[00:00:00] Whether it be the hazard that we know Tread had as it has in his back pocket.
[00:00:05] There could be other things moved around, but obviously the Vendetta had a great
[00:00:09] impact. On that last map, let's see here in Blizzard World, if we can have a similar one,
[00:00:15] St. Clair needed. If they want to extend this series to six, I'm not, that is, yeah, a base
[00:00:22] from St. Clair right now. And Winthrop, yeah, this is like, this sounds like a Winthrop comp.
[00:00:28] It looks like one to me. One year we hadn't really seen from at least one front this weekend. Echo out of there
[00:00:34] I'd say that's their top three hero pick out of him. It is good follow-up, but it's not like close follow-up
[00:00:41] It's more gonna be reliant on poking at longer ranges and then going in for these quick dives and assassinations
[00:00:47] It's a lot harder to synergize with the Winston than that of the tracer
[00:00:51] So thank Claire again very smart ban from them knowing what they want to run
[00:00:55] I'm assuming it's going to be a TP scouted out and figure it out from there
[00:01:00] And we'll not just find an opener here. Maybe that's a grapple the up. That's a new one. Oh, yeah
[00:01:09] No, yeah, that was a very smart reach right there from winter they want nothing to do with this
[00:01:16] All right, I think this there are echo underrated here. It's not like razor can do much
[00:01:20] It's not like a church or a church that can poke in front anybody in the sky.
[00:01:25] Razor doesn't have that same flexibility and that is why immediately we will see the change.
[00:01:32] Dreadoldus go on to his signature diva and Razor will go to Genji to release some way
[00:01:37] of dealing with Zera in the sky.
[00:01:39] That took 30 seconds for St. Clair to decide what composition they wanted to roll out of.
[00:01:43] And yeah, well informed decision.
[00:01:46] The time may want back Adelaide of quite Sinclair.
[00:01:49] He's clear to the high ground, Rack Attack.
[00:01:52] He's got a vibe in here before he can relocate.
[00:01:54] Then his own burst again.
[00:01:57] Look for an opener.
[00:01:58] Very poke-based.
[00:02:00] Four-wind drop.
[00:02:01] Uninfected, disrupting.
[00:02:02] There it goes.
[00:02:03] Bio-Made follows in.
[00:02:04] Won't get anything, but Redix falls.
[00:02:07] Can't click at the healing in from Alex due to the placement
[00:02:09] of the bomb on it.
[00:02:10] Has to sleep from Ultra.
[00:02:12] Violet just doesn't save Rack Attack.
[00:02:14] Razor was already in there.
[00:02:15] It just doesn't seem to be in the case, struggling without the clutch potential, I think, of Zera in this moment.
[00:02:24] I think that's the one thing the Echo will lack, and St. Clair are happy to get profits because of it.
[00:02:29] Because of how long it took for them to even start moving into points, and they won't have at least one member towards the back end of this contest,
[00:02:37] Winter will have another go without their run into a window from Alex.
[00:02:41] Yeah, you know place that one down along with the girl immortality field and Winston of infects a little too scary
[00:02:47] Again on tenacious
[00:02:50] Was good like a set up is there for wind drop, but St. Clair actually trading a backlight this time
[00:02:55] We managed to get position, but it's an overextension now
[00:02:58] It's so focused like even himself alive. You can't quite do the same down barrier for reddix to ensure this point is captured
[00:03:05] Racketack wants to give them a run for their money already gets one
[00:03:08] Oh my god.
[00:03:10] Rack attack single-handedly.
[00:03:12] Turns it around.
[00:03:13] And a great shout out to Zara.
[00:03:15] Stolds that point.
[00:03:15] Now, there's panic dupes.
[00:03:18] On the tread is able just to contest that point
[00:03:20] and trigger that ignite from the captive sun.
[00:03:24] What a save from a windthrope.
[00:03:27] Both support ultimates now gone from the saints.
[00:03:29] Left everything else to work with going into the next fight.
[00:03:32] But that was the point where you feel
[00:03:34] like they needed to capture this.
[00:03:36] losing sound barrier there is tragic.
[00:03:38] You better even get it to LG.
[00:03:40] You might, but right now it's up to Stan to decide how this game is played.
[00:03:44] St. Clair, they want nothing to do with it.
[00:03:46] They're backing off, getting up every bit of port position.
[00:03:48] The trend doesn't get out. He has to yourself destruct in this small room.
[00:03:52] Infected is just in there. They huge bionade.
[00:03:55] From downtown Ultraviolet always find a way to land these when it matters the most.
[00:04:00] Infected, frozen for the blender.
[00:04:02] St. Clair are now have less than a minute.
[00:04:05] Just a little wave like, hey Trin, how's it going, man?
[00:04:08] All right, I'm out, let's go.
[00:04:10] Just double-nade in for same, with Primal from affected.
[00:04:14] There's nowhere for St. Clair to go,
[00:04:15] and nothing that they could do in that one.
[00:04:18] One more push to try and keep this attack going.
[00:04:23] Blading in the overclock here.
[00:04:25] Hey, I'm anxious.
[00:04:26] It opened up, and I've got to say,
[00:04:28] I don't got a very safe position for ulti-violet.
[00:04:30] He calls in the reinforcements, affected.
[00:04:32] Comes to save the day.
[00:04:33] And now no boosted Winston, Dragonblade from Fraser!
[00:04:36] Think this is the final fight!
[00:04:39] But I think there's perhaps one more without quickly Winthrop white to the board.
[00:04:43] Renek should be able to touch.
[00:04:45] It is more a matter of fact of what are you going to get out of that touch?
[00:04:49] The amp is here from Alex, but it's going to be tough to get anything done with it.
[00:04:53] The one benefit is, Winthrop, no ultimates yet, but Rack is quickly building this captive
[00:04:58] stun, and I don't know if anybody is going to be able to judge you guys, but he dies for it.
[00:05:02] Gives his life, but he keeps the round going.
[00:05:05] No supports though, for St. Clair.
[00:05:07] Permanent damage, now enabled for Winthrop University.
[00:05:11] Thread thrown out of the mech,
[00:05:14] and Winthrop will complete a full hunt.
[00:05:17] We nuked the baby diva for a final effort.
[00:05:22] Winthrop wants to seal the deal here and now.
[00:05:26] That's crazy work for Brass, by the way.
[00:05:29] I wonder how he did that.
[00:05:30] What else are you gonna do?
[00:05:31] it's the last person alive, but just to look down and like, it's over, man.
[00:05:35] Like, it's just done. This round's over. Time to go on the defense.
[00:05:39] St. Clair need a perfect hold practically here on point A of Blizzard World.
[00:05:45] If they want to keep this series going, if they want to continue,
[00:05:48] the reverse sweep went through up, continues to push on forward,
[00:05:53] and a magnificent hold, and that hero play from Rack and Zera made a giant difference.
[00:05:59] We could still be talking about a St. Clair attack right now if it wasn't for that type of hero play.
[00:06:06] Yeah, Zera just stood there like, I'm gonna be a tank for a little bit.
[00:06:09] Worked out, Raktak took care of business.
[00:06:13] This is gonna be it for St. Clair. They're investing in the Winthrump pump.
[00:06:18] Ana, Jetpack. We question if Ana was in the hero pool of anybody, but Alice is gonna pick it up.
[00:06:25] I've only seen him play Kiriko and Baptiste this semester.
[00:06:28] It's going to be a new one, but St. Clair, what else do you have to lose?
[00:06:32] Nothing. Are they going to, oh my god?
[00:06:35] Whoa!
[00:06:36] I don't want to say anything yet because I don't want to jinx it.
[00:06:38] Yeah, don't do that.
[00:06:39] But I see the vision here. It is a very, my worry is this is very boomer bust.
[00:06:45] This is either going to work or this is going to fail spectacularly.
[00:06:50] I don't see many things on Winthrop that are going to be prepared for it.
[00:06:53] I'm being honest. I can see approximate, oh okay now that, that scares me a little bit
[00:06:58] with that last swap from Zera.
[00:07:01] But, do they know?
[00:07:04] Uh, Sam is not looking up. That is good.
[00:07:07] There goes Biodid and Sticky Bomb, high by Sam!
[00:07:10] Walton up behind, a trick play from St. Clair.
[00:07:13] Real payoff. You end up losing Razor.
[00:07:16] You need to be very cautious about how they proceed.
[00:07:19] But they got it once, and I don't think that's going to work in second time.
[00:07:22] Well, they got to make sure Noxious lives out by Coast, eventually, is able to.
[00:07:27] There's just still a 4v4 and now a Whopper's it's slept him back.
[00:07:30] And the sleep of the clutch pickup there from Reddix.
[00:07:34] Excuse me, to keep this on and off.
[00:07:37] No mech from Tread though. It's starting to fall apart.
[00:07:40] Winthrop, they found their win gone. Tread over extended.
[00:07:44] And as Winston is on the point, one last celebration dance is infected nose.
[00:07:50] That it hasn't been done. It was a drought for Winthrop without championships.
[00:07:55] Now they have 1-2 in the exact same day.
[00:07:58] Winthrop University take the title, the NACE Varsity Cup.
[00:08:04] Not just open, not just varsity, but both for Winthrop.
[00:08:09] What a fashion to do it.
[00:08:11] 4-2 over Northwood and now 4-1 over the Saints of St. Clair.
[00:08:16] And what a perfect way to end the collegiate
[00:08:20] overlock season if you are Winthrop.
[00:08:22] the unanimous number one team in collegiate.
[00:08:27] Not a doubt about it if there was anyone
[00:08:30] who kinda thought that this team
[00:08:32] might be washed, might be out of the books.
[00:08:34] Well, they had been on the grind the past two weeks
[00:08:37] to ensure that anyone they come face to face with
[00:08:40] will feel their wrath.
[00:08:42] The preparation has paid off
[00:08:44] and you can see the respect, the smiles
[00:08:46] between the players at the end of the day.
[00:08:49] They all compete in the same scene.
[00:08:50] They know each other.
[00:08:51] They show the appreciation.
[00:08:54] And it's a fitting setting off here for St. Clair.
[00:08:58] This roster, four people graduating at the end of this
[00:09:02] semester, and it's not the ideal outcome for them.
[00:09:06] They finish it as a runner-up.
[00:09:09] But what a way to go out.
[00:09:10] A great series, but it is the end of an era here in St. Clair.
[00:09:16] Fair play to them, and a wonderful career for all of
[00:09:19] I'm honestly hope that you keep their heads held high because that is one heck of a way to go out here at the great finals
[00:09:26] Yeah, two for two in St. Claire for the Naysa Bargassie Championships also qualified back in the fall
[00:09:31] Basta ISU there have almost the same score line four two four one
[00:09:36] They always managed to get their mapping. I think they should be proud of the performance
[00:09:41] They showed especially at the end of the series and it is the Winthrop Eagles
[00:09:45] that now have their nests at the very top of Collegiate Overwatch and it's
[00:09:51] going to stay that way for the rest of the semester. Undisputed champions, that
[00:09:56] has to be something they have been dying to hear for months and months and months
[00:10:01] with this roster. They say, hey you can't be ISU. They're able to do it now here.
[00:10:06] They beat Northwood, they beat St. Clair, they able to beat anybody here in Collegiate
[00:10:10] overwatch as we're taking a look back at the series one more time. And then we show it
[00:10:17] every single look here of Winthrop. We get to see a little bit of the hazard. We got
[00:10:21] to see the wrecking ball with the cat Bastion here and there throughout the day. It's just
[00:10:27] uniquely 100% the way Winthrop would have wanted it to happen.
[00:10:31] One of the most flexible teams that we are going to find in a while, because they can
[00:10:37] play multiple heroes, but playing all of these heroes at a top level, that is a whole different
[00:10:42] ball game.
[00:10:43] And the Eagles and Maddens put themselves into it, and Sierra Genji was just on fire
[00:10:48] throughout this map, throughout the day, happy when he got to play it out, then also Rack
[00:10:53] Attack 2 on this yardie has had one fantastic game, I really managed to stand out, which
[00:10:59] is rare for our main support, I guess, technically playing the flex support today in that specific
[00:11:04] hero.
[00:11:05] Yeah, this is just perfect.
[00:11:08] This is the fairytale ending here for Winthrop.
[00:11:11] We've been talking with a lot of staff, coaches, players,
[00:11:15] supporters of this team dying for the finally to get
[00:11:19] this title, not just here, in and open, trying to get both.
[00:11:23] And they're able to do the double,
[00:11:25] which can be hard for any team to top this type of performance
[00:11:29] in a semester.
[00:11:31] They had their bumps in the road.
[00:11:33] They lose to Northwood.
[00:11:34] Twice they drop maps here and there, whether it be off-rolls or sickness or whatever it may be.
[00:11:40] But at the end, Winthrop are inevitable at the top of the collegiate Overwatch world.
[00:11:46] And the definition of hard work pays off for this team and even this little curveball that was thrown at them.
[00:11:53] They managed to rally for quite a bit on this defense and it was like five minutes after the defend and we ended it all on Blizzard World.
[00:12:00] the second that this map had cued itself up at this series was over. This is the Eagles territory
[00:12:07] and nobody will be allowed to fight with it in it. Congratulations again to this Winthrop
[00:12:13] roster and all of the efforts that they have put in to preparing themselves for this very event.
[00:12:20] I'll take a 4-1 at the end of the day. 4-1 to win the final here and we got to say,
[00:12:26] is we this the Overwatch era of this event closes behind us what a historic year for collegiate
[00:12:33] Overwatch we get to crown our champions on land everything going on behind the scenes
[00:12:37] whether they be everybody here at full sale everybody behind the scenes at blizzard what a
[00:12:42] way to crown our champions here first time in seven years that we get to do this on a land and I
[00:12:47] hope it continues that way the support for collegiate Overwatch the talent that is developing here
[00:12:53] only continues to expand and definitely keep watching as it goes on and it will have to
[00:13:00] keep a good high on these teams as they continue.
[00:13:03] Rather, St. Clair might be the end of the road, but with their university still so much
[00:13:07] to show for their performance.
[00:13:09] So much to show not even just this semester, I have a feeling they are the next dynasty
[00:13:13] here in collegiate overwatch.
[00:13:15] They put everybody on notice.
[00:13:17] We are the team to beat not just this year, but for years to come.
[00:13:21] Yeah, we're not talking about the best in collegiate. We're talking about the best in North America
[00:13:27] Congratulations again to Winthrop University on their win
[00:13:31] That's gonna be it for us. Matai Shani and Twin Salty on the desk this weekend
[00:13:35] Thank you so much to all of the collegiate overwatch fans and staff and people made this event happen
[00:13:41] Let's end it up to Tracy for an interview with the winners
[00:13:44] Thank you so much guys and a big round of applause for our amazing casters. Are you kidding me?
[00:13:51] And of course, let's give some love to Winthrop, Winnie, the Varsity Days Grand Finals.
[00:14:00] Your giant trophy right there.
[00:14:02] Rack Attack, our caster just called you guys.
[00:14:05] The beginning of a dynasty, what does that mean to you?
[00:14:08] Definitely means a lot, coming from last year, I mean, the second place finish really
[00:14:13] hurt, you know, through the whole year and third, third I guess too.
[00:14:17] Really good to win both back-to-back championships, and we plan to keep it coming. I love it
[00:14:23] But most of you hopefully will be back here next year you sir are graduating
[00:14:27] You're leaving this dynasty in December. How do you feel about that? Awful?
[00:14:34] I want to say I mean you could take another degree. That's all I'm saying. I'll figure it out
[00:14:39] All right now get a job get a job, and of course let's see who is our next grand finals overwatch MVP
[00:14:47] That's you! You just won MVP! How you feeling about this?
[00:14:54] I'm feeling great. I mean, you know, we've got some disappointing past
[00:14:59] investors, but to be able to bring home trophies for our collegiate team,
[00:15:04] it definitely feels great, especially because they give us a lot of resources.
[00:15:07] And we just got a monster sponsorship, so shout out monster. Let's go.
[00:15:12] So, yeah, I'm really excited for this game.
[00:15:15] Well, we're very excited for you guys taking all those trophies back to school, representing
[00:15:21] your college.
[00:15:22] Congratulations.
[00:15:23] Let's give these guys one more round of applause.
[00:15:25] Well done, guys.
[00:15:26] You guys can go celebrate.
[00:15:27] Go ahead.
[00:15:28] Good job, coach.
[00:15:29] Good job, coach!
[00:15:44] Alright, what an exciting moment so far, but folks, you may be wondering, what does it take?
[00:15:52] What does it take to create an amazing eSports broadcast like this?
[00:15:57] Beside all the cool toys and professional staff, it's really all about our students.
[00:16:03] This production has so many Full-South University students in key positions,
[00:16:07] bringing the NACE Spring 2026 Grand Finals to life.
[00:16:12] From the lighting you see, the camera shots, all those beautiful graphics, and much, much more.
[00:16:17] Here at Full-South University, students gain real-world experience
[00:16:21] on projects and productions, just like this one, while preparing for careers in games,
[00:16:27] film and television, music, tech, and more. But right now I'm very excited to
[00:16:33] invite Full-South University's director of eSports and May's chairman of the
[00:16:38] board, Sarah Kite-Lyn, to the stage for a special scholarship presentation. Come on
[00:16:43] up, Sarah. And my dear friend.
[00:16:57] Give it up for Siri, everybody!
[00:16:59] Yeah!
[00:17:01] Thanks, everyone.
[00:17:04] And a big thank you to our friends at Radiant
[00:17:07] for being such fantastic production partners
[00:17:10] throughout the entire Overwatch experience.
[00:17:13] And a big thank you also to obviously NACE
[00:17:16] and Blizzard for bringing this product to our campus.
[00:17:20] Fun fact, this is actually the second Blizzard
[00:17:23] collegiate event that's been hosted here.
[00:17:26] of the 2019 Blizzard's Hearthstone Collegiate Championship right here in
[00:17:31] this exact same venue. What's really exciting when we hold events on campus
[00:17:35] is that it's a completely student run production and all of our students get
[00:17:38] to come together to really bring this event to life. So we really thank NACE,
[00:17:42] Blizzard, Radiant and everybody that came to help bring these opportunities to
[00:17:47] our students. And speaking of opportunities, we have one more
[00:17:50] opportunity we'd like to give to one special student. So I'm going to bring
[00:17:53] Riley Long, Executive Director of NACE, and JJ Meyers, Director of Competition for NACE,
[00:17:58] up to the stage to help me out.
[00:18:00] So part of our partnership with NACE in this event allows us to give awesome opportunities
[00:18:18] to students who are learning in real-world education and really doing that hands-on
[00:18:22] and experiential training to prepare them for their careers.
[00:18:26] What it also allows us to do is present a scholarship
[00:18:29] to a student who's been working this event,
[00:18:32] and you know, obviously working hard all year.
[00:18:34] And we're gonna present one right now
[00:18:37] to somebody that's been working today.
[00:18:39] And the best part is my favorite part
[00:18:40] because they have no idea.
[00:18:43] This scholarship recipient is a student
[00:18:46] in the game business and eSports program,
[00:18:49] where he's learning all the ins and outs
[00:18:50] of what it takes to do marketing operations, production,
[00:18:54] behind the scenes, and front of the scenes
[00:18:56] for everything related to gaming and eSports.
[00:18:59] They're about to graduate with a near perfect GPA.
[00:19:03] They're a varsity athlete on one of our teams.
[00:19:08] And the student lead of the Armada production crew,
[00:19:13] leading all of our broadcasts every single week, day in
[00:19:16] and day out year round.
[00:19:19] Xander why don't you come upstairs and get your scholarship?
[00:19:49] Just like that.
[00:20:00] Yeah!
[00:20:11] I'm so sorry.
[00:20:13] Congratulations.
[00:20:19] I don't want to die.
[00:20:26] I don't want to die.
[00:20:30] I don't want to die.
[00:20:32] That was exciting.
[00:21:02] I think Xander was wondering how he's going to cash that giant check.
[00:21:06] We'll figure it out.
[00:21:07] I think I have to take a picture and not go through the ATM.
[00:21:10] But again, one more time, congratulations to Xander as well as our double winners today
[00:21:16] with Runeterrape University winning both Overwatch Grand Finals.
[00:21:19] But folks, we are so excited to see all of our students here at FullZone
[00:21:23] recognize for their commitment to their education and their future industries.
