Let's fall in love tonight
In a red place at the red tide
Come fall in love tonight
You believe in magic, come from the inside
You believe in magic, come from the inside
You believe in magic, come from the inside
I
This train is bound for Shizuoka.
Hello, everyone!
This is the APR, Malik!
You suck a major tapoyaki crumb.
Hey, you excited?
I'm not gonna let you do that.
I'm not gonna let you do that.
I'm not gonna let you do that.
I'm not gonna let you do that.
Hey.
I'll see you later.
I'll see you later.
I'm in Osaka.
Go!
The journey is over.
The mountain we climbed and climbed...
It has now reached the place before us.
And our path goes on this way.
We return to APL this week for Asia play days six and seven the final week the final opportunities to book your place into stage finals presents joining me tonight is the wonderful James Dev Marta Stewart.
We've got ourselves a little crossover night tonight. James of course you finished off Oce yesterday. I think that's maybe the only Oce day you did was also the longest one with some interesting results but Oce now wrapped up.
We moved to Asia.
Yeah, yeah, it's funny after we finished OSS last night and we set the stage for stage finals
I was looking at thriving like oh, we're actually only just finished play day five
We still have two players to go which means that not a lot is actually locked here in Asia
Which means we may actually qualify some teams through to stage finals tonight
I mean, what happens for the results?
Yeah, we had a highlight yesterday
I want you to talk us through it because I wasn't on the broadcast for OSS
the first time I've ever
played a game. I don't know
if you've ever played a game
before, but there was a late
replacement. It was a big play.
I mean, well, the big story for
this game was Manila for were
trying to lock playoffs. And if
they had won this in regulation,
they would have done so. But
shy Academy who were playing
was shot as a their coach
substituting in. He had a life
game. He went insane and he
managed a 1v1 clutch on that
retake of the basement, which
was. Just Nali. It was a great
I'm pretty sure that is the the most eight sevens in Rainbow six history in a single
Wow of group stage
It certainly felt it for me me and Nick hadn't had a lot of sleep because we've done it you the night before it was a fever dream
I could play fever
Well, I'll see what tonight brings for us here for Asia
So looking at a recap the standings timeline the where we started to where we are five players through two to go
No surprise, certainly with
Weibo back on top as they were able to respond on
play days four and five last week wins over F5 and
Sharpa that solidifies their place in finals to no
one's surprise. In terms of though, the remaining
slots in Asia is looking likely that Sharpa
Resports should be able to join them their final
two games against F5. Yuri, they'll be the
they're looking pretty safe.
Now the question turns to the next four teams.
Unfortunately, triple nine Dolphina out,
but when it comes to F5, Daystar, Fury and Alive,
this week is crucial. You need the wins.
That's exactly right.
I mean, like you said, Sharper basically locked it.
In fact, they can lock themselves in today.
Daystar have an almost impossible task of catching them,
which is funny to think because Daystar,
I think that's the biggest story for the stage so far.
This team that has been to two events to represent the region
the region in the year and in terms of going to both the Sixth of a Tafel and Salt Lake City major
and we're looking so good in stage one have fallen off a cliff and if they are to make playoffs
they're really going to have to hope that Elevate and Fury don't keep up the momentum that they've
built because at the moment it is looking like Elevate and Fury both who haven't made stage
finals this year will actually manage to sneak on in. Let's go to today's schedule. So some intriguing
matches and not maybe the best of news if you're a fan of those teams that are going to be battling
it out to try and get into the top four because for F5 half ask you're going to play sharper first
up in what is literally must win they can't lose any more points in fact there's a fair chance
they might actually have to win both today in regulation and then tomorrow in regulation playing
elevate as well tomorrow fury versus triple nine well based on the stage of asia shot so far
you would imagine you should be able to get the job done there. They won both their games last week
to put them in this position, beating Daystar in F5 pretty comfortably. So they'll be pretty
comfortable favourites. Triple 9, Waybo versus Elevate. I mean, Waybo will be the favourites,
but Elevate have shown they've got a good stage so far up to this point, and Daystar
will get given a lifeline against Dolphin, who struggled last week. Certainly no more than in
that game against Elevate 7-1 when they were playing a four man Elevate the whole game.
Let's go to our first matchup of the day though, Sharpa Esports taking on F5 and James we cut, well me and does have an Asia last week and F5 were the probably the biggest talking point across the week.
They went 5-1 up against Weibo on Lair. I almost lost my hair. They looked great. And from that point, and they looked like maybe they could make top four from that point though.
They only got, well, they got no more rounds in that game,
six straight in the second half to Waybo,
and then against Fury, a 3-3 half,
but couldn't defend on Clubhouse,
that cost them that game.
Now they find themselves again in a tricky position
where with the schedule they've got remaining,
sharper elevate, they may now miss on top four
when they've looked really good.
Yeah, and it's important to remember where these team,
this team has come from.
Of course, we don't usually qualify new team into the league
between stages, right?
But we had two teams to spend in Asia and that gave us the opportunity to get those tier two teams in so
F5 when they were known as left overs actually won the bootcamp community series and
Yeah, they were all gliss up until last week as you said
This is my first time seeing them with the F5 banner above them
They started actually really strong
They pushed a star pretty deep and then they beat 9 9 9 which is the other team that came up through tier 2 and then next game
They actually beat Dolphin so their first win over an established tier one team
However, it is Dolphin who were winless all year and still are winless all year and finally enough F5 actually gave him their first point
So I think my expectations for F5 have gone up and down because as you say it kind of peaked when they were up in such an
Advantageous lead over Waybo. I think last week's disappointing loss to Fury may well haunt F5
For the rest of their stage though
It really has set the bar high and they're gonna now have to perform well against seems like sharper and elevate which arguably are even harder
a lot of, I mean, harder opponents than Fury. So definitely the stage is set for a tough
ride for the rest of the stage if they are to make it to finals.
They do control their destiny, James. Like that's at least the saving grace for this
team. If you beat Sharpa tonight and provided under the provision, a way to be elevate,
which is clearly not far fetched, then they play elevate tomorrow, win and you're in.
So I mean, that's at least something that they can fall back on. Let's go to Sharpa,
Resports, our second team in this match and don't need much tonight to lock in finals.
I think you actually said James maybe only three rounds across their next two matches. So look, they're gonna be playing in finals
There's no doubt about it. And I think at this point right now today
They are the favorites to be the second team from this region to go to the Osaka Major
Yeah, look a lot of people were wondering even if Sharper could contest with Wabo and while we did see that match a few days ago
It was close. It was a 12 rounder
which is pretty damn close, fun enough.
Both the teams are now first match today.
The two teams in this stage have pushed Weibo to 12 rounds,
but not managing to take down Weibo,
not managing to push them to an overtime.
I think that really just shows
how strong Weibo are individually,
but definitely don't want to take any credit away from Sharp.
But of course, the big storyline for them
coming into this stage is that they were an established
tie team for a very long time.
They actually came second,
just jumping over Daystar in stage one,
which is the first time in what feels like forever
that this roster has been able to achieve that.
Of course, they represented the Fury roster
for a very long time.
And the other big story is I9 coming back
to rejoin, reunite with Crit J and Lycolus
since the Fury days when he left them for Sol's heart
with his old team disbanding.
He's looking really solid with Sharpa.
I think that the team has really proven
that they've got an eye for young talent.
Peeps has really come into his own.
You've got that foundation of the OG Trio
and Lycolus, BG Man and Crit J,
that half OG guy. I know it's
created very dangerous roster
that is absolutely the favorite
to take number two in Asia.
I've got to the vetoes for this
best of one again sharper on the
verge of finals and we played
there quite a bit last week if
we're F5 Esports and it almost
kind of got towards the again
sharper, electing to not go to
layer F5. We'll get back to
clubhouse though. So they actually
did play fury on this map to close
out player day five so they're going to run it back against Sharper eSports which if I'm
going to be completely honest early days from Sharper on defense I think that they win this
map quite comfortably because f5 really struggled on their own defensive half and while they
weren't bad on the attack James f5 I think Sharper is clearly going to be one step above
here and let's see how it plays out though Sharper only needing a few rounds and they
will be into finals for f5 eSports it's as clear as day they need the three points from
this game, two won't cut it, one certainly won't cut it, and they will find themselves eliminated
if they get nothing. Yeah, that's a real tough spot to be in the F5. Really, this game means so much
more to them than it does to Sharper. Of course, it would be a real rough one for Sharper to lose
this game, but even if Sharper gets zero points over the next two matches against F5 in theory,
they probably will still make it to the stage finals. The only way they don't is if they start
Essentially, Daystar have to just lose three rounds and sharper in and that's not even like that's across the next two games. If if
if Sharpa win three rounds or
The competitors in Daystar lose three rounds than sharper through anyway
So really the stakes of the match in terms of the result don't matter a lot for them
But for F5 in the opposite it means absolutely everything they have so much riding on this
Of course their spot in playoffs is looking very perilous at the moment, but for their debut stage
I think that while making playoffs is a nice to have really the most important thing is putting in a good performance
And that's not really so much about you know, where did we finish exactly on the standings?
How many points did we get did we beat sharp or did we lose them?
It's about how close did we push them?
And I think that's why the the 5-7 loss to Weibo means so much more than getting say a
a 7-3 win over 9-9, or an 8-7 win over Dolphin. It's all about showing that F5 are a team
that can compete here in Asia, and I think they've already proven that, and if they can
give Sharper a run for their money, maybe push this to 12 rounds, I think that that further
establishes them in that conversation for future events within this year.
Yeah, I mean, if they can win this game, it doesn't matter the score line. Let's just
say hypothetically anywhere from 7-4 to 7-5, it would be an upset, but it would also then
Establish F5 as a potential top 14 just based on the win alone
They would go to eight points you then beat elevate tomorrow again under the assumption wave of beat elevate tonight
You'd knock elevate at a top four. I mean that then very much proves you deserve to be there
The bands Kaid, Goyo along with the Ying and the Ace no real standout bands there as we head into the first half a reminder that
On plate a five fury to get three sorry five to get three attacking rounds against fury on
on clubhouse. So they did show some really good proactiveness and one thing that I was very notable about this team last week
was if they got that first pick they would follow it up. They're not the kind of team that will reset.
Get that first kill and then look for the reset. They will just kind of snowball that advantage
and they will hit site pretty quickly if it opens the potential pathway for them based on the first kill or two.
So they're not going to be this kind of slow methodical team. They're quite adaptive based on what happens in the round.
Another big story for today, Jake, is that in one of our early interviews with Lycolas
this stage, I asked him about picking up I9 or Napew as he's called in game here.
And Lycolas said it was actually fun enough, a hard decision, of course we all love Napew,
but we were going to pick up KLZ.
He is the young rising star in Thailand, he actually turned 18 just a day before the
qualifiers for tier 2 that his team 5 competed back when they were leftovers in July.
And so he really is like the youngest newest most hopeful talent for the Thai region.
Since Chips.
He never wanted to pick him up, just like they did with Heaps and Richey with melee young
up-and-comers.
So this is now not just F5's chance, but Kaozi's chance to show really what he has to perform
against a team that maybe one day he could be the team.
It might not even take that long.
I mean, Naphew might be that stopgap of he's got a lot of experience walking him part on
and ask and speak of the devil and he shall appear as Kalezi with the first kill in this
game until I call us and we'll see if they do follow up on this. They get rid of the
clash, minute left into the round, provides a little bit of an opportunity through Dekuzy
and they've already got some pressure on the other side of the map. This is a good start
for F5. Kalezi by the way, top 13 in the league this stage, leads as the best player for F5.
So he's already showcasing that when Napier steps aside, he's going to slot straight into
that roster you would imagine.
I mean, of course, a lot of the players on Sharper are competing for something at the
time.
They wouldn't be surprised if one day you see Blackholus made two or BG man hang up
from ice and keyboard and Kailze would definitely be next in line.
Edward on for an entry now.
It's made through hiding inside a cash primer compete as two players pushing to the Z docks
to confirm that.
Killed Peeps, dashes back into it for Sharper.
They desperately need someone on this defensive side to lash out.
BG man decides it's getting a little bit too hot on his run and he falls back as
Kritsche gets shotgunned in the face by KLZ. Before you know it, F5 are looking
hot inside the site. Yeah fall back allow peeps to get contact from Jim,
BG man then swings from shower, there's only three seconds left, time running low.
Peeps is gonna win this on the time. Really well played. They win that round
based on BG man knowing full well that if he stays in the middle of bedroom and
tries to take that fight towards Stashed and Lodgy.
Not only will he probably die,
because he's got the players pushing from Conte.
So what does he do?
He falls back over to bathroom, tucks in.
Peeps hasn't made contact from Jim.
And because of the time left in the round,
you have to then obviously walk into the site.
Peeps is ready for it, watching the doorway gets the kill.
They have to then start sprinting
towards these last defenders.
There's like three seconds on the clock.
Just really good showcase that sometimes
it's not all about taking the gunfights
and beating your opponent.
Positioning matters a lot in this game
Yeah massive credit to peeps they really saved that round
He's been the second highest rated player in the entire of Asia about critch a above BG man even above players like reaps
He only sits behind turdster. He's got a 2.04 KD 1.12 K kills per round
Which is actually even higher than turds. So he's got the highest KPR in the entire
region. He's definitely been a huge pick up for Sharper and another example of
an up-and-coming tie player that Sharper spotted on a lower level team he played
for Team Kiri in a rival 7 prior and he's really slotted in to this roster
very well. It's another strong frag that this Sharper team has. I mean you look at
the top 10 players in the region in terms of the fewer stats alone and you
you'd think it would be pretty much Weber players 1 to 5. They only have 2 players in
the top 10 and only 1 in the top 5 which is Terzter at the top. Then it's Peeps, Critch
A and Beachy Man, all sharper players and then Seal from Daystar and then Reeps from
Weber. Then funnily enough you've got 4 out of the 5 players from Elevate to round out
the top 10. What it goes to show just how deadly a lot of these Thai players are, especially
the ones that keep getting cannibalized by a Sharpa.
Oh, Kailzee again.
I mean, I don't know what Napier is doing there though.
That's a horrible top floor hold.
He has no support watching one direction when you can easily get pushed in from behind.
Kailzee is thinking that's the freest kill I'm going to get online.
And it's just...
And a lot of bravery as well for Kailzee there by the way, because he is playing the Solid
Snake, but the intention from Napier is to counter Solid Snake with the Mute.
So he had a lot of those new jammers on the top floor.
KLZ might have realized they were new jammers active and it could have been someone standing in those new jammers.
Yeah, but he did have Edward as well. So I mean like it's a 2v1 regardless.
And NAPU hasn't got any help and he's just looking towards main stairs.
I mean it's just a really strange hold.
Yeah, it could have been a lot better from NAPU for sure, but I just want to give KLZ a little bit of credit.
I mean it takes a lot of guts to, you know, not necessarily be able to rely on a solid snake sensor knowing the new jammers are there.
Now it does settle into a good roam click at 5 very quick.
I mean, they're playing really good in textbook clubhouse,
which is really impressive for a team that's been sitting in tier 2.
Their defense on play day 5 was not textbook clubhouse though,
and that got fury back into the game.
So, I mean, this is all well and good.
They've been competitive again on the attack.
What's their defense going to look like?
Can they actually get these attacking rounds?
Didn't close out the opening round.
And again, with the advantage here, minute left,
you don't win this round.
It's like, well, yeah, you've been playing well,
you haven't got the wins and that would almost be a textbook story on this whole stage really.
Yeah, but I do like the steps that they've taken here, particularly with the Hibana
to destroy the bottom parts of the wall. Kailze is going to have to go deep,
but he's been spotted by the clash, so now Sharpa are aware that Kailze is deep in the
site and that could speech the space to last shot out and here F5 looked to get desperate.
Nice shot from Edward. Still equal numbers. The time remains enough here for FIV sports.
If we can get this next kill, it's going to be really important for them.
Jittery spotted towards Modo, pushing into church with a KPMG man with a walkaway headshot onto Edward.
That's filthy. Yannis a little late on the pot main stairs, rotate, clash up.
This is going to be very difficult for F5 to convert to. So Jittery falls.
Two nothing to sharper. But that's not the whole story. The scoreboard doesn't always give you
the full picture. Yeah, I was
going to say something very
similar, Jake. I want to give
some credit to F5 here. Really
good roam clear and they did a
lot of the right steps when it
came to picking apart that
bombsite. Really liked the
Hibana as I mentioned. However,
Sharpa are a really good team.
I think they realized how
powerful that bottom main
stairs position was going to be
because of that Hibana. And so
they decided to gas out the
player at bottom main stairs.
F5, I think he used to playing
against the lower echelon of
team that won't expect this type of aggression from them because as soon as
KLZ was getting gassed his instinct was to push for kills and Sharpa are a
little bit more aware of that type of playstyle, a little bit more ready for it.
The other half of it is KLZ obviously he was in a terrible position probably
gonna die even if he did fall back but instead of cutting their losses F5 felt
pented to double down, triple down which can in many situations be the right
call but I just think that it ended up not working for them because Sharpa
are a team that's not going to get caught off guard by a place like that and this is just the
perfect example of F5 just need to keep on practicing and keep increasing their scrim quality,
right? They have shown a really high quality in this stage so far in Asia League and that's going
to get them to book better scrims. I think they should be scrimming the best teams in all of APAC,
even scrim teams like Enterprise if you get the chance, even if there is a bit of pink to OCE,
Scrim your CAGs, your deep losses, the top teams from APEC North, in addition to these Asian teams,
and that will set F5 up in the best way possible to refine the decision-making in moments like that.
Well, two rounds in, and only BGMM and Peebs with kills. They've gotten nine of the nine kills for Sharpa.
Nothing yet from Lycola, Skritj or Naphew, so BGMM and Peebs both standing up defensively in the first two rounds.
The F5, I mean, you've gotten both of the opening kills from KLZ.
You've done a lot right, but you're not getting the reward for effort.
And that's going to be very demoralizing if you don't win this third round
and you find yourself 3-0 down on the first rotate.
When you know, likely in the second half, defending is going to be difficult
based on what we saw last week.
So they need to start getting the points on the board.
Don't forget, they need to win this game.
It's all well and good to talk about the Cinderella story
and where this team has come from.
It's about where they want to go.
Tier 2 is in the past now. Clearly they've shown that they belong at least at this level. What we've seen from them up to this point.
But like many teams, you're not just gonna go straight from Tier 2 to finals immediately.
It might take a stage or two to get there. And we've seen good signs,
but now it's time for results.
Yeah, you're right.
It would be such as an appointment to have a lot of close rounds,
but not a lot of round wins here against Sharpton. That's what we've seen so far in the first two.
Crit J is so patient waiting for his chance to flank. Edward is going to get caught off guard.
The audio cue is going to help out. Crit J confirmed that one and now the vertical push.
Rimae F5 is 2-less. Zedas will go chasing for that kill but at this point F5 have bigger things
to worry about than a loitering Crit J downstairs. I think if F5 are to win this round they have to
challenge lounge together as a team clearly a lot of emphasis here from
Sharpa with the double nitrous cell you got the maestro they really want to make
sure that they keep this lounge control in this round available how did he or
Z not die? Did Kritchie run out of ammo? It's like he stopped shooting. I think he
sprayed his entire mag. Maybe he didn't reload the SMG. I don't think
that was a full mag and then he's just surprised himself.
It's a huge mistake.
Spiral into the round way.
Oh my word.
This is rough.
Well hang on, peeps is peeps.
This kid is sensational talent in the region.
Second rated player.
Oh he does a lot of cross under Titerite.
Well that was his one win kind of you had to go back kill.
Well F5 take the round.
A funny little moment towards Lounge which really did change the landscape with this match.
KLZ dies.
You imagine from the perspective of BG man,
And he could have then continued forward to put pressure on those trying to push up into rafters with that garage control
That's not as easily doable than from jittery's position to get that double kill if you still got
Someone from sharper in lounge. So that changed the entire course of the round
I think f5 lose that if kLZ dies, but he doesn't turns around good reaction
Punish is a simple mistake
F5 is on the board
Yeah, for sure. Credit to the way that F5 decided to take that round. Rafters clear, it's always very challenging to require a lot of coordination.
This is where you really see the cracks in weaker teams. I didn't manage to see. So, Khrtche down to 7 bullets in the previous fight.
Maybe he didn't reload after he got down to 7 there. I don't know. I have to slow down the replay and go back to see the details of why he lost that.
lost that, but a little moment like that can certainly spiral into a round loss, but the
other thing I want to give some credit to F5 about is just the way they went for that
rafters take, they knew exactly how powerful the Capitao would be, and it's one thing to
have the operator, it's another thing to use it well. Now, I noticed Judary was actually
the one to get a 3k in that round, he was the breach player. You got three of those
kills from the breach, and that's not because...it's even getting caught having to chat,
I'll tell you why you ripped from that savage from Chelsea.
But yes, the big thing there for F5 in that round
was the way that they cleared rafters, the way that
Jittery utilized the position from outside the breach
to make sure that that happened when the Capitale arrows came
through, when pushing a garage happened.
So big credit to them.
They've got a round on the board.
You said that they got three on this map against Fury,
and they did still lose that game, so I would be hopeful that F5 can find 3 here against Sharpa as well.
Oh, Gannis caught.
The ward's stocked.
Nice kill from like, Kola's playing the vert.
Sharpa will get themselves back-to-back opening kills, but so far,
None of the opening kills have converted into a round win in this match.
It doesn't have the biggest of weight when typically it sits at around a 75% I think globally.
LZ on the hunt has shown his prowess early on against maybe some potential future teammates.
I think he's yet to find a kill.
And this is time for Sharper to think about falling back to gym bedroom.
minute 40 on the clock you've got that opening kill don't need to contest them
towards cash anymore and they do opt to get back to the site
he single handedly won the round for sharper last time they defended Jim
bedroom window kill on the balcony
Oh, they got on the second one.
I swing now, okay, but I mean, pre-fire will work.
And he did at least someone else to be watching this hallway.
He actually saw the player in office, which was Napier.
He started shooting him as BGman swallows him.
He looked a bit unlucky for BG.
Also a bit of F2, Giff, there, different losses.
Same, Ed, though.
I wouldn't mind Edward going out balcony and looking for a gym plant.
the way that KLZ's positioned.
It might not matter now if that kill on the peeps.
Just this push through the con doorway can be very difficult
and yes, KLZ's got a good line of sight.
I think Edward towards Jim would be the better play.
Especially with that strategy.
Oh no, ZDocs actually gets down from the trap.
And Edward caught then trying to get into Jim window
because KLZ pushed off.
See, that's where KLZ probably had to almost go in first.
first, clear it, allow the space then for Edward to play behind. Should have then maybe had
Zedux on this bedroom window, but he gets caught by the razor blow and trying to push
through the doorway. That's the kind of round there. In the fullness of time, it's easy to
look back on and think, well, we could have done this, this and that. That's where you
learn the most from those sort of rounds. Sharper don't have to do much because you're
not testing them because you're too worried about, well, where do we want to plant? How
do we want to plant? It's a 3v3. So they've just got to get better at communicating the end game
and the plant condition and then executing. And that's where they lose that round.
Even minor things like Zeduck's dying to a Thorn Trap when he's the Twitch. That would have
definitely been one of his priorities is to try and clear out those Thorn Traps. But I think it
was thrown out actually very late in the round. I think Lycolas actually got that kill through
the hatch from down below. He was down below, he managed to sprint back to the main stairs
immediately after. It just goes to show that Sharper have really good positioning and they
know the wind conditions of around very well. They know that Lacholos can trust his teammates to
cover the door into sight and especially with that late spawn trap being thrown out, that he can then
and then a forward to go and probably
I'm getting a very favorable angle.
You're right.
For F5, Olympic disjointed, I do like the call from Edward
to go for the rotate, but unfortunately,
it's just a lot of things you have to worry about.
As you jump in that, you know, you've got to worry
about the angle and the rotate immediately to your right.
You've got to worry about the angles deeper
from logistic and stash, and you've got to worry
about the angles from main stairs.
You've got to worry about someone jumping out
and peeking from bathroom, and you have to worry
about the hatch, which is just far too many.
Which is why you see teams usually get jacuzzi control and gym control as like one of the big win cons in gym bedroom
Absolutely. Yeah, they do do that before it's yeah
It can be hard to do
That's too quick so any kind of just metrics jacuzzi was teaching
I do feel like that their playstyle has changed a little bit to the fury game
Now I don't know if that's maybe more respect for Sharper as an opponent and the expectation that they're gonna be really switched on but
Yeah, they're not
They actually look like they're trying to play more quintessential siege
at the top level and trying to do things properly, whereas last time, last week against Fury,
their attacking half was a little bit more eccentric and fast, and they would play off those
first kills, they would flood, they would just hit the site, they didn't care about the time on the clock,
but this play today does seem as if it's a bit more calculated, whether that works or not,
it's irrelevant, but in the long run it's good to be playing more of this kind of Brandon Siege and
getting better at it.
You jam me here from CryptJ, he shows exact what I was talking about in the first round.
He's not going to be detected by the solid snake, but of course, F5's one road, there's a new jam there and he'll have an idea and it's also going to enable him to kill a real critter.
Why are you by yourself? Why are you by yourself? So he has to throw that nade, they need just one more player there because as soon as he throws that nade, audio cue, easy swing.
swing because what else is what what else is he gonna do can't stand there he's gonna move
oh no another chance to get a kill off an audio and yeah yamas got a bit of damage there on an
a few but the kill is found crit jay still at large on the top floor takes z dot so he doesn't
even need to peek now he does get traded 3v3 on the bomb side if f a are able to focus up now
Now if they're still upstairs.
40 seconds, we're just going to drop kitchen hatch.
I mean they do have at least Edward on the Monty.
Chitterer is going to have to push forward with Kit and even next kill they do get at this door.
And another.
A double from Edward.
Two players very low for F5 as like Hollis gets the freebie.
And even if this does enter a post-plant with an Archesal up, Critchey retaking from kitsch and he'll drop in behind.
Now they've got a little bit of a pinch pressure.
I don't know how Edward can protect Jittery, but Jittery apparently didn't need the protection.
Now to 2v1 with the Monty at the doorway.
My colors will know that Jittery is low on health, but F5 now will steal basement.
Wow.
That was probably the worst first half of the round that we've seen from F5,
and they actually get the round win in comparison James to probably rounds one and two where their
first half of the round was great but they couldn't close it out so well they've done it in in
different ways this half but they do get two attacking rounds and this is game on.
Yeah that was basically a 2v5 as well because as soon as they dropped into site Zeduck picked a
really bad spot to sit here next to the footholds and just immediately died. Jerry managed to get
get the plant down and cover for all of the kills thanks to Edward's help. So that was
a huge round from Jittery who by the way has been the rock for F5. Six kills actually overtaking
KLZ after two big 3K rounds. Really impressed by F5. A couple of little mistakes there from
Sharper. Just the timing on that retake. Also notice that they didn't have a rotate into
blue for the charge which meant that they didn't have any options for denying that plant
flanking it together. Just a few strange ones from Sharpa. Interesting to see that they are
insistent on this roam despite not banning that solid snake, going at it there. They keep
running this mute roam. Now the solid snake isn't taken here. The F5 have plenty of other options
for how they want to attack this. Now those new gems will also protect against the Dr. B.
Force. Just like the old days, you can use that new gem to cleanse yourself from the Dr. B.
be cool instead of having to stand it at the start.
I think the change is great and all you've done is drop the Fenriria for the North which
look Fenriria is great with the F-Knot mines but you're bringing barbed wire anyway which
is pretty similar in terms of what the goal really is to get information and make it harder
to push somewhere. Add in the Horus Launcher which can be used in many different ways but
most importantly in this round onto a Blitz. As long as they play around it nicely I think
the nor addition will be better for sharper in the late portion of the round.
I think sharper pretty clear on though that what they've done,
they've actually showed presence above and maybe tried to bait F five into a dirt rush,
but that's not going to happen.
Well, F five previously with Edward on the Monty in the last round,
took dirt for free at the start of the round,
and that's one of the benefits of banning that Goyo.
Typically you'll have three Goyo charges spaced out in dirt.
Well, they showed against Fury last week as well when Fury tried to play a roam game on basement and they just left the site completely open.
The F5 just went straight to site through turret and just said, thank you very much.
So I think this is the client of ground, final round of the half of the Sharpa, where they showed a little bit above and thought, okay, maybe they might go for the rush.
But they didn't. And so this has now stalled this round out. And considering the lineup that Sharpa actually have brought, you know, they're not playing a proper roam game.
They've got the operators here for the stall out and that's going to be the concern you try and bring the splits into dirt against the
The horror forms you hear on the north
It was perfect. Yeah, he didn't know he didn't know what to do
Yeah, that's a great play there from Nape you oh
This happened yesterday
In one of the other broadcasts I did
I don't think it will matter from Elevate last week.
Oh my god, hopefully not.
To your on the other side.
Hopefully not.
Sharpa, if they are able to win this 4-2 at the end of the half,
then it must change the proposition a bit here for F5.
Yeah.
I mean, look, it's their two best players.
It's Kowzi and Jittery, 35 seconds, but double night for Sol.
The Horace launch is still pretty good at also delaying this movement.
Like, he could use this at the doorway here to push into church.
won't need to. Like Hollis finds that kill onto Jittery. KLZ is very much stuck inside of Moto,
and yeah, this is going to be a 4-2 half for Sharpen. Hacking is better. F5 is last week,
their defense got picked apart by Fury. We'll see if they've learnt from that week. They will have
had to have learnt. They will have had to have done their job through the VOD reviews as they're
now prepared for a huge second half. 4-2 split. F5 need to try and win this in regulation. They're
and they got a long way to go.
I'm going to go ahead and see if the F5 are the real deal.
They've shown glimpses and if this were the kind of team, James, that we knew they had
like three-year-long contracts and it was going to be the same core five, I'd say next
year this team's going to look great.
Bit more time, you know, the off-season, bot reviews, the improvements, etc.
The problem with eSports and certainly within these regions is I wouldn't be surprised if
roster's completely changed by the time we returned to kick off stage one whatever it is next year so
it's hard to sort of go with that sort of approach but they've been really solid so far here in stage
two their journey from tier two to where they've gotten to but if they want to make top four
you're probably going to need to win this one in regulation i was having another look back at
the standing so if this were to be an ot win they go to seven points they play of course tomorrow
against Alivate. Alivate play Waybo. Problem is more so than around the round differential
as well. So they would need Alivate to get smashed tonight. Like really beaten up. You
know like a 7-1 or a 7-0 or something like that.
I thought I could also jump over Fury. Like it's possible that F5 make it 3 because...
Well I mean no, Fury they got triple 9. They should beat triple 9 tonight.
What if they don't?
Well if they don't...
So technically, Fury currently on 9 points, F5 around 5 points.
If F5 don't get the full 3 points, let's say worst case scenario, they only get 1 point
out of this game, they go to OT but don't win it, then that puts them on 6, 3 behind
Fury and then they have to hope and pray that Fury can come out of their next 2 games and
F5 win their final game.
Look, Fury do play Sharper tomorrow and Sharper will be favourite, but as long as they get
the job done against the Tricks and Mines.
It's statistically possible that F5 can still make playoffs
with just an OT win.
However, a loss in regulation right now is just no end.
Like it's not enough.
It's statistically impossible to make playoffs.
So that's the bare minimum right now,
is get four more rounds on this defensive high,
which is possible.
But as you said, the other day when F5 played Fury,
their defense actually looked worse than their defense.
It did, yeah.
They like to play a lot of that roam game but really play it and so you can already get a glimpse of it here in this first round
James so basement they'll bring the snow polish. They've got two on the top floor. They do leave themselves a bit isolated
Both above and below they don't it didn't quite to be in sync in terms of the rotate positions like secret main stairs
So like Janus plays by himself KLZ is technically also by himself towards bedroom
Again, it's that risk versus reward. It can work, but against Fury it just didn't really ever work
They also played extensive roam on the other side, too, not just basement
Big pig
He's not exactly sure where Jerry died
He's in turn. It was just BG-man behind the shield
He's usually the rock for this team that sits all the way back
I think it was probably a little bit too ambitious with the ACOG and the TCSG and now that means
F5 actually don't have someone here to delay time for like holis as I mentioned it's usually
the Goya that you used to do that popping those Vulcan canisters and falling on back
and now like holis will be able to take this control pretty quickly as one Goya has been
popped he should be able to get in position just now that that's burned out.
working kitchen, stock as well, napute clearing, second floor. So it's not just like all the
Sydney dirt through nothing, there's the napute clear on the second floor against Yanis, so that's
another one, 5v3, 60 seconds, the Vopa attaches. This is going to be very difficult for F5 to
salvage with the Blackbeard pushing dirt, getting so much information back of Arsenal,
with then the rest of Sharpa conventionally playing this quite normally. I'd be very surprised if F5
can win this round. Maybe their best hope is KLZ on the push up and shot straight through the wall.
There is one in kitchen that didn't even hear this by the way because he's still on drone.
He has no idea. This is still very winnable. BG does get the read last second but immediately
is taken down. Now the hope here for Sharper is fighting the bombsite KLZ as his flank but he's
the only one here. What a shot onto Nape you. 1v3 now for KLZ.
A little pivot from like Hollis on the plant position just to a spot he knows that KLZ won't
be capable of stopping. Plank goes down 3v1, he does have a nitrocell but he's so low on health
and they will know that he's going to be pushing down either main stairs or a kitchen drawing.
Heaps is watching main stairs, job done and an early attacking round for Sharpa Esports again
highlighting some of the deficiencies for F5 defensively on this map. They opt to play a
roam game but it's not a full roam game, it's just a two-three split and Jittery goes searching
inside of dirt. He dies completely outnumbered, just wanted to get info and then they lose the
players on the roam top floor. It's just a mess. So there's no cohesiveness on their defensive
game plan. They're not putting all their eggs in one basket but they've got like 20 different eggs
just laying around like it's bloody Easter. They're all over the place.
Wrong half of the year for that, Jake. I think part of the problem there is Yannis.
Pushing early, he was very well read. Sharpa didn't even have to hunt the Scopus roaming,
which is your entire purpose as a Scopus, right? You want to be pushed and then if they try and
ignore you, you can get back to site and assist your teammates. That's the reason you play the
Scopus, which by the way, he's picked again here in the second round of defense. Instead, Sharpa
They have one player sitting upstairs, just hard holding a rotate with a gun, and wait
enough, Yanis walks straight into it.
That's a bit of a critical mistake there for him.
He's 1 and 5 at the moment.
He's locking in the Skopos for a second round, and the problem with an operator like Skopos
is you just have to have.
Well Skopos here is actually quite interesting because of the position inside a shower.
And if that wall goes opened up, you can actually get really good information as to what's happening with Jacuzzi.
And then the Skopos goes and plays rafters. If you can find a kill early on, yeah, maybe you're just transferring back to the side. That's fine. I don't know. Wow, okay.
To be fair, 30 seconds into the round and maybe he's already back outside Chin Vettron, you're not expecting that.
Traditionally, that's an aggressive play from Sharpa. And KOZ there isn't totally in the wrong.
You should feel comfortable moving around the site 20 seconds into the round and not feel completely under threat
So that's not entirely on KLZ. That's just a really good opening kill for sharp
But to just be very quick with what they want to do
Janice does indeed also get one from garage and immediately transfers
And he has to too because KLZ died if KLZ didn't die it was 5v4 f5
I think he would have just stayed here even longer and then transfers back
Yeah, he's tempted, of course, can get back quickly, but he wants to find his point.
It's nice and safe.
I think that's a nade going back, actually.
I thought it was the Skatebush, shall I?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Oh, wait, what?
The irony is, he rotates back and then immediately gets pushed by Lycolus.
That couldn't have happened better for Sharper, the Edward now active in the bomb site, and
Edox will go down thanks to Lycolus, he don't back out.
He's sending one in.
I think he's rotating over.
Yeah, a little bit late here from Naphew and BG, man.
Like, Hollis's very lucky he's playing the Blackbeard right now,
but he does need to kind of give up some of this space
that he did actually get from the team,
because Edward, Jitter, if they push forward,
they can actually deal with this Blackbeard.
So he's going back outside Jacuzzi,
a reset moment for Sharpbark.
Naphew a little bit late, Peaks main stairs,
but they'd already then fallen back.
He needs to hold main stairs,
Wait then for like Hollis to push back through then push with him
But he just peaked a little too soon and it's like Hollis now falls. This should be a round win for f5
I'll beat him in the tight angle
Knows that Edwards inside a shower and he gets the double kill to solidify the round
Sharpory sports and that is a big hole in the heart for f5
are still struggling to tangle with sharper bg's having a life game f5 take their tactical timeout
they need four in a row here to keep their hopes and dreams of having even a bare minimum chance
of making it to the stage finals i love the fact that you you still just call him i9
when when he changed to i9 did you also keep calling him naphew i think i did
His original name was Nape You for ages and he changed it to I&I and I remember messaging him like
hey dude like it's actually quite hard for us when you change your name like is this a permanent thing
it was like yeah yeah bro yeah it was it could be fair it was it was the big
exactly what happened with Sapa he was scatman for ages and then he changed his name to Sapa
and now he's back to scatman again yeah I mean this is a great play from BG man and he's just
quietly I think one of the underrated players within the Asia region not
statistically because he's top four with his numbers but I just think in Asia
when we talk about some of the players certainly from the likes of Waybo what
they've been able to do internationally that we all know about Reeves and Toad etc
we've spoken highly about Crypt J for a good couple of years now then Peeps comes
into the picture right and how quickly this young kid has just been able to
to form to the level he has.
The guys like BG man, I think get kind of just a little bit
under the radar, but he's been performing really well
this stage, 2.10 KD.
There's only one player in the region
that has a better KD ratio than BG man,
and his name is Turd.
So that's a big tick on your career achievement
of your BG man.
I think the only thing that Sharper really needs to do
is just get to a Sarkra, and they can actually elevate
to the next level, no pun intended.
You're damn right, this is a very exciting team to be watching right now, and as someone
who's been a fanboy of the Thai rosters, both Sharpa and all the previous iterations of that
old Souls Heart team, it's very heartwarming to see.
It feels like this team has been grinding for a long time, you remember in 2021, when
Apex South, when like, Kola's Pritch, ABG, etc. played for Fury, do you remember when
they were last place, literally did not get a win for an entire stage and then I
think six months later they went to the Yonchoping Major and it goes to show
the persistence of these players they are insistent and they always have an eye
the keen talent peeps shuts down young up-and-comer in KLZ on match point here
Sharpa looked to finally put in that last twist of the night.
And this is also going to put an end, unfortunately, to the stage for F5 Esports.
And not so much. They obviously played tomorrow against Alive, which maybe the pressure will be off when they perform.
I would give them a tick, give them a pass. I mean, this is essentially a tier two team that came in the tier one fight.
So it didn't have a lot really riding into this stage and I think that
Well, I would say the completely exceeded expectations
I think it's been a pass it being competitive and that's what you want
And unfortunately in this game or with the least competitive maybe they've been since the opening week
Yeah, I mean this will be the worst result for at five if they lose it from here
They have won three rounds against even the hardest opponent in Daystar, but Sharpa are not making it easy.
5v2, and they really set their focus on the bomb site.
In they flood, Edward, last one left alive.
He finds only a single kill.
Pritchey is the last player needed for Sharpa to lock in a big three-point win today.
And F5 say goodbye to their stage.
Yeah, unfortunately for F5, not going to be capable of finals,
because for Sharpa Esports, they will be there, and they're in the hot seat.
to go to the Asaka Major. Don't put anything on that. They genuinely could even be the
number one seed. They were very, very good against Weibo Gaming as well, back on Lair
last week. Just have to fix up a few things, and Weibo defensively on Lair are very, very
solid team. They're getting better and better. They've got young talent, they've got old
talent, they've got experience, but they've also still got players like Peeps, want to
to see him on an international stage to get even better.
And they were just very solid.
I mean, Cloudhouse, they just played it perfectly,
didn't really try to do too much,
didn't really want to shake up the meta,
and knew that their experience was just going to be too good
for F5.
That probably did want to do a couple of different things.
And again, on defense, that's where
they struggled as they did against Fury this time,
unable to even pick up a single round on the defense.
Cloudhouse, look, they got work to do as a team.
But I mean, whether F5 Esports will stay as a collective five going into the next year is hard to say.
We have no idea.
I mean, KLZ had a very good performance and he's going to be hot property.
And what his future holds, who knows when or that may take place.
If he does eventually join, say a sharper Esports.
But yeah, I mean, I just hope that they can at least close tomorrow
out against Alivay on a more competitive note because the 7-2 loss here again,
sharper while not totally out of the picture because of how good sharper are.
I'd like to see them finish on a high note because it's been a good stage.
So let's go to our interview though with Leipholus.
Sharpa Esports have locked themselves into the top four.
You're off to the finals, Leipholus, congratulations.
What did you make of the game today?
Because clearly last week F5 Esports looked pretty good.
They were very competitive in both of their games.
I'm sure you guys put a bit of work and respect into them coming into this match today.
What did you identify and how did things play out?
We identified that the good thing about left forward is the aggressive and the thing that
randomly do a lot of other things, you know, so we kind of just need to worry about the
aggression from very all like something that you know like a hero play, yeah something
like that.
The most, the most of our game punishers like,
make too much like, mistake and, like an over do the step that they actually need to do.
Just like, slowly take step by step,
you wear out the action and you should be able to like,
take control of the map, perfectly to win the game.
You really managed that on the second half as well in particular.
I noticed a lot of your teammates are having fun messing around behind you in person right now.
Getting to bootcamp, tell me about that. It looks like Sharp at Esport is really
supporting you guys, giving you the best chance to play your A-game, put your A-game
on for this. What facilities are you in right now? What's it like playing face to
face with your teammates? It's good, it's really like it's good, like that's a lot of good things and outside after you know somebody gonna talk to around and like
like we're not getting to our mic but um other than that I think it's like great to be back to play with them again at the same time, together, yeah, very clean.
I had another one for you, if I can, Jed, sorry. I wanted to ask as well, you mentioned KLZ in one of our previous interviews and how you were thinking about bringing him onto the team at one point before you got AP back, what was it like versing him today, any more thoughts about the young gunner?
Yeah, I thought if you discover things about the team, I believe you need a lot of work to promote strategy and things together for a team that is simple, straightforward, one-sided, which is good.
I'll see, yeah, I think it's good, but we try to pick up like, if we actually like need one hand, we try the team, yeah.
I want to double down on that, because that was also going to be my question, James, too, because like, Hollis obviously, no, no, that's fine.
Obviously, like, Hollis, you've been around for such a long time now, I think it's been about eight years, you know, so like, you've seen a lot of players maybe look like they're going to have a career, but then maybe don't.
maybe don't, you've seen the likes of Crit J come in and take the region by storm, then Peeps following him and
where do you kind of put KLZ in that picture? Do we need a bit more time to see what he can do,
or have you seen enough to maybe think he's got a big future in this game?
I think he need a bit more time of experience in how the
other top team are playing. I would say he's still like lack some of the knowledge that I kind of like
he thought that like most of the top team are doing, I would say like you probably not gonna see like some multiplayer that we saw like
that kind of like normally happen in other game but what happened in rank, you know, I think he like he lack of kind of experience
because like even though he like he have team with F5, it haven't been like extra bitch for a really long
So they probably didn't like stream data for that half long, so I believe there's still like,
he KLC still like didn't see much about like after, you know, like what's the game play?
That's still really good though for the Thai region that there's still new talented players
coming through, which is always really nice. Like, Olas, thank you so much for coming on and
having a chat with us. Congrats again on the win, and also congratulations on locking in top four
on your quest to get to the
Asaka Major.
In the first couple of playdays,
every time we finish the interview,
like Hollis would go to say something more,
and then we would sting her off of him,
and he wouldn't finish his sentence,
like he just gave up at this point.
When he knows that we're finishing it off,
he just smiles.
And he should be smiling 7-2 for Sharpa
Esports against the F5 team that
They were way too good. They locked themselves in for top four. They will be into the finals James. And as I said, they are
Essentially, I don't think there's any argument you can make. They're one of the favorites along with Waybo in a two-slot region
To get to the Osaka Major whether they get there or not will depend on their finals performance
But they're in that if you were to do a seeding there at least the number two
I'm sure Sharper are looking insane right now, but it'll be the only one to be in contention
for playoffs.
Of course, our next game up, Fury and 999 and Fury are hot on the heels to make it to
stage finals.
They're almost guaranteed.
They can guarantee themselves today, so we'll see that match after this short break.
I was a little kid, but I couldn't play outside with normal people.
My parents and parents often played games.
Thanks to that, I was in a place where I could play games.
So I played a lot.
When I was a kid, I was very rebellious.
I would do things that I didn't want to do.
It was really bad, but I was walking, playing soccer, playing basketball.
I didn't want to do anything at all.
And then, I had more of a passion for it.
I couldn't play outside, so I couldn't physically do it.
For example, I could go to the hospital, playing games.
I was the main character.
I was told that I shouldn't play the game, so I didn't really have much control over it.
When I was young, I enjoyed playing games with my friends, and I think playing games was the most fun.
I was playing games at home, playing games at night, and sleeping at school.
Now, I have to thank my family.
I'm used to being a professional gamer and I can earn more than a person.
That's the only thing I'm grateful for.
When I first started playing CG, I met my friend at my friend's house for the first time.
It was a really good impression of me playing with my friend, but I've been playing CG for a long time.
I think it's a bit of a different feeling.
I don't think I've ever experienced anything like that in other games.
I think that's what makes it so good.
I think I've been playing since season 0.
When I first started playing Siege,
everyone was playing Minecraft,
and I was the only one who played Siege.
I don't think it had such an impact on me in Japan.
I've been feeling that I'm the best since the beginning,
and that I can do whatever I want to do.
I feel that I'm the best, and that I can't lose to anyone.
Well, what's the
back, ladies and gentlemen, it
is play day number six here for
Asia, APL with unfortunately
just not the F5 eSports out of
But we move forward with our next matchup and it's going to be a little bit more of the same here as well James in terms of
What's on the line for this game?
It is triple nine taking on
Fury Fury win and Ed Pop for spot looks a lot better fury lose
And then suddenly tomorrow is going to be an important day for them. Let's go to triple-nines roster first
Let's have a look at triple nine. Of course
This is the team formerly known as Elevator Academy back in the bootcamp community series
back in tier 2 they had a fortunate opportunity to qualify into tier 1 thanks
to Psychicobby and Sol's heart both disbanding. It was these guys alongside
leftovers now at 5 that made it on through into tier 1 thanks to that and
look to their credit they have been pretty close I think their biggest moment
was the breakout win against Elevate but it was a slow start to the stage and
lost away by seven one losing to
left overs at five their brothers
in arms from tier two that was
probably a bit of a stinger and
then following up also pretty
convincing lost to sharper so
Jake, I'm going to sit what you
thought about that elevate match
because to me that feels like
the highlight if only perhaps
the one and only highlight that
none and I have so far.
Actually nobody worked that
night.
I must have unless if it was
Oh, no, no, sorry. No, I did work. I did. That was the f5 way vote night. Yeah. Yeah, so I definitely did work that night
I think it was just more a case of after that
There's before f5 way vote and then there's after
In the timeline
Yeah, I'm gonna be honest. I can't actually recall it too much. So I won't speak on it. I know it did work it
But yeah after that way by a five game. I think there was a lot more
to remember
We'll move on to, obviously, Fury, and have a look at their roster, and they are a team
that I do remember, because they were actually in the after F5 Wave booth timeline, because
they did play their game against Daystar directly after that game, and they looked really good
against the Daystar team that, as we know, needed to win that game, and we kind of came
into last week after what had been a really rough start to the day-to-day start, thinking,
well, can they beat Fury?
And if they can beat Fury, maybe they can get their way back into a top four position.
It didn't happen.
Fury looked really solid on Chalet.
Certainly in their attacking half,
they just blew the game open, 3-3 half,
nice and close game,
and then Fury going windfall straight and close it out.
So that's my takeaway for me,
is that Fury looked like the kind of team
that still have got quality, experience,
put it all together,
and they were able to take advantage of a day start
that was in some poor form.
And then for Fury as well,
against an F5 team clubhouse last week,
close first half,
very similar to the first half we saw tonight
their 5 sharper in terms of that attacking style of their 5 that their attack their own attack was
even better and f5 defense was clear they're not off to scratch so with that said I think the gap
between fear and triple nine will be quite evident as we head into the map videos look yeah I want
to agree with you I've just struggled to really back in fury after their stage one performance
being so lackluster but this has been the stage of breakthroughs for them of course they've had
some bigger wins convincing look over Dolphin and the big wins over both A-Star and F5 and put them
in a position where it's almost impossible that they don't make it to playoffs. They just need to
keep up this momentum. They are full three points ahead of Daystar which is the only team that will
be able to knock them out of playoffs potentials. They final contention at this point and as you
say I'm in fury going up against 999 who have struggled with the exception of their match against
Elevate lair is where we go to now the only thing that we have for fury on this map this stage is they're lost to webo
Which doesn't unfortunately tell us very much except for you know
You get smacked by the top team in nine rounds. No, no, I haven't played this map this stage as of yet
And if you want to go really far back, you can see that fury played Daystone stage one on this map
And it was a pretty close one. They lost but five seven which is pretty respectable
For me the real question is would fury be able to maintain the form that they've had in their last two games
in a row. They're on a double win streak. Daystar and then F5 who were and are their closest competitors
for that stage final spot. If they can continue the momentum against 999 here then they will be all
but locked for playoffs. Mostly without saying of course for Triple 9 they are already out of
finals so dead rubber games for them to close out this stage but a good opportunity to learn,
grow, get better, play some tier one Siege. They actually played Dolphin on play day seven tomorrow
for what they would probably imagine is a chance to get another win on the board this stage.
The only win for triple nine came back in playday four against Alive. What you were kind of talking
about that was in overtime so didn't get the full three points but probably did show and the fury
coming into tonight to understand let's not take these guys lightly. Yeah just because they've kind
of been beaten up most games every game bar that elevate game that elevate game is enough to suggest
that if we're 5-10% off tonight, then we could lose this game. And if Fury do lose this game,
they'll then stay on nine points going into tomorrow, where guess who they play?
Sharper Esports. So if you lose to triple nine, I don't think you're beating Sharper with the way
that they played earlier tonight. And that would leave you stranded on nine points and
keep the door open for Daystar who played Dolphin today.
That's right. Daystar and Fury are kind of the main ones battling it out. Elevate also potentially
on the chopping block. I mean, there is a world where Elevate actually don't make it. Fury and
Daystar both do, but it's looking slim at the moment, especially because Daystar still have
Waybo to play, but really it just boils down to this, Jake. Both Elevate and Fury have their fate
in their own hands. If Fury win this game, get full three points out of it, it makes it almost
impossible to be overtaken, and if they go and get any points in their final match against Sharp,
Well, whether it's a win or an overtime loss, then that will lock it in, guaranteed.
Of course, things get spicy if you look at the possibilities where Daystar 7-0, Weibo, and 7-0 today, then a lot more is possible.
But let's be real, Daystar are not going to be in Weibo, maybe they'll... maybe in OT, but like it's not happening in a fashion like that,
which really opens up a big chance for Fury to make it to their first ever State Finals with this new roster.
roster. Of course, it was such a big blow to the organization when they lost the
sharper boys, went and played for Team Orchid for a bit, played under six,
seven e-sports for a little bit. And since then, of course, they've been
recruiting from a pool of Thai players that perhaps isn't as strong as they
initially thought. They didn't manage to win out the roster transfer when Souls
Heart disbanded and instead only got Mark rather than a large portion of that
team like Elevate did, but they've still got plenty of very strong players on the whole
stand.
An early pick for Kaneki onto J-Dog who, by the way, is such an aggressive player.
Every time I see J-Dog playing, he's always getting so much more aggressive than you expect,
especially for an ace player.
Kaneki doubles down, there's Kaneki over-expose himself from outside reception, and now Fury
are pretty much all but one-to-round, great right-chill onto Staxter.
Yeah, I just don't think there's a way back into it now for no-no-no.
This round's over, so I'm gonna take the time to just sort of clarify a little situation here, James, as the first round goes the way of Fury, which I did run the numbers, based on day-stars round differential, Fury's differential.
Now, you brought up the 7070 for Day-Star, right, which is mathematically the best that they can achieve tonight and tomorrow.
So, the highest round differential that Day-Star can get to is plus six.
So it means for Fury who are plus one and because they have the head to head
They only need to get a plus six round differential, which means plus five from this game tonight would do the job
So anything that's seven zero seven one or seven two will 100% lock them into finals
But they would not be able to have a new way on difference. Yeah, that's the problem is again sharper
But this is the other part of this is what is the actual likelihood that they start and go 7070
Like they were playing against like they're playing dolphin that's a 70 possible right if they were playing 999 after that
I'd say maybe it's actually but they're playing way but they're playing way
But so I think getting even six rounds is gonna be so eat
Hypothetically a star 70 dolphin. I just come out tonight, which I think it's the last get the last game of the night
They just come in they're like we know we need around the round if they win 7-0
There's still a minus one going into that waybo game
So if you win this comfortably and get to at least like a plus six
like
How do you expect?
They start to make up the round differential to go from minus one to seven
You know like all let's say very lucid sharper and they drop my cream like it's not gonna be
It's very likely we will come down to the tiebreaker of round differential because the reality is that they start already three points behind
Fury which means every point fury gets from this game and their next game as well
Which is against sharper is just more points that
Daystyle have to catch up. So even if they start gets three points today
If you we also get three points
And and then we talk about round difference, but I think that getting enough points to catch up
it's going to be the bigger issue. So if you're Daystar here, you're just really praying for 999
to win this game, and hopefully in regulation as well. Otherwise, we're really going to need
to see Daystar take points away from Weibo. It's as simple as that. If Fury gets any points out of
this game, then Daystar need points off of Weibo. I still think the reality is if Fury win this game
and win it comfortably, they're going to be playing finals. They won't be 100% locked in, but 99.9.
So I think the Fury is just getting the job done tonight.
Yeah, and look, the only reality going into Play Day 7 tomorrow is,
will it be Elevate or Daystar that make Top 4?
That's going to be the only question.
And then we'll also probably know that answer going into that last game
for the Waybone Daystar anyway, as Dark gets the opening kill for Fury.
So far, it's looking pretty comfortable.
They haven't really been tested by triple nine
They've got themselves a direct look in towards the bomb site with that you give up that first course
By the way when I came in last week, I was like I was trying to figure out as they're making a push in Miku dead immediately
J.Doc gets one insta-traded by Dark
Miku's still on the ground so what's up on the Monty stacks to the last one left with one HP
There's going to be the return as well from Darkstool playing first floor.
Kadecki can get information on the solos, but more importantly on the roam behind,
Counts of Stax star, and that should be a 2-0 star for Fury, and so far haven't been tested.
But yeah, it came in last week and I was like, who's Kenecki?
I haven't heard of that name before, it's just Pyro-man.
It's just Pyro.
Yeah, yeah, you're saying something.
And I was just like, so I was like, okay, I'm going to go look at his Wikipedia page.
And then the alternate IDs that he has on his page, he's got Noleaf, he's got Zugo,
He's got Sven Pio, Demon Mur, Akron, PXO Troll, P-O-Min, which is spelled P-E-E, Daemon,
and then Kineki.
This man needs to take a name and stick with that.
I remember we saw Daemon and Pion in last stage, and now he's changed it again.
It's bloody annoying.
We were talking before about Scatman versus Sapper and Napey versus I9.
Guys, please don't make it any harder for us that it needs to be.
the pronunciation like I'm like is it Kineke is it Kineke that whenever we have new players we
have to learn those ones like I noticed you said so what and then you said so what's up on the Monty
and I was just thinking what's up on the Monty. So here's is it possible I don't know if you can
hear me can while we're in the prep phase can we get so what's camera up is it possible I need a
You're asking a lot of Alex here
Alex is the best production guy that I've ever worked and I'll but I will retract that statement
Come on guys
There we go
Very quickly James does he remind you of fat cuz I kept yeah, I swear he looks like fat. I think it's the hair
It's the hair I reckon I
Love that
But I don't have the the rage bait like yeah, we need to try to rage back
I wonder if he gets Ray's favor into the USFH.
Ha ha ha ha.
Reaching sequence activated.
Tracked out.
I'm reloading!
Wow, we'll see.
As so what's up on the Monty again, 999, look for their 30% at an attack round.
For this round, the extra operator bands will come on in.
I wouldn't be surprised if that Monty gets taken away from them.
Make the most of it while you can.
middle four bombsite looks very differently to the other bombsites on
It's all about that plant and that plant is all about the vertical control
Which means that to the attack has to be all about that vertical control
You've got to clear out that top floor. Otherwise, there's just pretty much no way you're getting a plant down
call some magic it also took me a bit as well to realize it's not actually so
what one four double zero triple line but because they've got triple nine in all
of their names. It's so, well, 1400 and then that's it.
Very slow on a lot of these attacks which is just making life very easy for Fury. I mean
there's 90 seconds already going down. Look at the plunk's briefing with the sense play
and the monty. But, I mean, this is, uh, front of the drill
stuff on there these days where it's in like Fury whole set up with bringing the North,
Which helps counteract the Vonte, you've got Dark on the Solos, Mark will play the Solo inside of Bunk, playing this well.
Get one crack at this.
This is a scary one to do when the Grishmore comes out. It seems to be a little bit of a fake though, so what is actually doubling back to the other side.
Another way to get back into it.
Gas has stalled out 999 for now as the send light will subside as well.
It's a real game of eight and a switch, but with that pick from, I can still on the bomb site,
it's gonna be much harder and now there's full info from the Solas from Upper Barthes.
Plant an eye, easy as you like.
This is why you must go deep and try and find those players upstairs before going for the plant on this bomb site.
and a little low in trying to kill Mark who has reached absolute havoc on this 999 attack while sitting on that bombsite.
It's an easy round and a third in a row for Fury.
Well, I mean, the round differential is now being made up is that this is even worse news for Daystar in terms of two teams left that you can realistically jump being elevated in Fury.
Fury are getting the job done. It's been a breeze.
I mean, they haven't been tested really at all in this match.
I mean, we've just been kind of talking more about what the permutations will be three straight opening kills for alive three alive for alive
They've had already two multi kill rounds. No plants have gone down
This is as one sided as the first three rounds can be
No, that's the first time I think I've seen nor can this stage and it's interesting James the discussion around the operator
Which when we before the stage started as we're in the tactical time out now from triple nine
before the stage started so actually even before PTR I think when Nor was
first announced everyone was like this guy's gonna be nuts and then I think
the first iteration on PTR followed through with that and then they made some
changes and those changes you mean TTS. PTS sorry. What is PTR?
That's from World of Warcraft.
Public test realm.
Right.
Yeah, sorry.
They made up PTR, TTS, you know.
No, no, no.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They made two changes and it cooled off.
The thing that changed was the way that it interacts with Hardreach.
So it used to be that the drilling of the...
Because what happens is you shoot the gadget, it hits a surface,
and it drills into it for a few seconds,
and then the fire starts activating.
the thing that changes on the test server, the drilling, as soon as it started drilling,
that would destroy any hard breach. But now it's not the drilling, it's only the fire
itself that will destroy the hard breach. So it used to be...
I think it cooled a lot of people's interest off quickly and they kind of put it to bed
and I can't remember who I spoke to or heard people talking about it. It's like, no, he's
not that great anymore. Slowly is the stage to balance and we've kind of gotten more towards
the tail end. He's now making more and more of an appearance because you I think
play is realizing the versatility is just got five charges, it brings about why I think
a big part of that from my side is the fact that people are realizing you
actually just can't use him like so. Particularly I noticed it on Clubhouse, Raft is
at the doorway and then they just can't walk inside because it's even
the top of the stairs right? Top of the stairs, halfway up the stairs is a good
one as well that I've seen plenty and you can do that I mean you look at this
map right here and there are plenty of spots like if you are the noir you
can probably hit default from a lot of different positions especially if the
chanker is banned like he is here but of course in this case more as well but yeah
well even so even on Bones briefing for example which is where it was played if
you've got the vert to the doorway from green in in towards you can literally
just spam all flight charges at the doorway when they want to actually
execute so it's versatile. I think that if we do need to buff more a little bit the easiest thing to do is to buff the enemy, so it's going to be more
competitive. I don't think you do. I think if you buff him he's just going to be broken. I think he's that perfect. The fact that Triple 9 abandoned it, the fact that he's now starting to get
played. Not every operator that comes in needs to be immediately this thing that's
either picked or banned or like really good needs to have that niche and I always
look at like Denarii is a great example of an operator coming in, fills a niche
roll, gets picked every now and then, and is solid. Bit of a pace switch up to
triple nine by the way, it's J.Doc into bathroom. I mean this is better out of the
time now, first half didn't go your way, very slow paced, so they try to pick it up,
Fury are ready for it, even threw up the R.E.U. from the Sends, and they're still
not working, in fact this might end up being flawless.
Jube is the last one left, he also dies to Kineke towards mezzanine, it's four
straight to Fury, they've got themselves into a very commanding position
And again, even this time a change up in the pace from triple nine still doesn't work for them
Yeah, this is a shellacking
it's a real dreadful day to be on the day star side of things with how far they are dropping behind if
Fury find all three points here. They got the 12th, which is
a whole six points above day star who will need to get every single round after that in order to
close the distance not only for the points but also for the round difference
so yeah not a good day to be no no no not a good day to be day star either
no it's a dreadful day to be day star you gotta start giving commission honestly
you really should be giving commission to day star if you're sorry commission to
No, no, no, if you're a Daystar player.
Then, theory, I think still a ways away from becoming a team
that can compete at the top level.
I think if you look at stage one in Asia,
we had Wabo, Daystar, Orchid, Soulsheart.
Now, that is a competitive stage five.
All four of those teams looked really good.
Of course, Wabo were the clear number one,
but Daystar, Orchid, Soulsheart,
that was neck and neck between the three of them.
And that result really showed
in the half of the games in stage finals were actually two ones, our upper bracket final
and both of our lower bracket games all over time third mappers. But unfortunately I just
don't think we're going to have the same level of effectiveness even if it is a waybo sharp
to elevate fury. I think, especially now that we have two spots, maybe there'll be a little
bit of a battle for second, but I'm pretty confident that it'll be waybo and sharper
I mean, anything happened in finals best of threes. I mean, I think everyone will say
way above 100% considering the two slots as Mark and Fury just continue. We're kind of
just podcasting while Fury just.
Let's keep talking about it all right now. That's not the kind of thing about operating
design.
Let's have a podcast. Can we upload this to the Jakey guys show?
This might be the most one-sided and quickest one-sided game I've seen for a little while.
I just noticed after 3-8-7s yesterday.
I think you do yesterday, so this was the longest day.
But I think taking a little look forward to the future with the two slots is probably going to be that lower bracket final.
And if I had to guess, take a wild guess, it's probably sharper elevate.
And I think there's enough quality on that Elevate Ross they could pull off the win.
They would be the underdogs.
Stacks that actually have the ability to pull off this round as well.
That's actually really strange.
Why is Dark just standing kit by himself and leprechaun to mark a plain basement?
It's gotta be one or the other.
You have a three stack basement, where you three stack a kit.
That's... yeah, that's weird.
I mean, somebody's just gotta play it for the content, man.
Yeah, well, man.
Stacks.
This would be a 1v5, and I'm always a 1v4?
I think it would always be 4, but I might be wrong.
The critical thing here, Jake, is Staxter has got to kill Labyrinth first,
because if he ends up in a 1v1 against Labyrinth, then...
I mean, he's playing the 1v1 goat, you can't do that, can you?
You've got to prioritize your targets here.
Well, having played Labyrinth in 1v1, let me tell you, he was the best.
And it wasn't close.
It's in his element.
Oh, there you go.
Guess he's good to be one as well
I'm tired those ones be those won't be ones last days were a lot of fun firstly sure
We're not easy. You gotta think about it. Jake the grass is but the thing is
Most of the wonderful pros that I played obviously were not exactly trying James
All right, like which is not great for me, but they weren't exactly trying
Leverent was a complete 110% opposite like that. He destroyed me
I think it was Napey was the closest I got.
A bit embarrassing for him, I wanted to change his name, that wasn't me bro, I'm Napey, that
was I9.
I would love to actually talk about operators again with you, I was having a bit of fun
there Jake, you talked about how a lot of the time we kind of see these operators get
release on the house and then really on the other side of the little bit.
I've noticed a trend where the devs seem to be a little bit happier letting attackers
be OP than defenders and I think that's because the game isn't creating a defender side and
that is even more the case as you get lower levels of the game.
So the attack has to be a bit stronger to compensate for that.
Dukabee for example was busted when she first came out of the match.
The changed Dukabee, yeah.
Yeah, sorry.
changed over here. I mean, she was also busted when she first came out.
Well, I mean, if you look at it, well, the thing is, yes and no to a degree to your statement,
because Solid Snake, obviously, the most recent attacker operator to be released. Yes. I mean,
it's clearly fundamentally changed a big part of the game. But then the next one before Solid Snake was
Reora. So no, right? Reora is a bit more niche, setup orientated based on certain sites and maps.
You're obviously not going to see her all that often. But when you do, you kind of sit up and think,
what are they doing here? And I think that's kind of the operator that I like. In fact, really
before Nora and Snake look at Denarii, Rauri and Scopos. I know two of those are defenders, but
they feel that niche kind of role that when you see them, it's like they're doing something
with this. Where Solid Snake just kind of fits in as like, yep, cool, like it's another attacking
op that's just going to be able to clear Raurin and play the game and go shooty shoot. I love
when operators come into the pool like Nora, like Denarii, like Rauri, like Scopos, where you see
them selected and you're like oh I wonder what they're going to do with that op now because
it does something unique. Those are the kind of operators that I personally like coming
into the game.
I noticed though a lot of the devs recently the changes that they've made. They've been
making operators where there are easy ways to buff and nerf them just by tweaking a few
numbers like Norf for example. If he is too weak you can nerf him just by, sorry if he's
too strong you can nerf him just by reducing the damage or reducing the duration. If the
the reloads are reducing ammo. These don't require really drastic changes in a lot of
development time. And same with the buffs, right? Same with Dockaby, like they can nerf
her by reducing the damage, reducing the time, or just making it get countered by mute, for
example, at the moment. I don't know, and we're actually on the verge of finding this
nice round. So maybe we should lock in just for a brief moment, Jake, as it is the final
round of the half.
I was thinking that probably about a minute ago, to be honest, and then it's gotten down
the five versus two and it's kind of following the same script of the first four rounds except
well first five rounds except down the way of triple nine. But the problem is you five
won down even if you win this round which is now back on with Dark getting the kill
on to so what? I have a payload call eaten by Lebron still inside of Breeding's Dark
will get finished off inside of storage. Yeah Triple Nun are going to get around but unfortunately
it's that kind of half where the first five rounds were so incredibly long-sighted and
It's been a disappointing half for triple nine clearly that even by getting this one round
There's still five one down to fury to get the chance to go on to their defense and well
Let's see what they can do in the second half
I
All I needed was a mic
Yeah, yeah
Past the rock, it's all butter
Pack your bags and take flight
Don't worry, it's all covered
Live your life or you can
Our days are all numbered
Rain can cost thunder
But the sun comes after
Bearing up the disaster
Isn't it lovely
I ain't looking back
I'm focused on what's in front of me
Everybody takes a number
But I'm still here looking neat
Know that God got me
So I'm in good company
Yeah, yeah, yeah
to the team. Everybody got a
nice. I've been known to play
my 20, but it's time for me to
leave picking dirt right out
the cleats. Steve had more
blocks in the street, trying
not to be on my feet because
the devil never sleeps. So I
sleep too and trying to
preach that all right. Well
that was a bit of a fun
little half James, but now
time to lock in triple nine
get themselves around on the
same wayboe do that time and time again this stage as well. Clearly there's going to be a bit of a
difference when it comes to these two teams and Fury not going to be any slouches on their attack,
but certainly in this first rotation through let's see if triple nine can make this competitive
and get this scoreboard back into a safer position if they cannot though and Fury
going to win this around that 7172 margin that round differential is going to be
really important for them just to solidify their position inside of the top four.
Yeah, yeah, no, I mean it's really a, it's a tough watch if you're a Daystar, if you're
a Daystar fan.
It's an exciting time for Fury, but yeah, they are pretty much on the verge of locking
in playoff, so if this ends up being a 7-1 kind of territory, the statistical situation
that puts us in is that Fury will be up to 12 points, they will have, let's say it's
It's a 7-1, not a plus 7 round difference.
A star currently minus 8, which means that I don't think that it can touch up, right?
Oh, unless a fury gets 7-0 in the next game location of a bomb.
Yeah, I mean, it's just such a statistical unlikely situation today, so I'd be able to make it,
even if they are, to somehow be play-vote next week, or next play day, I should say.
Now Fury are doing everything that they can to lock in their first playoffs with this new squad, this new roster.
Which is such an achievement already to glow up from a second last place in stage one.
You know, Jake, they only won two games in stage one.
Which was against HL Parry and sorry, only won one game. It was against HL Parry.
They also got one overtime loss to elevate.
So already looking so much better this stage with the three wins they've got.
I think that's a major form.
Swapping makes sure there is space to have competition in this mid-pack for Asia.
I think Mike's been a big pickup, naturally.
I'm sure that's always going to be a better way to pick up.
Maybe the name change works for him and he's a new man again.
But yeah, I think Mark just kind of really rounds out this roster. You have a bad stage. Yes, but it's not about
That particular stage. It's about what do you take from it? What are the learnings?
What can we do better? Is it we need a body review better? Do we need to spend more time in scrims?
Can we fix the issues that plagued us in that stage add in mark go back the drawing board and
Maybe you can then rebound
like
Sports any sports alike. You're never gonna go from hero to zero
Hero to zero or zero to hero in one gap. It's all about the journey
So fury it's been a really good stage to and on the precipice of locking it out
Here on the top floor to start this seventh round. They do need to deal with this mask. We're at mirror setup
Having the monty from mark just to be able to block off that mess pressure from staxter certainly helping them
keeping this rather default though and pretty one-dimensional on a meson skit so
triple nine have a good chance to win this round this is an easy one to read
for them dark's gonna be the one to maybe break things up a little bit
and J-dog have a lot of control here. Why don't they got this snake instead of the
Zofia? That's a strange one for me. Yeah I mean the only particularly because he's
down below it the only way to really make this a go for a backstab
is to try and do the right though the sofa vert looks great
now server side one works that's one drew the attention of so what J-dog at least
got the kill on to the Monty didn't see how that happened because frankly Mark
shouldn't really be dying there and that now just makes it so much more
difficult for Fury to pull Nanna on here for two rounds in a row there's no
World in which Lezard and Roldini should be capable of clutching this unless it's provided to them by a few
Errors all mistakes and Roldini's little crouched walking is not gonna work big round from J-Dog and either time will expire or let principle ties
Triple nine will get to two
Okay, that's
That SMG 11 with a suppressor
What is that?
The suppress is bigger than the the gun barrel. Yeah, that's that's crazy. I love that
That was a weird round Jake very weird round. Here. Yeah, I mean not really to be honest like it's it's just
They played a little bit too simple
And they were quite reliant on dark on that sort of bathroom server side here to go for the back stuff
And well, they did get one that was all he could get and then there was no follow-up
So like if you're sending one player in on that sort of back of the site here draw the attention of defenders
If he doesn't go nuts, you're just gonna lose the round. That's too much on dark to have to do
So you needed to probably have at least one more player there with him
He can then maybe get the trade onto the tachanka
That's the tachanka dead makes it easier then for the rest to push through go for plant and also we didn't get to see
how Mark ended up dying on the montane. So he should really be dying there at that point.
But credit to Triple9 because they also didn't throw their lives away. They kept it pretty much
on site. Did a lot right. Didn't really do anything wrong. Walk away with the round wall.
But that's top 4. Basement, Bunk's briefing is very different here on Lair. And this is
going to be the test for Triple9. If they're the real deal on being able to bring this game back,
It's going to have to be two round winds in a row here.
Yeah, that's right. Basement's a whole nother kettle of fish here for Fury to deal with.
Ooh, a little roam going down from J-Dog.
No, no, no. You can defend this bombsite quite differently.
I like the fact that you just sit in front of a roaming,
floating with the idea if you don't roam on this bombsite, you'll like that it get versed into oblivion.
and this is where the solid snake really can shine but there are a few denarii
or rather Fenrir. Fenrir traps around on this first floor room, we saw something
placed out before and with three players roaming around them in particular the
solace will be mean has to be careful he's just walked into a big group as
as well. And now that Mark has seen the world of life, I think Fury have realized that we
do need to push on the top floor. And Roldini is really in a world of pain, he's now in
a mansion. So there's so many different layers of traps here, I think he's going to need
some assistance.
Well, like this.
He's now going to help him on out.
Yeah, I mean the pushup yellow stairs is not something that you'll see two of them.
And then you couple that with Roldini, surely you catch one here.
Oh, wow.
Wow, Drupal had no idea that Mark was kind of slipped up yellow stairs rather than a more direct approach or top-down.
They've almost inverted this a little bit on the clear of the first floor.
It's any copter, the radar and his hand on Stax there on the timing gets the swing kill.
It's 3v3, far more doable now for triple nine,
but not in the position where they can just fall back play three sides because Dark Souls 3 boogie auto breaches.
So you can get a lot work done on the floor boards on this first floor and they will go three stack face him.
Fury will have a pretty good chance over the next 30 seconds or so to find the next kill.
Dark has to have the confidence though that the three remaining defenders are in sight.
Still two Pugilto breaches, these need to be going out, he's too scared that someone's
pushing him.
The problem is, if he does breach open the floor and then gets flanked later by someone
upstairs then that verbal work against him tonight, so he can't risk it.
Instead he decides to try and drop down and support his teammates on the bomb side, but
Gado has already taken down one and well Mark finds his, it's now the Blackbeard forced
to 1v2 Staxter and so what, 20 seconds there is actually time here to make this happen.
Info still on where the plan is going down thanks to the bulletproof camera gives 990
advantage.
I mean the time is against him here now, now it's hold.
So it's too easy for the defenders in that position.
Even if there was 10, 15 seconds on the clock,
you'll go for one plant attempt.
So you kind of break that play down
as a set play in the 2v1, where you think,
what's his win-con?
Well, his win-con is probably getting that plant down
and then being the black bead in the post plant.
So he's just gonna make sure he doesn't get that plant down.
And 10 or so seconds left, he starts planting.
They start then to push, make the audio sound.
He gets off and shoot.
And if you saw those outlines,
immediately they just then sat back
said we've won the round now because either he's going to get the plant down late or he's going
to get it down with like one second left and at that point we're basically on top of him so
really well played from triple nine and I think for fury that must have been the kind of round
where there is either miss com or some issues with that they're actual planning how you're bringing
a ram for a reason and to have two boogie auto breaches in pocket is just baffling to me I mean
you bring in utility, use it. Open up the floorboards, put pressure on these defenders with plain sight.
Find nothing, you find nothing, whatever, but the way that he then dropped into Toxin,
darkened, a bit flustered, like he didn't really know where anyone was.
I just wonder if they made a rush to the leader, just a tiny bit at the end.
It's 3-5 now too as well for Fury, this is where the way that that round finished,
good translate here into Bunk's briefing, and that this doesn't work out for them, it's 4-5.
back to top floor. Don't forget for Fury, they still need to win this game. Like at
5 mil in the way that first half was playing out with the thing, okay this is going to
script. Let's have a bit of fun and just you know, podcast a bit. But now it's getting
very serious because if they lose this game in regulation, there is a fair chance they'll
miss finals. They play sharper tomorrow. Fury need to lock in quickly.
they do and they just lost their thermite. If I'm not wrong observer, I believe we do not have the
main breach open as of yet from Geniki. There's no redundancy in hard breach here at the Fury,
which means that you're not getting the main wall open. Yeah, I mean it's got to be direct with the
Cens and Monti, isn't it? But you're now down a playoff. You need the breach open because now that
now that you've picked the thermite, you can actually play someone in front of where that
that breach would be, which is unkillable.
Absolutely unkillable, Defender, who plays that position,
now that you can't breach the wall at all,
and you have the half wall to play behind.
I don't know if 999 know for certain
that there's no hard breach,
but I would 100% just anchor someone in that position now,
because there's no way that the bank goes down
while they're alive, especially the warden.
Warden, that's a call to be made.
Problem with top floor now, if you think, okay,
well, maybe pivot to a top floor here,
where it's still 4v4.
The problem with that is,
You also don't have any hardboots to open up any of these walls and you're just going to be walking through doorways.
And this is also, I think, now for Fury, they must be sort of communicating, what do we do?
What do we want to do? Because this is probably not going to plant.
And it's just a lot of sitting around, you know, they're kind of stalling themselves out.
Because you don't know what to do, so you're like, well, let's slowly make our way forward and try and find...
But that's the problem like your your plan a is gone
With that thermite being killed you can try and go for a desperate push onto the bomb site, but
Throwing out these roamers upstairs. It's just step one. Okay two big picks. This is how you lose it 999
This is how you fumble it. It goes away right before our very eyes Staxter finds a single kill
Cuff in the corner. He will be traded on back by Roldini so what now in a 1v3
three doesn't matter that thermite is gone he's left all alone and he's now
frozen away that stock could be called very nice but he's still got three players to
find i know that he is standing at this door is the verb from up above can slow
him down nice nice nitro cell does that give him a damage but no go under
elaborate sees the player talk quite lander kill this e.m.r. it's just not
what it used to be traded back by mark on the monty i would love to see like a
a percentage chance of winning that round if that night just so gets the kill
Like at that point the top four players forced to drop have to play the kid
You can put pressure on the Monty in the meantime
That would have been far interest a far more interesting to watch out
But what that means is you're trying to use that DMR though like I don't think he was getting another kill that
You don't know does not do nearly as much damage and the recoil kicks like a mule
But they get to six now fury and they do it in probably the one round is half that they actually maybe shouldn't have one
Seeds could be a funny game.
That's disappointing for triple nine and that would probably not deflate any kind of momentum that they had leading up to that point
Yeah, they still go back to master and R6 the fury also
now with this point I
Guaranteed on 10
So that's a guarantee. So if you think about daystar on six day start now need two results rather than potentially even just
maybe one. It means they need to get points off of play, though, which they did. The first team to do it, attackers have discovered the location of one. Even a 7-0 against Dolphin today is not going to be enough. They need to actually not just get a good result, it's going to be actual points from that game.
It means at least 6 rounds.
The team that nobody has taken 6 rounds off has been a single P01 all a year long.
It turns to triple 9 though, because they looked at and buried 5 rounds in.
I thought this was going to be 7-0, genuinely.
The way the game was kind of playing out.
Full dominance in the opening kills, full dominance in the late round.
You could sit back and say Laird defensive-sided, sure, but I mean Fury were just absolutely trouncing them.
Triple Dying took that time out and responded ever since and to get three straight rounds one of those being an attacking round against Fury who have been good this stage
It's good competitiveness
What more can they do? Back to the top floor now and they've got J-Dog lurking in reception on the smoke
Dark on the nook is going to make an entry. This is actually a very interesting lineup for Fury by the way for Master in R6
I think this is going to be first floor focus dark Roldini and this is really bad for J-Dog
like this is what you don't want you're gonna have darken Roldini that you're gonna have to contest with
they're gonna try and put pressure from below and they might actually then look for like a server side here
Love seeing the nitro strikes like this
Especially if you can target mark it would be huge a lot of tick damage in this lineup
Smoke, the Chenka, the two Nitro cells and the Denyre lasers.
But the smoke's playing reception. He's not denying anything on site and he's gonna have to
get in with Dark and Maldini. He's tick damage. He's tick damage. So he doesn't die.
Look, he's busy hiding under a table. Well, I mean it might work. I mean,
sometimes the table hide works if it's not drained properly.
And Dark actually makes his way up to the top floor, so it might actually be...
There's a fair chance that J-Dog actually might kill Rodini here.
That's what Fury are probably going to be waiting on.
Rodini to get into position, first floor, triple impact, they've got Dark now on the
storage side hit, so this is what I kind of figured would happen.
taking some space quietly and then watch mark them they'll push in behind on the blitz and then flood forward
I'd have clipped on
Maybe not no
Oh, no, you don't shoot that
I mean, they already knew where he was.
Now, Mr. Chanswell, being he has to open a three-bit goonsland something,
he's talking about 50 HP of damage, and J-Dog indeed is onto the bomb site, top of Mezzanine now.
Nitro is still prepared for J-Yob. It goes out, does not find its target.
So, unfortunately, he's missed thanks to the smoke. Fury is just sprinting on through.
Yeah, I mean, this has been scrappy. I'd like to see this played a little differently though, so I'm all for it.
1v1 trade ban, J-Docs rotate back up, 4 main stairs to mezz has been good but shut down by Rodini, 1v1, similar health margins, identical.
10 seconds, Rodini still needs to think about recovering this kit, but I don't know if planting is going to be his wincon now.
He needs to find this kill against Juve, he's hiding inside of R6, time should expire, will expire.
Triple 9 will get another one.
And not a bad effort though. I mean I like the fact that Fury didn't try and play that in the conventional way clearly for
Triple nine they were expecting that with the lineup that they brought and a double kill from J-Dog after hiding first floor
I thought once the triple impacts went out from the Zofia as watching bottom left to see if he'd start moving and he did
But he actually didn't go to fight Roldina. He went straight back up main stairs
Towards mezzanine and found a double kill. I mean that that caught Fury off guard. They weren't expecting that
I wasn't expecting that either. I thought it'd be a 1v1 against Roldini.
But what I did expect based on the lineup from Fury was that sort of server storage backside here
didn't really show anything towards Ops, Mez. Tried to just overwhelm the defense.
You know, dark on the nook if he gets that kill onto the Tchenka, that's probably their way into the
back of the site. But those first shots didn't really connect and from there easy for triple nine
a clue on to what was happening.
Now Phenomenal takes the tactical timeout for Fury to try and lock in this round, only
two attacks needed, they've already found the first one and they know in all likelihood
there's going to be basement. I do feel like, I wonder if it was worth taking the tactical
timeout now or you save it for one more round deeper because by that point if your team
doesn't manage to win the basement attack it'll be a tertiary bombsite which is
the weakest bombsite definitely the one that I would hope Fury have the best
chance of winning it's the one I've already won. Now going into a basement
it's a very different proposition here for Fury but perhaps they're aware that
999 go through this heavy room setup which we're seeing brought to the table
almost exactly the same operate well exactly the same operator line up I
I expect it will be a very similar defense here from R9 where you have three of your
players on the first floor.
Rome hatches pre-opened by the way, notable there from...
Thank you.
The big concern here is just how rushable this ends up being if you have the confidence
to go for it.
The attacker's objective is to defuse a bomb.
Well Stripalmine's only points this stage have come from that overtime win against
Elevate.
Two rounds away from getting to OT against Fury.
Came from J-Dog and Stacked up.
did defend this site. Interestingly we had a clean sweep of opening kill
conversions in the first half since then change four straight where it has not
been converted. Three of those have been from Fury that dominated the first kills
and 8-2 split is very very one-sided.
For the Rome Clear, will they hard clear every single one of these Romans for 999 forced
them back down to the basement?
I do feel like with the nature of this setup, if 999 loses the numbers upstairs, that should
be the round done.
As soon as these players fall off the road,
she'll have so much control and vertical ability.
J-abs in a good position.
Shotty at hand.
And you can see how suspicious Fury are of this position.
Sounds like you're casting golf, James.
Guys, what are we saying though?
I don't know, I don't watch golf.
Going for the club this time.
this time just gonna whisper really quietly about taking shot wood to take
your shot part three and he's off onto the green very nice I don't know if
that's common to them little golf well this is I cannot believe it finally
been spotted you got a you got a vacate
it doesn't answer
yes this is me with the gun
well the gun watch has really happened in the last minute so it's all about the
happen unlike all 35 seconds let's see what the execute's gonna look like from
fury is jubes still playing around reception tried to go to the timing on
the swing but was caught Tark still watching plant tonight from Marcus J-Doc
goes down Labyrinth with a double kill and with that it's a four versus two in
favor of Fury looking to solidify this win the three points decent round
differential and top four looking very likely for the stage finish Miku so what
10 seconds remaining can they find a way to deny as Dark will fall to so what
Miko in a good position to strike.
Oh my god! He's done it!
Leprechaun's time is going to expire!
Ah!
And we need all rounds of regulation!
Baby, this ain't gold!
Miko strikes true. It's a hole in one.
Ladies and gents, we're going deeper.
My god, if I'm fury right now, I better start sweating.
My god, they needed to capitalize on the tactical timeout
and attack onto the basement.
They had the advantage in a flying one at that, but the ability to roam, the ability to flank, and take that top floor back for 999 has kept them alive here, Jake, and here you've got to be sweating, they've burned the attack, they can't now use it as they're going into the tertiary bombsite.
I said that before, I feel like it would have embedded a weight even if you lose the basement, you would then have the attack knowing exactly what bombsite you're going to next.
But look at this, I mean it was numbers advantage for Fury 4 versus 2, a 4 versus 1 even after
So What was finished on off.
That's a tilt of that for Fury.
Yeah, I mean, a little bit, but also while playing from triple 9.
I think the retake on the first floor was really important and from So What's perspective
to defend the site really as a solo for a little bit of time,
get enough to stall out, not a lot of time left on the clock, and you kind of go back to when we
were messing around with the golf analogy. Well, that's what happens when you kind of sit around
for a minute, not doing a whole lot, you then leave yourself very little time remaining in the
round to actually execute. It's a three versus one, but there's two seconds left. Well, I think it
was maybe a 2v1 at the end. So if there was 20 seconds left, 2v1, salvageable it. So that's
That's where the fury, they'll look back at that round if it could have we sped that up a bit.
You can see they're fast into the building this time around and it comes down to choices for you.
What kind of an execute do you want to go for when you're attacking, not the tertiary but the catenary bombsite.
This is a bombsite that we just never see.
999 to go to weapon. On a bombsite like this is just crazy. I've gone armoury, weapon
weapons, this is crazy. And I respect it. Now Fury are really tested in not just what
they've scrimmed, not what they've prepped, but how do they deal with the pocket strut
thrown at them at the last moment after being swept, reversed, multiple rounds in a row.
I mean they've lost five of the last six rounds that have been played.
Nice day though, that is how you dismantle a setup like this, you exploit it's weaknesses.
Daxter also takes a hell of a lot of damage on his retreat and now 999 are feeling very
exposed.
Here we have just enough presence upstairs but they're not over committing.
They're patient here, a minute and a half to go, they don't need to rush this.
but after the last round maybe they might want to keep the pace at a pretty good level.
I don't think it would be the end of the world if this goes OT for Fury with that point.
We spoke about it before, Daystar will need to be sold against Weibo, etc.
So I mean, it's not make or break. They'd love to just get this done though now and get the three points.
It's not super amazing for the round diff, but shouldn't matter too much as Kineki finds the kill onto the yellow of Jdogh in 50 seconds 5v3
Now this is go time
Don't leave this to the last 10 seconds again. Just got a half lesson in the previous round
Stax is low battling from below inside of reception. Kineki goes down to Miku, but he's now 1 HP on the Dachanka
Gotta keep the space going, but as jube did get one traded quickly by Roddini. There are some similarities to the previous round
Meekoo has to clutch up again, that's the big thing here, and he's found a second one now on the bomb site with a chunk up.
If it comes down to him having a 1v1 mark, he might have the advantage with that chunk of fire, but he is shot down.
Great play from Mark there. Staxter hasn't been spotted. If he just bites his time, all he needs to do is kill Mark.
He's going to win this. I'm calling it right now. He's going to win this and send us to OT.
You were so confident that I just didn't know what to do. I just wanted to see if you were
going to be right and you were not. It's 7-5 Fury. There will be no overtime.
Games is devastated. Fury are elated. How do you know we're in that?
And look, they're not 100% locked in for stage finals, but it is 99.9% now and may be locked
in by the end of the night. We'll wait and see.
The Fury got a little bit of a scare. To think this is a 7-5 game where they were 5-0 up in
that first half, James, and they were slaughtering triple nine to the point where we admittedly
really didn't give the actual rounds too much attention because they were over a lot of the
times within 60 seconds, and there was just so one-sided, but credit to triple nine for making
making this a contest, clawing back and did it quite halfway too.
It actually came down to a lot of the late round executes.
That's how they kind of got the rounds that they did.
And they got on a roll.
They won five of six rounds at one point and yet throughout this entire game played 12 rounds.
It was a 10 to two split and opening kill.
So Fury were effectively playing 5v4 for pretty much the entire game and triple nine still
made it a contest.
They get the three points, but they go to 12 points now and look, the only way they would now miss out on top four would be that day star, like 7070 kind of pathway and a fury will play sharper tomorrow.
So in the provision that maybe they don't get a point against sharper, which I still think they could definitely do that. Yeah, they're kind of hoping now that day star will drop rounds really and that will be the job done.
Let's go ahead and have a chat with LeBron from Fury after the win against Triple 9. Congratulations, LeBron.
Firstly, it's good to be talking to you rather than playing against you in the 1v1.
Secondly, you guys started really, really well. 5-0, perfect defensive start, dominated the rounds.
You guys were on the front full, active. It just didn't look like it was going to be a close game.
What switched though then going into the second half where Triple 9 were able to kind of get some momentum going?
going. So it's a bit like back to the extract right and then we kind of win
good pretty well on the first phase and second phase right but I'll be tough on
the late game and we cannot force it out you know like the small mistake that
makes absolute in the round by round and then like yeah
Yeah, very fair, very fair.
You guys did get very close to winning it out
in a very dominant scoreline note.
You've had some really solid games this stage
and some rough games as well.
Of course, some pretty devastating losses
to elevate and waver.
Your next game is gonna be a sharper e-sport,
of course, like Hollis and the crew
that actually played for Fury for a very long time
before you joined.
What's it gonna be like for you
going up against a team like Sharper who are in such good form right now.
So, we know right, they are all roster for us like before we came in and they kind of
win good pretty well on their free. I was like doing my best to my ZO Cloud and they choose
up to be in a team like you know they fit a bit on the good state like almost
win a game baseball and beat every team right and tomorrow I think it's just like
win our best win yeah well everyone obviously you're looking pretty likely
to make top four now with this result so finals pretty much will be on the
horizon what's going to be for you and the team now the goal going into finals
in terms of your preparation are you gonna change anything or kind of keep
things the same that you've been doing throughout the stage
To be honest, I think we are kinda like just doing the same. We are not changing anything much
much. I'm not at the camp to win again any team. It's like
seriously like white ball, you know, and sharper, right?
As opposed to our team. We're doing our best to win.
Well, best of luck in finals, Lebron and a wonderful result
today as well in the win. Congratulations. And obviously
best of luck tomorrow as well in closing out the final day
against shopper.
Let's see what's going to happen, maybe he's got something in the works for Sharpa, should
be a good game.
Moving ahead now on the schedule, still two games to go, Waybo and Elevate up next and
and for Daystar, they begin what's looking like now probably an unlikely path to finals.
They've got Dolphin, but then tomorrow against Alivate, sorry, against Weibo is going to
be the real problem with their fairy tale run home.
Weibo, Alivate should be a great game though, but you know, the expectation probably is that
Weibo get the job done, but more than anything, James, considering it's looking more likely
that unlikely elevate make finals. I need to see them put up a good fight against Weibo, James.
Yeah, I fully agree with you, Jake. I think our final two games in that way we elevate in Dolphin
Daystar. On paper, they should be really one side of affairs, but you never know with elevate
exceeding expectations so far. And Weibo slipping up a little bit in their previous game against F5.
And with the form of Dolphin finally getting their first points, Daystar struggling,
maybe we could have two competitive games on our hands.
Maybe we could. Alright, let's head to a break when we come back.
Wayboat vs. Elevate.
When I saw the tournament, when I saw CAG, or when I saw Norarengo, I felt like I was stronger than him, so I wanted to try it out.
Yes, it was my first time at the Nosepchon
It was my first time at the Denmark tournament
At that time, I thought I could win
But I didn't feel that good
I was so nervous and came back
I thought I shouldn't do this
So I started to do a lot of team work
It went pretty well.
I was thinking that I would destroy myself with the first time I played in the no-ception game.
But I was defeated without a doubt.
And then, it's hard if you're not strong on a team.
So I think it was a good experience.
When I played for the first time in a tournament, I was a little weak and I was able to win smoothly.
I was like, what is this? What is this?
I was nervous after all.
I was nervous about the first tournament, but I was confident that I could make it.
But I lost because of my team spirit.
When I first got the job, it was when I was in Mac, at G2,
and I really wanted it.
Now I think it's a bit of a bad dream.
When I first started, I watched a lot of videos of Kenji-san and Ram-san,
and I looked at their back, and it was fun.
I wanted to lose, so I lost to rank, custom, and other players.
I lost to those who were playing together,
and those who were really strong.
I felt like that was the time when I was the strongest.
Since I was born, I've been given a lot of things to do.
I wanted to do everything I could do to reach the highest level.
So I've been aiming for the highest level.
I think I'll continue to do this until I win the INVI.
I
Welcome back for the second half of today's show.
So far it's been a pleasure through the opening two days, two games I should say, we've got
two days remaining for Asia, but as we return it's a pretty big one, Waybo versus Elevate
James, which the way both gaming they have been tested this stage. No one has passed the full test
In fact in their last two games is where the tests have mainly been 7575 over f5 and sharper
So I guess last week for waiver was just that not a wake-up call
But a reminder that you do need to be very best even though they've been the very best in this region for so long
As we go to a little graphic that we've got a special one as well for this match
It's up a's affair. No, he has not had an affair, but he is having
He's flirting with the idea of contesting his wife
I actually didn't see up a's affair until last second. I what I don't get it
So I'll pay used to play for Weber which is I know this picture
You see the judge that says up a and then you see way bow in the foot. What about the return of up a what about up a's return up a's
Revenge a bit of great conversation to have about two hours ago before the show started
Well, two hours ago before the show started. What was it originally?
Was a family affair a family affair. That's right. And I couldn't make sense like that
They were a bit of a family. I mean look at the way that our pay says a nice little hug with
with Ohan. I noticed him. Reeves actually gets a full hug when he's up here. Again, from
Hoven as well, he only gets a half hug. Everyone else is getting a full hug. Notice, oh, that
was a big hug. Only a handshake. Okay, that was a big hug.
Oh.
Reeves, you know, if we're just discussing.
No, that last hug was not it, so no wonder he's off the team.
Well, that was a bit of a throwback to the last event these guys played with each other
back when Arpe was on the team. Where is he now? Well, he's over on Elevate. He actually
had a little bit of a stint nowhere. He didn't play in stage one at all after he was replaced
with Gossi for after the Salt Lakes in a major stage one.
He was originally retiring, wasn't he?
I believe so, but like an ex-retiring, quite rid of the itch to play siege, so he's back.
Obviously Elevate have had huge roster upgrades here in this stage, not only getting up there,
also getting two of the old souls heart players. And immediately you just have seen the night
and day difference in elevators performance in stage one. They were getting seven owed
by Waybo. They lost convincingly to day star, sighting company orchid, souls heart. They
only got wins against fury and HLT and the fury was in overtime. Back here in stage two,
seven to have a fury, seven one of a day star, seven one of a dolphin. They did lose to sharper
and 999, I think 999 won a bit of a surprise, but definitely a huge upgrade for this team
at Stage 2.
Yeah, and they also get told you back tonight, so they didn't have him of course against
Alfa, not that it mattered as they won 7-1, James, so I remember on this stage-
They didn't even just not have him, they didn't have anyone to replace him either, for me.
Yeah, well, yeah, I mean, that night, that game-
It sounds like they were playing with a sub, they weren't even-
Like, me and Gus have obviously been doing this a very long time now, so I've never seen
a game like that before. I don't know if I will. Holds is there by the way in the camera,
in the replays. He actually sat there the whole game and just, I don't know what he
was doing or watching, but he stayed. He didn't just get up and leave. Very fascinating game.
Are they genuinely, I remember you, I think you didn't get to watch it live, but you saw
the result and then you found out it was a 4v5 and you said, well, how long was it a 4v5?
And someone said, since the first round and you were just like, what? Like, uh, they were
really good and high Cal was the star of that show by the way in that four versus five game. He was
sensational and in the interview as well they were kind of a little bit like mentally shocked.
Like in the first few rounds they even said in the interview like they were a bit upset
but because they kept winning that changed the mood in the team and got the win. We'll go to
Wayvo though as of course when it comes to the Asia region they are the kings. They have not been
dethroned basically since Turdev joined that original bleed roster ever since then. These guys
have been the kings and it just continues to trend in that direction. I don't see how anyone's going
to overtake them outside of their own internal issues that may arise in future. Like, continually
going to these international events, they've got so much talent on the roster, most of them are pretty
young. Like the only way in which this team no longer is the king in the region is either
a sharper dethrones them or someone else ends up, you know, finding that next elevation
or it becomes an eternal issue. Someone goes overseas or a different team or whatever it may be.
They just strength to strength the best team in APAC and maybe the best APAC team of all time
based on the consistency across the years. Yeah, and just to really put a stat behind that to hammer
at home. The last time that Waybo lost to another team from APAC in any match in any
tournament was against Enterprise at Salt Lake City. Prior to that, the last time they
lost to an APAC team was all the way last year at the Munich Major. And then the last
time that they specifically lost to a Southeast Asian team in Asia League was 375 days ago,
September 13 stage two last year. They lost to Fury who are now Sharpa Esport. Finally
enough they lost 300 and something else. September 9th, 2025 they actually lost
funnily enough to elevate 7-3 and that's the last time that they didn't lose the
elevate. Yes it was indeed it was the Brazilian Elevate roster so look it's
been an entire year where they have not been contested in this region, haven't
lost a single BO1 or BO3 domestically, only losing games at an APAC level or an
international level, which has been saying that.
And they're not a complacent team because they know that the real path for this team
is to do something internationally.
So that's kept them level-headed back home regionally.
Let's go to the map Vito's four-disc game to see where we will be playing for Weibo.
Recent times it's been a big, rare focus.
It's their last four games straight have been on left, lost four games straight.
And Fortress was the only other map back on playday one when they beat triple nine on
fortress so they're saving their map pool they're not the kind of team that we're going to look to
Jameson say oh but they've only shown two maps like that this is perfect for them that they've
been playing predominantly just two maps they know full well that the other maps they're more
uncomfortable on and they get to kind of save those going into them finals and eventually the
isaka major they will start attack here in this first star so that's good news for elevate getting
to start on the defense of fortress when it comes to elevate i don't believe they've played
fortress this stage so this will be a big test for them. Yeah a huge test especially for a new
team of course coming in to stage two they only had two players in the stain as stage one and
that really does make things a lot harder. As you've had to prepare all of these maps for a
completely new roster right like everything is different every map every bomb site every strat
you have to work from the ground up with nobody knowing their roles and just
shooting the hour on the go. So they've focused on club and lab so far, so the
third map that they've actually gone to here, Weibo, I'm very happy and you can
actually see funnily enough it did, oh it's something to flip, but you actually
get to see it was between Fortress and Lef, funnily enough Weibo got the final
hitch and it was between their two favorite, the two maps that they've been
going to for every single game so far. So really, it just feels like Waybo
held all the cards coming into this and they still hold all the cards right now.
So this is actually very interesting. So Clubhouse and Labs, the first two
bends from Elevate, have actually just gone and looked at those bends and said
well those are the maps that Waybo really like to play. So we're also gonna
just get rid of some of their strength maps. And then look at the last two,
Lair and Fortress. So Waybo's ability to kind of control based on their strength
in map pool what the veto is going to be in a best of one. I also think is a big secret
to their success throughout because you think best of ones are best of ones. If a team like
Waybo is ever going to get done, it's probably in a best of one. But because their map pool
is so strong, they can kind of control the map veto process. And it's almost like I would
be curious to maybe speak to Gohan about this. If they actually put almost this strategical
work going into a stage about we want to try and get maybe just two to three maps, we try
to get those maps throughout the best of ones, but we know we're still strong on the other
maps when we get to the best of threes. Because if you look at clubhouse and labs, they play
those internationally for Weber. They don't need to play that here. Those are the maps,
and then the benefit to that, clubhouse and labs and these maps that can end away from them,
when they then get to Osaka, there's less vision on those.
Yeah, and look, that may well be the strategy they've gone with right now, having only showed
two maps and they had a choice between lair and fortress they wanted to go to fortress which is the
road slightly less traveled here they played lair more times than they played fortress and it means
that like let's say in Osaka weibo is playing x team doesn't matter who it is and they go let's
say clubhouse and i think well when was the last time we played clubhouse oh ages a million years ago
so they would have changed so much since then because weibo is a very top level team and they
they scream and they adapt.
So it makes it a lot harder to then understand
what they're gonna do on that map
when it comes to those international events.
And that's the next level
for a lot of the top teams in Siege globally.
But because Waybo are so good,
they can actually almost look ahead
to those things in future and pre-plan.
Whereas your elevates and your sharpers,
they've got to keep it more in the moment.
They've got to play their strong maps.
And they've got to play those maps
and show vision on those maps
just to get to these international events.
Attacker's objective is to locate a bomb and defuse it.
This will be a fun half though. I mean Fortress' defend decided, but Weibo is Weibo, so this should be a fun half.
Yeah, Weibo are a very good attacking team, the way they use those shields in particular. Whichever ones you leave up, moment.
Elevate have chosen to leave up all of them.
Lado decided to just get rid of the Electro Bros.
Doing so, it's left all the power-ups on defense available.
In this case, the ones I'm really looking at are the mirror.
I mean, you could say they're off the speaker of the mirror.
Hoven can easily counter that one.
Wow, he's countering everything.
Default cam.
I wasn't even bothered to get back on his Twitter and put it in a safe place after he's used the pre-charges.
I mean, this is just so much clearer from Lado.
They're clearing out every little piece of U-Tool.
they might have to defend with and Kurt has worked his way up the stairs with a sound cover from Gotti.
379 days since Elevate last beat Waiver with a completely different Brazilian roster,
by the way, and Haikal, who's been one of the best fraggers for Elevate and actually a top
fragger in the entire league, kicks things off but very swift trade, alright kicks things off,
get shut down first I should say but swiftly elevate find one back the second one it's up a
against his old teammate as the vectors come to life here the flank big from up a I told
just keen because he didn't get to play last play day and all he had to sit and watch and he's
just wanting to get active two big kills from him yeah I mean really good start for elevate
that's what you want and also this particular site is a little bit vulnerable at times at least
within this region. I have found attacking teams on command bathroom. You usually get more of an
opportunity. It's the primary site gets played the most, but then that gives attackers more
opportunities. So it is trending to be a little bit closer to not attack the side of randomly
means, but not this defensive juggernaut. And Turd's found two kills, but he's going to need the AC to
win this around 60 seconds. Kit's off into the distance. If anyone can do it, Turd is that guy.
Number one rate of play within Asia. So I wouldn't completely count him out of this. Tolju's low has
to actually answer the call being protected though by mr. Punch and then scat man playing on the
get could get a double here i didn't quite fully connect mr. Punch not fully peeking out you can
see here on the bov or maybe not he kind of gave it almost like a half peek didn't fully expose
they're really well played from elevate nice but told you who literally sat and did nothing in the
last game against their five because of his pc issues two kills from him coley would be happy
good stuff for Elevate.
Indeed. Every round that they get is a better result than what happened in Stage 1.
I have a 7-0ed them back then.
A little bit of confidence here from this new Elevate roster, which I love.
Even Tolji, man. He had one of the most abysmal games ever.
Last time these teams met, which was in Stage 1.
And off the top of my head, just straight off the rip, I think that was unfortunate.
Fortress I don't know if you remember this game but it kind of got a little bit
memed on Twitter because off the top of my head it was like two players on
Elevate had the lowest EPS that any team has ever managed. Elevate vs
Wabo Stage 1 and I think it was on Fortress. I'm going back and I'm
I'm gonna see if I can find this specific game.
But yeah, like off the top of my head,
it was Tollji and one other player.
Ah, 7-0-8.
Yeah, it was.
And off the top of my head,
Tollji and one other player had the lowest CGG rate,
oh, not CGG.
EPS ratings that we have like ever seen.
I think, yeah, Tollji in particular had the lowest.
I'm gonna go back and see if I can find that specific game.
Yeah, they're going back to same map told you I didn't cast us so I can't remember
There was it me
Told you was
007 in that game and barcode was one and seven hysterics was one and seven
So between three of those players they got two kills told you had a 25 EPS
Hovin when 12 and one had it 206
So that one round we just saw is already
he clipped that entire game.
Yes.
It goes to sort of difference in elevate rosters,
but also like the fact that Tolji can go from getting
0 and 7 in the last time that these teams played each other,
by the way on the exact same map as well,
to having a different level of confidence
to take these fights, even like duking the blitz out
last round, little bit of mechanics,
a little bit of confidence to go for something like that,
which I really respect out of elevate.
A slow approach from Weibo in this second round.
It's Anicale to get the opening kill.
And bringing the gnaw means for speed keys they won't have as much of an easy time.
The elevator here to play. Don't forget as well James, like they...
As much as we look at this matchup on paper and say, yeah, Weibo probably win,
but two things come into this game for me.
The elevator look very likely that they're going to play finals.
And then secondly, if you're going to be playing finals, you need to be at least contending in finals to have a chance at this arc of nature.
A better way to have the warm-up game than here against Waybo.
But thirdly as well, you still need points to secure finals too.
Now they do play a false tomorrow against their five will be favourites, but...
You get something here against Waybo, you can lock it in a little earlier.
Reaps gets rid of the North.
Or the 450 seconds and Speakeasy can push forward a bit better now.
That is so aggro, look at that, two players peaking turk.
You have to be.
Wave of into the playstyle though, and then slowing it right down as a result.
I think this kind of aggressive playstyle will work against teams that are a bit less prepared
for it, but for Wave-O, especially with the mechanics of their players, it's going to
be much more challenging.
Look at the time.
So now, if no one else dies, now you pull back from that aggression, force Wave would
have to flood in pushed it oh my god Reeves it's just Reeves I mean that's the only difference right
I mean the mechanical difference of Weibo makes it hard but I think this is the right way to play
against them like this so they don't win the round but I genuinely think that's the right way to play
that round it was kind of close look look at even from Reeves' perspective there a little bit of a
not a side but relief he had to hit some really good shot so that you want to make it as hard on
Weibo as possible so being aggressive but then pulling back playing the time there was what nine
10 seconds left in the round at one point
I think was like maybe 10 to 15 seconds to review fall like that's not easy even for Waybo
That took a big shot from Reeps behind the keeper barrier
So that's going to be the the path to success for elevate because if you fall back
And you don't and you're not playing that aggressive at the window etc. Third's gonna just walk in
Reeps is gonna walk in and they're gonna get kills from the space created
Yeah, five seconds left plank going down. There's still two up
So I mean that's a close round on paper and it took some big shots from Weibo to win that round.
Absolutely, I think it's the right way to play it, to elevate.
They have good mechanics, use it, try and slow Weibo down, but it's easier said than done, because as you say,
Weibo not only do they have the mechanics to back it up, but she's a scary beast this Weibo team, very well oiled.
And when they realise, oh guys, at least 20 seconds left, they will very quickly formulate a plan.
Okay, Speakey's gonna jump in this window, use the shield to force down the fan right here, and they quickly know the wing conditions.
You have to cover here, you have to cover here.
Interesting, the double back-down to Borm's games is a decision.
I don't know if you want to repeat bombsites against Weibo.
I mean, they're the kind of team that will literally run it back and they'll be like
oh we can do this so much better and they will have learnt from that second round.
Just don't think you ever want to repeat a bombsite against Weibo when you're defending.
This round, I'd be quite surprised if it's as close as it was in the previous round.
They've already gotten a much earlier opening kill dealt with the North straight away.
Not that it mattered because they dropped the Monte all together.
I think that they would have looked at that round and said,
Speak easy on the Monty and then bringing Noor and T'Chanker and Smoke.
We got stalled out.
We don't want to be stalled out.
And look at the pace difference already.
So you go back to the same bombsite, but wait for it to have learned pretty quickly.
And now they've already found two, make it three kills.
The opening kill, by the way, in the last round, James, was a minute 36.
The round might be done by the same time.
Two seconds, one.
Oh, it's on the same time.
I feel so vindicated. Don't repeat bombsites against Waybo. Last time, open and kill minute 36.
This time, round done by minute 36.
Yeah, I don't know what much more to add, except that's just Waybo doing Waybo things.
And look, we love this stat. We have a real meme about it, Jake, but it's particularly our producer
tonight, Alex. He loves the stat that Waybo, they are a first round lost Andes. It's their thing.
It's their shtick at this point.
They love losing that first round for whatever reason.
We've even asked Biki's about it.
Why is it you guys always lose the first round?
He was like, I don't know.
The stat was from, I think, stage one.
It was like the round, their round win rate on round one.
We brought up in finals, didn't we, as a graphic?
Yeah.
And I can't remember what the stat was, but it was a paraphrase.
It was sort of the lines of round one win rate is like 10, 15%.
And every other round win rate is like 80%.
It's like they just
I think we even brought it up in Paris with the Esports World Cup
I think it was even referenced there like globally because they lost the first round one of their games and then just went and won like the next four or five or something
It's like they were like oh you guys can have one
Oh we just remembered how to play
And yeah that round is a perfect example of what way to okay blow which is adapting the clean rounds really figuring out the play style
Well, now that we've had three, we have seen the final Operator Bands and I think that
Weber have banned Goyo just like to meme on UpA, because obviously Goyo, great Operator,
but funny if different Operators put a band.
I feel like there's a little bit of just, what's UpA been playing every round?
Okay, let's ban that.
Well, Mai is actually his most played defensive operator at this stage, but that was being
played by Mr Punch.
They don't bring it this round, instead, obssons of the yellow.
Now they'll give waiting cafeteria a go.
I mean, how the consistency of Reeps and Turd is just otherworldly.
They often speak easy and gaudy.
I haven't even gotten to kill three rounds into the game, but they lead.
Reeps and Turd are just that good.
I think I said this maybe last week, but it does.
But it's kind of staggering to think it's Hurd's career at one point.
Had got kicked from the team, had to retrial for his own spot.
And I remember at the time saying he was statistically the best player on the team.
Why is this even happening?
And since then, he's basically been their best player.
I mean, Reeps can pop off, but his consistency is not as actually as good as Turd.
And I'd happily say this, but I think Turd's the best player in APAC.
Phew, as they're losing this round.
And they might need...
Honestly, Turd saved me here.
I need another vindication moment.
Turd's gonna get naced.
Turd's gonna get naced.
Best player in APAC.
So, if Turd's playing well, can we claim him for Oce, being from New Zealand or...
No, because he's never played in those.
Oh, but he's a good player.
He might need the ace now.
There's one.
There's two.
Oh, my dear, he says.
I got you, Jake.
Don't worry.
Give him a minute.
Honestly, he's got a minute.
I told you he's on one HP.
So, if Hoven can get some info here with the death marks,
they'll look for NiKal's location.
okay so relay that over to Turd. I mean yeah but there is 55 seconds. Turd's pretty good
with time management. Well he's gonna need the ace now, I'm dead. Hey what? I mean this
would be an all-timer if he could win this with the ace.
Oh my god!
Started with a little cast as Curse from Jake Zark to Ben Diddy. You followed with a quick
two teams on the bomb site and then it never happened and then he died that was a fever dream
well they need more than turd he gets two kills in that round and he's been great so far same
with reaps but the concern for me early on now four rounds played two two scoreline where's the
rest of the team speak easy goddy and hoven you got into the server here reaps and turd can do this
a few times throughout an entire match they'll win you rounds as a duo or even individually
But, Alivate are a good enough team that if the other three are going to have a quiet night tonight, there's a way in for them to get a win here.
And what we saw last week,
needs to be mindful in this game, 7-5-7-5.
Waveover just kind of teetering on a bit of not poor form because they're still getting wins.
They're not at their very, very best.
And there's a chance here for Alivate to maybe cash in.
I love that this guy just bounces between the different shield operators started out
on Blitz went Monty couple rounds on the twitch before he goes over to the blackbeard which
I think is his best shield operator when he's got that nades the way that waver can displace
anchors and they quickly follow up with kills. It's huge. He's heard as well. His own nades on the Deimos.
Very brave and relevant not to bend any of the shields, not to ban the Deimos against
Wado. I think the solid's neck was in on the goshable though with Wado being so good at that.
It's a bit of a quiet moment now.
Stolji is continuing to scout around with his yokais.
Well, if you think back to this bombsite last time, this is probably one of the rounds
that elevate looked really, really good in that opening round.
Now, you could maybe put it down to the round one, Waybosch and Anagans, but to elevate,
take a little bit more of their time training with both the flora's and the twitch, so naturally
that's Climo and the game, and in this round it's going to be a slower pace.
And I think that also then relieves a bit of pressure for Elevate when Waboon naturally
on other sites are going to play much quicker like we saw back in the third round.
And we can speak easy then hopping back on the Blackbeard again naturally then you're
going to want to try and play behind him.
That makes it a bit easier for Elevate.
A big win condition here for Elevate is the Okai Drones, not just for denying plan but
but I think more importantly for it.
Causing some chaos and then enabling a kill
on to speak easy.
Labo are a very slow and steady team
and particularly those Twitch drones
that they could play the Autobots game
and chase down some of those Yo-Kai's.
It'd be huge for Labo.
I think right now I'll have made a favorites
to win this round.
Especially, I've told you we'll still have
a couple of Yo-Kai's to play off.
Reap's dead.
Lovely movement from Enhye,
Carl Hiss in some really good form
and the back end of this stage.
Flash, he'll rotate, and then hold his position again.
40 seconds, doesn't leave you a lot of time on the clock
when you're playing up against the Echo as well.
That can disrupt late.
Scatman still has a nitrocell in pocket.
Gaspade's expended from in a high kill,
so this might enable the entry through the doorway.
Four way boat.
As Goddy finds his first kill of the game,
makes it a 4v4.
They've got to start going for the execute though.
Desperate last minute push, Mr. Punch.
Lashiana Hovind, the desperation from Wendler.
They're so worried about a flank, but there's nothing there.
It's like they have this read, thinking that our players
could be flanking every round.
He's on site though, and he's been faking down
Mr. Punch holding onto the bathroom, traded back,
3k for Gotti, now two more to find,
and there's no reason to fret here for,
oh, hang on a second, that was a bit of a sketchy one there.
Extra kill there, but the clutch is one on time there
for Elevate.
And they take the lead deservedly, sorry.
If this were a different map, maybe I'd be a little bit more excited, but Fortress is going to be tough as well for Alivate to attack into, maybe even more so than Waybo.
And what we've seen over the last few weeks, especially considering Waybo have only played majority Lair and Fortress, is that defense is the strength of this stage.
They make it very difficult for teams to attack into them.
And they've been down in their last two games in the first half. They were 5-1 down to F5 and they were 4-2 down to Sharpa.
both those games 7-5 in regulation. So as they find themselves 3-2 down now against
Alivay and the main reason why I'm mentioning this is just in case people
are watching thinking Waybo are this like invincible juggernaut that don't
drop rounds and they beat everyone 7-0 that hasn't really been the case and
if well at least not last week and certainly not this week but it has not
been the case so this is not out of the ordinary but the second half is where
you're going to have to really put the work into win this game despite a good first half.
Yeah, look, I will say for Weber, they are not invulnerable. I do think they are kind of invincible, though.
It's been 307 and five days since they last dropped an amount or any best of one or best of three loss in Asia.
So they they're not invincible in terms of teams can take rounds off them
But it's extremely rare that teams take points on foot. I would be very impressed if elevator's able to get six rounds
Oh, absolutely elevate tonight and like we've said
Required for daystar to do even better than that if they are to make stage finals from here on out
But look, it's pretty normal for waybo to start a bit slow and then come back and win these
We need a N-hike old cam, although I'm gonna jinx it by saying it but he's been involved
in every single opening engagement this half.
One round to go, we'll see if he can go for the 6 from 6, 3, 2, is the splits, I mean
that's a positive.
And again he was the MVP last week for playday 5 after his moments in the 4v5 against Dolphin.
He's only got the 4 kills but he's 4v4 playing all of these entry battles so it's been a
a really good hop from him. We've done it again! He has indeed and he's actually
killed Tertzter who's the highest entry KD player in the league at the moment so
a big early pick for Elevate. Follow that up with one from up there on the
Hoven who is having a bit of a kicker. Reaps goes down to Enhicle firing up. He
can't just get opening kills he can also follow through afterwards as well.
I'm sure that's some very cool reference that I would have loved to understand now a 2v5
I think we're gonna see a pretty convincing 4k split here for Elevator.
Hang on my god he's good buddy likes a good little pre-k but he needs to speak easy to
get at least one or two here to help him out we got a minute clearly struggling with this
mirror window setup from Tolji they can clear this maybe there's a chance the clash is gonna
be a bit of a nuisance but they do have another frag grenade from speakeasy that needs to be
sort of used in combination with gaudio to deal with this clash at some point. he thought about
him throwing it there now he's coming so yellow ping frag grenade push up what can they find
do you get a paltine holos potstoolgy having a nap inside of dorms body needs to start pushing
forward into dorms but dies to afe and porold speakeasy it will fall first half goes to ae available
4-2 on their defense but as we head into the halftime break the real match now
begins to elevate on their attack
So I can make you feel what I feel
In the sky
Yeah, I really hope they make it
I'm out in the clouds
And I can see the world from up here
From up here
From up here
From up here
From up here
I
I can see the sun, I'm high as mountain, I want time to see the sea, just how I could make you feel what I feel
Welcome back to the second half.
I think we'll get a little delay before we get underway, but look, 4-2 on the scoreline,
the Hall of 8, that's job done.
You know, probably didn't need a 5-1 as we get back into the game, but the real test
is now going to be on their attack.
So again, as we've kind of spoken about at length, Waybo do typically find themselves
in this position.
It's now been three games straight that they actually are behind going into the second
half.
So, for Waybo, it's not out of the ordinary based on the last couple of weeks.
They're not going to be into this second half, surprised or upset.
They just look far more normal on their attacks, especially on these defender side of maps.
And when they've only played both Fortress and Lad this stage, it shouldn't come too
much of a surprise that and them starting on the attack in all of these games really that
they've been in this position a few times but their defense has been impeccable up to this
point so that's what I'm kind of expecting will take place in this second half but it's up to
elevate to subvert expectations. For sure an attack is always going to be a bigger challenge
particularly for developing teams compared to defense you can get away with individual talent
Having the chance to flank and and frag out on defense on attack you need a lot more than that funnily enough though
If you look at the stats elevate actually have the highest attacking win rate in the league even higher than waybo 63 percent
The exact same as their defense
But falling off waybo's own defensive win rates all the way up at seven percent and the
Favourability of the two sides was actually kind of joked about by turds that during that halftime vibe check
There was a little bit of smack talk in the team chat and high Cal said,
why would you guys drop Arpe and turd said you will see why on attack.
A little bit of friendly smack talk here to Arpe,
who's currently styling all over Wabo,
exceeding even turd and wigs in frags.
But if you believe turd, things are about to change.
I think it's important for elevate this first round to set the tone.
and they get a nice early attacking round to say to Waybo,
this is not going to be an easy second half for you,
that we're going to really test and challenge.
But if they drop the first round or two, certainly the first two rounds,
then the belief will build quickly for Waybo that year.
Again, they're going to get the job done defensively,
and they're going to be hard to beat.
The other aspect of this game is Waybo have nothing to gain or lose in this match.
They're already locked in for finals, top spot.
Whether they, I don't think they would care about being the one seed or the two seed,
it doesn't matter with a double elimination bracket certainly even more so with two slots in the region
so for them this is essentially a scrim but elevate they're fighting to still lock in their
placing finals to not have to leave it down to the final game tomorrow against their five
not only that but they would also like to beat weibo to take that belief into finals too
nice that the next thing riding on this game right for both teams is just particularly for
to elevate the confidence that you get after being able to take down Weber.
Like I said, no team has done it for 375 days in this region, and for Weber,
I think it would be a pretty big deal to lose now.
Shouldn't be, and you'd hope that they can bounce back from it, but
that stat is only becoming more and more cemented inside these players' brains.
It's been so long since they've lost a domestic matchup.
I mean, if they were to lose now, I don't think it'd be the end of the world.
between last week and then let's say they did lose this game that's the
wake-up call then to just sort of say look going into five months our form has
been a bit what do we need to do to fix it you'd rather that now then you get to
finals and maybe you lose a best of three and think oh boy it's you know
I haven't lost either in a very long time but look the best teams in the world
phase clans furious like they dropped playing your games in Brazil being
flawless locally isn't gonna make you remember on the world stage it's what
you achieve get this global final speak easy for from speak easy feels a bit
of pressure now don't think he can get out of here he could always go to the
They spotted two as well. Combs that immediately. Two here, they got Mr. Punch, so they know exactly where these remaining attackers are going to come from, easy for turd, and just two paddles.
1v4 for Scatman. Yeah, they'll just go hunting for it, won't they?
And it's first round on the board for defense for Weber elevate bit of a rude awakening on the sideswap
Just ran into that brick wall all that reinforced wall
I should say then they spent so much time faffing about it was an easy night training for speak easy and
The attempt at the backstab was not gonna work jumping in that window straight into the thorn trap. We was up a who did that
So I may test one not ideal for alivate command bathroom. You want to make make them work for it a little bit more
So in the first half that was the site where
Weibo actually had
In the rounds that they didn't win a bit more success in making it a bit close and opening up the site at that double nitro
It's just a game changer from speakeasy is they were kind of getting
Prepared to attack and get into the site and when you lose those two players at the exact same moment
It becomes a 5v3 you've got less ability to then flood the site and get aggressive
So that kind of just takes that away from you and then you've got to just scramble
As a trio and it's just never gonna work against Waybo when you're scrambling
First round throw that one away dorms games needs to be a lot better though from elevate
And I think they need to pick up the base a bit too. Yep
What have you got James seven from seven and I got has still been in every single opening engagement because he was technically the first of the
Two players who got nitro that was in the kill fee there. So
That's still seven from seven
Three opening kills three opening. Oh, sorry for opening for kills three opening deaths. So actually still a good ratio
But that presence in the opening engagements is insane like this guy cannot help himself
Definitely the player to watch in the first minute of the round
He's had a good stage, seventh rated, wonderful, wonderful performance last week, yeah, 45.
I feel like the solid snake ban is almost for him, it's his most played attacking operator
and how good he's been recently and the value that it brings on Fortress, it's just
Gotta be a must-ban.
I'd agree. I think that Anarka has a really good snake player, and the way he likes to play definitely favours it.
Another opening against me.
He's four and four now. Four opening kills, four opening deaths. Arpe takes down his old cap.
That's on for a flank though.
Wayboat. Pretty happy to have lost a bit of map control, but taken the numbers advantage with it.
Oh
That's fair honestly, I always
Always figured that was got to be a
Probably the band wave I'm guessing. No, that'd be that might be a draw power outage
I think they probably find it finally found him. Hey, gentlemen, we got him
Hey, they had a good run
Hey, this is the one downside of playing at a gaming house.
So we've done four refires, can we zero refire?
Paul, you don't know about this.
It's not a power adage, it's not an internet adage because they're still in the call, we can still see the face cam.
Maybe it dropped in the cam, but I don't know.
I'm no internet expert, but you know there's like the nap types and all this kind of stuff.
Oh, Spiky's is the only one that's fine, apparently.
Well, it could be that he's connected to the facecam on his phone,
beyond his phone data, rather than the Wi-Fi of the link here.
So, I want to quickly agree on this question. What do we actually do with that round now?
Well, the great thing, Jake, is that that's not our job, is it?
Well, it's not our job, but I'm posing the question, because I'm actually not quite sure.
Well, it was a 3v4?
Was it?
It was a...
A 3v4, and Wave-O looked like they were winning the round, but it was definitely still anyone's game.
Yeah, 3v4 or halfway through.
Like, it's not like...
I don't think you can attribute that round to either team, personally.
This is my non-admiring, but then also, yeah, I would, I would, yeah.
Look Jake, what I think we should do is...
I'm out.
What do you think it should be?
All right, wait, this is my favorite song.
Oh my god, wait, shush, shush, shush, shush, this is my favorite song, listen.
Oh
I
I
I
I'm back up and low, we behind the low, they know that you're the king
Are you in a tank?
Moment of change, I want to revive
Switching the game, they know the name
They know that I'm alive
I came back to do the right thing
You win this game tonight
You come and try to deceive the life
Let's deceive the life, let's deceive the life
Let's deceive the life, let's deceive the life
Let's deceive the life, let's deceive the life
Let's deceive the life
I
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for bearing with us. Of course, an issue with
Wavemo occurring at their gaming house. Now, as you can clearly see, it's not 5-3, it's
4 3 so round will be replayed
or the 8th round back to
mining and cafeteria
Now the context is to those that might have missed the round way, but we're leading 4 3
I think there was about maybe a minute and a half. It was kind of halfway through the round
But it seems as if that the round is being replayed for the sake of contending integrity.
So I mean we'll get some more clarification I imagine, but that's the decision, so it's
still 4-3 elevate did not get that round.
Which from the sake of I guess the grand scheme of things, Weber were technically leading
in that round so it's not one of those kind of moments games where you know
maybe Elevate were hard done by like they were leading 5v3 or something like
that they weren't technically losing that round so I don't think they would be
totally flabbergasted but maybe this would be a lot more controversial if
this was deciding whether or not a team goes to playoffs or goes to a major or
and whatever, but you know, elevator's locked and Wavo is locked, so pretty, pretty comfortable.
I think this game is much more about elevator making a statement and Wavo exercising their
success to just continue that perfect record that they've had in the last 12 months.
I'm going to enter this round on the replay, nothing to speak of it.
It was due to the hatred of the entire game, finishing and natural rehost was in order.
8-4 and 8-4 for both Reeps and Turd, 8-5 for Update, and Ikel was part of the opening
engagement for the previous round and his streak is broken.
As Big Easy will claim the first kill on halfway.
He's going to double down as well. Two kills for the old man.
His gotty helps out and high kill finally falls. Elevate looking very uninspired in this round.
And I have something I love to say on Fortress, which is never try to roam clear Hamamacross
because it just never seems to work when defenders
aggress it properly, shoot drones, fall back, go back layers,
attacks never manage to get control.
Charging reaps, well, a little deflating for Alivate.
As this is going to be tied at four to four.
I did say coming into the second half, this was going to be the real test for them.
I'm being able to attack into Weibo.
They've had two opportunities now.
Scott and I had two players to shoot out there and catch ahead of Reeps.
Two opportunities and the scoreline is going to be tied at 4-4 on Weibo.
Will this likely continue their defensive juggernaut status here in the region?
That's been their method.
Over the last few weeks, teams have just not really been able to break their defensive
holds on Lair and Portress and Scatman will save the KD.
You will indeed, out of a classic Scatman as well, I've noticed he loves an exit frag
that guy.
Great play up, but he does love an exit frag.
Weibo do manage to win that round, it's 2 for 2 on the defensive side since we swapped
up, which means we're tied again.
Wabo had made comments and we had theorized that it would be a very different story in
the second half.
Wabo have an over 80% defensive win rate in this competition across the five games they've
played so far.
While Elevate have a very high attacking win rate, the highest in the league, it's going
to be a very different story we're now up against Wabo.
So second bomb site, now bombs, still unlocked funny enough they went to waiting room cafe
or four rounds on the top floor which is typically the second bomb site.
Definitely an extension happening, a rotate home made by the chunk group.
Hold them there.
You might actually get to see the shield out of Elevator now.
Haven't seen the shield so far in the two rounds that they've played.
Scatman ends up on the Monty. I wonder if this is for a Rome clear or for a direct site
take. Either way, when you've got the Chanka and Smoke, a Nitro cell from Cernster on the
Womai plus the Thorn Traps, this is going to be a bit of a hell for Scatman to navigate.
Well, one thing they're going to try and get back to if I elevate in the first half,
they're opening kills were nice from Anhae Cal and of course that was a talking point as he was
involved in all six but second half to start and it's two straight opening kills just be easy
almost here as well onto Anhae Cal as he gets taken down a one HP so this is the element for
elevate that they need to get better at if they're going to have any chance at getting his attacking
rounds if you're having to consistently play 4v5 against Wayboat you're just not going to win any
If any, rounds.
And when Enhye kills being your best entry player, only entry player this entire game, and he's now down on one edge,
Pable someone else has got to step up.
The Monty, I understand the idea behind why you want to bring the Monty on Fortress, but
it slows you down, Wave Boeve already got so much trapped utility and solid utility,
your pacing naturally is going to be slower. I mean, Fortress plays quite slow in general.
I always found it funny that a lot of people didn't quite like Skyscraper because of the pacing, but I liked Skyscraper and was sad to see it go.
Fortress's pacing can be slow at times, but it's dependent on the attacking team.
I've seen plenty of good attacking. Certainly the EWC highlighted to me that Fortress can be played with some good pace on the attack, but you've got to do it.
Yeah, and I think that's where Elevator gonna struggle being a newer team.
That's why they picked the Monty.
Helps Expedite a roam, but they are still gonna follow these choke points and into the
util from the chankers, but in the late round, although I'll be vulnerable to the vert as
well.
I mean, this is the thing.
So many teams that aren't in this spot.
They're in bathroom, and it's all about reaching into the next room, but the problem is meeting
You don't want to execute on to me to get that push, you're still no closer or you want to get closer but not close enough for an actual plant.
The scatman is now up and he's going forward to get out and reach out.
This next wall, and high-cow will fall, he adds to the stats of being all these opening engagements.
He's got a shot.
30 seconds.
Told you, good kill.
I'll just make it easy.
Nitro from Turd won't connect.
And it's three straight kills to elevate and make it four.
Oh, boy!
Well, that's what you can do when you bring a bit of that vigor.
Oh, nice shot from Gotti.
He does have these impact moments in him, but will be denied.
Elevator on the board in the second half.
Game back on. Really good way to clear out Dorm's games and this now becomes a game, a proper game now.
Siege 5-4, they've shown they've got the ability to attack, did so again with the opening death of Hen and Heikell.
So, I mean, that's going to give them the confidence booster needed to maybe close the second half out against Weibo,
or at the very least minimum get this to OT and be the first team to take points away from them this stage.
One round away from doing so.
You know, Ape in particular fighting two kills that round definitely fights back at the flak
that was thrown his way by Terzter at the halfway point.
Pretty impressive Elevate managed to win that up despite losing the opening engagement,
despite seeming somewhat stalled out.
Keep in mind though, of course,
that we have the operator fans coming in
in a brief moment.
After three rounds in,
he is weighed by a lot of choices
about what they wanna get rid of on the attacking side.
I mean, what do you get rid of?
I mean, honestly, the Twitch is looking a little-
You can see we'll get rid of Monty.
Yeah, but I don't mind the Twitch.
Twitch is actually a good one.
Twitch Flora is both really good on this map
for clearing out you.
So you get rid of that Twitch
and you could lean even more into the Thorn, the Goya.
You could also get rid of the Ace as well.
I mean, I don't think that would be awful.
So I'm kind of leaning to,
sometimes it goes in two parts
when it comes to these bands.
By the way, short little break as we're getting,
I think the Waybo camera's refreshed
before we can get back underway.
I don't think this is gonna take too long,
but there's two ways that Tim's kind of approached the,
Well, that's actually three ways that the teams approach the bands.
But number one is sometimes they actually come in with a set, like,
we're just going to ban these three ops, first two, and then the one after
those three rounds.
Then you kind of ban based on what's hurting you, maybe, and then you can
also ban on what you think they might want to bring or play in the next three rounds.
I've seen so many bands where like they ban an op, but it never was played
in the first two rounds.
I'm thinking, well, what you ban it be, then look at the op and think, well,
that's actually a good op that they maybe want to pivot to based on the
way that they're playing or might want to play and adapt, certainly, then going into
the next three rounds and the rotation of the next sites.
But I am looking at this game and thinking, if I'm Waybo, the way that they're playing
in the opposite, they're bringing a lot of trap utility, which has been played three
times, that's a good answer.
The ace as well has been played in every single round this game and is a very strong
hard-breech operator.
You get rid of that, make it a little bit more difficult for them to open up these
reinforced walls line of sight all of these things. I'm thinking it's one of those two.
That will be the band. From Alivate's perspective, if you're thinking you might lose the Twitch,
do you get rid of the Goyo, do you get rid of the Thorn, do you get rid of some of the
Trap Utility that then you won't even really need to clear. So that's going to be maybe the
discussion. Maybe Goyo, Twitch, could be the bands? Yeah, I do quite like the way that Weber
have banned out the Twitch before. I think it was in stage one off the top of my head.
This is straight off the rip. But Waybo banned out the Twitch and the Brava, I think it was.
And then they played a ton of traps. And we actually got to speak to speak easy about
it in the post-match interview. And he kind of talked about the current matter. And he
said, look, on defense, you've got to be playing a lot of traps and you've got to be banning
them. And then on attack, you've got to ban the traps against you and then play Twitch
and Brava to try and counter them. And I think that if you want to lean into that, you can
is there's just so many other power ops for the defense, you know, what's been banned out here
might not end up affecting that at all. We'll see of course Weber have different layers,
you know, it's not just about the traps we've seen. Fenrithorn, Ella, and Goya if you want to
count him in that kind of semi-trap because he's halfway between a trap and an area of an aisle.
I think anything you can place and can be in a destroy or countered by you know your
twitches and your bravers and your floras inadvertently I think falls into that trap
kind of category but you're right I mean maybe we need to have like little sub traps you know what
I mean like it's uh not a full kind of trap-op but fits into that same category the same kind of
thinking, elevate. I mean, this has been a very interesting game. And we had a far more
interesting game last week and elevate were also involved in that one. But they were on
the other side of it. They were the ones affected. They were the ones that had told you missing
the entire game, one four versus five, seven one against Dolphin in an all time game. Now
you're playing Waybo and we've had Waybo having issues, you know, obviously their gaming house
down to refresh their cameras. Like it's an extended kind of game. 5-4 but it's been almost
up to a bit closer to about an hour and 20 minutes. It's been a long game that's been
stored out and had issues. So the back-to-back games now are elevated to be involved in something
like this, but they lead 5-4. This is a big opportunity. You've probably got a little
bit of a rattled way, but it's not been their night tonight issues with the DCs and the cameras
and having like they're not fully 100% locked into this game because naturally their minds may have
wandered to other PCs and this and that and takes them out even just 5-10% that's your opportunity
in can elevate now punish them even though they've not done nothing wrong but they're vulnerable
No for the kill.
On this attacking side, of course, we talked about the dance, plenty.
We did get rid of the ace, but we did get rid of the thorn, so we're going to see traps
brought out.
Compensate from weibo denari Ella lot of nitros as well. I think I'm really deadly here for weibo
Very hard to get into position to go for a vertical nitro. I'm just hearing if he's been
explode on a drone
Is these shots?
That is rough from speakeasy takes quite a lot of damage there from and high cut. Thankfully he survives if that was a DMR
That's a kill guarantee
I like the proactiveness though, I like the fact that Enhycal is now on the daemons too.
I mean he's going to have to be your entry player, he needs to be your biggest threat,
he can still get information for the team with the deathmars.
It's the same site too, back to start the second half where Elevate, we're just very
slow. And it's happening again, yeah.
I have to use the ash there, that's going to make things harder for Speekies on that
mirror window. He's now going to forfeit the position. Push turn, coming in to help, but
that mut jammer means that it will be shot out before it can peek through the door and
then start to deal more damage, including out more of the traps. High Cal or a Nade,
Can he get four by the back?
So still, elevated in a tough spot with that ace band.
They don't have as many good ways to try to clear out
these mirror positions.
And, well, Speakeasy, from his position,
I just want to do a lot of a win the gunfight,
is there anything you can do.
And it's a tough gunfight to win.
And there you go, 30 seconds.
It's another opening kill for Wayboot.
Oh, timing.
Ted, just nice little peek at the right moment.
and forced to Scatman.
Cattle here from Reeps, playing behind the deployable shield.
And with that deployable shield, had the advantage in the fight against Missed-the-Punch.
The Scatman falls to Gotti, Wave-O is going to tie this back up to 5-5.
Clearly some issues to elevate on this command bathroom site.
Too slow to get going, it gets called out too easily, can't win the gunfights,
and again struggling in the opening kill department in the second half.
All straight to Wave-O. They're playing these out 5v4 every single round.
round to get in these first kills a lot of these kills have also been pretty late
into the round so Wabo there for a not playing aggressive they're not playing
off-site they're not trying to contest at the doorways and windows 49 seconds
minute and a half 44 seconds and 45 seconds those have been the opening
kills in this half so if I'm elevating I'm thinking well they're clearly playing
site they're clearly playing these kind of bunker site positions why are we not
getting in a bit quicker and trying to break this down earlier in the rounds
I think that the ace band is actually part of the reason why they got sold out so much
otherwise you would just reach a larger hole onto the wall where that mirror was placed.
I did say the ace is a band, what was an option.
You did come into it and they went for Thermite instead which gets a nice big hole which is
great but the problem is you can't safely place Thermite charges down next to breaches
or mirror windows like that.
So I think that if you see a mirror being played you just have to swap to the Hibana
or go through a hard bridge system, it's very unlikely you'll be able to get any melee
touch distance hard bridge working against a system like that.
You think about the, when I was talking about the Twitch right, you're thinking about okay
well the Twitch is clearly going to be impactful. Look at our last round play, you think about
Mute A lot, well my Denari mirror, that is a Twitch's dream in terms of a life.
Except that it makes it a bit hard right?
Well, firstly that, secondly though, with the way that waiver are playing,
with essentially five in sight, well that shock drone walks through and it's just dead instantly.
Nothing new, make it clear!
I'm trying to clear the map guys, I'm saying it right now.
There's banner batteries, reinforcements and multiple roamers with traps, just don't try to do it.
This Hamam roam is so powerful, if the defence just thinks about it for two seconds,
it has two people playing it, it is nigh impossible to clear.
I like to elevate have immediately drone it said okay, this is too much. Let's fall off
Much easier to take control of horse
They don't have any vert here in this lineup aside from the shotgun from
Apology on the thermite, so it's not like this is gonna be a very heavy take
She's a good unfortunate because it means because they can't run clear of my measly
It's gonna be hard to do a lapse will take because you don't have a lot of that can be hard to do a vert take
So it's gonna have to be quite direct. I think the focus is going to be taking control of medbay
As we do eventually see the breach onto the music room wall, so perhaps
Tempting for the Hamam take maybe it's just a bit of pressure everywhere figure out the plan later
They did bring double shield in this round
So it gives them the flexibility to either move around the map throughout his rumors or hit the site directly
You say nice, but it's Reeps that gets the opening kill and James you left wondering how that's happened. I said guys, not nice
You're looking away from it. It's just flash jump amazing that that worked out
Yeah, I'll pay to say to get aggro. He's taking turd and
Finding that gap on the oven things might change
But if user is well and truly kept in Reeps's hands and
and up there he's going to have to recollect that, well Wabo get back to site.
Well Wabo's got no utility left with these three defenders, they got nothing, they're
going to be gun up, and up there he's now perfect as the Monty to be able to then push
in, they play behind him, still got a couple of flashes of smoke, an air jab, or a canister
I guess was still up and that actually did get some damage onto up there, he probably
didn't see it and speak it easy, he's played that wonderfully well with the Monty in his
That is a key battle one for Waybo that now means it's more likely for them to get to 6-5.
Surely it's not another 7-5 for Waybo.
2v3, 20 seconds. Tolji missed the punch.
We'll have to hit some really good shots to salvage this round, but elevate.
Flashbang goes out for Tolji.
He needs to get into sight, but as he tries to make his way through the rotate hole,
Speakeasy shuts him up.
to punch 1v3. It's not happening. Weibo gonna go to 6 here, they'll find match point, Elevate.
They've pushed them pretty deep, but not deep enough. They're still points away from the King,
not yet. Yeah, I mean it's uh, it's looking like it's gonna play the same
book as last week. 7575 for Weibo, F5 and Sharper are now up 65 against Elevate. And in those games,
I remember especially the F5 game walking away thinking what a great job to get five rounds
against Weibo and the funny thing is it's ever since then ever and also is also
getting five rounds against Weibo but this is the real test. Can you actually
get six rounds against Weibo? No one has been able to do that. Tactical time out
from Weibo gaming but now up six five so they've got the chance to close this
out again in a seven five fashion or can elevate one last chance send this to
overtime and be the first team to kind of get a breakthrough moment against this
King. It's gonna be tough because I thought that was maybe the opportunity to elevate in that round.
It broke the game open, they made it scrappy, they kind of drew out some of the Wayvo defense
away from the site, brought it back to 3v3, had them on T-Up, in that position needed to do better,
get more from that.
Territory bombsite attack as well, best chance that you can possibly get.
Especially after the round started pretty poorly it's impressive that they managed to recompose.
Well to be fair you saved best chance but they're going back to the one site they did win.
So that is still a positive to elevate. Maybe also hence the time out from Gohan to just kind of discuss this site in particular and isolate your focus on what do you want to change, how do you want to play this differently.
and it is in a completely different lineup.
There's not a single operator that Weibo are bringing this time on dorms games that they brought last time.
It's a full five new lineup.
So clearly they identified, or at least Gohan maybe, and maybe the team as well,
identified an issue on that dorms game site last time, and that they want to rectify it.
Yeah, great, my turn.
And as you say for Elevate, this is a chance to be the first team to get six rounds off
Weibo and over a year in domestic play.
Nobody in Asia has done it in a best of one.
That would be quite a statement for a team that has 3D players that have only been on
this roster for about a month.
Elevate have leveled up massively since their first match where they lost out to Sharpa.
Since then, they have gotten three wins and one almost win fifteen rounder.
And I mean, they have four loss against Sharper in hindsight now, it looks not completely
off.
Considering that Sharper is the, you know, arguably very easily top two team in the league,
now they're going up against the other top two team in the league and they're really
keeping pace with it.
still yet to get an opening kill in this half though for elevate look it's not
easy on fortress defense that's been where outside of two rounds so we're
into the twelfth round only twice have it has an attacking player got the opening
kill happening from weibo back in rounds one and three one of those rounds
actually wasn't even converted anyway
20 seconds in though and you get the feeling now that the time is probably going to be a factor in this round, they probably will need to get it.
Juggle completed from Speakeasy.
Yeah, that's going to stall out Elevate here.
Another moment of hybrid, in the dependent factor, get the wave break.
This is the reason why they themselves ban the Bandit on top of the Kaiyid, Elevate.
thought they could get away with banning Clash and Thorn instead which to be fair you can understand
the temptation to do that Clash against Weber you don't want to be playing against them with that
operator in their hands and you want to get rid of the traps that they're using so much but also
Weber knew how to just sprinkle it in at the right moments to force elevate into more creative
problem solving which has just brought Weber another minute on the timeline. It's a reason why
you bring twitch and flores to help deal with the bandit but the bandit wins anyway and now there's
only 40 seconds left as reaps goes searching he finds the opening kill on dodolgy god he does
fall to n-hike l towards storms they will go for the plant i'll pay to cover hang on and dig
because this plant should be successful and elevate now on the verge of sending this game to overtime
to be the first team this year to take points off weibo this is a huge moment and a huge chance
for these elevate players. Weibo need to wait to regroup, get into position. Reeps here with a
nitro cell but I don't think he has any free kills coming for him. Lot of damage on a scat man
as Speakeasy has fallen. Turd has to be the hero.
He's trying to ping so Reeps can get the nitro cell but it won't work and now Turd,
there's no time left. They've put too much time on trying to get Reeps into a nitro cell play.
They've gotten to overtime against Weibo, the first team this stage this year to do it.
This is crazy, Elevate have just taken six rounds off of Weibo in the best of one and
yes this has been a long drawn out game with a few strange technical pauses and yes the
stakes are not as high as they could be because both of these teams are already guaranteed
to make it to the stage finals.
Well, they weren't can.
They weren't they were all but confirmed based on round difference.
Well, I mean, yeah, obviously, the big thing was that the day
star, but the way that clearly we've been playing, if I was a day star
sitting back watching this game, I'm thinking, yeah, I mean, maybe we can
actually get. Yeah, yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Well, it doesn't matter now.
Yeah, it's getting harder now because Elevate, well, they've guaranteed
that they go to at least 11 points.
Daystar currently on six,
which means they would need a minimum of five points
which means Daystar need to beat Dolphin and beat Weibo.
To elevate win this game,
Daystar's out, we've got our final four, we're locked in.
Tomorrow's a dead rubber day.
I mean, we're almost already guaranteed that
just because knowing that Daystar have to beat Weibo
in order to even be competitive now.
The big thing for Elevate is just,
yeah, let it sink in that this is a team
that went from being international contenders,
they went to the Six Invitational,
when they had the Brazilian roster,
and they completely gutted it,
they decided to rebuild an Asian roster,
but they didn't have the talent there.
Yeah, they had N-High Cal, who performed really well,
even when the team was getting thrashed
in kickoff and in stage one,
Holgi had a really terrible stage one,
and I'm sure that when Elevate
were talking about rebuilding the team for stage two,
you know, they were thinking,
well, the fun that we could make more roster changes,
Mike, I really told you too.
Now he's really made a conversation about him earning his spot on the team.
You're bringing Mr. Punch and Scatman from the Old Souls heart.
You bring up out of that briefly earned retirement
since he was kicked from Weibo and now you've got a deadly roster.
And what's more, a roster that is capable of pushing Weibo into OT.
Something that nobody else in Asia has done for over a year.
And in some ways, the roster makeup, to me, is very reminiscent to Weibo.
Now, historically in this region, you've either got Thai teams, or you've got Asian teams, Singapore teams, or Indian teams.
Real mixed roster.
Yeah, exactly, but it's a real mixed roster when you've got two players from Indonesia, one Singaporean.
Yeah, so...
Now, the job's not done, and they will be double-attacked in this overtime.
To make it as clear-cut, if they do lose this you know, T for Elevate,
Now my game is to play tomorrow. They are not locked in for finals if they win in overtime
They are locked in for finals, but I think right now if we've been completely candid
Hot floor is looking pretty locked in regardless of what they start will do and
Still what we've got one more game to go tonight after this which is Daystar versus Dolphin
They mirror window being placed down as well in bombsite I speak easy
Once they've got the read of where Push is coming from he can change where he wants to put it down
He actually hasn't placed it yet. I think he started placing it, which is mine
Now there's a pretty solid idea for Weibo where the push is coming from L of A
It's a map sweep, which means Weibo should be able to put their backs up against the wall
But this horse control could be so deadly
Arpe, smokes go out. It's time for him to focus up on bathroom
Nice for White. He's gonna have to unfocus, refocus, and go again.
Uh-oh, Hynish has been swinging from Reeps.
The trade immediately from Speakeasy. Got traded back by Mr. Punch.
Flood game for both teams. Ends in favor for Wave-O as Tolji.
Last remaining attacker of Alivate has 30 seconds. The clutch of 1 versus 2,
but we have not seen many clutches so far here on Fortress.
He got a free look at God. He told you would love to have his time again
Should have got that kill and I don't think he would have got instantly traded
Yeah, so advantage goes the way of way mode, but elevate go back on defense
Dodges having a laugh about it as well
It's been a long time since we saw this elevate defense, but they did go for two on the split
They should be favored, especially if they go command office bathroom
They did not lose this bombsite at all in regulation one it twice
Though the second time it did come down to a 1v1 clutch from told you here
Unfortunately didn't have what it takes to win the 1v2 clutch and that round just gone by
Way boat have a chance to finish this 8-6
But elevate a hungry for it and our fate is informed today
Yeah 15 and 9 from up 8. The only blemish is 0-2 on the entry but that's really nothing
with the way that a lot of the entry battles have been.
You see that Weber have actually won the last 6 entries in the row. It's a miracle that
LFA have even competed in these rounds when they lost 25.
But it's also the factor of, and this is what I said before, it's defense so you could
label it the team but defensively through 13 rounds played it's an 11 to 2 split in
favor of defensive opening kills here on Fortress so elevate go defense time for them to get
that opening kill break the streak if they don't way we're going to have a really good
chance here to close this out 8-6 although Hoven is 1 and 10 this game he has at a stinker
Some would say they dropped the wrong player. Not me, I wouldn't say that. I think that
Holland's a great player, but I'm just memeing.
Weber decided to go with the Monty for this attack. He flirted with the idea of three
three different shield operators in the first half. When they did play the Monty, it was
actually one of the few rounds that it worked. Sometimes it's just about creating safety net
and armor guard to form up behind. The speakeasy here, he can enter pretty safely here. The
drones come through as well. Spot that mirror window. Spot Scatman playing it. But Hoven,
0-6 since the re-host, another death for him. He has won an 11 right now, and you can see in the ultra, he's having a terrible game, having a laugh about it, but it's going to be a kicker for HoVin.
And I cal still the only elevate player with an opening kill is not fine
All on defense all that make a turn that's a little bit of a misplay
Get the sense that
This should be seven seven as long as elevate hold out. Don't make any mistakes
Don't give way boy opportunities get back into the step that is a crazy shot from Goddy
And that's probably what was needed for way boat some individual brilliance
that they lost Reeps and he is the definition of individual brilliance
body and turd to play behind the Monty
We're getting close up into the bomb site now, we're getting near the two cannon and
it's pretty easy.
Got a breach from Ace, Gotti has opened it up, hoping for a chance.
Hoping for a free one here, Haldi is low HP, hoping to try and be able to move the plant.
That is genius!
I love that!
Persevering Gotti together ensure that they will get the kill on Dutaldi through the drone
hole now, there's a chance for Weibo.
Yeah, and good information being acquired by speakeasy. That's a little headshot angle and after the first two bullets and high cal
You move you realize all we can see me you keep standing there
He's eventually going to take your head off as up a false of the pistol of speakeasy
Mr. Punch needs the one be three clutch or wave boat will close this out. No tea
And I think with the pressure coming his way. It's not gonna happen way more get the win
they keep winning they just do it all the time but this time they were forced into overtime
for the first time. I kept saying time but all these words just have time in them.
Yeah first time in a very long time that Wabo have been pushed so close but they keep that
undefeated streak in this year is almost unblemished for them little side note. I love to see Hovind
chucking the GG easy in the chat there where he goes 1 and 11 he knows it as well. This little
play there that was definitely the opening up moment there for Waco at the end of that game.
A tiny little moment, just a bit of my new show where the call over is, hey,
turn, come throw an aid here, I don't care if it gets the kill or not, I just want him to move
and Gotti gets that kill, that's huge. Just thinking does this change anything for
elevate if it had a beat an OT loss or a regular loss the one point kind of
imagine it really shifts the needle too much because the expectation really I
guess was always that elevate we're probably gonna beat at five tomorrow
damns that that would have put them to the 13 points that would have meant
regardless as to what they start to they clearly couldn't have been overtaken
anyway so the one point probably doesn't change too much it still means with
day star if they can beat Dolphin comfortably and then get the win tomorrow against Weibo.
They could still have a path into the top four, but that would be on the premise of F5 feeding
elevate tomorrow and day star beating Weibo tomorrow. And both of those results would
be unexpected. So that's their only real path left for day star, which to be honest, they
don't deserve to make finals. Look at that standings. 18 round wins. LA's got 38. Weibo
43 sharper 40 32 to fury 18 round wins and they still technically obviously they're gonna go play against Dolphin
So they'll probably get to 25 when tonight is all said and done
But the numbers don't lie. They right now the stage they've had they don't deserve to make top four
But if they did they would deserve it because of what is required
It would take Miracle for Daystar at this point, but elevator looking really good
That said it's Weber who won the game in the end and I think for most of us the question
is more about why is it the way they were taken to OT for the first time in a year?
Why is it that we saw them look mortal for the first time? Because you said they're not invincible, they are not invulnerable, right?
They have weaknesses. We've seen that. We saw the 7-5 to F-5, which was a real surprise, a 7-5 to Sharper,
which is a bit more forgivable considering Sharper are looking so sharp at the moment.
But of course for Waybo right now it's about how can they improve their form going into states?
Well, let's go to our interview. We will get to speak to Gotti after the win Gotti
Congratulations on the victory against to elevate
Obviously you guys are playing finals you're into the top four that's already done
So it doesn't really mean too much in terms of the result from this game
But it has now been three games in a row seven five seven five eight six
Do you guys pay too much mind to the scoreboard results and how close the games have been in terms of your overall general play?
Do you feel as if you've got room to improve going into finals?
Sorry guys, that's okay. Goddy, can you hear me? You're all good. Yeah. Yeah
Three games in a row, Gotti, 7-5, 7-5, 8-6.
Obviously, you guys are winning these games,
but do you feel like you've got to find a way to improve overall?
Yeah, we should, like...
So it's also my problem.
I don't know why, but I'm getting some entry deaths.
On the early round, I think we are...
I mean, include me.
We are not talking that much.
You should set up the goal fast and fast, like next step, next step, like make the priority
bit.
Yeah, I think we need to improve on it.
Yeah, it seems like the team's feeling a little bit more pressure than usual at the moment.
Now I'm looking back at your stats, you say you got a lot of entry deaths, you only got
one entry death in that game, and you only have three in the entire stage at the moment.
So maybe don't be too hard on yourself, but I've definitely noticed and I think a lot
us watching have noticed that you are playing a lot more in an aggressive
role than you used to or at least you seem to be in the action a lot more
than when you first joined Weibo and they said we just need someone who won't die.
How do you feel like you slot into the team now that you've had a really long
time with the team and obviously been to EWC and multiple you know
performances at the very top level. Do you feel like you're still figuring out
exactly what the best balance is between you playing aggressive and you playing more passive?
I know like definitely like we can play 5v5 more so it's a good thing but
still have things to improve and fix so yeah it's hard to say something.
I do want to ask actually, what was the issue in the end that caused that disconnect of
the entire team?
Like this city, I'm not going to say the city name, but this city has internet I think,
like even if we try to connect the cam link, right?
just I don't know why but it's instantly linked to some random gamble site so like
every day it happens every day just game just disconnected I don't know why we
have the we have like two or at least two or three different internet machine I
don't know can I say that but yeah I think it's just bad well God he hopefully
the internet gets better over time and certainly for you guys going into final
hopefully can get back to your very very best but it is still good that you guys
are getting the job done regardless so congratulations again on the win and
best of luck tomorrow. Thank you very much. It's always a strange one when you
kind of talk about WAVO in these games James 7-5, 7-5, 8-6 the reality is
though they're still winning these games I think we have become accustomed to
them just dominating and that if they don't dominate something's wrong but
But it's also a good sign that these teams that are challenging them, making the region
overall better and then adding in the context of the maps being played like Lair and Fortress
and starting on the attack in all three of those games, I think that also plays a factor
into the scorelines.
Yeah, a third-in-a-facet, and also, I think, just to your point, I think it's a good thing
that the rest of the teams in this region are catching up and getting better, and while
labor probably a little bit somber at the moment even just noticing the interview. I mean, gosh,
he's obviously a very different person. Now, someone like Speakeasy who's always joking around,
but when he told everyone to shut up, he sounded pretty serious. I liked it. I liked it. I wonder
if perhaps the rest of the team was having a little bit of a conversation about why that game
went to overtime. Potentially. At the end of the day, it was not a game that mattered to them,
right in the grand scheme of things but they're the kind of team that where it matters is the
long road ahead to the Osaka major and making sure they're going to be the best team possible
at that event thinking that maybe that could be the best chance to win a major in what is a kind
of home region we are going to go to a break we still got one more game it's been a really fun
On either stage, we'll see what Deystar and Dolphin have for us on the other side.
Oh
Best 2 まあで言ったときは
めちゃくちゃ嬉しい
反面なんか今回のソルトレークの話になっちゃうんですけどやっぱりその慢芯
So I decided to join the D.D.D. because I wanted to be a player.
I've been playing C.G. since I was a kid.
I don't think I can stop playing any more interesting games.
I can't stop playing C.G. until I win.
I think I was born in a very small age, so I lived in a car for about 3 years.
I didn't want to be different from other people, but I think I was able to grow mentally as much as I could,
as much as I could do ballet and basketball.
Yes, I think my brother is not very good at getting sick, or maybe it's a bit strange to say the same thing as a normal person, but he treated me the same way, so I'm really grateful to my family.
Yes, the team is the same as the family right now, so I want to say it, and I want to fight.
I think I can do that right now without the team, so it's important.
Yeah, I think I played well in the games I won, but when I lost, I was like,
Why are you losing? You're too weak.
Yeah, when I was told, I was angry, so I said,
I'll watch it next time. I'll watch it every time.
That's it.
I
the game. Welcome back to the
final game this evening of
Playday Six Asia APL. We return
with Dolphin Esports versus
Daystar. The daystar has been a
really raw stage. In fact, James,
we were kind of looking back
both for the team and the
organization. You know, when
came into APL, it was actually the very first stage
that they finished at last with a very old different roster.
And I believe that's the last time
that they've actually missed finals altogether.
Now, their results sometimes were either second
or speaking into finals, but still made it nevertheless.
And so this is new territory for this organization
and it's looking very likely that they will miss finals.
I mean, in terms of what is needed for Daystar now,
Effectively they must win their final two games. They also then need f5 to beat elevate tomorrow. Harambe's hope is just that
Yeah, exactly right. There's such a minor chance. It's like that moment in the Avengers where they're like, what are the what are the chances?
What are the chances?
But you know, there's Dr. Strange doing the thing. He's looking to all the possible universes, etc, etc
etc. The long and short of it is that Daystar can't afford to make any more mistakes, and
that's rough because this Daystar roster that we've been talking so much about this stage,
I mean, they have had such a phenomenal career. A lot of these players have been so high.
They've been to international events, Pika and Souffle, the OG for that old Dire Wolves
call way back in the day, but it's been so long since they've tasted the top. This was
the stage when they were meant to get a chance to do so, Jake. Of course, they made it to
Back to back events, Six Invitational, Salt Lake City, back when Asia got two slots, Six Invitational they qualified for because they won the last chance qualifier for APEC beating out some phenomenal teams in the region.
And then after that, Asia didn't get a second slot to international events anymore, thanks to EPs, performance beating Weibo at Salt Lake City, and then Deystar immediately started to fall off, it almost coincided with the region losing that second slot.
They start ended up losing to Team Orca, the now Sharpa roster, in the lower bracket final in stage one.
And it's really just been all downhill since stage two began. It's been quite an embarrassment.
Really, they won their first match, 7-3 against Leftovers.
And then the game that I hyped up so much, and I was so excited for Daystar versus Sharpa,
it was meant to be the battle for second, ended up a 7-0, and Daystar haven't done much better since then.
They need a lifeline now, but the same can be said for their opposition.
the game. They have a lot of
action often. Look Jake. They
haven't won many games. In
fact, they haven't won any
games. They got a point off of
F5 in their third match. But
outside of that, I mean, this
is the team which hasn't won a
single game all year. No, they
haven't. Look, they've had some
games probably two in terms of
competitiveness and opening
to F5. Well because the alternative is the 1-7 loss to Weibo, the 2-7 loss to Sharpa and the 1-7 loss to the 4-man
elevate. So 7-3 next to those results is quite competitive. You look back at stage 1, they got 7-1 four times and 7-0 once.
Yeah well I mean it's been rough. I don't think we need to lay the boot in. It's been rough. I probably
I don't really expect a starter win this comfortably, but I do hope for Dolphin that they can make something of this and on the horizon is actually a match tomorrow against triple nine.
So just maybe show against maybe another team around their level that they can actually compete. Let's go to the Beatles though. See where we play to reiterate the day start.
The round differential doesn't matter anymore. So the initial round differential discussion was around Fury, but Fury got their win over triple nine.
the 12 points now and then of course look if there's a little bit of a
solid there that you do probably want to still keep that in mind as we head to
Chalet that Daystar in an ideal world win comfortably just to kind of keep that
round differential alive but I think if anything what is the only real path
remaining for them to make finals is winning tonight somehow getting three
Every point has to be 3 against Webo tomorrow and a 5 upsetting elevator.
It's an unlikely path, but it is there.
It's in front of them.
And in some ways they control the majority of that.
Starting here and now, they start.
If they make finals, it is an all time run.
Let's see how it begins and we'll then tomorrow figure out where it ends.
last chance here for Daystar, any mistake and they're done and even if they do win 7-0 in this
match Jake and then 7-0 tomorrow against Waybo they still will not qualify if Elevate even get a
single point against F5 in their match tomorrow because Elevate will win out on round difference
even if Daystar win 7-0, 7-0. So it puts Daystar in a really sad position, a really tough position
where their fate is no longer in their hands and it is a very sad end to a hard year, a year
that should have been filled with promise, a year that started with their closest rival at the time
in elevate, completely gutting and changing their roster. It was Daystar's chance to step into that
obvious second spot in Asia and it has been far from that. Now, Dolphin on the flip side looked
to take on a wounded day start to get their first win of the year in tier one, the first win ever in tier one.
Looking back in hindsight, the one result that stands out, and this is the thing for these group stage games,
it feels like you've got a long time, it feels like you've got a lot of chances.
One little slip up here and there can have a big turning event.
So that loss against Fury last week was that turning event.
It was 3-3 and it was on this map of Chalet James
And it was actually a pretty good first half very competitive quite back and forth and then the second half
They still go on the defense, which is funnily enough the side they start on and got zero rounds
It's a 3-3 half and Chalet you go defense and you get nothing from there if you go for straight attack
Not only do fury then get the three points. You don't get the three points
They go plus four round if you go minus four round if and the gap opens up
But if you were to have flipped to that result and add in the hindsight
Fury would be right now on nine points after their win earlier today and day start would actually be coming into this game on nine points and
The round differentials would be pretty much identical
And then if they start would have gone on one this game
They go to 12 fury stay on 9 fury play sharp at tomorrow jobs done. That is how close
these leagues and these best of ones can be that a single result such as that
against another competitor changes the landscape of your stage overall. Now you
can look at other games but that one game is an example highlights the
importance of every single player day every single game.
Oshale is a nice small congested map.
Great way to play Amonzi here for Tenno as he wants to jump in, sees Soufflé, a little
bit of a drive by, back up the solar stairs.
A lot of teams like to go for solar takes here and really focus up around that big window.
I like the way that Sunstrike's made the vert in the basement, but this is just a very old
strat.
Maybe the opening pick is Pika? Is this enough?
The good news for Daystar is that this is not a dead rubber for them.
If this were a dead rubber and they couldn't qualify for final stage,
I'd be thinking, well, I don't even know how you can play these games.
How much do you want to try? Care? Are you going to make roster changes?
Especially stage 2? All of these things come into the equation.
But for them, this is must win and win big, because there is still, even if there's a 1% chance, you play to the 1% chance.
And look, a minute 20 into the round, not a lot of contact from Apple like Chalet, a little surprised, but it's a Zuki that gets the first pick.
Suflay to follow, there's the run out from peek and nicely executed.
Sunshine will get the trade, but out of position pushing up West Main.
It does actually hit the Asher on to seal them in mind.
Wow, that's a good shot.
is winnable I mean I was about to say here we go daystar decided to take six
days to wake up but it's not gonna be the fullest round it was looking like for
a hot minute still very grim chance for dolphin in this round Sunstrike was
just fishing from down below they start smart they should know he's low on HP
come on oh my god wow oh my goodness are you kidding me is this this is the story
of Daystar in Stage 2. They just died a slow death. Dolphin won a single round last week against
the 4 man Elevate. They're about to win an opening round here against Daystar. Zuki couldn't quite
catch the timing. Still winnable for Azuki considering the health margin on Sunstrike.
Very very low 20 seconds not a lot of time. Clearly wants to try and meet them head on.
They've got the ping information. Azuki has to just keep on straight. There's the first one.
Body shot against Sunstrike. Just shoot him please. Don't run. Don't give him your back. Just shoot
Man there you go one bullet. That's all that needed to land that you stole get the opening round, but as some nerves at the end of it
There's not a happy around but I tell you that much holy moly you can't go up 5d2 and then make it look that poor
Come on day star guys
They just look rattled like they're playing not to lose instead of playing to win when the buck is bucking from down below
Just fight him back man
You're in that 3v2. You know the buck is 1 HP.
He actually might not know.
I think they would have known it.
Look at this, look at this. Does he know that he's gotten him down to 1 HP?
Absolutely, he does. He's like, dude, I've just lit the hell out of that guy.
Just don't play too scared. You can't in this meta.
Especially when you're out there.
Yeah, I mean, I agree with that though. I agree.
Which is also...
Even like you said, he ran away at the end. Stop running away.
Yeah, yeah, that's how you lose that, like it makes sense, but you also said it, it
almost is a symptom of the stage, isn't it?
Like, it's so difficult to flick that switch, not everyone can do it, and so if a day star,
it's all about just trying to get themselves back slowly one day at a time to their very
best.
Sure, what do they say, James?
well I mean I personally don't understand how over thinking makes
thinking I don't get that analogy well because like if you overthink the round
instead of just taking the gun fight like it makes you think it has that
make you stinky I thought you I thought you meant like smelling wise like
you just like if you're overthink you just start like admitting an odor that
stinks well I don't know usually that my apartment gets stinky when my dog
decides to roll in something questionable at the park, like today where I had to take
her to the dog wash and spend an hour in front of wash it off of her, but I don't see how
that relates to overthinking.
Like, who considered myself an expert in things like this?
I think you're overthinking this.
I feel smaller.
I'm looking for the library, I should know the seal is in here as well after those shots.
It's a circuit, another open kill.
My ears are still ringing.
There we go.
Oh, he doesn't know about silver, there's no idea.
He's just gonna vault in and die.
guy just wanted to get something seal wonderful I was one of those kind of
plays work out you've grown under a window and then you just pop up and get
two kills or think oh how easy is this game but you try that for another 90
times and you're gonna die 90 times 110% love it
shat him in in the bomb site caught off guard peeker and yeah a little nod from
Harambe, I like that. Let's keep on seeing Harambe's reactions as these rounds go on because we've seen a lot of stress on his face
In the recent weeks and while I did get to speak to him after one of the early games
He hasn't looked too happy in the more recent ones
Of course, they start having the worst stage that they have ever had since
Pika and Soufflé migrate and Harambe for that matter migrated over to this team from that old by walls roster
can understand why they'd be feeling pretty frustrated with themselves right
now. Yeah I mean I think it's a frustration on the stage. Clearly like
from their cams and their expressions and stuff they're not exactly you know
high-fiving and happy days they know that they should be winning this and
winning this comfortably they know then they've got wayboats of borrow they know
they then still need F5 to beat elevator they know all of these are against
them in the long run. All they can do though, and this is if you're in Harambe's position
as a coach, is to just kind of get them ready to perform to their best ability in this match
and then do the exact same tomorrow. Whatever happens happens. You can't think about these
pathways. That's our job. That's what we get to speculate and talk about. They've just
got to go and play a game of Siege, play to the best of their ability and see what happens.
And you know, there's going to be last chance qualifiers and things like that. The way that
the ecosystem works, James, it's sure you don't like missing SIs on points and not making
the majors and all of these things, but there are always some kind of pathway to something.
And if they start think, well, we don't need to make a big roster shuffle, we just got
to get back to work and we'll eye off the LCQs.
That might be their path.
I worked for them last year even when they failed to make it on their side points.
So that's the thing here in APAC.
Look, you sometimes can think, guys, our year has been terrible as we'll hang it up.
You know, we were talking in an Oast last night about how Chef Jeff perhaps was hinting
at the fact that maybe his career was over. Well guys, just always give it one last crack
in January, December January for SI calls. Always give it one last crack because you
never know. Imagine you're about to retire and you decide to just YOLO it and you make
Six Invitational. It's happened before. So many teams have come out of nowhere to make
SI.
You look at when Heretics made SI as well, James, and then a lot of those guys have gone
on to do. I mean a lot of those heretics players are now on GK who are performing
extremely well in EU and actually had a great EWC. So look if I'm Daystar here
this isn't just about whether or not you can make playoffs this is about having a
strong performance and it's about to be a third round of row indeed it will so
for Daystar you just got to keep it up week after week doesn't matter who you're
playing against build that performance back brick by brick you can see hanging
in the background of Harambe's camera.
The Salt Lake City Major, previous event,
six invitations, these guys have been
to these events before.
They've been to so many lands.
Don't get there by chance and luck either.
Like maybe you can get to a top four finals,
finish in a stage just because a couple of things
went your way, but you're not getting
to those international events because of sheer chance
and luck, these guys are great.
These guys are talented.
And look, their last charlotte outing was not great.
Again, when I referenced that Fury game,
didn't get a single defensive round.
And look, Dolphin have clearly struggled,
but to still get these three rounds,
very comfortably outside of maybe the,
what was the bedroom office in the first round, the Azuki,
you know, they started that round well, and then, okay,
things got a bit shaky.
He clutches it.
Since then, it's been strength to strength,
three straight defensive rounds.
They're not gonna worry about their second half
on the attack.
If they can get three attacking rounds against Fiora,
I think they'll be more than fine against Dolphin Esports.
So this is why they probably came into it tonight.
thinking this first half, we need to be really, really good.
And they have been.
They've been active.
They've got all three of the opening kills.
They've not allowed Dolphin to get into plant positions.
They've been moving around the map.
And this is the day start, James, as well,
that when they were at their best,
and you think about when they knocked off
Alive at the back end of last year
and at the start of this year in the form,
I think that's what really made them
such a strong proposition in this region
was that they were pretty electric and fun
and fast-paced team, and that was their strength.
That was their bread and butter and I think somewhere along the lines this stage that's gone missing
No, I agree. I mean this team in stage one had so much more confidence
I think they start had really strong form in stage one in the group stage when you look back
They had an almost flawless group stage, right? They won six games in a row
Final match the stage they played Waybo and yet they lost it. That's fine six wins in regulation
go into stage finals, their first game 2-0 over Orcid, they go into the upper bracket final, lose that to Weibo and then drop down to the lower bracket final and then end up losing
for Orcid in three maps, now Sharper, Roster. That's really the first time we saw any kind of weakness from Daystar in stage one.
Again, on these kind of roaming positions, getting that first kill, it's making it tough
then for Dolphin to get into the building.
It's a strength they're leaning on in this first half, you know, Sist did get a kill
back, as Seal though then shuts him down on the outside rappel.
They just look active.
They just look like they want to take the gunfights.
Whether that's a respect thing, you know, sometimes you're playing against lower quality
opposition and you think you can get away with this sort of playstyle.
But this is your playstyle!
8-1 from Pika, I mean he just looks like a man on a mission.
1-2 though for Tenno.
What can the Monty do?
Tenno was actually meant to sub out at the start of the stage for Dolphin.
They had a new player that they were gonna bring him.
Tenno was benched and...
And Tenno is here?
Yeah and now Tenno is here.
The new guy never even played a single match, and after about two playdays of Tenno subbing in for him,
admins were like to me, Dolphin have actually replaced the guy.
Tenno's down to roster, he's gonna be at half on B2 though, both swing at the same time,
good crossfire, good round, the day star, and the streak continues.
And there as well, that's good teamwork. So someone's on the BPC, bulletproof camera,
and as soon as he turns...
Trust me, I remember when me and Ghost started to call it BPC, people were actually asking
each other for the BPC.
But as soon as he turns, you saw how quick that swing was.
So that's really good team communication to play out.
What was still not an easy 1v2.
Like the Monty is quite difficult to deal with even in the two versus one.
Some Monty players in the world will win that.
So really good setup with the bulletproof camera and Tenno as well.
As soon as he turns, I've got mine, plus the BPC, easy swing, all nothing for day start.
This has been a real treat to watch and you kind of just left wondering like where's this
kind of playstyle been for day start this stage?
Not verse and gov.
Yeah, look that's an element to it.
And look, you can go back.
You can go back and look at some of their games in isolation, they got absolutely destroyed
by Sharper on Bank and Play Day 2.
That one you just cost that out as a...
That's Sharper though, like...
Yeah, and you know, the game against Alivate for example on Play Day 3, they started on
the attack and that half it's a 1-5 split.
So sometimes it's those little things where it's like, well that map and starting on the
attack, not a great day for us on the attack, we only had then two chances on the defense,
lost them both, that's the game over.
That's how quick it can be.
To me the biggest red flag for Daystar in this stage isn't even, look if you lose to
Sharpa, that's rough but fair enough, right?
If you are to lose to Wave early next match, that's fair enough.
Losing to Elevate, that kind of sucks because Elevate have kind of come out of nowhere
this stage with three new players but they have come from such good pedigree, a little
bit forgivable.
The real one that for me is the Stickler and has ruined Daystar's entire stage is the
loss to Fury because there are four spots in playoffs.
Daystar can lose to Wave-O-Sharper and Elevate and still comfortably make playoffs as long as they just beat Fury.
But they lost that game and they didn't play with any points from it. They lost at 7-3.
So it doesn't matter how good you are at farming the bottom feeders, you need to be able to actually fight,
contest with these teams that are rising up in the mid-pack, like your Fury's.
And so Daystar, look, two opening picks, looking really solid.
Pika's having the time of his life. He's about to hit double digits.
Azuki is looking really solid right now, but
Daystar are still going to be punished, haunted by the fact that they just could not
be fury in that game last week.
Not going to lie, I was actually looking at the Twitch chat because I was wondering what the
hell's going on. I saw like 20 subs and I was like what's going on? And then I looked back and it's
It's a plant versus two
Still don't know actually don't what's going on either. I mean, I'm not a random remote plant train. I
Didn't even know that was a thing
I've typically got something twitch for about nine years
Here we go, this is how you give it up boys
It's almost a repeat of the last round. I mean even the first round was a 5v3 into it
I mean those are the little things though right like you you can get away with it against
Dolphin you're not gonna get away with it again sharper and and Waybo and now
of a so at some point they've got to reflect on this and think how are we
continuing to allow these guys back in how is a Zuki isolated near big window
you know these are the little tiny little things James that make you go yeah
I can understand why they're not exactly gonna make finals but then the first
part of the round you're thinking how are they going to miss final well how are
they missing finals it's that kind of stage very hot and cold
let off the leash a little bit in this game you really should not be letting a
5v2 become a 1v2 against a bb I mean it's so close to being a wallbang there
isn't it? low hp on a bb you should not be losing let's try and maximize your
crossfire get as much little damage on the feet as you can in tenno
what little fist pump? oh! potentially will fall that's the most energy we've seen
out of Harambe in six play days.
Yeah.
I mean, I did get a dance from him last play day, James, you'd be happy to know.
We've got a little Harambe dance after they went against Triple 9.
And you know, some similarities to this game too, because they smashed them.
It was on board a 5-1 half on the attack, and they just looked like they thrived on
boarder, like the space and the freedom to do kind of what we've seen in this game from
the likes of Pika and Azuki, you know, this kind of like running around and roaming, taking
and team fights and showcasing their individual skill.
But you know, you're doing it,
it's like, I don't want this to sound bad
to their opposition, but you can do it
against Triple Nine and Dolphin,
but can you do it against the big teams?
And they'll get that final test tomorrow
and that might be the most crucial test.
If F5 can give them a chance, a fighting chance,
who's to say, you know, what can happen?
And the best example, James,
And this is why I'm never gonna write off any kind of match up or play to ever again is that arcade versus EP game yesterday
I saw that on paper and I thought James is gonna get the quickest day ever and it was the opposite
You know and so you just never know and that's got to be on the minds a day start coming into you today
Get the job done destroy dolphin tomorrow's a new day
We will then know going into the webo game if we have a chance or if it's over and
And either way, it doesn't matter. Doesn't matter the result. We just go into that game knowing we need to play the best game of our life.
Regardless of if they can get into finals or not.
It would be this kind of sick irony if Daystar end up winning against Elphin here and then
eating Weibo in regulation tomorrow.
But the opposition, you know, their competitors end up getting enough rounds, enough points
that it doesn't matter and there's nothing to be done.
Because I'm pretty sure, wait, Fury 1 in regulation today, puts them on 12 points.
Elevate 1 in overtime.
This little wall.
A-Star cannot catch up.
Elevate is having a catch up.
Knocked down another wall.
They can technically catch up, though.
I don't know, man. The maths is so beyond me.
What's the old saying, don't do math on broadcast?
Bro, we've literally all I've been doing for the last two days, finishing off those and then doing this one.
On EU, thankfully, I've got the experts.
I've got Jack and Alphama, so they can mess up the math instead of me.
Well, here we go. A bit of a fight back this time from Dolphin.
They start made it six straight opening kills.
But what we've been seeing is then they usually get these kind of 5v3, 5v2 advantages.
Now it's a 3 versus 4.
And I'll forget one here in this half of charlotte
And it looks now a little bit more likely as zits gets the angle found on to souffle and with that
It's up to pica and seal to clutch here for daystar to keep this game flawless
Remember they would still like to make this round differential a lot better going into tomorrow
But it won't probably be the B and all
as Tano is here again on to Seal. Pika won his battle over towards Solar against Zeist as the
bully of the Blackbeard is too much for Seal. Yeah it was a good effort there from Seal but
the problem is SMG-11 doesn't have time to reload that. Now it's Pika. I get the free on the
Chatterman. Yeah indeed he'll come through 40 seconds. There's gonna have to be a retake for him.
The Sun Strike is fallen all the way back into dying with a long angle.
I know there's low HP, can be finished off, but Sun Strike strikes true for Dolphin e-sports.
They finally do get off the donut and onto the breadstick.
One round on the board as they move into the second half.
The pictures of this is a low and timbane
Just here to speculate
No fear, I test my faith from
Thoughts of wonder in no way with me today
Fading into grace
See that it's okay
The pictures of this is a low and timbane
Just here to speculate
I
The thing is sure me,
Strat from gun range,
Money birds at every door.
Civil rights are such thing as peace.
Over or harder,
If we ever fight,
We ever die.
That's why we ain't seen another commerce and karma.
Who are you when you can change your fortunes on your people?
I'm tired too,
I used to blame Western forces of evil.
I'm tired too,
I'm choosing pain,
And let my hatred track to preach you.
I'm asking,
Can I really flex?
Forget the poverty we've been through,
Pop this in our section check this truth about you know his peace and I'm I still collect and I'll try protect my own piece
Well back second half up I've won lead four days start at James
we'll kind of just do the math. The old adage is don't do math on broadcast so we did it during the
break. Look I mean kind of to carry that on a little bit you know we were kind of looking at
what's there's two pathways for daystar effectively number one is what I mentioned before elevate
lose tomorrow daystar beat weibo and guess what they're in it's actually that simple but it's not
as simple when you've got to beat weibo and then f5 have to be elevate that's the most
Just a simple part of that equation.
So the other way in would be based around fury.
So if, as we know, fury are now on 12 points
with a plus three round differential,
they play sharper tomorrow.
That's a tough opponent.
That's a tough game.
So hypothetically, let's just say they lose like seven four.
So they would lose the three round differential.
They would actually be then on zero, I believe,
zero round if and on 12 points.
So that is why there's an importance here
day start a wind is comfortably they're minus eight at the moment now if they win seven one
that would put them to minus two they would then need to beat Waybo but beat them also where
they make up the round differential to fury so that's why the sharper fury result will also play
a factor and it may in turn then be quite a big miss for fury that they didn't smash triple nine
today because they've just left that door slightly ajar that if somehow Daystar beat Waver they would
then displace Fury based on the round differential. So that's the other part of the equation and this
is where it's important now for Daystar. They need to really win this 7-1 and if the more rounds they
drop here against Dolphin even if they get the three points then they lose one of the two pathways
they would have being the Fury pathway and then they would be reliant entirely on the Elevate
They still need to beat Wavera.
Well either way they still need to beat Wavera in regulation no matter what.
No matter what.
And it'll likely be on Leroy Fortress the way that Wavera have been playing this game.
And I don't think that bodes well for Daystar so they're going to have to break Ben.
If I'm Daystar tomorrow, if I'm Harambe, you've got to insta-ben those two maps.
Hey, wait for us somewhere else.
Chaddon wants to go for a bit of a round.
He's still doing maths there, James.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
it was running out from library trying to catch that player on repel but two quick kills here look
they start winning this 7-1 alleviates so much of the pressure if it comes down to it you know
trying to jump up over fury I think that at this point honestly like it feels almost more likely
that they start can go for the fury pathway but even then like they still have to beat Waybone
The good news for them is they'll actually know what's needed going into their game
because Daystar waveboats the very final game tomorrow so by then F5 and elevate result will
be known and the Sharpa Fury result will be known so they'll know one way or the other.
Miracle chance for Daystar.
Exactly or if there's zero chance as well so that's at least I guess the benefit.
And personally for me I would rather know certainly if it comes down to the thing like
I'm differential
Another good start for Dolphin here on the defense again. They start need these rounds. They need to win the 7-1
Nice shot on to yeah, how's the black be a diner?
This is gonna screw killers. Yeah, this has become very scrappy as you can ask the 1v2
No diffuser one bullet anywhere on the body should be chatting it
It's been a really good game from Azuki Pen and to 35 seconds.
You'd probably back him in, but he doesn't look quite confident.
Seems like he's actually got the ideas playing still piano, but that Chateau swing from behind
the keeper barrier is too sharp for Azuki.
That's a second round for Dolphin.
You can see the nerves there for Harambe, because he would know every round is so important
for day start.
one less round differential point in the challenge against Fury tomorrow, it cannot be bleeding
rounds in the second half. They need to close this out now 7-2. Every round they lose, that's
more and more of a missed chance to still catch Fury. Because you're not going to be
be beating way post 70 tomorrow. I can tell you that. Yeah, that's the thing. And then
for fury, it'll really just be about they can guarantee that they make it if they just
get enough rounds in that sharper game.
Well said, I mean, it's so much work over towards piano that kill onto the blackbeard.
And then this is well onto to keep huge individual moment from him. You can see the nerves for
for Daystar and this is the problem.
You get to the end of this group stage
and these games go from just being regular games
to, oh, we need this, round differential matters.
Regular game of Siege, if this will play day one,
you're just thinking, Daystar,
whether it's seven, three or seven, five,
we're in three points is three points,
but there's more calculations at play here
that change the overall complexion.
Yeah, well, look, if I was a coach of a team like Daystar,
I wouldn't be telling the players the calculations.
I would just be doing what you need
to pay them for the match, and then the right headspace.
Make sure that you know your game plan,
make sure that you know all your strats and your setups,
make sure that everyone's had a good night of sleep.
If you win 7-5, it's almost like a loss.
True, but is telling a team, is telling your players,
hey, guys, if it's 7-4, if it's 6-4,
like don't you dare lose another round,
that's not gonna help.
No, it's not, but I think going into it,
you've got to have some kind of an idea.
And the players wouldn't do that as well.
Okay.
Yeah, look, I think it's enough to say, guys, round difference matters, and the game matters.
So like, you know, we still have a chance to make it.
I want you guys fighting for every single round.
I don't want you throwing 5v2s because you think it does matter.
But I don't think you need to burden them with the maths of everything.
As they are in the building now.
Ooh, nice name.
wow this actually gets down from that killer's gonna try and pick him up
immediately how did killers take no damage in this ever one more
life so that this could escape with 20 HP yeah that's really what play from
seal though
eight straight opening kills for daystar I mean that's at least an indication
they've come to play today and they're switched on and it's just all about
closing this out as quick as possible.
Juggapayla calling to Ziz, he's now vulnerable to the docker beat. He has to
answer the call and then as soon as he's answered the call, they're sealed.
And that's a really good play. Sealed is on to the ace.
Sunstrike spotted. I'm sure Sealed will be rushing his way over towards the library
stairs and he dies because of it. Bro just sprinted. He sprinted from games up, libraries
like let me kill him, let me kill him and then he dies.
And he lost to the slug shotty as well. That thing is not very good. While blinded, the
kill comes out with the slug shotty. I must have been hit by him as well. Yeah, poor seal
feels cursed right now. It's match point though, a day star.
So if they win this now, 7-2, they go to minus 3 round differential and Fury are currently
on plus 3 round differential.
They play sharper tomorrow to Fury.
So there is a world in which sharper could really smash them.
Like that can happen.
Sharp has been a really, really good team.
If it's 7-3, 7-2, then Daystar just need a 7-3.
Just need a win.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So defenders protect your body.
But the problem is, there is a world.
This is the unfortunate reality for Daystar.
There is a world, James, where F5 beat Elevate tomorrow, and Sharpa beat Fury 70, and the
doors wide has been even for a 7-5 win against Weibo in year 3.
The problem is, the two caveats above as unlikely as they are, it's actually the very last
one that's the hardest, because I just still don't know how they're going to beat Weibo.
When was the last time someone beat Weibo in this region again?
375 days.
Yeah.
Sorry.
Yeah, sorry.
The strake has to break at some point so it could be an all-time day tomorrow and it could also be a snoozefest. There's no there's no in between.
Oh sure, I mean look I think Weibo are gonna be under a little bit of scrutiny in the end of the day.
But hey at least they warmed us into it with the OT today.
Yeah, it would still be unbelievable.
Who was the last team again that beat Weibo in APAC?
Sorry, in Asia specifically
Was it elevate was it the Brazilian elevate team in the upper bracket final that was a few days prior to I think it was
As if you come back with the answer being Daystar, there's almost a bit of
That's not quite as perfect and neither is that great run after Shadow did eventually get caught by the air jab and azuki then was able to follow up
That's actually a very interesting air jab that it was I think was on the pillar so the run out was available and
Then he got hit by the air jab because he obviously had to run so far
Still enabled him to get that opening kill which for what it's worth is very first opening kill from Dolphin this entire match
And they've got the extra player because of it three versus four again every round the day star is so important
It's the other side helping out solo
I mean this is still like to the point where do you even think about maybe trying to sneak a plan?
If you just still down by the well as if he's finally got back from the run out in catamon
It depends on what the vert's like for Dolphin, but Kitchen Dining here could be on, as Seal's
in Kitchen, they know it's a three stack above.
Oh, right side.
Oh, we just spotted him.
That's a little fortress for Seal, and then he holds the angle, but Zist's pre-fire swing
through the hatch is great.
Azuki was thinking about that plant, the half gone direct, and the drop down is quick.
Turn the peeker left.
Anyway, he wins this round now. 55 seconds is to go above and then try and clear out these defenders that are still above, but yeah, it's unlikely and time is slowly running out.
I'm the call
Pop down till
He's the kill killer and then play down below
I've got mine straight away
Yeah, this is probably unlikely
If killer's less smart, he drops
He just doesn't play second Florium
Well, there's no need
20 seconds, get to a bad spot
Play with your team
I mean prone behind the beds
Probably the second option
Just force him to have to run and clear you
let the time dwindle down. It stood up, gave him the head, 10 seconds, the other two can't
die, so the round is done. That's another round that Daystar can not get. So 6-3, it's
two extra rounds. Now, you think about Imagine a World in which they beat Waybo tomorrow
7-5, but miss out by like one round differential. That would be heartbreaking. And you look
back right here now and think, well, we could have probably won this 7-0 the way that they
going but now it's 6-3. Again probably a product of the stage overall for Daystar.
I mean what Daystar, every round that they lose here is one more round that they have to win
against Wave-O today, tomorrow. Kind of dependent on also what happens I guess with Fury.
Yes. If they get 7-0 and well then Fury would end up negative 3 or 4 or whatever it may be,
maybe negative 3. I mean yeah Fury could end up negative 4 and then as soon as that happens then
and Daystar just need a regulation win of any kind and they'll make it through.
Right now, the live round differential tracker now it's instead of...
Seven rounds apart.
If Daystar win the next round, then they will be negative four.
Well right now it's...
It's minus four now, the best that they can get.
Exactly.
That'd be on minus four.
Which means that there's seven rounds between them and Fury.
Right, at the last three.
Which means that Daystar, wait, who has the head to head between Daystar and Fury?
Fury does, right?
So you can't even match it.
You have to exceed it.
Yeah, exactly.
You've got to beat them by one round differential as well.
You have to go above them.
Which means...
It's looking very...
It's cooked.
Like, Daystar could be Weibo, 7-3, but Fury lose to Sharper, 7-4, and then they'll be tied
on points and fear will go through because we go to the next tiebreaker after a round
difference which is evident. And then they start going to be proper kicking themselves
for not beating Fury. Unless F5 beat Elevate before those games and then they go through.
So I mean like this is the thing but they should have probably won this game 7-1, so
maybe it would have taken 0 but you know and these are the little things that can come
back to haunt you and also the extra confidence that you could have taken into it tomorrow
going into your game against Waybo, understanding what's that round difference we're going to
matter, will it or not, starting to matter a little bit less though as we've now given
up an extra two rounds to Dolphin.
Bedroom and Office again as well which was successfully won by Dolphin to start the second
half.
I came down to the Chateau 1v1, over towards Piano, and the zombies came down, so they're
not going to hang out the same way as last time for Dolphin.
The deal is the Dockaby, which has had a little bit of influence in the last two rounds,
but I don't think it's a major loss.
I actually bring Ying for the first time in this half, which is the execute utility they've
brought, actually, this round.
Maybe the best they've brought this entire half.
But it's a chateau with the only opening kill. Back to back, opening kills and chateau.
The dolphin are not done. And with every round the day start give away, it's less and less likely that it will be able to overtake fury.
It's good news for fury.
They start trying so hard they saw a freebie onto Sunstrike before and they got him down
to 1 HP.
He's just on for a roam down below as Zuki will cut him up.
There's another one roaming.
It's Chathamn.
He's been the devil at the start of these rounds for Daystar.
The lineup doesn't really help them on the roam, there's no daimos, there's no solid
snake etc, so trying to chase down a soloist is gone now, basement, that's pretty difficult
to do with the op lineup that they've brought, they've brought a lineup to execute into sight.
Yeah, that'd be hard.
Exfit will be a bit easier now that the Azami's banned though, but you're right, the roam
clearing is much harder.
I like what Tenno's done there, great example of using the door just for area to not have
the time to lay out.
got the door, prevent people peeking the balcony door and you got killers to hold on to piano
with the smoke so that's two ways to learn time here.
Desperately in need of a pick here for Daystar.
They need to just start throwing utility out and just trying to hit the site here, especially
since they know the solace is still not back as it really popped up and get the kill onto
Sun Strike, he was the one that was low on health, would clear from Sufley inside of
Althus, find the pick towards Piano, there is Chateau, first floor kill on Tewizuki,
that's been at this place.
Chateau can't stay in that position, the flame will spread, push him out, he actually
hit the headshot onto Yeow, that's insane.
Chateau could win this round if he can deny the plan and he may get that chance, that's
it, they've won it, it's 4-6.
Time's out, Sufley could have planted but it wouldn't have mattered because the timer
would have got to zero and the chatter would have been I was just run straight at him.
It's another round for Dolphin.
For what it's worth. This now has gotten to a point where forget about round differential
discussion. That's not happening. Fury is going to be going into the top four.
The only path now left for Daystar after they've given up far too many rounds to Dolphin now
is going to be hoping that F5 will beat Elevate and that they can beat Waybo. But quite frankly,
James, it's six four versus Dolphin. You're not beating Waybo tomorrow. And this is just more
of the same from Daystar, they got out to a 5-0 lead, they were dominant, we were in
podcast mode, and since then, since that moment, it's a 4-1 lead to Dolphin since that 5-0
start. This is not great. And if this goes overtime, they're just out. They're completely
out.
And that round, everything was going right. The only problem is that the one player who's
below is the solos, which is the worst possible player that it could be to try and deny your
planets. The reason why Daystar overheated and had to try and push out against that nor
why they had to floodside. So credit to them for knowing, okay it's a solos below, we can't
just go for a passive plant. They essentially had two options there. They could have tried
to plant passive while sending a player to jump down below and kill the solos, but the
problem is if that player dies and doesn't deny the solos, then your round is simply
over and also abandoning a player on the bomb site is a huge risk because what if
the solos rotates back upstairs but they start regardless they decide to push
deeper and deeper and the fact that golfer manages to steal one kill from the
north and then another kill before the plant goes down from Chatham and
rotating up on the solos it just I mean it it's well this is it takes we're
going back to buy games this is the only site that they start one on the attack
in this half they lose this round at 6-5 and you're probably going back to
kitchen dining which they didn't look pretty good on either so this is now
very nerve-wracking for Harambe. You're five mil up Dolphin last week lost 4v5
to Alivay and they lost 7-1 and you've got a Zuki playing an all-time game he's
13 and 5, peak is 14 and 7, seal is 10 and 8 and that's not anything to do with
and yeah but like how dominant the beam yet it's only 6-4 and with a pretty
good chance now the dolphin can get this to OT and completely the night they
start any kind of final Cinderella run
I have no idea what kind of airjab you're trying
this is a weird weird start here from Azuki, that airjab ain't gonna kill him even if you knock him up on his butt
Florez as well I mean this is not the perfect way to clear him out of the corner
you know capital exists it's not been banned they've been bringing on other
bombsites they bought it last round I don't get why you don't bring capital
here and clear out Sunstrike in this corner and their Florestrone dies as
well they have just spent all of their Ratero drones trying to clear Sunstrike
out of this corner and done zero damage they finally do a little bit of damage
but it's actually just with the gun you can't really go direct because you
haven't cleared out Sunstrike if Sunstrike were dead or cleared out maybe
Maybe you could think about it with the stall out on top library, but him holding that position, he can watch the hatch, so...
There's a clash, like, you're not in this clash, but you just round all the uterm.
You got 60 seconds.
I can't believe it kills you, you can either, but...
I mean, I kinda wanna say I don't see how they start to win this round, but...
I don't know.
See, just the kind of game where you can just have five players pushing in and everyone...
There you go. Catches the timing. There's the kill.
Nensu flay out. That's why I didn't want to say it.
That's why I didn't want to say it.
Technically, I said it, but in a way that I didn't want to say it.
So you hedge yourself.
But they're going to flawless it after all that play, hell.
That is the worst play I've ever seen.
Are you kidding me?
James, is that not like the worst two minutes of a bar game attack you ever seen?
and then the next 30 seconds it's over and flawless from it's over they said
I've done it seven four victory for Daystar a moment they have been searching for Jake
they have been fighting battling against all odds but they get the job done
I don't know what they say like painful a flawless finish as well how
there is some hope and it means that at least for tomorrow's broadcast we're still
not fully locked in for finals and it does mean for elevate but to get the job done against
f5 you don't want to leave your you know your spot up to fate and to chance so it also means
for fury they need to be competitive against sharper all of these things now matter so it
makes at least those games matter because we won't know of course for day-start waiver until
the very last game so i'm personally happy because i'm working tomorrow and i hate nothing more than
and going in on a playday seven and the final four
are fully locked in and none of the games
literally matter at all, but it will matter tomorrow.
For Daystar, there is some hope.
And I guess from a playstyle perspective, James,
there is still some hope that there's a good team in there.
Those first five rounds was just, that was clinical.
Really good seed from Daystar.
They've just got to find a way to get those five rounds
that they've played to start Charley
to just be the way they play in general.
I don't know what happened after that, whether they switched off or whether it was just Dolphin giving one last hurrah.
Let's go and ask Harambe and get his thoughts after the win.
Harambe, it looked like a very stressful day. We do get a dance, but it's a soft dance.
Well, 5-0 start, you guys looked absolutely amazing.
And maybe some of the best seeds all stage long. Those five rounds.
And I know you could say, well, Dolphin, but it doesn't matter what Dolphin or who the opponent was.
was what you guys were doing was great. That's what you want more of. What happened after that though
when they won four of the next five rounds and you were just bleeding rounds and it got a little
scary? I'm not quite sure what happened to the individuals because I feel like the calms are
there and the plans are there but execution is just not on point. I think it's about the timing
issues stuff. Yeah, look,
obviously, it's been a rough stage for you, Harambe. I remember talking to you after your first match of the stage and it was such an optimistic time.
You had a really convincing 7-3 over the leftovers and then really hard since then.
Technically, though, it is still possible that you guys can make it the stage finals and therefore you technically can still make it to the
a soccer major. Maybe you guys are just doing for the plot. I don't know. But there's still
the sky is the limit for Daystar, right? Last year, you made it to ESI.
No regrets, it sucks now.
It does, man. It does. But of course, you're going to have to hope the stars align. You're
going to need to beat Weibo in regulation. Obviously, the team is not firing on all cylinders,
but anything's possible. Weibo got taken to OT by Elevate today. Like realistically, like
What is the game plan for taking on Weibo? How do you balance the fact that you're going against Weibo and you don't want to put pressure on your players?
Also, you need a regulation win in order to make it to the Stage Finals.
Yeah, we definitely need the win, but I just hope the players won't take that as a pressure on themselves and just choke tomorrow.
You know, I would just tell them it's another day of playday.
It's a player game as usual.
And what we do in scrims, and we should be fine.
Because we have game plans, so I think we're pretty sad.
I can't talk about that, you know.
Harambe, are you, I mean, I would imagine you're kind of aware of the route
to get into finals tomorrow, outside of just having to clearly beat Wayboe.
Round differential against Fury.
They play Sharpa.
F5 need to be elevate all of these things other players aware
Have you spoken to the players at all about sort of what's required when it comes to that or is the message simply just around
Especially going into tomorrow to focus on the game and whatever happens happens and just play your best
Yeah, it's it's more like more like I just happen focus on the you know on the game and
Me and eclipse will worry about how things should be
you guys. What do you think
about the last one as well? So
if you guys don't make finals,
obviously that would be
devastating and all of that. But
do you kind of still keep in
mind that the future is still a
long road ahead? You've got S. I
L C Qs next year is a new year
more time to improve, you know,
more time spent in scrims and
getting better and all of those
things. Is that something that
make finals, would there be potentially changes or anything like that?
What's the mindset or is it something you'll think about maybe when there's a clearer picture?
Um, I think we will discuss that after we know the result will be, because we just
have to focus on the game tomorrow and right now really like anything in the
future is not something we should concern. Yeah. That's the correct answer. Harambe,
very well said. Anything you'd like to say before we let you go?
Tune in tomorrow. We'll see. We'll see. All right. That's a lot tomorrow, Harambe,
against Wavebird. Thank you guys. And for yourself as a big fan to us,
obviously we hope that you can get success tomorrow and make finals. We'd love to see you there.
All right. Good night, guys. Good night.
Well, Harambe's hope, it flickers James. It stays alive, but tomorrow a new day to see whether or not that flame, that hope will be either extinguished or if they can climb the mountain into finals.
It's a very difficult task that lays ahead of them, but I'm going to say this. I just want you to, I want you to see, I want to see if you can agree with me or not.
If they win tomorrow, make finals at,
okay, well, nevermind.
Apparently James has gone to get his, like, gear package,
but all right, I'm not gonna get James's opinion.
I'm just gonna say what I feel.
If they can win tomorrow and get into the top four,
and it goes their way and they beat Waybo
and all of these things happen,
I think they could actually make Yisaka major.
Is that too far-fetched?
When you, because when you think about it,
I have to beat Wayboad tomorrow to get in, right?
I'm all for the FOTA armor, but-
I'm just saying.
It would be the most insane level of FOTA armor
I have ever seen.
But the fact that there's two spots
to be a Sarko-Major for Asia means anything is.
If they can beat Wayboad tomorrow
and get into finals based on either the pathway
of the round differential with Fury or Elevate,
drop the bag against F5, the same.
to be on. And that's probably
something that might give them
some level of hope going into
tomorrow. There's still that
pathway to the major, but it's a
long way to get there. Our MPP
for the day is a zoo key James.
He was the clear stand out
across all of our matches. I
actually went back and had a
look at the games that we had
today. No one came even close
in terms of an individual stand
out other than a zoo key and
14 and 5 in this game, 91% cost, 4-0 on the entry, a standout performance in a game where
they needed standout performance.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, like you said, every single round mattered against Alfin today and while Daystar
didn't get the 7-0 that they might have been on track for, they needed every round they
could get and there's a big impact from Azuki, 14-15 kills by the end of it.
We'll look back at the recap for today's matches. Sharp are comfortable over F5, which doesn't
bode well for day stars. Of course, F5 have to play Alibate tomorrow, who took a point
off of Oweibo. Fury, triple nine, probably expected Fury to have won that more comfortably,
but did get the job done, did get the three points. If that had have gone to overtime,
would have made tomorrow even more interesting for day star seven, four for day star over
Dolphin probably should have won a little bit more comfortably, but good not so we'll have a look at the standings ahead of tomorrow's
final day for Asia James
Weibo are locked in sharper are locked in but fury elevate neither of those two still locked in just yet
And both need results tomorrow fury just need rounds. They don't need the win, but just rounds elevate actually
would only need points if they start get the three points against Weibo so that
would be the and they won't know if they need it or not I'll just go into F5
which they're the favorites for that game I imagine they will likely win that
game so I'd be very surprised if Elevate lose to F5 tomorrow knowing that
there's that small chance that if they do lose to F5 they could miss out entirely
it's a classic case of the fate is in their hands for both Fury and Elevate
Which is exactly where you want to be and all they got to do is take points away from their games, and then there's nothing that they start
I know where you want to be James. It's
Helping on in four hours time is it three hours time for EML
I think it's about sorry
Tomorrow we've got also see an L that's gonna be on
15 hours and 46 minutes. I don't go anywhere stick around for the next 15 hours
So that's actually why I thought I heard email that it was cnl email cnl
It sounds the same
Absolutely, I haven't actually managed to watch a lot of cnl often. It's on at the same time as APL
So I think I need to try and catch some that especially see keep tabs on our old mate back and and see how he's going
Yeah, the other a pack players as well in there. Yeah, and they do be a threes for all the group stage
So I'm sure that they're qualifying teams for a soccer major
Yeah, they've got still I think quite a bit to get through over in CNL
That's us done for today though James, and I believe you done for Asia
Considering I should have Michael back tomorrow
Yeah, okay, I don't know you have Nick. I'm not on so I'd rather Nick anyway, but anyway
It's been it's been a pleasure James. Thank you everyone for watching for tonight's broadcasts tomorrow
Same time same place to see whether or not it's fury elevate day start making finals. It's a big game
So big matches. It's gonna be a nice night tomorrow night for play day seven to close out Asia
I
