open number four here in the European region and boy did it deliver on
entertainment if you missed it you missed out we'll get you all cut up today

We've gotten through that first split.
We have the Boston Major out of the way.
We crowned some champions for that.
And now we're here in open four on our way to the Paris Major.
This is a doozy.
This is a big one, Johnny.
This is where a lot of the pros have their eyes set.
Oh yeah, it's World Championship at the end of the year, that's the big one obviously, but if you're looking for the next biggest event and it is going to be in some ways the biggest event in the history of the Paris Major, look no farther.
And with France, especially looking to regain from disappointing Lyon, there's a lot to play for.
Yeah, I think this is one that the people are just not going to want to miss including yourselves and make sure again if you haven't got your tickets that you're there.
Leon was debate something else and I expect we're going to see that same kind of energy in Paris, but we are you know
I mean one thing is for certain that Americans we like playing in France
So really excited to see what happens over there in power reading a couple months man. It's gonna be excited
Yeah, I'm so for that, but we got a lot of rock league to get through first

We've got five and six this will get through to so let's talk about what we've seen so far in open number four
looking back to yesterday. We had a lot of rocket league played. We're hopping
around, watch party style, taking a look at all the games, the exciting moments
were going on. And there was a lot of excitement. Let's take a look at group A
first, uh, because well, both groups did not let down. Uh, in terms of these
matchups, Shogun, right off the, the initial bracket. I mean, is there
there one team or one storyline that stood out to you? Hmm. I wonder who
could possibly be. Could it be
that the major champions got
eliminated in before we got even
to the top eight? Wait, what?
Yeah. I mean, they did that to
themselves. Didn't they, Johnny?
They've been putting themselves
in trouble. They've ruined their
own seeding by losing their
first round match in Swiss
against Chippy Chips. And you
reap what you sow. They lost to
the Italians. Chucky lost to
Chippy Chips, but yeah, they
don't mean the both. Oh,
yes, sorry. They both get this
themselves. They're to blame
for their own demise. They
also lost 3-0 to Manchester City, the new Manchester City, who did look pretty good.
But you can't be getting swept there.
Went game five with game words.
I mean, gentlemen, the right was on the wall.
Honestly, the fact they got to game five against KC is also, you know,
it's more KC not playing up there.
You just signed it. They lost the synergy.
Everything's gone to, it's gone in the bin for Group A.
Yeah.
Predictions have gone completely in the bin one day in.
It was wild.
I mean, like just looking at the upper bracket, the games that we saw then,
Again, a couple storylines coming through.
I mean, you look at Synergy there,
the way they were playing yesterday.
Clearly was working for them in their match.
Just as we look at the highlights in K-Corp,
having to drop down to the lower bracket.
I mean, this was cool just in general when we look at Group B
eventually, too.
That we had teams coming through we didn't expect.
But Man City, that roster move, T-Bates,
was huge for them.
That trade for Seiko and Tempo seemed to work out for them.
And sure they worked out initially.
I mean, I thought Man City played real well yesterday.
I mean, I mean, they're sweeping the gentleman's and then you're going to
focus my town in candidly.
They had the chances in game or five to take my town.
Yeah, so that city was safe.
I'm looking real quick.
Yeah, I grew especially used on that for me.
Love the off the ball play toward gentleman's support.
But I'm looking at the scary.
Seiko's real criticism that he's had over the past year or two.
It's been, it's been consistency.
Oh, it makes sure they're ready to do as well synergy.
You have their best event season.
They just made their first main event, they haven't made a main event before this, and they've made top 6 in it, so pretty big turnaround for them.
I mean, I feel so incorrect at this moment in time because I feel like I'm in the majority that fought Tempo for Seiko was a fantastic steal for GK.
I thought they'd come out on top of that, and then the actual Rocket League got played.
And we'll see when we get to a group B how, maybe not necessarily the case, but this is also the case for Nova, which is also the story of their season so close.
so close. So far they are the maybe team of the region right now losing to T.R.B. despite
an incredibly bad run. I mean almost got a number of a sweep. Then they throw a free
goal lead in game five. I think the biggest thing here we see with teams like Novo 2,
we brought up the points before we're looking at them later likely as well. But the biggest
thing is that those teams are fighting for those bottom spots which is open. I mean
like you still have a lot of games of Rocket League in this season to get
through to try and get yourself towards that that world championships.
So yeah, these matches are incredibly important for them.
For Novo, that journey ends there losing to TRB and then Man City pulling
through as we look to the lower part of that bracket in those games.
This is where we saw maybe gentlemates could bounce back.
Maybe we'd see them, you know, find their way through.
But they had to go through a K corp as well.
The fact that we're even getting a matchup like this.
debates in a lower bracket before or even into the weekend was crazy I mean
it's crazy what it shows is that he used inconsistent you got a lot of great
teams but it's just the simply not performed up to far every single match
but when these tightness do go up against one another I do think they always
play well I mean cake over Jimmy just a slapper went back and forth left and
right but it's just the fact that I mean show me JBR and talk about
Gentlemen you can't be here. You gotta handle your you gotta handle your brother
You can talk to you what about like they bring the best of each other they brought the worst of each other in that series
They they both play really really poor and when it came to that one it was just juicy difference
And he was he carried them. He just dragged KC into this Saturday and you might do more of that
I actually, I very much agree. I think the play looked very black, very inconsistent for a lot of the top teams.
You know, Vitality were the only team they were able to just continue with their expected results. I'll give you slight struggles here and there.
But I think that only tells us after the story. There's a difference to you guys between the teams who are upset in the top teams here compared to NA.
I think someone in my life, I yesterday explained it pretty well. They said that when EU underdogs get one game, it's like they smell blood in the water.
when any underdog scare one game they panic they start worrying they think oh my goodness we can do that
oh my god he's siding his chat to help him to help his position no you need to be consistent
it's just when listen when you're going up against the greats of the team you gotta be able to handle business
no gentlemen it's listen you gotta handle business now give them a little bit of pause when i listen
they had a bit i'm not gonna say they had a bad head
they have to say credit to the underdog teams they actually do they they continue to play well
for our whole series they don't panic they keep on really putting the pressure on and uh yeah
Yeah, some of these underdog teams synergy first main event of the season. They look great. They I don't know where this has been
I'll see they got multiple and they got like a lot of experience in EU
That's why good you just got a lot of experience
So I'll give it that point where you get to out at 5 to 10 at 10 to 15 area Europe
I mean they got so many people Dorito AJG. I mean they've been at world championships before so
NATs don't have that at the 5 to 10 10 15 range
Well, if we're talking underdogs, we got to take look at group B because we had a lot of teams because of those early losses in Swiss
that we had a group B that felt
a little less stacked than our
other day and show good. You
could see it right there in the
upper bracket. That whole one
half of it felt like teams that
we don't generally see on the
weekend. I mean, look at that
lower part right there. W I P

BSK. They were all one of those
teams was guaranteed a top six.
It was in a circle that ended
up taking it. But what
ridiculous is just how well
those teams did BSK narrowly

main event wins since he beat
oxygen in 2024 World
Championships. It's been that

going here but yeah on the uh on the upper part of this bracket here we had uh you know ninjas of
pajamas they made their way through i mean i think that was expected you look at some of the other
storylines there uh we'll talk about gk a little bit here but uh ninjas of pajamas i mean they're
one of the only teams in my opinion that felt like they were they were doing what they were
supposed to do with ghani maybe except outside vitality well they they're actually quite good
to best of fives. NIP have never had too many issues in best of fives. It's one to get those best of
sevens somewhere recently. They've struggled. That's been true in the major. It was true
online as well last split after their first successful 8th great event once instead.
They struggled on Saturdays and Sundays. So we'll see if they can change that today.
We saw inner circle cloud again. We talked about underdogs today is where
teammates they're really going to have to be performing because this is where you're
you're really gonna start getting tested.
But all these games, we're into game fives.
And they all go on game five.

he didn't do anything because the other teams they played against yeah they played well but
you should they shouldn't really be given them the chances to play well you should they
They didn't control the match and they didn't do that.

their second series, Caligara series.
I thought GK were very flat. They didn't really do much.

Gave the underdog too many chances, and they took them.

we had Vitality, we just talked about them as if we're combining the regions
together, they still get the number one seed. They were the best coming out of
yesterday looking at least. Yeah, I think they were. I mean, I will say a man
said he had a pretty good series against them. But I mean, Vitality at the
moment, they're playing really consistent, rocky league, something that
kind of be questioning is that he started off 2023, of course, major
champion, world champion after that has necessarily been able to capture
that same success coming up at an attitude to the roster. They're
They're looking pretty good and in an inner circle on the other side kind of in that question mark up questionable side
I'm gonna say if you want to call it off the two groups yesterday that Lord that bottom quadrant in group number B
They have a lot to prove today. It would be huge upset. They end up getting this w and I'm excited to see it
Overall again, I think we're looking at underdogs here shogan
You know yeah the the Brits coming up against the French here by tally again
and they've shown how good they are.
Stizzy is starting to fit into that mix super well here.
And actually we got to talk, Shuggie.
We saw how early and prepared this team fight

And I think they need to as well.
I mean, we were talking at the major,
this is the greatest chance that they've had to win something
ever since they won a world championship.

We've got Casey in the lower bracket,
all of their near rivals are eliminated
in a whole heap of trouble when it comes to this bracket. Vitality, this is the opportunity.
This event to finally get that wall broken down and go and actually win one of these
opens because we got them power right first. What they won recently, they are there by
default because everyone else is just sort of not playing up to their own standards.

Overall, sometimes though, Johnny, having that kind of underdog approach to it can help. I mean, we just
saw what can happen yesterday in the European region, either it be death or inconsistency.

I mean, in a circle, they've been putting up some good results. They beat Montseille and
in the Swiss in qualifying and yesterday they came out of what we thought would be the weakest
quadrant but they did it. You know with some great goals and good plays in the clutch situations

yeah, new hype for them, a chance to see how they perform under the extra pressure.
It definitely does feel, though, T-Bates, as if it's a bit of a class difference, and when it comes
to the level of Rocket League we sometimes, or the consistency of Rocket League we see between
these two teams, one feels definitely like a well put together wall, and it feels like
like a inner circle is gonna have to break that down.
I mean, yeah, it's exemplified via the cameras.
You have one team playing in a facility with a coach,
with a point with a manager,
and everything else in between,
and all the ones playing at home, with an organization.
So they're trying to make themselves work.
So I mean, you're going up against Zen,
still top five in the games.
Couldn't even say best in the game.
I don't know how many people would agree with that,
but the argument is there,
and I wouldn't be mad at it at all.

They are the most consistent team at you
at the moment it seems appears to be up with K Corp in that conversation as well.

But to Vitality, they're looking good.
They're still looking at themselves really
building some momentum for the season now.

He's obviously never really fallen off since he entered
the best in the world conversation in his debut split.
And Stissie's been going from strength to strength
to this roster.
I think they're, you know, exotic here.
Really welcome to talk to how well he's playing for me.

As for the other two, this is their first foray into a top 8 playoff.
Yeah, and sometimes, good players are in a brave new world. They do step up. They do feel that, you know, you're up against better players, you play faster, might take you a game, or even in the case of an essential half a game, to get used to that pace, but it does seem that, in the last 30 seconds or so, they have been able to figure out a way to at least play around to you by talent.

but they are still not getting in the door.

yeah it's like a breeze for the sort of superior team but didn't develop and the
stuff really showed us why they didn't make it through yesterday because you know
it's all by the good saying they were in the quote unquote easiest quadrant
but if you're in the easiest quadrant of an EU top 16 it's not an easy quadrant
yeah it was it was a you know a quadrant where they still have to go and get the
get the wins I mean these it's not like they just qualify through to the main event
and they look at her against the thing.

It's then the breakthrough, and exotic does get the finish, and my vitality needed that.

It was just that one moment where they played a little bit too risky there.

But of all that, it's to your side when you're driving a rock-n-lead car
because you can't really move sideways, you can dodge, but that keeps you flat
and it all gets a bit awkward. Sissy over the top of the wall

and gets a hundred boost. That was the touch the circle needed.
He's then starting to fight gaps in the defense series, getting the ball past one or two players
every single time he gets a piece of it.
That's always the benefit of having to play like Zen on the pitch.

Yeah, credit to Vitality, fiddled down, and they batted for the first couple of minutes

Just like Zen do, work for the ball, get the guys keeping it more simple.
You may have obviously anxiety that says you're a mechanical hero on your own, right?
But it really did for me, in the middle of the game, feeling like every time Zen got the ball,
you get it past one and then 50-50 the second guy.
That's always a great thing to do in 3v3.
You take two opponents out of the game at the cost of only yourself,
But it's in the situation. Yeah, when it came down to it, you know, circle, you both composer on the goal, like a
triple committed on one save attempt and
couldn't get back to save the next one.
All three vitality players involved as well. It was Zen who had, you know, the mechanics as you expect to
break in a circle down. But once they started swarming, it was
Stizzy and in particular exotic as well, who's finishing was fantastic and positioning was great.

between those two teams making the most of that pressure in a circle just as game one couldn't quite make the most of it but they did have those opportunities a reminder in a best of seven.
There are tactical timeouts something that the inner circle players might not be as used to taking and that maybe goes to show because normally Johnny two games down and take one.
Yeah, I think it's pretty it should be pretty automatic there.
I think they probably should have called the timeout especially looking at how the game went.
They had a 2-go lead, they lost 3-goes in a row, I think you just have to call a time-out there, just take an extra minute to talk about it.
Even if you feel like you're ready for the next game, still, I think it's just smarter to go for the time-out, but they've decided not to.
We'll see if they can lock in without the time-out.

If they've got a good offensive package here this young team, the defense is clearly
the area that they're lacking in, but the mechanics looking pretty good, team plays,
physical plays, definitely on the offensive side of the ball, very impressive stuff.

But if this is the 50-50 game that's winning this one so far,
throwing a circle, every time there's a challenge,
it's just falling to them,
obviously not completely every time.

but ball sweeps up well, recovery not quite ideal,
but it actually turns into quite a decent make
so we can prop that one over the top,
the exotic, but not quite there.
And this is where we need to see that game management
that T-Bitality showed in the last game
from in a circle.

How on earth can Team Vitality score? In the circle, Snake's so patient, credit to them but Vitality's surely had at least one opportunity to pull the trigger, but instead they got it wired every single time.
Motion goes for a blip reset, the ball is bouncing, the ball is slowed, this is what they want, they've been chased by Gorks.
Scorps that was popped earlier on for Team Vitality, but now Boston in space has an outrage device, nothing.

have taken a tactical time out. So we'll have a couple of minutes to talk through
all those things. And I think I think their overall mindset right now will be either
because they are playing very well against a team that just finished the second and the most recent major.
Or is it more frustrating because they're good players getting by now, surely?
I think it's frustrating, I think these guys are going to be annoyed because the games have not gone the way...
Sometimes you lose in roughly the ability to play really well, you sit fair enough,
but actually, like I tell you, they've definitely been there for the taking in one or two of these games.
I think that in a circle will probably know that they've missed opportunities here, which I think they have and

and right now it's because they are the consistent team so far, they're winning as everybody they
should win against, they will need about one loss in the major finals of Jetsleman's recently,
so every other time we see them in the pitch, they're winning and until they
change that, you know, I'm going to keep them at that one spot, but
that. Yeah, that's right. That's
right in a circle. I know they
can be better. This they panic
so much in defense. I mean, so
many careless goals from just
unnecessary 50 50s like we saw
right there where the ball is
not dangerous. You do not need
to flip into that and then
they're jumping at nothing in
defense other times instead of
just going to straight to the
ball. They're not communicating
double triple committed. Yeah,
a lot of defensive blunders from
inner circle. They're not
actually that hard to fix if
they can go into the positive
mindset for tomorrow. I guess
the team. I mean, it's
it's a lot of people. So

you said, so the chance for
the world, but the overall
inner circle, say we get to

you feel now seeing them on

Yeah, realistically, again, it's been paying dividends.
With the Seiko move for them, they've
been looking great out there, a team
that I can fully expect, making this Saturday playoff
