I don't know if it was necessarily that they got the value out of Waleigh, I feel as if
there's two very differing ideas with how they were playing with the comp, with the
Viper, like, Cowjoy on one hand, and then the Waleigh on the other, where they want
to play aggressive, like, I feel as if there's very contrasting ideas there, so, I mean,
they clearly didn't get the value because they didn't want the map.
Yeah, but you know, see, that could have been the short answer.

I love the explanation, but I think, I mean, for both of these teams, this was such a back
and fourth and it was bound to foot having great things in KC, you know, making these
small little mistakes as well that Zaytia's highlighted already earlier and they capitalized

where foot looked like they were winning rounds because of KC.
And that was something that was highlighted before and that's something where KC going

coaches are going in there and really stopping these things because they are
pretty basic mistakes you shouldn't be losing for me to be one like this
like the 2v1 and they were just jumping around like it was just a bit silly
yeah and I think the thing is well like to kind of talk about that and in the
practice the Casey's had they played in project Blender in the offseason right
that I know like it's an offseason film you can see what you want but those
official praccs in there and I didn't really see those issues off the top of my head back then so
is this something that has just started coming about since we've got past Christmas? I don't know
but yeah at least it's on stage. Yeah exactly. I don't accept that as an excuse. I think at this
point as well like you're in the slower bracket this is do or die for you. It's really shouldn't be
these tiny mistakes being made because a lot of these players not all of them they have that
experience already so it's not in that sense you know we can't really go back to it but
players specifically that we've highlighted coming into today was Levin in terms of like
operator in terms of being able to play aggressively and Nidia felt like KC did to an extent capitalize
off that yeah absolutely and getting that off by on round three specifically was huge because they
were into that kind of bonus territory I think if Levin didn't pick up that operator already on
that they probably wouldn't perform this game and we just highlight KC's yours as a jet like I said
that maybe the jet would be more comfortable. On the defense it seems like Leaven is very comfortable.
I think it's when you switch to that attack side where a mixture of the IG adding and the mid-rounding
and then also playing your own attack is a lot more difficult. So going forward into the series,
I think there's a lot of value on that defense. Attack side is where you know...

than Zeus being in the bottom 12 ACS looked like they were shunned. Yeah, I think Crustly was very
good at map one and he continued that one into map two. Like I think he was the highlight of this
map for me and I think there's like a really nice sign like I've been a little bit maybe pessimistic
a little bit negative about what I consider maybe like a version of foot that maybe seems
a little bit weaker than historic faith but honestly if this is just a slow ramping up for
these new vgt players then it could be good signs in the future. Do you think this is
potentially a slower ramping up like are they getting closer to what you were hoping them to be to?

the setup that foot was able to get. Yeah so what I was really impressed with in in this game was
essentially the way that foot came into this with a game plan because Zeus is now using the operator
more, it allows them to explore a deeper game plan. So here, Foot is on the defense and we're
going to mostly keep looking at the Neon and the Fade towards the A-side. So you're going to see at
the start here, the Neon is waiting here for potential way-late-off with the Operator. So if
we play this out, he's just going to be waiting. And then what ends up happening is Crossily on
the Fade is going to set up the Neon into a deeper position here. So you see this, the Fade
Vader coming in to set up Zeus onto a deep angle and eventually he's going to go down even further and this is really important because
KC are using this fight for here
And that means that the nail could get in front of it and take a deeper line
Get all the information and then foot can rotate the other side the map very easily and this was happening every single round
Every single rounds just at the operator every single round Vader was coming in and he was getting deep information
basically a very good game plan and anti-strat against this Viper one. So we
see here is who sets up, he's got the deep line, you see the rotations happening
here and at this point you know case you're setting up now for a B here and
Foote already have three players here looking directly at this choke point. So
what looks like a very easy way of like Foote shutting down this exec has that
Foote behind it. They're not just randomly looking there and able to shut it

it should be basically almost done in my eyes considering what was announced like yesterday.
I think that in these situations, you don't have time to read about the whale so I do see,
Like I imagine Cooper is the biggest voice in the team when it comes to that kind of side of thing

And I think kickoff for them is actually, one of the few teams that I'm going to give them a bit of a pass on.
because I think Kekoff is one of those moments where they can kind of go back to the drawing board and kind of re-look at how they want to do that.
Ebrard has this very distinct vision for the game and Kekoff is the chance for him to kind of figure out does the roster make sense in terms of that approach.

going to have to wait and see what they're going to answer to, but I think also having that mentality
of like, all right, we're coming into DCC this year, we're going to start things up, we'll pick up,
and them not shying away from trying new things, from figuring out what works for them and what
doesn't, and that's kind of the identity conversation that we're having around a lot of these teams
that we're finding in this lower bracket today, what is their identity and when will they actually
be able to find it seems to be the overarching theme here in this conversation and I guess for
a pacific today is they got to show us whether it's like these wacky comps or maybe they go back
to that comfort yeah I think that's exactly it I think they like to hit the reason why that is
is because there was a massive patch change before this year like I think that kickoff is a tournament
in which you don't get you know you get more chances than last year but you don't get that many
games to figure it all out if that makes sense like this has probably been the biggest patch
change that we've ever had in Valorant in my opinion and so it's not a surprise to me that
teams are trying to find their identity in a matter where it probably doesn't even suit the
years of region for their strengths in that. Ooh I love how the excuses are already coming up for

we've already touched upon in terms of like the philosophy and just the mindset when it comes
specific but as a player what are we expecting from him today? I'm expecting him to be able to

the guy's headshot percentage was right up there but it's not as if it's like oh he has like small
jewels right like you can put him on a site by himself and you know he's gonna hold it down. Yeah I
I think for me like it's it's been a long time coming like I think this guy should have been a VCT
2023 he was a player actually that I was trying to get a fanatic in like 2021 or 2022

These teams I'm surprised to only see him now and since then he's had a huge role change now

Yeah, so it seems that in terms of cohesion on paper it should work and we should hopefully see something coming out from Pacific today

organization that has just joined VCT EMEA this year, they qualified through
extension and they were absolute beasts in that tournament. It was scary looking
at them compete and they are finding themselves in a position right now where
they are already on that shopping block but they have definitely giving it their
all with the resources that they currently have available. Yeah they have a bit of a
slow start to kick off and we asked them to relax a little bit you know except
the conditions they find themselves in which again is having two substitutes
And I think last week, although it was a 2-0 loss to Heretic, there was glimpses of, like, the core itself was playing very well, in my opinion, that you're going to see during Stage 1.
And it just feels like, to me, I don't know if this is Copian, but it feels like they're just kind of here to get the reps for Stage 1 when they're back in their full power, in that sense.
Yeah, and I think both teams, well, considering that we already spoke about our anti, had said about Pacific,
I think like both of these teams find themselves in the exact same position then if it's like reps getting themselves comfortable
And obviously whoever wins this get more reps right? That's the other aspect
Yeah, maybe already highlighting before three when it comes to their match up against heretics
And just in general that's what we're hoping to see again today because heretics if anything
They're also in the lower bracket. So, you know, my very match actually no, it's gonna be liquid

And if any of the first matches indication of that Casey foot Casey coming into this is the favorite and puts did manage to find a map they did manage to push it push Casey to their limits and that's a testament of how even though these teams are in this lower bracket Cairo it is still close matchup and it is still possible to make that miracle run.
