I've never seen a man like this before.
Needless to say, I'm sure I'm sure I'm sure
I still feel so low
It feels like home
It feels like home

It feels like home, it's so familiar in the pattern
Like where and then I'm by the way, I'm the moon
Move to you
I say you rise to make it matter
This train is bound for...
She's the girl
I'm going to kill you.
You're a sucker major, Tuckly and the Crows.
Hey, listen, you excited?
Hey...
We'll meet again.
We'll meet again.
We'll meet again.
The
best
person
for the
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the final definitive play day of stage 2 in APL
Asia so much on the line tonight. It is going to be here or miss potentially
guys as we enter the final dawn the day star to see if they can make it top four
as we come in tonight. It is of course, elevate and fury that occupy two spots in
the top four, but it's only occupied. It's not locked in like sharper and
way, but a lot to get through tonight for our games. But good to have you back.
Yeah, absolutely. Of course, that Waybo Daystar game, which could define Daystar's season,
is at the very end of the day, but their ability to even make it into the top four will be
pending the results for them in those Fury and Elder Games, respectively. So they'll
be sitting very nervously, I imagine, at the moment, watching the stream, seeing if that
last game is going to mean anything, or if it will be a dead rubble.
we get into tonight's action, we will have a look at CNL and how that league is performing.
And certainly a team to keep our eye on is all games. I mean, they are running this league
pretty comfortably at the moment, as you can see, via their results. And of course, names
that are now slowly becoming a little bit more familiar to the global reach within
Rainbow Six, having gone to a couple of international events for us locally. Of course, we've known
about mc for quite some time and both these guys are performing well and when it comes
to the cnl region one of the benefits that we've always been speaking about since its
introduction has been the fact they play a lot of best of threes and while we haven't
seen that translate internationally just yet you get the feeling at some point eventually
will absolutely again they have 15 play days as opposed to the seven that we have for the
ap l sub regions for instance played a nine currently live you can find the details of
over on Wikipedia. Of course all gamers haven't been completely unbeatable. In fact, actually in
the previous playday which was false last week, yeah they lost to one coin currently third in the
standing. So it should be up to be very competitive and of course we're from Oast so it wouldn't be
wrong not to give a shout out to EDG of course picking up Maptain heading into this stage. He's
been doing quite well and they'll be hot on the heels of all gamers heading into the rest of the
stage so it's a no shaping up to be exciting and looking forward to see who makes it across to
Asaka. And of course resident Australian Korean international minger and the coach or one of
the coaches for Edward Gaming. Look I mean I think the region is slowly but surely going to get to
a very good point. You've got to remember this is the first year really so it's only been year one
and they've already had international experience.
We're starting to see a couple of bits of movement
when it comes to team players going over to the region.
Initially, of course, it was always going to be
a couple of players from the APL region.
But I think over time,
you'll start to see that becoming a little bit more expanded.
And when that happens,
you imagine the region will go from strength to strength.
Tyloo in fifth, by the way,
you think about that's a roster with Songla and Jaquie Wu
and how much experience they've got, and they're in fifth.
So it really does sort of highlight there is good quality within CNL that's slowly being built up and can see how they will perform in 2027.
Certainly the next major in Osaka.
Let's go though and return our attention to APL and with that, we'll go and look at the standings coming into the final play date tonight.
So Waypo Sharpa, they're locked in.
They're done and in terms of the one seed and the two seed as we've been saying all states long kind of irrelevant.
So I don't think either of them are going to be thinking what we've got to finish first.
Fury, Elevate, what do they need to do tonight to maintain their place?
Fury plays sharper, so that's a tough ask, but it goes without saying guys, any point will do.
But certainly making sure they don't get smashed and that round differential then becoming a factor.
So that's the task for them.
And for Elevate, they do need the win or at least getting a point.
So into overtime would also be pretty much just as good.
So those are the two methods to getting into top four.
They're in the best positions and for Daystar,
well, they need the opposite for those two
and they need a win for Wave, against WaveVote.
Yeah, Daystar's chances of making the top four,
I think we need to make it very clear.
And unfortunately, it's not a very positive read.
It is incredibly low.
They need quite a lot to go their way tonight
and they need to beat WaveVote,
who have looked absolutely in top form
and haven't even dropped a map at all
across this stage. It doesn't get much harder than this for Daystar. Nothing's impossible
though and again they'll be sitting on the sidelines nervously awaiting the result of
a second or third things.
Well let's go to our feature round which was off the back of yesterday's game between
Dolphin and Daystar which had its own little fun behind it. I don't know if you watched
this game, guys, by any chance, but it was a 5-0 start for Daystar and they just looked
absolutely amazing and thought maybe they could really make up that round differential.
But often then they were able to strike back and actually at 1.1, 4 out of 5 rounds and
were really making this a contest and potentially off of this clutch here from Chateau then became
6-4 and I was starting to think, well geez, this could go to overtime.
And if that happens, they start out.
But they were able to lock in, win that game 7-4, but a nice play from Chateau in that
feature round but certainly as we head into the schedule for tonight it does
now at least make tonight a little bit more interesting because if Dolphin had
of sent it to overtime tonight would have been a complete dead rubber but
it's not it's anything but that instead we start off with a little curtain
raise it between Dolphin and triple nine the two teams at the bottom of the
standings that will be trying to end their stage with a win and then we
enter the juggernaut, the gauntlet. So elevate F5, they'll be up first, elevate
knee points, if F5 win, Daystar your path is now suddenly open and that's what we
can take away from that game. If elevate win then their final path will be
sharper, demolishing fury as much as possible, 707, 172, that kind of
territory. With that they would then have maybe an apartment. If they beat Waiver
and beat them well enough to make up the round differential they could then
still make top four. So going into Waybo Daystar at least because we will know what's required
or potentially if there's zero chance of it. Absolutely, again not impossible but highly
improbable. I actually think that F5 taking down elevate to leave that path open and certainly as
well I suppose by extension Fury also losing to Sharpa. Not super duper unlikely I think that's
actually pretty a pretty reasonable possibility of one or both of those to occur but I still find
find it very hard to overlook Weibo. They've really gotten a lot better in these kind of
matches, these kind of points in the stage of being super disciplined. And now it hasn't
been at 100% in every single game across this stage, but it's been good enough to get results.
So I don't think they'll be wanting to head in to play us in any kind of bad form with
any loss or anything like that. That might be messing around. So that for me is going
to be a tough prospect for Daystar, even if the door is left open. Actually capitalizing
is going to be a whole different story.
And we'll touch on waiver later on because their form actually has been quite shaky leading up to tonight
Let's go to Dolphin eSports though our first team for our first game
And they have had a very intriguing stage what I had guys, of course
You think back to that one seven loss to elevate against the foreman
Elevate look they at least responded a little bit after they were being shown up quite comfortably last night against a star fight
down and look, they were able to get themselves back into that game and show some good quality,
but it's been a stage too far for these guys. What it'll be though is a learning experience
that they can move forward with and figure out what they need to do to get better throughout
the offseason. Yeah, absolutely. Again, I don't think it's been absolutely overwhelmingly negative
for this particular team. They've had some pretty good results across the board and
showing some glimpses of competitiveness and of course with the group stage and the being
a total of seven play days all best of ones the experience is pretty limited and that's why it
is so difficult for teams to come into this sort of level and you perform straight off the path
that comes in well it's going to take time actually and so I think I'm actually most
intrigued to see if they stay as a roster as a core going forward I think they probably will
again part of that probably is also going to be contingent in terms of allocation going
Or it might be more difficult for some of these guys to remain motivated if it goes back to a one-slot region for instance.
So that's certainly going to be a consideration that I guess in contrast to that point, they have quite a distance away from making Port 2 anyway.
So I don't think it will be hugely determining, but yeah, excited to see what they can do today.
I'm hoping that this kind of result will just kind of match rather than look at it as just being an opportunity to get a win.
If nothing else, the implications are very minimal.
I'll worry about divulging those later.
It's not really a whole lot to gain from winning this game,
but a win is a win.
I'm sure it would be a nice feeling
if it gets to be off-season.
Well, triple nine, their opponent
have gotten at least a win this stage.
Don't need to find that here on the final day.
Their solid, the only win that they got
was actually quite solid against Nalovate, too.
You know, so top 14.
So, you know, 8-7, it went to overtime, but they've been competitive.
I think, you know, getting three rounds against Sharpa,
five rounds last night as well against Fury, which was a very fascinating game to play.
I expected them to roll over against Fury, to be honest.
And you can see on that scoreline, four-nil down, five-nil down.
I thought they were very much going to roll over,
and that would have been massive for Fury in terms of the round differential.
But by triple nine fighting back as they did it was then a case we're coming into today for fury
It's a little bit like oops like now the round differential is going to potentially play a factor in that sharper eSports game
So credit to triple nine because you get to this point in the stage the final week
It's very easy when you fight you're down to just probably concede and and want to move on with the rest of your night
But they fought back and so very similar stories for both of these two teams from last night
Last night's games where they both got smashed in the first five rounds
Both were squandered and they both walked away with a competitive loss
But now as they play each other tonight, I'm curious to see how it's going to develop
Are they a little bit more equal than we realized or one of the two maybe have the wood over the other?
We'll see last night actually, I don't know if you saw guys
But I did bring up the fact is so what just reminds me a lot of that like he just it is
It's close. I think it's also the camera position. I don't know, but James got a good shot.
Look, I've been really excited by the energy of triple nine. I mean, that carries back as far as when we James and I cover them in the due to final in the community bootcamp.
These guys have a really exciting brand of siege. And they've definitely been taught a lesson at their first introduction to tier one that they can't play one for one.
one for one but I'm hoping that they can find and strike that balance going forward. I like the
prospects of this team I'm excited to see if they can get the win tonight.
I will see if they can get the win tonight or not but one of the players that we are going to focus
on and highlight here is Miku who look I mean I don't know really what to say he's had some good
moments throughout this stage, like probably many, when you play enough games of Siege,
he's head to head with Chateau. It's probably quite a fair comparison, I think for two players
throughout where we are now, play day seven. So a lot of games have been played. I think two players
that have certainly brought our eye from these two perspective teams, which is usually going to
happen. I find when you have players on teams that are towards the bottom, you typically see a
couple that really kind of stand out. And I'd say for these two teams, Miku and Chateau are the ones
that have really kind of caught my eye throughout this stage. So keen to see in terms of that head to
head who will prevail in this final match as we head into the back veto.
Now let's roll the rule back table. We'll flip the coin I suppose and it was between laps lair
lair B. There's a pretty heavily structured map I thought it would maybe be something a little more
a little more breezy a little more chill and especially for the attack. Maybe something
I can't like a shallow board, but they've got taken out pretty early in the piece terms of lair
It is the second most popular map here in the Asia sub region fire plays thus far and each house
Pop house by one which has a pretty cool old six
Let's definitely improve the thing because map these teams. I think will be pretty comfortable here
Fortunately, there is a form of the best an opportunity tonight to fight
We'll get this, a grand total of 30 SI points because unfortunately 7th and 8th both walk
away with the same prize pool, but we can get 30 more SI points, not that that will probably
mean much, but it's a high 2-0.
No, I mean this is for all the intensive purposes really, it's just a battle of who's not the
worst team in the region, you know what I mean, who's at least second last?
Actually, actually let me refine that point because there is a world.
Let me run the numbers. Yeah, if triple nine actually smashed Dolphin here and then F5 go on to get beaten down by Alivate,
triple nine could jump up one more spot. Now in terms of what that would mean, it doubles the prize pool and it's an extra 40 SI point.
So if there's any incentive inside of the server to gain anything, especially monetary value, it's for triple nine to dominate this game
and then hope that F5 gets smashed later tonight.
I can't, I mean like you're not wrong. I just can't imagine that's something that they're gonna be going into the game
Oh, no, they're not but we're casting Jake. We're gonna make this game somewhat exciting
So I'm looking deep under the iceberg right now
Well, I mean if we want to make this
Exciting it's not so much actually about the teams in terms of Triple Diner Dolphin. It's very more a case about the players, you know
I like
Them their bottom two now who knows what they're gonna be stage two next year. I mean
You think about when we were kind of running the numbers last night, me and James, when
Daystar, the organization first came into the region, they finished at last as an Orc,
and then slowly made changes and got that team to a point where it could make international
events.
So, now, of course, admittedly, that team changed quite a lot to the point where actually
Daniel didn't think there was a single player remaining, but it goes through an evolution
process of change.
And who's to say, maybe from triple nine, Dolphin, they make changes next year.
eventually by the time we get to stage 2 2027 maybe there is two or three players
from one of these respective teams and they're fighting you know top two in the
region so that's what I was kind of looked to is what's the future gonna
bring for Asia who are these players and are they gonna be able to be mainstays
or are they just here as a flash in the pan because we've also had that there
been many players that have kind of come in for a stage or two and then we don't
ever see them again over the last five to six years but I think in terms of these
teams respectively and their head-to-head graphic was great. I mean I think Chateau is someone that
could have a really strong future, Niku as well. Shiba is substituting in tonight.
I don't know if if you touched on that or not but worth noting for triple nine they are playing
with their coach. Shiba of course former player.
And honestly pretty big loss because it's J-Doc that's come out and he's actually been
pretty solid for triple nine this stage so look she was not going to be unfamiliar when it comes
to playing but yeah Jadok's a decent loss for triple nine yeah she has played one map so far
this stage i don't think i can pull exactly about game that was went three in ten so it was a little
bit uh rough for him but again zero pressure on him to perform tonight and so he might just be
given the license i think to run around play comfort ops and hope that he can offer a little
a bit of value to the team in terms of the bands for the first half, Azami Chankot and
Ace Snake. And it's looking like a pretty straight forward opposite hit at the moment
from triple nine. They do have a bit of a split threat elsewhere, courtesy of Sobot, Blackbeard,
Zaxa Lobby, lacking the structure at the moment.
Oh wow right at the mirror window, you're butt sticking out and that's an easy kill for
Sunstrike.
You'll take that if you're Dolphin starting in this opening round and get rid of the Black
Beard and Staxter also will go down the Chateau, a little fight back for Miku, but down to
just two players remaining for Triple 9 when you've got the Clash of the Doorway, window
up.
Miku finds the angle.
It's actually the razor blade from Shadow that gets the kill, but I think he's, it was always going to die once the push out came from Dolphin and Sheba now, the solo remaining.
I was trying to find the headshot on to kill us. 45 seconds 1v2, but Shadow gets the angle through the doorway and it's Dolphin to take the opening round.
Yeah, something to work there for Dolphin. Good start.
But anticipating this game probably more than likely to end up being pretty defender-sided.
So we'll see how that actually does develop over the course of the half.
Obviously a good start on the primary site in terms of the numbers for that objective.
I'm curious to see what they are in Asia because it has seemed to be a little bit flip floppy
from region to region as to how it's kind of developed.
And yeah, well, definitely much more defender-sided than probably is the baseline actually globally.
74% in favour of defence. Something that's been played 19 times, that's not a massive sample size by the means, but
That's definitely pretty impressive. I'm having a look as well and it looks like Weibo have screwed the numbers quite a bit, but
Yeah, yeah, so maybe not worth those numbers for the rest of this particular game
I mean Weibo have only played Laren Fortress this entire stage. They have just hidden their pool perfectly, they would be laughing.
And I was talking to James about it last night, but I mean, it's really the best way to prepare you think about a lot of the maps that
they haven't been playing they're actually really good on and
I was looking at kind of what they played at EWC
What they've now played here, and it's not even remotely close
So then you think about once they get to the Isaka major
And they start bringing out their clubhouse and their bank and you know, they're shall a and teams would be
Thinking well, what VODs have we got on it? Well nothing from the stage because it's just all fortress and land
And they're obviously the level of team and the kind of team that will put the work in in
Screams and Void reviews etc to bring new things when they bring it out at Osaka
So I think that's gonna be intriguing to see how that plays out at the major
Provider they get there. Just like oh, it's gonna say get a head of yourself
They'll do be fair when you look for top four. It's a it's a 50 50
All teams do slots that literally
Although technically it's a 50-50 in a one-slot region because you either make it or you don't.
The Rome game came deployed here from Dolphin in this particular round.
on one split. One strike on the top floor, Chateau over to Walls Reception, those two
can be hard hitters. Alliance game though to keep them at bay a little bit. We'll get
some supporting info from the pulse this round so that could be an interesting element.
They don't play too heavily in terms of the nitrous holes this round, just the one for
10-0. And I don't know if it was a pre-placer or a loaner, I haven't tracked it, but I would
expected them to maybe go a little more explosive and could expose them here into the
and shield combination and it's triple nine to draw first blood. Yeah it's the only two defenders
in the site as well so I mean this is free real estate now for triple nine. Plant will go down too
late for Killers, Chateau and Sunstrike to get back and it's the risky run to dolephan when you
want to expand up to this first floor but you kind of leave those two site defenders isolated
against the vert. These guys needed to be a bit more proactive especially once those boogie auto
breaches started to open up the floorboards why are we not converging on this location
while they found two kills post plant with the Monty up on Sheba oh my god please
oh Sunstrike had to find that head shot that would have made it a little bit more winnable
I just don't see how they're gonna get back in time here 17 seconds on the clock already
with the Monty still up there should be triple mine taking the second round as chapter just sends
it looking for the guard break couldn't find the shot stacks to the cover and time it will expire
after Dolphin.
It was a good attack, I mean definitely I think fair to criticise the responsiveness
or lack thereof from the defence, got to do a better job in being more proactive in countering
the vert or finding the means to deal with the Monty.
I think they definitely lacked probably quality utility and that left them pretty exposed.
And then even once they did retake vert again, probably not extracting quite as much value
as they would have liked.
Very difficult and tricky to hit opportunity for Sunstrike.
when you get caught above a play directly above like that, it looks really awkward because
you can't literally look down far enough and you got caught out there with a bit of bad
timing, but the rest of the converge back onto the site was a little bit slow, taking
a lot of fights in about a 5 second window, they needed to hit some very low percentage
shots and then transition immediately onto the kit, so yeah, it never really looked like
Dolphins around, and the storm's up next, I'm excited to see how this site develops,
Again numbers obviously skewed given how weibo's playtime on the map, but this one's very close to 50-50, so
This will probably be the medical break site for both teams over the course of the map
The
triple nine played there yesterday against Fury and it was that first half where they
were 5-0 down on their attack and got one right at the end to make it 5-1.
defense was then pretty solid in the second half but because that scoreboard got so blown out they
just didn't give them sales enough runway to probably finish off that second half and maybe even
get it to overtime you know seven five game against fury you think about now doing this against
dolphin you've already got an attacking round on the board so I kind of give them the early points
here this this is already looking far better for triple nine than it probably will be for dolphin
But then the same could be said for Dolphin and their game, but on a different map yesterday
against Daystar when they struggled in that first half too, but that was on their attack.
Both teams will likely struggle more on the attacking half than the defensive half, so
if triple nine get two or three attacking rounds, statistically you're probably then
backing them in to go on and win this game.
Dolphin, as he said on certainly the tertiary side, you've got to win this, you've got to
go back top floor win that 3-1 lead and try and close the half out with at least four rounds.
Just a solos in play here, no warden. Speaking of the solos, taking an early fight, quite risky
given no warden, means you really do want that solos you till up from the late round, but
then calculated in the end from Chateau does net the open pick. I suppose now with Capitab
out of play, you don't really need the warden anymore. So, Chateau's not a great job to get
a big target out of play on the side of triple nine. He will continue to try and fight for above
control. Chateau gets a second, a third, and not quite the fourth. Well, I'll tell you what,
shout out to Prod for the head-to-head graphic, because Chateau's seven and two now, and he's been
easily the best player in the server, and Miku's probably second-best, even though he's only three
I say only he's got the second most kills in the server. That's following the storyline pretty nicely
I mean it just ran right there
I mean it's one of those circumstances again where you will see a key operator in the van utilize take a
a very early fight. If Shadow dies there, the first thing we'll be saying is that was
silly why is he picking that, but because he wins the fight and takes down the cap of
the tower, it's a case of, oh that was good and basically won them the rounds. I don't
know what led to him being in a position or what prompted him to go for the pick. Because
we didn't capture it, it's impossible to say. Maybe he did find a genuine opening that
was actually a favorable fight, in which case it's probably a pretty high percentage play,
But if it was just like a fluke wallbang or an overpeak that he got rewarded on or whatever then
Again against the better teams you're going to be punished. So
Just be careful that though if it is a bad habit that it doesn't continue
But again, if it was a good play and I mean clearly it was in that instance, I suppose
more of that the better
Pop floor we return often in the lead
Triple nine looking to maybe lean into some kind of sense here. So this could be fun
time to redecorate.
I was just looking at Chateau's age actually, he's only 22.
So I think about KLZ coming through, Chateau coming through, the talent coming out of Thailand
is still coming up in a pretty good level, to be honest.
They've got a factory down there,
and they've got some really good Siege players
that just keep getting pumped into the Asia ecosystem.
We were talking last night to like Hollis about
his thoughts on KLZ,
one of the new 18-year-old young gunners
and his performance.
And I mean, to be fair, like Hollis sort of said,
he needs a bit more time,
maybe not to the same initial level
someone like peeps when he first kind of broke through but that is clearly a
talented player and you know that the Thailand region is looking really strong
for the future in Siege. I've chatted to the list to be honest. I gotta win this
site though get this to 3-1, get themselves a bit of separation on the
scoreboard and then look to rectify it.
Raceman after this. The double shield band blitz now it's gonna be important
So what? Nitrocel didn't connect from Gehler's just also to fall to Miku.
Miku is putting in a solid game so far for triple nine with that straight into R6.
It's a minute hit into this fourth round. No denial.
It's a fast back hit from triple nine and Dolphin.
Well, they weren't ready for it.
Gehler's tried to play the Nitrocel to deny the entry, but he was a little bit too late.
Triple nine committed, pushed forward.
It looks like they're going to steal this top floor and this is a disaster for Dolphin.
Kind of just Shadow and Sunstrike, but didn't check his corners. Miku will punish
made it back again from Sunstrike, but needs the ace in the post-plant and only has
basically 10 seconds to find that which is not possible. She better make sure of it
and triple nine will get themselves a second attacking around here on land.
Yeah, it's all work. I mean, I'm loving the intent from both teams, honestly, you know,
not shying away from playing with a bit of aggression and flair, which is nice. We're
seeing it on attack and defense. I mean, there's been a couple of occasions where the defense
is roaming around and then the attacks being able to circumnavigate that, or in that instance,
saw a direct hit which was great. It's not obviously the most creative play I feel like
it's now been shown countless times at this kind of level teams utilizing the sense and
playing the blitz front line and getting aggressive but it does rely upon the team being decently
well coordinated. Being able to isolate a couple of those defenders early trying to capture
good timing and evidently they were able to do that. And so the SQL line will equalize
to a piece. So they have to be a competitive match again to reiterate the stakes of this
matchup. 7th and 8th, same prize pool although there's a 30 point difference in terms of
a side point but that's largely going to be relevant. Triple down though in a position
to potentially double their earnings this stage but they really need to get a wriggle
They're trailing F5 by an 11-point round differential, so they are looking for a dominant result here.
Unfortunately, starting on the attack half has probably made that unlikely.
Yeah, exactly. If they even go 7-2 here, they would go into negative 15.
They'd then be relying on F5 losing basically 7-0.
It is still technically possible right now, but very unlikely.
It's the same technicality in regards to Daystar's path to get into finals. It's probably very unlikely, but it's there.
Probably even less likely than Daystar making the top four to be honest.
I mean, I would say it's more likely Elevate can win against F570.
Yeah, probably.
Well, F5 have actually shown some great competitiveness this day, so even then I don't think that will likely happen. I'd be very surprised.
I wouldn't be surprised if that 5-pointer went for the whole man's save.
Oh, here we are in Shadow again on the move, couldn't connect on the second shot fully to Juve.
He stays alive on one health point.
That's actually a bit of a turn here in this fifth round because it's now 4 vs 3, 4, 9, 9, when it arguably should have been a 4 vs 3 for Dolphin.
Nice fallback from Miku, did take some damage, he's low along with Juve.
Yes, a full full back, free basement.
Two guest babes to the defense, Nantra already expended.
So, Kilos needs to be really careful in this kind of situation that he gets maximum value
from the smoke especially if those two attackers low.
The smoke can be a hugely influential operator and in some ways does stabilise the round a
a little bit here for the defense, the player disadvantage is not as crippling, it isn't
actually one that's gone up, but the belt of the util here for the attack probably does
make up for that HP if the likes of Staxter and Sheba are enabled here, so I don't think
it's necessarily tilted in favor of the defense, but there are win conditions here, but often.
I think a big part of this wind condition though is very much staying as hidden as they possibly
can but then finding the right time to strike.
Yellow ping on the plant going down.
What a lot of room to move.
The gas phase is too late though.
Now Shiba will get that plant down, also down very low.
But to be honest with the first floor hold from Miku, this is still going to be very
tough for Dolphin.
They lose the first challenge, they lose the second challenge, they lose the third challenge,
and Miku with the double from first floor.
A big round from him, and triple nine have got themselves the lead and are looking pretty
good here in this match against Dolphin.
They're keeping that sixth play stream alive, what can I say?
Probably can't afford to lose another round, so let's see if they can mount a streak, Dolphin
to call their one and only tactical time out. So we'll have a quick chat over what's
gone down so far and how they can look to stabilise this match a little bit. Not that
it's certainly not out of control just yet, but it is of course the only time up until
this point we send back to back rounds one by a single team. That's the two primary sides
as well, one out by the attack. So it's pretty impressive from triple Narmoth they've been
able to deliver in the last couple of rounds. They could mix up a pace right, second four,
correct, let's, it was in on the action. The second round not quite as much but definitely
still getting good tempo and good map clearance courtesy of the shield and a couple of other
moving pieces so I mean if I'm in Dolphin camp I'd just be having a chat as to what they're
going to do to deal with let's. You could see them go maybe more trap heavy, they've
only been playing the thorn largely at this point in terms of traps so they could really
look to play heavily into that, bring the Denari back and solve around to the Lucy, maybe if
they're really struggling. So yeah we'll see what they are up for in terms of defensive comp going
forward for this final round of the half. Not quite sure what's happened, maybe a player
dropped but a technical timeout has been pulled and hopefully we'll resume in a moment.
That's a banger!
Hey, what, we've got some really good shins on the APL.
I would say that we have some good ones, but we also have some horrible ones, so we definitely need to get back to the workshop for 2027, make sure we get that sort of, keep the good ones and get some better ones in.
There's always room to improve.
So, 8 and 4 from Mirko, 8 and 4 from Chateau, both have lived up to the head-to-head graphic,
which is good.
Sometimes those graphics can be a bit of a curse, sometimes they're a blessing, they
are a blessing.
Don't forget as well for Triple 1, they are playing with their coach.
They've basically lost their entry frag, it's like, J-Dog, I don't know what the reasoning
is, but, I guess the sheep is someone who's got experience being here before, done that,
It's not too much of a loss, but it's flying to J-Dog that he couldn't finish off the final game of the stage.
I couldn't find actually, I was looking at the Wikipedia page for Mika in terms of how old is he,
because age is a factor naturally, you know, it's one thing if he's, you know, 18, 19 or if he's
25, I've got no idea. He looks quite young, but his only history really is
from the start of 2024 in terms of the elite community series and so only the last two years
of play and the first team he'd essentially joined full time was that
Elevate Academy at Rostar earlier this year. Didn't really play too much in
2025 so 2026 has kind of been his first real year
and then to end the year at least playing tier one siege
and making a name for himself that's really good to see
out of the Philippines.
kind of talk about we obviously did a lot of us this stage for the group stage
and the sort of prevailing theme was around these new players coming through
these young gunners and seeing the pathway from tier 2 to tier 1 well for
Asia considering they actually had two tier 2 teams enter the ecosystem made
that even more evident as to you know who are the next talented players coming
through Chateau Miku both showcasing that here on the final playday and what
that means might mean nothing might mean they get picked up from a different
team who knows what it means but I think some things to remember with these
games is yeah triple nine and dolphin as a respective team each I'm gonna gain
anything really from this but as the individuals who want to forge a career
ahead these games matter you know you want to showcase your ability in tier
one.
Alright, let's jump back in.
Often not looking... yeah, I mean comparatively to the rest of the comps, it's a bit more trap-heavy, we've got the Alaphorn combination.
We'll see if that has a more direct impact on to the Blitz, which has been a really good
job in gaining some space and making it quite difficult for Dolphin to sort of battle that
back as we lock our vision here on to say what, pushes down Skybridge, green control,
we get a ping for the clear on utility.
So that's greensight control here for the attack.
It's obviously a good start, a long way to go in terms of being able to battle in towards
the objective.
Again, just the solace wall plant and all, no warden from Dolphin much like we saw last
time.
Execute utility here for Triple 9 is interesting, no cap of town, but they do have the las and
in combination with the blitz, that's going to be a lot of smokes that can be layered.
And off, let me see that glass be a really good pull at countering the solos, and especially
when you're not taking the warden, it's a big risk for the defence.
Stacks there with the opening kill for triple nine, they're just starting to really become
quite dominant here in this half.
If they get a four to attack lead, it's not actually giving that chance because this is
what you were talking about before in terms of getting a good round differential in the
fight for sixth place.
Ah, Ziss, just losing that battle.
And the Sun Strike lines are double, one with gun, one with the razor bloom shell and with that we are tied 3v3
45 seconds left here for the final round of the half
We're on site position here though from Sun Strike
You can hold the fridge. Oh, that was an opportunity mister. Oh, no
They at least have the solar still up above and smoke for the dial. Yeah, and it's shadow on the solace
We know he's more than capable
The fact that the plant also has not gone down just yet.
One gas babe for killers.
Shiba.
Is he going to walk right into Chattow?
I'm going to get someone to maybe contest him.
Shiba's found a way in, over towards Bung's Chattow.
Oh, he's looking, he can't find.
Oh my god, he hits the headshot.
On to Staxa, drops down.
Thought he was going to get that kill, but Tube was watching.
Almost a little highlight from Chattow, but almost won't get it done.
take a 4-2 lead heading into the second half as they switch to their defense.
Alright, we head into the second half. We'll see if triple nine can close this out on their
defense, which Le'er in this region has been very, very defend decided and we've seen a lot of it as well.
I think that's the early expectation and Dolphin now switch on to the attack, a rough half. I mean
competitive and a lot of the rounds were relatively close, winnable for both teams, dribble line,
get the edge and probably now going on to their defense look likely that maybe they can walk away,
not only with the win, but also a comfortable win just to give themselves a fireless chance for
that sixth spot. So if this ends 7-2, they would end up, was it minus 15? Round differential?
So, what does that mean for F5? They're on minus 9, and they obviously have their head to head,
so we'd still need to lose 7-0 on the dot, right?
Yeah, obviously F5 have the head-to-head if they draw a round, so.
Hey, still more likely than they start making top 4.
That might not age well, that comment.
It might not.
I will see.
Because after this game, that's exactly where we turn our attention to the run home for
the teams in the top four. This being the Curtin Racer, a reminder this game doesn't really have
any implications. You are effectively just trying to see, can Dolphin find their first win for the
stage? They do have a point, but only a point. That one being from an overtime loss.
People nine of course got an overtime win against Alivay already in this stage searching for their
second, but also I guess searching for their first regulation win and close the stage off on a high note.
Yeah, look honestly, it definitely hasn't been the worst 7-8 matchup I've ever watched.
It's genuinely been quite good, so yeah, let's hope that the quality persists into the second half.
And interested to see Dolphin in particular, if they're looking to exploit shield play as much as we saw from Triple 9.
Triple 9 were pretty relentless in the amount of shield play that we saw there in the first half, particularly the second quarter, if you would, with rounds 4, 5, 6.
They built the Blitz each round, and it had a 100% success rate.
So we'll see if that's a tool that Dolphin would like to bring with the Grim Daniels
banned out.
Full shields up and they will play the Monty instead here for the opening round.
On the side of defense Clash, Shankar, burnt out.
So that means that the smoke has a pretty big responsibility in the half, similarly through
the first half in making sure that they're able to get value late round but out into
a chank at a call.
I mean going back even to what you were kind of talking about regarding the quality of the
game, the lineups have been sound, the fundamentals have been good, clearly both teams have got
a really good grasp of the basics.
It's just means really it's all about refinement going into 2027, doing the basics bit better.
Sheeper just gets caught there by zists.
They tried to get rid of the Ratero.
I just don't think that's ever worth it when you're the smoke plane main stairs.
That's a big loss.
That's very helpful now for Dolphin.
Yeah, absolutely.
We'll see if Dolphin can punish that error.
It's not just all from Staxter.
He'll be looking to have a large impact with that.
See if you can keep this push over towards main stairs at bay.
Utility though, in response from the attack, pretty well layered.
Stacks to force back got caught on the timing, might just sell out of play.
Give it a bit of fight back though, we'll see if triple nine can win despite the deficit.
Mika does still have an impact grenade as well, potentially for the Monty.
There's also the Balkan canister still at the doorway with 35 seconds left.
I'm surprised that Dolphin have not popped this.
I mean, surely they've seen it.
It's literally right in the doorway.
You can hear it now, and it's going to waste quite a bit of time.
The high piece now for Dolphin that with the extra player up,
they can just flood the site and overwhelm.
Love the keeper barrier to block the re-entry after the Monty
means Tenno finds himself briefly.
Tube gets rid of Shadow, Niku then gets rid of Killers,
push up onto Tenno, time will expire, triple nine will take the round in the three versus
four on the top floor as Dolphin ended up just succumbing to the ability to get the
plant down.
They looked very stalled out, that Vulcan canister that was in the door for such a long time,
blown up with 18 or 19 seconds left.
Man, the others couldn't really push in with the Monty.
Tenno gets in, but then the keeper barrier blocks the rest of it off and it all just starts to unravel, unfortunately for Dolphin.
Really well played by Triple Knight.
I've heard it is a TeamSpeak DC, so nothing game related, but hopefully we can get that play back into the DC.
Resume proceedings, yeah, pretty clutch round from Triple 9.
didn't look great for them especially at the beginning but it's a good fight back
it's a good tack there from Miku and being able to isolate the Monty there
in the shield just created a little bit of an awkward spacing I think there for
Dolphin who then entered a bit of a scramble mode there late round the
coverage wasn't amazing there onto the Monty and they have lead picks at a
pivotal moment in the round which proved costly because for the most part they
set themselves up pretty nicely considering without the chanker on board
it was going to be a comfortable position to try and get that up plant down, especially with the smoke dying first.
They have laid down the groundway basically perfectly for the checkblister.
Basically, if you skip the final step, getting to that final step doesn't guarantee a round win,
and clearly they're just losing key battles.
It comes with confidence and time playing together as a team, like that's the kind of round you really should be winning.
You got afforded a very good early opportunity smoke die in main stairs
Forged you the chance to then get mezz control a lot better
And then with the mezz control they were able to then start to hit the site
But just kind of fumbled it at the end credits triple nine
It's four straight rounds now to triple nine kind of started off the first two or three rounds is
Get get in that sense of feeling it was going to be maybe a close game. It still might be but
Dolphin are running out of chances now with triple nine on defense up five two. You get the feeling
They're pretty much in the driver's seat to close this out in a comfortable fashion
And with that round one as well still on for the elevate
70 over f5 need to win the next two rounds to hope that that's a potential reality
I think that's going to be likely as we had to basement now for the eighth round
pretty good lineup for dolphin solid snake for the first floor clear and then
double soft bridge with the sledge and the ram which does mean for triple nine
need to be contesting this first floor
a launcher from she better try and keep tenor would they but he's able to
It does nothing though if you don't yeah, there's no follow-up on it. You're just wasting charges
But I mean you've got five of them and
You can say it's delay which it is
It's not a lot of delay and it's also little to no damage now. It's down to three charges on the Horus launcher
The best way to play really with the gnaw is to have actually someone else with you
So you Horus launcher into the shield and then the second player
plays off that and if the Blackbeard can't get around the corner he's pretty much dead.
Sunstrike fights the opening kill on Miku, that's an important kill for Dolphin.
Comes to one of the top players for Triple Knight, Shiba ends up getting the kill on to
Killers, has this solo nil. Realizing he can't fall back so he stays around.
And in it, 25 left is stacked up, still in an unmarked position towards Mezzanine.
Yeah, let's see if they can unlock the round.
Very difficult 4v4 ahead here for Dolphin.
60 seconds, so time is going to pretty quickly look to make this round a challenge.
the droning top floor but it's a little late now. You got a minute left. Staxter's all the
way second floor. You're still going to get to work on this first floor. Play off the
vert. You haven't got blue stairs control. Sheba's played around really well, very active
on the north. You're going to just leave yourself very little time late in the round. Staxter
though does still need to make the right timing on his own play. Sometimes I see the second
floor roamers on the defense and they can take quite a while to actually get down and
help out. Now that is ambitious from Shiba. What are we doing? I think the reality is
though that Chippanines still have a pretty good position given time. The inability to
deny plant though here could prove costly. We'll see if Staxa maybe can have influence
up above. Yeah I mean he's got to start moving now. It's 10 seconds left regardless of what
happens with you Staxa. You've got to get involved as this plant's going down. So what
hasn't got the angle now rushes over does get the kill and actually denied it
what how much time was left no there's no how much time was left on that I thought
it not my close was it I don't know I have to get a replay of the plant and all
because that was like point one maybe I'd I was in the same mind is he was like oh
yeah that's definitely going down and then it didn't
I
Don't think of it he can believe it
And Stax they ended up finding the two kills by the way from that second floor rotate back down the first floor
So they go six to up and you were right that even in the three versus four they actually still had
They still had
Obviously the better overall way to win the round but
But, once, so what started sprinting, I thought-
Oh, we need to slow down on that.
We need to slow down on that.
Yeah, wow, that's close.
Types.
We need to get back to the first one.
Now we'll get there, here we go.
Okay.
We're looking at the yellow bar.
What?
Wow!
I think you also got fortunate that the first shot of the pistol, I think, was enough to
get the down, um, landed the shot.
just one shot missed there it could have been enough to uh sorry so yeah thanks for the replay
op that was yeah spot on and uh in terms of the plant and all that too absolutely spot on
triple nine now i can't believe it but if they win this next round they do just still keep that
opportunity alive it's been uh a crazy run since i mentioned it i didn't think it was actually gonna
happen. So four match point opportunities for triple nine. I mean the scoreboard says
that this has been incredibly one-sided but the reality is it really actually
hasn't been all that one-sided opening kills through eight rounds it's a 5-3
split in favour of Dolphin. Failing to convert though on three of those. Three to two in
terms of multi-kills in favour of Dolphin. A lot of these rounds are being closed as
Miki though hits the headshot on Sunstrike to give themselves what is actually a rare
opening kill on the verge of closing this game out 7-2.
Yeah, she noticed a comment as well, that due to the technical issues, Triple9er actually
got like a crazy comm set up for the moment where like some can hear each other, some
can't talk, it's all over the place for them, so they're basically just like heads up
stage, just like solo queue ranked at the moment, and maybe that's why Shadow's been
allowed the opportunity to round it towards the side.
Double digits as Dolphin will strike back and this would be the end of Triple9er.
I hope of getting six places it looks as if dolphin are gonna get a third round
Surely not another nail blighter on the cards as killers this time we'll get the plant down
It's happened
It's come it's happened again
And then,
Doug a fairly cool from Chateau as he collects the kit inside Bunk's Viku hits the shot onto Chateau.
Tenno is here.
He's got a minute on the black bit. No dude with the nitrocell triple nine take at seven two.
What a funny old game for these two teams to play on their final game of the stage.
Triple 9, half comms or not, they get the job done.
Now, Reliant on Alivate to get a 7-0 win over F5 in the next game to see if they can jump up to 6th.
Yep, look, they've done a decent job to give themselves an opportunity to finish at least one spot higher in the standings,
but they have definitely confirmed that they won't be finishing completely dead last,
which, look, especially if the T2 team's directly being injected into the T1 level, but in APL where it's seen historically be really challenging.
That might not sound like a massive feat, but I think it is quite impressive.
And in this kind of matchup, I think we saw some of the best moments from them in terms of their ability to clutch,
and when they're not playing with any pressure again, then their freedom is really fun to watch, so...
Impressive work from them, and I'm hoping that we see more of them next year.
Yeah, I mean, even if it's not essentially the same teams in terms of the exact core
fives, I think even just having a large majority of the players eventually return and continue
to forge their path in this ecosystem, really big game again from Shadow 10 and 7 from him
to opening kills of 136 EPS, not enough though in the 2-7 loss, but he can hold his head
high same with Sunstrike but for triple nine big nine again from Miku 133 EPS
one opening kill but the kills in the end that he was able to provide the big
determining factor. Strange game in terms of the fact that again the 72
scoreline I don't think really tells the full story of this match I mean this
was a little bit closer than the scoreline does suggest but that's a
credit to triple nine for being able to be far better in I guess those clutch
moments and turning what looked like maybe losing moments into winning moments and that
in itself is a testament to the team.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, again, I'm really hopeful in the interview maybe we'll get a bit of insight into terms
of long-term prospects.
I know it's only just the end of the stage for them, but what the future holds, if they're
looking ahead at the likes of Si Open Calls, for instance, and then building into next
year, I think it's going to be interesting to see how they go because we've definitely
I've already pretty quick improvement compared to what we saw at a tier 2 level in their
expansion out at tier 1, so it feels like giving them a few more stages and they'll only get
better and better.
Let's go to our interview with Staxter as triple 9 close off the stage on a high note,
Staxter.
Congratulations on the win.
Strange old game.
Apparently you guys were also having some comms, problems with TeamSpeak, how much did that
Why are you a factor in the match?
First of all, we cannot use this card because my teammates, they are Filipino and in Philippines, they are banned this card right now so we go on TeamSpeak.
And somehow my teammates disconnect from TeamSpeak so many times.
So we just talk in-game, communicate in-game.
We talk in-game, yeah.
Well, either way you guys played really well today. When you think about the whole stage
and how you guys have done now at the tier 1 level, how do you think it went? I think
you guys played really well. Do you guys agree?
Maybe yeah. I think we will come back with year 100% and in the future I think we can
We need them to get one team.
We, yeah, there are not that two songs.
If we give out words, we can win them.
And we did that.
Well, I mean, I guess for the team stacks,
what's the likelihood that we will see
either the same Core 5
or maybe the majority of the roster stick together?
Is that something that you guys have discussed
or is that something that will be discussed in the off-season?
Right now, I'm not really sure because next year, in mid-2027,
there's a lot we need to go study about.
So I'm still thinking about my future and my future.
Well, I appreciate the insight into that.
Anything you'd like to say, Staxman, before we let you go?
Thank you for all the fans.
I'm sorry.
Thank you for all the fans.
and we said we do our best, we'll be elevated and we almost reach to reach.
I'm happy with that and next step we're going to come back stronger, we'll be about back.
Thank you.
Thank you Staxxer for chatting with us and best of luck with things to come over the next year.
Yes, thank you.
What a happy note for triple
nine to close their stage on. It
does come with sadness as
Dolphin e Sports will end the
stage goes in a winless fashion,
but not pointless so they can
take some solace in that, but
now begins our final run home
for top four. These final three
games. They will matter, baby.
Don't go too far when we come
back. It's elevate. This is
When I was a kid, I had a lot of fun with the light personality since I was a kid.
I couldn't play outside with normal people because I was sick.
My mother and my father used to play a lot of games.
And because of that, I was in a place where people would play a game.
So I did a lot of things.
When I was a kid, I was a very rebellious person.
I was doing things that I didn't want to do.
I was really bad at it, but I was walking around with soccer and basketball.
I was doing nothing at all.
And then, there were more facilities, and I couldn't really play outside.
And the things I could do in the hospital, like games, became the main thing.
I was told that I shouldn't play, and I was told that I shouldn't play.
So, I wasn't really influenced by that.
When I was young, I enjoyed playing games with my friends.
I think playing games was the most fun part.
I was in school, sleeping, playing games at home until the middle of the night,
and sleeping at school. That's how I kept repeating myself.
Now, when I look back on it, it's all thanks to my family.
I'm used to the eSports conversation,
I'm used to being a pro gamer, and I'm able to earn more than a person's salary.
So, this is all thanks to my family.
When I first started playing in CG,
when I first started playing, I played in my friend's house for the first time in CG.
It was a great impression to play with my friends, but I've been playing with my friends for a long time.
I think it was a good impression, but I think it was a good impression because I haven't tasted anything else in the game.
I think that's what's good about it.
I think I've been playing since season 0.
When I first started playing Siege, I felt like Minecraft was the most important thing for me, and I was the only one who played Siege, so I didn't have that kind of impact in Japan.
I've been feeling great since the beginning,
and I've been feeling great that I can do whatever I want to do.
I'm glad that I'm not losing to anyone.
I need
I need you to make an up to cheese
Some love so cheap
Your eyes
Tell me everything I need
You smile
You smile
You smile
You smile
Tell me everything of me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, smile
Why do I have to lie?
Tell me, tell me, tell me
Dane
Oh
The waves of the people who disappear,
The light that shimmers in front of me,
The light that shimmers in front of me,
Hey, hey!
You melt away,
This is the last wish,
Hey, hey!
Wait!
Even if it's a lie,
This is the last wish,
Hey, hey!
The lost voice,
The waiting for you,
重ねく映画を 遠くになり一目 曖昧な距離さえ甘くて 本能過ごしても この世に寄わせて

Well, finals essentially begins now.
Elevate versus F5.
Elevate not locked into the top four,
but they do occupy a position currently.
In terms of what is required for them,
Guzz, to take care of things and lock their place into the top four,
even an overtime loss will get the job done.
So they've got it pretty comfortable.
They're the favorites for this match naturally against their five.
Um, I think the wisdom suggests they win this game and unfortunately for day start, that's
one less path for them, but that's the most likely outcome.
We'll see if it happens and I'm not going to completely discount F5 by any means, but
elevate have looked really good this stage and high calc actually been really, really
impressive.
Even deep back to that 45 performance against Dolphin.
He was the MVP and a big standout and performed really well again yesterday.
Absolutely, I think I enter this matchup where the outcome is ultimately going to be affected
by what kind of elevate we see, but I think F5's baseline is pretty solid.
So if elevate fails to show up, they could find the solid exposed in an electric position,
but elevate at their best if they're really fine, if they're well prepared, if they're
feeling good on the day and going with good form this afternoon or the other time.
Then I imagine this could be a pretty quick affair.
I think they'll be going in extremely focused and their prospects I think are going to be far reaching today
They're a team that has still a solid chance in snatching the second spot here in Asia
I think realistically they're not intending Wabo
I think it would be insane to say they take Wabo down at the best of 30. That would be a mighty result
But I think it's highly unlikely so they're very much in the running for second in the region
But as you mentioned isn't guaranteed either in terms of if you make it the top four
Yeah, I mean the last time they played Jarpa the only time was back all the way in playday one
So I was quite too paid to go and even then it was a 7-4, like it was just one of those kind of
point toss sort of games anyway. We're gonna the opponents for elevate F5 eSports and look it's been
Essentially job done on the stage when you come into the region through tier two
You're not really going to be expected to fight for top four, but they almost had a chocademy vibe about them
last week us when we kind of saw them play against Weibo gaming for plate
8-4 and they shocked the world and almost got me a haircut nice and early
ahead of Pax and well in the end lost at 5-7 but we walked away from that game
kind of saying well that's really competitive and that's great well they
don't get some points showcases that they're not gonna be an easy team to
beat followed it up on the next line against Fury and 7-4 again same kind
of measure where they were competitive, their defense on clubhouse really let them down and that
was to take away, they got beaten up by Sharper last night. Admittedly that was probably just
too far for them. Sharper's been in some fine form but for F5, they've beaten the rest, the teams
that they probably should be beating and they've been competitive against some of the teams above
them. So I think it's been a good stage, it's just a matter of can they be competitive in this
match against Alivate or maybe even go one step further and cause a real offset as we head into
the vetoes we will be adding to Chalet with Alavak starting on the defense.
Now I think continuing on from the F5 discussion, I think it's gonna be interesting to see how well
they played because the reality is they need one round to solidify their position in sixth place.
They only need one round and then they could go on to lose 7-1, it doesn't really matter. They have
nothing to gain and really nothing to lose in this matchup so if their motivation levels are low
that's probably something that alovate could look to exploit so we'll see if
they can 10% earlier they will be attacking and on the map like shall
I need to show good initiative on attack this hot taking my control so this
really a good test the F5 again implications and the consequences
for the result are very minimal and then it's highly unlikely that they'll drop
a position on the flip side to elevate this game means everything and maybe
that could be the motivation that could be the angle that F5 look at in this
matchup. Let's bring down someone with us and we'll see if I can do it.
If you're Daystar sitting at home watching, you are very much in the camp of F5 support.
So to make this as clear as it possibly can be, Elevate a point and they're into finals.
F5 win in regulation though, and Elevate will be at the mercy of probably more so Waybo
than even Daystar, depending on how Waybo want to then show up.
But it's a strange one too, because I agree with you.
I think elevator in with a decent chance.
I can almost already envision low bracket final elevate versus sharper best
to three winner goes to the soccer major and that would be a tough one to split
based on form and what we've seen from both elevate and sharper.
Certainly for elevate would would imagine they'd be slight underdogs in that match.
But on their best day, anything can happen.
They've got real quality.
So it's nice.
It's not even just elevate.
I remember though that a, um, I mean, they started watching this match with intent.
It is also Yuri to an extent, right?
Even, um, what could happen there?
Or does this match not have any, uh, this match, we know, well, it would once on
that, well, this would, this would lock you if elevate, we're to lose this in
regulation and this is good that you brought it up, but fury would then be
automatically locked into top four.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
They would, they could be sweating it if it doesn't go their way, right?
Given they find themselves in a somewhat awkward position.
fury aren't locked either so this game is pretty big and so all the pressure is on
elevate there is again f5 all they need to do to finish in sixth this stage is
win a single round they can win 7-1 they'll be fine they'll have the head
to head against triple nine so the only motivation for them in this matchup is
can we scurrova elevate so some people and some teams that's almost just as big
of motivation if I was in their position I'm not gonna lie I'd be like hey let's
Let's see if we can deny them.
Yeah, like 100%.
It's a competitive game, it's a competitive sport,
and as much as you also still want to win,
F5 aren't coming into this game thinking,
ah boys, let's just have some fun.
They'd be like, well, we can win.
We can end our stage on a high note,
and maybe we can deny elevator top four spot.
I think they're good enough to mix it with them.
Even if you stripped away any of the consequences
of the implications of this, this is like a Playday 1 B01,
I think F5 have the potential
to be pushing elevator a little bit.
pushing out of it a little bit I won't say, I mean definitely not favourites by any stretch but I think they could be highly competitive so
I'm really eager to see what version of them we get today in terms of bands as well, Grim, Snake or my, Solace
So nothing too crazy, although the Solace exclusion is pretty interesting
I will see if that does enable a bit more drone play here from the attack and does also change some of the positions defensively
Uh, Solace is a strong tool for instance on like a top floor hold, uh, dining defense, for instance, right, where you keep the Solace above the plant and all, so...
And that won't be available for elevate.
Oh, oh, the timing of the jump out there.
How's these actually quite lucky to be alive?
As Yannis does find the opening kill onto Mr. Punch, this is bar games by the way for the opening site, which is not quite normal when it comes to Chalet to start in this particular site.
As N.I. Kel will get a nice swing kill to be standing still.
Edward looked like for a second that he just closed his eyes and forgot he was playing
Siege.
And Arpey also gets a free beyond to KLZ.
And this is the thing against the team of Elevate's quality and experience.
You have to be pretty close to perfect with pretty much every little decision that you
make, your movement, the fights that you want to take as Zedux will go down to the gas
from Scatman and elevate. Looks like they're going to be able to take this opening round
relatively comfortably. Although Tolji runs back over the library into the sight line
of Yannis. What do you, five seconds left to V3?
Yeah, Arfe has to be a little careful here above potentially exposed to Yannis. Although
Based on his body language, he does not have a reed, so Arpe will have a time advantage here.
If Yannis was to push over towards the box with his hatch currently, as Anaheiko looks to hold elsewhere,
there's Arpe. Patience rewarded. Didn't give away the sand cube, and left Jittery on an island.
Solid start for Elevate, and they'll just be looking to provide this kind of consistent siege going forward.
This style of round needs to be the baseline.
Yeah, I mean, I think for F5 there's a couple of key takeaways that they'll get from that round, which is, look, if we can be a little cleaner, there are opportunities that will be there for us.
We probably have to spend a little bit more time droning these sort of maybe off-metre positions.
Elevate can have a tendency to not really follow the usual way in which you want to play the game.
They can play those sort of off-metres and go for jump outs, and we saw that. KLC was quite lucky to be alive.
Alibat aren't really the kind of team that will play that strict brand of siege where they will play very conservative.
They do have those tendencies, so F5 are going to have to be a bit more ready for that.
But also then use that to maybe exploit opportunities where they can get advantages within the rounds.
Alivate, get the first, and we want to hype this up as much as we possibly can,
but unless the game itself develops in that way as being likely,
As we just lost one of our spectators, it shouldn't be an issue, but I think the overall theme
of this game is just going to be dependent round by round.
If F5 showed that they've maybe got the chance to cause an upset, then sure, the excitement
will build, but until proven otherwise, I think Elevate will always be regarded as being
far too good in this sort of match.
and certainly starting on the defense of charlotte's putting a five to the test early
and i call the search in nitro cell
shot out i believe this is a
reactive work there from
f five that i call the deputy test entry up
off the hatch
Alphae gets caught out. Edward did find a rat as then Hickel wasn't
hovering or wasn't watching that maybe in a single window either way.
It all starts with around for F5. They look like through the map.
Then Hickel will retain position down below to maybe try and catch somebody
here from F5 on the library transition but
they're playing pretty good positions at the moment.
There's one thing to start well in a round, but it's all about then the final execution.
All of that's still in some pretty good positions.
That they got utility for days, double nitrous, all three gaspaves, so two canisters from
the tube route.
Still a bit of work to do for F5, just because you get that first kill doesn't mean it's
around done. Got a clearest top floor. KLZ gets caught pushing in through ego
Balk has told she finds the kill. Helps out Mr. Punch. Jittery, lovely shot though
on to told you to get the response and keep the early advantage with F5. ZDUX
will double down they do clear. Office. Jittery traded back as Enhyped.
Kyle comes from behind. Shotgun switched off. He's perfect. He's playing
gun game and he gets a second on to Edward just when f5 maybe thought that
we're gonna get this second round and high Cal what a stage he is having
yeah this is pretty good though we'll see if you can try and isolate this 30
seconds he's in smoke combo could allow the drop seems though like elevator
Clueing into what could be on offic here. He is the job through the smoke
When he secends and caught out and high Karl looking in good form tonight
Yeah, he is top seven rated player in the league at the number one player for alivate. He's gonna be a real threat come finals
If they're gonna get to the Osaka major it's off the back of an high Karl and probably then I'll pay to when you consider his experience
That's what makes alivate such a deadly team and proposition
You know the Scatman, Mr. Pawn, Chateaulegy, these guys have got experience for days and
you're going to still get good performances from them, but as a kind of two-man duo, Enhai
Kale, and our play is just as good as it really gets.
It just means early on here though, for F5, two rounds in, back-to-back opening kills,
Honestly, back to back rounds where they've kind of had a chance in both rounds to, you know, walk away with a positive result and it's 2-0 down.
So, it's not looking great if you daystar, at least for one of the two pathways for them, and it does mean then for Fury, you step next again, sharp part.
Long way to go in this game, but, and High-Kell, if he's on, which he is, 6-0, start for him.
it's gonna be hard to beat elevator and now they get to go bedroom and office
which I think it's gonna be quite a difficult task now for F5
Again, for elevate it's just about trying to be as consistent as possible throughout
this state, a particular path, sorry, and I think if there is any motivation for F5 it's
It's about trying to extinguish that pretty quickly and trying to impact their mental.
I don't think it would take too much for Elevate if they'd now 3-4 round to Dominantly
here for F5 to switch off pretty quickly and go out, I mean the scan doesn't really matter
anyway.
That was a great pop flash though!
I'll play Corde out but in the meantime, N-High-Karl!
Now up to 7 kills already!
Edward and takes that talk to be out of play.
It's the next step though for F5 where they've got to be a little bit cleaner now. 4v4 again, another early advantage.
They've already had these early advantages in the first two rounds though and couldn't
then come up with the round and then this time it gets created as well.
So 4v4 equal numbers, Xidox gets himself in towards Solar.
People shield, likely to be destroyed by that Fragrenade.
Like the little double Razorbloom setup on Xidox, he got caught dancing inside of Solar.
Luckily didn't take too much damage though.
One more thrown out by Tolji.
But again, it's this kind of proverbial stall out where F5 get themselves close to where
they want to be, but now it's sort of like, well, what do we do now?
And sit around and probably pose in the questions, you go there, you do this, I do that, but
there's only 55 seconds.
Dinox goes for a door peek and Heikal's got the very long angle.
There's no pressure on him coming to Althurs.
Where's the mezzanine pressure?
Where's the ego belt pressure?
just too much outside window towards solar but finally KLZ got on the move and
there is that pressure from the Messonid huge kill on to Enhycal now it's a
three versus two and a scout man gets rid of KLZ and help us equal again ZDARKS
gets caught by Tolji only Yanis left towards piano two versus one for
elevate to make this a three nothing start. He has a radio, he has that dated
info to play off. Doesn't have kit. Why not that off?
Attack is made. Five seconds left and into the crossfire. Three down four to go for
elevate and if that were to happen and a seven zero occurs, a five would lose that
sixth place.
Yeah, Elvira being pretty brutal so far.
Got it too, they played really good across the board, their key hit is being put in positions
to play make.
And f5 just firing themselves a little stalled out towards the tail end of a couple of these
rounds.
I want a good example with a transition that in towards site didn't really have a lot of
vigor.
And here's the side of the round, I mean the opening was great, it was a great pot flash,
be in the meantime Edward fell and with about a minute to go this push started to be compromised
and five electing not to go primarily then for the plant as the wing con
but the flood deep it's going to be tricky to make that work so
so we'll take this opportunity to chat to the team
quick minute to have a talk over what's gone down so far
Looks like it's Edward doing most of the talking, Slim's not even speaking.
And now, Cat, let's see.
I mean, yeah, the coach doesn't always have to be the one to kind of discuss things, and
sometimes it can be very much player led in terms of these discussions.
Look, if I'm on F5, I would just be sort of sending the message saying,
look, we're doing all right.
We're doing a lot right, in fact.
Well, with 3-0 down, that shouldn't then play on your minds going into the next three rounds.
You've got to suddenly either catch up or do more.
Sometimes it's just a case that you can play well and lose.
You're playing an elevate team that's, I think, been riding a high ever since that
golfing game.
And you think back to that interview, I can't recall who it was with, was it Up A or was
it N-High-Kill?
I can't recall.
But I remember them saying, was it coolie?
Maybe it was coolie.
They were talking about that in the first two rounds or so,
and when all of the tolgy issues were happening,
they were actually like mentally almost checked out.
Like they were very much, and I'm pretty sure it was coolie.
But then they kept winning.
And then when they kept winning and winning,
they went from this almost mental chalk
to I think overall positivity.
And ever since then, I think Elevate have just been able to kind of grasp that
and maintain it as Yannis finds the opening kill on to Arpe. Arpe was the one that took first contact
on to Yannis, got into half health, Yannis quick to react. F5 get another opening kill.
It's four straight opening kills for F5, yet they're 0-3 down.
Arpe by the way is also 0-3 in a row on the opening deaths.
might be time to take his spawnpeek license away well let's see how they get themselves
back into this one last night and I cal had eight straight entry battles in elevates match
picking off him and now nine and one his form has just gone to a new level right ahead of finals
too. Yeah. Hopefully it doesn't use up all his powers tonight. As Edward will push forward
over the wall to Piano, it is into a cross, does a decent job in avoiding the first spray.
That's the danger man out of play, but a three versus three is told you to trade elsewhere.
That's really, really what playing for Medford. Under the pond, two players,
one pushing out, you look at the guard break, turn around, pistol shot.
This is where for elevate now they don't kind of dictate the tempo and that's what they've been doing so our base spawn pig
Yeah, it doesn't work and high Cal
Goes with a little two-man action towards piano and office. Okay, kind of break even now to fall back to side
But told you gets caught kind of lingering behind and jittery will take the free kill another advantage for f5
Towards site this time. I'll pick the pace up
That's usually been the strength of F5 throughout this stage. When they find these advantages, they snowball very good at that.
They're taking bar control. Mr. Punch losing out to Yannis, forcing Scatman now out of Barstock, and while he does get the kill onto Jittery,
he flits up and Yannis in some good form.
F5 will get their first round, and with that sixth place is locked in for F5 Esports.
There we go.
Probably took a little while longer than they would have liked, and it's been a bit of a struggle to get until
To that point, despite other metrics looking positive for them, but I'll take it.
I mean, I know Yannis gets pretty animated overall, but maybe he knows the implications of that round, I don't know.
Oh, he said it in the chat, there you go. He's tucked in, he knows what's up.
So, yeah, congratulations to F5 in securing that position. Pretty solid for them.
I'm interested to see though from this point onwards how do they keep up the same pacing
here or do they kind of just lay their hands up I'll be interested to see.
I imagine they still have a bit of a chip on their shoulder.
We wanted to try and take down Elevate and I think they probably should be looking more
competitive in terms of the score line so far.
Four opening kills straight.
They've had some good moments here and there but unfortunately in high colors proved difficult
to tame and the rest of Elevate playing a supporting piece.
Well, the other part of this as well is the mental aspect.
So, F5 find the get one round and then there's two rounds to go.
They've had their time out, they get a result from that.
Again, they've been actually far more competitive in this game
than the scoreboard really indicates.
Four straight opening kills.
You don't really just fluke your way into that.
The rounds in terms of survival, three, two, two and two.
So, the rounds have been pretty close.
They've, again, done a lot right where they've kind of been missing
is more towards the side execute and the late round sort of play.
But where that round changed was they brought the pace up once they got that kill when jittery was able to find a big pick
onto
I can't remember who it was, but
It was told you actually and then they got the 3v2 advantage straight into bar straight towards site
Just keep that momentum going don't allow elevate to get their feet set
I think if they can do more of that to close this half out
They could actually almost get this to 3-3 and go on defense and we could end up with a game on our hands
But Enhai-Kal's right now the main threat, the main problem.
So as soon as he went down in that last round, that's when I felt like they could genuinely
win the round.
Now play with another, Opie and Gatred fall straight from up, this time he turns it around
But as Anhi-Kal beats out Edward towards Trophy Stairs, I played to double down Ziduck spotted
outside of Trophy Window and it looks as if for F5 it'll be short-lived success as Elevate
are on the verge of a fourth round.
like went down for the attack. We catch under Mr. Punch, he was looking down through Vert.
For this dining lurk, or fireplace side lurk.
We take up a ball from Enhoi Cull over to Wood Solar. Play a contact cross here.
Oh, but Toldy still loses, okay. Oh, hang on.
I'll shoot him with only one HP, and well, he's now the last man standing, so surely he won't
be able to clutch. Yeah, I mean, he's got a minute, but the half-boss is what around? Well...
From three straight opening deaths for Arpey, he's been sitting on the sidelines a little too long and he let out his frustrations in that fifth round, a very, very dominant performance from Arpey.
Showing that he's still got it and he's had a very good stage so far. As I mentioned, he and and I call have been the best for elevate.
Both sit inside of the top 10 rated players for this region as Elevator now 3 rounds,
well actually no, 2 rounds away from securing their place in finals.
Back to regular programming for Elevate, you can just see there in terms of the body language
as well, they are very locked in at the moment. They know what's on the cars, the implications
of this matchup and maybe F5 do just begin to let their minds wander a little bit now
with less to play for, a little to nothing to play for on their end. On around half,
F5 will be pretty eager to get a second here, otherwise fighting from a 1-5 deficit is going
to prove very difficult.
Elevates are returning to the top floor, library extension, nor in play.
No shield in response from the attack, as we would expect.
And Highcarl double digits here, and he'll be looking to look down this mezzanine position.
F5, we'll see whether or not they look the posture for the map though.
You can already see it a little bit more apprehensive just now also for F5 early in this round minute in and
No one's in the building really except for KLZ he's gone for a
snow lurk and up again in the opening engagement
He's trying to match or better the streak from N-high kill yesterday. The only downside is now one and four
As jittery gets a second this one on to mr. Punch and this will just kind of keep hope alive for F5
maybe going into the second half that on their own defense they could make this still a contest.
Hell of it, not out of the round yet when N.I.K.K.L. is still alive in the server.
Waltzbessity wanted to take the battle towards Lipre, but he gets outplayed by Xedox.
Astrology then also falls lovely double kill from Xedox, and F5 even
ended the half in a flawless fashion, although Scatman pushing Ego catches Jittery by surprise,
position now known the troops will start to flood in as KLZ puts an end to the
round and half it's a four to two lead for elevate but there's enough in this
game to keep it interesting heading into the next half
are still a fighter's chance
first half as they go on to the defense there. I hope it's a small one. We'll need to start
well in this early rotation as we head into the second half. They want to cause a real
boil over and light the flame for tonight's finals aspirations elevate two rounds away
from locking in top four. They're five though, applying a good enough brand of seed tonight
that they could cause the upset, but they're going to have to still maybe take it one level
further to go all the way and win this at least I the 7475
yeah let's see how it goes replay package fun around a little half if I
basically cutting them down all around the map looking miles of unit and then
Scatman obviously in a precarious position at the end of the round pretty
solid overall there from F5 who have now remained within touching distance for
the second half. I've got a bar game up first similarly to the first half.
We're at LV8, we're able to win that successfully in defense, now looking to
find success on the attack. We saw the Amonti initially but perhaps spotting
out the Normandy switch at Capital. This lineup probably suggesting that it's
some kind of direct hit, doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a full window rush, it could
be an emphasis on getting library control first, etc, but I imagine I'll try and layer
that utiline towards the objective and not worry too much about the map clear.
Although their spawn points are indicative that maybe they will at least tempt their
initially.
I don't know if I've answered their chances into the mezz hold here and might be an unnecessary
risk, but they're pretty quick from in control. This is very quick. Yeah, send him in. I'll
do that. One of the best entry players in the league, and he makes an immediate impact
on the attack. Quite nice for KLZ. Wards. Hedux gets a very small window to find the
head on to Enhike. Oh, and he connects. That is a sharp angle. He hit essentially a pixel
as Yannis beats out Tolci while he was basically up in flames. F5. How quickly with the lead in
the round after Elevate got the opening kill through N-High-Calp. Four versus three.
Yeah this will just stabilize the pace of the round a little bit.
Abitavim play I think is critical here for Elevate. They might be able to problem solve
the way to really extract good value here from the flames and the smokes. Of course they're
noting that with the water in place, Scatman will need to be cautious. That's the best commit at
the moment, contact made. A five now at a pretty significant HP deficit in the ground,
and I'll need to be conscious of that. They do still have the Shumiko launcher,
nitrous cell, the Horus Launcher. So utility to maybe use in continuing to get that clock down
and also then play from a distance to not be as exposed, certainly for Janus and Xedux.
Although Xedux is exposed because it's just in the middle of library and wasn't expecting
a rotate towards the windows. Mr. Punch lovely swing clear towards library hallway just like that,
elevate or flip the advantage on their side. And that is a big loss for F5 because they did
look like there was a chance they could get this to a 4-3 score line.
Janus and Jittery has the remaining two now outnumbered against three full health members
of Alivay as Alpey hits the headshot against Janus. Jittery remains with the dinner plate.
24 seconds, knows this is looking more likely to be the bar side hit as he's in the middle of games
and cannot win the battle against Mr. Punch as Alivay are now one round away
from securing their place in finals.
Yeah, just one more round needed.
And it's looking pretty good for them.
They've obviously had some blemishes early in terms of the ability to kill rate,
but they've been able to make up for that with late round play.
That one there overall, another pretty solid example of quick map entry,
a little bit of chaos into the server,
and then when the man can't stabilize, they too are able to stabilize, find a bit of info.
and then isolate the rest of those defenders and put them in awkward positions that were pretty straightforward to flush
and as I said just one round away
courtesy of the position they found themselves with a strong round differential
Move it to Dining Up Next.
Rather in play here from Alvett, it's going to be an interesting tool, especially in the
Utah line up here from the defense.
The FNOT mines in particular are going to be quite vulnerable if they have elected to
stick with the default cameras as well, or I'm really strong to be able to deal with
on this style of map, but not to go that route, but they do at least bring shock drones, so
a more destructive approach.
Seat out!
Stalgy opens up the account in the 8th round. Elevate.
No, they're on the cusp of locking in top 4 position with no chance of them being overtaken by either Fury
End or Daystart.
It's been a solid performance, F5 of actually again being quite competitive and essentially
a story for them on the stage, which is a positive one.
They're getting outdone now towards the back end of this match on Chalets.
Yannis and Jittery both dead early, elevate for the comfortable advantage in this eighth
round as Enhye-Kel bought a little bit here by Edward as the pig information, the clean
swing and with that elevate now will get themselves locked in and ready for finals.
The real stuff now begins for them because quite frankly this is a team that can get to the Osaka
Major with two slots in this region. He would well and truly know there is every chance
they could get to the big dance. There's KLZ, battles, but only to his death, six on the board
and elevate are locked in.
Congratulations to elevate.
They've done a solid job to put themselves
in this position.
Again, they're locked.
Go to see the round diff.
12 points enough for them.
I'll honestly, no signs of them really slowing down
I'm fully expecting them to get all three tonight
and jump up to 14.
Which could ultimately see them finished third
in the standings depending on the results.
If that were to be the case, most likely going to then take on shop eSports in that first
semi final, but again that will say that permutation pending other results.
So we're going to get two stuff in the weeds with that at the moment and ultimately with
the being a double alien bracket that I think the seeding is hugely influential, but could
potentially mean that I don't have to face Wave Boat first, which might be what that
would prefer.
I don't know, would you prefer this Wave Boat first or?
Well, I don't think it really matters in a double elimination environment, right?
I mean, if anything...
If in a two-slot region, though, I think you would want the safer match first just to
give yourself a little bit more breathing room.
You don't want to be straight in the lower bracket.
Yeah, I mean, it's a good point, you make, because the upper bracket final is essentially
a qualification game just as much as the grand final.
Well, actually, no, the grand final's not.
In Asia, it's actually the upper bracket final and the lower bracket final out of the qualification
game.
In theory, if you can get to the upper bracket final, you do give yourself two chances to qualify.
So, I mean, you'd rather play sharper first, wouldn't you, and get a real good test in the best of three,
because then, even if you lose that, there's a high likelihood you'll then play them again.
And so you will have learned, you know, maybe being able to VOD review that, go to different maps, etc.
the easy answer I think is yet you'd rather avoid Waybo until at least the
upper bracket final but Elevate's stage has not been as clean as sharp as to the
point where I think they can really argue which one they would prefer to have
you know I'm just happy to be there and I kelp nice little win over KLZ
And this is well targeted by the death mark as he will scatter away judary gets quite
aggressive from the other store.
You get the day, you get no courtesy.
Oh, I'm the devil so I can't even get my words out.
I'm going to go down to the
same way. Yeah, step by, indeed
because the victory is here for
Elevate seven two job done into
finals. They get themselves an
opportunity at the soccer major
and they look really primed to
give that a red hot crack as they
are the third team to give that a
red hot crack as they are the
third team to give that a red
Crack as they have the third team to qualify for the final four
Yeah, I'm excited to see these guys in best of threes
I'm curious to see if they'll look stronger or weaker kind of with best of one for my thing
I got feeling is that best of threes will suit this team quite well
But I'm eager to actually see that in action and then in terms of how the saving plays out etc
What they run for bracket might look like I think it's gonna be fun elevate definitely go in as a threat
They are a solid chance to get a spot at a major
Pops to them on the results night. I mean they did want that to be done
Clean across the board
There's three rounds despite not getting me up until still being able to find results constantly getting in high-cow on playmaking positions
The utilgather was great across the board as well just some good solid siege
And I think once F5 kind of secure themselves in 6 they just kind of shut down a little bit and look for the credit of all of that
they were able to capitalise and just minimise mistakes in that map and rewarded with a pretty
healthy win 7-2. Very solid on their record. Yeah there were some competitive rounds from F5 that
they couldn't quite win so a couple of those arm wrestle rounds that came down to you know your two
v2s etc clutch moments that they couldn't really pull over elevate so if I'm F5 yeah I've lost 2-7
but I think they can take quite a lot from this game and certainly from the stage a very
competitive stage from F5 eSports but elevate they got bigger fish to fry. Let's go to Cooli for
our interview as Elevate have qualified for finals. Cooli congratulations on that statement.
I want to take us back to that dolphin game very briefly because I remember in that post game
interview you said you know two or three rounds into that game the boys in the cons maybe sounded
a little bit down like you know it was going to be one of those kind of nights and then as they
they kept winning the vibes went better and better,
then you go and get a point against Waybo,
now you lock into finals and High Cal,
our player in some absolutely hot form.
I guess from maybe where things could have gone
to where they are now, this has been best case scenario.
It looks like we're having some technical difficulties as Paulie is muted, obviously I know that
can hear me but we'll try and get his microphone sorted. I think that's the very first time,
by the way, that I've never been in that position actually. Like we've been doing this for a very,
very long time guys and usually they're in and prepared and ready to go and unfortunately,
Cooley just didn't flick the mic on. I mean it happens between us all the time because we often
and you know, sales. It seems like he's back though. Cool. Hello. Hello. Hello.
Yeah. Yeah. No, as you were saying, I'm very happy and proud of how the boys have overcome
that mental challenge of that 45 and it is the best possible route. I feel like you could
have won against Weibo. We showed a lot of promise and there were quite a few rounds
could have been a flip of the coin. But either way getting a point showing that we can make them bleed
is a brilliant sign anyway. And of course getting our nice three points today, you know, who can
complain. So yeah. Yeah, congrats on the win, mate. One thing we were talking about briefly
during the match was under the assumption you guys make top four, which obviously you now have
seating. How do you guys view that? Is there a small part of you that maybe doesn't want to
the first round, wait for that to potentially be the upper bracket final? Do you not really
care? Like is there obviously without giving away too much, is there any sort of preference or
read on how you want to see that bracket shape up? I think we'll be fine either way the bracket
shapes up because we're going to have to play either sharper or way bow anyway. There's no way
getting around that. We're going to have to play them. But I think that the most important part of
of it is is that we're just prepped and ready and mental strong enough to go
through the three maps and I think we're at a good point where we are now a
little bit of tinkering we've got a little bit of time and it will be
absolutely perfect I'm ready if I'm completely honest I'd like to play
sharper first I'd like to right the wrong of our loss on the first game day
and like see how they do against us when we're prepared but either way we're
going to have to play in both. So I've got a good feeling.
The benefit of having the two slots, clearly, I think invigorates the likes of
yourselves and Sharpa and maybe even do a degree for Fury. I mean, obviously, you
would love to win the stage. You'd love to be the number one team. You'd love to
beat Waypo, but if, you know, it does end up being that second slot halfway, I
don't think you're going to be too disappointed. But clearly going into
finals now that can't really be the messaging that can't really be part of
the conversations it needs to be the full focus on trying to be the best team
yeah it's a hundred percent our focus to actually be the best team I think our
game against them yesterday really showed that you know we do have a chance of
taking them I think that we've got a definite chance of you know taking that
first, it just requires us to really lock in and not show as many mistakes as we have done in the
past. And so it's practically the drawing board redoing and revamping quite a lot in terms of
strategically for the match we've shown so far and also the practice that we've got. So yeah.
Awesome. Well, Koli, thank you so much for coming on, having a chat and again,
congratulations in order to get this team into the final four and now the stage really begins
so best of luck come finals thank you very much oh good day guys so seven two seven two
through our first two matches and it does mean it's down to two as well my yeah there's only
two teams vying for the finals spot in the finals and fury secure themselves in this next game
or do daystar still have a chance let's find out after the break
After all, at the beginning, when I saw the tournament, when there was a C ag ... Well, and even that decline ...
When I was there, I thought I was stronger than this guy, so I wanted to try it out a little bit.
That's right. The first time I played, I was sure it was the first time I played on the Nosepection's phone mark.
At that time, I thought I could win if I did something, but after all, I didn't go that well.
I was so nervous that I came back home.
I thought I shouldn't do this,
so I started to do a lot of team work,
and it went pretty well.
I was in the first game in the Noseption,
and I was in the first game of the Denmark Major.
I was like, I did it!
I thought I was going to destroy it,
but I was defeated.
And then, it's hard to be strong as a team, so I think it was a good experience.
When I played for the first time in the online tournament, I was a little weak, and I was a little bit smooth.
I was like, what is this? What is this?
Yeah, I was really nervous.
I was really nervous about the first tournament I played.
But I was confident that I could make it to the first kill.
But I lost with my team spirit.
When I first measured it, it was a G2 machine from Mac, and I was really longing for it.
I think it was a good thing that I didn't have any regrets.
When I first started, I watched a lot of videos of Kenji-san and Ram-san, and I was really excited.
I wanted to lose too much, so I lost to rank, custom, and other players who were playing with me.
I wanted to be stronger when the players were playing with me.
I wanted to be stronger when I was playing with me.
When I was born, I've been given a lot of things to do.
I wanted to do everything I could do to the highest level.
So I've been trying to aim for the highest level.
No, I have to win this in-game, and I think I will continue to hate losing this game.
You believe in magic, go from the inside.
I should be the leader
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
Give me a little more strength
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
I'm gonna get it
Another secret psyche
That the world just fade away
You're all I need
Can it just be us tonight?
No one can see
Give you my trust tonight
It's your sake
It's falling love
Tonight
In no right place
At the right time
Coming for the love
Tonight
Do you believe in magic?
Come from the inside
Please believe in magic

And there was only two that now remain fury and day star while they may not be playing
each other they will be playing in the final two games for the stage.
Fury it's just all about round differential or potentially getting the win but they go
into this game as the underdog against the Sharpa Resport team because that is looking
really really solid so I think that's going to be the conventional approach which is fury
at least don't get smashed. Don't lose this 7-0 and have your faith in the balance going into the last game.
Yeah, look, even if they get smashed, they could still make it through if they start to lose or don't win by enough.
So it's highly improbable that this team doesn't make the top 4.
They all put a lock at this point that you do not want to be chance-ing it.
As you said, Blinks tonight would be great, or just minimising a loss if it were to come their way.
But we're expecting them to look pretty solid tonight their opposition though in sharper is pretty firm
So I think fear will be looking at this kind of matchup
Not maybe necessarily in terms of the qualification component
But they'll be trying to set that aside. I think and really just putting in a good effort
Against a sharper lineup that these guys will be very eager to beat of course a bit of a grudge match in terms of
The regionality as well, both teams hailing from Thailand and we know that they've crossed
each other in the server a million times at this point, so I'm sure they're keeping
school and you're going to see how they do without tonight.
Yeah, I mean, I'm curious as well as to how this will form because the other aspect of
theory too is that they're going to be playing in finals, right?
Like they want to be in contention for the Osaka Major, so from their perspective, it
can't just be trying to preserve and trying to not lose.
It needs to be can we win, can we make a statement,
heading into finals.
And this is a perfect opportunity for them to do it
because then you get the byproduct of rounds too.
So you get probably two birds, one stone,
chopper, e-sports though, by there in some fine form.
I was looking at the stats coming into you tonight.
Peeps is now the number one rated player in the region.
And Curiosity wasn't there enough of me to go back
can check when the last time someone was going to play in the region, not from Weibo, but I distinctly
remember it being Crit J. I'm almost certain of it, that he probably was the last player not on
Weibo or Slashbleed that was at one point rated as number one. So for Sharpa, to have Heaps who's
now number one, and Crit J, who's number six and at times has been close to number one, or actually
number one, shows the strength on this roster you add in the experience of Napew. He's got so much
talent and bg man i remember saying to james yesterday he's going under the radar he's top
three this stage but sharp has got more players in the top six rated players than even weibo three
to two that's how good these guys have been you might want to get checked for early dementia jake
because i had to look back at stage one do you want to take a guess who the top rated player was
Probably not on weibo
It was a high-kill, but I
You get you
I didn't go and check what you get the idea of the message. You're smart. You can't you covered yourself. That's smart
That's why I'm you're gonna jump into this game
I really think that both teams are gonna have a good read and it likely is they're gonna lend itself into being a close match
And a close match is the absolute worst case
scenario, but they start again if they start to be a chance they need to smash
Wayboat and hope that Fury gets smashed in this match and I just don't see that.
Well Harambe's hope is that they do get smashed that was the graphic that we
brought up yesterday we'll revisit it now because it's on the line I mean we're
gonna know one way or another what's at stake going into the final game against
Wayboat Gaming so Harambe's hope is that Fury gets smashed 7-0, that's
7-0 if not that 7-1 if not that 7-2 you get the pitch they want to try and make it as
As clean as possible that there is a chance for them now in terms of what the day star it would mean so right now
Fury a post three a star a minus five
So you can kind of see where this is going that if it happens in sharper would have been seven zero
I believe that would put fury on what minus four or something along those lines
And it means that for day star you would almost only need a seven five win anyway
So which I think if we are to be fair as we go through the map you know shall I where we're going
It's far more likely to say yet. Could they start beat Waypo 75? Absolutely. That could happen
If you look at way post last few games eight six win over elevate seven five win over sharp the seven five win over f5
So it's there. There is that potential part
But if you really don't get seven zeroed they're competitive in this game and they lose say seven five themselves against sharper here on
Charlotte then that kind of slams the door shut because then you've got a beatway bow
essentially 7-0 on 7-1. Recent form, bow teams come into this with three wins and
just the single loss. Fury form's been good, beating the teams they should and
certainly that match against Space Star a couple of weeks ago was pivotal to beat
in this position for Sharpory Sports. This is now the tune-up for finals.
Yeah this could be potentially the curtain raiser for who's to take the second slot in
the region. If I was the Hedge Mag bets right now it would be Wabo out on top to make it
through the upper bracket final and then maybe for these two to be dueling it out in that
lower bracket final and that's absolutely no disrespect or disconning elevate who I
definitely think will be a threat and I wouldn't be shocked by any stretch if they were able
to snag the second slot but I just get the impression that these two could be set for
for a big match in that lower bracket final.
And even if it's not there, at some point,
if they are to face off,
I think it will be a great match.
These two, again, with so much intermingling and experience,
it always will make for a good game.
It's very, very rare that we'll see a bad match
between these two kinds of rosters.
So, yeah, expectations pretty high
that if nothing else, this will be a competitive match.
But there is obviously that small part of us
that's hoping maybe Fury gets matched
because we want they start to have a chance
or at least make that last game fun.
Yeah, look, I'm excited to see this round by round
as it develops because again, I buy into the theory
that for Fury, you wanna be personally playing finals,
but then if you're there, you're not just making up
the numbers that you can compete,
that you can have a chance to get to the Osaka Major.
And I certainly said in the last game for Elevate,
that I personally feel like Elevate Sharper
will battle over that second spot by finals then.
But if Fury could do the number on Sharpie here, doesn't that just change the conversation
massively?
And not just the conversation, but also then the implications of the CD-AX for the final
fall.
Because, well actually no, I don't think it would outside of then it would probably be
then Elevate vs Weibo, rather than Elevate vs Sharpa.
So if Fury did lose this game, it should then be then Elevate vs Sharpa, or the, dude,
2v3 seeding matchup, which is what Cooley kind of said he wanted anyway
But if Fury were to win this game
They would actually then likely get a repeat matchup against Sharper eSports funnily enough to start then the 2v3 into a
best of three so it'd be different than a B1, but
You beat them then who's to say well you can't beat them again
And then suddenly you're not a bracket final you get two chances to go to the major so that's what could be on the cards
Fury as Rodini if you opening kill
Pop library with bailiff on the crit shape. That's a good start
It's a very good start.
Okay.
Well, that's over.
We're barring a big clutch up here from Locals and Peeps.
We have Connectives.
Peeps is Peeps.
He's him.
You've got two minutes.
That's the one benefit from all of this happening inside of minute one.
Peeps also got good side control as well, and Locals is already in a good spot.
They can plant, and he gets the kill, and almost gets the second as well on the mark.
Now Dark is towards Piano, does he get the timing? Yes he does.
He gets the kit down and then Shield up now and goes,
God bet Dark, he played.
Fury hold on, courtesy of Dark.
And they will get the opening round, much deserved,
but credit to Sharper for fighting back
and putting that into a genuine 50-50 in the 2v2.
I won't be complaining if we get more of this,
some high-tempo, high-intensity,
it'd be fun to watch between these two.
I think they'll both be pretty willing to play
that kind of play style. Of course typically will be dictated by the attack but in that
instance it was good positioning earlier there for Fury that did kind of throw off
that attack. Fightback was decent from peeps and like Hollis but like Hollis timed on
the piano creep as he was laser focused on the solo slash bedroom side and then dark
up close with the shotgun. Pretty good from here. If you leave it in a 1v1 against the
Blackbeard with a little bit of range it could have been pretty spicy so did a good job to
confirm that and over to bath around too I just iterate as well the bands snake
lits born and allows a trap heavy here means that sharper could go pretty heavy
on the work themselves well I pose this question to you just for you guys no one
else would you rather I mean this can't be a 7-0 anymore but let's say would you
rather sharper when you're 7-1 and it makes our next game labor a day-star a little bit more tantalizing
or would you rather fury each sharper which makes finals even more tantalizing because you're
genuinely at that point going in with the final four all all four would be capable of this archer
major look i'll be honest it's not to say if you would lose this they can't but it would make their
case far stronger. I don't think I'll be reading into this result too much. I just hope that
Daystar have a chance for the sake of making that last game fun so much. I'm kind of leaning
towards the Fury camp. If they can win this game against Sharpa, I mean, you might not
pay too much mind to it, but I certainly will. I mean, let's be real, Daystar, I gotta win
my next game, right? Well, that's the thing. I don't think that's gonna happen anyway.
I'd like to see Fury really show that they can mix it with Sharpa.
And then that in itself, considering the two slots in their edge,
and it's good enough to say that they could potentially go all the way.
Crit J on the Carly, and he gets a nice little dub.
Oh, I thought that was almost the trickle.
That will be.
He's gotten four on the Carly.
Napier gets the fifth.
And as Crit J just reminding everyone how talented he is.
Oh.
Like I've loaded back into Nuke Town there with the Ballista he was popping off.
That's new Carly for ya. Jeez.
He was just quickscoping, that was great.
Definitely set it up to take in Carly this stage, a bit more comfortable with the magnification being reduced.
But I haven't covered a clip quite like that yet where someone's been able to quickscope that effectively.
Credit to Crit J, that was a nice play.
And it's definitely leaning into a Frank heavy match.
The second was a hard scape so that doesn't really count.
And he did with the third.
But look it was still pretty good.
It was a headshot in the end.
You can take that one.
You can claim that.
Absolutely claimed that.
Chopper on the board.
1-1.
He's back to back opening kills from Roltini and he's taking out two pretty good players
in Crit J and Peeps.
The signs definitely here that this could be a real contest between these two on
Chalet. Early days though. The other thing as well as I mean for Sharpa they
wouldn't really want to lose their final game going into finals when they've had
such a good stage everything's been perfect up to this point. I agree that
it wouldn't be the end of the world when they're already locked in and best of
3s are going to play out very differently to best of 1s.
And when this is a game that doesn't really
have any meaning for them,
they have to, with the OP pick on to Dark,
will be Sharper's first advantage
inside of the three rounds.
Critchey almost caught on the timing
and dust back down onto Kineke.
He goes to five, nice and early in this game.
Everyone's taking some damage towards Piano as Sharper.
Looked pretty in control,
Maintaining the control here in the third round Labyrinth is down inside a piano will not be revived
So it's effectively a four versus two
Yeah, the pacing is unrelenting
Time of opening kill 230 to 17 two minutes 40 here in round three
In fast pace fast tempo
Sharp though in a pretty commanding position at the moment and like Hollis has a read doesn't that fuses me a little bit careful
Well, well, Dany offers him a freebie up on a platter, Markle alone into the black bid
on the ground and dead.
Solid work from Sharpa.
It's the difference in quality between the two teams.
Fury are probably going to have to fight a little bit more for most of their round wins
where Sharpa have just got that ability to make these rounds look far more easier than
they really should be.
Now, that's two very quick rounds.
a great start from fury again came down to that 2v2 into the post plant so
bit scrappy despite the strong start for fury sharper brought it back and then
the next two rounds don't follow the same script it's just bang bang sharper
just go and completely flip it straight away blackbeard ban along with the
Fenrir ban
three rounds played from fury with the Fenrir twice the blackbeard was
utilized by peeps. And Bargames up next, which has not been successfully defended by Fury,
so instead of opting to go bedroom office, we actually head back to a site which they
failed to win because of the crit jay kali play and he's on the kali again
you know safe sharper ever build some uh meaningful momentum which of course
rode one of the days start in that round differential camp or if you reckon
and it's back here, expecting the Tempo to continue to be fast paced.
This shop ends up all heading into the second half, interesting, Fury Electing Go Double
Shield does leave the Monty up at 8.
I don't know how effective that'll be for Sharpa, we'll have to wait and see.
Again though with such a strong track band set here from the attacking team that's gonna
help quite a lot.
So, he's, I think, he'll be given quite a bit of freedom here, and it could be tricky
for Fury to keep at it.
Hey, as like, Colossus goes to the low-fireplace, it's gonna be another early fight.
It is, Grichay, and like, Colossus both get wild.
Oh, dark, hello!
There's someone shooting at you, but from two different angles.
Well, it was bang, bang, but why not add one more sharper, if just go, bang, bang, bang!
Three in a row for sharper e-sports.
Fury made a little bit of an early start in that opening round since then Sharper
just clicked up a couple of gears and showcasing how good they are this stage.
I love the vibes inside of the server right now from Sharper, they're loving it.
I feel like we're watching a bit of a raid game at the moment but in the best way.
Sharp Rage is not messing around. He's good. They want this game over one way or another.
Of course there are potential implications for Sharp Rage tonight if Waybo for whatever
reason actually do lose. Sharp Rage could jump them with all three points. There's even a world
in which Sharp Rage could jump them with an OT win. And of course that's trickier given the
differential situation so that's also a possibility but I don't think I just
don't see Waybo losing but it would be crazy if Waybo end up losing and Sharpa
get up and they star as well that would be an insane outcome
Well, this sharper performance continues, maybe.
Yeah, man, that is, uh, I don't know if it says more about sharper or potentially maybe
furious still, like a little bit of catch up in terms of where these teams really sit
in this region, but they're just, oh my god, walking into the building and just doing what
they want.
No, regardless, Crit J has that license here on the Carly, he's going to just swing again.
Not scared to take these fights and teaching Fury a lesson.
The pace is at an all time high from Sharpa.
It was three incredibly rapid rounds and it's now looking like a fourth, dark.
They just slowed the tempo, but not for long because Crit J is on the hunt as Mark is now
Now trapped towards Trophy, like Carlos knows where he is, he decides to just give him a
love tap and Critchey gets the kill.
That might be the 4 quickest rounds I've ever seen.
Oh, Critchey is a good game, I tell you what, this is great.
But the quality is high and they're just running around doing what they want.
And for Fury, they need to snap out of this, but it's not so much them, it's what Chapa
we're doing? Oh, it's a little bit here and realize these guys are just quite literally
sprinting down mid running into the building and just shooting we need to figure out how
to stop that. It's all funny games for now but you're right the more rounds that they
end up throwing or not not throwing but the more rounds they end up losing the worse that
around different regents and it just, it upticks they-stars chances from 0.1% to 0.2 to 0.3,
it just gives them more routes back to the top 4 and it would be exceptional circumstances
if this kind of resolved from Sharpa where they dominate Fiora with this pace ends up
being what knows the amount of the top 4, that would be a cruel end to the stage. So
yeah, they need to snap out of this quickly, find a way to deal with this relenting pace
because I can understand that without the traps it's making it tough, so you've got to find a way positionally
and with the tools that you still do have available on defense to try and tame it, because
they're being overwhelmed at the moment, Sharper is entering from so many positions so quickly,
a mix of direct fights as well as lurk, like they are manipulating the map so well and Fury just
don't have the read that's needed, so they invest with the time out, just one round remaining in the half
So it's a bit of an all-in-play here from their side, the cold-out, and we'll see if they can hit the scoreboard.
I honestly think this might sound outlandish, but I just play Vigil and just sit him somewhere and make sure he doesn't get joined, and then just kind of counteract the aggression from Sharpa with then someone that could disrupt it by being in a bit of an off-medic position, catching him off guard.
They're like scopers, they're like stupid, like the Raj and they're not like, slowly pushing towards the building, getting on the balcony, throwing drones in the air.
No one's got drones right now, nobody's sitting there, not even watching pre-placed drones.
It's just full heads up from Shafa.
Let's see what time this fight will take place, they could go for the Capitao Maven to play here.
This is going to be quick, he's going to follow off on these 10 dollars, he's not just throwing
these into create a party.
Oh, Kineki though!
Well, Crit J is staring through the window a little bit too long as the plant's going
down from Napew, he's saying if they've got to deny they will, as Napew is downed.
BG man though, along with Blackhull is playing the sniper rifles perfectly, it's another
one down for Sharpa, 2v1.
Roldini makes it a 1, V1 on default, but now that gets shot out as peeps inside a solo.
Does he think about potential revives?
Or does he want to take on Roldini himself?
VG man outside of the building, how about that for a free kill and again the round is
over within a minute.
Oh, that was the half, wasn't it?
Yeah, it was.
Oh well, we're at the halftime break.
Well, that was some fast tempo from Sharpa Esports, five straight rounds on the attacker
shell later, taking commanding 5-1 lead into the second half.
As they go defense, I jokingly said during the half-time break to you, guys, that what
do they do now?
Do they just run out of the building and just sprint at fury?
I say it jokingly, but I'm almost half expecting it.
Yeah.
I think if I know at this point we'll see
Yeah, how much the pacing does actually switch up in the second half as for the bands it is a lot ace into one my and
they must
Look, this is like the I mean drinks aside. This is actually an important neck. Oh, no
It's a chef Jeff Jeff Jeff. Oh
Alibis not any better. Oh my god a second. Oh
I haven't seen that for a very long time.
Look again, jokes aside, if Sharpa continue dominating in this matchup, it gives Teistar an in and they won't have to beat Ray-Babe by a huge margin, so this is actually quite important.
So if Sharpa were to win 7-1, which is clearly a possibility, that would be a minus 6 round differential to Fury, which would put them on minus 3.
Daystar are currently on minus five. It means as it currently stands, Daystar would need to win
seven four at or better than that, but seven four would be the minimum. So denying Waybo from
getting five or more rounds, which look again, it's unlikely, but it's closer to a possibility
than us going into the last game saying Daystar need to win seven zero.
Oh, timing peeps, you gotta know the timing on the spawn. He panicked into my little unfortunate.
Either way though, retains life, Sharpa. Pardon me if you may have been included into that and
been ready to swim the angle anyway. Very flawed defense here on offer from Sharpa, it's basically a
5 man room seems if the rank straps will continue here into the second half and
there's the alibi I do wonder is that the first alibi entry of the year into
one play yeah I mean look again I'm not gonna go and do the math and check but
yes I could I don't know if I can see I'll say how long it takes
There'll be something to do. There's no analysis of this game, so I've had to find myself using it.
The game might be over, so I don't know. Maybe stay with this here.
Because it could take a while.
They just want to fight. They just want to have some fun.
Beach event, not just that. That one just went up in the air and then fell straight back down.
No real arc on that swing.
It also means a fury. They're also just kind of stockier at these balcony and exterior positions
because they know they're trying to enter the building, there's probably two or three players that are going to be challenging them on that entry.
Finally, they've got some semblance of control towards top library.
This peeps wins the battle against the Blackbeard.
APU gets rid of Kineki.
It is a 2 vs 3 still in favour of Sharper on the defense.
So, no, it was not the first entry on Alibi this stage, it was actually SSG over Outlast,
Trevmak got a kill on to Dream in the last round of that matchup on the Alibi.
That was back in kickoff.
So, first entry kill on Alibi for the stage.
Uh, yeah.
That'll do.
2v2, 45 seconds, 10 seconds of the year.
Every round so important for Fury, even in the off chance of a day-star result.
Oh, could you imagine?
Every round of the year, man.
Let's say Fury don't make top 4 because of the permutation of day-star winning and them getting blown out here.
Would that be the worst way to miss out on the top 4 we have ever seen?
I can't think of any question.
Oh, hang on. Tap, tap, tap from both of them.
And this one connects onto Lebron, Sharper.
Now very much likely to get to six.
Dark will win the 1v1 against PG.
Man, nine seconds to grab kit.
Eventually then go for plant.
Like Cole is in a really good position on being three seconds.
No kit.
He grabs it.
He ain't getting back to site though.
It's 6-1.
That one took a little bit more time.
That one round took as long as the last two combined.
But it's still 6-1.
Five straight match points, but most importantly now for Fury, they need to still get maybe another round or two. It could have big ramifications.
Oh boy.
It's feeling like one of those nights right now.
I mean, it's laugh. It's fun and games for Sharper every time you look at them. They just can't stop pertaining themselves with laughter, but...
This is no jerky matter for Fury. They're leaving the door ajar for Daystar to pull off one of the greatest
Final Play Day clutches we have probably ever seen in the APL.
And sometimes you just need that door to be ajar just to have that extra maybe 5-10%
Oh if I'm Daystar right now watching this I'm Ging up, I'm locked in.
Waiber who? You got nothing to lose.
And Waiber have nothing to gain from that game.
I suppose the top spot finish would be sharper if they go on to win this in regulation.
Of course we'll jump them on points so if Waiber have any care about finishing first, they'll be worried about that.
But should be largely inconsequential so...
Yeah, could be an interesting game next.
Oh, I like how this is going for the death trap strat.
If this works, oh no.
Mark with the OPT, I want an AP though, 15 seconds into the round.
I wonder if there's a small chance that AP tried to pretend to be an alibi, Prisma.
Oh, yeah, that's a good call maybe.
Genuinely think that.
Let's see if this works.
Let's see if the trap works.
Hey, back to the thermite. Oh, as Critchade goes down, there's a chance of Yuri to get another round.
And the margin at the moment as things stand. If this ends up 7-1, Daystar have to beat Wavego 7-4 or better.
If Yuri win this round, it becomes 7-3 or better.
Sharpa look as if they're gonna get Fury into a much better position. It seems
that will be the case as it's almost flawless from Fury. The shenanigans have
been fun and games from Sharpa but in this round it does bite them, bite them
massively.
My Colossus up to 10 kills by the way, I don't even know, look big round from Fury out, every
round they can get here is quite important.
You don't want to be leaving too much to chance in that final game of the day, so solid work
from them there, very disciplined there late round, sharper of course, trolling around
the map a little bit, I fought them for that, it's been successful for them today.
and games up next and as you mentioned it now means they still need to win the
next game 7-3 as it stands but you can make that more challenging if they can
get a couple more rounds the board here
well I think for Sharpa I don't think they care at all if they give rounds away
here to Fury they're gonna just keep playing to have some fun play some fun
ops run around the map look for spawn peaks and with that if fury of you would hope by now
have clued on to how sharper are clearly playing they're not going at item 10% here they're not
playing strategical default methodical siege they're having some fun and they get that they're
afforded that ability because they did the work in the first six play days but it means for fury
this actually is good news for them because sharper are playing fun brand of siege and you can punish
that. If they're going to be playing Oryx, Vigil, and Skopos and running around the map,
well, spend a bit more time droning. Let your Blackbeard be the entry. Be safe as you push
up to the building. All of these things are pretty easy to accomplish, and then Fury can then get
to three rounds. That then means they start having to beat Waybo 7-2, and that's just not going to
happen. I mean, I still think Waybo aren't going to allow Daystar to beat them at all.
I want to leave it down the chance. Jay gets the first pick on to Roldinian. That's what I'm
I'm talking about there like and could he have spent an extra five ten seconds on drone maybe I mean
Yeah, Kinecky this time gets the kill on the running out like oldest punish that sort of behavior and you're gonna book your place in the top four
Oh, I took a little longer than he would have liked to secure that kill and it's
Now we'll have Fury back into the round courtesy of Labyrinth also hitting the Skull Board.
BG Man over towards Bar, Peep's still with pressure above. I like this position.
I think Peep says the ability to be pretty influential here in the round.
And BG Man of course has the safety of the Bar position.
Now I could discipline Droning though. This is smart.
I'm gonna clear corners here if you're fury.
Let's see if they can make the default plant.
You know, Sharpa kind of giveth and taketh here if you taste our watching along because they go 6-1 up and you think, geez, they've done us a solid here.
But now it's looking more likely to be 6-3, although the timing peeps! Never mind!
And Giveth one last hope for her on base troops.
At a 7-2 result, leaves a slight chance still for Daystar, heading into the last game of the evening.
Dark's got a minute to try and get another round for Fury, which could be oh so important
Bastard position for BG. Oh that does get exposed. I thought it was going to be safe. It's on
And peeps clutch up. Could you imagine? Oh, hang on timing. Oh, peeps made noise. Dark's hit. Oh, he
He thought it was right side.
Pete swings, contact made, another tap and he finishes it off!
7-2, lock it in!
Sharp up, now looking hot, heading into finals for Fury.
Their fate is not decided, it is unknown heading into the final game of the stage.
What they do know though, is it's still likely they should take finals,
But the waiting game now begins as they will sit on the sidelines and watch as Weibo and Daystar will soon do battle.
I think you can see it there on the player cams, body language of Fury. They aren't too pleased with that result.
They will know the implications heading into this night. A loss if it was close, probably okay, but a loss of this magnitude.
It does leave a very small chance that they will not make top four as for sharper though
I had already confirmed themselves and farmers position prior to this play day
But now as it stands courtesy of all three points, they are
provisionally in first place is up to way better to take it back
Yeah, so it puts fury on minus two
They start currently on minus five
So they have to make up, of course, the four positions because they cannot be equal.
They can't.
The day start minus two, they don't have to head to head, so they need to get to minus
one.
That's plus four round if you do the math, that's a seven three result or better.
So that's where it will stand heading into the last game and Fury's fate is in the hands
of Wayvo.
But that's a pretty safe answer.
I don't think Fury's going to be sweating too much.
Uh, I think they can trust that Wayvo should get the job done.
And certainly the fact that Wayvo only have to get, uh, four rounds.
And again, I think they'll be pretty comfortable for Sharper Esports.
A little bit of fun.
The first round, Oteams went into it like we're going to play some normal seed.
Sharper said, you know what, that's boring.
Let's speed it up and then just go fire straight in the quickest half you will
ever see closing out seven to dominance from create J 12 and six, like
colis cannon for the 144 ETS, the MVP inside of the server.
Naki tried his best and quite a few did certainly on Fury,
but there was no stopping Sharpa the night.
They were clinical and it sets us up now
for one last remaining game for this group stage of Asia,
which has soon to be Wayboat versus Daystar.
And it's been said that it's all led to this.
Many things and strange things have happened before,
but it would take maybe the funniest
and strangest thing of all time to play out.
I mean, we would have to see
Waybo's basically inability to lose group stage matches
completely flip and for it to be dominant
for the start it would play.
Yeah, it's un-bathemable at this point,
but it is a possibility
and Fury have left themselves vulnerable to that.
We're just waiting to get the interview ready
with like Hollis before we will then transition our sort of discussions to that last game
of the night, but for Sharpa, I mean, I've done what a stage. I said it yesterday in
the interview with like Hollis, but like in general, they pretty much right now are the
favorites to go to a Saka in the sense of the two slots. So maybe not the number one
seed, but you know, they're in that top two position. Let's go to our interview with like
Like, all of us again though, who had a lot of fun tonight.
Like, all of us siege is a fun game sometimes, isn't it?
And you guys, why can't you just decide it?
Let's have some fun.
Was that the general message, certainly,
in that first half and then the follow-through
into the second?
It is.
We kind of try to play or no more siege,
but then just have some fun.
I would say if we lose then, we should be top three,
we should like play with a easier than elevator wait but um somehow like um it
hardly would win when we like just playing around so um we have to accept
we have to accept that and just uh play to win yeah yeah congratulations on the
win Nate now because you guys smashed fury there is a very small chance that
they start to take this spot in finals but they would need to beat weibo 7-3 at
Best or at worst 7-3 anything better than that would be great. How do you see that match playing up?
Do you think there's a chance that they start could be way better when make the top 4?
I think that's always a chance, but I mean personally, I hope there's a wouldn't make it because
In my opinion, they start always have some power in them in that like playoff in like if I qualify they always like
like who's out and then perform really good.
Oh, I'm really happy that this somehow is out.
Obviously like all of us now that the group stage is finished
and your campaign comes to an end with finals on the horizon.
Do you kind of view the overall group stage now as a success
and very much in the best position possible
going into finals to secure one of those spots
to get to the Osaka Major?
Yep.
I think either like second players are third in practice here, like if there's a chance to play one more game before hitting Wraithball.
So, I would say it doesn't matter that we like play in risk position in the playoffs, we actually have to beat every team.
Yeah, that's my opinion.
Have no spot on. Anything you'd like to say like Hollis, before we bid you farewell?
I'm about to head out to watch some movie, thank you.
Okay, go join your movie like homeless, best of luck in finals.
Thank you.
Oh, it's responding, a quick little game of seeds, which was about, I think, 30 minutes.
They don't give us stuff about this last game.
I don't care.
7-2, 7-2, 7-2.
Well, maybe that could vote well for Daystar
because if they win 7-2 over Weibo,
they would be into finals.
It's the big task and it all leads to this.
Harambe's final hope, final chance.
Daystar, pull it off.
I'm sure you're going to love it.
I'm sure you're going to love it.
I'm sure you'll be able to see that in the next video, but I'll see you in the next video.
I didn't have anyone who could beat DD, so everyone decided to join DD.
Since I was a kid, I've been playing in CZ.
There's no more interesting games.
So until I win, I can't stop playing in CZ.
When I was little, I was born and raised in a car race for about 3 years.
I didn't want to be different from other people.
As much as possible, I think that the sports and ballet and basketball that can be done in a car race
have grown mentally within me.
Yes, I think my brother is a person who doesn't know what illness is.
It might be a bit strange to say that he is the same person, but he treated me the same way.
So, I'm really grateful to my family.
The team is important to the family, so we have to say what we want to say, and fight what we have to do.
We are able to do that in the team, so it's important.
I feel like I did a good job at winning the game, but if I lose, I wonder why I lose.
It's like, I'm too weak, right?
I've been at home all the time.
Yeah, if I'm told, I'll just ignore it.
I'm like, really, watch the next one.
So, I'm saying, watch the next one every time.
That's the end of the story.
You call me, I'm getting done
Easy check in the morning
I swim in the fans, I'm getting all ready
Trying to keep a cool cool reggae
But I'm not a living woman
I'm gonna post it
I wait for you tonight
That you could survive, you'll die, die
I never had a ring
When the world gives it to my phone
Phone, oh hey
I'm a fuck fuck killer killer
Like a zombie, thawin' in killer killer
Yes, it's the first time I've seen you
You and me was my mission, right?
You know you'll never be here
Don't ever give up
Cause it feels so right
You gotta use your time
I'm a real man, I'm a real man
I'll put my hands up, I'll put my hands up in the back
I can't take it anymore
That's the only way
I can't take it anymore
The final game and the last chance for Daystar and the fact that they even have a chance in itself is already the best case scenario heading into this game against Weibo.
But that in itself is also the worst case scenario. They have to beat Weibo. They have to beat them also 7-3 or better will do.
does
Games rend the numbers last night and it's over
360 days or something along those lines since anyone in this region has beaten Wayvo on a map
What better time to do it if you taste our because if you do it you do it well enough
They will head into the top four. Let's get underway Wayvo gaming
There's not much that needs to be said about this roster about this team. They're gonna have some fun tonight
They're also in a position, though, where if they lose this game in the fashion near
the day start, they will actually drop out of that top spot and find themselves in second
place for the group stage.
Again, it doesn't really have large implications.
It would be annoying if you elevate because you'd rather play sharper.
So elevate right now sitting back, hoping that Weber gets the job done.
But again, for Weber, I don't think they care if they're first or second.
I'm gonna probably have some fun in this match.
Yeah, well, yeah, I agree to an extent.
I still think Wave will be wanting to be protective of that record as you're outlined and I want to continue to just play
Siege, they're not gonna be...
Yeah, I suppose in the ultimate end result, they're not going too fast,
but they'll still want to go into this kind of game and play well and probably not
replicate what we saw in the F5 game for instance, right, where they got off to a really slow start.
I mean, it looks like they're just working out of bed, so they've already lost round one.
So if you count that one in, that's the way they always live round one.
It's going to be beyond that whether or not they're able to switch on quickly
or if we see that slow start coming to fruition again.
What if they win round one and then they've been another round after that?
Maybe the reverse, the inverse way of coming out of the plate tonight.
Look, I think that they're just such a quality output that they genuinely get the job done in this match.
I don't want to be kind of leading into this game, giving people the first hope.
hope this is a monumental task for Daystar.
Daystar are going to have to play the best seed, they probably haven't played if they
can defeat his Bowerhouse team.
But at the very least, they've got good reason to try and bring out the very best of themselves
because there is that small window of an opportunity to still play finals.
Now, if this had been a case where a 7-5 win was good enough to get top 4, I would feel
more hopeful than I am, but I just don't see personally for me how they make up the gap
in a 7-3 win was better against this team in Wayboat. It's not going to be easy, but
you've got to try it and at the very least they get that chance because there was every
opportunity tonight that we could have had into this final game and it was a complete
dead rubber. So that's the saving grace that today's start. They can control their own
fate now.
Yeah, it's hard to disagree, I am genuinely excited and hopeful for this matchup because
there is the prospect of a massive, heroic story from the side of Daystar, but what makes
it such a tantalizing prospect is just how far out of reach it really is.
It's one thing to see them be quaver, that in itself would be remarkable, but to then
see to dominate them and get their anti-ferentia required is a whole different kettle of fish.
It's also going to be dependent on start sides as well if they're attacking first before
getting more difficult. I'd love to put myself in the minds of the day star outfit right now,
how they're feeling about this challenge, is it a pretty more pressure? Do they feel like it's such
an outside chance that they'll just go in and see what happens? It's so difficult to say, but let's
Let's hope they give it their best shot.
Well, last time these two teams met,
stage one of the bracket final.
Dexter won the opening map in our series on Lab 7-5.
Fortunately, that result wouldn't be good enough
in this match as we go clubhouse for this final game.
The first time this stage,
Waveover will not be on either fortress or lair.
The good news for Dexter is they will start on defense.
It gives them the best fighting chance
to not only get the win,
but do so in a convincing enough fashion,
which is 7-3 or better to get into finals as we enter the final match for APL Asia group stage.
Three are locked in, Fury sit on the sidelines now, curing on Waypo,
as Daystar get to enter the server to fight for top four.
A huge match up, let's see if it lives up to the billing.
It's all on Daystar to offer something here.
There's such little expectation to see them win this game or do so dominantly,
But you never know, you gotta see it play out before you can make any judgement.
Fortunately, they are defending first. That gives them naturally a little bit of a boost.
In a style of match where every round is critical.
Let's see the bans roll through RIM and the mirror up first.
We'll see if that's accompanied with more utility on the side of the attack in terms of flush out.
out and then obviously defensively it's probably going to be the coyote of the bandit.
No, all your route. Okay, so that's interesting going to maybe open a bit more
routes for hard breach on the side of Weibo if that's something that they look to lean into.
What's reducing XE ops really, isn't it? So I think Daystar in this half are just going to try
and play this as conservative as possible. They'll give up ground but then they'll say Weibo won't
have maybe as many of the tools to actually then execute into the site dislodge and kind of just
place our positions. That's kind of my reading on the bands from Daystar's perspective.
Because if you kind of try and challenge Weibo into those gunfights at the windows and
in a big aggressive room around the map, you're probably not going to win that battle.
Like, I think for Daystar, they've got to just try and play this, not so much.
You're almost in some ways need to kind of play this game to not win it, but to not lose it.
And then by that attitude on the defensive half, you hopefully
just get the rounds as a byproduct. Look, this would be an all-timer. If they can beat
Wayboy 7-3 or better and get into finals, that would be, I'd be up there as an all-time
Siege moment in the APAC region, maybe ever. It's just, but a real chance for them to
create some history here. And the other side of it too, I think for them, they've actually
come in a little bit nervous because they start, would know, they've got the quality
to do some damage in finals. If Daystar make finals, they're not filling the numbers. This
is not some tier 2 team that's making one last run of the Cinderella story. They get
to the top 4 and get a bit of a reset moment and then into Baster Trees. We heard from
like Hollis in the interview, they don't want Daystar in there. So that's the other side
of the coin is that Daystar no, they can do it. They could go on a run and it's often
to get the opening kill by Pika when searching and it's Weibo that strikes first blood.
Every moment critical for Daystar, opening kills, they cannot be affording, leaking them
too frequently here in the first half, Weibo, they're such a strong team at fighting from
deficit but when they have an advantage in this domestic style of games, typically their
opposition find it almost impossible to fight back. We'll find it generally very very challenging.
They will see what they start could do now though consolidate largely basement but they
still have the threat of seal over towards cash. Do Wavo have a read on this? I think they might?
Oh they definitely do. Big easy we'll spray at him say go away. A bit of a bug spray kind of
a player there just to keep him at bay and seal respects that and we'll stay
able to see see for now by the way way bit with the highest entry conversion in
the league 84 percent there's a 16 percent chance they start generally
winning this round it's very low timing here on the bottom red stairs peak
from Seal. He's got he was watching it. Gets rid of a couple of drones. That was actually
making his way back up top floor. 60 seconds left. Way bow prone for these first round
losses but while positioned as they look quite set up 5v4, Speakeasy's getting to work with
the skeleton key and eventually make their way down most likely Hot Main. Lay the smokes
and turd to then play off it on the glass but again this is the thing with the
band like there's no capital there's no grim what have you really got here to
dislodge these defenders of day-star but luckily for Wayvo they're pretty good
with gun in hand that first smoke didn't only do a whole lot and speak easy
though finds the kill onto a zuki anyway he slips into Arsenal going with the
cheeky little plant from bot main turd to then come up rotate was made on site
little too late and plant will go down and with that Wayvo now will take the
opening round here on Clubhouse. Oh, that's the Wayboat that we know. They don't care about no
daystar Cinderella story. They win the opening round flawlessly too, might I add. They maybe just
say, yeah, we're not going to go down that path of allowing you guys into the top four,
two rounds to go for Wayboat. There's Harambe looks on.
not the most positive of starts for day start and again if you are just joining
or you just want to be reminded if they start want to make finals if they start
are to make finals they need a seven three or better they can only drop two
more rounds now. That's one strike, got two to go.
Unfortunately, losing that first pick and Wayboat doing Wayboat things are at the end,
just putting on a clinic. They stunned. I don't hate the idea of trying to be disruptive,
but with that comes risk and they got caught out.
One million channel points were put on Daystar. Eight million on Wayboat.
Attackers have discovered the location of a bomb.
That's the payout then, like, it's not crazy.
Well, if I was to, I don't have any, yeah, it's 1 to 7.5.
I also accidentally put 10 channel points on the day stuff.
I don't even have any channel points, I don't even, oh no, I do, I've got 30,000 channel points.
All in.
All in on day stuff.
Absolutely not I wouldn't if they start make finals you're shaving your head
No, no, no
You've changed that well you can only do that every now and then to add emphasis on you know
Oh, if any of this one you should go further. I reckon it's more than shaving your head. I don't know what the step up
This is after be shaving
They're more creative
Pretty easy band account there, they should've been in the window, okay?
I don't know how Daystar expected that to work without the castle, but evidently it
didn't.
Mavric can play anyway.
There's some peculiar strategic decisions from Daystar in this round, and Waybo just
half it off going through the checklist.
Yeah, again, it's like I said, after we saw the bands, the playstyle of Daystar is following
exactly that they just want to try and keep this contained as possible don't allow way better get
first picks try and then fall back playside didn't work in the last round evidently so but that's
the strategy that they've employed coming into this game whether that's the right one or the wrong
one i mean it's really up to your own interpretation you can make an argument by saying that you're
affording way by so much time and space to create all these openings and avenues work through the
checklist you don't you know giving them any kind of you know run-out potentials
or aggression at windows and jump outs so they don't have to really worry too
much about that you've got to mix it up so I wouldn't be totally upset and
that's a nice nitrous off from azuki but I don't he gets the down he's not even
aware of it I'm ticking spicy situation now for
Waybo speak easy back on his feet as the final parts of YouTube clearance be deployed courtesy of REAPS
Although that's clearly having limited success this breach as well only a line of sight for Hoffen
This is a good test of for Waybo. This is a tricky round. We'll see how they problem solve it or if they can problem solve
They do get the opening kill
I think a lot of pressure towards this jacuzzi, rich as Yao, the last one remaining for Daystar
already getting the feeling and it's not going to happen for them. God, he gets the blank
down. 1v2, make it 1v1 as Turd puts it into it. 2-0 for Weibo Gaming, two rounds away
from knocking Daystar out of the stage.
Uh-oh.
They start not in a very strong position, Weibo as expected, checking out for another
dominant result.
Which are really shouldn't be all too surprising.
Weibo, across their first three play days in particular, super dominant, 7-1 over 9-9,
71 over Dolphin 72 over Fury and it did Titan over the course of the next three seven five over F5
75 over sharper and of course that OT against elevate eight to six
The belts did tighten a little bit through the the second half of this stage, but
It would be in front of a rebound here. They look
Difficult to beat and on a map like club it
I know it's tough, the day start regardless of what map you go to, you're probably in
strife, but I gotta say, like Clubhouse is not where I'd be taking Waver.
You gotta find a map somewhere where you can actually play with freedom and unpredictability.
This is the most predictable map in the pool.
But I also want to try and get in as to what you exactly said, I don't know where else
you'd go, and we'll be able to get you here at best one.
Waybowl have protected their map pool so well of the group stage that you don't truly know what they're actually good or bad on.
Yeah.
Or potentially a little bit worse.
Well, they're good on club. They wouldn't, I taste I should have known this.
Waybowl are a good clubhouse team.
Yeah, I genuinely just don't think there was ever going to be a map that I look at and think, well, that's the chance.
Internationally, the record for Waybowl on clubhouse this year is...
Well, firstly, they played at four times this whole year, 7-1 over Daystar, so that's a really red flag, 7-0 over EP, 8-6 over VP,
that is pro, and then 5-7 lost to Dark Zero at the Esports World Cup, so that's a pretty good record on this map.
You can probably get the sense even from the way we're speaking now, the air has probably deflated from this matchup,
considering weibo's hot start.
Yeah, it's a bit of a shame.
I was very excited for the potential of the impossible in this game,
but it feels like we've been given the reality check.
The advantage again for weibo here, round 3.
Seal in the grave, 0-3 for him.
For what has been challenging stage not just for him of course, but the entire team
We'll see if they could tap into some some kind of inspiration this round and bring it back
Seal has been really good this stage as an individual though actually fourth overall with only 123
Eps
Unfortunately he won't play a role and so far today's had no impact
I didn't quite catch the timing.
Oh, hang on.
Oh, no.
Man, it's those little moments not going the way for Daystar either.
When you get that small little window, that small little chance to maybe find a kill,
now they know that Azuki's watering around.
Stock slash lounge.
Reaps with the whistle and on the move with the vent depth up.
The second is remaining in the round.
Reaps low, so he knows it's not a favorable contest for him.
Suspected Asuki to then swing him.
He did.
Down the kill.
The battle towards the site being won via Weibo.
As Pika will die to Hoven right here, right now,
and with that, Weibo are on three.
And it means for Daystar, seven straight is required.
Fury.
Now, one way around away from being locked into finals.
Okay, but what if they do it?
What if they get seven straight Jake to make the top four?
Ah, I mean if they get four.
Or?
Or, or they lose another round and then they win.
Well, you know what's interesting actually,
you mentioned that I was thinking that during the break
was imagine day start, I win seven, four or seven, five.
But I don't think that's gonna happen now.
I'm out from Harambe, who will probably at this point just relay the message like,
which, straight up, can't lose another round down.
We need to play a lot better and all of those things.
We actually did speak to Harambe yesterday in the interview, guys, with James,
and I kind of posed the question, you know, are you going to kind of tell them,
you know, what's the stakes, like, you know, these are the rounds, the margins, all of these things.
And to be honest, you're at the point now where if you haven't really said it or really spoken about it,
about it, which to be fair, Daystar, that the players would know. At this point time out,
down 3-0, you may as well add it in. It's not going to make it any worse. At this point,
you may as well say, we just straight up can't lose another round, we need to play better,
and we need to go for it. You have nothing to lose at this point, but to win Savage
straight against Weibo is not possible. This one's done, and it's devastating for Daystar,
but they only have themselves to blame throughout the stage and they're up and down performances
and the question will be what the bounce back looks like for them and I still think they're the
kind of team that will be a threat and you know SILCQs. That's not exactly a I mean that's a
pathway they've used before and I think that's one that they will eventually look to as their way
to get to the six invitation or yeah I just think like where has it all gone
wrong for day start I don't know how much actually just one result it's
literally one result it's the fury result I know I know in terms of not
making top four but they're definitely playing below where we've seen them and
I'm trying to attribute that to is it matter I really don't think it is I
don't think it's map pool like it's got to be under the surface the stuff that
we don't see or hear in terms of like, um, homes and synergy, et cetera.
Like, I can't pinpoint it to a specific part.
That's outside of their control that's attributed to this downfall.
I, I think it has to be them looking at each other in the eye and be like,
we need to step it up because as a team, clearly we've fallen below our standard.
And because it was such a high standard, I think that's why it's,
Tom is a bit of a shock that they found themselves in this position.
And that's, you know, respecting how well they've done in the past,
that it is a little shocking to not see them make top four.
I mean, the thing is, if they had have beaten Fury
back on plate A4, they would've been finals.
That one result flip would've got them into the top four.
But their three losses would've been against
the other three teams above them anyway.
So you're right that there's clearly a lot
that's going wrong, that you couldn't beat
at least one of Waymo, Sharpa, or Alivate,
and then you also lost to Fury.
So they don't deserve to make finals because of that.
If you're not beating the four teams above you,
you're not going to make finals.
So you're right, there's a lot that they're
going to have to sort through.
But I was going to say, not everything is linear.
You're not always just going to have this upward trend.
You have your peaks and your valleys,
and you have your ups and your downs.
And that's for Daystar now as a team,
as a collective organization to work through in the off season,
and then eventually turn their attention to SILCQs.
And then beyond that, the start of next year,
Which I think there's so much quality on this roster that you're almost expecting that they will eventually bounce back at some point.
I hope they don't...
...blow it all up. That would be quite silly after one Hall stage.
Did you get the opening kill in this fourth round? Again, reminder, they need to win seven straight rounds now.
To qualify for finals.
Out of the tactical timeout, slow buildup in this fourth round has turned...
Catches a Zookie running into sight.
Ufley though, then does deal with Speakeasy on the Blackbeard with the clash still up.
This looks like a very widdable round out for Daystar.
Definitely a good position.
Seems they've been able to refocus after the fact time out.
heard in memorial there with good radar info on the three members of the defense
trying desperately to get a pick back souffle lands a blow onto hoven leaving turd all alone
could this be the start of the streak for daystar yeah i mean i'm not going to get into that like
seven straight seven straight against the team of weibo's quality when eventually they'll also
have to then do this on the attack but you've got to have belief and you see the vists pumped there
from Harambe. I think a cleanest start would have made this far more likely if a day start.
They had it going through the first rotation and they were 3-0 up. I would have said at
that point it's game on, but you start 3-0 down and need to win 7-straight. I just don't see it.
That might sound pessimistic, but I'd be incredibly surprised if they now win another 6-straight
after this. This is not about being competitive. This is not about, you know, trying to push
Waybo as far as you can. This is about a one particular result now. You have to win 7-3
or otherwise it doesn't matter. You could win the next five and go 6-3 off and then
lose the next round and it just doesn't matter. You could then win 7-4. It just doesn't matter.
As great as it would be. If anything, I think it would actually sting more. I think it would
be easier for Daystar to swallow the pill if Webber go 4-1 up and think okay well it's
done now but if they were to somehow go on a big run then go 5-3 up 6-3 up and think
oh my god we're gonna do it and then they fall short that would be devastating I almost
don't want that to happen for them.
Now let's see, and Webber have a tendency of crushing dreams like that, it just depends
in what form it takes for this match. Back over to Bedroom Gym for the fifth round. As
Weber continue to play a very checklist sort of brand to see each year on club, they're
sticking to the basics, they're continuing to bring a combo of hard breach and neutral
clearance, they're making Daystar uncomfortable on these power positions. And then they were
able to capitalise on that. So they got about this round, but seeming like it's probably
much the same in terms of the Kennel side clear. They saw already found themselves under
immediate pressure here on the anchor on the side. Reterra is used this time around to
counteract the bandit on the jacuzzi ball. And so that will open up the route for second
is all a rotation from speak easy later on he is over towards kennels currently
and a garage he'll link up and aid on the clear for cc across it takes all this hold from daystar
it's looking like azuki will play a big role although he rotates con
and so without making much contact daystar peel back to the site
Open and kill for third so far 100% open and kill conversion rate in this match, Hovhend
to double down than the advantage with Wayboe.
Halfway through this fifth round, they start now facing elimination.
Need peek a souffle in a zuki.
Pull off this fifth round, keep Hope alive.
One last kendala for Hovhend.
Got him back in position towards Jim Window and as peek up falls.
Harambe's hope looks as if it will fall alongside them and it's all over.
Weibo will eliminate Daystar from finals contention and the Sombra Faces say it all.
Yeah, that sucks, it's a gut punch for Daystar.
What's this, Lonnie?
You're the kind of guy that laughs at a funeral, Jake?
You just said there's a cut punch for Taystar.
I'm way bigger than a get off of a piece of spin.
No, they don't do a lucky deal. They'll be fine.
Well, it's unfortunate for Taystar.
And again, it's...
It's not a one game. You don't miss out on finals because of one game. So it's as devastating as it is
this was
Always probably the reality. I think in the back of their minds. They would have known coming in to tonight that even if
You know the elevate result maybe went their way or the fury result went their way
Even then which it did the fury result went their way
To probably as good as you could ask for considering 7-2 is still quite a beatdown.
I don't think we were ever expecting Sharper to probably win 7-0, so the opportunity did present
and they needed a good start. Like, deciding on defense club, you needed to probably go through
that first rotation to really believe that they could do it, but Waybo are the kings of this
region for a reason and I think there's also a small part of Waybo that I think they're probably
happy to be the ones to actually knock Daystar out. Don't forget like it's really been the
Waybo and Daystar show in Asia since stage two last year. So there's a rivalry there
to an extent and I think the Waybo they'll be happy to see the back of Daystar heading
into their finals campaign looking ahead to the Osaka Major.
Waybo continue to lean heavily into the Maverick, it's been successful for them thus far.
We've worked down on Kennel's early.
This one should be over pretty quickly. I think Daystar will...
I mean, shutdown is really no motivation for them at this point.
And Waybabe will be looking to compound this advantage
as they storm back to first place in the standings.
Reaps potentially here for the pin-shit.
logic and again the flow is in play for the usual clearance this could be
interesting still jump out play more shot okay that was pretty good so a
little play there heads up call from daystar and isn't the advantage
and look with the pressure off now for daystar I wouldn't be surprised if they
actually do get some rounds and make this competitive as best as they possibly can.
I think also for Waybo, while they want to finish this off and get this done as
pretty quick as they can, they would also know that job done from their side in terms of knocking
Daystar out. So the fuel in this game has now ran dry. It's done. Both teams are now on a full
on dead rubber scrim. So Waybo then want to probably then look to be more conservative,
not show as much here on clubhouse in the event that they do play this map either in finals then the
Osaka major you want to reduce as much vision as possible you're going to keep this as default
you're not going to play any tricks and do things that you might want to do at the international
events and that will then allow a day star who had no longer got any pressure to maybe get themselves
a couple of rounds here and make it competitive.
Well 15 seconds remain, they start putting up a good but ultimately unnecessary fight
and Wayvo's stalled out.
Oh wow, they've stalled out and then three and four and it's only Izuki left pushing
up Red Stairs to add further insult to injury.
It's now a five to one-half in favour of Weibo Gaming doing what Weibo usually do, and that's win.
what are we doing with this music? what are we doing? come on.
hey i'm not the DJ, i'm not the DJ. we need to do better with the music. there's some real
bangers on the playlist and then there's some real snoozy songs. Although I guess this
is now a pretty snoozy game, isn't it? So maybe it's a little bit fitting.
Yeah, just get it done, Wave. Just get it done, guys. No messing around. Come on. Lock
in.
Yeah. No funny jump outs. No random fun plays. Get it done. But I do want one, I have one
request, which is whether we win this 7-2 to complete the four games all ending 7-2.
That's a little thing I'd like to finish on.
Okay, well, we'll see if you get your little wish.
Maybe it is make a wish, day, Jake, just for you.
Surely, we've done so many stages now across many regions over the last 60, surely there's
been a day where we've had the same score line in all four games.
That has to have happened.
I can't imagine it's not happened by now.
Um, well look if you want to go digging being my guest, but uh, I would not be doing that.
I'm gonna say it's happened, but because I've said it's happened, maybe it hasn't happened,
so now I'm concerned.
But, surely.
Yeah, that's the 7-2.
finals ahead so what finals a lock did now guys now we can start to speculate a little bit
fury elevate weibo sharper easy to say that in terms of I guess the one seed and the two seed
weibo being the one seed as they will jump back into first place they're the favorites to get to
Osaka but the elevate sharper game is going to be very intriguing that 2v3 to see who gets the
the upper bracket final and not going to fully discount fury but the likelihood is they'll
make they'll need to make a lower bracket run as they play way bow first how do you think
it's all going to shape up well wait but we'll finish first I can agree on that right that
win the grand final they'll win the upper final as for the rest I know it's the easy
clock out answer but I generally have no idea I think it's going to be really competitive
Fester 3 is going to be so different. There are ones in how they play out, so I genuinely
think that Sharpa Fury elevate all of them have a pretty serious shot. If I had to narrow
it to one, I think it's hard to look past Sharpa, but again, a Fury and elevate a serious
shot so I think we've made the finals very interesting. I'm glad they have two spots.
So fly back to site for Wayboat. Chair Charles wanted to start the second half.
Again a reminder that we are now, oh, firmly in the dead robber scenario of Speakeasy from
below cast just ahead of yow nothing from here will matter in terms of finals now locked in
and weber also
a one round well technically not one round oh
weber still need to get at least two points to secure the top spot but
but I think that's gonna happen, you can't stand there, you can't park there mate, you
can't, there's, there's, you're just waiting for a mate, I think there's might be four
loss from Wayboat, uh they say understandably have basically given up, fair enough, can't
blame them, and Wayboat we're just sort of toying with them at the moment, what is second
maybe they can make some kind of motor job work but it looks unlikely no
and then what another amazing stage as well from where I think we take the
dominance for granted in this region doing it for so long now that we as APAC
fans are just kind of waiting and with baited breath that they will eventually make an incredible
run at an international event because then you know that the capabilities are there. Six one up.
I wonder if they've got a movie night as well.
I want to know what movie uh
Sharpa was going to watch. I might ping like holos and ask him if it was any good or not.
President evil apparently.
I think that movie is actually pretty well acclaimed, the trailer is pretty cool.
I don't really do horror movies very well though, a bit of a warzone when it comes to
that.
Also apparently we are copying some flak for not being a fan of the half time jazz music.
This is the problem here, I want the list updated, but you gotta give the people what
they want, if they want jazz they get jazzed, you need to make it a collaborative effort
from the APL community, or I think the 2027 playlist.
Well, how many rounds to go in this one?
Will we get the clean 7-2 across the day,
or will Wayberg get this done in a 7-1
and add it to a long string of 7-1 results
that they have had over the course of this stage,
I'm sure throughout the year as well
They continue to dominate. There's no reason to question their ability to go on and qualify for the major
And I'm sure many from APL
The fans at least and of course themselves will be hoping that they can actually go one step further
If and when they are to qualify for the event
Imagine a Weibo CIG Grand Final in Osaka. I
Could imagine we've been making the Grand Final maybe not CIG and that's no disrespect to CIG. I mean
I'm jokes aside, I find it.
I don't think you got to see any of them in the Grand Farner, but I would...
I wouldn't be complaining! I wouldn't be complaining!
I'm just a realist.
When they put the foot down and they just don't dominant, I mean...
It's pretty to watch.
I have that aura about them in this region, hence why I think the two slots is more important in Asia
than maybe any other region in APL.
They were terrifying and the reality sinks in for the lack of sharper and elevating fury
that if there weren't the two slots that probably are just making up the numbers and why they
would back themselves in to try and try they might, the gap is just too far.
As it's out of souffle and peek up, the last moments of seeing Daystart
or quite some time.
You won't see them again really until the SILCQs.
Ever since that Cinderella run, you think back to stage 2 last year,
it goes that all-bracket final, Elevate Daystar.
I remember going into that game saying,
Daystar had no chance, it was going to be a quick 2-0 if Elevate,
and they shocked us all.
all. But that Cinderella story has gotten to an end. Webo 7-1 made quick work of Daystar.
Harambe's hope is squashed in the blink of an eye. A near to win 7-3 but ultimately they
lose even worse than that. 7-1 as Webo sink the boot into the corpse of Daystar. Ugh. Very
graphic description there, Jay. I was gonna go for the photo analogy, but maybe that one's just had
a rough day for the day start. The odds were absolutely against them, it was almost impossible
to see them win this game, they might go on and do it in the Governor fashion that would ultimately
require for them to make top four. Ultimately, we kind of get the result that we expected.
Unfortunately, this isn't 2022 or however many years it's been since these G-scores facing off
would have been a competitive prospect, it's been a little while between drinks for Daystar
in particular, so I think we end the stage hopeful that Daystar can come back upon some
self-reflection and maybe, I don't think it is game meta, but maybe there's a couple of changes
to the game that could find them a bit of favor, that could kickstart a bit of momentum back their
way. Yeah, hopeful that they can rebound, I hope they don't crumble after this stage, and obviously
for Wave I was just more of the same, that this game is pretty much inconsequential for them outside
finishing first which does of course shake up the bracket a little bit. Yeah, no I don't think it's
going to make too much of a difference. A big game from Wayvo so let's go to the big game player.
It's Reeps coming in for a chat. It's the man in the middle, the legend. Congratulations Reeps on
the victory and another successful group stage. How did you guys feel coming into this game knowing
What was on the line for Daystar?
I have not much big feeling, but it's kind of sad because we saw
Daystar with a second spot, Daystar with the second guy going to Major, but now they can't make playoffs, so...
A not so serious question, Reeps. Have you seen Terzda's new hairstyle and do you like it?
No, I don't like it, but...
I'm not a fan.
Probably, yeah, so that's a shame.
So Reeps obviously finals locked in, making the top four, the number one seed, everything's going pretty much perfect.
How do you guys kind of keep the vibes going into finals and keep everything pretty much level-headed,
not getting ahead of yourselves and not thinking ahead too much to Osaka and more so just making sure that you get there first?
I know we make Pop A at EWC, but still we're still making a lot of progress in the new map,
so we just focus on ourselves, making some new progress every day, and yeah, just a everyday
like, UDG.
I did want to ask one last question, which feel free to answer or not, but was it a clear
Directive throughout the stage to try and minimize the map pool shown because you guys played predominantly just Laren Fortress
Or was that just a coincidence?
I think it's coincidence, but also both we picked Lair every event and
We lost almost every time and we want to practice in the official
That's a good answer. Reeps, I'll give you the floor anything that you would like to say any shout outs
Thanks for everyone supporting us and yeah
Thank you, Reeves, best of luck in finals
That's Keanu Reeves for you. Don't commend the myth of legend. Look we get seven two seven two seven one
About close
Not there
Disappointed for day start but congratulations in order as well for fury even after they got smashed by Sharpa
They will make finals pot four is locked in for them and look I think well Sharpa
I'm not sure if you would have
been able to do that. Yeah,
I'm not sure if you would have
lead like if you would have
kind of do a seeding of the
three besides way boat sharper
one. It's elevate to its fury
three, but it's close. I feel
like those three are closer than
any of the other three combined
versus way bow. Yeah, uh, look,
MVP is ready. Let's just jump
across to that because the
schedule all these games so
what was a glorified ranked match but that kind of environment suited him and he hit
one of the greatest clips that I think we've seen all stage with the sniper so that was
fun to watch and I'm hoping I'm really hoping that we see Cripp J in really good form when
it comes to farms because truly he is one of the best in the region when he's on form
when he's put in positions he's a great player and I know that I might have made this comment
a couple of weeks ago where it felt like in stage one he wasn't and he's planted his
He's numbers are still good stage wide, but they still trail what I truly believe is capable of so yeah
I think this MVP is well deserved for the day and he'll very much be hoping and the team as well that that isn't a one-off and that
In finals he can replicate that kind of dominance
That's being your dominance look at those round two French rules for the top three teams and then period
It's a bit of a standout, isn't it?
But it won't matter the round two French was irrelevant now into finals for these four teams two slots
We'll get two chances to qualify for Osaka.
So the upper final and the lower final,
they are the qualification matches,
the grand final itself.
Well, what does that mean?
It means it will be preceding implications
at the major itself.
Yeah, I'm just trying to sort of digest this bracket.
I think my initial reaction is,
for Fury, obviously, it's a tricky position.
They'll go in as heavy underdogs in that matchup
and provided you get the expected result there,
they'll then find themselves in that first round
wall of bracket with no room for error from that point onward so it's a little trickier for them
whereas for Sharpa elevate they'll both go in with a serious prospect of making that upper bracket
fine or learn you are just one game away and that can you know throw that into the mix it could be
quite interesting. Irrespective of seeding weibo of course we're going to be the favorites they
should make it through that upper bracket but look if they don't it would be a huge shakeup that
made the most very very interesting so yeah eager to see how it plays out very thankful very thankful
for that we have two slots in this region. If it was just the one, it would probably be a little
one-dimensional, but adding that sort of additional layer makes it much more exciting.
I think if we only had the one slot, the argument from us would be in Sharpa maybe be the one.
And so then therefore that leads into the conversation being that Sharpa probably hold
maybe the chance of that second slot, but they're still going to get the work done and
Sharpa Alivate is going to be quite an intriguing matchup to see how that's all going to unfold.
Don't forget NAL starting in I believe five hours and 20 minutes.
Oh, three minutes.
It's close. That's pretty good.
That's not too bad.
Yeah, so NAL is going to be on in five and a half hours.
I'm definitely not staying off NAL tonight, Michael.
We're not working it, so we're not staying up.
No, no.
And look, spoiler alert, Nick's on well.
So I'm going to have to jump in and clutch up for him tomorrow
and cast with James.
So I'm not off the hook just yet here when it comes to the stage.
you are so you can go get ready for the grand final up the Lions and yeah it's
been fun casting me through this stage and looking forward to finals seriously
it's gonna be good to be obviously back in the studio and get things rolling. I
cannot wait for finals to begin certainly when it comes to OZ where we
will be at PAX Melbourne Australia across the three days it's that's gonna
be a lot of fun for OZ for Asia the two slots APAC North the home major it's all
happening for APL and finals is on the horizon with that we did you fare well
and to everyone in chat of the Lions
