I
I'm sorry, but I'm not really sure how to explain this.
I'm just gonna have to wait and see if it works.
I'm going to make sure I don't lose the game.
I don't think I can do this anymore.
I don't think I can do this anymore.
I was able to climb in front of you.
And our path continues here.
We are the same.
Time machine.
We have crossed the battlefield.
Then, oh no.
I should be able to climb higher.
Another day and another broadcast for the APO.
Another chance for these teams to show what they've got and whether they can make it to
the Osaka Major.
the first time we've ever had an event in the Blast Rainbow 6 Ecosystem in APAC itself.
I couldn't imagine a better time to be watching the APL.
Hengu, we've been going a bit back and forth.
You and I kicked off EML just the other day.
Now we're back.
We've migrated down and yeah, like EU, NA, SAL, whatever, right?
Like APAC is where it's at when the Osaka Mage is on the horizon.
That's exactly right.
and we even had a bit of a mix of enduro sets because I started my APL, you know,
beginning in the pack north without you. I was with the good old sir, Jake, so finally be back
together for APL, but you're right, super excited right now for a sock there. And it felt like when
we first found out what the major was going to be happening at the beginning of the year, I'm
thinking it's going to be such a long way away. And now it's just around the corner.
Yeah, it's really creeping up on us. Of course, we've already had a few playdays of APL. Let's
Let's talk about OCD and how that's turned out so far.
A few upsets.
Thank you.
The elephant in your room.
Enterprise, not only not in first place,
but actually lost their match yesterday.
Honestly, like when I saw that result, I was gobsmacked.
I was like, what's going on?
You know, they lost a game in stage one to Shycademy,
but there's something in the water here.
Like this is not a good look for them losing so dominantly.
the circle of sphere 7-2 was the final score I can't say it's not the
losses the fashion in which they did it obviously really have a big name team
in the domestic region like you have an EP they've made some changes right and
you think you're either gonna be better in your team and making positive
improvements and new supporters staff coatings and etc they need good results
to prove that this wasn't a mistake so to speak so I think that honestly for
the individual players with a pressure upon the same like guys we gotta switch
it up we gotta prove that what we did wasn't a mistake we gotta end back
on that first spot. Have you seen the conversation to fight in that final at the end of the stage?
For sure. But we've seen plenty of highlights in other regions as well. In Asia, for example,
last week, massive clutch from Crit J, the Thai star for Sharpa Esports.
Formally, this was a great moment from him. Like 1v3. In theory, you shouldn't be winning this.
Yeah, against some crazy Denari set up. The fact that he managed to go through and deny that plant
as well. While that was going down, it's what helped Sharpa win their first game, 7-4. Of course,
we've only had one playday of Asia so far, and so the standings don't really matter a lot at the
moment, but we're kind of expecting Pengu. Wabo's going to sit at the top. You're probably going
to have a battle for second place with Sharpa and Daystar, which we'll get to later today,
as we can look at the schedule for today. Pengu, Daystar, and Sharpa Esports, who I think are
probably going to be battling it out for that second spot of the Osaka Major, they will be playing
head-to-head with our last match today.
That's exactly right. Super exciting.
Also starting off today here with a bit of a bang with the newcomers on the block,
you know, both coming off a bit of a rough matchup for 999 and left over.
So I feel like pretty even matchup right now, right?
We sometimes, of course, in APL, in Asia specifically,
you can have like a top talk versus like a bottom league team.
And we all know who's going to win that one.
For example, the first playday, Wabel gave me, I'm against the 999.
It's a similar one, which is a Wabel game, right?
So I feel like today, generally speaking across the board, should be a pretty competitive day here for Asia for sure.
It really does feel like the region is getting more and more competitive.
I think today's play is going to show us that.
But of course, there's a lot on the line now that Asia gets that second spot to the Osaka major.
It was Ose's for a very brief moment after Salt Lake City, when EP had a top eight run.
But of course, Wado went top eight at EWC, and now it's back in Asia's hands.
Daystar kept being that team that would get that second spot go to those international events for what felt like a very nice time
But thank you now
We're not even sure if it's gonna be Daystar because elevates made roster changes
They're looking promising and sharper have brought on a high nine
So I feel like this battle for the second place is gonna be tougher than ever
And it's gonna make it that much more exciting because like you're gonna have so many more possibilities and opportunities
There's so many players in the region now way bro long, you know, we gotta say that they're gonna take the first spot
no doubt about it, but growing the region further and further. I feel like Asia has been proven at recent times that actually them and Oripec North
have so many potential teams that they're sure to have a shot at those international majors.
I think the theme of stage 2 for Asia is potential. We have potential for a second team to be making it to the major.
We also have potential for upcoming tier 2 talent to show what they've got at the top level. Of course, that's our first match of the day.
It's our two newest teams in the league. Very unusual thing what happened in Asia between stage one and stage two
We had two teams disband for various reasons souls heart
Of course the players mostly remain in this league just on various different teams
Psychic company that team has gone and now we had to qualify two teams from tier two directly into stage two for APL
Which never happened like that's not how the format works. It was an emergency situation
999x
the first round. They're
winning the first round. They
won the first round, but they
didn't proceed to lose every
other round in the match. The
classic match of their away
from starting, so they're
finishing very strong in the
game. They didn't win the
first round, but they then
proceeded to lose every other
round in the match. It's a
classic match of their for
Waver starting slow, finishing
very strong in the server. But
it's also, as you said, very
unusual, super exciting, giving
so many new players in tier one
space and hopefully you can see
what they can do as well. We
saw the stat line. They got
them on a strike. Red players
going like one and eight, one
and seven, two and six, etc. I
really don't think if you're
don't worry at all about your opening debut against Weibo Gaming. It is only going to get
easy from here on. Now, that was the test showcasing you the exact skill level and the depth that you
have into your own competition. For sure. I think we saw that on their faces. They weren't expecting
to win the game. They were probably not expecting to win many rounds. One is better than zero. And
as me and Gus were talking about last week, Weibo Gaming, the closest game that they had in the
group stage last time around, was actually a 7-3 win. So like every match was a dominant affair
for Waybo, we expect it to be the case even more so when it is essentially the
low-wits seeded team that they're going up against. The 9-9-9 today is just an
obvious chance to get their heads back up again. They're also going up against
very familiar territory. I mean we saw 9-9-9 and leftovers play not very long
ago so let's talk about the tier 2 champions of the bootcamp community
series. This is Leftovers Arosta which has some old faces. If you've been
watching APAC for a while you might recognize Jittery and Zedux. They used
play on various old rosters that came up through South Asia. In fact, two years ago, they both played
in APL as one of the South Asian teams that qualified through in the Asia League. Unfortunately,
they've been sitting out for a while, but a big one that I'm really interested to see, thank you,
is going to be KLZ, who actually got a shout out by like, call us from Sharpa in their post-match
interview, saying that if they were basically tossing up between picking up I9 or picking up KLZ,
He turned 18 years old one day before the qualifier fits here too. He is the upcoming next generation of talent from Thailand
Oh, that's super exciting actually and left those had a very similar start to their
Pro League debut as well as their 100 and 999 because they played based on so the two new kids
They'd officially the first slice second team to start off their debut
Oh, let's always got three rounds on they saw on caffeine
So I should pretty solid start to the journey as well
And I feel like it's going to set the expectation of, okay, these are not going to be push over teams.
Yes, there might be lesser experience as a full roster.
Yes, they have come mostly from tier two, but it might just be able to hang from the very beginning of the stage.
And that could of course, we'll call some upsets later on.
You see how the player comes right there.
Everyone's looking ready and locked in.
Slim also being in the very center, being that supportive work between the players and the players.
Yeah, of course, for these new kids on the block, both of these teams are looking for their first win in the league.
league it's funny you know we had the former HL Tauri roster now Dolphin
Esport is also still looking for their first win in the league so that's
eventually going to change for these teams I mean for the Leftovers at 999
one of them is going to get their first win on the board here in tier one I mean
you could argue it's against a former tier two team but it's a big chance now
and of course the stats don't lie it's just one game that we've seen from them
so far but as you said they had a very unfortunate start over them having some
of their toughest opponents going up against in their first game.
But now they have a chance to get back to familiar territory and get a win on their
belt.
It's going to be not Aven Labs, it seems, for this first game.
I'm all for it.
I spoke about this yesterday, actually, when I was streaming about how where do I feel
like Nidalee even sits in ProVision or whether she succeeds?
I feel like Nidalee even labs is the new Oregon.
It's a map that, like, anyone can play.
You play it around the place, cross-signal and pro-play, and it's not super deep.
There's gonna be a lot of uptake close together
But they meant to the crossfires and three to one countdowns for XVVS, etc
So I think very good decision from both teams saying let's go to a very familiar and neutral territory in Nighthaven
Yeah, I'm looking back
We actually didn't get to see these teams play each other on Nighthaven labs in the playoffs of the bootcamp 3D series
So this is a debut for them a chance to show in tier one that they can
and get a first win on the board.
Get it behind them and focus up on taking some real scouts
throughout the Asia League for the rest of stage two.
It's our newest kids on the block,
making their debut here in the second playday of Asia League,
999 and leftovers.
And the players are looking pretty keen, pretty ready.
I'm seeing a few smiles.
I'm seeing some good luck gang in the chat.
I love to see it.
Nice.
So there's like three ways to push up in events, right?
It's gonna be your super strong mid-operator,
your Monty, your Solar Snake, your Deimos, your Asami, those kinds of operators.
There's gonna be a wall denial on both sides, so Pendecaid,
I'll be your Thermite, Acipan and Maverick.
There's gonna be trap operators as well, if you're the attackers, you know.
You want to get rid of the intrigue denial kind of operators.
And we're seeing many different choices between the different regions.
But this one, for the new boys, is gonna be a mixture of, well,
the wall denial and the shields, of course, being high in meta.
And I know somebody's watching right now thinking,
Why would they ban these shields? We just saw the whole like shields are dead nor has been released
He's gonna be the shield counter. Well, he's quarantined. Okay, so that hasn't changed
The shields are still super strong as I previously and if you're gonna be a newer team going to tier one
Those shields are gonna give you so much comfort at just walking the building taking gun flights sharing the information
Especially that Muncie operator. So I actually quite like that liftoff was going for these target bans saying let's put them on a little bit
on easy ground, make them fight for the entries, make them struggle a bit more getting information,
sure they can still play Blackbeard on the few shield, but not every player is going to be as
comfortable on those as the Blitzcrank Monty. Yeah, we see so much teasing out the Blackbeard
straight up. Also very powerful shield, but you're right, it could always come out as a tertiary
here from Lethgover's, and it just restricts the close range shield balance because Blackbeard
is nowhere near as powerful in close range and much more like a longer range because he's got
got that rifle he's also got the nades which I think really sets him apart so
he's great for flushing out power positions which actually can be very
powerful here on how are we gonna have to rehearse for a Drone Skin?
I feel like these guys would just go with it I feel like they'll just vibrate
honestly. Yeah well, we'll see what they end up going through.
It's changing between that oh well I guess it's gonna be a run but it's
funny you can't change your Drone Skin to all your Operator skins you need
You can change your weapon skills, but not your operator and drawings skills.
Imagine the way that the assets load with the server start, rather in between the rounds.
Siege is technically speaking like an old game, but 11 years running right now.
Not many games you can have that kind of lifespan, but we have had that so far.
Jannis Odenpik onto a very important operator. Miko on the glass goes down early.
With these operators, the shield's being gone, you're thinking,
Either you play hard utility, capital, the ying, the glass, which they have for this run, the ying and the glass, or you play vertically, right?
Stamos, the solid snakes appear, get the big booms below.
Another mixture of both right now, so if he is looking for entry, you're spotted by the DB.
Oh, that's not exactly what you would typically use as a ZO for these days, but the Blackbeard finds the knockdown and a good kill on the jury.
The smoke is operating you want to be able to slow down these fast pushes, but he's gone.
Now, Leftovers... Oh wow, that's gonna help out for sure. Big Nitro there from KLZ. It stacks in a 1v3.
He'll take out the first. Gotta be careful now, both Edward and Yanis. A low HP here for Leftovers.
So, Staxter though. This is very clutchable.
We're talking two footers. Just gonna determine a victory here for all the attack, or a single for defense to get the round victory.
around victory, half-thrown to go still, but no use for the pocket from the attacker of Stax.
But there's a sieve of a Janus of Planting. It's hitting the Attemptable, but dangerous.
There's one bullet from any player who will kill any other player in the server. That's
crazy. We're at a standoff where Stax is trying to bait them out. He doesn't know if Janus is
inside IT or hiding behind the keeper on Catwalk. He wants to try and take the fight,
pre-fire, could move from Edward not to be exposing his body at all, even a pixel angle,
It's not worth it with this level of HP
There's so much time
It understands the crossfire though, like he knows exactly where they are
But how to pick them apart comes out to discipline. If they've thought we're still swinging correctly, they should throw it's like it's one in
Playing this to the best of his ability
He's just trying to bait out a kill and I think the way to play this for left of is if anything like
Let you know you don't have to go and try and take a risky gunfight. Just whatever you do. Don't make it a 1v1
Stax is gonna actually go for the kills. He's trying to bait it out
He's trying to get a second one to peek and it works. Yannis gets baited now
It's all up to Edward to try and clutch up Stax though
He feels it blood rushing to his veins, but Edward stands up and wins the round regardless for left of his valiant
effort from Staxter, but not to be
Such good discipline. We're talking, you know, relative to new players in the block here for T1 and it just like locked down for a minute and 20 seconds straight, no one's swinging, no one's taking the risk, no one's throwing around the way.
Then at the very tail end there, the dude's stacking a little bit and see, starts swinging a little bit too early. I feel like they just didn't have a game sound to know exactly where the attacker was coming from, but also stacks that had the perfect reed there.
Perfect read there, understand, okay, one guy's being pillar by the shield, and then a crossfire is obviously gonna be by the IT breach.
And the issue there for the attacker is, if you go catwalk, rotate into IT, you're fighting two guns in the same angle.
Probably not gonna work out. If you go through the bumps at door, which you did end up doing, you're fighting a hundred and eighty degree crossfire.
One to your heart left, one to your heart right. On paper, it is literally unwinnable for Staxta, unless his opponent makes a mistake.
I gotta give him credit though, I mean, he did bait out the first player to peek, that
was very winnable.
This nitro self from Kailz really did stop that hard rush there from 999.
This was the moment where Staxster baits out the player in IT to breach, it was Yannis.
That was really well played, did right, it's patience.
exactly the wing condition is to get that player to peek.
We're just gonna say to you, should I?
You do, man.
Alright, so we're having a little quick rejoin here from the player that had a drone skin
on.
We are indeed gonna leave the server, remove the drone skin, and load back on in.
You can apply all right, like you can just apply all the non-drone skin to every operator,
because it's Pearl Operator, the Drone Skins, aren't they?
So this is actually a little bit of a fun fact from my perspective.
I have never used Drone Skins.
I actually don't know how that works.
I think it's Pearl Operator.
I think it is.
OK.
That's interesting.
I also don't use Drone Skins out of respect for my opponent.
Yeah, right.
That's the one.
It's because we're too broke that we can't afford the Operator Skins.
That's what it is, right?
We don't play the battle pass enough to unlock all the Drone Skins.
I think I have a few.
I think I have a few, but some of them
look very good and I whenever I'm playing ranked and I like see some of the
drones like it's it's like we see someone use ember rides you're like okay
like you're little bit for my team you're gonna play dirty I see how well
there's a difference between sweaty like look if you're running some phase strats
on me I'm like credit to you respect you can pull that off but if you're just
running ember rides it's like that's just dirty you know I relate to it I would
like a profile though because the issue is like if you're a tier one tier two
player there's almost no skins of uniform control. Even if you just play weekly tournaments.
Like you need to. Yeah I suppose so. You gotta go in, manually check every defender
and every attacker which is like 78 combined or whatever at this point in
time right? That's a lot of work to take off all the skins. Then you hit up the
rank trenches after losing the first skin you're now not going to tournament.
You gotta go back at all those operators, reapply the skins that you like playing
with a profile setting to have like default like your favorite skins like separated would
actually be so welcome because that would generally make me try and use more skins and
the current system of changing back and forth.
I mean, Flayton is these days.
Totally.
Imagine that you could have like a, alright, here's my scary like operator skin profile
and here's my, you know, respecting my favorite teams one and here's my crazy one and here's
my you know the brand collabs with like you know the musty for all the other
like ones where you can play as characters from other games like you
could really like spice it up and then going into like one day you'll be like
well which profile do I want for my Cosmics well today I mean I I wish they
did that because it would encourage you to play more different because like how
many good l85 skins do you have like I have so many so yeah I don't need and
like look I'm you know I'm pretty fortunate I got I got black eyes I got
place here like I got a lot of the good skins you know so you want to be out of
cycle around because maybe one day I do want to flex my glace here maybe another
day I want to run the OG Fnatic L85 give me the chance to show off all my
different skins. I also made a mistake when the rainbow is magic event came out
earlier this year I got all the skins to get the Rune DMR Memento which is
pretty cool a little sound system going on there and I'm not the
universal pink skin, which is great by the way, no hate on the skin. I hit the
applyer on accident and I messed up all my load. I had a char messed with the
skin on that one. I had my kickstart char on ash with like a red skin. Things
were just looking nice and now it's pink. Every weapon is pink. That's too
much pink for me. I love that. I like to contain my pink into one specific
operator and that's the right I have I have like the unit full unicorn magic
chunker I think I run the unicorn helmet with the to chunk it and leap no
that's okay which is so funny because he's like got his hairy chest out and
he's looking all bad it's got there like a pink gun it's it's great
we'll make some match there love that it's also not a new thing but once upon
a time you had to only have 30 skins or no need skin now you can mix and match
you would like also back in the server no more don't skins hopefully from the
members of 999 but this is a funny thing right what if on the sideswap
also happens to the don't skin so but doesn't happen
hold on as we get into it flash comes out here
Ooh, it's gonna be a rush, I was gonna build that something else, but how about we see the way that they try and rush this fight?
That's a chunk, uh, Geedery. Oh! Another Nitro to help out for Zeduck's buddy will not find the planter.
Stacks are on the glass, gets taken down, but the planter is indeed free, and now there's coverage from outside both breaches here.
Jayon, on the ace, good coverage from Miku as well.
Nice little unusual spot in the post planter to sit outside that window to prevent a retake inside Warehouse
to put pressure on from that hatch above. Now 9-9-9 find themselves in a very good position,
especially with that pick on Fianas. Justjittery left, he was the guy who was meant to deny the
plan. He put out his Shameika fires, but it was not enough to put out the rush from 9-9-9.
Beautiful. Again, I mean, I love when teams are able to just change the pace up so drastically.
You go for a little bit of rehost, I think the doing situation instead of going quietly into
the upcoming round of a sitting there for like five minutes doing nothing you just sprint you're
rushing you take control and you get every single attacker in the right location single
breach pressure double breach pressure at player upstairs in warehouse fighting the
heaps to give you this intercapability from stagsta on the glass everyone's covering each other
and kind of like a best-kiss scenario the c4 that denies the glass from existing but not the
black bearded diffuser so the plant does go down then i've been wiped down to the c4 all of a sudden
I just gotta get off the angle, jump through the window that makes a big sound cue, pick up the fuse, run further in, then go for a plant.
So, really everything came together in the right way there for 999.
That's how life works though, isn't it, Peggy? Sometimes things just all come together, you know, everything is where you are.
Don't you feel that, man? Like, you got your shiny new studio, I'm sure you've been through things, you know, I'm sure that you've had moments in your life where things were difficult, but you think about where it's taking you, man.
You've got that beautiful new studio, you've got your shed, your little man cave, all is
well in the world.
That's it.
That's it.
And that's a good reminder to people, right?
Even though life can be dark right now, it will get better.
Always get better.
Just like when you're a competitive player, right?
And you feel like, oh my God, I've peaked.
I'm never going to become better than I am right now.
A peak isn't a sole location in a mountain.
You can peak new heights throughout your life, right?
Oh yeah.
Things can get better.
They can worsen even better again.
And what's a good bit bit saying there from from Bob Ross you gotta save a little bit of the sunshine
And the sun is out when they really big right?
You bottle it up when it's really raining in gray. Got a little bottle of sunshine
But I turned into a really beautiful moment. I really love that very nice
Love Bob Ross
I want to watch some more, Nelson.
You had the 247 Bob Ross Twitch streams.
Oh, okay.
Well, you used to go?
I watched that quite frequently.
Well, I think the only painting that these players will be doing right now
will be painting the town red.
I love the choice of the Magnum here, the Scote pistol from J-Dog,
something we very rarely see.
Actually running hollow on the primary AR.
And there's a setup here for some kind of set place so what preparing and made
Feel like again fighting their time awaiting the third round in a row the opening kill for leftovers is a nitro cell
Stacks the twice as well not a grenade jump in and the EMP catch the smoke and or C4
There's so much you can't clear they got two razor blooms three toxic beeps and a C4
They can just kind of spam food through the MPs and she looks like
Oh, he's gonna take that fight, he wins it, finds a devil!
Big moment for Sewab, but verticality has been retaken now for leftovers.
That'll go deeper?
Yeah, indeed he does. He can rotate, swap into control room, go for the reload as well.
I love that little Q-confirmed skin by the way, there's a throwback to some old APAC legends.
Now Sewab will go for the plant, he fakes it again, but that does give time here for leftovers to rotate.
A little bit of damage, but no kill onto KLZ.
He wants to try and take that fight, that gas is really going to hurt and it will get the kill.
Onto so what?
J.O. jumps into two thorn traps, now limping, you'll find the kill onto Yannis regardless, 1v1.
A young gun on the other side is a new hope for Thailand, it's KLZ on the left over side
and he has that diffuser waiting in the wings.
J.O. has to make the first move, nice little boost spot and a smoke as well.
Oh, it baits it out, the P comes through.
You might be young, but he's too green to know when to sit back and wait.
J-Hub will find that kill on the KLZ, and with it, the 1v2 clutch.
Turning up the heat right now in the series, well, these direct push-ies are so scary, they're so successful.
I mean, that didn't start off the right way, 4-9-9-9, lose a player, distracts that to a C4,
Blackbeard's saying, okay, screw it, I gotta jump in the bomb side window and get two kills somehow.
That really starts off the trend they are taking the pace back in their control.
Like the Duskiband away, the Tribble Shield ban.
On the other side, it's a clash in response, maybe expecting that to be the case.
They could pull out the few Shield if they would like to, which Soak currently is hovering, actually.
Or they could have changed their entire playstyle, because this run was only winnable.
You get a sword's entry on the BB.
This is so what Machati said.
My Ops, were they banned out of the platoon?
respect of fear but this is always going to be the discussion that we'll have
when we see a triple shield band there are four shields is it actually worth
it to use all your operator bands and removing three of the four operators
that will give you the same you know kind of effectiveness over a shield in
front of your face because uses PMM pistol a six one damage purple it is the
same damage as most EMRs and it's a disgusting. So I know it's not an AR like that but it doesn't
fragment either but it do get soft destruction with the fuse across the charges that requires to
be on a wall or barricade trees obviously but it's not like that's too complicated by any means
this is quite lethal. No infuse is actually not bad on this map particularly for well all of the
other bomb sites aside from this one. I still think they're all useless here if you put it on the
external convoy there you will see the denaris get destroyed you'll see the
F-nance for a hundred dreadmines I should say yeah I mean later on if you get
catwalk control you can fuse off the catwalk to side and clear the corner
half left when most people play one defender at least so I would argue that
yeah it's a pretty decent cap to be four of the fish oh hello there hello
goodbye Jado really fast entity probably should have won that fight though
But maybe he wasn't expecting the swing and Ned would want it
One and fourth a J-dog. He was the player that I was watching in the tier 2 scene and thinking that's a real one to watch
Like he gets really aggressive, but he a lot of kills nice nice
He's not a damage, but so let's shield will save him. Yeah. Yeah, this nose. All right. Well, they do have a fuse
Oh, it's getting real.
I'm gonna push on him.
Just in there.
I mean, there's a decent turn right here.
You turn the map control, but you get the reinforcement.
There's almost no big attack or slip here.
So what?
How much speed?
Two of us dead.
A slash.
Someone's charging pocket of...
Oh, we got the HP.
It's an IT.
I just overpeaked a little bit too much, though, for J.I.V.A.
Had a big chance.
So what?
I can actually put a breach here on the main wall.
Wow.
kill for Miku. So what helps him out? Now the breach goes on out they know there's no one behind the pillar.
So what? Can't go for a plant. This is not safe. Miku is going to have to do most of the work in the
fragging department this round and he's caught on camera. He actually does have some gadgetry that
he can use to destroy that camera. He will do so. Out comes a concussion. Now he knows there's no one
close on that door but he doesn't know about rafters which is the problem. And as he tries to vault
on through he will be exposed. He can also take out the barbed wire here with the lifeline as well. So
Massive value out of this incredibly versatile operator and so one of the PMM has found and finished Z docks
Jittery now in a 1v2, and it's all gone down the toilet for leftovers on their defensive side
You expect great things from them a lot of damage, but no kill as of yet if he finds Miku though
This should be jittery's round
He decides instead to try and shape up and focus on the planter doesn't realize where he is
He was takes him down, but now in the 1v1 he cannot stand up Miku saves the round
Massive one for 999!
This is genius!
Like, I know people think, you know, what is that plant spot? Where's the color? Where's the teamwork?
No, it actually really smart way of playing it.
The fuse has a single point of health.
If the Sophia dies, you will lose the ground regardless.
So you're baiting the planter.
Mika will only swing off the contact of the fuse dying.
Full health Sophia versus like a half health smoke or whatever.
Who doesn't have any gadget in pocket.
and by planting in the corner of the room, it gives you a very early idea on where to defend the risk.
Because if you plant behind the pillar, that means that Jittery can get all the way behind the pillar itself,
get the protection, kill the fanter, and now me, Kunsook, and I see fighting against a strong position.
The way they played this, it actually makes Jittery play in a weak position.
Yes, it does get to the pillar in the end, but the bomb is down.
So me, you can play the crossfire, you can play the fade away, you can play the fighting game.
Very well played there. What a ridiculous way to get there.
Finding all those kills in IT connector and just kind of storm in the bomb site despite being down in significant numbers disadvantage
Yeah, do you know what the disadvantage was because I remember the moment it was a 2v4
3v4 and then they get two keys and connect you with the Sophia
Acidose who's down to the fusion and one-to-one all screen
And again the PMM. That was a two tap on the full health of Sammy by the way
He's dead
Nothing you can do about it. Didn't some real star moments
I mean every single player just about from this team has had their moment on the 999 side
in first round stacks to go to 3k second round J. I've got a 3k third round J
I've got a 1v2 and then the fourth round Miku got the 3k and the 1v1 so what's had massive value on the fuse as well
So you can really give credit to every single member of this roster so what's actually not running the team at this moment?
Yeah, that's a strange choice and it has a lot of ammo because a pack of punch instead. They're gonna go
The flashbangs come out, the strainy cd impact actually might be a little damaged, the second one will kill him, surely!
4v4 now, left others have denied the plant and with that the round seems to be won by the defense.
It'll have to be a very messy 3 attempt now from 999 to bring this back.
So as you have heard from me, you could write, you EMP the solace, the warden, the toxic babes, the thorn, razor blooms, the c4, your gacha just working overtime.
But every single EMP being shot on out of the cannon, you have to reload the magazine.
So, Miegel couldn't catch everything, Warden could see, Solace could see,
and of course, the Solace from Edward, he actually did also through a gap in the smoke,
notice where the plant was going down.
But a good attempt, back to a clutching position, they have to not go for a broken kill strategically,
the round is over, they have to not go for the mechanical aspect of the game,
Launched headshots, good gunfights, and they know that Edward has the BUSHG on the vigil,
but it can be nasty on a tight angle, but you can also be quite awkward as a BUSHG player
to win your gunfights. You miss that one bullet and you probably just die.
It's a real bait and switch though, from... no, no, no, all three of these players are coming
from different directions, stacked on the bottom side of the contact diffuser.
Oh, tries to bait out the peek from up above, but ALZ, oh, unfortunately he had to cock
the shotgun, but still gets the kill anyway onto Neku.
Trey doesn't come through, nice little protangle there from Jittery, and it's leftover's round,
but I must admit, after 999 found three in a row, leftovers really needed that.
Can't afford to lose it from here.
The direct rushes continue.
Surprise that they keep going forward because often when we see a team do it once or twice,
you know, the defenders make good adaptations, which they did.
I would argue there, they had, like I said, solace to figure out where the plant was going
down, warden to see through the smoke or the flashbangs that were being spammed away,
no one denial, smoke denial, and even vigilance to be a flair.
So I would like to see 9-9-9 now go for a more regular approach, those step 1, step 2, step
three try and survive the early stage of the attack and have those five
attackers by the bombs and walls especially on top floor you really want
to perfect both of these right you're gonna have three areas of pressure
because there's four ways to take the bomb side. There's IT breach, there's
catwalk rafters, there's gonna be Aqua, there's gonna be the meeting slash connector
on the one side right you have four areas you want three of those four pressure
points what I mean by that is you're gonna have one attacker at least in three
those four positions. That way you're boxing in the defenders, you don't have any choice to play in,
and they're losing their win conditions, you know, holding a crossfire, going to Patanahouk, etc.
because we can't quite help each other. So if 9-9-9 can stabilize early on and get to that position,
then statistically they're going to be in the strongest position possible.
Then we can look at leftovers. Can they play a game of disruption? Can they find that
one more C4 throw? Can they win a gunfight on IT breach, for example, fighting for the external wall?
That's the question.
Here comes the breach, I think. Ooh, what's your jay talk?
It's scaring me for a second, the way you hide off. I hide off Miku there.
Maybe worried about the run-out from the window outside.
Yeah, you're right. I think this is a really good locked-up setup here from left over, but
I think that these rounds that have been won by 999 they tend to be won in clutch moments and in place
I think my here is gonna catch a lot of the utile stacks to that doesn't have very good vision
But I think he's gonna push through and use the fire anyway to try and take rafters
He's all the way in he's supported by so what he's now smashing this mirror window
Worry about the fire. I can't afford to get guard broken and jr. Come support good support together
999 will take control of rafters and well with that leftovers are on the
back foot. Edward finds a pick. KOZ on for a flank from down below. He really
has been the starfrager here for leftovers. 2.0 KD at the moment.
brought them back on the advantage. He can rotate back up to the bomb site from
the other side. The rest of his team is under fire on site.
And in, managed to stabilize. KLC is too good, but look at this. A fighter by the
He just gets shot down with my IT, though Miku did great watch over.
We've got a few survivors as well with the shield.
Down gets support as well.
Kale said back towards the bomb site.
Kale's there, really is a beast, man.
He's gotten a C4 kill almost every single round so far,
and he is really viciously leading the way.
Ten kills, double digits.
Look at the ball.
Yeah, he really is.
Single-handedly giving leftovers a lifeline.
Can't afford to expose himself to Miku while he goes for the res on the jittery here.
Thankfully, Edward's covering.
And that's the half, a big round from KLZ and with that it's 3-3 at the end of the first split.
great start from 999 in the first half and leftovers make that comeback work and
they end the half with three rounds chaosy back-to-back 3ks as well he
really is making a name for himself his debut into tier one this stage at 18
years of age I just think it's so crazy like 18 years old in 2026 what that means he was
born in oh good don't do this to me is that 2008 that can't be right that can't be right
oh my god actually he's born in 2008 he's born in 2000 oh my god he's doing well i feel
like it's a little bit personal that he uh didn't find that victory in the 1v1 earlier
I was 10 years old in 2008. What do you mean?
What do you mean I was doing like pie and stuff at school at that age like I already have my pen license
What do you mean?
You guys don't have that where you have to like you use pencils with like
No, no, cuz you like you use pencils at school, right?
And then when you get good enough at handwriting that they like will like judge your handwriting say yes your handwriting is good enough
You can have your pen last because you can't write out a pen.
Oh my God.
I'm not sure if we have the official pen license document.
We did have a book with like a cursive that you had to work on it.
And I felt that mis-
if you're having a through it out of spite, what your teacher is saying.
Why would a writing cursive, but I can't tell on reading.
How are we going to get on reading?
We're on writing, brother.
It's awful.
If it runs on batteries, I see it.
Jump James.
You're doing great today.
Sorry, why are the juices running in the pot?
Sorry.
I'm low behind the scenes there.
Sorry guys.
Professionalism.
Anger.
Professionalism.
Don't say my name.
I don't like it.
I want to be honest.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
Professionalism.
Engu.
Professionalism.
Don't say my name.
How would I be honest?
I was actually thinking this today.
Honestly, I was thinking as well as watching the T2.
These teams have genuinely really impressed me.
Obviously they got whacked last week by the top teams, but like we've seen some really
good play.
Obviously there are some like cracks in the armor, but I've been really impressed.
In contrast, I was watching the Falcons G2 game on Bill.
No, no, no.
Well, obviously they're phenomenal players, but like it was so messy. It was such a messy game
So I I am serious when I say it doesn't matter what region you're watching
It doesn't matter what caliber of team how big the names are who quality seats can come from anywhere and bad
At any moment any point in time you never know what happens next game and you to play Villa first lady
They were forced into a 4v5 which is an internet issue
Secondly that day after he did that again with the exact same result and scoreline almost except a 355
So no success there unfortunately, and they got a few more. I think I got three more rounds. They got two more rounds
I think yeah
Now the even number is back to a 4v4
look at this some
Smoke up is hiding
So thankful that he got saved there by jittery as Edwin finishes him off
it seems like leftovers can use the shields as well and really as well
Janus, oh a bit of PM there onto J-Dog who's by the way had a pretty rubbish
game so far awkward spot for so what he seems to only be good when he can play a
shield in front of his face KLZ continuing this reign of terror 11
kills to just four deaths and it feels like in these last three rounds
Leftovers have really stepped it up.
There's no way that's so what it's catching straight from the castle right now.
There's a base shield from the attack inside that is criminal activities.
Stacks, though, though.
Up against the world, up against the Monty.
From Edward, they're gonna start planting.
He has no plant denial. Good luck and have fun.
Yeah, he certainly didn't have much fun, I can tell you that much.
It's a great round there on the attacking side.
Leftovers have very much come into form now. Down 3-1 and now up 4-3. They've shown that they can attack as well.
I think that it's, yeah, the moment where the shoes on the other foot, 9-9-9 out of the pressure.
Notice the Elevate operator cards as well, by the way. Remember, shout out to their old organization.
They were the Elevate Academy roster before having, unfortunately, to depart from that Elevate organization after qualifying.
We can't have two elevates in the same league.
Why is that, James? Why can't we have two of them?
Well, if we had another caster called Pengu, do you think he would be allowed to cast this league as well? No.
It's just it's too much, bro.
It would be confusing.
Yeah, it's too confusing.
Well, we could have PentaPingu and PinguG2.
There could be the two different versions.
Dude, your Instagram handle is still pengu.psg. Just change it already.
Okay, I'll do whatever whenever I want to like send you a real one next to grab, which you know it happens
It says Lason is man like I don't use I'm not a social media person these days, you know and like honestly
Maybe I do maybe if you go into settings on Instagram there is like 10 billion things you can play and it's overwhelming
I'm gonna open up Instagram right now and see how hard it is to change my Instagram handle.
I'm trying to do it but I can't figure out how to do it right now.
Surely you can just, I mean, I don't know if it's taken or not, but could you just make it penguin?
Yeah, that's gone.
Yeah, literally, dude, it two clicks!
Two clicks!
You go to your profile, you click edit profile and then username.
And then it gives you a warning that you might not want to change it, but come on!
Oh edit profile.
Oh I didn't realize you could click that, I'm sorry.
I'm going to hear fingers taken. How does it feel to be 11 years older than one of the players they're costing right now?
Oh my god, I can't be called pink at all. It's not later. We gotta cast a skim to lock in right now. Lock in
Professionalism, please later
I'm beach open. Yeah meeting hallway control taken the day dog the flush
shield here
My life before shielder
Also like the big boom for the mark unfortunately, but it's look at the kill those so what get caught off instead
See dog successful
Yeah, this is so lippy where's bro going he was shooting bodies last time as well
Oh, it's like dude, you're broke, you're still a little bit...
Dude, I'm not gonna lie, careful is...
Careful to do that, it's good.
If you do play Turd or any of the teams that talk a lot of smack, I know I9, he'll get it in the fact too as well.
Be careful.
Like they're doing good theory here, they got verticality check, meeting check, IT check, loopy-course catwalk check.
Like there's a lot of pressure in that net throw, isn't it?
Oh
No kill unfortunately, you didn't have enough ammo in the primary, but I mean
It is showing us right now. You don't need bar you don't need day most all you need is a yellow ping
Oh, and he finds a kill through the floor with the m76 to this guy has a three-point okD in the game right now
See ducks forcing that plant down
Nikki will take down jittery
And of course Zeduck has to think about things twice and decide to get a kill before he goes back to the plant.
J.O.B is gonna die as well! 13 kills on the young guy on KLC!
Leftovers have well and truly grabbed this game by the throat!
Ridiculous. Again, from like an un-paper perspective, there are so many things leftovers doing very successfully right now.
Understanding the pressure upon understanding when to take map control and where to take it.
The right order of things as well, they start doing the Sofia downstairs when they're in
meeting with the crossfire and then when they're done using the Sofia gadget, they use the
Grim Bees and then do Sofia's AR with the continuous pinging on the floor to get the
kill afterwards.
So many small things going well for them, 5-3 now, building up a significant round lead
and really applying that pressure to serve the individual players of 9-9-9, probably having
the most difficulty right now.
It's not so much like the strat of 999, where there's reinforcements or the positions, it's just that they're not winning any fights whatsoever.
But it's due to the fact that leftovers are taken fights in a very smart way using Gattatree, using Monty's shield, with information, etc.
Not making it easy for them, and they're not gonna run it back.
They'll defend the top 4 of the shield as an extension.
They are gonna go over the tertiary bombsite here of control.
teams that are good at roaming. Problem is, if you give up a lot of map control like they
did last round, KLZ was given free reign underneath their bombsite, then you're going to have
too much pressure on you and you're going to lose positions. No, no, no, I can't afford
to do that. They have to play the whole map when you play a bombsite-like control where
it's clamping off from above and below. You really have to maintain that pressure. Dude,
Dude honestly like just spec KZ
Hey, LZ, maybe he's a distant cousin
He's certainly channeling some of the KZ energy
Let's do it, I'm just gonna give you a sit inside now
Oh, there you go, he's the goal
He's the goal
He's actually insane dude, like
Genuinely, maybe
Eddie Shaffer should drop I know
Never mind
Oh, he get treated? No, no, he's fine
Okay, it used to be healthy, got a mine stack so it takes him down.
Oh man, this is real showing from leftovers and specifically from KLZ.
Got to play this one smart though. You've lost some of the important members, right?
Good bit of gatcha tree. You got Thatcher, Ace and a Flores.
Not really the ideal setup here for what's going to be a vertical attack.
You can use it where the Flores turns, maybe it breaks from the ceiling towards the bomb site.
You could cover the toxic babe the final one in pocket here off the defense go for a plant
But the other aspect is that you can swing down the bird get a couple kills
Maybe just one single a kill rather get a bigger and bigger men have ended
Doesn't win that as a result. Yeah, that should be the round done stacks to it after pull off a miracle here
Oh hey Kale's he's dead so anything's possible almost sees the first one the timing here has
got to be right no no no I'm relying on just one player to prevent the match point left
over is rotating trying to take the free map control I like that so any rather
Edward moving in from land where he has to make sure to play it well I love that
little bait by the way that is the mark of a great team right there the player
Outside the window shooting pre-firing distracting and Edward timing his peak with that. It's perfect. It's now a massive
That is six two in favor of leftovers
All right, I keep getting more and more impressed on this thing and there's so much discipline
Understanding when to go for aggressive swings when to fall back and play passive and also the ability to treat each other
That was actually 999 getting opening pick KLC just swinging over with a great flick gets to trade off and they jump in catwalk
Gale C goes down and gets injured, his teammate trades him back again. Like they're never losing anything for free
There's always gonna be an answer somewhere on the map. Now they're better with the Nauri
That's gonna be of course talking about the traps and the intrigue abilities and
9-9-9 all the upper the bends will also probably take to the tunnel to figure things out
But it's a little bit late here games because you're staring at the match point against them
And a lot of time to pick up this round
Shiba gets to get in the ears of the team and maybe give a little bit of
insight, a little bit of recommendations, but to be honest, how do you come back from here?
It's been five rounds in a row now, one by leftovers and they have three
match points, leftovers of course have a chance to talk to their coach as well,
Slim on the mic and as the attackers I mean they could be using this time to
cook up some kind of a rush. I guess the thing that makes it a little hard of a
I don't know if I can get any bombs, I don't want to see the defense.
Yeah, it's a little bit concerning that there are so many things open, but nothing that feels comfortable for them.
It's one of the nightmare positions to be in as a defending team.
Guys, let's go here, we lose. Ah, don't worry, we got this good strat, we lose.
He's like, hmm, what do we do now?
Someone's got to have that confidence in the back of their mind and speak up to the team.
the teams that guys trust me this is going to be the right choice to go for
basement heavy bunker down here echo castle to shine the smoke and warden
they want to play for a late-run 5v5 it looks like or play here by the
cockroach staircase maybe the warden all the smoke you are being we must send to
leftovers hey we dare you to go for an even execute and honestly looking at the
place of leftovers I feel like they will be excellent at that even position
execute as long as you get the right operators and they're getting fancy
because they got a raw aura when you pick up the roll off you got a very niche
strad mind one of the few operators where you have to know exactly where
you're gonna put out the side of the round like yeah you can't get away it's
not flexible enough to get away with just kind of picking it as a comfort pick
because unfortunately not gonna find my value on places that could even punish
your team in some place like that castle which ironically you know does a very
similar job on that defensive side I saw the thinker tease down and eventually
locked in by Janus which I was very happy to see good players on thinker it's
scary I mean especially when you put it in tandem with a good blitz or black
beard anything's possible
okay he's gonna open up this wall as well so an avenue to there is a gas pipe
makes this wall so careful.
Okay, Drone spotted and taken down before it's able to knock back Edwards.
Z-Docs is now going to be proning Freddy and Edward ready to run straight through.
Do you ride about the gas pipe?
And it's five kills!
Edward, very well played there by Staxter.
And you know what I mean, you read it to perfection.
You need to shoot that gas pipe earlier I guess,
earlier I guess so I have some other pressure but you can't rush those stairs
quite so easily while that's alive. Yeah what happened there is that Blitz gets
maybe hit by the fire from the gas but he gets stunned so you can't use your
gacha, you can't flash the castle, can't go over an ADS peek so you have no way of
fighting back. Unlucky, I mean there's two ways either you hope the defenders
shut the gas pipe themselves if you wouldn't know that you joined it or a
second you just thought you go so quickly into that room the castle
wouldn't be able to respond quickly enough but stacks that did do that. That
I'm just going to make the attack a lot more challenging now for the left coverers. They lose their main information gathering operator.
They made very good progress actually, so I said that the dust is in pillows already and the EXO and
9 and 9 are giving up a lot of space here willingly to the attack.
Yeah, unfortunately, I'm not working out for the left over.
Laptop the map control and fire skills.
Oh my god!
Staxster walked straight into Yanis' crosshair as he was trying to take the fire with Jado behind him.
Oh nice shot as well. No need to reload here with the LMG, he fires them all.
One by one they will fall victim to Yanis. Even the yokai cannot escape his wrath.
This LMG will continue to reload out. Three kills. One more.
To lock in the first win in the APL, five leftovers. J-Al will try and stand tall,
but he's going to surely be shut down eventually. ZDUX goes down, the first of many required
quiet to bring this back into the realm of possibility, Yannis will fall as well, a little
bit too heat, a little bit too hot, and yet he calls the GG and shat anyway, the BM from
Yannis will die with him.
Jub1, V2, he's still low HP, and Yannis is back talking.
You win HLT, don't worry, it's a self-example.
I know whether 999 or HLT should be more offended by that, but I tell you, who's fired up right
right now it's leftovers and the anus massive round from the Filipino player
and a big game from leftovers to win at 7-3. Very well done again good discipline
good decisive push is good teamwork and coordination honestly I think they
beat expectations for my first time watching these players I didn't really
go into this thinking they're gonna have all that figured out already but they do
and having such a convincing victory over their opposition from tier two and
CL going here into tier one competition is a very good
performance. And it didn't make any difference, right?
Digital performances, teamwork, also having given the
strategic meta, the operator ban prep, etc. There is just a
lot of cheekboxes being checked here from this matchup.
They really were. I mean, there's a great start to the game
for 999. They were up 3-1. They lost every single round after
that. Leftovers put on a clinic. They showed us what they made
on KLZ in particular, showed us that he might be one of the
deadliest players in the APL right now and I mean sorry I was a little bit
comfortable there. I mean where that puts us now is Leftovers have a win on the
board and I mean Yannis said it himself he reckons that 999 will be able to
take Nolfe and Esports, HLT's because their old name was Big Praise. Big Praise?
And it's kind of a back-handed compliment it's like don't worry you guys will beat
the team that's never won anything this year in APL. A little bit of a harsh one
Well, honestly, I think that'll be a pretty big battle.
I think this was a little bit of a more one-sided affair than I personally expected though.
These guys went head-to-head in tier 2 and it was a lot closer than this.
Yeah, he did drop 15 and 5 small line.
I feel like he had like an average game, unless this is his average game of course, then that
might have made it like a 7-5 or maybe an OT territory.
He had so many individual moments in this game and it's across the entire board.
Somehow he didn't get into frag, but he had high cost, trading his teammates, getting
traded himself, always finding place in the mid to late-bump for his team as well, so
the few rounds where things could go the wrong way, he says actually, no, you gotta make
them score in the right way instead and get that bound victory.
I also don't think I saw any exit frags from them as well, so all of those were very much
impactful.
Impact kills, impact frags, a lot of them were on third or opening or trading, really
important once.
I love to see that there from KLZ and from Leftovers as a whole. It means I'll also get a chance to speak with them.
I have a thing that I'm going to talk to Janus in the Challenges series, or Challenges interview, off the top of my head.
But yeah, really exciting to see what these guys are going to cook for the rest of the stage because it's only just begun, thank you.
And we actually do have Janus on the phone ready for his interview. Janus, welcome on in.
First of all, I want to say congratulations on your first win in Tier 1 in the APL, but I have to ask,
what was it like in the server? Because you were getting very excited, you called the GG early, you saw a little bit of smack talk,
I saw you shooting bodies, are you excited to be in the APL and getting your first win on the board? It certainly looks like it.
like it? Yeah we're all excited it's like a great feeling you know it's like it just feels
surreal like I'd be here everyone we weren't even supposed to be here and then like that I should
probably just have to make a game fun make it fun for the viewers get fun for everyone
at the end of the day it's like all talk in game and like it's like something to like
that I mean like uh that's up with the mental like the other day mental is like a big part
out of this game, in my opinion, so like, yeah.
Like, we, it's like, how do I say, like,
getting our first win is like, good here.
Hopefully we can build a momentum and like,
upset some teams, but like, expected because like, yeah.
Mention how you're not supposed to be here
and this is my first time watching you guys play.
I didn't expect much because you guys are new, of course.
You guys have good chemistry, good strategy,
really good discipline as well,
like the 2v1s and 2v2s, talk me about like the IGL, the leadership, who is controlling
all these players and how did you guys get so good so quickly?
Without chemistry and like, I like, OMS is like, this game naturally since like, majority
of us like, play together a lot, like you see that's just me, me, Kenzie, get a lot,
Even with Edward, we play with him ranked a lot.
With our...
We worked on our discipline a lot in sprints because we managed to throw a lot of rounds,
like going for kills, and now we turned it down a bit.
It's actually good to see that we didn't throw much rounds at all.
Like, we played as a team, no one was chasing for frags, no one was like...
Like, doing their own thing, like going for highlight plays or something.
With our IGL, it's like Zilx is our main caller, then me and Z3 Charmin.
Even Chelsea and Edward are good with timing in, like finding gaps, finding calls, making
calls.
Everyone, when we have like a part already cleared out or taken, anyone can call like
pause or break.
Everyone should not throw it around, do not throw it at advantage, we play together, like
even when we're like banned down like 3B5, 4B5, we just, we know we can still win since
We are one of, like, we are all gannets,
really, like, even JTB, even though he's on sport and Edward,
they're like insane gannets, like these things,
actually insane as well.
Yeah, it seems to be the superpower of your roster at the moment.
Another superpower that we saw was KLZ.
Now, he turned 18 one day before the Challenger Circuit qualifiers opened up.
So he's a very new player to the scene,
but you say you've been playing with him for a while,
I've been playing with him for longer than that.
I've been playing with him since before he was 18.
What do you know about his story, you know,
up and coming into the scene
and potentially looking to enter the pro scene?
With KSZ, me and him, I played ranked since like,
I think even quarantine,
like since quarantine we've been playing.
I've known this guy for like a long time.
We've been like good best buddies or like best friends even.
I'm actually glad that I got to,
I got a chance to play with him, because initially he was supposed to be in Sharper now.
And we've always wanted to be in a 4 team together, even a T2 team.
We only managed to play in T2 once, and then once I found out that he wasn't going to get picked up in APL,
I was like, come here, we play T2, then suddenly we found out that we can go T1,
and we were both happy. This guy is actually insane.
I generally think this guy is the future of Thailand.
and he's like the next coming off the tail like next to feets, whatever like one of the best
guys I've ever known and seen like actually in same prevention. I guess you have two things
to thank Sol's heart for one for disbanding so there's extra slots into the league and for two
for i9 because they disbanded going to Sharpa so that you guys can keep KLZ. I'll let you take the
mic now Yannis if you have any shoutouts before we close up the interview. Thank you for our
friends and friends for like, if we even have friends that support us, thank you to our families,
my dad, my stepmom, my siblings, my college friends, like even like supporting right now,
coach, Slim and Lance, they've done insane prep work against these guys which made us easier,
made it so easy again for us to defeat them and I would like to thank my girlfriend for like
like supporting me a lot and giving me like,
hungry for like balloons.
I've spoken to the R6PH community before, Yana.
So I know for a fact you have fans
and even if you don't have anyone else,
you've certainly earned me as a fan
with the way you guys have been playing.
Good night and good luck in your next game
against Elfin Eastwater.
See you tomorrow.
Bye.
Yeah.
I think it's a very good chance
that we'll see him tomorrow, Pengu.
The next match up, as I said,
is against Dolphin, the old HLT roster, which Janus was kind of talking a bit of smack about
during that game. After that though, they play against Weibo, so it's going to get harder
and it's going to get easier. I think it still remains to be seen what leftovers will look
like in the long run.
Now you're completely right about that, James, and we've got more games to be played, so
we're going to go to a quick break. Do not go anywhere. We're back in a few minutes.
Hi, my name is Taylor Ching aka Turd. I play for Webo Gaming in the APL. My earliest gaming
memories was on the PlayStation 3 with my dad. I used to play Call of Duty the first
modern warfare I think, like Cod 4. I used to play a lot with my dad on the PS3, like
sitting his lap, holding the controller, they learned how to play. After that, I was three
years old at the time. I'm not sure when, maybe a few years later I'd play a lot of
like GTA 4, so yeah very child-friendly games. Yeah off of that I would just play
like all of the new coolies that would come out every year, play a few racing
games like Need for Speed and stuff, but yeah mostly just like the coolies every
year. When I was 15 I kind of saw like a lot of my friends around me were kind of
starting to get PCs like they'd get part-time jobs, save up and buy a PC. All
of the youtubers I was watching as well, streamers were getting PCs, ended up
working with my dad for like a summer or something. My parents helped me buy PC for my 15th birthday.
My little sister was seven years younger to me so we never really had hung out and especially never
really played games together. Like by the time she was able to function as a human being, like I was
already playing a lot of like single-play games, not really playing like kid-friendly games and my
older sister just never had interest in it to us. I first played Siege when I was 11 years old I want
to say in the first beta in 2015, I played, I thought the main game mode of the game was
terrorist huh? I very very remember like play on canal, I would settle my drone, go red ping
all of the terrorists and then go kill them and I would do that like on repeat I thought
it was so fun. I literally didn't know that it wasn't the main game mode. I ended up going
through all the situations and stuff and it was fun and yeah I just never, never even
thought to like press the multiplayer button. Not until a full game released and probably
not until like a month after the full game release. I was just so excited. I would even replay the
situations over and over and like thinking back to that I haven't touched the situations in maybe
seven years. If the situation is a revamp then yeah I would definitely go get on a once through but
not more than once. Yeah so when I first got my PC the main game I was playing was like Siege like
in the you know the competitive mode like the ranked mode I was playing a lot of Siege but I also
tried out like Valorant kind of when the COVID era hit it was around around the same as time like I
I got my PC and I was 2019 and COVID-2020 so I played a lot of Battlefield as well.
I'm mixing like Minecraft, 2K, racing games, stuff like that but my heart's always been
in shooter games.
I actually quit Siege for like six months when it came out but ended up coming back
as most people that quit Siege do.
I played a little bit of like card rank play which is my makes and stuff from IRLs but
nothing really as seriously as Siege.
For me, single player games.
I think they're more enjoyable than multiplayer games, especially as I've gotten older, when
I was growing up, around my teenage years, I enjoyed multiplayer games more, especially
when you're still progressing and climbing the ranks in multiplayer games.
I feel like that's more enjoyable than being the top rank and smashing everyone, and then
it goes to single-player games are more enjoyable.
I haven't always been a quiet natured person, especially in the ranked lobbies.
I like talking my shit, but it's usually just all on the server.
when I meet people that I've talked shit to, like it's all, I can always like put it behind
me and just keep it in the server. I think that my mom was a bit confused at first when
she saw me like typing in chat a lot and talking trash to the other team, but I think like
over time she's understand that's just a part of like who I am, my online persona.
Well, great chance for the young town to show what they're made of in our first game, Pengu.
But of course, we have more games today. We've got three more. And while this next team that's playing isn't necessarily new as a roster, it's a new team in terms of the players that have joined it.
Elevate, I'm really excited to talk about what their potential is now with all of these former Souls Heart players and a former Waybo player joining their roster.
Kept the best and upgraded the rest as many greats have said prior
N.I.Cal the young gun from C4. He stayed, Paul G, the OG
Reunited with Arpae back in the game and gladiators Indonesian days in Alistair Punch and Scatman
Long-term Souls heart players have joined this roster and now we've got kind of a
exact team here. Like these are five players who have all got a lot of good things to say about themselves and their history is within the region
This is kind of like the beauty of losing two teams, like we got to find a positive from a negative, right?
Losing two teams from Asia as a sub-region means that you're kind of just like compressing
the eight remaining teams, or the teams that are there remaining whether,
where you're going to get all the best players on even less teams,
and get two new teams tier two to retake those old spots.
So essentially, it feels like everyone got better,
and they got better, Sharper arguably got better,
obviously Leftovers got their fair share of people as well,
So it does feel like across the board that it might make the remaining teams more competitive because of this.
Yeah. Yeah.
I think so. I think so.
Looking at their last game that we saw them play in Play Day 1, they did lose it to Sharper, but let's be real, like that's a very hard team.
I mean, you're talking about, I think, the second best team in the league at the moment in Sharper,
because they also got some of the old guard from Sol's hide in I9 who made his return to the roster.
Yeah, and yeah, of course now we're talking about the opposition for
Elevate in their match tonight. It is fury a team that is very familiar to a lot of people in the region in terms of the name of the
Org and they also learn old souls heart player
They've got Mark and who's come and joined this team, which yeah
I don't know what to say about fury in pager to be honest
They've obviously since the now sharper players the part of this roster with the exception of dark
I feel like the expectations have dropped a lot, but you look at the talent on this team, especially now
You know labyrinth is a very infamous player through his one one success very talented
Now you've got mark on the squad dark has so much experience with that old fury team and roll beanie the same
So on paper now fury should be looking like a much better team
I think for few is about aligning on a single a play style
You know the way of approaching every single match point defense and attack because I think they can very quickly find themselves going to very specific directions
You know some players want to fight fight fight thinking of labyrinth right the one-to-one guy and other people go all guys is play structure strategy
Let's get a fine drone going both styles are great
We want to align to one single way of playing it for each individual rather force and then kind of ping pong between the next one
Of course, then on the back end Vex is many
if the nominal cannot switch roles. So many would include the enlist, if the nominal ever
enlist the coaching staff. So maybe also in their network and how they go into these games,
how they control call, technical timeouts, maybe that's also going to give them a better result
as well with these games. Yeah, very much for the case. Let's see where we'll be going.
For the previous playday, we saw Elevate play on clubhouse, we saw Fury play on Villa. We're not
going to see either here. Sadly, Villa getting banned on out pretty early by Elevate, interestingly
enough they don't want to go to a map they've already seen Fury play we go to
labs again second time of the night and for elevate you can look back into
historical data but I feel like what's the point they have three new players on
the squad yeah like I said before right I just feel like my even is gonna be the
new order you meet in the middle everyone else is going to be too active and
it's handsome defensive very similar and quite simple so great to start your
journey in the beginning of a stage we are it's a second player for Asia
which is about to enter.
Here we are and here's a head-to-head between Enhai, Cal and Labyrinth.
I'm loving this new Operator card. I'm loving all the stats we're getting and all the cute little overlays
that the broadcast has to be brought into Stage 2.
Loving seeing it, especially when it gets to highlight these up-and-coming new players, which has been a very much talking point sometimes.
Up-and-coming...
I've been commercial training players since I was a mom.
I had a brain file for a second and I do see it for a second and I'm back now.
Did you do anything?
An email?
Did you just click the X icon or?
Kind of.
The side button on my mouse is bound to the back, like go back on a web browser.
I was trying to move my mouse and I accidentally clicked it which then went back on the web
page which I've logged into to the broadcast so yeah anyway there's a
people I could say we're gonna stay maybe
well image hour from us what is going on I choose my Instagram name midcast
you're taking back and exiting the program like productions joining it on
the fun as well I think we the producers to send them like live next time as
well you guys are home to hear all the shenanigans that's off to you now but
But I was gonna say is even when it's not new talent coming into the like the scene
It's new talent into specific Ross's that's very much the story for both these teams. It's mr. Punch versus Mark
I mean for the longest time Pengu because market mr. Punch joined
The old elevate team at the same time
So I always thought of them as inseparable market mr. Punch like you know
you know, Barz and Woody, you know, any dynamic duo that you come to expect, it's Neskampalu,
Fabian and Pingu, it's so weird to see them on opposite teams, but yeah, it's a chance
for Mark to play against two of his old teammates now on elevate.
Expect that very fast pace here, especially when players like N.I.Kal want to get into
the action, upheal for roaming, extend the units out of kitchen, locking in one of the
points, main on Fury reaching our external walls, labyrinth with no utility here with the capital,
gasophia, or potential verticality later on. Even bring out the maverick to just guarantee
get through that reinforcement on the IT wall because we see an elevated banding wave called
the ace and the thermite. So how brief she is going to be left open to maverick, tibana,
and the secondary harpage can openers, which will slow down the first step of the attack,
We're so fury gotta be patient right now. They gotta wait for Maverick to open up the wall here before you do anything else
No one can rush into the building beforehand. It's very important. You follow those steps together
Otherwise you can easily find yourself loose in that opening engagement and start a lot in the 45
I love the heart breach fans, but I'm also gonna be honest like I love Maverick. He's been one of my favorite
Favorite operators ever since he was introduced
Very powerful here
You also praise the AR every time we talk about America like this gun is so good probably like a top three gun in the whole game.
Which uh, yeah apparently is.
I didn't tell you that it is, but I don't think it is.
Either way, risk battle might happen here in Garret Store, charge before swing.
It's not really if you like to use it.
And I guess it was done early.
Oh I said I angled F for Ape as he continues to run amok.
In the interview with Sharpa last week, when we were asking like Hollis what he thought
of in your elevator roster, he said, we think that they're just going to go back to their
old ways.
Arpe is going to play really loose and aggressive like he used to before he was rated onto a
specific role on Weibo, we think, and Hickel will do the same.
And I think that is what we're seeing.
I think like Hollis has a pretty good read on the elevate play style.
Arpe is looking to try and get aggressive.
aggression can be a very good tool to utilize but also if you're up against a team that's working
together at getting those individual kills that can become a punishment all of a sudden.
If you're running out of time though, to feed it downstairs, watch the propane denial and maybe
a kill with your second or with the hammer get you by the lifeline, the big booms below.
Our guys has 20 seconds to go, we got a bomb site wall to locate.
This opportunity there for Mark, he almost found the shot.
as Elevator still happily just sitting back and waiting on the bomb site.
Nitro Sal could be perfectly placed and safe down mark indeed it is and now told
you up close and personal with the shotty. Good pre-fire though from Kaneki
traded back immediately on the bomb site. Just two players left off for Elevator
all they have to do is stay alive and Scatman knows just how to do that.
Quick fist pumps for Elevate and the first round on the board.
A dense small things really there costing the attack and side and you can
And I argued that the Harpich bands actually played into it.
Getting onto the Maverick and the secondary Harpich can opener, they just took a little
bit more time than usual to get through that very first step.
And then they were not really speeding up in the second step, which meant when it came
to the third and final, Bombs had executed, they didn't have a ton of time.
I think when Blackbeard swung the Bombs, I rotated and saw a smoke, throwing a toxic
babe straight in his face.
He said, okay guys, 20 seconds left, smoke just got popped, we're going to have 8 seconds
left remaining to push the Bombs aside.
This is not ideal. C4 comes out, gets a kill, gets an injure, a round very quickly falls apart.
And this is honestly one of the most underrated and kind of surprising things that you have to manage as a Pope's Siege player or in tier 2, tier 3, etc. as well.
Managing the clock, understanding when you're supposed to be at a certain point in the map based off of the operators they have, the operators you have, the opposite of them bend away.
Because if you have this like mental checklist which every Siege player should have, right?
Okay, we gotta get the main wall by 2.10, then we're on track.
What happens if we don't get up at 2.10 is we gotta speed up somewhere and cut a corner.
Then we gotta figure out what corner can we cut with the least risk.
It's gonna be not sitting in a flank drone, is it not droning every room in front of you
and taking a risk hand with the risk of falling on the corner and you just die?
And if you don't make any of those adaptations of speeding up,
you'll see what happened there to Fury.
Not enough time and the clock comes the biggest, sorry.
Yeah, every operator has its drawback, and as much as it pains me to admit it, now there's
the drawback for me.
Oh, yeah, that's it.
Castle Barricade, speaking about delaying time, Castle Barricades do the same thing.
And they will easily destroy that, but now the information is going to fed to the defense
that there is a player on this window and it'd burn a nade to try and reach it open.
is just meant to be the cut player here. Oh, default cam is up. I'm lucky. Wow, it's a lot of damage on
the mark from Mr Punch. The kaneki outside will finish off not just Arpe, but in Haikau. Good work
from Fury to make that pressure inside the map. Mr Punch does eventually go for the peak outside
on that player that he'd spotted on the default cam, but traded quickly by Fury. 2v4 now for Elevate,
not a good position to be in.
Yeah, that's a really false in the problem right now, but look at the attack, also the
defending lineup, Royal Maestro's smoke with Castle supporting them, you'd think that they
want the time to take down into a plant denial, but they're fighting the roam extensively.
Probably finds Kenneke, so it becomes winnable with the Toxic Babes, the Maestro Evaluized
downstairs as well, like planting should not really be a possibility here from the start
of Fury, it might need to go for a pick first, and that is where getting Captive Fire, the
Time for the Call of Duty and Monty getting the intel and work really great together.
I guess the question for me is, will Scatman use the Toxic Bates right now trying to deal
with Mark and the Monty or keep them for the late-front usage in his time records to be
a bigger and bigger pressure point?
I don't know where Levereth is going as well because he's got the only hard breach left
on the team which could open another avenue.
Elevate can just put their backs to the wall at the moment.
Not have to worry about anything behind them.
Time is still ticking away.
he has one more boogie jointing pocket but he doesn't go upstairs to create the
vert I feel like Fury here are cutting corners and I think it's going to
punish the fire. Beautiful work from ToLG with the Maestro combining with those
Goyo fires to get that kill on to Mark and now it is all down to just two
players from Fury, Roldini and Labyrinth the old guard what can they do I mean
not much in my opinion 18 seconds these guys had a minute before V2 and they
have blundered the round there's surely no way back into it from now Rodini looks lost
Labyrinth is still outside just barely getting into the building now and the defuse has been
locked away locking key from Scatman and Toji together on the bomb site Labyrinth can now
throw his best but the Maestro will deny it and that's an MVP round from Toji on that
Maestro with those evil eyes.
And again the timer is the biggest enemy for the attack once again.
I mean nothing happened for a good minute.
Guys, it's a 3v2 with Ram, Monty, Capitao.
They finished that round on a loss with one Boogie Drone in pocket.
Both Capitao fires, maybe a gone 6 on Capitao's second there, I'm not entirely certain.
And a smoke from Capitao.
And two flashbangs from Ram.
My point is they never got to spend it.
moment right here when you get to this round state 4v2 with almost two minutes to go you don't
maverick the external wall until the ram does the verticality right it's about the sequencing here
you get the ram boogie turns out destroy the forward beam maverick goes as at the breach
makes a line cuts the bombs out in half you walk in default plant you stop planting and the second
guy can shoot the evil eye from the maestro as he's trying to sap back and opening up that eye
All of a sudden you have like conjured a very good way of winning the round.
Instead, the ram only spends one boogie drone, you play beneath the bird, you get the kill
to a bunch of super deep in the bottom side of the organics to evilize and go your fires
and what not, and you're all taken hard.
It looks like from a theory's perspective, you're like a clear IGL who's saying guys,
we're doing this strategy, you guys will go over here and feed me info on the next step.
This site get a bunch of individuals trying to make the play be the hero or what not and
it is buzzing them together, especially in that leg round.
So that's what happened to the next round, new bomb site chosen here.
A new chance for Fury to show us something.
They tend to continue backing in.
Back shield, they want to use Mark to try and beat the linchpin.
Careful on which to execute.
I respect our old enemy who can get info as well.
I feel like if you're here, you've got to commit.
Take top floor, take basement.
I know it's hard work, there's a lot of layers,
but I just feel like they're losing these rounds
because they aren't taking enough map control.
Looks like they have a bit of a shed here.
They used a half-bridge can on the top left of IC wall
so they can use smokes and fires through here.
They come, they rush to one side.
Gabbatham, in case there was smoke in it, all the C4s.
How comes that pressure now?
Stapman on the bomb site, out comes the shotgun.
Massive damage done!
Mr. Punch finds the killing blows on the two of those players jumping in.
And they elevate, withstand that, meaning execute.
There just was not enough substance from Fury for it.
I think the 1v5, it's not happening.
No U2 to speak of, and a narrow angle is won by Ape.
With the MP5, no scope, no worries.
Kineke a little bit of frustration from him on that one.
As the fist pumps come out, Fatalgy and the Elevate boys,
they're really starting to run away with this.
And again, it's not a bad execute necessarily from Fury,
but it's the wrong round to do it.
There were three defenders downstairs waiting by the bomb site.
That rush works.
If there's been to one guy and you can jump in, take the gun fight,
get the kill, then start planting midi after.
Then that's just watching for the pentanyl, you impede midair, you win the round.
But they jump in 2v3.
They're fighting the vert, they're fighting the people, they impact and see 4 of the torsion
babes and it doesn't go their way again.
They're gonna call their tactical timeout which makes perfect sense because they gotta make
some drastic immediate changes right now otherwise this could very well become one of those 7-0s,
7-1 kind of games.
Yeah for sure, I know the operator bands have come out as well.
Fury decided to get rid of the bandit which is a curious one for me because we didn't see a bandit
plate so far any of the three rounds yeah for elevate you mentioned earlier but
there's been a change as well with Fury in terms of their support staff right
like they've brought on phenomenal swap gaps their support stuff so phenomenal
is the main coach speaking to the players just because the language barrier
made things a little bit more difficult previously I wonder if it'll help out
Man, there seems to be something wrong for Fury, something they couldn't quite put their
finger on.
And while they have had roster upgrades this stage, they're still struggling to compete
with teams in the upper new pack of Asia League.
attackers have discovered the location of a bomb, what's the shift going to be though?
I mean look at the attacker repick to the different operators so it's just going to
be a pacing style change, I have to see, I mentioned the bandit band as well and not
really being played, I guess this whole issue of like you know if they bend the marrigan
You know by the band that you cook you gotta help the load and then I will go back to you and I gym for an email
What's we easy boy at this point where?
Fresh and Leo spoke and this is a female
Talk about the concept of whole players should be able to deal with bandit kai without into ban the operators
I go Sophia downstairs playing that sure mating capital second in peace, etc
I view long for the day where we don't see high bandit band and like 85% of podiums both internationally and domestic
Yeah. Look, I don't think that it's like the operators are just so good that you have to
ban them, but I think it just allows teams to focus on a different part of the round.
I mean, Siege is one of these unique games where, I mean, for an FPS, this is common,
I would say in MOBA titles, not that I know much about them, as you know, Pengu, but like
there are very much distinct phases of, even action phase in Siege, right, where the game
is played like you have different objectives. The objective right now is to open this wall.
The objective right now is to clear this room.
The objective right now is to kill this power position.
Like, very distinct and different things you have to do.
And by banning Bandit Kaid,
you eliminate one of those phases, which is wall deny.
And I think it's kind of the flow on effect
with what that does to the rest of the round, right?
It gives you more time to complete the other objectives.
And it would be nice if teams were more flexible,
and they could ban different operators,
but I understand why they're doing it.
After the technical timeout, after the third operator ban, we're left with more of the
same for now, but this could be a line of the buildbook, right?
Miss your twice cut once, this could be Fury trying to be perfect, at the cost of time.
But if you do find that perfect execute and get in the building, get in the bomb side
to have a chance of winning, it would all be worth it.
How can you do it?
Well, Sophia, look from below, Mark and the shield can walk on in, Labyrinth is towards
the back to go get something out, doesn't find a second but still not the right way
if you'd start off this front either. Losing him early.
Nice little return for Arpe as well, of course he was dropped from Weibo slash departed Weibo
and clearly was not comfortable on the roles that Weibo had him on. Now he's allowed to play with
a bit more freedom and aggression like the days of old back when he was on GG. He's looking a lot
more comfy and he's helping out the team a lot. He will go down however to Dark who clears his
corners nicely, forced back by the razor bloom shell. Now Scatman is getting really aggro right up
in his face could jump up at any moment, but D.I. actually finds that kill on a Mr. Punch,
portrayed from Scatman, immediately jumps on through. Fury have found their moment,
and with Mark finding that kill onto his old captain, it all comes down to when High Cal who
will fall. Fury just barely get it across the line after their tactical timeout, they finally get
their first round. Very well needed first time as well, and again it didn't start off the right
way, but they committed to the bit, and he had the right place in the right location,
actually winning their gun fight. It was a very good response there. When it was into the 2v2,
Blackbeard immediately goes for a prefire on the boost spot inside of Connector,
reading that play ahead of time, giving them a fighting chance. I don't think that it's going
to be too bothered though. They know that winning three rounds in a row on defense of Nighthaven
is a great place to be. You're about to lose one, and if they would like, just like here,
go to a different bomb site. A different top floor is on paper. The easiest one to pick apart as an
attacking team and you saw the struggles of fear previously on the
spaceman portion. That was Elevate fighting on the roam game and losing
three separate members to the roam. They could just do the same strategy but
this time fall back at the right level and not die early and really make fear
work for it up against your operators at Tolja and Maestro and I kill on the
Goyo. There is so much space and time to now here on the side of Elevate.
I'm a little surprised that Maestro was actually picked again. I mean we talked
about this a lot. There are very few players in the world that play Meister in the current
meta, and it's mostly Arwao and Kai on KineTrope. But yeah, the thing is, you play it once,
and it works great. Probably not going to play it a second time, because people will
then bring the braver. Like, if they didn't see the prep phase when you bought the first
time, especially when mythology essentially won the round for them last time around, it
is surprising to me that they'll see the piece again. But look at Fury, right? Like, what
You two do they have to try and counter those evil eyes? Well, a few nades on a couple of operators and then maybe diffuse charges if you're lucky, but certainly no guarantee and it's not quite the value of using Brava to actually hack them and get them for your side.
Difficult as well as like you're playing Brava and getting that drone into the bomb site early in the round is very challenging. There's no drone host at the basement. There's no staircase in the hatch.
So you want to pick the brava to the full roam control clear get the vert then start hacking the cameras and
Well, you can't clear the rumors to begin with brava doesn't get to see any value in the bound
So really is a matter of taking the right tools to get to the side itself and then deal with it when you get there
now though
Not gonna start speeding up here on the attack inside. I do fear by the time I like I keep mentioning
It's gonna be a real factor for this one
But I see a raw rock they could go for a drop hatch here in a warehouse go for a single bridge attack
It could walk down the extra staircase and do the exact same thing
We're all right gives you that flank watchability and limiting the angles of which you can be attacked from
But this is the problem the cargo hold if they want to deal with it
That's gonna burn further time away on the clock. There are two separate offenders waiting here another one in kitchen and a four
Vending staircase. Yeah, look at that. I love it. They'd like to play aggressive kind aggression
It really does remind me of that souls heart squad, Scatman and Mr. Punch's influence on the rest of this team.
But they do fall back here, Pengu, over a minute to go and everyone except for Ape has retreated.
He himself can check for flank push drones. I think this was the plan all along for Ape to look for a late round flank.
flank all about timing right now flank to really get shut down fury if you spend
all this time watching this thank you don't get that kill for free all of a
sudden it goes party party finds a great timing gets it up a now as a scanner as
well but so let's do the check for a further flank attempt in which there is
one for me like how yeah I think he knows about it so check the angle but loose
the fight regardless good chance here for an high cow to flip the round back on
to Fury. We need to win this next fight. Are you kidding me Mark? Holding that angle with
the Blackbeard very aggressively, it's a very big risk. En high Cal now brings out the impact
grenades to go for a flank and he has completely run amok on Fury's push and as Fury tried to
execute onto the bomb site they find mighty resistance there from Elevate as well. Labyrinth
the last one standing, 1v4 with a DMR. We'll find the first but I don't think he's good
much more than that the plant surely not going to go down defuse sat down a nice
edge on the toluji but elevate will recompose the fifth round goes the way
of the defense again it's a 4-1 lead elevate just have one last chance now
the lock in a 5-1 domination in this first half fury have a lot of work to do
to make this game look competitive it's looking better and better I mean
strategically what they were trying to do and what they almost achieved was
actually really sound, but then this happens.
In Ikel walks in, gets the flank watcher, gets the blight bit later for execute, and
just like that, the round goes from super winnable to almost impossible to make happen.
Then a couple of exit frags left from Labyrinth, looking good in the DMR, but it doesn't matter.
It doesn't go into anything about you.
Now Elevate will do the good ol' classic cheeky thing, right?
You're 4-1 up, looking really strong.
Let's get on the clash.
Let's make it absolutely miserable for Fury to play the Shield Operators and further stall down the round.
And then with that, they start playing some trap-ups in the L.A. as well, because they got caught off guard previously by Fury's attack inside here on top floor.
So I like the small bits of the petition that was on the sequel of it here, respecting more from Fury.
Yeah, and Scatman's a good clash as well, he ran by one of those solid hot days.
I wonder how much Mark will know how to counter Scatman, know the intricacies of how he plays,
Especially because Mark is the one on the shields the one that gets hard counted by that class
I have a stupid question. I want to ask you
Hit me. Did you notice the?
Projectile trails that round like every time someone throws a man
This is the state started. Yes. I I only just noticed that our law
I
Think this is an observing thing not an in-game thing. No
I
Okay, yeah, okay, and I only noticed it when we started working my first year of HDL
We take and then email to you and I yesterday I did not know I guess it's for this day
I've done two other broadcasts. This is the first one. I know this
I mean that proves a lot about your casting absurdity. There's no like you're
Yeah, oh told you get to kill on to roll Dini. Okay, ladies and gentlemen great. Okay. What's next?
You could do my job very easily paying you. It looks really cool
the way I never let's not do that that would be a fumble and a half it looks so
pleasing for the eyes right yeah my little trail follows yeah I do love that
I'd love to see that in the free-leave you as well so like when you're you're
looking from like a free camp you can see yeah I know other titles have that as
well and it's very cool we'll also be able to see the previous I guess which we
the players can see, but we can't
Well, we can already say that we just can't see the
In the half a theory like last chance and they're on the attack and
moving into a defense that's fortified the clash and the traps like you said
what is the way that Fury make this happen because I don't think it's just
that guys let's send it because especially now that that clash has been
spotted they're gonna really struggle to try and brute force this
damaging a lot of damage to all. I'm sure Sophia from Cali the grenades flying on in
but again Skevin somehow stays alive and never of himself goes down instead
It's almost sudden this has even more staying power. Yeah, well the poly was the best counter to that clash
We still have one concussion left from the side, but can he he is in the wrong position to try and help out his team
And that made I believe will miss as well
Yeah, scat man can completely control this round here
He's gonna put his shield down and potentially look to try and swing out of it against that Monty or rather the black
Need as well the pressure needs to come out for the players on the rafters
but Roldini has been down by that C4 and Kaneki behind it is struggling to have an impact.
Enhae Kalk gets you to fortify that position with the Kiba barriers as Mark finally does find one.
It's under told you before he's quickly traded back. Dark's the last one standing.
And as quick as it started, Mr. Punch will shut him down, elevate, look for a dominant first half.
Five-one and Fury have just more questions that they'll need to answer on their defense.
I don't get you
You'll never hear my thoughts, I don't get you
For the reason I'm going out on the line
I just can't stop thinking about you
Take it away, take it away, feelin' too good to me
Sittin' on bay, all in your space is where I'm gonna be
Here in this room, what did you do?
I just can't get enough, too caught up in your love
I've been tryin' to forget
But you won't let me stop picking my brain off you
I've been taking it for myself
Asking for help, but nothing seems to work on you
Yeah, you won't let me fight you
You'll never be my love, yeah
You'll never be the only one of mine
Just a game for you
I
But you won't let me, something in my brain holds you
I've been hanging on myself, asking for help
But nothing seems to work on you
Yeah, you, you always made me feel like I'm gay
You'll never leave my castle, yeah, you
You're the reason I'm going out of my mind
I'm really sorry to hear that, but we just don't have any more time to talk about it.
We've got to get back into the broadcast.
If that's okay now, can we get back to the show?
It's fine.
I mean, it's maybe like we can talk more in the next half time.
Yeah, we'll talk about it more in the next half time, but I do anyway, back into it now.
Um, five one first half elevate.
Look, if you, if you're having a bad day, I'm sorry, but you're probably not having
as bad of a day as Fury.
That's a great way of making me feel better.
Just undermine the value of my emotions,
or overvalue the mind.
Did we ever like, you know,
as a stubborn little kid,
you're like, I don't want this for dinner,
and your mom's like, there's starving kids in Africa.
Yeah, there's starving kids. Yeah.
I feel like no experience is unique.
We've all had that experience, you know.
I thought it was just me.
As a result now, I cannot leave third.
food like I live alone I'm often cooking for just myself sometimes I cook for me
and my girlfriend when she's over and like if I like I'll cook a meal either
for one portion or two portions and I have to eat whatever's left so when I
cook for me my girlfriend she just hates what she wants and then I have to eat the
rest I cannot leave food it's just I've been conditioned this way by years of
proper oh my god I I've gone the opposite direction I will make a lot of food at
And I'll meal prep so I have like three four maybe five portions
And then I'll just eat that for a few days because I was just like a tiny eater for most of my life
I was a tiny boy until I was like mid-20s, right?
So I wouldn't eat like half a portion even so an iris ration it so now I have like five different boxes
That in the microwave give it four minutes chef Mike phenomenal friend to half, you know, and you can get some nice nutritionist meal
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Well, elevate the eating good tonight, that's all I can say.
Elevate the eating good.
Did you ever let me want a pro league game?
Did you like celebrate by like ordering good food or going to like a nice restaurant with
your team, especially when you're in Berlin, surely?
In the early days, I would order a pizza, like I had 2016, I was like, you know, 15
Euros, get a pizza gola and that was a good life.
That was my monthly salary for them to...
Exactly.
Exactly but it was tied back then
Well, we didn't really go celebrate I would say in G2, but we had a punishment ritual
That sounds so creepy actually. I'm sorry
If you oversleep and miss a scrim you have to pay for a nice steak restaurant dinner
In which can to gave us like five of them in one year. So he was spending money
So we would do that. It's like a punishment then and then they pay for it
I love that. I love that.
Ooh, I like this.
I mean, I'm just punishing you for these things.
Are you like punishing me?
I don't need to know that he gets up to us, I don't know.
It's a big restaurant, dinners.
Aphase is taking a hell of a lot of damage.
I think he was going for the 3 big booms from below.
Big flank.
Big flank.
Labyrinth on to 0.
Aphase still on 1 HP.
Oh.
Fights the 2 kills.
I can't even see the one sliver of HP he has left, and Kaneki's hungry for more.
Shocking big flank!
Big flank number two, and finally up bay goes down.
It took three players to finally finish off up bay, and theory, just as things look good to a brief moment, it all goes to shit.
Scatman comes in with a pistol to fight both the final kills!
Elevate matchpoint has just come out of nowhere.
Okay, so good dude, I've been finding two pigs with a one HP is absurd and then when
he actually dies to the second flanker they go guys there's only two guys by the bombs
I don't know exactly where they are, they just push on in, force the gunfights because
if we do it quickly enough we can get it done before the final member of defense gets back
up one of the staircases.
So really good quick adaptation from Elevate, again being one step ahead and they do this
again by banning Bandit Kaid having a very quick first step using the vertical pressure
Sofia with the horizontal pressure of the monthly information and just going very quickly through the steps
Yuri I
Said the 717 zero scola and a couple of rounds ago
It just seems like you're missing something today. I guess not really fully clicking. It's a lot of solo plays like for example
Why are we flanking the Sophia downstairs and after the flanker dies as I peek the verticality?
Why doesn't suit us?
Why doesn't somebody peek over the Callity while you're playing this video downstairs at the same time?
They're a small thing and it's something that elevate with themselves and if you were just not really it's not clicking
It's not connecting right now
Looking at the upcoming games here for fury their next matches against wave over there
They're playing day-star and then they finally play left overs like let's let's be frank
I think Fury after today are gonna have a rough couple of weeks
Like you're probably gonna lose to both labor and and day star and even leftovers honestly leftovers are in form right now
I would be very scared if I was fury going up against them
And then they round off the stage with 999
If the Fury loses today, I think they're gonna be in a pretty dire situation to try and get a couple of points on the board in the upcoming games
Like this little mini player from Api, fast in, takes a gunfight, fears getting flanked,
comes straight back out of the building, it's a bit of a quick play that if you don't get
the right result, don't overstay your welcome and end up falling into a gunfight yourself.
You get demos in the mix, dragging that Asami, falls a mark back towards the alcohol hallway,
the gap, IT full control now, that's gonna be the entry path now, the foot holding the
build is gonna be the top lane.
Sneaking on down, all the way to the base and bomb site, you know how these teams are
Only a few force of buff is found at the point for a roam clear.
They're doing two things at once!
Yep. Oh, does get traded back by Labyrinth, but at least that pulls a lot of the attention from Fury
in the direction of the bomb site.
It forces their roamers back to try and support after Roldini fell on the bomb site.
And that really just expedites the whole process.
That kill came out only a minute into the game.
And now the roamers around the palmed Labyrinth is still in the exact same spot where he was not long prior.
In lounge.
He doesn't want to fall back just yet.
I gotta have that steak.
Steak around power.
If you surrender all of that room to your map control immediately, then again, with the ram, with the flag, with the damage,
where the heritage can spot to be in, you want to get one more time?
If you swing off the contact, how many is bad though?
Oh, I like this.
And if he sticks the corner, this could work.
Very cheeky from Kaneki, but Mark is going to overextend as well elsewhere.
Neezer trying to distract.
distract, you'll actually find tolgey. Oh, the nade checks the corner! Perfect from
Scatman! I don't know how he knew, or perhaps he just used his game sense to think about
the possibility. Either way, it's just flitted again. Mark really has to have a big play.
He's going up against his two old teammates right now. It's just him and Dark on the defensive
side. The punch still has flashes to work with. Scatman still has that shield.
If you're preparing a boogie turn up a buff, walk down the exo stairs together, then pop
the boogie, making it a thing that one attacker is still up a buff, and in fact, it might
pull the fusion down stairs.
But if I've been popped though, I must have been away for about 5 seconds, and I'm gonna
make it fast.
Skyline's gonna win this fight, but Mark gets a better of him.
Now 1v2 for Mr. Punch.
As he finds Mark, now it just needs to look for Dark.
15 seconds, he's got the right read, but he doesn't have the right shots.
Fury, keep themselves alive for another breath and for another round.
Thank God for marking that one. They'll find them two kills to stop the push and get them into
a number advantage and making it a very possible round. The only problem is when you start winning
these defensive rounds here, you're going to have to go through different bomb sites, right? You
win basement, really good. The problem is next round, do you go storage, do you go kitchen,
do you go top floor? And if you win that bomb site, you get even less good options.
And that is the problem of being on this particular side of the coin.
You gotta be flawless.
You have full bombsite rotation, go back to base individually, bring into a 6-6, into
a T, and then just keep turning up that pace.
Keep an eye out for Mark.
Keep an eye out.
Attackers have discovered the location of the bomb.
The ground is gonna be a hard slot from here on out on the defense having to try all these
different bombsites.
theory. What do we think now? We've seen a couple of rounds out of Elevate. I'm not
sure how much of the Elevate versus Sharper actually got to see, but compared to the Elevate
last stage, initial impression, I think. Is this an upgrade? Looking better. Are they
contenders for the top four? So I've clearly seen them against Sharper Esports. I saw it
as like a 4-7 loss, I think. I actually didn't know the map. Let me just check the grid. I'm
So I didn't see that match unfortunately, today I would rate Elevate pretty highly,
I think higher than last season, but I do feel like this is a recent theory.
I expected a little bit more from them and I generally think that they can provide us
more than they have today so far.
So I'm looking at the schedule right now, I feel like the next test for Elevate that
gives a bit of a vibe check on how good they actually will be performing this stage is
going to be Play Day 3 through tomorrow, Elevate vs Daystar.
It's going to be the real test that ensures the second half of the game.
Yeah, particularly because they lost to Sharper.
Like Sharper and Daystar, the obvious gatekeepers, are alongside Wabo here, so if Elevate loses convincingly to all three of those teams, I think it's unfortunately quite clear that they won't be able to compete for Asaka.
I feel like this is the moment where it falls apart for theory unless if Markin has an unbelievable
round yet again. In Roldini, 2v5, good shot from Mark. The suppressor helps him out as
well because there's no traces. He gets to drop on another player. How long does he hold
onto the top floor here? I think he can't move forward. Roldini has to stay alive. Now
he's gone down. It'll need to be an ace from Mark. He won't find anything more. Instead
It was only a brief moment when Fury won competitive outside of that.
It was Elevate who looked to climb the mountain, bounce back with this new roster to show that
they can indeed compete here in the Asia League.
Showing me the difference though, I can see Maestro playing the extensive roaming to
those, playing Fallback as well, playing some shows from the attack inside.
I get to be sure there's a lot of different sides to themselves in their second playday
here on the day of the lap.
So, I do think that there's a bit of a new level to these guys, I'm excited to track their journey
throughout the entire chapter of the stage, but on the side of Fury, back to the drawing board,
that good old saying, right, because they just wasn't a big miss from them.
Yeah, sadly, sadly, it seems that they're becoming too much of a common occurrence for Fury.
Too many messes, too many struggles, where are they going to end up at the end of the stage?
I mean, you would have thought that with two new teams coming into the scene from Tier 2,
that it's Fury's best chance to break ahead, right?
Like they were competing very much
with Psychic and Company in stage one,
and they couldn't even compete with Sol's heart,
to the most of the situation,
like Sol's heart were in column 14.
Now that those two teams above Fury have evaporated,
you would think that this is their chance
to make their way up the standings,
but sadly it just doesn't look like that's
where they're heading at the moment.
There's a long way to go for this Tyros
to on the flip side of that elevate.
A big win for them.
their first win with this new roster. I'm sure a big confidence booster for them.
I much needed one of that into their next match coming up tomorrow, as you say,
against day-stars. A big scout for them to try and take a swing at.
I also think it's a very important game here that you don't have to have like
in high calitrug 20 kills. Like, that's how they win the game.
It's very much a team effort across the board.
Yes, you're at scap and going like 10 and 3, up and going 10 and 6,
and they have some big moments getting 2 or 3 kills in a round.
but it was not because of an individual just hitting headshots.
It was an individual playing well,
supported by the team out of information,
in a Monty, in a drone, in a flank watch,
in utilizing the Gadgetree, for example.
So I like how they got into these positions.
It didn't feel like they were crushing a hero play.
The actualists rely on good teamwork.
It's exciting to see from a team in Asia
that sometimes you can't see it
with too much individual striking power in teams.
Well, maybe we could get a little bit of a peek
behind the curtain and see how LFA works
with their coach Cooley on for the interview.
Mate, welcome on in.
First of all, congratulations on the first win
with the new squad.
How are you feeling about it?
I'm very happy.
I'm very proud of the boys.
They put the plan they had into pretty much public motion.
There was a few slips here and there, like one, two rounds
we lost, but I can't say I'm less proud or more proud
than the boys.
They've absolutely lived up my dream here, of this game.
Lovely. Well, happy days, right?
Obviously, APL off-season was a bit wild, across I think all the sub regions, right?
Both in the Irish nation and in the North.
Talk to me about you guys off-season going from stage one into stage two with all the things that happened.
It was shaky. I'll be real.
We were looking at our players and we realised how many APL players don't speak English.
and we then had a real problem and then pretty much like a flying down miracle
came to us where Soha dropped their entire roster and I was like oh boy can I
get Sapa and punch and then I joined shortly after and I was like this is
literally just falling right into my hands it was perfect it was it was a
really weird to get Sapa and Mr. Punch I was a fan of Elevate when they went to
Berlin. It's such a long time. I went solo trip to Berlin for the Berlin Major by myself.
I didn't know anyone just to watch them play and see them play. So it's come real full circle.
Have them now working with me. And they've been absolutely great on the team.
Amazing players. So very happy.
Especially because now they are back playing with Elevate with you just like they were at
the Berlin Major all that time ago. I wanted to ask you a little bit more about
Obviously, you mentioned Scatman, Mr. Punch, also Ape, who has had a bit of a break, but
was on Weibo for a very long time before that, like he's been on arguably the best
team A-Pack has ever seen at some of their peak moments.
But the playstyle looks very different to what we've seen from Weibo, from Sol's heart,
and from the playstyles that these players had on those previous games.
When you talk to me about what's it like bringing on, obviously you're the coach, so you're
meant to be directing along the flow, but you've got these players with so much experience.
What are you listening to from them? What are you hearing from them about the way that
their teams have worked in the past? How you incorporate that into Elevent?
Despite me being the coach and leading them, I'm very much just a guiding hand. They do
a lot of the thinking, they have a lot of the brains behind it, as well as Andy, my
assistant coach and analyst. He brings the straps, then they tinkle with it. I get the
final look over and then we bring it on to the strat book and play it, try it out, test it.
But really their wisdom of how they want to play, different tricks and things that pick up
and different niche tricks that they want to try and do, it really all comes from them.
I'd love to say that I'm the brains of the matter, brains of the team, but really I'm just a humble
7th to them, making sure that their game, their picture is played out correctly and that they have
the right tools and utility to do. Yeah, for sure. Now, finally, before we wrap up, I just want to
ask him in looking back, looking at your results from stage one, lost a Daystar, Waybo, Psychic,
Orchid, Souls, Heart, you know, Beat Fury, and H. Valtteri in your final two games, but you know,
no playoffs for you guys unfortunately. Now that you've got a new roster, a very highly
achieved set of players, and you've seen your first two games, how are you feeling about your
expectations for this stage? Where do you think you're going to slug in at the end of the second
game? I think our aim, and I would say any team's aim is to reach that top two, top one,
and qualify for a second. That's my big dream. My wife's not too happy about it because it's
directly over our honeymoon. I will be working it, but that's kind of what our aim is. Results
from stage one, they weren't great. We worked out a lot of the issues and I think we're
showing that we're a lot better team than we were last stage. Not just like we've got good players,
but like you guys were saying before, that it's actually our teamwork and how we play together.
but that's the real push I've been trying to get these guys to go for.
We're not relying on one player, two players.
Because we've got plenty of star players on this team, plenty of big names.
But sometimes they think they're so much like a 1 in a 1 in a 1 in a million
that they forget they're 1 out of 5 on the lobby.
So I've been trying to get them to really focus on that
and think how am I going to play this as a team and so on.
So that's been kind of my main focus with them in terms of where we want to be.
making sure that we're playing as a team to get that top two.
And I think it's definitely doable.
I think we had a bit of a terrible game against Orkid.
There were a lot of external factors that were affecting it.
And I think that's part of the right reason we didn't do it as well as we wanted to.
Of course Orkid's a very good team, so can't take it away from them as well.
But yeah, I think it was a...
Our aim is to definitely reach top 2, and I think we can definitely do that.
For sure, top 2 would be great, but hey, we've got 7 playdays to try and reach top 4. How about let's start with that?
And of course, day by day, your next one's against Daystar.
I really hope that you have a good match. Go and rest up, and we'll see you tomorrow against Daystar.
See you tomorrow. Thank you very much.
See you later.
Of course, that wraps up Elevate and Fury, but next up we get to see, not only Daystar later today,
today but the big dogs the dragon the one with the target on their back it's
Weber the best team out of Asia going up against former Haltari Dolphin Esport
that is going to be a tough game for the underdogs we'll see that match on the
other side of this short break
In the early days of SEED, like in the first season, I was literally copper, like copper
four or something, so it was a lot of fun even being copper, so I would say it was a
lot more fun.
I wanted to get gold, like gold was my goal at the time, and I literally couldn't get
of cop over I would still log in every day and have fun I had like 300 games in
the first season so it was definitely still fun for me even though I sucked
the very first time that I kind of like clicked in my head that something that I
could be good at or something I could do you know as a job maybe it's like you're
playing champion ranked and you'd verse like a full five-second pros and you beat
them and especially if you play good then you know you kind of get you a bit
cocky you know you're like 15 16 years old you're like well like these guys
like I had to smash them. The second part to that is like when I was playing a lot of ranked
and I was 16, 17 and I'd get like number one in the world. For me that's like an indicator of
you know I can I can do something in this game. For me the biggest barrier to taking
an exit and competing is obviously age like you can't play in the official tier one circuit until
you're 18 so that was a big barrier but another barrier that I faced was I was very good at
burning bridges with other pros because as I said like we were kind of smashing other pros
and then I talk shit to him in the chat.
A lot of them wouldn't like me,
and that's why I never played pro league in OCE when I turned 18,
straight away I went to Asia,
because I don't think many people in OCE like me.
Someone that I can say, like, the relationship has evolved,
and like, kind of one of the last people that I talked shit to a lot when I was underage was like ODA.
He's probably one of the older guys
that I vividly remember talking shit to and he did not like me for a long time.
but it's in 2018 and I joined an actual pro team, the mutual respect between us grew and
yeah obviously I met them in person at events and stuff and it's just a lot easier to see who
a person really is and connect with them on a human level when you see them in real life.
See I would say that's definitely a person that I would remember talking to. Basically I was
smashing everyone on ranked and a lot of people didn't like me as I said. I would smash them
while I was solo queue so obviously they invited me to play. Our core trio of us three,
we would just never lose a game on Southeast Asia. It would be like top one, two, three in
ranked every single season. And yeah, after that, we just got lucky with last coming in,
revamping the league, and all coming in, which is league. I wanted an English-speaking roster,
and they wanted to, you know, they wanted to compete at international events. So we just got
super lucky, to be honest. What made us so good in terms of our core three was that I feel like
we're putting more time into the game than anyone else, even than most of the pros. I was probably
probably putting more time into the game than school and I was in high school at
the time and just like the chemistry as well because even though it's ranked like
we were playing together every day for two years so we know how each other
plays we know what we want to do how we want to play so that kind of chemistry
from playing together so much helped us a lot in the early days of our team. My
parents didn't really ask questions about like what I was doing when I was
playing they knew obviously I spent a lot of hours playing the game didn't
understand like the scale of what I was doing I guess and they didn't know they
didn't like ask questions about who I was playing with because if I said I was
playing with a grown man from China then there might be some questions raised
obviously I had to explain to them when I wanted to go to Singapore at 18 years
old to play a video game full-time but yeah before that they didn't really ask
so that first conversation it was a very long one because I had to explain
everything out to explain like how Pro League works, how you make money because
making money to play a video game is a foreign concept to like a lot of older
people so you have to explain in detail all of that you have to like show proof
as well because obviously moving to a different country at 18 you have to show
proof you have a house to live in you have to show proof like there's safe
people there you're not getting like human traffic a lot of that and just like
explaining to them and showing them that I had a plan yeah that I wasn't just
going on a win. There were definitely doubts like I did okay in school like I
could have gone to any uni I wanted in my city and I could have studied whatever
I wanted. I had an opportunity as well to come to Japan and teach English in
Fukuoka, teach English to like little kids and stuff. There were good
opportunities for me to do other stuff that could have led on to good career
paths but my heart was super invested in gaming. There was no other choice for me
to be honest.
Oh
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
Halfway through the night here in playday 2 of the Angel League here at APL.
Thank you.
I haven't been doing so much mapping.
I feel like the last time you spoke on broadcast was like 20 minutes ago.
Halfway through that interview.
How do you feel like the day has gone so far?
Honestly, it's kind of flown by.
We had a lot of one side results so far, same when I worked A-Pack Nor for Dake, same when
we were the MLMover Cursed, who knows, and I think it's going to stay that way because
James Weibo is up next.
There's only maybe two or three teams in the Asia region that can actually go toe-toe
with them.
I'm not sure if Dolph and Esports won them.
No, I'm not sure they are either.
This is really the, hey can we overuse this word all the time, but it's just such an
appropriate phrase.
It's a David and Goliath matchup.
don't get much bigger than
Wabo Gaming here in Asia. Now, the best team in APAC as a whole. And I feel like that's not too much of a hot take these days with enterprise struggling at the moment with CAG having uncertain form at the eSports World Cup.
Wabo Gaming stand for as the best team that APAC has to offer right now. And with their almost top four performance at EWC that we're just two rounds away from taking down DZ.
They have their eyes that on one thing and to speak easy is to return to Japan
He's the only player in the APL that was actually competing in the last time we had an international event in
Japan in 2019 talking on me pro league finals
He managed to take down the number one he you seeded team back then and he's looking to try and have a splash this time as well
And let's be real like we're not expecting Weber to struggle here today against Dolphin
No, we're not expecting way better to struggle in the best of ones at all.
And probably not even expecting them to struggle in the BR3s.
Way though, undefeated in stage one.
And I think most people expect that to be the same in stage two.
Yeah, actually, looking at their opponent, like you said,
shouldn't be sure today, but Dolphin eSports, the former Kato Tori attack
that they had not having been called Dolphin instead.
They have gone winless so far since they joined Tewa competition.
That great games, yeah?
Winless?
Well, they have won one match.
in a best of three in kickoff against Unreal Nightmare, which came so I could
come in and then disbanded, and that was an 8-7 pin. So the only game that I had won
was a single map in a BO3 and they only won it by one man. So yeah, look it's been
a hard slog for these players. These up-and-comers, they've made a few
loss changes coming into stage two. They've brought on Zists and Nongu and
And Hoxxus has come on as a sub, they say goodbye to a couple of the players, but last week I think we had Hoxxus subbing in anyway for Dongju, so yeah.
It's a team that is still looking for the first shine of light, but despite that I'll say, surprisingly Jovial when I see them playing, they look happy to be here and happy to feel that they're all, but we're not expecting them to change their fortunes against Wave.
Oh, exactly. And now this is one question right here. Where will we play? What map shall we go to?
They played Villa previously. Probably not gonna do that against Waveboy and Matty because how on Earth are you gonna pull that together?
Unless? I don't know, I'm actually gonna do it.
Orchid's a lair.
Okay, lair.
So, we played by...
Yeah, last pick from Webber. Looking at the last time they played where? Lair.
Where? Where? Where? It was in Paris.
It was in Pyre at the last time they played Lair. It was in that quarter final against DarkZero.
This was the map where there were two rounds away from beating DarkZero and making it to some finals.
Had they won on Lair, they would have won against EZ2-0, actually.
They lost at 7-5 on the flip side of that.
We saw a couple of Lair games from Dolphin when there were HLT in Stage 1.
They got three rounds off of Demolka. They got one round off from Solzhaar.
I don't know how to spin this, Panger. This is gonna be a domestic game.
It's gonna be a matter of how many rounds can Dolphin get on the board.
Can they move Puppington and better with their roster changes
because winning should be out of the equation.
No matter how far can they go and how far can they get.
Also, I didn't realize this. The Dolphin has a beard.
Dolphin has a beard.
Dolphin does have a beard.
Man, that's it.
Ooh, I love that, I love to see it.
A very hardcore dolphin.
Thank you, I wanna make a little bit of a game with you.
Next time we see each other, hopefully in a soccer,
if not earlier, let's go and get some jam and bread
and some coffee like we did in Paris, right?
But who's paying, right?
Who's paying?
Well, it depends.
Who's gonna guess how many rounds dolphin
will get in this match?
Whoever gets closer, the other one has to buy them
lunch when we next meet up.
How about it?
I want you to start because I know what I'm gonna say and I think I'm gonna say the same thing, but I want to see if he's
Zero
That was your first mistake. It's one label always lose a single round
That's the lowest CD teams. They always lose the first round of the game. Don't they?
Isn't that the way back? Yeah, and they go flawless after actually did that last week against 999
They lost the very first round and they won seven in a row. Okay, so I'm gonna guess zero rounds
You're gonna guess one round. This is yeah
Okay, you've pointed out a flaw in my plan. I think you might be right. I was hoping you'd go to me this time.
Then one would be like a draw between us, but no.
I mean, if then I'm getting to, then that becomes a draw instead of supposing a way because we're both wrong.
You know, there's something in the middle.
Speaking of the jam and the butter in the bread, I actually started eating it for breakfast since I returned back from the Esports World Cup.
So it got me onto it.
Yeah, I think I told you my breakfast for a while. It's two pieces of toast one with peanut butter one with jam
I don't mix them. I'm not a mix in the PB and J. I feel very American. I'm my little coffee. I love my little coffee
And the three of those together that's
So I'm glad that you joined the jam game. What kind of jam is strawberry jam?
It's currently a
Raspberry jam actually because I thought I bought a strawberry one previously
So they are by a respect to mix it up now
I have two raspberry ones, so there's a French brand of jam that I buy and I keep the jars the glass
They come in beautiful little glass jars with these red lids. I have some
I just I keep little plants in them. I keep all kinds of stuff in them everything in my apartment
I keep hand soap in them like oh, it's
I really want to take it over
Next time I see you on this like handy five jam jars with very little digits in them
It's going to be your kids, your friends and family, every birthday and Christmas.
Maybe I'll make some jam.
Maybe how about this?
If you ever come to Australia again, cross fingers, I'll make you some jam.
I'll make some jam.
My dad told me how to make jam when I was growing up.
I'll make some jam.
Beautiful.
And now we'll settle in, we'll put the jam in the back of our mind, and the game from
the very fall front here.
I bet Waiobang can cook a label.
As well as my dad.
Okay.
Okay, well they lose the first round, that's the first round, that's kind of all eyes away
but right now they have a sloppiest start, then they lock in, often no falling back,
relatively early, syringic ups control, then in the hallway, and by locking stairs, you
know, I'll wave and just jump back to layers, then jump up to the canister, floor jump,
then by reach hatching early and then out of the ready to jump in, sees the razor for
one from here as well. Reapster doesn't expose himself, killer doesn't... oh okay, I think
Teno's a little bit tilted about that one. There he comes out, killer's in a very awkward
spot and Reapster's found a second one, now Speakeasy can spot out, killer's constantly
tempted to go for the ADS. That's a lot of damage, the Nade is going to finish him off,
he jumps outside, the Nade will kill him regardless. 4v2 now, Ziss and Chatham in the last two
standing and speaking as he exposes his head this gives a lifeline to Dolphin.
They both can't afford to fuck all this we know they love losing the first round
but Rebs has something to say, Chathamnit goes down, this will fall as well and
Rebs guarantees that Waybo break the curse no first round loss this time
around for them. He does it all man this guy he's unbelievable right he's playing
Florez thinking support where it used to gadget not gonna see much action just
full sense inside bathroom gets four kills in the round and just does all the
work the entry the exit the mid round it's big easy gotta kill the zone but
with a grenade or the enemy jumping out of the window getting caught on the very
backside there of the explosion unlucky first time from dolphin honestly just
like losing visual fights really just reaps it's the entirety of the run-out
paid out. Gonna go basement change it up and play more of the same right little
denial operators time-wasting operators the only issue here is that Waple they
are not a slow team. If there's one thing that they're very, very, very good at, especially
in domestic play, time is never a problem. They have too much time on their hands. You
can give Waymo two minutes on an attacking round. They would still finish without struggling
on the clock.
Alright, that's kind of cool to see how I love that. Maybe, I mean, interesting scrim
idea.
Could be a good handicap.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, if we have Waybo versus Dolphin or Waybo versus 999, maybe it's a way to make
it more winnable.
Did you ever do any crazy squib ideas where you like set arbitrary rules like you know
you have to win by 30 seconds remaining or you know you're not allowed to do XYZ just
to try and like make things harder for yourselves to practice certain techniques because I mean
you know professional footballers professional sports players they do drills right like they
don't they don't just roll off and play a football match at practice they do drills
to practice specific skills, I've always felt like aside from Aang training, which is the
obvious one, I feel like esports players should do the same.
We've tried stuff like, we very rarely spawn peep in scrims, because we want to play like
a real 5v5, not make it easier for ourselves, like getting a lucky kill, so to speak.
We tried playing against Fnatic, back in Magnus Day, the O's team, where we'd play like Club
House bar with infinite amount of times you can play the same bomb site, with a bar 10
rounds in a row in defense. You can actually get tagged against it. Just to try and make
that bomb site playable. It doesn't lie, if you play the ones you went to, the bomb sites,
you go back to the gate second time. It's not very time efficient. Outside of that, I feel
like we just try to hone our craft because the rainbow succeeds. There are so many tiny
details to worry about that limiting yourself and targeting only one area is not the most
effective use of time necessarily because there's so much to get better at. Not really.
So maybe back in the day, in the U2 meta it would have been more valuable to practice a rafter's takeover.
Yeah, I mean we drive run, right?
We're trying out the backwing and the two reinforcements, the order of which you put down the mute cameras
and you make the road to reinforce the walls, because you've got to get on the timing, semi-castle with Yeager, etc.
And then if there's any tricks that you want to master, like the smoke lineup with a smoke defense or a C4,
C4. Do that in your own time, across the room, solo, take defire, shot down, Reeves gets the kill information, but there's no could be called, actually.
Sunstrike was called and they must try it while he was starting to take that gunfire.
Not a good place to do that.
There's the outline of the projectile there we see as the flash goes out.
From Hovland, flank is on here from Chathamn, but he's gonna get targeted by the Dockabee.
Hangs up the phone, no Jago payload to go through.
The Dockabee nerf has come through already, but we haven't really seen it come into play.
It would get stopped if you walk into a mute jammer or a 2brow canister or anything like that
But we haven't really seen that activated as of yet. I mean 2brows kind of banished from play ever since
the AR-15 nerf
What a patience here from Weber
And as a timer isn't a problem, but 30 seconds left up against Aubrey as I can shunk out, like a blue mistake
So this could be one of those rounds where time will become obstacle unless the backstab here are reached
might as time, but eventually does go for the kill, Reep's still alive in the
bomb site as Gotti looks to try and get that plant down. Shadowman from up above
will fall to Terzter and Weber continue cruising through its two rounds
looking very dominant and Reep's continuing his form, his magical ability to
just get inside that bomb site.
Look at the dolphin.
Yeah, the dolphin's in the beard though. It's missing a beard at the bottom.
look at the signature the D is it yes it's missing a beard it's missing a
beard that's true maybe we need to give it unless the little chin bearded hat I
thought it was it's a mouth but maybe that is the beard I don't know it looks
like a beard in the in the actual logger but it's a bit unusual
I don't know, does the player who made the graphic have a beard or something like that?
One thing I do wonder about Dolphin, I mentioned that they had a sub in their first game.
Nongju is one of the new players, he hasn't played yet.
It was Tenno who subbed in on the first playday, and Tenno is subbing in again.
And a lot, I think you may remember, the player from stage one.
So, even though Dolphin technically made two roster changes, we're only actually seeing
one come into effect because they're still playing with their sub who's playing in Space
1.
You know why?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I'll try to ask the admins and see if they have any word for us.
Yeah.
That'll be a fair thing to figure out.
It makes me curious as to, is this dolphin not playing at 100% because they're missing a player, is it just like he has a job or studies and therefore going to play on certain play days?
So I'd like to know for that on the duration of this roster, like what we're expecting to see player lines from them.
Meanwhile for Wable, the question is can they stay motivated and disciplined in the easier matches because that's something that we always talk about every stage for Wable.
can the actions play flawless, use them in Asia, get first place, go undefeated, time and time again
because eventually, you might get a bit boring but no, it's fun to get all the kills, this time it's Tersta
fast, int you into the bomb site, and that means with the wall being opened up with Thatcher and Monty
they could just go for a smoke EMP panabas point possibly because they've lost that one player
by pressing to the side itself
Yeah, this is another very rough position, Dolphin.
You know, the down on Reeps, I didn't see how that happened, he might be safe to res.
Now he's safe to res for sure here.
But you're right, I mean this is a great way for way to build a real practice,
not in their eyes crossing every single tee, making sure that they don't get complacent.
I mean we've seen even enterprises lost a game already the circular spheres in the O-SLEAGUE.
Waybo don't seem to have the same faults here in Asia.
It's going to be a fullless round.
Gentlemen is going to go down a third step.
Stabbed in the back.
Waybo, I mean something that's so impressive about this team.
They have the consistency to be incredible at their peak and reach their ceiling so often.
but also they just are not complacent at all in the slightest against the bottom teams. I mean,
they will go 7-0 every single game if they can. And that's why I really want to just like assume
that Gohan has so much to do with that as well, right? Like coming with the background that he
has, coming from a very serious region in Brazil with his own personal background and his education.
I have a fun fact about Gohan if you want to hear it. Okay, hit me. I spoke to him at length
in Paris and he was actually training to be in the special forces in Brazil. After he retired from
his liquid playing career he went to go train for special forces and honestly that doesn't surprise
me. I can see him you know holding a I don't know whatever some massive rifle from the Brazilian
Cheshangas primary weapon
He could hold that
It would look small next to him as well like this guy is huge. I'm a tall guy. I feel small
He's tall and he's wide
So I can see that you know mindset from from that work that he did kind of carry into his coaching days as well where
He expects and demands authority and respect, but he's not gonna be mean spirited
But he's a very very nice guy. He might look a little bit mean like visually but you talk to him big smile
Handshake super chatty always makes an effort to come and see hide every event that I see a map
But I said I feel like the players and especially someone like church that who had that you know
Early cockiness ego to him got bench from from bleed. That was the former vapor roster. So minus. There's the plus to it's the pickup
I respect nothing and praise that they always get to
I think that honestly from the outside looking in looks to be the biggest reason how this is
Sure, I'm players like third and people like
Go harder a real evidence that
players can change people can change and
Third might have been a little bit insulin back in the day
But now he is a very mature player
He still likes to talk a lot of smack
But I mean you even heard him in the interviews were playing between the brakes like his first season playing this game
He was hard stuck. His goal was to make gold since then, you know
He's been a champion ranked player and now you know plays on the best team in Asia one of the best players
So this guy is a limit
Reaps walk straight to the bottom side for the third round. He was traded back, but
A waiver keep getting away with this speak easy
Just to make his press note as well. Those are a bit of a pre-fire. It's a chunk of fire. We'll slow him down
impact the public's world there so vertical presence has been established
now when Reeps going in like that and getting smoke is a pretty valuable pick
but they cannot follow off the aggression that Reeps created so it's a bit of a
stalemate right now they gotta kind of figure out okay where's the next gap
where's the next way into the building to be speedy to looking forward trying to avoid that fire from the chunker
finally he gets the kill on the chatterman
Killers and Sunstrike the last two, but nevermind.
Hoping with the shotty.
Big kill on the bomb side, onto that chunka.
Now Sunstrike trying to come back to sight,
targeted by the Daemons, targeted by the lion.
God help this poor guy.
Gotti will help him out.
Yeah, I guess somebody will help him.
Oh God, then Gotti's the next best in line.
Speak easy, throwing a little bit.
Come on, Waybo.
Don't make me pay for a brunch next time
and mix in each other. Yeah shoot that goya why don't you that's that's really
gonna win you the round. Give it a go. Gotti and Terz are sitting back and
waiting as the pandelas ring on out. Sunstrike's just waiting for a kill but
he's not gonna get the chance to do so. Gotti is hiding away and Terz is up above.
Gotti's gonna find the kill. Waybo continue and take no prisoners three
rounds in a row now fourth. A little bit of trawling followed by a little bit of
locking in there from Wable. Again they just find these kills so effortlessly every single time
the fact that they do catch reaps and get the one for and trade is great for dolphin e-sports but
then Speedy does the exact same thing walks in from rocker door and just gets a kill onto the
bottom side and they kind of flood in and that's really it the entire round is over. And that's
also I think the problem with banning an operator like the ace. When you're up against Wable as
too much banny opponent but not going to struggle with reaching the exterior walls right. You're
You're better off banning your Solid Snake, your Deimos, your Dokka B, the Monty.
And I know they have a good Deku from Dolphin, they did ban the Dokka B and Solid Snake,
but I'll just look at the Ace banning going.
How is that gonna matter in this game?
Also because if you look at the harbinger options, I think Ace is like the weakest one.
Like when you open up a wall with an Ace summer charge, you can impact Trigate effortlessly as a defender.
You cannot impact Trigate and X-Kairo's if you put all X-Kairo's down and pop them at the same time.
Not to affirm it either. Yes, it's a good gun. They're very easy to use and fast catch it.
I just feel like it's one of the lower value operators to ban on the harbinger side of things.
Problem is you look at the layers of counter here for the mirror windows. I mean we've got the
Carly and the Twitch together both of which are very strong counters.
Nikko is going to struggle to keep his mirrors intact even with that O-Stand out.
I really am keen to see Carly play it. I just want to play a ton of ranked and hard stick Carly.
Honestly, like I just really want to show the value you can get with that operator.
Four Lances is so much. You can counter so many pieces of Util.
Any deployable shield or other bulletproof Util, bulletproof cameras,
mirror windows
there you go, speaking of, to start we'll use
the twitch drone to take down the first mirror
i think zist is about to get taken down as well
finished off in a second by dotty
ohhh
don't know where he is
let's get out
a group higher on the floor, no?
i think
i feel like i'm so quick, i'm not sure
i saw it though
Okay, that was nice.
So you get the revive, but...
He's not just a...
He didn't even medic you, just run back and forth and get the video score.
Jump to the window!
What the fuck?
Brother!
Shadowman just got absolutely destroyed.
Speak Easy will eventually be traded back,
but the damage has to...
Darned Dolphin are constantly, desperately
just trying to keep their players alive,
trying to save each other.
Rink's got big.
on the dive here. Kill is on his destroyer window feeling so much pressure and he can't
even detonate that first Goyo canister. He will fall. Wow, domination continues four
waybo tests. It's just having a laugh.
Well around the injured three separate defenders and he's got to run back and forth, reviving
and whatnot. And the second to go for it, guess what? They jump in the windows, they
go for it. Double kill. Reaps almost hit a quick 3K for a Twitter clip montage there.
It's again a struggle here for Dolphin eSports and I don't blame them like having a layer up against Waibo in particular is not going to make their life any easier.
But then thinking about every single map in the pool, I just don't know if this map where I'm like this might be winnable.
Maybe we lack because it's brand new and Waibo have less experience on it but Dolphin did play it previously and didn't have to do so themselves.
We lost my confidence for that as well.
It just feels like the map won't matter.
It's all about the matchup.
Waveward is that much better.
Yeah, look, I had to sound like a broken record,
but I don't think even the best teams in Asia would be able to hold a counter to Waveward, I think.
If we had like an APAC league with Super League, where we could blinds APAC North Asia and Oast,
then maybe Weibo in the regular season would be challenged because you just got like
convincing of Talon from you know the top teams in every single region, you know Chiefs, E.P.,
Tag, D. Plus, you would have all of these teams fighting Weibo on a regular basis, getting
better faster and making chances for Weibo to slip up, but I just don't think that they're
going to slip up against the worst teams here in the Asia League, like maybe Daystar on their
Best day in Weber on their worst maybe the same for sharper on their best day Weber on their worst
But look Weber a very good team knocked VP out of the Esports World Cup
They're looking to do something cheeky here. I love that. They're also unafraid to use these kind of set plays in the regular season
Here comes the Amaru straight down the stairs here the gotsy, but the chunk of fire will slow him down prevent him from getting aggro
Chathameth would decide to reinforce himself into the bomb site, but good map control taken by Wabler regardless.
I don't know how they did it, right?
Is it can be allowed through the drone hole to force back the player or at the very least
blind them so that they can see that I'm just flying in the very face.
You have so much belly out of that play.
You got map control, you got the Vrid already. I mean, this is a thing. Wabler doing so many things at the same time.
Literally, the third, with the half-eaching, with the roam clear, with the droning, with
the mini ammo player, now, if they want to, they can just start planting in five seconds
if they actually had the defuser, which they left upstairs.
I love as well the versatility of the players on these specific operators, Gotti, for example,
he's used the Amari for that quick rush, but he's actually using the shotgun for vert.
The Supernova actually is pretty good for vert.
That's a free beat for a turd, and the Chetamen falling earlier, both of those players will
go down in this half with only a single kill each.
Wabo now with the Candela ringing on out and a good spot on that Grishmore.
Gotti is keen and ready to run into that site with the SMG-11, there might not be any players
for him to take down when he gets there though because Turd and Reeps have stolen the rest
of them.
Reeps 9 kills so far.
Looking for lucky number 10, Gotti steals it with the SMG-11, it's another day, another
dollar another day in the office for
Weber gaming six rounds in the half
they find every single one of them
I can't hear the music video.
I

yeah sorry I channeled my
in a kiwi for a second I don't know why I became
a little bit New Zealander
Maybe it's because we're casting Weber, and they've got third star.
Got a Kiwi.
I need Dolphin to lose a round.
Or I started to win a round, right? Because he lost a game.
That's why I'm elated right now.
I'm so excited because I can already taste the succulent...
Wait, what are we going to do?
Like the same traditional, we have our coffee and our jam breads.
That's what we're going to do.
We're going to find that in the next place that we are.
find somewhere where we can have jam and bread and coffee or are we just saying
we're when ever we next event sure you know next event next event we got to do
it in person if it's Japan then what we're gonna go for ramen or sushi I'll
workshop because both of those sounds really good but I feel like sushi though
I was there for one of them I remember which one were you there for
oh the tiny restaurant dude that one was so good yeah we went to the
omakase together as well yeah but that's not sushi that's like a lot of
I was sushi. Yeah, I was sushi, but there's also soup. We don't get super sushi
All right, it's gonna be a seven zero come on way, but seven one. All right
70 we're going back on my car. I ain't no pain
That's a bit rough like that idea
Here comes pretty soon. Oh
I'm gonna keep him locked in here for a while.
First one for Rix.
Swing!
Come on, give him a little bit more, give him a little bit more.
Oh!
Chathamn takes it down, could repeat that.
What?
Leera, dream on a peak here from Chathamn, but he still wins the fight on the turnstile.
Eat your heart out.
Chathamn's trying to overtake Rix, not giving him the chance to do so.
And for the first time in this game, Wave-o are losing the round.
Here we go, Chathamn, low on health though.
This could change very quickly.
I was looking to get a friggin the main breach the bronze on it, but ten hours there
It's punishes big easy as well. This could be the moment James
Dolphin looking for the first time being just two more kills. Hoven and got you standing in their way
Don't you worry none. Hoven's got the boss G
You can do it feel it
Guys guys guys lock in
For me to we can't lose this one, but as we love to say
4v2 is the most loseable advantage you can possibly have. There's just something
that's about it. So many teams get baited into throwing in 4v2s. But how
about this? There's always two halves to a game of Rainbow Six each. This is
Dolphins half.
Closing in, got the net out.
Oh!
There's got a trust in the boss team.
Oh, there was a camel track.
This guy's playing for style points.
As you should be.
Oh, there you go. There's the first of four.
It exists.
Killers are starting to force that plant down.
Halfway. There's no plant denial here.
75!
Guys, there's a pre-fire!
Guest to kill!
But now he's the last one standing in the plant.
He's already down. Shadam in his low HP.
But this is very winnable here.
will go without dying a single time in the entire map.
We're trying to save the perfect score line.
He's 7-0 at the moment.
He's got a baited, oh good pre-fire,
but still doesn't get the kill on the 10-0.
I think he has to run out.
He has to try and take this fight too.
He goes with a pre-fire, doesn't win the fight,
and Shadamn from the other side gets a first round on the board for Dolphin.
Oh my days, there it is.
And again, they get the good punish early.
They actually have the confidence to fight back and walk into Alps
will not get too scared when the Blitz got injured by a C4 beneath them and therefore can push on further
and get the kill after kill after kill. They've done it. The question is, James, can they get even
more or will this be the end of the run? Because usually Wable, they're only good for one round
plus in these kinds of games. I think the Dolphins should win just one more round so that I don't
have to pay for it.
I mean, you are technically closer, but I feel like that's, yeah, they were trolling.
Look, if it's 7-2, I mean, that just feels unfair if you get the win, right?
Because then there were more possible scenarios where you win instead of me, right?
I feel like it has to be- What?
Correct?
Yeah, because otherwise, for me, it's like it's 7-0 or you win, right?
Which is where it's for you.
It's like it could be any score line and you're close to it.
No, no, no, no. Seven-one and I win. Anything else is a draw. Seven-one, you win.
It's not about being close about being correct.
Yeah. Okay.
So we both, yeah. Plus, you can't blame me for you doing a bad job of predicting. Like, that's not fair to me.
Right? Oh, I believe the poll is there for you to get punished. No, you should predict better.
Thank you. I don't know.
My bad, my bad, my bad.
We were rather good at predictions, like when we actually did, you know, sometimes we would
like actually have the castes do predictions, week to week, do you ever win the predictions?
Also, I actually have a massive head-pick about this, okay?
Because they make you predict without knowing the map veto, and I think that's so unfair.
So you'll be like, oh, I think this team is better, but then they play a map that the
team is awful at.
I'm like, well, obviously they're better, but not on that map, so now I don't think they're
gonna win anymore.
So, when I do my battle pass predictions for land events, I have gotten the unique weapon
skin for every single land event that I've worked so far.
I was 18 out of 18 for the weapon skin at EWC.
I just got it in the last game, so, there's that.
All I'm seeing right now from Weber is an active decision not to throw.
It's like we're no longer running the boss G. We're no longer disrespecting them. We let them get the one round
Now it's time to finish it off banana juggling. That's a nice little just skill tests and
Sun strike is gonna go for the double impact not the triple, but that's okay
It's a big easy day here in the area and the wall is now breached
They have one accomplished a lot of time for in the way though
No one's to fear from beneath them
It's a little bit easier actually to penetrate in as well and other walls so this might be
all they're gonna get.
Big question for Dolphin is where is the exit going to actually happen?
I'd split right now using main search control with option with the main breach, bottom of
the box.
Last time in there.
tries to make his way forward it's good control here from golfin actually they've
managed to get mezzanine control without too much of a fight inside bathroom
already way but really given up a lot of ground this round but there is a moment
downstairs below it's certainly has a nitro cell I expect to see that have a
big impact later in the round it's speakeasy nitro that strikes first very
good opening pig bear onto the thermite force them into a bad spot and
striking back with a free kill, 35 seconds to go, and a flank beneath them holding down
the bomb site.
Oh, easy with another.
No need for the flank, but speaking of the bomb site, does the job with the MP7, just
for a little more.
Turds are still below, he's not sure if he finds nothing, as Speakeasy finally goes down,
but now it's time for Turd to retake onto the mezzanine, if he can swing through the
gas he can find them all, but never mind, because the rest of the team steal it first,
It is a 7-1, and I must take bow and say,
Pinger, you were right all along.
It's a 7-1 in favor of Playbo.
And breakfast next time I see you is on me.
Beautiful stuff there.
I wanted to give a big shout out to Dolphinies Poetry.
I believe tonight, generally, I thought
that they had one of the two to get a round-off waiver,
because it's all about catching off your opponent off guard.
They did that, right?
And there are some rounds where they get destroyed.
Sure, it happens, because way board is that much better
than any other team here in the Asia-South region.
Dolphin is still working through it, right?
If you came from Hedgel Chief, they were winless, they got some roster changes, they're still working through their issues.
Every single stage, things get a little bit better and keep at it and stay consistent.
Eventually, they will also get an entire game victory.
Last one though, maybe not against Wave-O, but against another team.
Definitely possible. I mean, keep in mind that you've got plenty more days to go,
But you know, it would be a real sad sight for Dolphin to go through an entire year, kickoff and two stages and I think we'll get a win.
I think they will. They probably will look their next matches upcoming are against leftovers, sharper and then they'll play elevate and then they'll play final play.
They start 999 yeah, that's the 999 is their best chance of getting a win
But they may well be playing it's a 999 who are also
Windless looking for their first victory. So look for Dolphin e-sports one round is all they'll find
It's one round more than I think they got last time they played way
But let's of course go and have a chat to the legend himself speak easy
I'm actually running out of questions at this point. Oh speak easy elevate logo. This is a throwback
Back to the old LFAP days.
But no, okay, big win for you guys today.
7-1 now, I was just meaning we got the correct logo.
Just rolled back the clock for a sec.
All right, another day in the office,
7-1 win for you guys.
Question that I have to ask, right,
is how do you stay consistent against the bottom teams?
Cause I feel like Labo is one of the only teams in the APL
that is consistent against everyone, right?
Like a lot of teams will scale to the level of their opponent, right?
You're playing against a really hard team, so you really lock in, you're playing against
a weaker team, and you get a little bit complacent.
You guys got complacent for one round, but you still won, not only.
Why is it that you guys are so reigned in?
I think it just boils down to fundamentals when we first slide, not the teams that are
not too advanced.
That's why when we stream like T2 teams, we just practice our fundamentals.
You know, yeah, I think it's just all comes up to fundamentals and if they want to change or do something different, then we just
I'm with James here as BDC. We are running out of patience to ask you guys.
Keep going with 7-0 or 7-1.
So I want to ask you, okay, is there anything that you want to talk about?
Anything that's on your mind? It could be mapsite, it could be Villa, for example.
Anything that's like, keep your interest recently?
I think Vila would be interested to see if any teams want to play Vila against us in class.
When I was in IG and Giant, Vila was a pick for us.
I really love Vila, so let's see if anyone wants to...
You have the old strats?
Yeah, but I see everyone is using the old strats.
I don't know.
I'm excited for it.
We spoke to Vicky Fag from...
Sorry?
I just said like let's see who gonna bring us to gila
okay so we worked the ML and we spoke to the league effect from falcons and he said like oh we don't
scrim it we don't play we're watching all the people you know trying to get better at it
and then the day after they played against g2 on gila and they got the late series so
everyone's like bullshit in each other's been like oh we don't play it you're your
saying we got the strats okay back in my day now actually we played gila okay
Yeah, the only difference is the basement, right?
That's the only huge part where it's playable now, you know, for the defense.
But other than that, like, top floor and mid floor, like, it's okay to reuse the old strat.
I think it still works. Just add a few things here and there, and yeah, it's good.
Talking about strats and meta, I want to ask you, after going overseas to EWC,
You play against an entirely different echelon of team when you go over there, Brazil, NA, EU.
What are the teams that you're looking at right now the most for inspiration?
Like, who are the teams that you see globally, you watch their games, maybe your coaching staff brings to you a mattress track.
You're like, wow, this is a really cool way of playing a game. Who's inspiring you right now?
I think there are two teams, when you say that, come to my mind.
That comes to my mind, one is Wildcard from N.A. and few there from Latham.
I think Wildcard has very very good attacks that we can be inspired from.
They do some very very niche stuff with some orbs and I really like that kind of playstyle.
I hope we get to see you guys play against the upcoming events.
Oh thanks please.
No one.
Hey, to be the best you gotta beat the best, you know that better than anyone.
anyone speak easy thank you so much i'm sure we'll talk to you after your next game good luck and we'll see you then see you soon bye bye
i love that look i love how honest we could be with you it was like dude we just keep
asking you beating people oh yeah needs some stuff i didn't know you were gonna say it but
i thought you were gonna ask him the question and i was gonna go i don't know what to ask
because he's right like we've been through this a bit times and then you took it immediately so yeah
I'm just saying what we're all thinking.
Waybo against A on top 7-1 over Dolphin.
Next up though, this could be the team that will be the bridesmaids to Waybo.
The second team to go through from Asia League to the Osaka Major.
May well be one of Daystar or Sharpa, and they're playing in the best of one.
Up next.
I was literally copper like copper four or something so it was a lot of fun even being copper
so I would say it was a lot more fun I wanted to get gold like gold was a my goal at the
time and I literally couldn't get enough copper but I would still log in every day and have
fun I had like 300 games in the first season so it was definitely still fun for me even
though I sucked the very first time that I kind of like clicked in my head that something
that I could be good at, or something I could do as a job maybe.
It's like you're playing champion ranked,
and you adverse like a full five stack of pros,
and you beat them, and especially if you play good,
then you kind of get a bit cocky, you know?
You're like 15, 16 years old,
and you're like, well, these guys suck, I just smashed them.
The second part today is like,
when I was playing a lot of ranked in I was 16, 17,
and I'd get like number one in the world,
for me that's like an indicator of,
I can do something in this game.
For me, the biggest barrier to taking the next step in competing is obviously age.
You can't play in the official tier one circuit until you're 18, so that was a big barrier.
But another barrier that I faced was I was very good at burning bridges with other pros
because, as I said, we were kind of smashing other pros and then I talk shit to them in
the chat.
A lot of them wouldn't like me and that's why I never played Pro League in OCE when I
turned 18 straight away.
I went to Asia because I don't think many people in OCE like me.
that I can say like the relationship has evolved and like kind of one of the last
people that I talked shit to a lot when I was underage was like Oda he's
probably one of the older guys that I vividly remember talking shit and he
did not like me for a long time but it's in 2018 and I joined like an actual
pro team the mutual respect between us grew and yeah obviously I met him in
person at like events and stuff and just a lot easier to like see who a person
really is and connect with them on like a human level you know when you see them
in real life. See, I would say that's definitely a person that I would remember talking shit
to. Basically I was smashing everyone on ranked and a lot of people didn't like me as I said.
I would smash them while I was solo queue so obviously they invited me to play. Our core
trio of us three, we would just never lose a game on Southeast Asia. It would be like
top 1, 2, 3 in ranked every single season and yeah, after that we just got lucky with
last coming in, revamping the league and all coming in which was Bleed. I wanted an English
speaking roster and they wanted to you know they wanted to compete at
international events so we just got super lucky to be honest. What made us so good
in terms of our core 3 was that I felt like we were putting more time into the
game than anyone else even than most of the pros. I was probably putting more
time into the game than school and I was in high school at the time and just like
the chemistry as well because even though it's ranked like we were playing
together every day for two years so we know how each other plays we know what
we want to do how we want to play so that kind of chemistry from playing
give us so much. Helped us a lot in the early days of L10. My parents didn't really ask
questions about like what I was doing when I was playing. They knew obviously I spent
a lot of hours playing the game. Didn't really understand like the scale of what I was doing
I guess. And they didn't know they didn't like ask questions about who I was playing
with. Because if I said I was playing with a grown man from China then there might be
some questions raised. Obviously I had to explain to them when I wanted to go to Singapore
at 18 years old to play a video game full-time. But yeah, before that, it didn't really us.
So that first conversation, it was a very long one because I had to explain everything. I had to
explain like how Pro League works, how you make money because making money to play a video game
is a foreign concept to like a lot of older people. So you have to explain in detail all of that.
You have to like show proof as well because obviously moving to a different country at 18,
you have to show proof you have a house to live in, you have to show proof like there's safe people there
you're not getting like human traffic. A lot of that and just like explaining to them and showing
them that I had a plan yeah that I wasn't just going on a whim. But there were definitely doubts
like I did okay in school like I could have gone to any uni I wanted in my city and I could have
studied whatever I wanted. I had an opportunity as well to come to Japan and teach English in
footballer teaching us like little kids and stuff. There were good opportunities for me to do other stuff
that could have led on to good career paths but my heart was super invested in gaming.
There was no other choice for me to be honest.
I want to revive, switching the game
Ain't doing that on a game, I want to revive
I need a girl with a knife
I need to know how to think, I'm like
I need to give a life, bring it back if they lift me back
I know I'm back, I'm the key to life
Now you in the tank
I'm moving the chains, I know I'm a revive
I'm switching the game, they know that I'm the name
I'm running on fire
go, go, go, go, go
I came back to get it right
I'm running, I'm thinking of the night
You started trying to see the light, let's give it life
Watch it me
This is the last wish
From the eyes, I can dance
As much as I can
As long as it's flowing
I don't want to lose sight of the code that rings far away on the side of my body
I'm running away, I can't leave
This is the last wish
I don't care if it's a lie
I don't care if it's a lie
Let's go
This is the last wish
But it's okay to be like this
I don't want to say anything
I'm lost and I'm waiting for you
I see a movie that's going to be a long way
Even if it's a long distance, it's sweet
I'll let you sleep a little more in this night
There's just one thing left to do today, Pengu.
One more thing.
Do you know what that is?
One more match?
One more match.
It's to play another game of Siege.
And this one is the one I think most excited for.
We are going to be watching people play. We are going to be watching these people and we're going to be saying some things about the game and the way that it's being played by these players.
And who are we watching? Who are we watching? Well, I'm glad that you asked. It's going to be Shafa and it's going to be Daystar. The two second best teams in this league.
Because obviously Waybeau sits down tall at the very top, but who will be that second team to go to Osaka?
I mean, of course, nobody is qualified. Maybe Waybeau won't make it.
But most people are expecting that this will be a league that is mostly about the battle for second than about the battle for the first.
And for a very long time, Daystar were that second best team in this league.
Penger, they went to the sixth of a tational, they went to Salt Lake City,
and yet disaster struck when they lost to Team Walker, now Sharpa, in stage one.
Daystar, they haven't made any roster changes coming into this game.
Haram based it on the interview, but he thinks that gives them an edge.
Do you think that that is true when on the flip side Sharpa had actually had a roster upgrade?
I mean on paper you can see a stronger start for Daystar, maybe like
Sharpa can kind of scale more into the later stage of this season,
but we'll talk about where's the ceiling, where's the floor, this could create a scenario where
Sharper has gotten so much better at the overtake day start off the rip, but honestly looking at
day start, looking at Yao and how he's been getting better and better and also talking to him
due to the interviews, I generally have a lot of faith when it comes to day start performance,
I think they're very much in the conversation with fighting for that second spot, all your second
major, but the gala shows consistency, they've gotten a big job in the first playday and also
up against Leftovers, a 7-3 on Café, that's going to be an easy matchup.
If you're going to be a Sharper, you've got to shoot those for the toe, and what should
be a top 4 team.
For sure, and look, Daystar are one of the only teams that have actually gotten a map
off of Weibo in Asia in recent history.
They did beat them on Nuthaven Labs in Stage 1 in their after-bracket final, and while
they eventually did lose to the now Sharper roster, that's a pretty big win, right?
To have any kind of performance against Weibo.
For some teams it's hard to even get a single round, but of course sharper e-sports have now been buffed up and fortified with their
Old friend I9 who played with Lycolas and Crit J beachy man on for the longest time
He's been off with souls heart for a stint and now he's back reunited again
And I9 is just like one of the best players that Thailand has ever produced and you could say the exact same for
of Crit J and Lycolas as well.
This team is looking really in good form.
They had a tough first match,
elevate against some of Ainah's old teammates,
but they are looking very strong
and they won that game in regulation.
One of the only potential fears
that I might have for this Conroster of Sharper eSports
is the fact that they have so much stardom, right?
You know, get a team like Thury
that we just saw play earlier.
If the individuals are working well, great.
But if the team play isn't there
to back up those individuals, not so great.
You can win against weaker opponents with that sort of mentality and playstyle, but
what we really want to see here is that they can utilize each other, right?
Gaeta9 on a supportive ish operator was going to be a ying spot the entry, or a shield operator
to lead the way forward for his team, half-creature, play that middle ground to play the fragging
fiesta of his teammates, phenomenal stuff, but it's really going to be about teamwork
and cohesion, but like I said, these guys have played together before, they should have
that experience and they should have the synergy.
Yeah, you're right. I mean, it's a collection of very individually talented players in the past though
I will say Tim Walker does they would know in last stage was a very well-rounded team
and they played the game quite methodically and
Yeah, I think that this is a squad that not only has the individual starter, but also has team
Like chemistry, right? And we saw that in stage one, right?
They made it through to that lower bracket final and eventually toppled a star
I mean here a replays from that match at the end of stage one. No question
Like gaystar were the favorite team in this game pangu and yet orchid as they were known at the time
Managed to come back that was without i9 that was back when they were playing with xR lotik
They beat them in the b.o.3 and now they've been buffed with an additional
Experienced high player as well. It feels like that orchid and sharper as they're now known only on the other
I just feel like it actually, yeah.
I mean, Ayan is a player that you always hype up that I always like to talk about as well
because he brings so much to a roster and there's been times in the past where it felt
a bit like he had to have a massive influence on a round for his team to win consistently.
And now in the current iteration of the roster with Jaber eSports, it feels like there is
many more players that can step up and help him achieve those boundaries instead, having
less pressure on his shoulders as an individual.
I feel like Soul's Heart, I know it's all team was a much more like a bunch of players that needed to have a big moment
There was a bit less team cohesion and kind of like what we're seeing on elevate now with some of the remaining Soul's Heart players
I think Orchid and now Sharper as they're known have played as a unit for a lot longer
They really work well around like Holos playing the shields and Critchey, Heaps, both of them were in the top 10 in stage one
I9 was also in the top 10 players for the region
And now sharper eSports with the try and take on day star again for day star to chance at revenge
And we're going to bank a really exciting map for me one of my favorite maps in the pool
It can skew attack a favored which is always a real treat to see and yeah
I mean, it's just a great chance to see these teams go head to head in a best of one
Which could well be a taste of what's to come in the playoffs
I believe that the lower bracket finals in this stage 2, the match that qualifies for the Osaka Major
I think that's gonna be between Daystar and Sharper
This is just a taste test of what is to come for our best teams here in Asia
Seeing Mira and Ying Benderley off the rip and following through we get
Monty L went to smoke actually so quite unusual bans in combination
I would say onto the defending operators mirror and smoke don't often go hand-in-hand
But a heavily targets both the top floor and the base and bomb side off bank
No, we often see the mirror windows being put in red hallway or even on the a bombsite wall downstairs
They can't open up the wall correctly with like a thermal charge and get a bad position
And the smoke of course is being a
Constant very stable pick here in bank. We actually lost the deployable shield some time ago
but then got it back relatively recently and when smoke getting into public shields it's just pickable with a much higher frequency
Yeah, I think that a lot of bank basement comes down to
Platonile and time denial in the late round right and so use that smoke
He's in a lot of ways better than the Tachanka where oh my god. I'm sorry. I got distracted
I9 has gone back to his old name of Maypew. This is such a nice
Wow, oh my god
I love seeing that last week they had the orchid team tags now. They've all gone the sharper team tags sharper
Really cool
To those who have been a pack fans for a while. I'm sure if you remember it's probably not Pengu
Sharpa was actually at a roster in a pack for a very long time. I believe it must be a
Organization, but yeah, they had a team in tier 2 for a very long time
In fact, a lot of the upcoming Thai players actually played on sharper
back in the day. So it's an OG name, an OG org. But yeah, it's very cool to see these players
with those team tags. Really cool to see I9 back with his old name. But yeah, I'm pretty excited
about this mode. I was gonna say it's gonna force a lot more to Chunker play, which we're seeing
here at a like ball this and the basement. Last minute execute will largely revolve around what
happens with that. And that is the exact right workaround to the smoke ban. It's a Chunker,
like half the round-stound thing, but it means you have to catch it out, like you're priming a
weapon, it's a bit high with the lineups and the smaller radius of the gadget. It's not a super
experience to chunk a player, to chunk a team, but that can be a bit tricky. Like Paul is thankfully
dusting to play his operator on a creation, especially in that sort of real layer, since I'm
playing, so he works out just well for them. They start first at 60 seconds, take a good bit of
map control top floor, also successfully taking all of the garage, fighting towards the ramp,
that ramp position at the very back end of it.
I've no real fighting happiness yet.
He's right, he's he's he's he's back, no?
I don't know.
Maybe he didn't. I saw it.
There's a very awkward timing right there.
I mean, this is a theory of a free kill here for BG, man.
Nassil starts to make his way.
So, BG has a better weapon in close range, but you'll fall back.
Need to take a risk at this moment, especially while this team is in the advantage as I say that Napey will fall, but Peach finds one back.
Amazing though for Daystar, that attack will be coming to life for this one.
Zookilo and Helves, sealed with the Cavite on half HP, they got so much useful in pocket, grenade, smoke, screeching.
No real easy way of getting to use it fully.
Thankfully, for Pika here, let me die, you can throw an eight, run over, pick up a second
eight.
You really made your beat.
Good chase, girl.
Hell, I agree.
Man, I'm not a suppressor.
You're really in the age of suppressors, aren't you, these days?
Everyone seems to be loving them.
Pika goes in.
Yeah, they're starting to.
It's up that grenade.
Yeah, I don't...
I'm gonna make fans.
They've been evicted for a while, actually.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You do get a little bit more recalled, but do you know what damage they do?
Do you understand?
Speaking of damage, DP28 from Lycola, this pack's a real punch and one-way angle is going to win that fight every single time.
Low HP here on Azuki, he's not too far behind him and he's going to walk straight into BG man's waiting arms.
Azuki now has no chance, I mean he can't even walk through a piece of barbed wire safely.
The only player that fell was I9, great start to the defence on bank.
Just like really no issues throughout the entirety of that run, right?
It's just clean, simple, you hold the heiress that you need to, you fall back when you have to, very solid round of bank essentially.
But that's the thing about that basing bomb set is that you have so much of favourites of defence,
A pretty strong roam presence, a good fallback strat and a very strong bomb site.
Often Bang comes down to the other side, top floor, tertiary open area.
That's where you ideally have to find success as a defending team, otherwise you're just
going to be looking at an attack or side of the half, so this is where we got to keep
our eyes peeled for, what can we do on top floor?
We bring out the Kaid actually, which is quite unusual.
Obviously gets heavy countered by the Thatcher, secondary and keys.
Callians with these main force walls very commonly we don't really want to deny
necessarily the walls of CEO but rather the elevator wall at least what's up
kento as we used to call it if you set a hallway space to work with
he's gonna do the physicality
he's breaking the floor and slaps it in between the beams there and the reinforcements
they can't be seen from the repo
The idea leveling gets secreted, it's funny like the current meta, the current iteration of the game, nothing is uncountable.
There was an era where if you had a certain setup there was no piece of YouTube that could be available.
But now there's an answer to everything, every hidden coyote, A-Troll can be downloaded, a Flash Ruler, an IQ, every little trick there is some piece of YouTube.
But we have so many operators in the game and you only get to pick 5 in a single run.
So that's the question is, it's not do you have any solution,
like do you have the right one this time around,
like what is the solution that you can do right now?
And that's one of the things I do love about the way
that this game has changed.
Spoke highly of Yao during the intro segment
and he often finds himself on the shield operators,
just like this round on the Blackbeard.
So a lot of work to be done for him
to get into the building into the hallway control.
Before they can do all of that, can they find the kite ball?
Because the Kali lands may be able to get it.
I've seen that it's in between the floorboards
and at the middle beam.
I'm not sure if it's sure on the range indication there,
it's going to be successful.
So I'm going to see if we can find it.
We use the first lands.
No matter of truth, it destroyed the kite ball or not.
I'll tell you just what.
I hear the lights come out.
There's a second one.
We're going to try to take his shield, but there might be more so I could restruggle.
So there I am.
I really don't want to miss that glance.
They start really stalled out here.
They've got a nice set up. A lot of players are playing on these windows, but especially with Pika going down.
Wow, to the ACS-12 there from the Azami as well.
Not a very common pick, but people really favoring these ACOGs.
Acogs even though this weapon doesn't actually pack a punch doesn't do a lot of damage and it has a very low fire rate
Just spiking fully automatic, but it has that a virus
Only if they have some your to bra there right but those guns and others who just used to be so what's the second best option?
It is fluctuating. I can't believe that's a trade may be and sealed both on the ground here
I think that we might be able to see a res maybe from Khrtche
Zuflae's down and they start, unfortunately, running out of ideas. It's just
a Zuki and Yao. I'm not sure if Shapa are aware that Xilu's on the floor, but he's
not getting revived. It's almost certain to hear Yao goes inside, propels in, and he
sees his army's position, but can't do anything about it because of all of
these fortifications. Finally takes him down, but he's the last one standing.
Khrtche finally finishes off Xilu, who was crawling through his life downstairs
and picks up Napier as well. Yeah, 1v4. Good luck, it ain't happening though, and
Peeps will finish him off. Great round, back to back two in a row.
The Sharpa on the defense. Again, Sharpa just not doing anything particularly
fancy, but he's doing all the right things on bank. They have a good problem
solved at the DMR nerf, and they can play Asami inside the quad window
position, get the barrier sob, get some protection from the window rappels, and
a bit of a different angle than the usual default one. And then how do you fix the
ankle with a long gunfire with a hodo scope. You get the ACS-12. He has not the
great best gun, very unusual, but you get the opening pick, you find that headshot
and then you find a bit of space downstairs for Naphew. He gets injured,
then actually gets saved later by his teammates and they find the kills of off
and beneath in the day start. They have no real way to attack from and this is
kind of the influence of the Monty Ben as well. Some people go like why is
Monty good on bank? You can just walk anywhere with the Monty, right?
When you're going for a lobby attack, walk up the staircase. No one can stop you.
You're going to take for a scout attack. Walk in the skylight. No one can stop you.
Abandon just the Monty. But leaving open all the other shields,
you're almost like baiting the enemy to go into the flat here that leads to Fuse.
And while those operators are strong, it is so much more challenging to get good value out of
those shield operators unbanked. Because the map is so large, so much verticality,
and so many ways for it to go wrong. So yeah, while I did find what exit frag last round,
The Operator... I think it hasn't found anything as of yet.
I think the whole conversation of the ACS-Toll is actually really interesting.
I'm looking at the Rainbow Six Wiki, so not the official website, but this is a fan-made Wiki page.
But I'm pretty sure all the stats are correct.
It says that the ACS-Toll actually has 69 damage, which is a lot higher than I thought.
That's only to 15 meters at longer range. 25 means a lot.
also 41 which is a huge drop off that means it's a three hit kill instead of a
two hit kill which is a massive difference yeah and that's the big thing
right like you compare it to a DMR you can actually spam click DMR can't spam
click the ACS 12 in the same way like I said it's fully automatic because if you
hold it down it will keep firing but at a rate of fire of 300 RPM which is like
Like, less than half of the power, 3.08, from capital to the reference, like that's a very, very low fiery.
The comparison, the 417 DMR has 69 damage, but the time to kill is like way faster, like almost 50% faster, just because of the rate of fire increase.
It's about a 450 RPM for like a DMR for reference, and I'll see you guys just in a few seconds.
Yeah, just interesting, interesting stats, but like it just goes to show like the ASUS 12 is not good compared to the DMRs, but like it's worth picking for that ACOG.
It goes to show the nature of how the game plays out at the top level.
I would have thought that scopes were very important, sometimes we had the 1.5x meta that
just like me thawed the best upper than the game and she was awful before the reworked.
We've known how good the scopes are ever since SMG11 had an ACOG view on it.
That guy was still so good at the ACOG, right?
And there's like, Mossy Rony, like, the Rx meta, the Amapai, like, thawing, whatever
they gave the 1.5x go to, it became like the most picked upper in the game, and probably
and Rengar's crazy how effective that was and it feels a bit like the ACOG meta is back in that
regard because there's so few ACOG scopes on defense especially ones that are worth playing
so we'll see what happens there. The attack has just so much good util like the shields and the snake
and the infer ops that the defense has to play more aggressively than in previous metas you can't
sit back and relax if you want to play aggressively you probably want to be taking longer gun fights
with the ACOGs. For now, I mean, after finding Napier on the roam and losing
soup, they're very quiet round. They start trying to form up an attack onto
open area in kitchen, but it really don't have the map control for it. Still, each
side blue, ready to backstab as I say that, he comes to life, goes for a swing,
takes down. Yeah, so Daystar in a very die situation. 15 seconds and one by one
they're just running to the bomb site and die. Sharper complete the world tour,
three different bomb sites, three defenses successful and it's a very grim look to start
day-stars attack half on what should ideally be an attack aside of that.
Yeah and shout out just again nobody's over swinging over committing or exposing us to an
easy gunfight it's like you're waiting by the staircases you're waiting in different
corners of the bombsite saying we don't need to make the first move we have one guy watch the box
one guy watch the main walk in one guy watch the hatch there's no gaps right now and they don't do
do anything. Daystyle in return, they're not in a position where they can communicate
okay let's get the Blackbeard in this position, throw in the grenade, 3-2-1 countdown, drop
down the hatch like they're just kind of fishing, holding angles, waiting and hoping
that Shabba will peek the corners and they aren't. So it really is still up on Daystyle
right now to make a playstyle change and be okay, we're an attacking team, we have to
be the one to initiate the fighting because with the third operator ban they can target
something else the funny enough it really blitz actually which might be
because the one I play on the server staircase maybe better awarding or
something like that I'm slightly certain otherwise this blitz band seems a bit
random because it hasn't been played is a no presence in the game
yeah I mean there was things in the first round and that was the blackbeard
picked for the next two so I guess sharp which we want to force it to be the
blackbeard and not the blitz I think you might be right like maybe it is for the
stairs hold because I rather just stay against it like you than that blitz
right because then you got to play the warden target blinded otherwise you
just gotta die yeah yeah the problem is like there are other ways to carry you
could bring mutes and put mute cameras there like that's still counter splits
right yeah so this is the thing right ever since it changed mute and how it's
logically working with gadgets they're like internal external signal I
I actually don't want to talk about head every single interaction because blitz doesn't have a signal
It's an internal device. So by that logic it wouldn't work against bits. It's like it doesn't work against grim
Alliance
Chat yeah, it's right. Yeah, someone does they want to chat?
I'm not going to be watching the chat
This goes on. I'll have a chat open chat. Tell us please. I'll I'll got you
Chat, does it still count a blitz?
Oh, he's just popped on up, fell one.
Napier supports.
Who cares about the DMRs?
FDX will do the job when it comes to headshots.
And I guess that's the other reason
why you're banning out the blitz
and getting into play to Blackbeard.
Blackbeard's love getting tempted to use that rifle,
aim down sights, and then up being vulnerable.
2v5, I gotta admit it.
Like, this is not what I expected out of the game today,
Penthouse.
I thought Sharpa would be the better team
Yeah, and a day start I feel like the end of stage one plus the roster upgrade bringing on Napier
But I did not expect it to be this dominant
This increased the pace and it just turns into a fast around loss rather than a victory
Look at the kill the power now if you're so you didn't find that kill just now, right?
You have one kill on souffle one kill on gal and exit frag and won't be five mind you and a secret a single kill
Seal and Zero. They, technically speaking, have two kills combined, so fine 4 rounds.
That is, uh, not a good place to be. Now a 3 with that Asuki second kill.
I mean, even if you do count, like, just every single kill that's been taken, even the exits,
like, 4 kills in 4 rounds is not very good.
But it's better than 3 or 2.
Uh, it's still not great. It's still not a good load.
And it's funny that 3 of the kills have been onto Napier as well.
If you as well, like, BGVAN has died once, like, all those peeps in Crit-J have not even been pressured in the three rounds that we've played down the fourth.
And I just can't see a world where they start bringing this back.
2v4 is a winnable in the right scenarios but attacking onto the basement when there's a C4 for planted, ECHO drones up, and even 4 keylets in pocket for crit trade are looked to try and block up the hatches and go for a retake.
I just think it's winnable for Daystar.
That's the issue exactly. They literally have excess amount of angles and camera and utility.
I know that if Sooky walked in and didn't go for a swing, Toxicbe had actually thorn-trapped, sorry, tossed on out.
I know he hasn't turned across the floor just yet, and he can swing on the contrary thorn-tool.
So he walks out to Yo-kai, should be able to take it down indeed.
Another one though in Garage, which like Hollis can move on over.
And yeah, he's...
Will swing at the perfect time to take down the seal.
It's just Sooky left, and yeah, we're not fine with exit, but he's not even gonna get a confirmate.
BG man takes him down four in a row the sharper and it's a very grim state of
affairs for Daystar you can't afford to be going down 0-4 at the start of bank
they need to call their tactical timeout and save the last two rounds in this
half otherwise I think this is gonna be a surprisingly disappointing game.
And it would do exactly that yeah I mean they have no choice it's at full bombs
at rotation going basement in the top into open back to basement B3 at the
worst you get a 4-2-1 non-defense and that is a very scary thing to do guys because you want to get
the 4-2-1 as an attacking team. Also like think of the confidence in the mental going from the attack
on the defense comes out so for day start. They're struggling like no one's winning gunfights,
no one should be feeling themselves, no one's having a good time on the server. That could just
be pure being super quiet in communication and it's going to bleed into a worse and worse on
worse outcome. So I'll ramble right now it's really going to be about getting the guys back
together yeah like guys we got this come on get two rounds now we're gonna be
gonna side swap we can work out on paper stretch just fine okay just gotta
survive the first half that's the entire game plan
no they'll be going with a top four so they can maybe put something for it I
know whether they'll go for it Russia or whether they'll perhaps try and pivot go
for a lobby take but it's gonna be hard without the monty without the blitz
no ying to try and go for an explosive execute i mean sharp it does look like i haven't even
broke a square i saw a little smile there from bgman
a little smoke throw peek i love that from api
i know unusual for him to play maestro compared to his previous roster right like
He wouldn't be the guy to do that before, because he's like a playmaker.
But now you have so many other people that can find those early kills that he can become more of a backline player and use that experience in a different way.
And that could honestly be like the new step for his career, that he becomes a supportive host rather than the main character.
I have a really random, but kind of interesting, inside football analysis piece.
Um, Mapu was obviously trying to hide the Maestro.
We've seen that a lot. He was hiding under the desk.
But he got on cameras while hiding.
Because, of course, when you're sitting there doing nothing, you may as well get on cameras, right?
I remember a tactical timeout taken by DZ at the Esports World Cup.
And Call Out said, keep an eye out. I think they're all playing against Wave.
And he said, keep an eye out for the signal indicators.
The indicators that they're hiding in operator and that indicator is that someone is on cams
Maybe he's like way too late in the round to be setting up your bar boy
Wait, I just keep that honestly
And then see how to find a second kill as well. This is this is definitely gonna be around when
It's a shame. Pro could have lived if he skipped the bar bar and just turned the corner, but he wanted to get the max value.
You gotta cut your losses sometimes. Even that evil eye was a little bit too much of a risk, I think.
It was a bit scary. It's again about choosing the order. You should do the square, Maestro-Kem first,
because the highest risk, and you're at the external of the building, then go back and finish by the bomb site.
Otherwise, you're gonna stop at the bomb site, throw it in the bomb site, and get back to the site itself.
If you're losing a hop time, Crit J finds a sharp shot,
cold, on midi, onto the window rappel,
Yal goes down, all of a sudden.
So he bagging this one for Shover,
but I gotta find ideally one more pick.
Yeah, the problem is, I think the lash out
might work here from Lycolus as well.
Still on the other side of this fight is very low
and Crit J has now found a second kill,
Lycolus escapes, whether that was intentional or not,
I'm unsure, but Pika decides to take the space.
Crit J finds a third one, are you kidding me?
J-Star, this was your chance!
And instead, it's his fed Critchey, one by one, it's a 4k, gunning for the ace now!
He goes exactly where Souffle is as well, and he's freaking creative path, he's hungry for it.
Sharple will give him the chance.
Come on guys, give him the opportunity.
BG man in lobby, just waiting for the chance.
Critchey has the perfect angle as well.
Using CCSG, tight angles, using that ACO again, 7 bullets.
He wants this so bad he is safe is to use single-handedly. Come on.
It's time for the ace. Goes for the Crouch Pig, Sufley, pre-fire in the angle. Yeah, the info.
Crit J has not died yet in this half.
They start took a tactical time out and then they got two free-pick pigs and now Crit J has just made them look like fools.
5 seconds, mind you, behind Krzty is called by Coloss and BG man to support him as well.
Oh! So face shots down Krzty, I don't know, it's for him.
There is time to make this work, BG man, smart move from him after he takes a bit of damage.
The go for the keeper barrier, like Coloss and BG now have to look to try and deny his
plan to play the retake, good angle he had taken by BG and he will indeed get the kill
with the ACS-12, that is a devastating loss for Daystar to lose the 5 vs 3 and now it's
a 5-0 lead for Sharper and I don't think Daystar are going to be able to come back from this.
It is devastating but again it kind of goes to the point that we mentioned on the desk
before and right?
The new level to Sharper, how every individual at any point can step up to a challenge.
How Napier goes down and peeps things, I'm going to be the hero, I'm going to bring a
especially even numbers, he then dies too, then his critters turn, shuts down every
single member that takes on the window or a pall on the meeting wall, shuts down
janitors, and then watches again the bombsite windows. It just goes to show
like how evil it can be. And it's the same story that you make about teams like
Weibo, where if Terza dies early and there's Reeps, and if Reeps and Terza
both die, then there was Api before for example, Hobbit like you take any pick
essentially, Shopper they have that new way of playing the game and normally
when they naped you or i9 would die, it would be like, ah this guy is going to be so challenging
for them.
Now it's like, oh they're fine, don't worry about it.
Yeah I mean Critchey, he's such a good player, I mean, peeps is outfragging him at the moment,
I actually don't know how old peeps is, but Critchey is 21 years old and he's been playing
this with this team for over three years, right?
Like he has been playing since he was 13 years old.
Sharpa, particularly Lycolas, can we have a really good eye for the upcoming new generation of power?
Because Lycolas already mentioned that he was having a look at KLZ, who had an unbelievable showing, so I think it was 15 and 5.
Both Peeps and Crit J, fragging out like crazy, they were picked up as young gunners as well.
Sharpa have really shown that they are willing to take a risk on an up-and-comer, and it pays off that.
And look, what it means now is that Crit J was picked up as the young gun.
And now he's still gunning he's only 21 years old, but he's become a bit of a veteran
He's got so much experience if Sharper can starts going back to international events like they could back in the day
Then they could really form into a very deadly roster with a lot of longevity
Because they have this new talent cycling in
I'm just gonna run the board door for these five and he's now a never for the half and
Even find that very strong isn't gonna give a whole lot of faith for the second
Yeah, I was still in front of an exit front many rounds ago, then the shield operator stopped finding much of his own.
So even the way forward, you got top log control, open area defense.
So once they get top force they have now, they can pop hatches, set down the flying drones.
There's NAV here, looking for a fight, using those dark cameras for information.
Every bit of damage that you get on that Black Date, even just to shut off the fate, is hugely valuable.
The Napier is constantly threatening his pressure to push up the main stairs.
Lots of guys run again. Azuki spots a bit of damage down both directions, but Napier wins the gunfight.
And another opening pick found by Sharpa.
Can anyone look to try and refrag? Not at the moment. Seal will finally go for it.
He's down the stairs. Another player there lying in wait for Sharpa.
Sharpa.
As the pressure starts to come in from Daystar, they collapse on this position, but it costs
them another body as Pig is going down.
And BG, from retaking inside of Archives, takes him down.
It's another pick for Crit J, who continues his dominance, seven kills for him.
Between him, BG, and Pigs, they are farming Daystar.
Like Hollis decides it's his turn to join the fray, it is utter domination.
There is nothing that Daystar can do about it.
has taken control of this game.
Don't check it, don't hang your head back
So no one can make it, make it with your, just be mine
And I'll be honest to that man
Let's stick together, love
And we will not see
Cruella Crochet
You'll be happy with me
So much as we love
There's nothing else to worry about
I
Sorry
Sad it's gonna be alright
I'm tired.
Six zero, like psych!
If you're a shopper, you're happy, you're dancing, you're jumping because six all,
baby, full control, good pace, and they are going to take this game very possibly, James.
Is it just me or a shopper?
Literally the goats.
They might be.
I mean, Wave would be their opponent.
So does that mean a shopper is better than Wave?
Think about it.
I don't know.
I think it might be, but they lost one and then they won the next one, I think of it
on my head.
So still a chance here that Baystar can...
Wait.
You hear a third voice in your ear as well James, this is me.
Is there a third voice?
I always hear voices.
Nope, nope, nope.
Yeah?
The voice is gone.
I always hear voices.
If you call out the voice, it shall disappear.
I wish I had a way that I could, actually I can, I can just talk to you, Penguin.
I
Bound in different audio sources and different actual machine. It's it's tough man. We're not good for that
We're not productive. I just plugged it in. I did like a little bit of testing
I was like, yeah, it looks so good and then
It was not all good bro
As I said games, did you really not do any prior testing right before testing?
And then I told them what I say you should rip a stream
Rip it one hour stream able it'll make chat fix all the issues
Yeah, but I oh my god. I hear double. Can you please fix your audio mr.
Streamer and then I can help you think out the issues because they'll be very picky about it. All right next time
That's what I'll do next time
I do have a very pretty little
Colorful interface now that I like it's got lots of colors. I just think this purple is as green as
It's blue, it's blue with a cyan as well, so yeah, that's what that is.
Reminds me of the Daystar lineup, look at their Operator colors, right?
They've got five unique ones, or Sharper has two yellow and two red.
Which is gonna be more Synergy and Sharper, or more Variety on Daystar?
Well, yeah, I mean, I think that if you look...
Oh, nice kill there, appreciate.
I can't believe you did say this line, well, I can't believe you should definitely be dead.
Sharper, I've gone for the traffic lights across the lineup.
You've got red yellow and green and at the moment looks like they want to take it easy
Go slow with the red light and a bit of a yellow light
He's there. He's going to the metal full speed ahead
He's got a double kill I can't believe they start falling apart
Quite like this. Azuki the 1v3 to try and prevent an utter devastation
Sharpa look to humiliate their opponents
We thought this was a battle for second, but the only place that Daystar are going is straight to the bottom.
Sharper looking for liftoff.
3v1. All they have to do is deliver the killing blow to Azuki.
It's gonna be a slow burn. They know that Azuki's got that adrenaline, so they bleed him out right.
They draw him in, they breach it, they check it. They're gonna make any risk here.
Straight into a spiderweb of places and servers though.
The drone denied.
Maybe if you blame the fuse, it actually doesn't have a shield either, so it's gonna be gunshot.
3v1, got these mega-fire, you're gonna stop turning down that floor.
Smoke is somewhat good, but there is still a lot of sight open from the red hallway.
The second fire comes out just to prevent the rotation, and he's burning in the flames!
Bart Dahl has managed to fall back just in time.
Razor Bloom's shell will delay, but not deny the plan.
Napew goes for it again, the second Razor Bloom goes out.
Napew will actually decide to stick it through the damage.
He's now limping away, has his BGM and Sharpa refining the post.
Azuki's found his third, 1v2 now, low HP on Napier.
As the limper effect has subsided, Azuki's still low and peeps from way on high.
Will take him down. It is a dominant 7-0.
The Sharpa Resports and a chance to red their all to the fullest extent.
Daystar knocked down a notch and Sharpa overtake them
and show that for now they seem to be the second best team in Asia.
It really does shape up an exciting story for Asia for the future playdays to come
because what is going to be happening? There's two spots on the line for the major in Osaka.
I mean, right now you're thinking Wave or you're thinking Schafer,
but anything can happen from playday to playday. But one thing's for sure,
there is certainly a high ceiling for this roster, okay?
Napier in particular, not having to be the stop player,
Thanks to all the operators, Creechie having this moment, Pips having this moment, every single player just comes into their own bank, and then normally it's very slow paced,
Sharper made it look very high on team kind of gameplay.
Yeah, very dominant game from Sharper, certainly didn't expect it, but yeah, sometimes it'd be like that, sometimes you see...
It'd be like that.
The boys, you know what I'm saying? They got that dog in them, you know?
They've got the dog in them. They've added the team tags. We've got the return of Napier as well. No more. I know none of that. He's back to his old ways. He's up to his cheaper business.
Peeps having an absolute tear of a game. Critchey, especially with that 4k looking phenomenal.
This team, I'm telling you right, they're going straight back to the international stage. I can't see it, but of course, let's hear it from like Carlos. We get to talk to him again.
Like, Carlos, man, what the hell was that?
I don't know about you, but like, I was gassing this up, man.
As soon as we started the broadcast, and I was like, guys, just you wait.
Daystar versus Sharpen, it's gonna be the best match of the day.
It's the number two and the number three team we don't know who's better.
And then you just go and destroy them. 7-0.
I wasn't expecting it.
Certainly, I don't think you were. Surely not.
Yeah, we're not expecting it.
explaining it as well. Well, I would say we expect some maps to be played today. It could be like
either like LH Bang or the other map that they didn't ban. And again, it's in my ban, which is
not the best. I would say we didn't play that dude or that dude in this map too. But we didn't expect
to be one sided either. I would say we really played really like perfect all the day for like
all the route except the except one route that um we say that that's our
phenomenal thing crushing crushing like do them back to be a
even match yeah but the other route I think it's uh we just
play like too perfect for today yeah
Talk to me a bit about i9 or Naphew who's now back with his old name
obviously in Soulsheart we often saw him playing like the Intree the Blackbeard
the Solid Snake and he had to get 10 kills for Soulsheart to have a good day
Now he's playing Castle, he's playing Maestro, he's sitting back on more shorter positions.
You guys have so much fracking power.
Are you guys changing the roles a little bit to fit Neipu in the roster, or how's that happen?
Uh, it's not exactly like changing a role.
We kind of like giving some, giving us space to Neipu for him to like decide which like first guy he would want.
Of course we have some like you know the baseline like what what we expect him to play like like
on their second floor the first first game he played um very solid but the second game he's like
needs to because like um he feels that um they already like focus much like a lot of attention
to him so he should like hide and play some more over the defensive something like that so we
You basically just give him the best like what we want from him and then if you want to add to something just tell us and just take it the way you like.
If you're a mid player.
Looking at the rest of your stage upcoming, my colis, in theory you could say that you've played two of your hardest games so far.
You've already beaten Elevate, now you've beaten Daystar.
Next up you got 999, then you got Dolphin, then you got Waybo.
then you've got leftovers and then your final game is against Fury.
I think a lot of people would look at that and say, obviously the Wave-O game is going to be hard,
but the rest of them are probably not so hard.
What does your practice look like coming into those games, particularly the Wave-O one, which is just 8 days away?
I would say we probably don't have any much at once.
thing you would expect because it's like, you know, like the same as every other team
that we just like use our time that we have to practice as much as we can. Like, I would
say we didn't be compared to like other team, we kind of have a really like low schedule
practice because like keep it still like study. So like per day, mostly we can't like to map
day that's all we can do so yeah so without without like two mapper days it's like literally like
hard to like get doing like you know most of the maps so i would say we probably like won't be
doing all the map but we we try to like not like ban the same map over and over again like you know
it still depends on the team versus yeah kind of thing yeah that is really interesting you guys
are performing this well and you're only practicing two maps a day, a much less loaded schedule than
a lot of other teams. Credit to you, you're doing amazing work. Lycolas, I'm sure we'll chat to you
tomorrow. You guys are playing 999. I hope to see you after that match and yeah, we'll talk to you then.
Okay, yeah, sure. I hope to crash into one.
I'm so sorry. Let's bring you back Lycolas.
Oh
Last week we cut you off again because we had so much to talk about I know you wanted to talk about your new organization
So I'd like to give you an extra moment. The floor is yours. You can shout out sharper
You can get the floor is the one that we won't cut
So tomorrow I see a gamer crush we will crush 999 and be here again or sharper
I'm really excited to be under the new new brand sharper sport. I
I'm very happy to be with them. I think that's pretty much it. Yeah. Bye. Bye
See you like
I
I feel bad because he I actually texted him after last week
And I was like so sorry we cut you off because we end up having so many questions that we don't really have the time to him
Dad just chit chat at the end, but oh
Looking back on the day, I think the biggest surprise is probably Sharper destroying Daystar, nothing else out of the ordinary.
Man, honestly, today was just... I don't know, surprising? Obviously the way Bo Dalton is supposed to...
That's like expected, I could probably theory elevate, in my mind, super close game.
9-9, that's the worst, it's gonna be a super close game because of tier 2 competition, right?
They used to have a shopper like you said super close game and match of the day. They were there, but the results didn't display it
Yeah, for sure. Now there was one player that really stepped up today
Of course a few from way below and sharper
But one that we really wanted to focus on was the young gun from leftovers the MVP of today
KLZ 18 years old
Born in 2008. I still can't believe
He's crazy. By the way, I'm not jealous of this guy. I'm just impressed.
Age jealous. He's insane.
And it was really cool to hear last week, like Hollis' comments that, you know,
he's the next big thing in Thailand.
I know we heard the similar comments today as well in our interview with leftovers.
So, yeah, it's crazy. Crazy to see.
He's performing this well in his debut and he's got his first win in tier one.
It really does feel just like a matter of time before he's on a team like Sharpa,
you know, gunning for spots at international events.
And and a very exciting point where he was told, he was OK.
I've gotten the full dream life, OK?
Tomorrow next playday, guess what?
Nor will be on quarantine and in tier one,
rainbow six seeds for APLs. Oh no! No way! Will it be gone? Will it stay? We're gonna find out very soon.
No! That's crazy. I can't wait to be casting Nore tomorrow in the height. Isn't that crazy?
We're gonna be continuing on from Asia tomorrow here with the groups as they
rattle down today at the end of it. Isn't it funny to see Weber having really lost
two rounds in their first two
matches. If anything, though,
a big surprise is Daystar all
the way down in seventh place,
only finding zero rounds today
against Sharper. They could still
have time to redeem themselves.
Remember that top four from the
group stage will make it through
to the playoffs and then we'll
play a little 14 double Elym
bracket top two from Asia will
go to major in Osaka. Of course,
still have five more play days
of Asia to go. We still have
APAC North and OCE, but we'll be back here tomorrow night for the Asia League that caps
us off for today. So make sure you're back for tomorrow to see the best teams in Asia
going head to head. Until then, have a good night.
I
