
calm to confirm this story so that we need to see this

And that speaks to how TL have been pretty rocky.
pretty rocky, I mean definitely undershooting expectations significantly because they were
crushing scrims, players on all of the other LCS teams are fearful of Team Liquid and they
still are even with the stage performances that we've seen.
And that's the weird thing with Team Liquid for me because there is a huge disconnect
between what we hear that they are doing in scrims and what we see that they are doing
on stage.
And for what it's worth, I feel like most of the time, scrims do correlate to stage.
I know the take that a lot of people have is scrims don't matter, but it's because when
they don't match up, it's always so jarring.
And it's like a specific case of when they're not matching up, which is what this team is
doing because I imagine like the two best teams in scrims are C9 and TL.
It's translating for one of them and it's definitely not translating for the other.
It's crazy because like, I remember I think it was a dominant C9 piece that mentioned
team liquid is not a stage team, DSG is a stage team.
And the concept of them being a stage team is like, well,
we see DSG and scrims and they're not performing at all.
Even the idea of like, oh, why did we not pick DSG?
Like Vulcan making the jokes of like, oh, let's not pick
DSG because they're not performing well on scrims,
but they picked Sentinels because, oh, at least they
ended up repicking FlyQuest because they had scrims.
They already played them on stage.
They already had like previous experience with them.
So it's like these two teams, both DSG and Team Liquid,
have such polarizing different, I guess, viewpoints
of one team is able to do it on stage
and Team Liquid has not.
You know something else that has not been syncing up
for Team Liquid, kind of like the scrims to stage games,
has been Yon from last year to this year.
Yon and this TL bottom lane is basically
what TL rebuilt this whole roster around.
And to be fair, we also were all of last year.
Oh my God, Yana, Core JJ, this bottom lane,
everybody fears them.
They're so good in lane phase.
They carry a lot of the games.
Yana was a big centerpiece, a big carry for 14 liquid.
And his stats this year are like bottom two.
For most of the stats for AD carry roll,
they're making some mistakes in lane phase,
which had been very, very rare for them.
And then also something I found very interesting
when I went to go deep dive on these,
he actually is getting the,
well, second to least CS of his team,
this one at the bottom, between 15 and 30 minutes,
teams usually get to choose where they give CS,
the easiest CS, and they usually will funnel it
into AD carries, but Yon down there at seventh place,
between the 15 and 30 minute mark
is getting the least percentage of CS.
Which means, generally, Kwid and Morgan are just goblin' it up.
Well, it depends.
Who else, right?
It's not CoreJK.
But it's a combination of things where
Yano was this big, reliable carry for this team all of last year.
And that is certainly not working out.
And he's also not getting strong for the teamfights

OK, so what I'll say with Team Liquid is they're just not
synced.
They're trying to just win every lane rather
than playing a controlled stop.
Like, yes, Korda, Jey and Yon are playing like maniacs,
but it's well-quitted Morgan are also playing like maniacs.
Like, they just don't have that team balance.
I think the Canary in the coal mine
is the CS 15 to 30 minutes, where it is clear that they
just don't have a cohesive plan of how they play.
In fact, I think Team Liquid might work better
if Yon takes a bit of a step back, plays safe,
core roams more, and they play off Morgan and quit.
That could be a better strategy for them.
Yeah, it would just be so different
because last year, another one of the stats that was up there
was damage percentage of the team's damaged dealt.
Last year, Yon was a huge portion,
and now he was eighth place of damage dealt
percentage for AD carries.

Welcome back to the LCS it's super week here at the Riot Games Arena and it's do or die
for many of our remaining competitors.
First up, Disguised have had a much stronger start than last year but after a tough game
5 defeat last week there are only one series away from elimination.
Their opponents, Team Liquid, return to the stage after barely qualifying for brackets.
They haven't had the performances many fans were hoping for thus far and they've got to find their stride if they want to stay in the running
Can team liquid get it together or will DSG knock them out and pull off the upset?
Let's find out right now ladies and gentlemen
I'm captain flowers joined by a sale and Emily for this best of five where the loser is done till spring

Now that you say it I also want to know if we're
like trying to pass off fake money is real money and in the
lounge doing that it is I am going to go ahead and say we are not
trying to do that for anybody watching at all. Yeah cover our bases.
I like I like how you think but in in looking at these two teams the big thing to me and the kind
of surprise in all of the analysts especially Razz's prediction is how confident they are in
They are in team liquid. I know so many of us put them at the top of our power rankings
I do still feel like there's so much more pressure on them in this game
Yeah, because of the names on the roster and because of preseason expectations
Coming as the lounge already pointed out from those scrims where everyone I talked to and I know you guys had the same
Had the same result is everyone was saying they were absolutely
dominating everyone. Yeah I mean the reality is if TL lose here though it's
kind of the same result as as summer last year right where it's like they fell
out you know you'd be fifth six and that would be a massive disappointment for
this team that rebuilt retooled got quit who was kind of the hottest off-season
prospect to just have the same results as this disappointing finish in summer
would be crazy so yeah they are still feeling pretty confident in team
Liquid, but I don't think they've shown us enough on stage yet to really kind of earn that confidence
So they have to be able to show us here today
How well they can play against the DSG who has been very competitive. They went five games against Sentinels
They've been good throughout the lock-in tournament
And now it's time to see if TL could really step up and become the team that we kind of all expected them to be
Yeah, exactly. And I think this is a really really nice pick up coming out a first pick for
DSG taking away the rise from quid. I feel like when TL have been using quids playmaking
or kind of going for set plays, a lot of it has been when he's on this rise pick, they
seem to have had a lot more success in terms of moving around the map with the rise.
He gives you such easy access to side lanes. So really nice pick up coming out of TL,
coming out of DSG rather.
They absolutely agree. I mean, it's also going to be comfort for call me. And
I think Colmy has a pretty rough games against the Sentinels.
A number of the DSG players did, to be frank,
have games that work on below their expected standard.
Lions had a really shocking series.
Carrara had some moments that really did not go well.
So I think there is also this question for DSG.
It's like, can you shake that off?
Can you kind of have that Goldfish memory?
Forget about the last series.
Just go back to playing how you had been playing prior
to that series because there were definitely
some tough moments in it for a number of these players.
But I will say Castle was a big standout.
He was playing really really well. I think Sujet has been fantastic and they're gonna walk in the Nami Corky
A really powerful bot lane duo here and of course Sujet and Lyon, so we'll see how they can form on that
Yeah, and as we see on the TL side them walking in Unora and Niko another really strong
Bot 2v2 coming out here for TL and I think TL bot lane has been the focus not just of the team
But of other teams right we saw even in that best of one
against Dignitas, they split the map, they made it a really huge point of pressure
to try to attack that TL bot lane. As we see the Mbessa coming in, most likely going
to Morgan, but could also be going to Jose Diogo. Yeah, there's always that
possibility of it being a flex. Castle's most played by a lot is the
Renekton, so they're gonna ban that away, which is also we believe is gonna be
Mbessa top. You're trying to deny some of these more difficult matchups
here. But DSG, obviously, gonna be pretty happy. You know, not only did they
first pick but they got full counter pick of what we're expecting the bot lane to be, you know,
yeah, quid could potentially take the eco but we're expecting that's the full bot lane so they
have the answer there, they have the priority mid pick and still respect though from DSG that it
could actually be a jungle and Vesla because they're banning out the Gwent. Yep and I mean
kind of covering all of your bases also could be something to set up for potentially whatever
Castle wants to pick, um, did that say my boss quit today, sorry, came to LCS? Sorry, I got distracted.
Uh, as the Jays fan coming out, uh, against DSG as well by TL.
The Castle is one of these guys that is very flexible. Obviously the Nassus pick got a lot of attention,
but he loves some of these kind of like solo queue answers and various picks, so he's more difficult,
I think to predict to which I do think is why we're having some more of these top lane protection bands coming out there
And if you're gonna be taken away has become kind of the de facto answer to rise these days and competitive is really risen in popularity
Around the world had been more Casio that people had been looking towards but I feel like people just got so used to that matchup
We're able to pretty easily respond to it just with phase rushing out of out of the Casio W
Whereas I think it was really difficult to deal with as you see it as if they're listening
the Casio Hover, but it will be the Taliyah locked in for Quid going up against that rise.
And we'll see what DSG will respond to it on the other side.
And it's going to be the first Taliyah for Quid so far this year.
Of course they haven't played that many games, so not a big deal.
It is one of his most played all time.
I was going to say, when I used to think of Quid and River working together on 100 thieves,
They ran the Taliyah in both positions actually, but they also ran that Taliyah by so, so much.
So we know how powerful Kui can be on this pick.
As we see the meatball machine as Clayton was calling him last week, the scion locked
in as that front liner for DSG.

So there's your front line on the side of DSG meanwhile for team liquid the last pick coming through here
What is it going to be to round out this roster?

Rundle is
is going to be lost in as that final pick for Jose. Really interesting pickup. Not something we've seen him play yet thus far this year. Yeah, I mean, I think
Trundle is extremely strong. Anytime I sign on us in the game, you just get a ridiculous amount of value from this pick because you are leeching
resistances. You are taking a percentage of their health and just chunking them instantly with that. Yeah. And it can kind of turn
Trundle, you know, into a super take himself, right? Like you can become very difficult to knock down. So I love it
The pillar also has great interactions, you know with the sign of Altie you can block out that sign of ultimate
No problem with that. I do think it's a really really powerful pick for a lot of different reasons
Also love Trundle into squishy champions like Nami without a dash
You just throw down the pillar behind them that can make it incredibly difficult easiest setup for seismic shelves for public
for these types of skill shots come through.
And talking about the Scion as just being this premier tank,
Trundle being able to shut that down,
being able to create the opportunity to punch through that brick wall on the front line,
I think is so important.
I especially think it's really important when you're having to deal with the Wukong also right next to him,
who's going to be jumping in trying to create a lot of disruption himself.
So excited to see what we get here in this first one,
as we're loading onto the red for the first time in this best of five.
remember this is for the life of both teams. If you lose here, you are eliminated.

Yeah, and I think the big thing that we should be looking at again for TL is this bot lane
because I feel like they were such a stellar 0.4 TL last year.
We talked about how Yon was the best ADC in the entire LTA at the time.
And in the 2v2 meta, I was really, really expecting TL to kind of have a stranglehold
on a lot of these 2v2 matchups, and I feel like they've slightly underperformed compared
to my expectations, but I also do feel like a lot of teams have been targeting them as
we see them already getting the Flash out of Sajed.
Yeah, Sajed kind of just overstaying their TL got two first, and Sajed clearly wanted
to try to fight for it a little bit more, ends up losing his Flash right off the back
of that, so that already is a nice advantage, especially, you know, as we said, Trundle
can take advantage if you're missing that Flash, if you're overextended.
you have Valk, but he just really has to hold the pillar until you Valkyrie, and then
you're pretty cooked.
Both junglers are on the bottom half of the map now, so Jose Dioto with the control over
bottom lane that his duo has should be able to have control over that crab very easily
as well.
You would have to think, or maybe there's the opportunity to punish that flash like
we're talking about.
There's even more playmaking there.
Yeah, as we see them all the way pushed up to turret doing a really, really good
job of completely taking over the push on this bot side and really, really nice looking
for this TL bot lane thus far.
Castles having a great time up here in the top side.
Getting that one shoved in on the scion has a lead of a few minions, but really nothing
crazy in any one lane here just yet.
Jose Diodo is going to make his way towards that bottom side crab exactly as I was expecting.
And you can see the passing from private just heading towards the top side river knowing
There's not really a way to contest down here for this bottom one.
This isn't a C9 game.
We're not going to see the first crab battle.
I mean, especially when you have full push from TLS5,
there's just not really any way for Kyra to contest that.
And you have that strong set on top right now,
as Castle has been laning well.
I talked about it a little bit during champ select,
but I think he has been fantastic for the team.
Really was a good performer in their five game series,
got a lot of attention from the Nazis, but was great.
I think pretty much across the board in that series,
and is going to have to also show up here today.
Morgan was a guy who received so much hype,
I think, coming into the season.
A lot of players were even telling you
they thought Morgan might actually
be the best player on their team,
even though he hadn't really been getting talked about a lot.
Whereas everyone really was focusing more on Quid
and Yon and this sort of thing.
So it's going to be a pretty heavy expectation on Morgan.
And we haven't really seen that player show up
that I've been hearing about from scrims yet on stage.

think Quid being able to facilitate that with his Taliyah is going to be very important.
We're talking about the guy who was seen as like the big piece during the offseason
that so many teams were trying to fight for and it hasn't looked as good as I think
pretty much anybody was hoping so far.
Yeah, no, I completely agree.
I mean, I think he's had some really good moments,
but as they covered on the lounge, you know, before the day,
the reality is he's had some really bad moments too
that have cost them pretty heavily.
And that is kind of the weird thing about TLS.
You watch them individually, they all look really good.
For the vast majority of the game,
the team play is good.
They're creating big advantages
and then the wheels just fall off, right?
And they're kind of having these moments
where you're like, all right,
you're clearly on different pages.

he was getting interviewed and he was on the lounge
and just talking about the fact that he felt like they were not going for plays that he would expect him to inscrime.
Ooh, nice. They get the flash out of call me because Jose Dioto shows up after the phase rush had already propped.
Call me had already got that burst of speed and so didn't have it to try to get away from the pillar.
That meant that Jose could close the distance and as soon as the threat of the chomp for the further slow is there,
the flash is forth. Nice quick move there from Jose.

Core JJ goes in for the flash root and there's the extra kill 2 to 1
Yeah, nice it played there by core at the end to grab that extra kill
But honestly not that bad for DSG considering they didn't get the crab
So Jose had six generally that means the fight is gonna be disaster
But so Jen had some really nice positioning kind of wrapped around the backside was getting a ton of damage down
and that's what prompted cryra to fly in getting to get that first blood car had been kind of just harassing Jose in the brush here
Yeah, as we see the crab fight begin. I really like how both mid laners actually end up trying to go
Only the clone gets trapped by that pillar
So then we see sujean kind of wrapping around on the quirky and he's able to get so much damage in
and then along with the Nami bubble to kind of stun up Jose and then this is just a really
nice play off the back recognizing call me does not have flash core JJ immediately goes
in lands the route and that kill goes over to play well play good CC chain is well though
from the DSG side to be able to take down the shuttle it's room prison in the Nami
bubble so Jed is behind him I thought they played that quite well it definitely could
have gone a lot worse given the scenario but at the end of the day you know yawn
and both get a kill, so Jed though showing off that level 6, the power of the Yanni and
the Corky, extremely high burst and then you look at his inventory you're like, well
surely he has some big damage, he's got a key over the crystal and he's here in some
boots.
I also want to talk a little bit about Lyons, right, because I thought he had his absolute
worst series he's had in their series against Sentinels as we see potential
scuffle over this red buff. Big Invade coming out from DSG here as they want to
fight Jose for the Team Liquid Red Buff and it looks like Team Liquid is
just going to decide okay we don't want to fight for this it's too big of a
risk. DSG brought a whole lot of bodies here and they're gonna get the
red buff for it. Morgan goes for the public execution there onto Castle,
finds some quick snappy trades but honestly not a whole ton of damage.
Yeah, and I like how they played immediately, DSG rather, how they played immediately off
of that bot side pressure, right?
They recognized, okay, we can go in for this invade.
Some of DSGs invades have been, let's just say, highly optimistic in some of their
previous series.
But I like that one because of how much damage to Jett was able to get down in that
bot lane and then recognizing that they could go in immediately for that I'll go
back to what I was saying about Lions really quickly in that we're looking
for kind of a redemption series from him and that really skirmish is already a
really nice sign with the Nami bubble doing a lot of work there right there
you can see Team Liquid looking to see or something maybe they can catch the fish out of water
I'm such a curse it's very unlucky well he does survive so curse averted for now
But it's pretty hard to go deathless on Nami, so you know, maybe it's just lingering, you know

Ido, the whole team was supposed to be basically built around Cryora, who they didn't have
at the start.
They were playing with Kizno, who they had played three total scrims with, three games.
That's the totality of his experience in LCS scrims, and they did great.
So DSG just kind of has been this Cinderella story, and the question is, you know,

defensively keeps the mid laner for DSG alive.

And honestly, I'm a bit surprised to see
Sunder's guy as the first item coming through here
for the trundle in pro play.
All right, Sandy checked myself, but 96% of the time
that is the item purchased.
So, you know, we'll see if he is gonna go
into like later try force or something,
a bit more weird, but obviously Sunder's guy
does have some sustain on it like that's a main kind of advantage is that if you
are able to get autos out on a bunch of different people you have some more
healing but Trundle just works so well with Triforce like it's just so ingrained
in the kit because the attacks can be really useful moves before so we're
gonna miss tries to get a bit tricky but yeah I completely agree with you
Triforce just feels like it's such a good Trundle item so we'll see how
much value Jose is able to get out of this sundered sky top lane scuttle

you want to be able to apply map pressure
wherever you are, taking down the mid tier one,
Well, we felt so bad.
It hasn't been a bit of a slow burn game,
but I mean, this G has a slightly golden advantage.

The arc of ruin lines it up, and they knock it down.

This has been such a massive swing for TL.
I mean, it's huge.
They just went from down 800 gold to up 2.3K
in the blink of an eye.
And it feels like kind of just some unforced errors.
Almost, I mean, so Jett had no, had no Valq, right?
Cause he used it aggressively,
but he did have his flash, didn't use it.
Then Cryra tries to clone over the wall,
clones into the wall, doesn't use his flash either.
He dies too.
And it does feel like they just kind of gave some freebies over to TL.
And that was your two most fed guys.
Those were the guys that we were praising earlier as those big individual gold leads.
Nearly 1,000 gold ahead each.
And then, yeah, the aggressive Valks.
You love to see them when they result in those big bursty trades in lane
when the Corki is able to have that priority, that control.
But then he gets a little too aggressive.
He gets a little overconfident.
And Team Liquid are fast to punish.

Yeah, the court, he's in trouble again. The damage flows through but there's not quite enough to kill him through the barrier here just yet, so Jett stayed alive for now, still fighting.
But does finally fall, treated for Hoseki Oto. Cryra gets over the wall there with his clone, has to use that side clone as well.
Morgan's going to grab the tier one turret up there in the top lane at the same time and team liquid continues to play aggressively
Around this Fed you know, I yawn 3 1 and 2 has to fully completed items working on the third very very scary
Yeah, it's really nice to see again the pillar usage coming out of Jose
I think has been really good with TL trying to chain all of this CC
And yawn again. We've talked about how strong he can be on this you know

But it's really coming back and now every time DSG try to make

I just love the emphasis on move speed here for Jose he went three points Q into five points
So here's so additional movespeed then he has a dead man. She's just so fast
Okay castle trying to frontline here as Morgan flies into the back line, but he's gonna take a ton of damage from DSG
both top laners get chunked down very very low here. The scion obviously the
tankier one has Morgan trying to wrap around see if he can get some pressure
onto this guy. Remember this is sole point. If DSG can secure the drake, Slam not
gonna do a whole lot of nice follow-up sides. McShulk coming out from quid
forces Castle to flash away dragging down to about 40% HP. DSG still gonna take
the objective as Kriva has to force Morgan back away. Team Liquid carries
under a little bit of pressure. Castle about to die. Hosebioto gonna
I grabbed the kill on that one.
His Lions is burning so very low,
but he's not quite dead here yet.
Castle's still trying to make a little bit more space,
but Team Liquid will take the fight.
They will take the Drake,
and they will stop DSG stacking.
And also, out that Teamfight,
you could see even with a few TL players
getting a little low,
they were able to blow so many flashes off of DSG.
DSG, as soon as it seemed like one member saw an angle,
they ended up having to back off
because all of the damage coming out of TL.
And we kind of all came down to Castle
getting caught on that top side.
New feature to go in, gets fillered, gets
side boosted up then, he's incredibly low.
And then you look on the other side of the map
and it's a completely different story.
Morgan is threatening here.
The battle lines completely break for DSG.
Lions is kind of caught awkwardly,
just trying to run away in the middle of the fight
to jettest by himself while Carlos trying to duel Morgan.
Everyone kind of seemed like they had a bit of a different idea
whereas TL, they had this early trade of health
and you think, okay, well surely Morgan's
gonna be less useful.
But he threatens on the flank
after pushing out the bot wave.
The other core four of TL stayed together
where DSG got kind of disjointed and a little bit split up and that cost them that third dragon.
Yeah, and going into this the question was going to be for TL like how well coordinated are they thus far.
We've seen some really really nice like little marks of play from them that I think make them look a little bit more unified going in than some of their previous outings.
Liquid is lurking and call me is finding himself in a very compromised position.
Weaver's wall gonna chase after him, Sy's makes shove, knocks him out of the realm warp and
there is no way home for the rise.
Now, Yon on a killing spree, team Liquid picks the enemy mid laner.
He'll be dead for the next 45 seconds, but what's the follow up move from there?
Yon goes forward, still has the ulti with the arc of Ruin to try to force the SG away
from the tier one turret.
Now, Castle's gonna be the target.
Sion is not as tanky as they'd want him to be Morgan just cuts him down
Pose the auto makes it so easy with the subjugate
Yeah, I thought they were gonna straight to Baron
But it said they just make a collapse on mid lane and they do look for a hard engage
And we saw Morgan fully committing that he didn't look for a flash ult on the Nami which did get flash
So that was kind of wasted but again castle goes down now
They will return at least threaten the Baron, but of course we know it is going to be a bait
with that seismic shuffle to hit Cryra, that could have been the play, or maybe they'll get it anyway.
Cryra down to 20% HP, tries to use the Cyclone to get away from it, but CoreJJ with a beautiful pop blossom
stops any chance of DSG recovering there. Now with the jungler dead for the next 40 seconds,
Team Liquid seriously looking at that Baron.
Yeah, absolutely. You see, again, the chain CC coming out of this TL pump.
They're gonna knock down at least the scuttle there get full vision over the entire top side of the map here
And I really love the interaction that they actually used to catch Kyra
So this is one of these things that you don't always think about so the size of the chub missed
But what Jose did is he placed his pillar directly on to the wukong to bump him into the unravel dirt
So he gets stunned by the Taliyah II even though the size we chub missed just use that little boop
Knocks him into the rocks. He gets stunned up. They chase him down. They knock him down
So it's very well played by TL, utilizing that trundle and getting a big advantage.
And now the map is completely dark for disguised on this top side.
So we see TL kind of cleaning up camps, potentially looking for more picks, pushing out this top wave.
Good side step.
Yep, that was really, really close there for Cryra, as Morgan now could find himself in a bit of a tough spot.
Suggested that the damage of the wall valks forward chasing after the team liquid top laner,
but they don't go any further they're afraid of the team liquid counterattack well and castle is afraid of that wall because he
Uped straight into it, so
Who decided it was gonna be mountain rift?
That's some crazy TL bias from the game design
Terrain is rooting for team liquid
There also could have potentially if TL wanted to go for it been a really dangerous wraparound there, too
But no, they're kind of content to keep baiting out with Fog of War on this top side.
And this just feels like classic TL with a lead. Make the map very dark for your opponents.
Lurk around in the jungle. Try to find a couple of picks to then continue making your big plays after that.
Castle is going to be the one who has to face check things here, but man, this map is so scary.
Fog of War everywhere. Lions is just going to drop. Yon gets the last auto. That's a free kill for the Unara.
And now Port J.J. hits a three man pop, awesome.
Private tries to save himself, but Morgan takes him out.
Castle's in the middle of everybody, as Morgan can fall back before he ends up
happy to give his own life.
Now Castle gets knocked down, enemy jungler, enemy support, enemy top laner
all out of the picture, and Team Liquid's heading to Baron.
Just like you said, the way they play with Fog of War, I love whenever you
see Kor waiting in the bush because you know he sees the play.
He's looking for the angle, really, really nice stuff coming out of his Niko once again.
Yeah, fine, it's a great engage, I mean, it's a hassle walking forward, but he's just not really that threatening, he's not really that tanky.
No one is there with him, so he steps up and posee just starts slapping him.
And again, Lyons is kind of on the wrong spot, he was separated from the team.
The team seems to be a bit disjointed on how they want to approach these fights, so he just gets chased down by Yon for free.
core finds this big pop awesome and that that feels like now the wheels have fully fallen off at this point
Yeah, as we see them looking for castle here
And the big thing that I want to call out again is just core waiting here
You know, he wants that engage to go in immediately. You are auto so he pop blossoms in the air
So it actually was perfectly timed. I thought that's what he might have done
But I didn't know that even though like the animation goes off early it actually stuns where you land and look like so

And I think they're playing around his aggression so, so well, with the insane amount of CC as quick as in.
Yeah, they're going into the Weavers, wall and immediately Lyons is caught.
Yon finds the arc of ruin there under Cryra. They want to get a second kill here if they can, but Cryra gets away for now.
Call me, gonna reinforce him. Meanwhile, back in the mid lane, Yon looking at Sajed, Cryra wants to go in after the team liquid.

for now castle doesn't have the damage call me trying to get something as at
least quid will fall John right next to him but call me loses his life in the
process Morgan gets the killing speed there on to
the jet and it's only castle still standing on TSG beautiful use of the
public execution of offers through the decimating smash Morgan guarantees the
ace and team liquid looking for the end of the game and Bessa does not
care about the towers at all as core is even to be able to survive
objective bounties are available soon. That's the cope. We're going for some bounties here.
Just get some of these shut down, pick up some towers, easy kill, more for 1k, you know?
Well the game's not over at least. It's still going. DSG's still in there but man, 10,000
gold difference. Team Liquid still with the Baron for another 10 seconds. The power play
up to almost 3500. This is looking grim. And I always just feel like when you have the
the luxury items coming through like Zonia's, Seekers, GA each one of those is one nail in
the coffin, right? And that gets so difficult because when you're behind, you're always hoping
for a catch out. You're always hoping for a one shot. That can maybe, exactly, it can
maybe even out the game. But when everyone has their tools available to keep themselves
alive, it gets so hard. Yon is really your only reasonable target by trying to fight
through a trundle through the pop loss and through the Ambesa to get in on them
is just almost impossible.
They were already having issues with that going in.
Like the fight that led to the base break was exactly that, right?
Like Cryer goes in on the Wukong, tries to get a pick onto someone,
and then is immediately seceded by the Niko.
So they were already having issues with that,
and now everyone has a lot more survivability.
They put it in the enemy blue side jungle,
looking to push through bottom lane now.
Remember, the mid lane inhibitor is already destroyed,
So TL is going to try to find opportunities to pressure here in the sidelines
You can see the wave pushing out top but nobody's on split push duty just yet. Cryra is deep behind enemy lines
We're going for the long con here DSG knows
They have to get a pretty insane engage to have any sort of a chance at all in a competitive fight
And Cryra is the one looking to set up
I mean the real problem is even if he finds like a five-man cyclone the damage dealers have to be there too
He's only on two items. He's not going to be able to do it at this point
Quick pops his ghost not gonna find a whole lot of efficacy for that here.

That was just one quick sequence that they had that makes me more confident for this team
because it's not like they just win every lane by 3000 gold and therefore win the game.

good tips for Ezreal.
The thing about Ezreal is, I think it's very good to take lethal tempo on Ezreal these days,
especially in solo queue, where you can just stat check the enemy opponent.
As soon as the minions spawn, and you get to lane, so let's say the enemy champions are
here and here, you really just want to be stacking your Q, so your Q is on a 5 second
cooldown, but if you land it, it'll be like on a 4.5 second, like so, and then
your attack speed goes up, so right now it's already 0.90, and then around this
timing and you have four stacks you really want to be fighting here and then
let's say you land the last Q as well right? At this point you're gonna have
at least like 1.20 like a tax feed and it's gonna be completely OP if you decide.
Not many people will know and those qualify you and will probably just end
the bling because of the tax feed story you have.
I actually love hearing from the pros and we get to see these little tips and
tricks things for stuff you would never think about because I would
never think about lethal tempo on Ezreal. I barely know how to play Ezreal at all, so
that's very helpful. But now if you have to. Now if I have to, I'm locked in. Thanks y'all.

I really think the Aurora here officially for DSG because both Castle and Coleman can play it right so being able to keep that flexible is quite nice

Zinjiao locked in right next to that Aurora to so to scrappy junglers here in this one
could also gank very effectively early.

but the buy-Auri combo has been seen in other leagues,

Lions Bard is gonna be a bit of a jump scare
for some people after last week.

Yeah. And I mean, I do think his Nami game and game one, there were some mistakes, but
it was, you know, better than definitely his last outing. The Bard, I think, was the game
that everyone was kind of looking at being like, okay, he's having a really, really
rough series. So we'll see if this can be kind of a similar redemption for him.
I will say, you know, Bard is a pretty solid laner. So like that is maybe why they're
going for it. Like, hey, let's just try to protect Kaisa, you know, keep, keep
us stable in this lane. But when I think about Bard in really winning situations,
I think about carries with low mobility that are easy to ult.
I don't really see that as being Kalista and Ari, right?
You know, Kalista's hopping nonstop,
and Ari has dashes on the ult and the movespeed on the W.
So to me, I'm a little bit concerned
about the efficacy of the Bart ults.
So we'll see if he can prove me wrong.
Yeah, and I do one other pick that I do want to point out,
because they did slam it so quickly,
is I do like the Renata against a lot of what DSG
are going to be trying to do, right?
Like kind of stymying any sort of engage or reengage
they're going to be making in teamfights.
If you can sync that up with like a really fat rumble equalizer
across the team, that could end up looking really, really good
for TL.

DSG showed promise in the early game of game number one.
We'll see if they can repeat that and get it all the way
across the finish line here in this one.
I think in particular, talking about the bottom lanes,
talking about Yon and Core wanting
to play for lane dominance.
Remember, it was to Jeden Lions
that we're constantly getting very good trades on them
in the previous game.
The Corky aggro was very strong.
It ultimately ended up being their Achilles heel
at the same time, but this bottom lane 2v2
should be pretty fun to watch.
It's going to be a lot of fun as we see these two trading
pretty heavily.
Once one starts trading, you kind of
have to keep trading the autos back and forth.
You don't want to give up any sort of disadvantage.
The minions spawned so early that these level and trades
are way more impactful, right?
Because you can't just take a quick base.
They're both just going to be starting down a potion.
and about a half HP.
Yeah, and both of their junglers are starting on the top side.
We'll see if I keep hoping for this.
It's even less likely now in the current meta
to see someone go for any sort of cheeky level two gank.
I don't think the health missing for either mid laner
is going to be the difference maker here.
But it is always a possibility that I like to call out
when stuff like this happens.

Also want to talk a little bit about playoff experience
between the two teams.
core, no surprise there is going to be absolutely dominating the field as far as the experience.
But 55555 all down the way until Lions, that was their first playoff series for four out
of the five members for DSG.
They had never played a playoff game before last week.
So for so many of these guys, they now at least have one under their belts.
They have a little bit of that stability.
Even the people that are like, oh yeah, Morgan doesn't have that much experience.
Well, he still has more than the four of the five combined.
So TL, definitely expected to win, definitely have that big experience advantage.
Yeah, especially coming out of, I love talking about kind of what Core has meant for this
team.
We saw him have an absolutely stellar game one, but listening to players like Quid and
Jose Diodo kind of coming onto the team and talking about how much Core means has been
really great to listen to.
I'm glad you bring up Quid and Jose Diodo because Quid was giving Jose a hard time
about the start of last game I'm not panicking I'm just telling the fact I
charge my mouth like once a week but this one was a zero yeah you panic you
charged you charge to charge to 51% and use randomly panic my mouth is 20% my
mouth is 20% no no wait wait I was saying the champion select went up and I
one second 20 times like ah shit you're nervous man I wasn't
I love it man Jose Dio D'Ode not charging the mouse up enough we'll see how much
charge he's got on this one because hey his team at least has total control over
the bottom lane Kalista Renata if you're a jungler and you see that as
you're bot lane you should know that you will have control over bottom side
grabs yeah absolutely and it's a little bit of a different look this time
coming out of TL bot lane.
We've talked about how they want to play through having powerful 2v2s.
We've talked already about how strong Yon was last year and having a little bit
comparatively of a down split to start this split one, but again,
going to be able to get that bot side crab back and we see him headed up
towards his camps again on the top side.
Yeah, I mean, so Jen obviously had to take a pretty early base here.
It does get back.
gets the call but at least now he's back to full health he has a potion he is in
base we'll see if they can kind of stabilize and and keep this lane in
this current state for a while because John hasn't been able to get back to base
has been any gold so right now things are about as good as they're gonna get
for a while for that bot lane 2v2 on the side of CSG.
All of our junglers are back on the top side of the map now we did kind of
just have to handshake for the crabs obviously if you're in cryors
position you know that you're not going to be able to contest against
the Kalista Renata that are hard slamming the lane for that crab.
So you just walk up to the top side, checking in on Morgan versus Castle.
Again, the rumble with a 10% win rate so far in this early play in LCS 2026.

Initially, the early push in that lane was going over to the Galeo as expected,
but he should be able to at least push this wave in on the top side.
We did see flash for flash here in mid lane as quid wants to go for the charm

He landed being able to get so much health off of call me earlier on

They're gonna be able to look towards that being said Aurora is pretty tough to knock down
You have the invisibility you have your all ring kind of bounce back and forth and sometimes put you know
Vi who is alting in into a pretty bad spot
But I would expect quit and Jose to want to group up as soon as Jose is six
And we'll see if there's gonna be a fight over this bottom side scuttle as Jose goes back to base
But assuming he gets right out and grabs that he's gonna be the ones first six
Yeah, remember that the bottom side scuttle fight the the third scuttle crap was our first big scrap in game number one
It was damaged to both sides
We didn't end up seeing a Drake take right after it or anything similar as Hosea de Odo and Cryra
Both gonna show up close to the mid lane here both mid laners have their ultimates available
By with the wind becomes lightning jumps in after Jose but a lot of damage coming out from quid cryra in danger
Remember there is no ultimate here from this inch out to use defensively to try to escape
He does however have a lot of honey fruits there.
Lions walking up through the ribbon now to
Importantly both mid laners using their altis quit only has the single charge left wants to get a little bit more damage
On to call me who has to hop away as core JJ goes forward wants to land a handshake pulls them back
Weirding does keep them alive though, and that's first blood over to DSG cry

Honestly for DSG the fact that they not only get first blood
but also their AD carry did not move so Sujet ran straight back towards bot lane
He's gonna be able to get some farm here to try to even things out a little bit

Yeah, double turret shot there really doing some serious damage to yon's health bar
But yeah, Sujet needed that time to try to catch up the massive gap in CS is going to start causing some serious issues

But things get started pretty early with them trying to jump
onto Call-Me, core landing the handshake here,
but then and the charm follow up,
but Cryra being able to go in and then Safnac already in the back line and then being able to clean up the kill onto this in-job
I mean honestly it could have been worse, but Lyons missed the binding
Yeah, it's a bad one. They used Fresh and Fresh
It's one of these things where Bard gets those fights so quickly because he has a magical journey
He gets in really all he needed to do is land that heal and he gets in range for the heals
He'll be able to help keep Callme alive, but if CORE got found under the tower
He could have potentially been going down as well
So it could have been even worse there for CL, but at the end of the day, they do still have this slight lead.
And Jan is really most of that as he is a couple hundred gold head.
That gold lead is going to feel even better since they got the early first drake and it's an early ocean drake.
Since we're still in the laning phase when that first drake is claimed,
it means you're just going to have all of the extra sustain making those trades that much more annoying for DSG to try to contest.
They are down about 20 farm in the 80 carry matchup specifically.
But you have a lead for call me in mid lane.
I'm curious how well they'll be able to play around that here with the Aurora.
We know this champion can be very dangerous,
since she has to go in very close range to get her damage in the larger fights.
We know that that close range is especially dangerous against Winata,
as the top laners scrap back and forth a little bit here.
And it looks like both of our junglers will just be passing through mid.
We're really going to have to see how TLXQ on these dives,
because when you have R.E. Vi, you have Kalista.
like it's so obvious when you are going for those plays, which can make defensive Bartolt's
really high value as Jose caught on Ward.
Yeah, Jose Dioto could be in some danger here, tries to use the ball breaker to get away,
has to use the ulti to try to bluff her through it, but it won't matter, call me, gets the
kill, Jose goes down.
That's a punish for not checking those brushes, right?
He's just recalling on that ward that is in that side brush, didn't know it was
there, loses the ult and dies, so losing that burst ult definitely hurts.
This is a comp that wants a snowball, that wants to play from ahead.
You have the defensive Bartolt, you have the potential counter-engage from the Aurora, you have the Galio ult, like there's so many tools there,
where if you don't watch on someone at the start of the fight for a TL, the GSG really could take over.
Yeah, and that's where our TL are really, really going to be looking at the power of this bot lane as we see Yon and Core continuing to play so, so aggressive.
And another thing, oh, it goes in.
Yeah, quit. Trying to use the spear rush there to grab. The solo kill does land the charm on to call me.
the heroic entrance from the Gallio reinforces the DSG mid laner means quid
does not actually have the chance to go for the kill here but you can see he's
constantly looking for these aggressive moves on call. And that's what you got to
do if you're gonna play Auri you need to play with confidence otherwise there's
no point in playing champs so he goes aggressive there as soon as you see the

he knew if he was gonna kill him it was gonna be by a slimmest margin so as
soon as that shield pops up there's no way you're killing him you just
kind of have to back off and Castle I think has been very good for DSG I
I think he's performed really well throughout the entire lock-in tournament
and he is going to be key even though he's got a tank for the team in this game.
Yeah, and we've seen the power of Galio especially being able to come in and save a teammate like we saw there
or being able to engage or re-engage a lot of these fights.
And I think yeah, Castle's kind of been, I don't know if it's unsung anymore because
we've now talked about it. He's a sung hero. He's a sung hero.
Yeah, and kind of the confidence we talked about the confidence that this DSG lineup just has in each other
And and being able to pull out that massive stick
It's also going to be on the flip side up to morgan to see how he can contribute
Especially in a lot of these early skirmishes and teamfights that tl is really going to want to use to snowball with this composition
I'm talking about early skirmishes and teamfights the next one might just happen about a minute from now
That will be when the next drake spawns right now hosioto
So hanging around the top lane, it would be risky to try to dive Castle.

And as a result now, Morgan is going to be up quite a bit of experience because Tassel
moved mid, so he's actually denying briefly, well, Morgan hits 11, Morgan is going to be
able to deny more farm, and all of a sudden this couple hundred gold lead and a little
bit of experience that didn't feel like it matters, now matters a lot.
And that's where we're really looking to see what TL is going to do on the map specifically
with setting up for this second drink.
Because if the rumble is there in that fight, he's going to be incredibly powerful.
with that Lee Andrews Torment completed that big first item power spike for Rumble that makes him such a terror in the mid game.
Cryra going to go ahead and start up this second Drake. Call me hanging around behind the pit, just keeping an eye out for Team Liquid.
Lions and Sujet also both going to rotate over here, but Core and Yawn are not willing to just let them try and do that.

delayed the time enough for Morgan's ult

So he could have potentially been a threat in that as well.
It's a bit scary, I think, for DSG at this moment now.
You've given up two dragons, you're down in gold,
and plays like that are pretty costly.
So it feels like this is going to be one of these games
where it's going to come down to that third dragon fight.
We have to see can they do what TL did last game,
where TL was basically in the inverse situation,
down around 1,000 gold, gave up the first few dragons,
they were able to outfight at one team fight,
and then the game kind of flipped.
And that's kind of the vision we're in,
champions on TL side are really strong on one item.
And I do think that's going to be one of the big difficulties here for DSG.
And I think our next fight is looking like it might just be around this rift herald pit.
That objective spawning here in less than a minute now.
You can see the top side's Scuttle Crab control does go over to DSG,
but they're finding it difficult to move forward and set up anything else.
The little Callista ghosts so useful for sniffing around before these fights,
seeing if they can find anybody at a position.

Morgan looking for the opportunity to maybe equalize here, is overheated right now,
as Pryor's going to be the target and Hosebioto jumps in, wants to make the dive happen, flashes back up the wall to safety as the jet is already down.
Team Liquid looking for a little bit more, he's gone, is very low, will the bailout be able to save him? No.
Lyons takes the kill on that one, but Team Liquid's still firing, Castle's next to Ty, but Morgan gets smited down.

TL, pretty clean calls there throughout the fight,
tracking the summoners on the same page throughout
of exactly what they wanted to do,
and they just, they just executed super well on it.
It was a really snappy engage from Jose,
even though Ari didn't have all,
so Jett gets one shot,
so it doesn't really matter.
Just so key with the Viari combo, you cannot stop the Vialt, so you must stop the follow-up.
That is the part of the combo that you can break up. You cannot allow Charm to come through there.
Someone's got to try to get in the way and body block that, or you have to use the really fast defensive part all.
You've got to be able to shut that down because now TL with the Dragon in 30 seconds are up 2.5k, and that lead is getting a lot bigger.
App Lions has to be careful in the enemy jungle here. Tries to go on a magical journey to get away, but Morgan is still roasting him.
Call me coming in now to guarantee that his support stays alive, but it got bigger problems.
Gryra's now going to be focused up here in the river. Gally a waltry to try to create enough space
to keep him alive. Fossil takeover flies out as Team Liquid continues looking for more and
Quidd's already found the kill on the Gryra. Morgan backs him up, it's a double kill for
Quidd as the Aurora falls. Castles out to it's three for nothing for TL and the dragon's
going to be the immediate trophy. And they mow down disguise before being able to now get
soul point on the Drake stacking, which is absolutely huge for this composition.
They're also going to be able to get this Tier 1 bot.
And Quid on this Ari is now a massive problem.
I also really like how they're using Morgan's power in these fights as well.
We wondered how much is this Rumble going to be able to contribute, looking to double
up that Rumble win rate as he just gets so much damage onto Lyons, follows him
through the magical journey because he knows that the rest of his team is
collapsing. Just look how split up they are. Two over here you have you have called
me alting to get over the wall even joining the fight. Cryer is basically
already dead. Lions ran out the bottom like they're all on a completely
different page and then we have this kind of this barbell going into the
background where Castle's been hostile tick over it's just like no one is
doing the same thing it feels like in this fight for DSG. Yeah and it
especially matters when Castle comes in initially right because TL is already
there surrounding him while the Ori is attacking on the front lines of the fight so really really
nicely done from TL and now they're on sole point and they've kind of cracked open the
game for themselves with a 5k gold lead.
Yeah it kind of feels like we're already past the point of no return and it's not even 20 minutes
on the clock TL has total control over the map they have total vision control over this
baron pit area Hose of the Odo once again looking around setting a trap the TL classic
Supporting jungle, move into the enemy jungle and start looking for pick opportunities.
Castle knows it's too dangerous to go anywhere near here.
Jose's Vi is very strong right now, 3-1 and 5, nearly 100% kill participation as Yon.
And call me, trade back and forth a little bit.
Call me of course is going to win those very snappy, very fast trades on the Aurora,
but it's still not enough to buy VSG the ability to push back out.
It's still so scary to check into any of these brushes because if Team Liquid's waiting, they're going to win.
Yeah, and whatever this happens you also see for example rumble pushing on the bot side as we look potentially for another
Trap play through fog of war
They know they need to check and so at least they see now
They could be able to check that out make sure that no one is on the bear
And of course the scary thing is always when you get vision
They could just instantly start after the vision expires and yawn has pushed up mid now
He's gonna go back over there
He'll just completely turn the lights out on DSG and call me getting pushing out bot
But he's got two levels right now to Morgan
And one thing I really like thus far from TL not only in this game
But in game one that I felt like they were struggling with up until this point is some of their sideways control
I feel like that's something that they were known for super super well when you had APA and impact to players who are just so
map oriented and minded about those side lanes
Call me in some danger though.
Yon looking to put the spears all the way through his heart,
and that'll be the easy kill for Team Liquid.
They want even more since Jed tries to escape,
but Quinn and Jose are right there waiting.
Disguised has just completely fallen apart in game two,
and TL now have a free ticket to the Baron.
I mean, that's really tough.
You know, Call me wanted to just try to use the rocket belt
to get a safety, but then that went into the wall.
Then he tried to use the alti, but it wasn't really placed very well,
so he couldn't actually quite get to it,
to it and then there was a really nice time close all and core flies in and
knocks him up as he's trying to exit out with that all team and the other day
dies without flashing is taking down so Jed is gone TL's gonna get a free Baron
game two is cooked like this game is completely cooked you're basically
you're hoping now for a massive series of mistakes like TL has to have their
carries pretty much going on in one of the time for DSG to have a chance it's
just completely gotten out of control DSG is hoping and praying that Jose did
not charged the mouse enough here in this game and something happens to the Vi in the middle of a team fight.
Because any straight up 5v5 is just not winnable from here.
Yan and Jose going to push towards the tier 2 turret here in the top lane.
Disguise trying to defend what they can.
Meanwhile, Quid is prepping the push over in mid for the multi-frogged attack from Team Liquid.
CoreJJ maintaining control over the enemy jungle.
prior forced to all defensively on the zinjau but still Jose and quid are
looking for more plays galeo ulti also forced out of disguise now as castle
tries to land a justice punch see if there's anything they can get back but
disguise just don't have the firepower and while that's all happening you
have Calista already attacking the top turret once again they should be able
to easily take this with the Baron buff and this is what makes this TL
team now so dangerous is because they can split you up play with fog they're in
such a strong position up. Okay Lyons hits the bar ulti there on the gong but
it's not really gonna get him a whole lot. Castle's now taking a ton of damage.
DSG's only play ends up being serving their own dudes in a silver platter.
Quinn is unstoppable. Lyons is gonna drop double kill back over to the RE
as nobody would call me is left standing and team Liquid is just gonna
to walk this one straight to the nexus 23 minutes on the clock it's even more
ones I think the last game quit is gonna look won't find call me but does it
even matter 15 to 4 they're just getting stomp they don't even have time to
get the dragon soul call me yeah he's trying to ping pong back and forth the
ace comes through TL pushing on to nexus turrets first one about to collapse
nobody's gonna respawn on disguise in time to truly make a difference here
Morgan almost dies to the turret. Another ghost puppy is summoned up here at the very end.
The Nexus will fall and Team Liquid looks dominant.
It was great to see this coming out of TL specifically with this composition, right?

Game number one, they had control for a while, but then after TL took control, they never really got it back.
Game number two felt like Disguise just was not able to keep up with TL at all.
Final time on the clock was what, like 24 minutes when the Nexus exploded? It was TL dominance.
It is hard to end a game that fast these days. It's just very, very rare for games to be that quick.
So definitely a couple stomps by TL.
They are looking really, really good.
Now the question is, can these rookies over on the DSG side,
like can they stabilize, calm down,
be able to reset yourself mentally,
and try to have what it takes to come back?
Because you need to reverse sweep the team
has tremendous amounts of experience in these situations
when you have very little of yourselves.
Yeah, and the big difference maker to me
has been every time DSG kind of makes a mistake,
it just seems like the TL punish
is that much for sure as opposed to when we did see DSG get a lead trying to play with it.
We then had suggest kind of moving a little bit too far up in the mid lane and that first
game and we'll see how they can stabilize.
I think the thing I'm looking from them is we talked about how potentially creative
this team can be, especially with I think Kyra in the jungle.
He has a few pocket picks that we've talked about that he could potentially bring out.
And then we know Castle is very willing to play a wide variety of champions.
But honestly, the big thing for me has just been, even when they did get that bot 2v2,
since in the LTS we have been so 2v2 bot lane focused, it's really been Yon winning out
as the better AD carry in both of these games.
I mean TL has been looking good and I feel like it hasn't as much to me but about individual differences as it has been about team coordination though
You know when I think about a lot of these teamfights where it's like okay. The wheels just fell off. It is DSG
Split up completely. It is DSG with like three different plans and it is TL with one plan
Right and it is you know four or five TL members walking together
Well one guy from DSG is over here some guys clear and vision someone's looking to run someone's looking to engage
someone wants to go balling and it just feels like they're struggling to get on the same page and
If you go up a team against team that is very decisive with a lot of engage tools
And you're having that kind of game you're just not gonna have a chance. All right. We're into draft for game number three

AP or AD champions in those roles

But basically you have to go down to Diana for someone who's like actually stacking AP.
So really every game essentially becomes you're just tierless drafting the AD junglers and the AP control midges.
And like that is kind of where we are at right now in Pro League of Legends.
And as you can see, Zin is gone, Vi is gone, Trundle is gone, Wukong is gone, Jarvan is banned, Nocturne is banned.

Azir is a monster to me just because he fits in so many compositions.
If you're ever wondering, is this year ever going to fall out of pro play?
The answer is pretty much no, unless they absolutely gut him and make him unavailable for solo queue as well.

Now this is where I would love if you can actually swap that H-Ox to Jungle of Karra as comfortable playing it,
then cast the Luth try to go for something a little bit more spicy in the top lane, try to look for some counterpicks.
Like Ignite, Kennen is what immediately came to mind for me, Jace is another good one.
There are some different matchups you can go, but I feel like, hey, you just got stomped in two games.
Counter pick for your lane, play a combat summoner, see if you can blow the game open.
It's going to be jacked, but I think it's fine. I don't really see this as a lane counter, but it's something that outscales
and it definitely has potential to put pressure on NARF.
Also, something that we just know Castle is super comfortable with, right?
So in these situations, a lot of times they're probably just asking him what he's comfortable with.
and they end up with the Jacks so we'll see how he'll be able to pilot that.
I do think, as the song hero of DSG thus far, exactly, some tales.
The big thing, Difference Baker that he's been has been in Teamfights when he is able to find kind of these really interesting flanks.
We've seen him do well on the Jacks. I still remember that Aurora triple kill he had in Topside River.
River during their last outing.
So we'll see how he can contribute here.

carry tier list right now.
You can also go Siver as far as those hypercarries
are concerned. So I'm going to see if TL wants to continue squeezing that pool and where they will go.

The defensive ultimate that can save her from the Atrox and the Jax when they try to dog pile in.
Right now I'm also looking at Disguised comp and I'm not seeing a whole ton of engage.
I feel like the remaining picks, obviously one of them has to be a marksman.
So the support, I think you're going to need some stronger engage potential if you really want to be able to make plays against Team Liquid.
Yeah, and as you see this smolder hover coming out of Sujed, another really interesting thing is that Karma is now off the ban list if they want to go some sort of Enchanter pushing lane.

So this is kind of where we are at with the picks that are up and available.
The engage is not going to be great on the CL side either.
It's like a flash stun from a pantheon or a flank from an R.
You know, Xeer obviously does have potential to start fights up too.
So both teams will be a little bit light on engage,
but generally when that happens, range kind of becomes king, right?
It's hook and poke and prod and force the other team to do something, force them to react.
And right now, based on what we're seeing, I feel like that is more in TL's favor.
Yeah, especially with the Azir and then the Aphelios Lulu coming out of this bot lane.
It does make it so much more dangerous if they do feel like they need engage and want to pick that Alistar.
That's going to be a really, really rough initial lane, but no, they're actually going the rel in as their engager.
I mean, rel, you can pop Lulu shield. That's always kind of nice. You do have some good a we engage.
I really felt like their company needed it,
especially if you're going to be playing alongside Oriana.
Sure, the Jax had tried to get it in there,
but ReL is a way more effective ball delivery system in most cases.
So I do think, you know, did they get much out of this,
out of this like fifth pick counter pick?
No, I think you could have been blinding the ReL,
and you would have kind of ended up in a same similar situation.

But I think that they had to kind of do it for their composition.
And I feel like this also goes hand in hand with what we were talking about,
how disguise doesn't seem like they've all been on the same page.
so far in the series, particularly compared to their opponents, we've seen much more coordinated.
If you don't have that solid engage, those mistakes, those
discombobulations are going to be that much more apparent, right? If we just have the one big go
button, okay, strap the ball to Rael's head, cinder in there, right? Like that's how you're
going to get everybody on the same page. You have a very clear, very telegraph,
hey, we are going in and I feel like disguise have got to be coordinated if they want to
keep this series going and by contrast although we did talk about kind of a
slight lack of engage on TL side they still do have a lot of tools where they
can coordinate and kind of stack some sort of CC potential with the NAR like
you talked about with the Azir shuffle so if they are able to set up team
fights well they'll have the range advantage with the poke and then
they'll be able to set up engages. Plus you can also be the cool thing where
Azir makes the Wall of Soldiers, Yarr slams everybody into the Wall of Soldiers, a little
bit of wombo combo from there if they get the timing down right, but we're on to the
Rift for the third time today, ruins on your screen, nothing really super surprising here.
I am curious how well the jungle, Atrox is going to be able to do, Isaac you were talking
about how the tier list just kind of worked, you go down on a lot of the junglers have
already been picked.
The next best AD jungler, and that just happens to be Atrox this time around.
So mid lane as well, Quid, we saw him playing so aggressive in the previous game on the R.
Obviously, Azir is not going to be quite that level of aggro, but I still do want to see him continue to play in the faces of his opponents.
I would say it's kind of cool. Obviously, Craver doesn't have a ton of competitive experience, but it is his first ever Atrox game in competitive play.
Atrox, I do think, is a champion that takes some games. You really do kind of have to know the limits, because on these drain tank style champions,
You have to know how far you can go, right? You know how much you can push the limit
So it takes a lot of experience as far as that is concerned
And then just getting really comfortable with the EQs making sure you're placing those well like all the timings on on how to actually do
and knowing your limits in the 5v5s

It's a problem down here in bottom lane, and the problems continue, Lyon's down to 200 HP,
Yon chasing after him with the Graviton, Core JJ making sure that his AD carry can make this
pursuit go all the way underneath the turret, so much damage onto both of them, disguised
bottom laners both have to flash away and barely survive.
I mean that is horrible, and now you have Inferno, so you're just going to be able
to fast shove the wave and crash it, so you're going to be able to deny some of
these minions here also and that is just ghost trade for two flashes so and
then when you have no flashes it's not even like you can hope for the bail out
of the game because this is a trucks a truck to need some setup a truck can't
just like running in one shot them right like you need to have the rail to be
able to set something up so this is looking dire I'm not gonna lie dire
already for DSG there bot lane is basically out of the game plus Jose
Deodos on pantheon with a point and click stun no flashes to get out of
the range before he can make that happen guarantees that if he wants to
show up again they're going to have the tools to make a play and continue trying
to just steamroll this game through bottom lane. Yeah and it's really nice to
see again how well this TL bot lane is performing. We talk about the power of
them and how good they've been in the past and how good they've been in
scrims. Everyone says they've just absolutely been crushing it here. I was
wondering if Jose was gonna go for something here. It's easy spotting them
or to realize, you know what, just gonna back it up, not really much anything there.
Yeah, Qwid also not quite level 6 here on the Azir, usually you'll see them go in and try to immediately ult the Orianna as soon as they get the chance.
Slimes and Sujet back down in the bottom lane yet again, and it's just another stacked up wave that Yharn will be able to farm all of, will not miss any of that CS.
As Calvary's now in some danger, Flashjohn coming out from Hose of Diodo, needs a little bit more damage to secure the kill, Comet spear, nope!

Easy to choose the, it gives us all for the little burst of move speed, gets in close flash, stun,
and it is just a trade of flashes at the end of the day, but now quit as flash.
So you could look for a repeat gank, especially when Jose gets six,
where it's easy to set that up for the Azir, swoop him back in with your flash,
have the Pantheon all come in.
Yeah, the thing is about hitting level six for Jose though, because he has
been spam ganking so much, he is behind Freyre in terms of the pacing, in terms of the EXP.
Freyre gonna take the opportunity, go for this first drake.
Unfortunately, it is a chem Drake, usually not going to be the strongest early on or ever, but you get it out of the way, you grab an objective, which is honestly a relief considering how bad bottom lane has been going so far to be able to take the first Drake is you're wiping your, the slot off your forehead a little bit.
Yeah, it's actually huge because you don't give away that early Drake stacking 2 TL, especially when this bot lane has had so much pressure on this bot side as we see them shoving another wave towards that turret.

And we kind of touched on it, you know, how he had been performing, you know,
before the Sentinels series versus in the Sentinels series.
The stats don't always tell this whole story
with Sentinels or with the Sentinels series

hit two items, IE just got completed for Yon, but their mid lane is kind of out of the game as well
which is really really difficult. You already have the two completed items Shadowflame as well as
the Ludens on one side here and then you look over at the other and you have the Oblivion Orb
like some little pieces at the end but basically it's just Nashor's and some trash right like
right it's it's Quiddiz is having a rough one in this game and meanwhile across the aisle
Colony is not playing vegetarian Orianna. This dude is out here just eating burger after burger shadow flame plus
Luton's Echo those shock waves are just going to eradicate whoever they hit

point, which is going to make it more difficult for Call Me. You know, you can react to
that shockwave, throw down the stasis. It's just about can TL keep Yon safe and
keep him hitting because I think if they can they're gonna be set up for success.
Yeah and that's where I'm also still gonna be looking at Jose especially with
this GA walked in for him on the next fight and they did pull that TP off of
the Jax right so it's gonna take him much longer time to walk up to this as
they return to the Baron. Yup, Yon's got the Chut from here to look at how
many of them he has stacked up. DSG still trying to approach but the

There is a little bit of a gold injection on the Baron,
but like, I don't think they should be able
to end the game with the Baron by any means.
And now, you have infernal soul
on this super fed Orianna, if that shockwave combo hits,
you could be cooked.

Seeker's Armguard, we already mentioned it
being available for the Azir, but the Orianna
also having that defensive tool.
So call me, can hopefully feel safer,
positioning and posturing aggressively
so that he can find high value on these shockwaves.
Combo them there with Lyon so they can get
that huge wombo combo that really
will make their team fight sing.
Yeah, and now the question is going to be,
Okay, how well can TL kind of set the map in their favor with this Baron buff, right?

on how easily you can apply you know this soul buff how easy you can apply the
damage but it's going to be quite powerful and you know DSG are not in a
bad spot so feel didn't really get enough with that Baron for it to be
worthwhile. Yeah they weren't able to get kind of that tier 2 bot that they
were prepping for they did knock down the tier 2 in mid but you know all
inhib turrets and two tier 2's actually are still standing they pretty much
which just only added that mid tier 2 because they'd already had the outer ringer of turrets down for a while.
I will say though, Castle has had basically zero effect on this entire game.
He is scaling, he is getting levels, but he's not seeming to really get a lot of gold, hasn't been able to catch up at all.
He's down almost 3k individually. That is basically the entire lead, it's just Morgan.
So, you know, DSG can fight where Morgan and Castle are on a side lane, that is a great fight for you.
So to me, your job becomes when you're getting slammed
in a sideline like this,
you just try to draw that guy to you
and you're just running at towers,
trying to force them to respond
because if I'm not there and you're not there,
it's way better for my team when I'm behind.
Right, the 4v4 for disguised is very, very scary looking.
Quid, still very far behind,
though, tastes the game himself here on the Azir,
but Morgan with the three fully completed items
on the gnar is absolutely massive.

It just felt like they split up that fight one on both sides.

And on the other side, Yann was just confidently walking forward,

He has summoners, flashes back with the protection of Core JJ.
And all of a sudden, everything has been lost on both sides of the fight there for GSG.
Yeah, and I love how they used their coordination to kind of bait out these fights.
That's something we've been talking about with TL, right?
Like we want to see how well coordinated this team could be as they take a bow
and we'll move on in the lower bracket.
I mean, if your team liquid, you should be so happy with the early game of this game number three because it looked like they were just set up for success from minute one.
