You
Thank you.
You
Sorry gamers the Elgato sounds really bad give me a second it sounds like you are being
electrocuted by Emperor Palpatine.
I have an unplugged, replugged, but I'm going to need a minute to try to get it to work.
Give me a second here.
I'm going to try to finish this ranked cable smash on.
Anybody else's Elgato just starts sounding like you're being struck by lightning permanently
when you turn it on?
Yes.
Yes.
Does everything wrong?
I think I have the one Elgato that works.
Are you live yet?
I am live, yes.
Okay.
Well then I won't say what I was going to say about the company Elgato.
Which is that it's awesome, but...
They're awesome.
on the show positions in this company that need to be disclosed that's right
Personally, I like having a I like having a light that's connected to the internet
And so if my internet craps out for like a second the light goes out too. It's just our future. Yeah
It's what's really cool is I love that too because with mine if the internet goes out
It just sets I keep that light at like 20% but then it goes to a hundred percent. Yes. Oh
That's so it's so nice when that happens
Yeah, yeah, the default the factory default for the Elgato key light is 100% is cornea searing
Frying your shit to a crisp. I used to have I gotta fix it. I just dream
Oh, yeah, I mean, they're they're coming in hot. Give me a second here to troubleshoot this
Otherwise I could stay and chop it up for for an hour easily
So true there is a light and it never goes out anybody have any idea what could be causing this horrible crackling noise
points. Someone was saying something about the Switch 2 and HDMI. Someone said something
about it. I would love for you to type it again now that I can read it well.
And they are gone forever.
Crackling seems to be gone for now.
The troubleshooter.
Get ready.
Get ready for this.
Get ready for this.
I'm turning the switch on.
Seems fine for me.
You think so?
To me, it kind of sounds like one of the most unpleasant auditory sensations that I've
ever experienced in my entire life, but I might be alone in that one.
Change the audio settings and then change back, okay wait, wait, wait, wait, that could be big.
Do you have any more information about like in what piece of software I should change the audio settings?
Nobody knows. Probably the Elgato. Thanks for your help.
I forgot this is why you don't troubleshoot in Twitch Chat.
I know there is one hero in Twitch Chat right here, and the problem is that all of our heroes,
our nation's heroes are like, I don't know if I should type, it might just make it worse.
And all the people who know nothing are like, let me get in with my help.
We need the heroes to have more confidence, bro.
Change resolution on the switch from 1080p to 720p and back, mostly pure orange, you're
today's hero.
In the switch itself or in the OBS source of it?
In the switch itself?
If this works, I mean, listen, if it doesn't work, you're not evil, because this seems
helpful.
But if it does work, it's guaranteed VIP.
Let me put it that way.
System settings.
Display.
I'm going to turn off HDR output, just in case.
I'm also going to go TV resolution, 720p, exit.
And then I'm going to go display TV resolution, 1080p full HD.
And then we're going to put it on the switch one dock a couple of times accidentally, which
is not probably what you're supposed to be doing.
And then we're going to open up the piece of software.
Not only sounds horrible, but it's also not receiving any video.
I think honestly, normally this advice is annoying to me, but oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, hang on.
I do think we should change cables, maybe, but Algado forms, say, open Algado.
OK, well there's a problem.
Because Elgato is deprecated, the Elgato GameCapture HD
software, as of Windows 11, I cannot open the Elgato Game
Capture HD 2 software, because it doesn't exist anymore.
But let me see if they have that setting in the remaining
piece of software that you are now compelled to use.
It's going to sound horrible for a second.
Device Settings, click Device Settings, flip, convert.
Standard definition is 640 by 480 and then change again.
Sadly, sadly no setting, I'm sorry to say.
Okay, we try a different cable thing.
Give me a moment.
We actually should have the ability to get a different table.
We can at least eliminate another variable.
Okay, that was easy.
And we try again.
Please, please, please.
Not the cable.
Sadly, not the cable
Okay
There's also no video which is a problem
Wait, wait, we got disable enhancements.
Go to settings, sound advance, all sound devices, select your Elgato, turn off audio enhancements.
Change sample rate on the audio device.
Here, let me give the boys an update for just a second.
So sorry guys, I made the mistake of rebooting my PC last night and Windows update might
have caused an issue with the Elgato software.
I'm in the troubleshooting minds and hope to be out soon.
All right, and then, can I get the DevKL message one more time?
I can pull it on myself.
DevKL, Disable Enhancements, Windows 11, go to Settings, Sound, Advanced, All Sound Devices,
your Elgato device. There it is. Turn off audio enhancements. I'm there. I'm there 100%. The
only thing is I don't see an audio enhancements button on it. All sound devices. Select your
Elgato device, it's on an input device right there.
I see it.
They've given me exasperated person
drinking a cup of coffee as an emote.
Here's what I see.
I see audio, set as default sound device,
format, input volume, microphone test
microphone test and test mode for microphone processing and that's all I see.
The other thing I'm thinking I could do
is um
device manager, disable, re-enable device
and then re-enable the device, restart the PC.
Wait, DevKL said something.
DevKL. When was the last time you rebooted?
Yesterday. They said install Linux.
DevKL, you're lucky you're staffed.
That's all I'm going to say.
Okay, streets are saying right click on, okay, one second, audio.
They're also saying that in the Discord, they're saying three of them are having issues right
now with their Elgato.
So it's not just me, Rook.
So now we restart the process with DevKos message.
Settings, sound, advanced, all sound devices.
Elgato Game Capture HD60S, there is no right click function on it.
I'm afraid.
There's no, you cannot right click to open a context menu.
Because increasingly, Windows is like,
even the advanced settings are like,
you're too stupid to be trusted to do anything with this.
There is no properties tab, I'm afraid.
The properties tab has been deprecated as of Windows 7.
I'm thinking, oh brother, first thing I'm going to type is, oh brother.
I'm going to restart and see if that fixes, otherwise I might be out of ideas.
All right, Chad, I'll be back in probably under five minutes.
I'm going to try one more reboot and see if it helps.
