How's it going everybody welcome back to another
TNS
Tekken 8 Tuesday
My name is Sammy with me is Riss Kree Street we're joining you back from a
super cold place in Chicago Illinois and we're back home in
warps thank God
I'm not I'm not I'm in Tennessee. It's cold right now. It's cold
We got a cold front it's seven inches of snow a while ago
We had more snow here than that we did in Chicago despite the flurries at that point my basement where I'm recording right now is
Cold I have this combo breaker is holding me down with this final from three years ago
That's still my favorite piece of clothing to the supercincts out here. It is keeping me warm. That's all that's left
Between myself is frostbite right now. I
I will let's try to get you a little bit warmer
We'll try to pull all the tech in out of the cold right now as we did for a tech world tour this year
Because it was all the way out in Sweden finished up over this weekend
Unfortunately kind of clashed with our timings with frosty fasting
So I only got to see a little bit
But what I saw was so so good and now we're leading into the next era of technique
So I'm looking forward for what's in the store. I got my boy Bob back top two me. She was
We got both we got the both the best Mishima's the top two Mishima's and
I can I'm right there right there you got I I still love that they introduce it
with the burger it's like what what is America all about you know statue of
liberty burgers Bob right there perfect that burger look mad good I wanted it
I wanted to stop at it was so good I got in and out on the way home
Haha, so count privilege. Let's go. You know what? Well, okay
We got a lot of burgers. Actually, you know what? No, we got in and out in okay
It's in middle Tennessee not near me, but it's getting interesting in Tennessee Nashville has him in and out now
We have every fish. We're coming for your burgers right now. That's what we're doing. It's nothing sacred
Nothing is sacred anymore. We got in and out
We got water burger and you know, and we got cookout North Carolina mentioned by the way on there as well
Like it's all coming together right here in Tennessee, but regardless though we got our first match coming up
It's winnable versus Moo Moo coming. Oh
Okay, so when we got told by production what the name was when Minzi told us I didn't think it was gonna be spelled like this
Incredible
phenomenal name a plus 10 out of 10 no notes
Yeah, so it's it's beautiful fun at that
Lulu on the off, it's gonna get the lead early on here because it's winnable with Elisa.
Elisa's not going up and off like he's ducking.
Oh yeah, absolutely, and especially NA pushing that with King Ray Jr., but definitely a strong
character throughout Season 2, but all gonna get the power crux onto the wall, get the
wall explosion and pull off it, but see if we can get some sort of a comeback started.
Okay, right back in, we're gonna move a little bit closer here, here comes the saw blade, one more time, a little bit of a pure red.
If you're having to hold down all of these ship damage to come in, finally get the hit out there and get away to saw blade stuff, or, uh, for Mumu.
Nice, steps to the left, gets the wall squat as well, gets into heat, so recovers some life, tries to pull some out with the smash, but that was airborne, it didn't do enough damage!
Nice follow up from Winable, who takes it. Oh, sorry, Mumu, who takes it first.
Yeah, yeah, that's a good point with the when I've been up in the air there
I was wondering about maybe like a four two on there as like a watch
But because of being in the air, maybe there was an opportunity for that good old call-out from moving to make that happen
Unfortunately, we're back in a very similar situation by it's Winnable back to the wall here comes the explosions on top of that have a tornado for the trouble
Yeah, this time having a little bit better of a lead, right?
Winnable had to make a pretty large comeback there towards the end
so all side steps do heat dash pull off the wall see we can carry to another side octagon stages are
actually pretty nice for most characters in terms of wall carry yeah you've got a like a little bit
of room for it you have uh like for the for the corner carry on like a walk excuse me wall carry
rather on that but we go ahead we finish it off with that as like screen we're up to some
immediately but you know it's not over yet if heat is activated for it's winnable
Have you just gonna go in? Go for the two grab.
Yeah.
Missed a shot to slam. Just trying to find it.
Oh! Right into the tooth fairy. That's next to the wall as well.
Moon was trying to close it out here.
Well, but trying to go in for the one plus.
It's two and there for Moon, it gets hit with the heat smash on there.
But you know what? We go ahead, we got the wall smash.
We're in trouble and that's going to be it.
You don't even have to use that heat activation on there afterwards.
Maybe just like, just enjoy the feeling, enjoy the flow of heat.
Nice close out there. Definitely an opportunity for winnable, but that one, unfortunately that
first round I think escaped them just a little bit. They're making a good comeback, but that
was a good step for Mooma who was able to take the first one. Good stuff so far, definitely
just having some difficulty mitigating some of the offensive pressure. Mooma was finding
the necessary hits, that cites up to getting incredible value. Obviously a staple tool
frosty palestins. I want to see the Venn diagram of how many people went to one of those events
and immediately came home to sign up for Tekken Never Sleeps for on Tuesday on
that and maybe you know maybe recovering on that just a bit on the air but maybe you just watch
him's like you know what it's time for me to get back into it we got 281 of you right now
in this bracket here so that's really cool to see. Yeah I mean that's most people were at something
over the weekend and the fact that the numbers stayed the same above average I would say is
kind of insane so perhaps you guys just keep the momentum going on Tekken 8. Yeah speaking
We're making a momentum on there. We're going to go ahead. We get the standard wall finisher for Oscar here.
We're trying to go in rear with the up forward 1-2, yet again, gets lost for the treble bite.
It's winnable, but doesn't get anything forward here because of the trade.
Yeah, nice he's back to close it out as well. Had all the momentum and the space control to make that a pretty easy thing to go for towards the end there.
But winnable's on a bigger stage than last time. I want to see him use that at least a movement a little bit more.
And so now we're trying to test out the momentum, but we got the punishes in there on point
for MooMoo with the other two-three.
Ah, here comes the low, Perry though, it's winnable.
I'm gonna get a little bit of damage back, like, on the other side, enough time to go
ahead and get a nice side step.
That's what I want to see, is Perry obviously having some of the best movement in the
game.
And I want to see it flows out here as well, that's what we were missing from
round one of the first game, but MooMoo, once again, finding that thing that stops
leading. Yeah, you're gonna go ahead get the follow-up guarantee, the 4-3 plus 4 on
the afterwards, and we're gonna go, oh my god, you're donating all the blood to the
medical authorities. Oh man, all going to the red cross, well, but just
putting closing out, now Mooma's sitting on that point.
Little bit of pressure there, kind of going to 4-4 in there, see another guy just
Punishing. Little Bo's keeping it pretty simple overall. Just waiting for it's winnable to uh
To like see like something actually wait for everything again with the punish again with the two three
We're keeping up with the wall pressure and keeping up the uh keep it up
Yeah, I mean there's a position for it's winnable here
It's definitely winnable if you can find some offense going but just hasn't been able to get anything
Real in this round until that down four
Definitely an opportunity now
Hold on here. Okay. I like that use of the grab on there and get a little bit of permission
Decisioning in there just to keep back in the corner ball
Now we're gonna go in with the low the down four two to make the mark there move
I was gonna be moving on on the winter side of pools
Yeah, good stuff a couple of moments there and a lot of times in Tekken especially with the
Overall aggression of this game. You don't get very many options
If you're gonna or you don't get very many chances if you give up the opportunities to your opponent, so
Good stuff. Just like couple miss block punishes like there's some nice stuff, too
Right, we saw some pretty good side steps in the heat engagers. That was really good, too
But Moo Moo overall the more solid of the two
Yeah, I was really looking out for a lot of it a lot of those just easy punishes easy gets on there
Just didn't want to you don't want to string yourself too hard early on in the bracket
You're going to be doing a lot of thinking if you get further and further down line, especially
on the winter side is to get two other opponents in there, trying to think about different matchups
on there.
So being able to do anything to do is like, oh, I'm looking up for highs.
I can go in there with the wall while standing three and they're getting my big punish in
there.
I see you doing the hop kick in here.
Let me just get my simple punish here.
Nothing to say otherwise on that.
Just keep it simple.
Keep it clean.
Yeah, I mean versus osuka it could be a little difficult. I think down one plus two is kind of on the
On the unreactable side, I would say in Tekken. It's it's very it's pretty darn fast for how good of a low it is
But
Yeah, it's just one of those things where I think that the reason why Elisa is like an extremely strong character at the
highest level and like maybe drops off a little bit lower is because this is a character that
that one of her greatest strengths as a character,
and it's one of the balancing factors
when you're considering, you know,
how good her normals are gonna be, is her movement,
or movement's some of the best in the game.
She has one of the best side steps in the game.
She has one of the best back dashes in the game.
A lot of other movement-oriented tools
that are not even just like universal mechanics.
And to use that sort of thing,
both defensively and offensively,
requires a level of knowledge that I think only gets developed through time and experience and
That can get pretty hard right like when you're your player who's like I know all the combos
I know all the I know all my setups, you know, I could I know all my oaky situations
We never get to hit them because you know at that mid high level
You're sort of developing that sort of movement and neutral and trying to find those openings against tougher proponents
That can get quite difficult until you've developed that as a player.
So that's definitely the thing I was always like,
I think of that about Zafina and Lily is what,
well, Zafina and Lily have slightly better Oki than Elisa does.
So they can sometimes get away with doing a single hit,
single whiff punish and try to take the whole thing to the bank.
But for Elisa, I think like her main strength is that being able to move around
and then just be very, very difficult to get to
and then play a more poke oriented style
until you harass them into that big hit.
Yeah, not only like when you do get that big hit,
even if you like, you get that extra chain,
you get the chainsaws on there,
you get the extra chip damage on top of that,
you'll be able to continue with that pressure.
But in the meantime though,
we've got two brand new characters,
two new opponents on the screen,
we've got Marcy versus Daipasta
with Verena versus Claudio.
Yeah, this one can get a little bit annoying, Verena.
I think she doesn't, she wants to kind of be,
control the linear space back to is not the best homing move and other than that
she kind of has to dash at people in order to keep people put so yeah oh fire
the rocket it can get a little difficult versus audio so but I mean we'll say
Marcy's doing pretty good so far. Dibuster is in heat if you can find a moment to get
some space oh guess it tries to close it out heat gas plus five trying to
find the hit you have charge doesn't get the scope for the full one
She's like showing it off a little bit earlier with that 4-4-3-2 on there afterwards from Dive Up.
But we're going to have one round in, in the favor of Marseille, immediate use of the electric leg on there.
We're going to go all the way, doesn't get the follow-up.
But it's on there to try to finish off the wall combo, puts themselves into the corner.
Oh, go for the unblockable no-go.
Yo, either- By the way, Marseille with the $50 direct contribution to the Magirino.
Thank you so very much here. Hope you're going to be enjoying all the tech that we have for you all night long.
Casual 50 bucks for Mars Sleepy, but a consistent one. It's not the first time they've been so generous to TNS Tech, and so thank you so much. I appreciate it on behalf of the players.
I like the call out there doesn't even want Marcy to finish the at the sense
I like follow up on their guy buster just goes right into the hop game on there a nice block from Marcy though
We're going to get that guarantee on the other fall to get heat activation and we're going in we get that wall splatter
We're gonna tear you up nearly to that rage
Health in there for Diver
That has to walk us a knee down to so just trying to find that last in a little bit of delay and Marcy
found a time to get that down 4-1 and good oki on top of it and takes it to up.
Yeah, we were talking about like how like the space that Reina needs. This is one of those stages too
where you kind of have to, if you don't have to like the space up close to if like Union
just says, I say if you kind of, kind of have to play a very familiar game, something to die
buster should kind of mitigate here. We're trying to check out what these mid tracking
move here but we're going to get it we're testing out but we cannot escape from the wall Marcy.
Yeah that 4-3 is a really good tool uh it's just fast, has long range homing obviously but like
if I plus or isn't finding that hit once I get to the wall the wall splat Claudio really wants to
get that big damage but so nonetheless the control of that round was necessary in order to take
it we're tied up. This goes in we got that big mid on display here it is two to two up
But Marcy is not stopping on a spin to win.
Nye sidestep to the left in there for Dibuster to get away from the Hellsweep.
We're just getting there damage.
Where it counts!
Yeah, I'm choosing the Okie option there for the end.
I mean, usually you see Claudia in heat.
They usually go for the back three damage under.
But, you know, I like to see the different choices styled.
Look for the Scythe's with Sterl as well,
trying to create some space, get off the wall, counter hit.
Get some extra damage.
Oh no, but now Marcy trying to run it back.
Trying to run it back, keeps Claudio on the ground, so we're tied up on the health.
Not for very long though, one more interaction, but he stays on the ground wisely.
But the trade is going to be his favor of Dibus, so he's putting the one on their side.
Yep, first one goes to the Claudio, and pretty surprising, I mean,
um, so like a lot of the time you want to see Claudio has extremely good wall carry,
he wants to get you to the wall, and then he has extremely good damage once he gets there,
right the Starburst option Ender is just absolutely freaking chunks you and so
that's kind of like the general game plan for Claudio but he did not find a lot
of lost flats and then the one we did he chose the oaky option probably because
it was probably so early in his heat meter it was early in the round so he
didn't necessarily want to commit the bar to it just yet I don't mind that
decision one bit I think it's definitely a stylistic choice but it's more of
which is like impressive that he was still able to get the win despite all that.
We get the early call out from the Electric Wing Godfist in there from against Reina here.
Dibuster ducking into the launch. Just I'm going to get knocked again, like you pointed out earlier, Sammy.
Knocked a lot off the wall, trying to see what they have in store.
One more time here, just going to go ahead and get it.
Get with the follow up and keep it mid.
Yeah, once again going for that same option just for the hop kick for the Oki situation.
Obviously putting people face down mitigates their options a little bit on wake-up so can give you slightly better okey in this situations
I'm liking that from the dive buster
It's the flow as we go back into the wall like the tech roll away
And we're trying to get away from dive buster interesting on that does make you get the follow-up in there
But we go in with the fall for two into the three heat activation time and you're good positioning good timing for Marcy
He's coming from Dibuster, just waited on that ground for a second longer, got out of
a bad situation.
Client's a big hopkick too, that's going to be towards the wall.
There's a chance to make a comeback in this round.
Oh, the nightmare is a Tekken 7 from that hopkick, a low on there, but we're going
to do a super matte punch, we're going to keep it down and we go in for the heat
smash low.
The cheeky option, not enough to kill, but you know what that sidestep 4 definitely
is.
That's all you need in this game.
A single moment, a single launch, carried to the wall, it could be over in an instant, but the floor is activated for both players, so you get to use it first as Marcy finds the counter or the big hit.
Oh yeah, that's Marcy using their head right there, we get them away, we're tech rolling away, we get the follow-up.
I like that that buzzer kept on rolling down on the ground, because Marcy has been going into that option as an open setup on their afterwards SIRP.
We're going right back into the sidestep floor, we're going to hold down, delaying some of our three options on your keeping Marcy on the toes.
on the toes.
Now, if I'm the endgager of the ground, just going to create some space, almost side-switch
the situation just because they're in the corner, but gets a launch, they're going to be able
to close this out with everything.
No, the sidewall, kind of making a weird combo situation.
Oh, and yeah, you have everything in your flight.
That's going to be it on there.
It uses every bit of the combo structure.
Is that just to finish it off there?
We saw the tornado at the end.
great say man the dive buster continuing on in the pools I kind of maybe sound like a broken
record on at least on this stream a little bit when I talk about like combo prowess but like
that was like such a perfect iteration or an example of what I mean by that because that stuff
is literally make or break at times like you hit that combo you win you get another round right
you don't and you drop it over extends and your opponent gets a chance to close it out and that that's why
Those players who when I watch them and I want to point it out because like when you watch the likes of the best
Obviously for this dream, especially comes to mind like shadow and King Ray jr. Who tend to have incredible combos
Shadow it they approach it a little differently to King Ray jr. Actually does like to go for what he thinks will work every single time and
like 95 to 97 percent of the time he's right. Shadow will let a combo drop. He'll just be
like, cool, I don't know what's happening in this weird situation. Instead, I'm just going
to hit them for once, probably with a jab or something very low recovery and then try
to move myself around to take a better positioning. And that way when you wake up, I'll hopefully
have a different advantage that will maybe make up for the difference in the loss damage.
That's a good point too, especially knowing in those situations what to do is you're like,
I can, I can at least get set up here.
I can get you like on the ground like into a set up that I can have more control over.
And not only that, if you let that combo drop, if you're depending on where you are on
the stage, you've got an opportunity in there for like a little bit of positioning.
Maybe you go, you take that time to go sidewalk into where the wall is at their backs and
you can kind of continue on your own for safe.
Yeah, it's, um, especially in that, I totally get it because like in that moment, I
It ends the round. You really want it when you're two rounds down, but, you know, these are the lessons to learn that those types of things are learned over time.
So we move on to the next one. We get best milk over versus Tiger. We got Brian, our character winner from the second World War of this year versus Tiger on the King.
All right. Yeah. With the chair all ready to go on the King side.
However, you're having a deal with this wall and the Brian, Brian best milk ever on this going in with a little bit of punching on there.
cancels Hal, but we're gonna go in.
This is gonna be a good strategy in here
because you're gonna go in with the Irish whip
into the wall combo.
The wall splat helps you out here,
retain your, obtaining control.
Yeah, good damage.
Definitely turned the round on its head there,
but gets a throw as well.
Is that gonna be into the wall?
No, just skirts the line.
I tried to go in for it too,
grabbing no can do on there afterwards here.
I like that usually little bit of mistake guys
at the end there.
Maybe trying to get a little bit of wall position
on top of that here.
Now we're just going to keep it simple.
We're getting these pugs where they count, but nine seconds in here.
We're going to break the giant swing.
Nothing for her.
We're going to get not finishing up, but the doc jab checks it in that ticket.
You clump in for work.
A pretty common strategy for the 1-2-1, but on the first round,
definitely hard to read.
So good stuff.
No, take the first one.
Yeah, it feels like we've been seeing the stage a lot in our first couple
of matches here either in the sky, in space, or on the ground like we are
right now.
Whoa! We just got him free out of the care!
Relax over there.
So let's speed up the puzzle a little bit.
The ref was...
The ref definitely down for the count on there.
Okay, good break. Unfortunately, they clicked themselves against the wall here.
Try to call it off with the Jaguar War, but we're going to go win.
A little bit of health recovery there for Best of Ever.
Okay, I get some of the 1, 2, 4.
Nice, weighs back a little bit, creates that space for the quarterfours 1 plus 2
and closes it out, doubles their lead and milk needs one more.
Gets out with a low there, we're going to go in one more time in there, firemen, carry, bring it down!
Nice, put it down, face down, running the mix, trying to find it, nice break, once again
interrupts the back one just trying to find that sort of start for milking or
yeah for milking Tiger shuts it down. Tiger's like hey this may be going a
little bit bad right now maybe you can like go back to the store a little bit
but not with those these here it's got a got a little bit more vitamins in it.
Stays on the ground for a second longer everything sideswitches just a
little bit and that means the 4-2-1 actually wall splat and Tigers in a
Great position.
Get the bitches off of the drop, get you know what, we're just going the distance on there,
going for the E smash, get back in the neutral here, keep Tiger goes ahead with their Ona.
Throw the E smash in there, we'll use that snake guys here.
Nice job from Tiger.
Yeah, back one.
Catches him afterwards, hacks a kick, trying to keep the aggression going just a little bit of health for Tiger left.
The throw breaks up in big but so is that hot knee in rage as well.
Gonna go into the rage art here, gonna get rid of the rest of the white life.
I don't think it's going to kill, but it's gonna put Tiger in the better position.
Yeah, I do think you got a little, one more interaction potentially on here afterwards.
Get a little bit of thykri up.
You know what, just run up, bring him the knee to the face.
Always does the job.
Yeah, pretty good oaky situation for King there because of that running three
and pulls it back to now we're all tied up.
Match is on the follow-up on here, just gonna go ahead, just go ahead and be able to start
using that heat just to keep on set up, but we're going in, Camille, your territory, Irish
whip, yet again in the final round, going to go ahead with the walls, but I like how
Tiger, Tiger's been looking out for these opportunities to make it happen before maximum
potential.
Yeah, I mean he's just trying his best to find that hit, and Milk hasn't been
really been able to get it. He can get you though Tiger gets the throw switching it up
towards the last second and if he doesn't break this next one it might be it. No he's
got one more. Oh no the chain throw works out and Tiger takes the first one.
Okay yeah using the chain throw at the very end there like which is kind of
this festival peopler has been doing a really good job on breaking those
throws for the most part just like I think that's the first time we've
see the chain throw option in there from a tiger.
Maybe I'll be actually most of the time,
looks like I had some great throw breaks.
Yeah. Yeah. And so, but, you know, like we say for,
for, especially for throws, persistence beats resistance.
And so as long as you don't break all of them,
one of them is going to be valuable. So good stuff.
That's right.
Keeping the aggression going there and a three round comeback means
that milk is gonna have to be the one
who starts making the adjustments here.
Yeah, for sure on that.
So we're gonna see what we get for a random stage on here.
Going in, we're going to Rebel Hangar,
gonna give access to a balcony break on top of this.
This could be, I mean, it's good.
Anytime you get a balcony break,
good for both players all the way through here,
but I do feel like that
the way that Tiger's been utilizing the wall,
it may prove extremely useful as we go on.
We're going in with the Firemass Carry
to begin things starting.
We just kind of really call out a lot of Best Book's efforts, uh, attention to you.
Yeah, Tiger's starting off strong here, keeping the aggression going.
And when you have such a lead like that, you can use your keepers in a really defensive manner, just trying to take your turn back.
But not over till it's over versus Brian, but it is over. Tiger takes the first one.
Continue at a best build ever.
Brian's a hard-working individual on here, but we're going closer to that OSHA standard on here.
Are we going to break it? Not quite good.
Block all that duck on here.
Okay, I did not think it was going to break from that angle, but you know what?
Geometry, I did fail Geometry. Let's be honest.
Yeah, little too slump for that.
And that's what I mean. You're giving your opponent the opportunity to make a comeback here.
Luke walks, wakes up with the back one, and now it has the advantage.
Yeah, they got into the low, but you know what, Hopney?
We're going to do, uh, do Tiger some good here, and we go ahead and use that, like, get Forklift certified on their afterwards here.
Go ahead with the Heat Smash on there, not enough, but you got, you know, into that rage.
Uhhh, Darn it. With the crowdstrap, Tiger goes through a big read, but Luke doesn't get the punish, and it gives Tiger an extra chance to close up the round.
Yeah, that looked like feeling a last chance on there like a little bit of panic from the throw trap whip on there
But it worked out in Tigers favor to up on this
But not for now that's enough ever coming back with a blitzkrieg of damage into the KO to get one on their side
Yeah, top around that you need after everything that's happened
So oh little too far to get that he first confirmed unfortunately
But in he early on his seat begin take a little bit of a lead in this round
Alright, goes in for the Giant Swing, no can do here, gonna keep the same position, but
you know what?
Third time, well continues to be the charm actually, Irish Whiff into the wall here, Tiger looking
out for those opportunities on there, but we're gonna go in with the, with the kick
from the ground, get away from any potential damage.
Once again, Irish Whiff into the wall, that's made dividends for Tiger in this
set.
3-2-2, run mix, goes for the mid, that's been consistent.
Or heat smash just trying to keep that pressure going the wall standing to do catching him on the way out
The armbreaker break, but it sets up perfectly for the low
Tiger takes it two to zero
All right. Yeah, like again
We were talking about earlier just like how important positioning is how important like dealing with the stage is on there tiger
Do it a really good job of like kind of keeping up
We can feel like we were you know like when you when you get a if you have a virtual reality
you had to draw your barrier all along.
For a little bit it felt like Tiger was actually drawing
the barrier around the map.
We were just seeing every bit of wall
that we possibly could.
Yeah.
I'm just the kind of player that really focuses
around the idea of how to position yourself.
So I think about this a lot.
But one of the boons that King really has as a character
is stuff like Irish whip and a bajillion throws
means that he can really go for positioning a lot of the time
and do make decisions that make your opponent think twice
about even engaging in certain places.
Like there's a lot of people that will break a certain way
or even duck entirely because they expect you
to go for a certain throw.
And even this version of generic, right?
Every almost, is there a character?
I think there's one or two characters
that maybe don't have a side switch throw,
but most characters have a side switch throw.
And so like you have to take that into consideration, right?
If you're playing against one of my characters
that I play pretty consistently, Leo,
you have to know always that, you know,
they have a side switch throw that gives them a big combo
and that changes the way that you approach the character.
And that changes the strengths of the characters as well,
like whether they're backs against the wall
or vice versa.
So that's definitely something you can consider when you're playing your own games.
Yeah, yeah, no, definitely outside of the Irish whip on there.
Tiger was doing a lot of the fireman's carry, which has like a slight positioning on there.
It's good for like kind of like a quarter, 45 degree angle, like kind of like pushing you towards maybe like moving it certain on there.
So if you're really cognizant of that, you can do a lot of good with it.
Actually, even with some of the characters that have been coming out, like Mary Zoe with
her 4-4 into a 4, like up or down 2, on that where you can really kind of push your opponent
a certain way on there, I do like how we're thinking more and more about positioning at
this point.
Yeah, historically, I think, I actually don't know how much it turns in this game,
but it's like, back to, for Law, it used to turn the character quite a bit.
is like definitely one of the ways you can kind of angle yourself. A lot of people design
combos in a way where it's like, you know, it goes a little, it goes straight so that
you don't have to worry about these sorts of things. I know I do at least. So yeah,
it's definitely like, again, just a really cool thing about Tekken, just like the idea
of the concept of combo prowess at all. Like that's not a thing in very many other
fighting games, but like having this sort of knowledge and making this decision making
over time like it never feels like there's like a hundred percent right out now right
answer for these sorts of things it's definitely about about play style it's about how meta
develops it's about you know what your character does or what you want out of the character
I think that kind of ends up packaging into something pretty cool yeah yeah fully agree on that
just a quick reminder though just I I do find all that very interesting here but we do have
have a maturino as well that we, if you go exclamation point maturino, you can throw
well on that. We've already had some significant contributions to that. Mari's
sleepy with that $50 on there. I've seen that people, before we even begin, just
immediately use that claim code on there. I'm, I gotta make sure, was I one of
them? I think I was on there. But the good news is, even if I wasn't, I could
do it while talking to you right now. I could log in. I definitely claimed it
on there, but you, you, you choose whichever login you definitely have on
There's like a billion you click on that code you click claim if they're spot to quest they follow along you add a little bit
Extra no charge at all and you feel generous you've been enjoying any of the action here on TNS
Especially tech and wise and you want to contribute it all goes to the players
Yeah, so from the players since they can't say anything themselves right now
From the players in everybody TNS. We appreciate you guys for even taking a little bit of effort to put in the
little codes in there or if you're taking a bit out of your own money thank you
guys so much. So again the next one we got Mahai
and I lost the name at the last second again we got AK vs Eddie.
Okay AK vs Eddie all that. Also back to basics with the $1.50 going back to basics.
We may see I want to know more information for that on here but yeah
like I said cliff jumper 97 this is Mahi Gang Sah Sky on here going on big
Stage ought to worry about here at our rookie is just gonna go try to go pick a beeline for that wall
Yeah
Something before already next to that wall there you see cliff trip are trying to come a wall out of the side and
Wasn't able to get away from the throw so
Caps is on the way outs takes the first one
Use of a low on there. We're not stopping for anything. We're not thinking about this move
We're just going to go for the power crush and we keep at that range zero and it's working here that life bar is
Dwindling on cliff jumper side
Wolf and we're seeing already a big throw game how difference is less from like the first game right how valuable
It is for somebody to have throw defense because it's pretty much given sky two rounds now
We go in, we go into the low option for armor king on there, in other words, noobzimmer
was able to interrupt it there, but not for very long, Amahi came in there with the 4,
we got ahead with the E activation, but we don't get the connection to light, unfortunately.
Alright, it's another throw to close it out, skype, taking the first one.
And yeah, I'm not going to say it's easy, right?
King's got a good throw game but it's definitely just so so important and you
know obviously there's other ways to deal with throws but being what doing pretty
well to implement that throw game in the first one and Sky will be the first one
to who takes the lead. Yeah that and it's easy to also be like you like you're
your smother in Eddie basically like Eddie's wanting to try to get a little
the distance in there you're trying to like you have access to the the
different stances on there if you're if you're trying to get a launch in you
either looking for it down forward three or you're going in for the sights at
three plus four like on there you just try to wait for those options wait for a
width on there and you know it's really hard to do all that when you're
just up close and personal against Armory King. Yeah so I mean Eddie can
actually kind of play a keepout style a lot of his tools have pretty long range
But it's definitely easier said than done as well, but as you mentioned it risky there it is size of three plus four
Use as a way to catch high on the way in
They're trying to check it out with the with the plus the plus high on there afterwards here
But we go in we go all the way to this this is here the four four three doesn't get anything else on it
Just gets knocked out by my mind
All right nice gets to throw once again
Well, the break, very important, getting crazy in space, and just trying to get out of that situation,
but a well-timed eepers, gotta get that bound and the closeout.
Aw yeah, and he was all wound up on there, was already in the air, so the heat activation
meant you're gonna go ahead and get knocked down the full combo on a mighty,
took full advantage of it, just like we're gonna see yet again here.
We're not going to get an exploding wall in here, but that damage looks damn near explosive already.
Again, plus frames. You see, Cliffs are trying to sidestep right for the positioning,
but it actually led to their own demise as the wall splat off the throw closes it out.
Sky G is one more.
Oh, we got that launcher in the place, and this time we are going to explode something for the trouble here.
trouble here already half of that life bar is gonna be gone maybe a little bit
more depending on the scaling as we see in here are we go all the way to the other
side no it's well with the follow-up we're making the other the anime style
restand almost all strings this goes for a casual relaxed one but it was
enough to get some offense going there put a face down handstand mix
Come on, take my beloved on there. We're going to go all the way to getting the lead yet again
Little bit of great help on cliff jumper side here great break on there to get out of the the wall
Larry it just kept the plus frames they got another throw once again into the wall
I have to say I think at least five of the rounds ended with a throw
I mean obviously one of the strings of a character, but oof that's that's gotta not feel good
Yeah, that's always a little rough, especially like no matter where at what rate you are you get to you get a couple throws in there and there's a
That grappler's mentality like you start thinking okay. I gotta break these things
I gotta break them and like it's just it's like a think trap. It just gets it gets hard
It feels to me at least when I'm doing that situation. It feels harder to break those throws
I'm thinking too hard to do it. Oh, no, absolutely. You can totally stress yourself out into
I mean, you can stress yourself out for like most things in fighting games to your own demise, but yeah when that when that starts
When that ball starts rolling it can get pretty tough, unfortunately, so
Nothing you can do but just to practice it a little bit more and try it for the next one
But unfortunate I wanted to see some Eddie was one of my favorite characters in this game. So
But I quite like a K2 so
I'm pretty lucky.
Always good to see that I'm as an Eddie fan myself.
I do see, I know we have Nomar in the bracket as well, however has been running the Yerry
Zoo on there, so I know the character I've been having a lot of fun with in fact on
there.
So either way, if we see Nomar on stream, probably gonna have a good time with that, but there's
so many people just entered this bracket alone, that from week to week, it's just
really good to see.
going to have a good good character variety regardless. Yeah, totally. I mean, I think
we saw that is one of the things I actually was thinking about when I was looking at the
all the qualifiers for or the people, I should say, that qualified into Tekken World Tour
and even top eight. I think we saw like a pretty good variety, even from the people
who were mainly multiple characters or bringing multiple characters to Tekken to the finals.
I mean, I really felt like I saw like a good diversity of characters and I was a really big fan, like, you know,
Bretman, running it really far on the Leroy. Obviously, Manjre got a pretty damn far in the law.
Just really cool that we're getting to this point in the game where
and the balancing, obviously the balancing overseas and to help quite a bit.
There are some of the characters at the beginning that were overly strong.
But between those two things, we're sitting at a pretty good place, I would say.
Yeah, with the promise 2, season 3, going back to basics.
We don't have a lot of details of what that means yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what that looks like in terms of how we're going outside of those little examples in there.
We saw it look like the 4 or 2 from Asuka was a little bit slower.
I don't know if you saw the wake up on there.
Like some different ideas on there.
Yeah, so I think one of the things was like she does down one plus two and then doesn't get the two fairy follow-up afterwards
Yeah, yeah, aren't big change, but I mean I am I
think what I saw from that hopefully is the fact that they are listening to what the community wants and
It looks like that's the the ideas to push the patch in that direction. So I'm
I'm pretty pretty excited for season three
Yeah, and we mentioned earlier with like we got we got the I can't remember if we did we were talking about beforehand or like right after but like we
Right now as we began but like with Bob coming back
We got the I got Cooney Mitsu coming back
so my beloved from Tekken 7 right there Cooney too and
You know of course, it's good old Roger Jr. Returning for a surprise on there as well
So first one thing the the Coonamitsa design this time around a1
just absolutely great I love her outfit in this version I'm I also played a
little bit of Coon in it says she's she's a pretty fun character I so I'm
looking forward to see what the changes or how they adapt her to Tekken 8 the
other thing is that I have no clue because I started with 7 myself I have
no clue what Roger's all about and everybody I everybody it's I've never
I've never seen more dooming about a character launch in my life, dude, they're just like,
you understand, he's not cute.
People don't want to go to the zoo, I guess.
Like, you know, it's a zoo animal, King Rue Q, it has boxing gloves.
Oh, oh, oh.
Spud.
Yeah, right now, though, we got ourselves another battle coming to you, Timbo, Nasty
for some new benches here, the Yari-Zo versus Ryan.
Nice pickup off the kickoff there, that was a good presence of mind.
that does give you the opportunity to get a combo there.
But, since Waston flipped a little bit in red,
Revengeance trying to once again realign for the wall
very nicely in the down-forward one combo,
gonna be able to close it out.
Yeah, really good start on there.
Like with the ball, we go ahead,
we get the knockdown and to the heat-accuration
early on in here, getting all the way
to this broken wall one more time here,
trying to get the setup here.
Right now, he's really denying a lot of tempo nasty
for getting anything out of the way! We'll trade it!
Oh, nice double step!
Whoa, off the wall, I didn't even think that was gonna be possible at that angle.
Yeah, it was a really good angle.
Create some space now.
Yeah, really weird angle for that here.
So now we're setting up with the stands on there afterwards.
Little bit of switching there.
Get the key activation and the wall splat on top of that here.
But the reward here drives me directly to the next.
Man, we've been basically fighting the entire game on the wall here.
It's just like we've only used about half the stage.
The final hit on the string is actually
what ties it all up.
The risk was met with reward.
Yeah, most of the walls are broken on the stage.
I'm impressed with how much wall we are finding.
I swear to God, we were back at the same part of the wall.
We really like this, it really ties the roof together.
It really ties it.
Oh, God.
Oh, God, break down this.
Oh, God.
And then he's already, you're 60%- 80% down, now he's a heat.
Okay, we got the roll away, but we have to follow up on there just a little bit of a simple jab,
just to continue denying the stance in there from Yari,
and goes in, gets the, uh, get the kill.
Nice.
Oh, big catch on the low.
Coulda gone for, I think coulda gone for a fisherman buster, I think the frames are there for that.
But easier said than done.
Carries to the other side of the wall almost the same thing oh but yeah
Waste out my for like after the wake-up kick and there you just stay guys
Denial on there afterwards here now we're just folding for the like going in
these bits I do like a tempo using the down for a little bit in there because
you can put the stand mix of changes on top of that on there after that's
I've seen a lot of meies do that as much.
OOOOOOOOH!
Just taking a bit of influence from low-high there.
Getting the orbital on the wall, but wasn't able to get the full combo off of it.
And Timbalanasty is the one who actually ties it up.
Okay, yeah, no, I like that we can go in with the up-forward to do the access to high-low option on there.
More ways to keep people guessing on here.
And we just go in for the back one too. It gets a lot of good blocking in here from Revengeance.
But you know what? We ducked that first high. Here comes the launcher!
God, been good on that so far. Revengeance now ends again with a big lead.
But we do have that heat. We can recover some of the health.
Not gonna get the opportunity. A couple of lows. Closes it out. Takes the first one.
Okay. Yeah, we are just... We're all about infrastructure. We're about walls to this
this TNS to you so far.
I mean, yeah, I've said it on a TNS before,
but if you have your opponent on the wall,
you don't have to be better than them.
You just have to pick your right moment.
And usually speaking, you're gonna be having
the better of the risk award.
So definitely what I really enjoy about the game as well
is just that sort of playing that game
of space control and trying to get those advantages,
but going to an octagon stage, what that means
is that the advantages of that are a little bit harder
to achieve for the opponent
because the stage is more uniform.
Let's see how that plays out.
All right, we're going to go in.
We get the heat activation into the wall splat on here.
Temple of Nasty,
you wanna be able to have another chance to get up,
but we get the tech roll,
get away from the two follow up on the sense.
Hit on the ground unfortunately, so wasn't able to get the bound off that Heapers and that's going to give them time for Sinbunas to do their mounts and offence of their own.
Okay, check it in there. Okay, hatch a kick.
Keep this one mid, but you know what, we're going to go right into the, like the tornado on there afterwards, close enough to the wall here, get the boop.
Look at the boom-brah.
Uh, nice tech trap as well.
Closes it out.
Just thinking about how good that actual, that cannibal straits
actually for hitting Maryzo out of stance.
It's like, she can, he can kind of play out of range,
close that gap really well.
Tornadoes them because they're in the air.
So, pretty good tool.
Oh, that's not a joke.
Mm-hmm.
Check it in.
Oh ho ho, we got the side switch on there,
a little bit of a back turn combo in there for Timbernautzy.
But we blocked the pole blow on their afterwards here.
Revengeance was looking out for from here,
but doesn't get much else out.
We're just enough to get the key activated and a wall.
Yeah, I need Timbo to ask me.
There you go.
It's a crazy space, because the wall was definitely
going to be a scary proposition.
Revengeance though has made a couple of low health
comebacks to see if Timbo can close it out now.
Nothing for the orbital.
Not yet anyway here.
We're going for the three, two, two.
Put it on there, and we're checking with the low.
But you know what?
Head back first, and you don't succeed. Send another satellite into space with the orbital.
These orbitals have been so clutched. The northern cross gets a wall explosion with heat as well. Has the rage.
Oh, and that's... you can close it out.
You called it. You were talking about these low health victories on here right after. Target lockscended out one more time.
Blah!
I'm telling you I I'm telling y'all for the next couple of weeks after that second world tour
Don't press anything if you're Brian's on the wall because he's
Gonna orbital this guy low-high has taught them something fierce. Oh
Yeah, no, we got it. We look definitely the inspiration is in full effect for sure on here
Okay, I'd like you to write that we're just gonna do the first part of the distance at the board
just a little low from tempo to tempo.
Just gonna get a big combo here, activate into heat just to finish that wall carry,
put yourself in a good situation to close it out.
That's definitely a good one.
Goes for the heat smash.
We'll take it two to zero.
Yeah, good call out on there from that.
Revenge is going to be moving on on here as we continue down like down the list here.
We're filling out our bracket slowly, but surely we're not quite through that top 48 yet,
But I'm looking down. I see a couple of familiar names down this list that we might get to see you on stream pretty soon
So, you know, definitely definitely keep keep a lock on
Green rises to the top and some of the common players that we have seen in our top 48s are all here in attendance. So
Pretty happy for that if I do say so myself and looking forward to another bracket, but hey, thank you guys for joining us
It's a post-Tech and World Tour Tuesday, we finally wrapped it up and I applaud you for
joining us once again because you definitely could have had a little bit of a blow, but
it seems like it actually has turned into a bit of motivations.
We got a really good tournament today.
You know, people have been filling out like in the chat, in the brackets, without the
match arena as well.
It's been a good time here so far, like seeing everything go through.
I just saw an off-stream match down at the bottom too.
Luthor Jr. lost 2-3, was that 2-0?
I recall, and I'm trying to double-check on that,
but you see that I forgot that they had that down there
for the banner there.
You can see everything as it going on here.
So if you're not following with that,
Eskimo, pfft, words are hard after a tournament.
If exclamation point bracket, you can see all that
yourself, but in the meantime, you'll get some ideas
of what's happening now.
There.
Yeah, those shoutouts to TNS just have a little ticker down there helping us out on the way along.
But what we got on stage for us next is Big Ant vs Roman Jelly.
Roman Jelly, one of our very few Paul players that we got left on here.
And I really like the character, but it seems like it's become kind of a scarcity, at least in Tekken 8.
Yeah, like, few and far between, like, it wasn't like, I recall, especially early on in Tekken 7 before certain characters came out, like, I know, the first one I could think of was, I know Spirogyn played a lot of Paul instead of Eddie, because Eddie wasn't out at the very beginning of that game.
But we still had a lot of people keeping up with the Paul or having a Paul in the back pocket on there.
I've not been seeing a whole lot of that personally in Tekken 8 at this current time.
Definitely some of the lower levels, like you know, but there's still some representation of Paul.
You got that demo man, you got that death test on there, you got that big damage and like a little bit of mix up you have with the shoulders and everything in between.
It's still a good time to have with this character, but Roman Jelley has been really showcasing what Paul can do.
Yeah, I really like the character because he does have that big bet style within him,
and he can definitely scare opponents with the amount of damage you can do off of those options.
But I really like his, I really like his poke game. That's the thing that I really like about
playing that character. Like just being able to go for very cheap, efficient, low pokes,
mid pokes, things that are really difficult to sort of mount really good offenses in. He has
really good opportunities to create like a nice wall to scare people into running into things as well.
So these sort of like that kind of play styles really difficult to enact on a character like Paul because he has,
he doesn't have a natural like regular back dash. He has a sway back dash.
So it's a little bit shorter than a lot of other characters. It tends to mean you have to stand your ground a little bit more.
But I think that makes the character pretty cool because obviously the reward for getting to
Do those things is having an extremely strong tool set
Yeah, yeah, no it definitely like you have to take what like being able to like paint the picture with what you have on there
Yeah goes it goes a long way on there, especially if you're able to
To really lock down your opponent on there being like being a threat
We're looks like we're probably gonna get another Brian against it like you said
We're going to be hard to shut out there, especially if we got more influences from Tekken
World Tour coming in here thinking about it.
Looks like we have a little bit of problems coming in here before the network, so thank
you all for your patience as we're going into this.
We'll try to figure out everything going on as we go through.
I know RomaJelly also has to be streaming as well, so we probably see what's happening
on that side as well.
in the meantime y'all if you guys watch second world tour I only got to watch top 8 since I flew back from Frosty's last night
but let me know what you guys thought I
Was so impressed with loha's run just because I felt like that dude
Started feeling himself after he beat farzine
And like I don't think he's I've never seen a dude play against like that like you have to understand that like that the level of
competition at this tournament is like freaking insane right like it's the best
players in the world and like and this dude feels himself amongst these people
like I was so impressed like it definitely just looked like the best
player of the day and deserved it yeah the I have not gone through the
entirety of the TW2 I'm so looking forward to the rest of this week into
the weekend to finally get a chance to look down and watch it like all the
for all the from regionals all the way through in there, but the things I heard from from that that topic is like was definitely feeling themselves and like these like yeah was
like just the there was definitely a lot of fun being had on there's like this is how I feel at this level of the game. How unstoppable is he at this point.
Yeah, I'm here. Some of the case game matches, dude, I'll I'll I'll go back to that case case is like actually one of my favorite players just because of his
General play obviously wrapping the cause of Matt hard. I did hear some of the crazy stuff like I heard like I saw a clip or two
Rolled by the timeline while I was at Frosty and I was like I can't I can't watch this right now
Because I need to see it in its totality
I want to see it the height front the back, but I'm glad other people think so
It's not just a random clip and I'll get back to you guys on that one
Yeah, definitely so like there was a case gauge go same match
I think it was that was that was the same but regardless
So we got to focus on the here and the now and the immediate block from the low from big and to start off this match
Lots to boot as well or getting carried Roman jelly into the corner little low for the bound
But oh you always got a worry about the side switch shoulder Roman jelly right time right place for that and switches up the situation entirely
Using the heat on there another wall that there's the prize on there
We're trying to get away from this over just keep it up big use of the knee on their afterwords here hold it down one more time
Rumma jelly really trying to work that up back to into the game plan when the
It's such a good tool man
But you know what go for the damn forward one just make it make it yours. Oh
Oh god, dude, that 4-1 plus 4, that shoulder is like one of the most, if not the most evasive
auto-sight-step tool in the game.
It is so hard to lock down.
Checking those legs one more time on there, but get denied with the snake eyes on there
afterwards.
Try to go in for like a long race, but you know what, big ant is faster in here
and we're back to the wall.
for the wall action and nice little stuff away from big ant avoiding that situation and then comes back to tie it up.
Try to go in for the big jump in but nothing else for here. We're just trying to kind of keep her guessing in from the range one.
Nice. Just trying to find these little pokes. I'm loving big ants pacing right now.
Even though it's tight up Roman jelly, it's kind of a little bit on the back foot in terms of tempo
We know that how much how much Roman jelly enjoys a good robbery on here big ant trying to just like tie it up
Planned on it make sure that this can go off without a hand on there. We go in with the
That was nasty dude. He just has the pace down right now
They can't just playing at his effective range and just making Roman jelly run into everything
Not stopping the buttons coming up. We're just getting the dial. I like the little bit
We're just going in for the down for pushing that throw the Joey a little bit back
So this is so sick. Oh my god. He just played that range like perfectly
What can you say he played it perfectly that was like that even the even the 4-4-1
I always say hit confirming is not all about hitting and getting to the confirm part of it
is also knowing when it's blocked and not not doing the next part and that was
what we saw from the forward four over there not committing to the full string
afterwards and that's when you see expertise. Yes, you know absolutely being
able to like kind of recognize those situations like let me get the reset back
here not if they're if your opponent is not sure what to do on here
afterwards let's just maintain for that position on your guy go on forward
here but we're gonna see how this looks out in the next match your
Midnight siege we return to that call of duty s a stage once more
We took them all out we took all the other out this is a modern copy I swear
We started doing like a smash style
On stages that'd be sick. I'm kind of down actually I was joking in my own head, but then I sold myself on it
That sounds hilarious. No, I'm down. I'm down for you see what may happen on that comments may say otherwise
However, but we're going to keep the race to three nice knockdown on it one more time
What you need and you know what?
Yeah, big aunt is going like like like like ants usually do go for the legs
Yeah, I know that it's been four rounds of this
I really need Roman jelly to just like get aggressive like just getting your opponent's face
It doesn't even matter if your character is better at it than the other character is it just matters that you're
Switching up the timing switching up the spacing a little bit not letting the game be comfortable
The comfortable, it's a very nice couch that Big Ant is on right now.
We're going to check it out one more time.
Heat that vision, I like it better over there.
Looking a little bit better, but once again Big Ant finds the hit, it's it for Snake
Eyestone, has him on the wall, trying to go for that wall splat, but Heat Engager
gets him off the wall, the Rage Art immediately and it hits on the throw!
Big Ant closes that one out. It looks so good for Jelly, but it doesn't happen this time.
Sammy, you were talking about timing, and the way Big Ant has been putting the pressure.
It felt like just waiting the entire time for Roma Jelly to finally get a little bit aggressive.
Had the rage art on hand, just firing it away.
Good moment here, though.
Roma Jelly with his back against one doesn't take advantage of the State's presence,
and Big Ant gets out with the Heat Fingager.
Back at it one last chance one last opportunity here
We're gonna go ahead nice use of the position in there to get the side wall splat all the way back
You have your key go ahead and start using it here
It's a wall splat those four the dash plus five gets the ground
Back to wall splat knowing exactly where he is on the stage
And that is a very unique tool in that front doesn't hit confirm that blow a crusher that time
but finally a board or something on the board for Roman jelly long way to go at
this point here try it in true right again activation for big and we go ahead
with the wall splat again middle of part of your life part is just gone oh my
god the snake eyes and tried that up back to again demo man I you can see the
shit from Roman jelly he's betting big now just closes it out with the
Cannon ball straight and closes it at the right time big in that last moment going back to the spacing that was working for him
And then was able to close it out
Yeah, unfortunately it went in try to pull down the handle on the slot machine didn't get anything for it
That's the way gambling goes sometimes at the end there. So
Good stuff from big ant on their Rome jelly should have another chance down the loser's bracket as well
try to keep up with everything on the bracket, but you know what? I really like to see what Big Ant was doing there.
Oh dude, I'll give two things I liked from either both players. One, I really liked how Big Ant was controlling the pace of the match.
He actually exemplified what I was talking about in terms of wall awareness. They actually both did, with my other example.
Oh, yeah, the up back want to believe you. Oh, yeah, the up back to from Roman Joe. Yeah, because the way that it hits
It hits and it pushes pushes the opponent about 45 to nine
It's I forgot I have the specific
Degrees down at some point. It's probably closer like 80 or 90 degrees
To the left of Paul. So you like actually swings his body like that or his hand like that and it hits you to the left
so when
The wall is to the left of Paul. You have to worry about the potential that he can get a wall spot
almost every other character cannot and
That isn't just an extra tool that he gets it to for his uniqueness. It's a safe. It's it's a safe mid
It's from up back so you can do it from crouching as well. It's just a really really good tool to have
Yeah, yeah for sure and like likewise with the out of the like those like the kind of like forward momentum on there
I really like that big ant, which is like, you know what, I'm, I'm like, I'm going to
call, I'll call out with like a lot of these close like I'm, I know you're wanting to get
arrested. I know you want to get in here. I'm just going to like, just, I just want
to make sure you get denied. I just denied that ticket.
Yeah, definitely. It's one of the, I really suggest like, you're thinking about how
to like improve your spacing. That's a good match to look at for sure. Cause those
are, they're two pretty high level players. And it really exemplifies how you can
and change your tools and turn them into advantages, even if you're not getting them on hit.
Alright, in the meantime though, we finally get what looks to be a new stage!
Daphne finally on there! We got Josiah vs. Trayvon!
Trayvon on the Dragonon Josiah on the Jackie.
Oh, what a sidestep watch!
Good way to start this one off as we're already through the wall and trying to map the heat.
the full combo, but this is best to turn it into the okay right before the dirty double even tonight
all right we're making a little bit of noise here we're going to go all not quite to the wall in
there but caught Trayvon trying to stand up from the dock on the right again and you just go
then check those decaps to reflect checking i'm uh going to say it again combo drops give
your opponent the opportunity to make a full comeback and that's what we saw right there
Decide though there's another hit to start with the one plus two round opener and looking good so far
And we already see like a similar tree bomb get start to get anything started on there
We see the bubble popping out there get the a little bit that game of charge on the on display early on here
But we're going to go right back into it goes in for the three option here this time the sides which on there for
Trayvon does some some work
doesn't get the full pickup off of that one it did go on the back so it could have gotten an extension but
But some into the dirt, tries to close it out, does so very nicely there from Josiah.
He goes up too.
Josiah, feeling themselves a little bit, trying to go for the big launch early on here.
Does get the back hit on there afterwards, just going to go right into the wall, get
the shield attack, oh we, oh we're attacking it, no we are not!
Yeah, no attack, no just frame, it is hard, but it's giving Josiah a great lead,
Especially after the oaky and the rampant offense taking the first one
Josiah are you trying to go for an 80% speed run is that what I'm seeing here? That's uh, this is the wrong category
This is the fight category right here looking good though looking good the all the way through
Yeah, look good so far just a lot of really strong oaky and then we've seen a lot of that development in terms of a jack play style just being really
Persistent on the offense once they get the opponent to the wall. So that's been good stuff
However, we did see a couple of good hits on the side of Trayvon.
Just needs to find that opportunity to get that hit, create some space afterwards, and use that lead against their opponent,
because they just never really got an opportunity after that first launch to get their offense going themselves.
Yeah, like any time that they would get more than one hit, we got the first block and tried to go in for a running three,
And at that part, we was like, okay, it's time for, it's about the bubble.
We are going to go, we're going to get in it.
But we got Trayvon with the character switch on here.
We got the armor key coming out here.
I want to know what Trayvon has here that the Dragon of did not.
Yeah, not sure, honestly.
Oh, oh, okay.
We are, we are dancing.
We are dancing right now.
Get the big, the big Atlas Hammer launch on there.
But you know what?
We're going in for these big swings regardless.
And Trayvon's just getting caught on every extra step here.
Just every opportunity that he feels like he can press a button just so I can find that
hit and the AK hasn't shown us why it's picked just yet.
We're going for it again.
Familiar things that we saw from last time, but we're going in with the block from Trayvon.
We keep it like Trayvon, Trayvon a little bit of back blows when we catch Trayvon in
the air and we're keeping down in the ground as we get closer and closer to that
Yeah, Josiah is definitely just playing the player at this point. He's just going to keep
doing these 1 plus 2s because he's not losing rounds just yet and he knows it can kind of
start pissing some players off and might be getting into Trayvon's head.
If it ain't broke, you know what the rest of it that is on there. We do get a couple
of nice side hits in there from Trayvon, but we're back into what we were seeing
quite again. Josiah is in the right territory and we're going to tech that this time.
No, just, well actually we do at that point here. We're going to go ahead with
the follow-up on there to get the launch from Trayvon to get that first round, that first gastronaut on their side.
Yeah, finally something there and definitely the thing you want to see.
Build some offense or build some confidence, I should say, going on this one and that will help for sure the counter carrying to the wall.
Catch Trayvon trying to do the side step with the low.
Nice. Doesn't commit to the full string there though.
Has the positioning, this has been way better from Trayvon and leads him into a space trap, very nice.
Calls out the 10 frame heat smash, trying to find that mode, but he's gonna be Trayvon with us, the heat smash of their own.
Trying to get anything back on there. Josiah went in for that low one more time.
Trying to go for the things that have been working out old, and it's like, there's been a little bit of a change here.
We do get the Syles, Syles will save lives and we'll get the round for Trayvon after that punish.
Saves his life for sure, goes for that, lets hammer again, also get the punish.
But Syles switches himself, Trayvon has an opportunity here.
Right to Shrine Gligger.
We're checking with the four follow-up on their afterwards, but we're going to go in, we're in the prime position for that balcony break.
and we're a little bit more patient, we're blocking those and really calling out Trayvon where it counts.
I thought off the wall really well there.
Trayvon did have the small advantage, but wasn't able to make anything of it.
Josiah with the armor, able to close the pallet and needs one more to move on.
Alright, we got the follow up on Crouch to throw on their actor.
their afterwards trying to go in for another one breaks the one after was but
now we're sitting down into the dirt and you know what we haven't gone far enough
we need to get six feet under bring you back up in the air make sure you're all
good and buried on their afterwards it is gonna be Josiah moving on yeah miss the
I think just caught caught up in the pace a little bit Josiah definitely
seems like that type of player where he wants you to get overwhelmed by
everything that he's doing and that way he can get away with some extra stuff and
definitely a strategy that you can implement into your Tekken gameplay. It
happens at the highest levels as well with just different characters and
different play styles. So just worked out for them in the end. We're gonna move on.
Yeah, shout out to Josiah moving on in that bracket. I believe that was to get
into top 48 if I recall correctly. Exclamation point bracket if you want
to check that out yourself on here. Josiah is one of those players who
comes from the Virginia area, comes down to our locals occasionally on
there. So definitely have to have to face that jack every so often in tournament,
especially when they come out to docks out and beyond. So good seeing them like
playing some of these online tournaments that go from there. Yeah, it's it's good.
It's another reason why I say like you should enter these tournaments if you're
trying to actively grind this game for TNS. It's just such a big bracket. You
don't know who you're gonna run into. You'll run into different styles,
different strategies. And these are the type of games that you
You unfortunately lose in an online bracket, but you lose in an online bracket when you've
entered for free on a Tuesday just to get some experience.
You're not doing it when you're going offline and, you know, trying to go as far as possible.
And you've obviously committed not only probably a bunch of money because you're, you know,
traveling or something like that, but a bunch of time as well.
So this is where you gain that experience is actually the cheapest, most efficient way
to gain that tournament experience.
You know you'll just get more and more of it as you go along you start beating these players and move on into the top 48
Yourself and then you start playing against people who get into top 8 of offline events and all of a sudden
You know you're trying to fight against for the top spot
It keeps adding up over time and you're you're online for one
But that means you have online replays you can go look at you have go check out see what they did see what you did
See that input history like to be able to kind of like really kind of judge a distance
the best players will go back, look through that, and try to understand those specific situations
to help prevent that for both online and offline in the future. That can just only add.
And even if you go 0-2, 1-2 in this bracket, there's still the redemption bracket as well.
So if you want to play more of those matches, and you don't, you're like, well, I don't want
to enter because I'm afraid I'm going to go 0-2, or I'm afraid I'm going to go 1-2.
The good news is you don't, you can just enter more matches. You're going to get more
experience that way other with players that are in a similar the similar
Predictment as you in there
Yeah, and it's really important to do that sort of thing just because it's a it's a base for you to
Understand like if you're really trying to get better competitively
I I highly suggest just enter tournaments and yeah, you get what oh and to do you go through the Dempcher Bracket
You get own to it again, but that's four sets of you
Yeah.
Playing against people who care about their time enough to enter a competitive format
and four games for you to study.
And as Risky mentioned, you can go back into replay takeover, learn where you made mistakes,
come up with your adjustments and try your better next week.
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
You got all the time.
You got all the...
This is...
There's been no better time to get resources for the game, like as it is right now.
You can go on.
check out there's like plenty of good beginner resources on there you got
okazami.gg you got wave of wiki and like plenty of opportunity to see like
how these movies work in in iraq and like just we're in like beforehand like
can you see I know like you you know you remember the old arcade culture like
trying to figure out like like people like like trying to figure out how
certain movies work in like the tech of three days or whatever and no one
sharing anything bro you're going too far back Tekken 7 was like this yep you
know remember remember most of the way through Tekken 7's lifespan we did not
have we did not have a frame reader yeah we just had to remember when we had to
do like like we do like the frame like like frame DLC matches on there like oh
you lost you have to go buy it yeah go get that information later on too but
for a long time. We didn't have that either. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, I always say like
for whatever happens with how games get modernized, one of the things that always have been that
has been getting better, especially in this current generation of fighting games that
got released is that the ability to get better at the game has never been easier,
not just from online, just not not just from like YouTube and online tutorials, which
by the way, shout out to everybody who makes those common competitor fee. Obviously, it makes some
of our greatest stuff. Ty has made some really good stuff as well, both really good competitors here,
understanding that game and bringing you from the mid to high level. That is really the stuff
that we need in order to improve. But just in-game on its own, the training mode is robust,
Replay takeover means you can find concrete examples to our concrete answers to
Questions you might have because not everything can be set up in the same way. Tekken is a very situational game
Oh, yeah, this is this is cannot be an easier time for you to find those moments and improve
Yeah, and
Like and not only that there's
Especially if you have a like a local scene near you and all that the reason why I got into Tekken was just because of the local
everyone's enthusiasm with that and they were very welcoming to the players like
hey I want like we want everyone to get better in our local scene we want to show
up we want to go down to like we're only three hours away from Atlanta we want
to go out and show like show out to it gives like some of the Atlanta players on
there like in there like going back and forth on that so it was like it was
good to be able to have that camaraderie together as well yeah that's I mean
Yeah, absolutely. Best reason to go to your locals is honestly to make friends. I'm not even getting with you.
It's just, it makes everything a little bit better. But what makes it a little better for me is we got our next match coming up.
We got a Leo, which is not a common face that we have on for Tekken. Pretty low pick rate character at this point.
But one of my favorite characters in the series.
Yeah, definitely have played a fair bit of Leo as well on there
We saw the mayor at Frosty Fousty to get to the top eight so we had a little bit of representation over the weekend
Yeah, definitely I would say probably a hard character to play at the highest level just
Be careful with all the myriad of tools that learning when to place them and where it can get quite difficult
But Nick showing up on the Alisa so far trying to
Close his first round out with a lot of control early on. Yeah speaking of top eight
Nick RM was also in that top 8 as well, I believe lost 2 Aleo there, so this is good, maybe a good opportunity to get that little bit of redemption on here.
Nice step there from Nick, gets to the back and closes it out pretty simply.
It's going in for a lot of hoppies, nice little touch, just keeping it simple on the punish in there, the back 4 follow up on there, getting a little bit of extra distance to that wall as well, but we are seeing again, side step into the hopkick, we are testing out the waters.
I'm 90% sure 60% of Nick's help was completely lost to Tutu, which I'm also a Tutu Punishing
Joyer because I mess up the F4 1 and put 413 frames so often that Tutu, you just take
a bunch of plus frames leaving standing, has its own benefits as well, but goes into
rage here and, or sorry, into heat and gets the first one to try to take a good
lead in this first game.
Okay, we already got it.
We got the solid plays coming out of the play here.
We're playing a little bit of pure red in there,
but we're denying Akimi from
coming away from this wall.
Finally gets it!
Gets a good duck into the wallstanding
4-1 plus 2 on their afterwards here.
We're trying to go for the grab, no dice.
That's that thing I mentioned before, actually.
It just laos that throw specifically.
Side switches on throw and hits.
You always have to worry about it.
Get the big hop kick, though.
Yes, nice adjustment
Go ahead with the tornado on there afterwards perfectly like real like really optimized on it
Just to make sure they get the full life far away from a take the lead
Nice ooh great pickup as well a little close to the wall
So didn't quite get all of it, but nice Nick took advantage of the situation goes in the heat
Check it out, we want those softlades away, Akemi got it away briefly on there, but not
for very long.
Once again, this time with the Heat on there, you cannot get away, we want to chop down some
trees.
Nice patience from Akemi there, waiting for that power crush that Nyx been using quite
a bit in the set so far.
Trying to down back to Hit Confirm to go get a Heat Engager, goes into the Heat
versus Off Stance.
The rage available on them, like as access to lightning glare on them, so it's not going
to get a chance potentially if this does not drop on here all the way to the wall.
Bring up the blades one more time with a finish on their set, a match point for this very
first match.
There you go, better punish that time, I love to see it, better person than I, and
even ask lightning glare.
Great block on that, we got a little bit of lag, it looks like on our side of
but we go in we get the punish great or it's great in the heat activation and again this time going for the launch afterwards
Nice for natives a little early because the wall distance. I'd like that adjustment on the combo
Yeah, goes into the lightning player version of that with the confirm into the down four and I came you go to take that very first match
Yeah, good down for both
Where's the end? Great low to close out around my tap and a couple of really good moments for my timing
He felt like early on Nick had a lot of the momentum, but just solid play close it out
Yeah, like we were you mentioned earlier Sammy like going in for some of the wall position
You know there on the the one plus two grab trying to get things turned around there
But I do like that. We're starting to notice that Nick RMS going in for
Or early on was testing out with like the hop kick, like just from sidestep on there
afterwards, just getting punched pretty simply with those two twos on there afterwards.
But we're also trying to check out with, from this, we're going in from the lows, trying
to activate saw blades, and they're like afterwards, and Akimi has been kind of keeping
notice of that as the match has gone on.
Yeah, seems like it.
And that adjustment on recognizing, you know, some simple situations where Power
seems to be likely and adding a little bit more patience goes a really long way that kind of patience definitely is more
Obviously it can come back to hurt you especially in a game like this
You don't want to give opponents extra turns and that's why power crushers are so good and such a
Important part of the circle of decisions in this game
But you also obviously have to be very aware of it and so that was that was a good adjustment
I think it was in round three or round four where it happened where they feel like I can
It was kind of recognizing that just you know delaying your hit a little bit more delaying your button a little bit after the lock string can go a long way
So good stuff. Unfortunately, we had a dropout really quick
So we'll see if we can get him back. There's their things are rebooting their game
But thank you guys for joining us. I saw somebody in the chat there said nobody would miss Leo and you're entirely wrong
This character is awesome. Yeah, this is unfortunately a pro by a pro Leo bias on Tom carry right now
I play a little bit of Leo. I know Sammy like was talking about it as well on there. So
Definitely been have I had I've had fun with this character on there for sure. Oh, this is this is my first main
Really, yeah, this was my first main in T7
Back when back one counter it used to full combo bring it back, but
They they're they're such a
they they really gave me such a
Fun play style to go because at least for me I played very oki oriented
just because I before I started
playing guilty gear or sorry,
Tekken, I was I'm a guilty gear
player. I played from a lot of
air dasher games, which is a
very hokey heavy genre. And so
to me, I had a very simple
game plan that like Leo could
enact, which is having good
wall carry, taking people to
getting nice combos that give
you good damage. And then
once you get to the wall, then
you're able to run really good
okey with really strong mids
and really strong lows. And on
top of which they have that
I mentioned before that lets you side switch bad situations. So even if you're backs against the
wall you can always turn it into a favorable position for yourself. So I always really
like that play style. And then you spruce in a little bit of the simple mid pokes. You spruce
in a little bit of counter hits. I mean this character really has a lot of really has a lot
of tools that characters wish they would have. And it's just a really hard character to play
because there's a lot of like minutiae and a lot of little details that you have to learn to play them at the highest level.
That's why there isn't any at the highest level. It's like Richie and that's it in terms of seeing people on the world stage.
Yeah, I mean, I do like especially from a very standard point on there.
I think if you're wanting like damage, like damage to value, if you want to like to learn how to like do the better about like if you're first starting to learn Tekken,
Leo is pretty decent as a character. We're talking about 2-2 actually, for example on there.
It's such a like, if you're trying to keep basic punishes in your game, like in there, like 2-2, I believe with 12 frame punisher, correct?
11 frame.
11 frame, yeah, that's right. So, you got access to really good punishes that do a decent amount of damage on the way.
So even if you don't have the full combos down the way, you can kind of get starters like, okay, I can start from this and build a foundation.
Yeah, it's um
So like the way that I talk about tournaments is that when you enter a tournament, you're usually playing let's say for most games and we'll use
Tech and eight as our example here
Your you only have a first to two which means you're not gonna see the full move set. You're also not gonna see the full
Every single possible situation that you can be in versus one character or another
other. So when you play these characters, you have to understand that you are creating situations
yourself by in like by doing X, Y and Z and making it happen. And I know that sounds kind
of obvious, but it's a decision cost, right? If Leo decides that you'd use quarter forward
one here, which is her kind of the dablo, then then you've decided that this is going
be a gambit that you're going to run with your opponent. I'm going to put myself in a crouching
negative one position and the options here are going to be you know A, C, A, D, C, D and you choose
to do that. So learning how to get into those positions and play out of them is like really
important and Leo has a billion of them. Honestly so it could be tough to play them but
Oh, whoa!
Thank you for addressing what I was talking about.
Counter hit, Corder 4-1, and gets already into E.
From me from that, well, yeah, with the counter hit,
like, you get the guarantee on that as well.
So we're going in, knit our amp,
trying to get back into the range,
range to the three-year forward,
get the knight into the back two,
one plus two into the heat,
the heat dash on their afterers doesn't get the wall.
We're actually going back into the middle of the stage,
both the punches are going all in a Kendi's favor.
Yeah, if we can kind of keep this aggression going, make it difficult for Nick to find that moment to go into
Keepers, I think going for that throw was that kind of check
But Nick has the wall here back 3-1, nice takes the plus frames and goes for a simple low cloak to close it out
Very nice on there, two more potentially to go on here, Nick R.M.
Trying to make these adjustments where we're kind of the stuff jab to stopping in from the stance follow-ups on there afterwards
And we're kind of keeping the distance we're trying to wait for the opportunity maybe waiting for a whiff punish
So the tip RM can just dive in get the sort of a sob game going at it
See both players kind of a little tentative here don't want to fully engage immediately and looking for that first big advantage
There you go power crushers through it. Oh
What a doc on there. Just smooth sailing it all the way through
We're gonna go on to the wall with the four four three plus four on there a little bit of damage in there
thanks to the like on the side roll to kind of be very aware of what they are
in before you do oh no I didn't get fully close on that kind of got away with
it and got tagged with the quarterford one on the way out that's two up and
trying to close out the set see we're back to base his basic skill on the
follow-ups on their afterwards however we go in with the wild standing for one
plus two heat activation and again with the duck we are so ready to me
I love to see it. 3-2-3 trying to push towards the wall.
Nice stab. Got caught on the way out! That was the right idea, but it just got lucky on that string catching.
And Nick, however, gets to the heat second there, so has a minor advantage in that way.
It's like the side step into the punch for Nick R.F. here, but with the heat smash one more time,
set up the pressure again, doesn't go to stance, but the heat smash is available fire away.
That's... gives him a little bit more there.
However, Nick's in, Rage has that opportunity to close it off of one combo, but won't find it a nice down 4-4 poke.
Nice safe mid, far away, long Rage poke to close it out. You'd love to see it, so move on to the bracket.
Akemi takes 2-0.
Like, really showcasing a lot of, like, just the way with how Nick RM has been wanting to
play on there.
Try to go in for the tracking solid blades on there, the high on there, what's immediately
ready for it.
We got that hard duck, first of all, and then we got the second one, like, okay, if you're
trying to get those big gambles on here, I'm just going to go in the duck.
I got my follow-up options on here.
I got the two launcher afterwards, like, let's play the game and keep at it.
Yeah, I mean, it's a tough character, I think, to play just because a lot of the times, when
you think about options in this game, it's one of the things I actually really love about
Tekken is that a lot of the times, one option beats two things and loses to two things
and then each one of these two things loses to two other things, but beats two other things.
And it creates this really disgusting web of decision making that you have to navigate
through. And when you have more tools, that web gets more complicated and that decision
making gets harder. And what we've seen in Tekken for the longest time, especially I want to
highlight through season one and almost all of Tekken 7, is that simplicity breeds great
tournament characters like we used to remember we used to see all three Tekken 7 because to me was like
one of the best characters in the game and it wasn't because she had like nothing but like
broken buttons although I guess she did for a couple of seasons but like but like later on even
she was still getting picked why because unreal jab unreal down forward one unreal low pokes that
was it it was like alright I choose one of these three four options and then I play Tekken and
And then once, and that was it.
We saw that from Paul later on in season one of Tekken.
We saw that from Dragunov,
just extremely simple decision-making.
And when you simplify the amount of things
that you gotta think about in the game,
in a tournament match, it opens your brain space
to think about the opponent a little bit more,
think about the intricacies of just general Tekken
a little bit more.
You don't gotta spend so much brain power,
piloting the characters much.
You don't have to go,
Oh, I have an opportunity to use a low I guess I have to choose one of six of them
Am I close enough? Am I far enough? Do I have to am I gonna use that much risk?
Is it worth it to even go for this in case I get low parried like yeah decisions that Leo has to make
The dragon off doesn't have to make buddy just goes down to cool, baby
Get a low other you know like to keep it as simple and also keeping it like more ideas
So you have more brain power to think about things like maybe going to level up expo in late April April 24th to 26
2026 still can't believe we're in this year of our years on here
But you can see all the games down the list out there 2x ko with a 10k on there
Our own checking 8 on this Tuesday the 5k on their street fire 6
With another 5k smash ultimate another 10k going down there. We got some stride. We got some Marvel
We got some grand blue fantasy versus the city of the wolves is prowling on their under night to we got hundred hundred in it
But and I see like outside of Mortal Kombat 1 I see some Ultra Street Fighter 4 on the line
I want to see some I want to see some of that ultra action happening as well there
You can sign up right now at start.gg slash level up
2026 and of course, you know, it's gonna be good because it is in collaboration with GNS
$2.00 sickos and we guys still play Street Fighter 4 like that.
That game is for psychos.
Let me tell you, one of my favorite streams on the internet is just KnuckleDoo's chair.
Like I've never seen KnuckleDoo in that chair.
It's always KnuckleDoo, I've never seen KnuckleDoo in the chair.
I've just seen the chair and people are playing.
The lobby is open, games are happening there.
But it just, I feel like in my head it's spinning around even though no one's there.
It's just waiting.
Who do you think is the real host?
Do you think it's the chair or do you think it's something?
That's a great question.
I think it's like a baby city situation where you set up the chair in front of the TV and
you start the stream and you're like, okay honey, have fun.
I'm just like, alright, run the stream for me, I'll be back in a couple of hours.
The chair controls do.
Yeah, it's just, you know, you need to be a human to enter tournaments, so the chair sends out a body to try to convince everybody that they're allowed to run tournaments.
Yeah, exactly, exactly. Just kind of like making the checks on there.
I just love that like there's still people like really sitting down and playing that game.
Like the amount of, I'm trying to remember, I don't remember if I saw like a Street Fighter IV bracket at Frosty Thousand,
But there were so many different side games happening that it was a you would go turn around the corner and you'd suddenly see
Just some of the wildest stuff happen, especially in the vortex gallery. Shout at the vortex gallery, too
Yeah, those are those are pretty great friends over there keeping it down for all the the minor games of the games that have been
Like a better term right now in my head
old but I mean every you know we have such love for these games that you know
we we've gotten past and I always really like to see these people keep
grinding those games but we're getting into this one we got Fisher boat versus
Nomar Fisher but I believe getting second last we came out of really great
showing in that event so see if they can continue on the action here is
Nomar showing off from the airy yeah Nomar also had a incredible run here
like at Frosty Foulsons this year, like normally known for the eddy, but has been on the neary
zone for a little bit here and it's been showcasing, especially with the tension, the pressure that
we've been building up from those dance changes.
Yeah, what I like about this character is that even though the stance mix is definitely
a thing that you can implement into the game, it's, I personally don't think it's as
strong as this character's point of fundamentals, like driving really really good mids and
lows that really kind of keep you from moving at range. I think it's a really strong playstyle
for tournament. If you go with some of the strings from the beginning, especially when you have your
1-2-2 and your 2-2 on there, it's really easy to see. You know that the opponent is going to duck
on that second one hitting and get the launch on there afterwards. But if you're wise, you play
mix up with it like Nomar is doing right now, you can go a very long way. Nice. Two up. Just
Fissure Boat hasn't been able to really get that big thing that starts some offense, but hey, here you go
Ascending Shell receives the 1-2 round start, opens stuff up
Get a little bit of pushback, thanks to the overpowers
Checking warm force re-kicks on there, like on the high getting a block on that
We're almost acting a rage, there it is, and I like the follow-up on there
just go towards the uh that that out of the forced uh crowd stream from uh the
priari. Nice punish.
Just keeps the symbol afterwards. A couple of jabs to close it out. Fisherboats
on board.
That's on there. Goes in for that. Now that's the uh the down back uh two
four move on there afterwards I believe. That is uh like if you like
with the knee coming up on there on a higher hit. If it does get to
confirmed you do get the pull and you get another set up on there but it's much more
punishable than the downback re-version which doesn't leave you proud.
Nice block, no punish though! Opportunity for Fisher Bullet to finally get back into
it now. Does have a key behind them but difficult to find a time to activate and yet just
tries to bet it there. No more right time, right place for that power crush. Takes the
first one.
I love that like we already have like you know you're the real winner because you like that
that win quote where it's like you're the real winner because you lost right?
Hey that's true that's true you learn more from losing that means you're the real winner
yeah and now we're friends friends with the robot
So you uh, switchy-tile yourself.
Even if it was the second tournament.
Just, I'm the real winner.
I gained more from this match than he did.
That's exactly what I was telling my therapist over the weekend, my therapist being the
Chicago Deedish pizza.
It listened to me.
It was delicious.
Well, which Deedish did you get from it?
I, unfortunately, like, I had to go for, like, it was Geodorno, so, you know, kind of the
more of the chain, but you know what?
It did be good.
I needed the carbs at that time here.
Oh, dude.
I have a story about that, but if I get the time, you know, we'll definitely get
to talk about it as we get...
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Yeah, yeah.
We got into game two.
And once again, Nomar really representing that big low and keeping that up part of
the game is definitely different for Fisherboat to get around because this has a really great
office to deal with other than ducking at that and is a weapon move so you can't even look
at it.
Yeah, that is true.
We saw early on with Fisherboat getting the punish on the 2-2 from Byari on here, and
we're seeing more of the bubble coming out here trying to really stop some of the pressure
that Nomar introduced in that first map.
Oh, power press through that and it's close to the wall.
I'm not going to close it out just yet, but the Oki's good.
frames nice block but doesn't get the punish just yet and the stuff with the
ford too yeah you get the you get the like just a nice little punch on there
you complete the string from there from no more but we go in and get in with the
the one throw afterwards and I kind of need the pressure with the fours on
there not just block from fish or boat from the first part of the stand for
yeah that's that string going it's the part of the character that I think is
really strong just being able to start really strong offense from your
jab string and Fischerboot stops a little bit of there, she gets in the heat mode.
It just uses it immediately, spins that quarter.
Nice and simple close out there with the whiff punish.
No more looking good, highs up the round cut here, but obviously still has the game!
Oh my god, the Atlas Hammer from nowhere!
There, the Fissure Boat starts this one big.
A big home run derby style on this and we are not afraid all of a sudden we're trying
to make the floor electrified but Nomar is going to come back in a lot of that health
pack, they can make the activation on that stream afterwards here.
Nice.
Spends the rest of it there, just trying to keep that offense going, trying to push
Fissure Boat towards the wall.
Like I'm going for that plus trying to create that space but Nomar is really
Kaging him into this wall if the extra on the ground damage from the follow-up on there on the knockdown
One more turn of events in here. This is gonna be set only for nomar
But you know what Atlas hammer shine to the sky make things right here give another homerun
Sidewall situation after the recovery that's gonna do no more than chance to recover all that life back with the
See why Nomar is going in for that water fight.
I believe the 1 plus 2 move in there because you get the guarantee to Wildstanding 1 plus 2.
However, we're going to see much more off something.
Sidewalk, man! You know what? Never mind Sidewalk.
I'll save you two lives.
Cool.
Thought he might have a chance to close it out there.
I was making a bit of a comeback, but this is the breakpoint for Frischerbo.
Trying to stay in this set.
He needs one more to tie up the game counter.
Here we go, E to activation all that.
We're going ahead.
You see the heat special move on the follow up in here, but we go in.
I like that Fisherman just like, wait, like looked up at the very, the very base program
into the sky as you can see the combo.
Oh, right through the armor themselves, you go through the power crystal a lot, this
way you can get to guard break once again, and the route of offense closes out the
game one and keeps them alive.
Hasn't been trying to go for the guard crush route at all the sets of our use it to finish things out here
Now that's what I want to see here now one to one. No more. It's got to rethink some things
Yeah, I think it was most mostly pretty good
Fisher boats finding these pretty key hits that's leading him into great. Okie, and I think that's definitely like
That's definitely helping them quite a bit and it's easier said than done to just shut down the reeds, right?
Like man, it's just gonna Atlas hammer and make a right read when you press a jab, you know
It's gonna be hard to shut that down without a little bit more patience and even then there's counter play against that
So it's it is going to be about, you know
ways to
Make him second guess those options and try to take more without getting hit big for these moments
Power crush in there early on and they're no more going to get that nice little like block on there doesn't get anything
Nice. Engager. Get some away from the wall as well, extra bonus here.
Nice! With the counter, that was sick!
Here we go at the wall here, going in, trying to get the wall splat from the three option
off the pole.
Oh my god, dude!
The power crush is so good, the bubble getting in once again out of a bad situation.
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the stop one more time, use those, uh, what, I have no idea what size
shoe JackAid wears, but it's a very, very large one.
This is down running move, just runs the mix there, keeps it safe for the most part, no
mark doesn't want to overextend, a couple of backbashes into a beautiful down forward
sale.
Jeff, you said that here, we got ourselves A. Z. Ward all the way at the wall here.
When you go in with the set up, you have one more time to set it up into the stand, heat dash, right into the down back,
three on here, taking up the options quite a bit.
Homing move, splats him towards the wall, there's an opportunity with positional advantage, but Nomar did close out, ties up the game count.
A round counter, sorry. Oh no, no thank you, no, no, no, no, Nomar Atlas hammers.
Not, not this time, nothing for the set on here afterwards here. Get on the break.
Same mix that time off of the stance, plus keep it relatively safe for the most part,
maybe Nomar catches that on the later.
Those are for the 4-3, you have access to heat, so that means you get the follow-up
move on there that was just enough to get into setpoint for Nomar.
Backbreaker, just takes that back three on the way out.
Oh, come on, bro!
It just got blown up!
What do you got, Phil?
It's like, this shark owns the Fisher boat.
Not afraid of anything in the sea here, especially not dealing with this rope from Nomar here.
Gonna go in.
So I'd say it hasn't even activated heat just yet.
That's an opportunity to recover a little bit more than I got the deck too.
Oh, that was so sad.
Yeah, you have the built-in duct from the stance on there from the 1, 2, 3, while the follow-up on there afterwards.
Nomar, were they able to fully use it to get the Spanish on here?
But it's all for not because now we're on set point for both players to move on top 48 winners side
Nice patience there from first book gets the power crush
It's again that love playing a huge break. It's a counter hit. No one's gonna be able to carry
Fisher, but to the wall here
You see as the down four four in there just to go ahead get into the wall here one more time in it checking
You with the one four option from the ball
Oh, the towel was just a little too far. That was kind of a weird movement because the stance
came to kind of let him off axis and kind of put Nomar in a bad situation here. It doesn't
get the chest frame. Oh, it's looking horrible.
Oh, it's looking dire as well. Goes in for the 4-3 option on there. We're trying to
go with 1 plus 2 afterwards. They mediate that for Fischer Boat. We're going to go
and try to get him this time. Breaks it.
Yeah, don't worry about the chest frame. Just break the throw.
Oh, yeah, well, yeah, well, oh, no, oh,
It doesn't go into rage there. There it is. Did you cancel the time you did you got the block on there?
Time is whittling away. You don't even need the rest of the three seconds in here because that was just
Enough damage for no Marsha move on. Oh my god, dude. That was crazy like
There's a couple of they that game was definitely the decisions like that the moments of patience, right?
there's so many clutch moments that was not pressing a button or waiting your options against
the defensive situation or the defensive option and playing it correctly. That mentioned right there,
the stance being a natural duck stance, being able to get around a high power crush. It's
option that very few characters have, but that's something that's really good in that situation
and a good presence of mind from Nomar to keep it there. Like I can pressure with this
Without the worry of one of the power crushes in this situation. So that's a really really good stuff from Nomar
Yeah, and I learned learned something from that because my my experience in that like I said it earlier in the set
You have one one two two which has like the high options in there
And you got two two which has the ends with the high string on there
And I have a lot of players that are in like that middle high level
They know it's like oh
It's time for me to duck on those situations on there afterwards
But like you want to with the mid like the setup in there already armor in place in there one one two
a 1-1-2-2 option being out on the follow-up there.
You have that auto duck in place on there, you're able to get full control afterwards.
Just really good prescience from Nomar.
Yeah, totally agree.
Just being able to have those little bits of patience go a long way.
And I think I mentioned it last time, but it's like once you understand how to read
rhythm and tempo from your opponent, those little bits of patience sometimes just lead
to the biggest rewards like being able to just have that confidence in your play and feel
like you don't have to always put your opponent in a block stun.
You don't always have to commit to something.
That's the type of comfort you need when you're going to get, you know, especially into this
bracket where we have killers pretty much 48 on for a 48 on is like full of people
who've made top eight top threes at this bracket.
And this is like, obviously like one of the craziest brackets of the of the week
every week.
It's like say you got like top 48 is something big in and of itself
No, you know what? I'm taking a look
I have not even looked at this top 48 bracket on their exclamation point bracket by the way everyone out there
It's it is just generally it's like a high school reunion every time every week on this like seen
Who has like made it back on here like trying to get to that to the that familiar territory yet again
You know one thing I'm interesting I immediately see on there
And I think Cosmico in the chat talked about it earlier. Shadow with 20z is in losers bracket right now lost to
That's to sold off the mt. Oh, okay
Okay, that nice stuff like with the one note the souls play the king or the armor king on that one
Yeah, that's really souls extremely strong though. That's not like too surprising and shadow had a big weekend as well
I believe took I unfortunately second eight finals is running during some of my work as well
But I did believe he took the tournament right yeah shadow. Yeah shadow took that in the reset against nomar 3-0 on that so
Like so yeah had a big big turnout on that like like all the way through so
Yeah, you're right though. So soul has been definitely
Definitely putting the work in this game for a long time now. Yeah shout out shout out to
To to the old Ohio scene up there
Yeah, absolutely so good stuff, but you know doesn't mean it's it for shadow many elusers runs especially with what?
What is it a hundred and two of these? Oh my god help. Yeah, like it's getting up there. Wow
Yeah, it's getting up there, but
Yeah, well most likely see him as we moving on as we get king great jr. Coming up versus Tark
took her
Yeah, so
Like I need to chat, like I said, I'm trying to follow around the rest of the TW, you haven't been able to watch a whole lot of that yet.
I'm looking forward to taking some time to just really enjoy that digest, some of that, maybe on stream on my own on that.
I need to hear some of those moments from you all, so give me some ideas in the chat as we go along here.
In the meantime though, we got the Kasia, we got the Asuka coming out to play, we got the Seaside Resort.
I wish I was on a beach so bad right now. It's still cold down here, but let's go!
Nice.
Starts off early strong.
Woo! Start talking about starting off strong, but down for two counter hit.
Nice okey, but...
What if he ran into a big fist?
Oh, yeah. Anytime. Well, what if we run into these cancans on here from King Ray Jr.?
We're gonna go ahead, get with the follow-up on there with the up forward one and do it.
You get the heat activation and I've said it's time before and I've said the time again
When I'm looking for a combo how to get to the wall in any situation. I'm looking at King Ray Jr.
Oh, yeah, like they sort of talking about the cobble prouds from before he's definitely one is
Put it at the highest level just because play so many games man
He has so much experience even if it's just net play every one of those moments teach you a little bit better
teach a little bit more about
How to combo people in weird situations?
You know, unholy can with a $35 direct contribution to the match, you know, thank you so very much here as we continue.
This is a top-aid qualifier that you're seeing right now, so like, you know, this is all going to pay out to the players. Thank you.
Yeah, thank you so much. These guys fighting for it here. It's Tark trying to close it out, not over until it's over versus this guy.
But it is over now. Ties up the round counts. Looking good for both players so far.
Like 3 said in the chat, this does put the pride pool currently at $100, so a nice start on there.
We do have played all our Maserino codes on there, so if you want to get a little bit more, you do agree.
If you join us, you don't have to on there, but this does give us help out with the players.
Right now, HEAT activation, wow, I was saying all that, and we got the walls flat for Tark.
Yeah, I didn't get the opportunity to punish the HEAT cancel, but past positioning here,
here, has some offense going, trying to look for that closeout, but the sidestep to catch
this Tark, step into the right and King Ray Jr. takes the early lead.
As the Sun is setting here, we're trying to go in there, but we get the following, King
Ray Jr. trying to go for the 4-4-4 option on there, and Tark was able to punish it
up, but the low parry on that, okay, going to be able to continue that one more time,
a little bit of a delay just to try to get to the wall, and you are going to
It's the King Ray Jr.
And face down, all goes for the unblockable.
Do it up again.
Down one plus two is okay.
Double it up afterwards to close it out.
And King Ray Jr. takes the first one.
That is the potential back to basics moment like we were talking about earlier.
Let's see if that happens afterwards.
I'm looking to know if none of you want Gusto's gonna also have an effect on that.
If you have access to that, you still get the on the ground.
We don't know any of those details yet though.
Hope maybe if you're watching in the future on YouTube, you can tell us, but we're still in the dark right now
Well king Ray jr. Have to look for a job after season three. I thought whether do you did you watch him play through season one?
Like this guy was killing it with the character before oh, yeah
yeah, I think you're I
Think you're maybe underselling how good this guy is. Yeah, I need to I need to tell you
I'm not I'm it sounds a little like it sounds a little blazy don't get me wrong
But he is he's the best in the NA for a reason it is it's due to hard work
You look at any of those tns is any on the past 100 and one top eight
There's a really good chance. You'll see King Ray, Jr.
In there sometimes even in the top three for all that or even in the winner's chair on that
But right now is up one against Tark the first right now Tark has the leader as we go into the stratosphere
Well, we're just gonna deny with a one for four one plus two
I like the little readjustment there, kind of a weird combo situation.
Oh, great, you're not committing too much to that?
Something that you can cancel on the drop?
I'd love to see that.
Interesting going in for the, uh, the back cartwheel, trying to get away from the Wicked
Godfist.
But here it comes to hell, sweet.
Yeah, one of the benefits of playing Kasia, when it needs to, when push comes to shove,
You can go to these big options, yes they're risky, but they put a load on your hones mind.
Like it's back four, has the counter hit on it, didn't even matter, you didn't even need to press that combo on there, but it's on it.
Do the back three to start up the round, okay?
Dude, just has such a good read on his opponents.
Nice kick up by the way, one, one, two.
Afterwards, start keeping it small, but just spaced out on that demon's paw and got the punish on it.
A little bit of extra little push on there, using the 2-3 on there.
Not gonna get quite to the wall, but checking with that 4-2-3 mid option on there afterwards here.
Waiting for them on the left, as they have a little bit of heat.
Not even want Gus to still maintain after that, just because you used the heat option.
And just going for the counter afterwards! Wow!
Yeah, I mean maybe he got stuck deer in the headlights and just tried to scramble for option because he did held up Harry for a second longer
but kind of got away with it.
Wait, you're often gonna put 3 plus 4 on there after where if you do get a follow-up afterwards after that we're just gonna go in.
We're gonna use that heat smash into the ground explosion. No resources or talk to work with and we are healing ourselves right now.
I mean, this guy just reaps his opponent better than almost anybody in North America.
East is not good at it, but Tark finds a hit here.
Let's run some offense.
Try to mitigate this side deficit.
Oh, we get the side roll, and that is where the wall, here comes the wall splat on their
afterwards here.
You know, a little bit of a weird positioning on here, so you're trying to kick through
wall as quickly as possible.
Just gonna go in with the plus frame on the follow-up on the extension of full crouch
3.
Oh, finally got a block on their chart once again, feeling the pressure and felt like he had to go to one of those bigger options.
A great closeout defensively from King Ray Jr. takes it to 0.
I need to find that a... I need to find King Ray Jr.'s good reads account right now because like those reads, like those are worst-downy.
Yeah, he's, like I said, I think he's probably one of the best, if not the best in NA at reading his opponent right now.
like he just has such a good idea of how to play against opponent's rhythm and that's
don't get me wrong that's like part of oscars skills get a skill set obviously like things like
parry sabaki's moves that do have really good crush properties like these tools are designed to
play against people's tendencies and have the implemented well on hard reads like that
but when you play a character for that long like you just gain it into the rest of
of the character's kit as well.
And that's what we saw there.
Like a lot of the times it wasn't just
that he pressed the parry at the right time,
it was that he back dashed at the right time.
Or that he, you know, he pressed a jab at the right time
or pressed a down one plus two at the right time.
These are the things that make this guy so good.
Yeah, definitely been like maintaining a lot
of those situations and seeing what works.
Putting in a lot of hard work.
If you've not been paying attention
and all King Ray Jr is just one of the go-tos in the scene,
especially in North America, to see what you need to do,
especially if you're playing Oscar.
Yeah, absolutely.
If you're at Oscar, man, this was the best season
in the world, was it not?
Pretty good.
Not only did you have King Ray Jr. make strides,
he had a couple of the Pakistani players pick up Oscar
as well, even if it was just for counterpicks
or stuff like that, it was still picked up.
Fergus was making his waves back in EU
and he is a long time super incredibly talented
Oscar player who's been made into that character
for a really long time.
So dude, it's been, I think there's a slew
of tournament level matches for you to watch and absorb.
Yeah, and not only that, it's just,
like Fergus also plays a very different style of Oscar
compared to King Ray Jr.
Like a little bit, especially, like I'm thinking back to the tech in seven days,
admittedly, a little bit, but it was like a place a little bit more patient and a
lot of, a lot of things.
So you, there's multiple players that's like, if you want that high like level
in, you're like, if you're trying to follow players to see how this character
works, you got a plenty of good resources to look at.
Yeah.
Thank you for the, for the extra names there.
Yeah.
T.
Matanos, the one I forgot.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Maybe that was a little work too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, what's it called?
the umasa abasi pulled it out top eight uh dude uh yeah tibetano god what
tournament was it was it the was it clash the oh that champions clash of the
olympians maybe olympians thank you yeah there is there was like eight oscas and
like top eight or something like it was crazy like there were so many osca
players at that tournament um it but it's like it really showed how strong
that this character has been in this patch. But I always say I think whatever character is good,
it's like literally the best time to learn the character. I've done this for pretty much every
character that at some point I thought I wasn't good enough to learn. Let's say for example,
when Heihachi was considered to be really strong, and I played him a little bit on DLC,
or um what's his face um uh dragon off i didn't think i was gonna have to get dragon off because
i didn't have the the running inputs down as well as i wanted to uh and some of the some of the uh
the crouch cancel stuff is like can be quite hard to do in mid match and when i started playing him i
felt i got i got him down i felt like i got a good grasp of the character and then when he got
nerfed afterwards i was like okay but i i still kind of got the core of the character uh you
When the character is good, you get a little bit more leeway.
Those mistakes don't get punished as much.
You get to play the character a little bit more.
Even if you don't choose to continue with that character in the end, the reward is now
you have a better understanding of the character when you fight against the character in the
matchup, but also you've got ideas for maybe things that you can do with the character
you prefer to play as well.
Maybe there's something that's like, oh, because I'm better at crouch-cancelling
or I'm better at getting these own.
What if I tried a couple of additional things
and see how this work put your own unique spin
to that character?
Yeah, absolutely.
Like definitely, I've learned loads of things
by playing different characters.
Different characters have different skill sets
and different advantages over another
and you can just learn little bits and pieces.
Yeah.
I mean, like, go back to Hey Hachi.
I learned the value of having a punish
that's easily accessible and very good.
You know, like, I was in my head,
I was like I have to punish with the frame advantage every single time if it's a 12-framer
I have to punish with a 12 frame if it's 15 14 frames. I have to punish with a 14
I learned that there's a beauty in being alright 10 to 14 1 1 2 15
Yeah, I go firms like it's it's a gorgeous feeling, but what's also a gorgeous feeling is watching to my favorite players
Coming up for you on the stage here. You got tie versus doctor the Jake man. Yeah with the armor king on tie with
I've got a structured floor. Okay, Tide, Tide, you've been busy. You've been busy.
Dr. Jake, man, like closely behind right on there. We're already half health each on here.
No shit you can use on here, but we've got the nice little side step punish in there from Tide.
Yeah, we're as much. Look at that scarle.
Oh, I set two tries to get it to the layoff kick right time right place.
Scooby from Ty takes the first one.
Okay.
If we're using that back dash from Ty in here trying to find the lifelike with approach
us, like how smooth that is on here, but we're going in, we're trying to break the
makles.
Really going to that side sub two, kind of early on, maybe just finding that as
the main opening so far as Jake really looking for a big opening in self it's
been a lot of pokes and there it is right there the 4-2-1 yeah too far away for a
potential wall splat on there after it's over going in right into he smashed get a
little bit of extra room in here tie in and rage well one more touch gets the
final denial still in it for a moment here
excellent health and Jake man doesn't need to do much nice low to close it
out there ties up the game for the round count.
I need to use up the side step in there trying to get away from Dr. Jake Van Frim.
He's lost any 2-2, turns it into mix, pushes them all the way to the wall with the Jaguar run.
I like just not pressing anything at all, just like we're trying to get to that wall.
Nice gets to pick up there, gonna see the other side of the wall here.
Oh, we got the pick up two on their afterward here one more touch on their check that noggin
So difficult to be faced down in that situation, but that was a great combo from tie who makes
that opportunity happen at all Checking on the chain grab got round one
checking the two are we going to distance There's no finish a third and get the follow-up
up a down four report.
And not much damage, but just tacking in what you can get.
It's a big counter hit too.
Jake man has Ty on the wall here, looking good.
Oh, what a step on the heat smash.
Just like that though, and we get the Giants week too.
Whoa, we're going through that wall.
We don't even need the follow up on there.
We got the damage, and that is gonna be it.
First, the first match, Ty taking the first one.
Looking great so far. Just a couple of these really clutch movements, really clutch decision-making
there, working out for Ty who takes the first one. Jake man looking good so far, but definitely
just the difference being these couple of moments that have led Ty into rounds.
Yeah, Ty is like, the back dash has been really clean in there, like going back and
forth to try to figure out where, what Jake man is wanting to do. Noticing that
We're with Jake man's going for a lot of lows and really responding to kind like the only thing that
Like we got a couple ankle breaks in the the alleyway kick in there from there from Jake man
But nothing really much else
Yeah, see what the adjustment is we're going to yaksima so a stage that King I think really
likes I don't know I mean King Scott
throw-ender but I mean I don't know if he likes the stage as much as let's say King
does that being said I think that I've seen from Tai a open stage-ender that
looked pretty good so maybe throughout this game too we'll see that.
Oh beautiful duck in there from Jake man just goes in front there for the low
just to get reached set up on there afterwards here a little bit of a jaguar
roar gets a punish into heat just to kind of get going and we're fixing up
with a little bit of a shiny wizard. Okay, this is a little bit different from Jake Man.
Yeah, so that's an interesting benefit or maybe not benefit of the of the big stage is
that now you can really apply that mix between shiny wizard and giant swing because you
don't have to worry about positioning throw wherever who cares you just make the opponent
guess.
And we are guessing so right on the side of Jake Man here we're going to go ahead
Bring down the Thunder one more time.
Get the, like, a little bit of,
goodbye to that middle part of your life, Barf from Tide.
Has a little bit of great help on the side here,
but you're not even gonna get a chance to even think
about using it.
Get the Heat Smash out of here.
Jake, up two.
Jake, just getting great read on the timing here.
Just cutting his hits a little bit short there.
Ten string of all things,
it catches him with the last bit.
Yeah, we've been thinking the strings a little bit here,
but we're gonna break away
as Tide tries to get off the ground here,
But a punish in here for Ty would go all the way back on here.
We're not quite back into the water one more time.
But you know what, this is going to help.
That goes for Kerry on that one and runs over to a wall.
Might be happening or Yakshima.
Oh, the rare wall siding on there.
Got to get some driftwood on there, but we're going heat.
Smash yet again.
Oh my god, look at it.
The wall is real.
It's so real.
Healthy lead there from Jake still not he's
Rapunzel. I love to see that plus frames keeps it simple with the down three
I
Like that like Jake man, which is like testing out the okay
You're not gonna move from ducking with juice get out of the way breaks the fireman carry two seconds left
Doesn't even matter at this point here tie
I thought it's not gonna make up that deficit in their state. It's gonna take that one tie up
Yeah, good good rhythm change
I think from Jake man who just sped up his speed just a little bit caught tie a couple of times there and
Other than that just got some really good movement really good. This is making so tied up one to one
Both players have made adjustments going through this
Set in the first two games. We'll see who can make up the difference here in game three
I think if you Jake man, you're gonna hope for like one of those larger stages
You're maybe gonna we've been seeing a lot of repeat stages. Maybe it's Yaka she must turn here
Maybe we get a call to see him on there
Like you don't want to see those like top of like those little smaller stages for that has been taken full advantage of
So we're going to seclude a trading ground so kind of a scary
Stage it's not only the wall breaks on both sides, but it's a relatively small stage
Like before the breaks obviously, so yeah, you're gonna have to be really worried about where you throw the opponent
Really depends on first blow on here. It looks like we're going to go in with the low
Of course not going to break that ball some wood on there afterwards
But we're just gonna go for the legs one more time into the chain grab city population too so far
We're just gonna leave it aside keep armkey on the ground. I still lay there from time
I got away from the homie check and got thrown to the wall for a struggle
Can't go out of the heat on there like on the Pritchett just go right into the heat smash
That's all you need put that put that dot on your side
Dude, it's... King players are so good, they just have like an in-state for when to use that heat smash, it happens immediately.
Jake may have taken it early, Lee and Rite of Pizzletie got a great whiff on us with the Crouch-Ass 2.
If we're going back into a wall here, we're gonna keep that down for a second here.
If we get the reset on the wall, get that break down, it could be very nasty.
But we are going to the unbreakable wall on here, and you can see that damage dwindling down,
And the aggression has been noted by Dr. the jake man.
We're just gonna go right into the range.
I get a little bit of the health back and maybe take back some of the pressure.
Yeah, maybe looking for a heating gauge here because,
yeah, I was gonna say the positioning is really good for a 4-2-1, but
just keeps the aggression going and gets the flip.
Both hits independently close out the first or the second round.
One to one here critical moment as we go in.
Again, another top-a qualifier. We get the side step into that back turn combo. Let's go in with a big Zagger!
Nice gonna be able to carry. Oh, no, just short. I thought he was gonna get there.
But Jakeman, you see, immediately trying to step off the wall, trying to take the bussiness for himself, but Ty took attacks.
The mid on their right back, he has been dissipated on time, side boat, jake man immediately extinguishes theirs, and we're going into the rage with one more time, catches Ty, pressing a button on here, whoo-hoo-hoo, that, that's, that's, that's the decent chunk of damage, but that's a long way to go.
Well, it's too close for comfort, but it's one throw away doesn't just go for the dash up down for it
What the low he returns the favor the crotch gap
Closes it out Jake man now at set point when push comes to shove Jake man is taking the lead all of a sudden here against I
Shove oh shine black
Oh interrupts the follow-up on Jack Barroar on there. We're gonna go back in, he is activated
on my side, we're just gonna go for the Dark Copper.
Yeah, pretty good position here, Dash. Don't know if it's gonna close it out. Great combo
selection too. Off angle, so I didn't know that 341 was gonna connect like that, but
it certainly does for the closeout.
I need to get no approach from Jake Man to get the corner of that whiff punish on there,
but we're trying to keep it back.
Taizy isn't that movement yet again, not approaching till after the Jaguar roar has ended.
Oh my god, once again, have that bait watch.
These have usually led into Ty's favor.
Still a chance for Jake Man though, has three smurfs.
Pulls us out of the way, smart decision on here.
We're gonna go ahead, bring the wall, introduce Ty to it here.
Last opportunity, you still have access to the heat,
immediate heat smash for the plus frames.
Oh, I love how he used that heat smash.
What's standing three wide, all the stunner.
Oh, red, despite it wasn't enough damage.
Oh my God!
Oh my God, the clock from Jake, man.
And he's gonna be the one who pulls it out,
takes it two to one over Ty.
Oh my god, I can see chat is chat is chat is erupted into confident letters right now
You know if you cannot see it if you you should have been here live because Jake man is gonna be moving on
Into top a holy oh god. I want to by the way really could quick thing about what I think helped him close out that set
Is he use the heat smash of his own?
Right as ties heat
was dwindling. So he timed it at this time where he couldn't get the amount of his resource
or the get his resources back from ties. So Ty didn't have this opportunity to sort of like
just throw out a move. Obviously he smashes being generally super strong across the cast
to try to take his turn back and he got plus frames and then was able to close it out.
And like that's what I talk about when I say that like if you pop heat second, you're
usually at advantage versus the opponent because you're going to be the person who
who has that ability to sort of dwindle the rest of their heat.
So you caught up, this is sort of this dynamic
that you have to play.
Because if you can have that over your opponent,
you can close their heat out before they do.
But obviously you can't do that if you don't have
like a health lead, it sometimes could be too beneficial
for you to hold on to that heat
rather than to try to lock out their heat.
But in that moment, it was like really, really clutched.
So that was great stuff.
Like really incredible set all the way through here Jack Jake man like it dealt to the wire there at oh
I there's another feature that I like was absolutely
Was taken it was being extremely solid with some of those strikes in there from from armor king being able to kind of get it
With like with with those like with the launches that we're seeing especially in that except using the wall to a great advantage
Yeah, I mean obviously with both the Kings
That's gonna be a big deal with multiple throws that death of deal with that
We saw that early on right with the Irish whips into the wall in the broadcasts. I should say but yeah great stuff and
That is going to be jake man moving on
Yeah, and it looks like we got our last winners qualifier for top 8 coming up next right now
We got jake a breach versus uh, I like up from versus X right now
Yeah, so we got
a couple of more we're starting to fill out their losers bracket so yeah we're just
kind of straggling along a little bit but we got some names that are familiar to
like both like through the stream coming into the side of his Roma jelly right now
sorry yeah I was just looking through it myself actually um rhythm and a Kenny
that looks like a pretty good one shout us making this way through losers
Despite dropping before 48
Swing over Fisher boat swing blitz over fish mode. That's pretty good. Just sigh a verse Roman jelly. That's looking pretty good
big ants drops
to
Heart who is the person who then we saw first king or junior?
So big ants making their way through losers fees making their way through losers Joe crush is
Who did Joe crush lose to Joe?
So that's the JJ. Oh, okay. All right, two to one
All right time to take your top bait spot and you you eat one of the most winningest players in
TNS see if you can close it out
That definitely put in a little bit of work over over frosty to definitely
Especially that 2v2 bracket looked like on there as well, but we got ourselves in there
We got the HawRong vs. Law, the Zen guy vs. JJ Breeze right here right now.
Playing a little slower here, JJ Breeze, just trying to find the right moment.
Plus and plus frames, did get the throw here, this is looking good.
Checking those ankles a little bit after, until, I like, I always like it watching it,
like you're hitting the ankles until the HawRong activates feet on there.
It's like, wait a minute, I gotta start the engine.
Oh, yes, it on the way out sex doing really well. Oh, no, that's great steps from JJ agrees
Look at how he mitigates the damage by being able to step off the wall
And what did I say before don't need to be better than your opponent if you have the wall positioning with it down for
Do he catches him sidestep and left that's a great read from sex
Obviously you can use that knowledge to your advantage as sex does right there
With the heat or the Ranger
A beautiful way to- OH NO WE DON'T CLOSE OUT ANYTHING, HE'S ON THE MENU, YOU NEED TO GET THAT TOUCH ON HERE!
Here comes the HE- OHHHHH, you try to go for the- you feel a little bit of like the grab on there afterward, here's Dex, takes that at the end.
OOF!
Showing up that down port too again, so nice you'll see it twice, but doesn't get the full combo!
I'm gonna give JJ Breeze an opportunity to make a comeback here.
All the certs they're adding up here, another one to the low pile on there, afterwards here, tying up the round count.
Okay, one more low for Harawak. We're going in from the side-slip.
JJ Breeze is ready, goes in for the flips on there, gives the guarantee tornado all the way through.
Little bit of nunchucks on here, heat activation. Get that wall extension there, not quite to the wall.
We can get the follow-up with the nunchucks on the knockout after it.
Yeah, but after that slide, put it back against the wall.
Opportunity for Zex to make up the difference here.
Hit the mid check.
It's a change, it's just trying to find the moment.
Have some snakes, press a button, can't find it, and that's gonna help a little bit, but Zex still has a good life lead here.
10 seconds left, a lot of these matches are going down to the wire here, but it's going
to be a Zexa guy going to get with the follow up there, going to get the lead here as we
begin.
Yeah, taking the first lead definitely will help you out quite a bit as another downpour
to connects with Zexas having great reads on those.
Changes out on there by like a little bit of the gap in their fight with J.J.
to re-activate heat to great effect on there!
Oh, nice!
Just pulled off from the throw there.
Gonna need one more afterwards, but he's constantly recovering heat because he's using nunchuck moves.
So he's still looking good on that front.
Yeah, the... the... the... the... the after-nomance on that heat.
Until the heat special spins all the way and you can't take it with you so you fight as well, ties it up two to two.
Ah, Zax never really finding a moment. I think trying to find a Keating Gager there to recover a life pack, but JJ breezes with a nice close out as both just little pokes here. No big launch just yet.
Yeah, I'm just gonna get the dragon hammer to close it out there.
JJ Breeze takes the game one.
You like like a lot of the denial on there from like you 16 like okay going in the flamingo stance or trying to get anything going the hero
I got to do something like we have like access to duck jab you kind of things
But you might as well use the resource you got to pop that heat sometime
You want to use like use that to take advantage on there JJ Breeze using that to the great fans actually
Yeah, looking good so far, so
So, definitely a lot of back and forth though, it's just kind of the nature of the way things
work with fighting games, first person to make the difference at a critical moment like this
gets to take the first big lead here, but you can definitely see it going the full distance.
One of those games, as we see if Ginger Grease can use this lead to his advantage.
Alright, we're starting out with us to rank on here a little bit of a positiony
and you get to confirm on here.
not staying upstairs for very long here but it was anything to say to do with it
non-chussed but yeah that that was extremely far like you were you were
hoping for a dream yeah I mean it's hard to calculate some of the scaling once
you place a wall balconies into it because if you do it hits on the wall
which increases the space scaling that you have on that but like yeah I mean
on the last stage your breeze turned it into something else took the other
wall interaction down here and takes the first round.
A intermediate on it, trying to go in for the grab, gets broken on it, a little bit of that
side position that we were talking about earlier on there, but you know what?
Continues the follow up and here JJ Breeze cannot escape from that launch.
Nice.
Going to finish that strain, tries to match it with the heat on the burst, just trying
to keep his advantage, but doesn't get it JJ Breeze, nice launch, not a full combo.
Never mind who's always a mix-up. He and Engager.
Get some nunchucks on the way down the Dragon Hammer close to another round and JJ breezes at that point.
I don't really like how that, like just using that as a follow-up, it's been working quite often on here,
but as we'll continue making it happen on here, we're back into it using the Power Shrush to get away from it, back into it,
and here goes another beautiful launch from Zex.
Just frame Skyrocket changing the tide to this round.
Definitely something Zax needed in order to start putting himself into this game too.
Maybe you want too much into the low pile on there afterwards here. Jaydebreeze with the launch.
Stuck in there? Yeah, you got to have to feed Dash on here.
You still have one more interaction to go here and your fudger in a good position to go with
that mid to make it happen here. Yeah, nice close out from Zax. Definitely need a round like
Like that?
I'm sorry, 1 plus 2.
Jhin here greased, just feeling like he can make nothing but right decisions, and Zex trying
to answer back now.
Far away on the follow-up on like, like, from, from, from, from Haraw.
We're just getting a little bit of denial here, keeping a little one inch punch.
Follow up, very nice.
Put some face down.
Let's be carried to the wall once again.
Zex, heat dash.
Gonna need one more.
There's the double on the low.
Zex has given himself a lifeline.
Okay, surviving on here. Again, this is winter side here to get onto to into top a being a very good position another dragon's hammer in there
Just backs away from the follow-up from JJ breeze
And just getting tagged by a lot of little things here sex trying to find their moment
Stabilizing that match with the heat burst trying to find some plus frames. Oh
Oh, wait patiently on there with the sidewalk to the left from JJ Breeze, another heat smash
on there to maintain it.
We're going to use the nunchucks, and we're going to get launched anyway with the confirmed
from Zex.
I think I saw the startup of heat smash there just trying to use it at the end of
his own heat.
The plasma sword coming out at the right moment.
The Sechs with the three round comeback ties up the game.
That's what I want to see.
That I want to see from this little match
to continue to happen here.
JJ Breeze, no stranger to this position
like getting into top eight here.
Want to see what Sechs can continue to do here,
surviving on this winter side.
Yeah, I mean, it looks good for JJ Breeze.
Got to really start a big start early on.
But just, I can't believe Sechs pulled that back,
especially that last round where I thought,
You know, DJB's played some really good defense and he pre-weighted out the rest of Zex's heat,
and I was like, oh yes, like no resources, there's no way.
And sure enough, just played solid enough to close that one out, and we're going to Yaksima for the final.
All right, big dis is no walls to worry about, no balcony breaks, just good and peacefulness
amongst the violence in here.
Nice back turn combo though, they get things for Zex.
Yeah, looking good early on here.
Can't carry that momentum from game two.
I
Rock and
Relax, we don't need to do all of that simple regular launch would have done the trick
But nothing sense a statement like that. Oh no, sometimes you gotta you've got to make sure that the check is you check your riding
Say you got to show off a little bit
We're going up right now
Nice. Oh, the peacekeeper. The five straight and six will give Zex the top eight spot.
Oh, that was purely a perfect in the first round. That perfect on the second. This one's
not going to be perfect whatsoever here in JGV. Trying to fight this back here, checking
out with these mids.
Oh, that's going to be airborne. Yup. So the heat burst bounce for a full combo.
You know what, you activate me in heat like when I'm there?
How about I float you instead?
Let's trade.
Let's talk shop.
KG Breeze being able to return the favor.
Really good for him.
Obviously, getting that second means he also got to recover all of that life that Zex
just did to him.
Mostly great life.
So, gives himself a lifeline.
Just like in game two.
Can we see a comeback?
Aw, we got the float on there, throwing the Wild Spangy core from Zex in here.
A little bit, a little bit, Zex doesn't complete the jump yard, but we're going to go and just
check it out with...
One more time, you're here, comes the Heat from Zex.
Oof.
Looking good.
Activate.
I think he's going to need one more, but he'll put himself in a good position here.
Nice.
The delay.
Heat smash.
We're getting a repeat of Game 2, but here's the difference.
One more to the side and gets in the top eight.
J.D. Breeze has been on the line for a little bit here, but turning things around here.
Chanceling it out into the mid one more time here to the approach into the side step launch from Sacks.
The bounce.
This goes for the spike there. Takes the O.K.
All power crossed through.
Plays that space peacekeeper. Nothing there, but gets some cross frames.
Wait patiently on that while standing forward to get the punish on there.
Nice!
Nice with punish!
All the banana flew!
Oh my god!
We're sliding.
We're getting all up, no heat, club rage, 4 days and you may have been a little bit too
preemptive you are!
And that's going to be a JJ Breeze moving on with 8 seconds left to a dynamic set.
I cannot believe that Rage Art.
That was, I mean, I think that he just felt the pressure at that moment because he definitely felt like,
I mean, you think about it, you're five straight rounds and the opponent gets one and then you feel like,
oh, I can feel the momentum shifting.
You want to do something to stop it and at the last second.
I mean, but hey you turn around fair play and also JJ breeze was carrying a lot of momentum in itself
How many times have we seen that momentum stopped by a well-timed rage art?
But JJ breeze once again proving me right, which I love by the way just a little bit of patience goes a long way
He's gonna be taking that top eight spot
Able to change that around like here. We saw a little bit of delay at later on as well just to try to like make
Zach make a zaxa flinch at that point
especially when you have when you're running as hot as X was in those first two matches
It was like a near perfect and then a perfect and was just like maintaining like orchestrating the entire orchestra
Playing the song to their their tune JJ Breeze just got like hold on. We got slowed down. I got take it back
Yeah, I mean that's just that it's definitely one of those
Concepts that I myself had to train really really hard like art when you when you go when they want to go
Listen to rage. You don't do the same things you did before. Don't run oki the same way.
You just have to play a little bit more solid and use that concept as a mix in it of itself.
It kind of changes the landscape of the game because obviously with eight frame power crush,
it means you can react to a lot of things pretty easily and be able to get a huge damage
on it. So good stuff that JJ Breeze moving on. And I believe she saw it on the side
That means that's extra down to the top eight spot and then the winner of rhythm
Versus shadow will have to play sex to take that top eight spots. That's that's pretty big and if I do say so myself
Yeah, and we're breath of probably see that match right up here. Actually, this is gonna be a good one
Look at also down like we'll see that shortly
But I'm looking down at the rest of it began still in it versus that's right now
FDX vs. Joe Crush is on that, that's been ongoing for Ludo, whoever wins has a fight against
Ty.
We're a little behind on terms of who fights between, who will fight Nomar in the end,
but Nomar is waiting on the top 8 loser's side for that, and of course, Swing Blitz vs.
Josiah is going to decide who fights against Tark the Turk.
I mean those are all fantastic matches, try to get as many of these as we can possibly
get before we get to our top 8. But hey, thank you guys for joining us. It's been a wonderful
Tuesday, man. I didn't think I was going to have the energy for this after Frosty, but
man, what do good matches do to change the amount of energy that you have for something,
right? You're sleepy and all of a sudden you get to see a great match and you're
just so high backwards.
Let me tell you, I had a feast of a time trying to get back from, I'm not too
too far away from Chicago where I live, but the flight back was kept getting delayed.
I was hanging out on O'Hare Airport.
You probably saw me at every gate down there if you were up here trying to get through.
I saw quite a few players getting to their airplanes and me being just a slightly jealous
on that.
I was worried, maybe I won't have the energy, but it's been exciting.
We've been going down to the wire, especially in this top 48 on here.
I was worried about my own voice actually after Frosty Faustin's because I did definitely partake in the karaoke room quite often.
Especially once my commentary blocks were done, I was just like, you know what, I'm all in.
I don't have anything to worry about here.
That's a stronger man than I.
I definitely just sat around like a lazy bum after Saturday Sunday, dude.
I was like, I'm not, I did my 2v2 block.
I was like, I'm done, man.
Oh sit around watch other people play casuals. I ain't lifting up a finger. I
did
like I
I need to I don't like it's I
Wanted it like the carry if you haven't been the frosty fousing the karaoke room is also in the casual room which by the way
Frost if you need if you want to get casual games offline
Frosty fousing is the place to be on that. It's like I I don't think
Sometimes it's hard to get casual, like find the setups on there. They have a whole room setup for it, so we like
If you're if you don't mind play like going with the the karaoke for a little bit
Which was begging by the way shout the Asian for holding that down also
But yeah, you get like that for all the games all set up
Just getting going I played a bunch of Tekken on Sunday. Just chilling just enjoy the vibes
Yeah, it's I mean it was it was a really good tournament. I had a blast and yeah next year
definitely I felt like towards the end I was like man I really wish I brought my
stick because I was kind of joseph for games after after Friday there's like
did a bit of commentary and I was like oh my god I want to play games so badly
but baggage fees are not fun and I that's you know that's what I hate
about you hitbox players is the fact that you guys get to go through get to go take your
carry on or your laptop back or whatever it just slips in there fine you don't have to
worry about the big bulky thing you you that that's the real cheater box I had two of them
with me by the way I like all my carry on I had I had my snackbox micro and I had a
back of one just in case and I could have I just had it in a sling bag that I just carried on the
plane like that's that's that's how I did it this world isn't designed for for our katesick players
anymore guys the old men the old men are a thing of best it's so weird to me I've been going
to tournaments for like a decade plus now and like to see most of the controllers be hit boxes
These are pads.
We've strayed from God's light, let me tell you.
I mean, I adopted pretty, I want to say early on, but it was 2018, it was out for a few
years at that point, but I guess things were kind of starting to make the change, but I
was like, I saw that controller and I was like, I want to hit buttons, I love hitting
buttons.
What do you mean I can make directions buttons too?
I can slap on those songwraps, hell yeah.
I will I will do that all day every day, but
That all being said I'm I'm I might I do have my stick which I love the death by the way, but
What you have by the way? Oh my god. Do you want to see it? Yeah? I want to see yours. Wait. Wait. Hold on
Let me rephrase that yes. I want to see your arcade
Yeah, I love it is that a that's a tee was it the tee to her
this is no it's the what's it called it's the old Street Fighter Cross Tekken TE plus
yeah okay yeah yeah like I love it dude that's I've had this thing since Street Fighter Cross
Tekken's launch and I have not made a stick other than this one since I love this thing is
awesome this you know this thing was designed to do by the way do you see all of this like
all these little like bolts here.
There's like 30 extra bolts on this shit.
Right. Yeah.
So it's a metal.
It was designed.
I don't know if you guys remember it might be might be too old
for a lot of people here.
But this was designed.
It used to be that you used to buy these like extra plates
that they sold and like you used to pull these out right here
and then attach another thing to it
so that you can connect two of these together.
Like so they're sitting like.
Oh, yeah, like a two player panel.
Yeah, exactly.
Essentially.
No one ever used it like that.
But it is a nice, big arcade stick
that has a lot of weight and fits on my lap.
And I am, yes, I'm, and I also play on Windows.
So it works natively with PC, which is an extra benefit.
But this thing, this is one of the best sticks of all time.
That's why I've been playing on it for 14 freaking years.
There you go. It's like you're able to button breaks. You're going to be able to like slide it out put another one in there and make it work
But it does everything you need to and you have like because it's the Xbox version
It has that breakaway cable too. That's important. Do I have I every tournament I go to
Oh, wait. No, all right. No, it's right here every tournament I go to
Yeah, oh way cable
And we're good to go. I never my USB is never ruined
because I can always just buy a new one for five bucks.
There you go, beautiful on there.
I have to say, even though I do play
mostly on level list these days,
I am jealous of one of my friends from the local area
that has the Quamba Dragon, the beast controller,
and takes that with them,
what takes them to every tournament,
and I'm just like, it feels like that's like the,
that's the monster truck to me of those types of shit.
Oh yeah, dude.
That thing's, I, oh, what was it called?
It was the old Vilex, the big Vulix one, do you know what I'm talking about?
Yeah!
Yeah!
The one that's like the Buster Sword of Arcade Sticks.
I've wanted one like so badly for so long because that thing is terrifying.
I will not piss off somebody if they have that on their lap.
It's not an Arcade Stick until TSA has a lot of questions for you in a private room,
but regardless of that, RIDDA vs. Shadow 20Z in the loser's side, by the way, is
happening right now!
Oh god, I mean, from just talking nonsense that having a great match here, Rhythm on Malaw,
Shadow on the Saphina, choice of weapons here, but just trading back and forth, Shadow looking
for that moment to get something started, but they're just playing some good defense
so far.
Oh yeah, back in the, these Airbnb right now, we're trying to hold it down here,
we're not quite to that wall, that balcony is just guaranteed a break over, it's just
waiting for any possible moment here.
Get closer, closer, guys. 20 seconds is on the line.
Yeah, and just wasn't giving Shadow a lot to work with there.
And Rhythm, good first round.
How he was hitting the back, I'm not sure, but it worked out.
Worked out, worked out. We're getting like a little bit closer.
Keeping those plus frames from the stance, from the subpoena.
You see Rhythm trying to step away from the wall there.
Gotta keep it in back. Oh, we're trying to get that little bit of thinking of approach
from Rhythm on there. No dice, though, from Shadow.
Yeah, Shadow getting the better of this neutral so far here. Little pups and pods working
out for his favor. Finally gets a launch, and this is the first real big advantage
for him.
We finish up on the string on their ties up the round count round three here we come
Nice catch some stuff in could ease the homing move
Yeah guaranteed nunchucks and the sites which away from the slide as well
So it gives him the breakable any music here. Oh
Ooh, oh keepers, we're scaling this combo quite a bit and now the other balcony is behind
them.
Yeah, we may be wanting to get that reset on the balcony, try to get all the way to the
other wall and get the maximum potential on there afterwards.
Followed up with a one-inch punch here, but here's the heat smash, keeping it plus on
there afterwards.
And we go in to the wall, but we get the launch by Shadow 20z.
Yeah, good defense the entire time.
I mean, had the balcony behind him, so a lot of things were going to be potentially
Big damage, but wasn't able to find that hit and Shadow takes the life lead back
Checking out with a jump guard a little bit on there
But just so right into the heat smash on there afterwards because Rhythm has been checking out with the first couple hits of
Of jump guard and doing nothing else afterwards Shadow just felt comfortable to let it let it fly and fly
Hit some out of the air so not gonna be a lot of damage here
Rhythm just trying to find their opening and just
Yeah, it doesn't feel like either player, once they get the little bit of a lead, it's been so difficult to hold them back.
Aw, and we get the little bit of a side-stick away on here, but it's just a straight shot all the way to the wall for Shadow 20z.
May not need much else afterwards here, just gonna keep it up, full has access to the Heat Dash, just to make sure even with the scaling, you're gonna complete that gradient higher life bar from Rhythm.
Yeah, that match was literally all about taking a minor lead and using it over your opponent.
And yeah, there's a couple of really good reads there that give you those, give you those
small leads.
Yeah, absolutely.
But it's just the understanding that when you have advantages, like having a minor life
lead or having a better positioning, that you can go for a little bit more and not
have to risk as much.
And we saw that from like, let's say, from Shadow who understood that the positioning
with the balcony behind him that he could constantly spam these big buttons that would give him a big
reward if he got the balcony or rhythm when he got that side switch with the slide recognizing that
the breakable meant that he could get a little aggressive there and get better reward out of it.
So these things these adjustments and these understandings of every risk award depending
on what the situation is is why these guys have such difficulty taking leads back from one
another. Oh absolutely and we see Shadow 20z get the lead on there with a
knockdown guaranteed hit punish from the from the hand being in front there right
now but the nun chucks are coming straight out with the follow-up and you
even get them OTG. Yeah that's one of those twos just it's just an insane button man it's so
good it's pretty much made this character in Tekken 8. Yeah Tyler wanted to use nun
chucks when I was a kid like like I thought it was so cool I would
He definitely hurt myself on those.
Aw, we all have, absolutely.
There we go, kind of bound with the key first here.
We're thinking about breaking ankles, but not for very long here.
They rage aren't coming in.
You're gonna watch the cinematic here in full 3D.
Yep.
Good time to do it, if any.
You're up a game.
You're losing a round.
Might as well try to steal it and it works out.
Trying to get the check on the afterwards here. We're just gonna go in for the low one more time here
Tough look finished there shadow trying to get it with the 444 he's once again playing around that positioning
Break
Okay, Scarecrow goes in for the low on there, but we're just, we're crawling.
Nice.
I was gonna say, what can you do if she's gonna sit and stance down there, but Scythe's
a great option.
Yeah, actually, being able to get the approach on there afterwards here, he is still on
the menu for Rhythm.
Not anymore though, still on the rage.
Oh, I feel like 10 seconds left and can't find any real opening.
It's so tough versus players this good.
Yeah.
Oh, we go in with the big explosion.
That really, you know, we're going to pause this, anything.
Yeah, of course, Shadow 20 is not going to go for that at all.
Two up for Shadow.
I mean, it's looking kind of, it's just, you need to find these bits and pieces that
work out for you.
Side definitely good for this opening, and now Rhythm is the one who has a good lead.
with a little bit of the delay.
And we're just really hot. Yeah, I love this.
Yeah, I love the patience from Shoutout too.
If you understand, you can't make a mountain out of a moho.
Take what you can, work on it with the timer.
Knowing that JG found out that that rhythm is going to be moving on on that.
Ooh, what a duck on there.
Don't be getting anything forward here, but we're going to go right into heat fashion.
We're in that wall territory yet again if we get that confirmed we can make things happen more check my chair
We are tracking until we finally get something
All right kids here's a tutorial on how to dash block
That was absolutely necessary the sidesteps were critical, but I mean we're making a great read going for the homing moves over and over again
Push away, little bit of the kickball there, but we're going to go get the guarantee plunge
on there, kill a little bit of time on that E-bar to make it go away, but you know, still
get a little bit of the back things through the nunchucks.
Oh, I'm going to lost by two, oh, that's big.
People leaving their explosive ball all over the place, quite rude on it, but Riddom,
Going to make that happen
Checking all the this up to go against the tech roll away here
Nice I can handle it with a back turn combo on it
The cattle recover is right in time goes in with the low and the follow-up on the rapper's shadow 20d. It's going to take that
Like if you could tell, like Sammy got a little bit of an exploding internet at the very end, that brown town was so good at the very end that Sammy unfortunately had to get back right back in.
We'll get everything all settled right now, but I hear Sammy, you doing okay back there?
You doing okay?
No, I'm dying!
No!
Don't die!
It's supposed to be the opponents who die in here, not us!
We're complicated, we gotta talk!
But that was a good one, I think the second round in there where Shadow20Z went for the
explosion that I near the round in, just to avoid JG Breeze being able to get anything started
on the approach.
We just saw the run-up, do the last bit of rage just in case a button was hit on there,
nothing for it, but maintaining control.
I think I don't even think those were top eight qualifying on loser side.
The.
Oh, it wasn't an old thing.
No, I at the this one wasn't the shadow.
I think, yeah, seeing a shadow versus X is what's actually going to be
what qualifies in the top eight.
Yeah, we got our a couple of their other matches also settled in the loser side,
like on that. But in the meantime, though, we do have
We do have a couple events coming up here that we need to talk about of course for in April level up expo April 24 through 26
2026 you hear all the games including Tekken 8 on this screen here
You see those pot bonus of your 10k for 2x ko alone on there Tekken 8 with the 5k
SF 6 5k smash ultimate with another 10k there. We got some stride
We got the marvel 3 we got the grand blue fantasy versus rising the city of the wolves the uni to hotter hotter
Ultra Street Fighter 4, which we talked about a little bit earlier, so happy to see that on there.
And of course Mortal Kombat 1, all coming down the list, all part of an amazing expo that you could go to in Vegas on there.
You can sign up right now at start.gg, level up 2026.
And like I said earlier, you know it's going to be good because once again, it's in collaboration with T&S on the stream production.
So look forward to that, whether you go to the event online or offline.
But try to be there. Try to be there.
Yeah, everybody who goes to it says they have a really good time so looking forward to looking for a forward to another good one because this is like the
Third fourth one, I don't remember anymore
Time time is an illusion, but I I do think at least for me. I think it's the third one on there
It's gonna be really exciting for Tekken reasons on there because that'll be very close to
Close to the Evo Japan time on that so you can maybe get a little bit of preview for the North American scene
See who goes out to both events and like see who's ready for that there if like if who's been eating their
Their Wheaties per se. Yeah. Yeah
It's made a good point that that's gonna start the month afterwards. So it'll be a good
tune up I would say and especially still valuable in that regard because it has the big price pool, right?
So it's not like you're going for it and like, you know, you'll it's not going for no reason
It's just a tune-up. You know, there's the added bonus of the big price pot
So yeah, I'm looking forward to what that entails the tournament. So it's always pretty good for the love expo
Yeah, but a lot of fun watching those especially last year
I was able to catch them like watch quite a bit of the tournaments on there seemed like a really good time
I'm a fan of those big expose where you have like, you know the tournament and go
So go do something else in between on there.
CEO Talk of 2024 was a lot of fun to me just because I had been to a proper anime convention
in a while and I got to do some, like, commentate some anime games, get half fun, and spend
a little bit too much on 90s anime soundtracks on CD for cheap, which was very dangerous
to my wallet.
But now I have all the .hack soundtracks, so who's winning now?
Anyway, you know who's winning?
We choose winning.
We're winning.
The king versus armor king matchup here. We got soul master in favor of that Jake
I'm gonna running into all the AKs
But means you also be warmed up for what is to come soul. I'm gonna good run today
Let's see if you can keep it going versus jake man
So so it's been a very busy person right now to a god 65th in the last chance qualifier lost to
Wait, did Soul have to fight Vitemo in LCKQ?
What?
Okay, I need to investigate that later.
We got a match going on.
Jake, man, take that with a perfect.
Nature being good.
Just gonna have to run into people who are also good, even if it's from your region.
But let's get the first one.
Jake, man, have to literally get control of that early on.
Heating Gage, your first Soul, who's the one to start off strong in this round,
too.
Back into the wall, finishing off with a really good damage on top of that, does put Jake
into rage and gets a little bit of health thanks to the heat activation on top of that here.
Trying to go in for that Hopkins, no dives.
Try and swing, gets denied into the heat smash with Jake man.
We're going to check it out for a heat smash yourself, but we're getting the sides up
where we're really working, like watching out to see where we're going with these
placement of hits.
Not over just yet, especially with jakeman having revenge, so, oi, alright, this ult told me a thing or two.
Yeah, it's over man, I'm just gonna hit this off kick, tie it up one to one.
Alright, instant tornado from the confirm on there, perfect placement in there just to go ahead and get the wall, like right there.
Try to go in for the, like expecting on the grab, but no dice.
Finish this string there for the oki.
Well, I'll try to bet it but in a good position so not a bad situation bet it King also doesn't get knocked down off that so
Like the idea
That perfect placement on there you're gonna get that wall onto it in a lot of trouble for soul
I'll go slow that time. He's been favoring the homing mid actually out of the Jaguar run mix and that time
Adding a little bit extra to the layers and goes up from around count
Those are for the powercrush on their run up into the throat, but you know we're responding
in kind.
Okay, break them on the shiny wizard.
Alright, cool.
Get good old Yaw for this.
Dock jab, really important there.
We're going in one more time with the giant swing.
This one is going to succeed.
Are we going to tech it?
Yes, we absolutely are here.
So still in it.
Still has Rage available.
But you know what?
The duck from the grab into the Wildstanding 4 is going to make the mark that Jake Man
wants to put that one on their side.
Yeah, early strong start from Jake Man who really stabilized that round three, round
looked really good in that and that especially towards the end they're not
overextending which is what you'd like to see when somebody has that much of a
lead so good stuff already taking the first game want to see what soul can do
in terms of trying to close that gap because there are some good close gap
closing tools that he has larry it's just extremely strong at immediately
from plus frames into your opponent but good God dude can we get like more than
two stages today no no we we look look we got we got it we got sell this building
we got selling you see the condition it is we are putting on Zillow we are
making it happen we got to get this commission going we are we are going
we are going to get so fired we don't get it oh god all right get the pain
over here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, put it go to Home Depot. We'll put a nice little get a nice little
bath set. It's all good. All right, show him where the bathroom is. Yeah, running mix goes for the low,
but immediately this time, unfortunately, put himself on the back. Nice wall splat with the
shoulder doesn't get it all but turns it into good. Okay, what great presence of mind from
Oh 100% there like realizing on the back turns like not going to get the full combo that they want to win in for the
The low option on there afterwards and just like match to get out at the very end. So very very good recovery
Not a good feeling round for Jake man. I don't like those slipping by but
Looking good in this one now trying to fix his mistake from before
Great gonna put him towards the wall
So advantage for soul in the positioning and gets the heating gauge. Oh, we got the miss to guarantee
Oh, I really thought that was gonna hit the wall get the bomb on there
That could have been fantastic for soul, but right now shine get the shining on the one time
You know what this bomb looks better anyway
Try this best and closes out once again
How often does the positioning of a stage change the difference soul knew it there and with the throw break was able to
tie or take up to
Nothing with Jaguar Roar other than a little bit of a little bit of a pretty conditioning there
But we're gonna get pulled out with the 1-2 strength soul
Train just gonna activate
Hot him on the way out. Maybe press the button a little too early
So we'll take advantage of he's looking good the shoulder for the hokey and soul with three straight ties it up
Okay
Yeah, so so running continuing to run hot a little bit doesn't matter like going clear across the globe onto the other side coming back
Just in time for TNS and making a run of it here in this. This is like just the very beginning of top eight Sammy
Yeah, that's crazy
it's
Always happy to be here because it's always great matches and
We'll see
Where this one's gonna go because I felt like Jake me and a lot of really good moments even through round two
You know round one kind of was a bit unfortunate round two was
Little bit more towards soul
but ultimately the
The comeback was made because of the stage positioning and then it was also on that third one
So this is the difference who can make it into our winners final spot
Right and like right now look like Jake man gets a couple good call like I kind of hit the begin
We get the push to shove enough time to activate that heat of the guarantee on there afterwards
And now we're playing a little bit of a different day
We got so much room for activities that we're just happy to with the side step against the punish on there
And we can follow up on the guaranteed heat dash afterwards here
Sub tornado one more touch is what you need
Yeah, kind of first round you need after losing three straight knowing that they're close
But still losing three kind of doesn't feel great, but a solid round here from Jake man
Okay, we're gonna get the pick up off of that here, a little bit off-kilter, but we go ahead
with the Heat Activation, bring down the Thunder one more time.
Oh, tried it!
I mean, I definitely believe, you know, meeting something in that moment.
I like also the Heat Dash, realigning the character for a slightly easier combo and
closes it out on the trade.
We're trying to return the favor with his own three straight Jake Mans almost at
What's that point?
Where is that set point, sorry.
Yeah, Jake Matt definitely did not appreciate on that from Sol being able to get that on him,
but now we're trying to hold it back here.
Sol not seeing the... pushing themselves back further.
Oh, getting close to the wave wall.
If Jake Matt can get this punish on here, it's just going to be even closer to a full wall combo.
Yeah, but Sol's just taking these little hits, getting the mix to go out for him.
Oh, I'm dying. I don't know if that was on purpose, but it looked cool.
Oh no! Counter hit confirmed!
Jigman starting his own offense.
Okay. Yeah.
We have the ratio extra damages
on the table, of course, here.
Here's the heat specialist. Good to check on here.
Could have been big, like,
checking, pressing buttons in here, but it's going to be
the down-forward one from Sol Naciente
making the mark.
Good button to press after
the negative frames from Jaguar Hook.
Just a good read from Sol, trying to see him
if he was stepping out, but Jigman gets
here that's always been pretty important this set so far nothing but
fisticuffs and grabs and here the giant swing into the tech on here get a
little bit of exo push but enough time for Jake man to go ahead and activate
even have it as a whole approach to the game see a lot of raw activations from
Jake man just doesn't feel like he can reasonably get that heating gauge or
to go for him I thought it happened a couple times on there with the shove
like in the guarantee but not flight in this match for in particular
However, this is gonna turn out well on here gonna use that rage to miss on there. Just to get the tech roll to get away
Yeah, slightly off axis wasn't able to connect the one to the down for one
The response back the confidence in that button press and we're gonna need one more to decide the difference
Oh, just like that all the way through here keeping it real
It's nice up on the pro, but we're going to go ahead check it checking for those lows from by Jake
watch that muscle armor trying to catch and close that gap as I mentioned before
AK has some good tools for that but both players making some great reads of one
another
one more bit just checking on a nice break from Jake man dodges all the heat
matches gonna get sold out see if the chance to activate their own it's
gonna be a life he goes in for the myth we saw it once before this time Jake
That was ready with the duck.
Oh, it was so big, and he's in Rage 2's with this one.
It hurts.
Gonna get the ulti.
The soulbot's gonna close it out,
and that is going to be Jake Mann pulling it out of the last second.
Proving it on the winner's files.
That was a wise decision too.
Just to be at 11 to wake up options,
that soul would have had at the moment there,
so was able to turn things around there.
I mean, that was only our...
You would think that these players are tired after Frost of Palestinians, after TWT, after everything in between here, but we got some exciting matches coming to you in this Top 8. I feel it right now.
Yeah, I mean, that's why I said it early on. I was like, I'm really impressed because there's definitely a world where we just go into a lull for now, especially with it.
We're finishing up the Tekken World Tour season. Season 3 is not out just yet, but an out.
So we're kind of waiting for that to some degree.
But there's always room to improve your own game.
And we saw 280 plus people try to make or make that same statement today.
So really like that a lot of people still came out to try their best on this Tuesday.
And we're seeing it in spades because we got some great matches today so far.
Oh, yeah, continuing on the winter side here.
I see King Ray jr. Coming up to the podium to fight against JJ breeze who's going to be joining us shortly as well
Yeah, so this one's tough man
JJ's looking pretty good so far, but like I said King Ray jr. Just has a really good idea of
Rhythm and timing and that's a pretty important concept for laws a character
so I want to see how Jake man. Sorry how JJ breeze gets around that and
And
It'll be tough on them and on top of that you're playing against Oscar who plays around that rhythm a little bit
You know just makes everything a little scarier with sabaki's and parries. So
See how it goes
Yeah, for sure off for sure on this
I I see the chat a little bit talking about like like we are no three of the four characters that were coming in for season
Three we can we know we're getting that a kuni mitzu Bob and the Roger Jr.
Of course with four boxing gloves all set up right there. I'm really looking forward to it's been
I'd like to to really be focused on the game with a Roger Jr involved
I didn't play a lot of tech attack tournament to again like in there, but uh
But I'm excited to see that on there, but we'll get back to the discussion a little bit
We're kind of we kind of go to the resort. We got to see this battle between JJ Breeze and King Ray Jr
We're a big stage, so I'd like to see if JJ Breeze can use that to his advantage.
Try as best to get some sort of advantage and King or Jr. drop the Heapers combo.
We'll return to favor afterwards, but JJ Breeze early leads.
Yeah, but we do get the follow-up to counter, but if they hit with the Naniwa Justo, it
will get almost to the wall, but we're going in for the back 1-1 plus 2 grab on their
afterwards from Asuka.
Now we're just kind of directing it with the full crowd situation into the mid.
He played it parallel all the way to the other side of the wall and JJ Breeze wasn't able to find any sort of reprieve in that round 1.
King Ray Jr is looking good even after the drop.
Try and check with that 4 and 1 plus 2 from King Ray Jr.
No dice on that here, but we're just gonna go in and check it.
Keep on mid range canceling out, just try and see what J-Buck and JJ Breeze is wanting to hit.
time.
That's what the jumpgarden staff tried to get it
but a little too soon and it was always a setup for the Zabaki.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of the like just the Zabaki itself yet.
So no surprise like you said earlier like that
is to be coming up off against his wall.
Nice.
Oh just too short.
We're going to get JJ the opportunity here.
We're covering some life back, but no no didn't get the pot of snow did a good push on the Wildstanding 1-4
nine seconds
Oh, I feel so tough though
Four seconds left. You don't even have time to do that much damage unless you hit a rage art and JJ tried something anything at all
Even still got the block. I don't even think it would have mattered if it hit, but JJ
Tried it here. You know you up and just killed a little bit of time in the end
Here's dragon hammer don't get the first hit but nothing on the back three jj breeze gonna get pushed king ray to the wall here
But we got that back the down back two option is there for the watch from a king right?
Running threes and ender keep it nice and simple stay some aground for a second longer to avoid the o-king
Trying to crank that space now jj breeze keepers
I check with that four four one two here
You're just trying to find anything, everything at all here.
Trying to find out if something with that tracking move is there from King Regener.
But we go in, we have Naniwa Koso on the plate here so you get to follow him, but no!
Oh actually you get a nice little pick up, you know, happy accident after all.
Bro, we still got a combo, that was crazy.
But I mean, free ring circus is really good for that reason.
And I think we're going to see, I mean, nearly two timeouts in a row for King Regener
to close it out.
Like probably could have finished it off if you finished the down back one into two option
on there.
But you know at that point might as well back up finish off the time and and keep things
real.
Yeah, first one looks look pretty there's definitely some moments for JJ Breeze but
I think like he would just give King Ray Jr. just a little bit of space and King Ray
Jr. would find some sort of hit or something like that.
I mean that part I think it's definitely tough is Reyes
It's just so good at exploiting opponents weaknesses
So I don't see if we can
Try to make up the difference here. I'd like to see him maybe try to play for these little leads
I don't mind something like that, but
Chasers gonna have a tall far run ahead of them
All what I know right now King Regenius feel it's pretty good about this win in for the of the like the slight
Unblockable on there afterwards here now trying to find these watches and if that first use home succeed down forward to yet
I get on that you still have a need you don't even need it until you get to the wall here go and bring it down a
One-time
Yeah, okay under there as well from King Ray jr. Just trying to close it out
Because it wasn't gonna kill in the first place J.Breeze used to he first once he gets to the wall and just standing still
Pressing the button at a right time with the rhythm of J.Breeze takes the first one
Yeah, the Oscar miss missile drop like Jack Jack eight fires off the rail gun down like Oscar's like no, I'm I am the real good
The Oscar ICPM
Gets it lost finally something we've been looking for hasn't found a big advantage until now
Into the dragon hammer nothing really for but we were kind of like doing them was checking all the lines of this wall check it for minerals
Oh, back to against the wall, though. Kind of a scary situation, but does the same to him, a well-timed heat and smash to close it out.
That was good to hit on the mid, but you know, that's just a complete time, but waiting for that back four.
Guaranteed counter hit on top of that here. Now we're just looking for that wall, and we've got that perfect timing to get the follow-up into down in one gust of them.
Just trying to create some space for himself there with the Heapers.
You see little steps here and there, committed to Heap Smash a little earlier than expected
for me and King Ray Jr.
Down 2 makes a marquee activation time on here, so you get the guaranteed follow-up on the
with the gusto in play here, we're canceling out into the full crowd scale,
and that's all you need to follow up!
This character makes you feel like you're triple wrong,
but King Ray Jr. does the best.
He's gonna steal all the FAK answers here.
Oh, we're just waiting out for a button here, not trying to press out anything.
Trying to go in for the 3 plus 4 again here.
Doesn't feel like, could have been far worse, actually, in that situation, wasn't right.
I love seeing how Junior changes his adjustments, or how he changes his timings.
Just trying to constantly dash against his opponent now.
Although we got that float on there afterwards here. Nice little combo here.
It's a different input, you know what? We get the deep smash on there, retain all that, and we get the four or two into the gust of follow-up up here, and that's gonna be it for King Ray Jr. to move on into winners' finals.
It's just... I don't know how you take matches on this guy without trying to beat him at his own game.
game and he's so good at his own game so I mean and what I mean by his own game is that he's just so
good at engaging you on his terms he's just so good at understanding your rhythm and then throwing
you something and while you sit there and think about what's the best option for you to answer back
with you it doesn't matter what you answer back with because he's gonna hit you in the startup
yeah no it's 100% he's like looking out and like so good at cycling those options too we were
seen that like later on in there like hadn't even introduced the idea of the full crouch
to on there and the like on the fall waited till the wall had like all the resources in
the fight had I believe he had the gusto for sure on there afterwards had like everything
in like making you think it's like oh I should have been looking out for it but really it
just like just misdirection there you you were looking out for all the other option
that King Regener has been given time and time again that set yeah it's I mean that's
That's what we call layering or that's the term I've developed for it.
I don't know if other people use it, but like layering your options like that and sort of
stacking one decision on top of another as you're making them think about all of these
different things.
You start adding a little bit more and more as you go along through the set and you
definitely a big part of high level fighting games is learning when to slip in that
layer, when to go into the next one.
Yeah.
And time and time again.
I've seen King Ray Jr. really kind of get into the eye and like eye of the opponent and just see where
Where you're not going to be looking at and like where those layers are you like you're you're just waiting for me to surprise at the end
Yeah
So good stuff. That's gonna be Jake man and the King Ray Jr. We're moving on into our winners finals. I
Want to say that was our winners finals and grand finals
three weeks ago.
Oh, okay, okay.
I want to say somebody correct me because I don't have a brain that works well.
But I vaguely remember that, which means it's a 50% chance of being true.
And we'll see if I'm right.
But we'll move on to the next one before that happens.
Yeah, we'll find out on that.
So to give you an idea where we're at in the bracket, we're still running a little bit
lopsided on the loser's side on there.
So we're still deciding on the winner between a couple matches in there.
We do have Shadow20Z versus Swingblitz coming to the stage right now.
I believe our last match into Top 8, it will be NoMar vs Zatch happening right now on
that.
We'll find out who's happening.
Exclamation point bracket, you can follow along at home.
I do see a couple of people putting in the Matarino on there.
We've already claimed all our codes already, so thank you so very much for making it happen.
We've also had a couple people add additional contributions.
We have the full 100 of the Benjamin right there, right in front of us making it happen
there.
So good stuff on there.
In the meantime though, we got ourselves Paul and Zafina coming back.
Shadow20Z on the Zafina, Swingblitz on the Paul.
Okay, just our grand finals, our winners' finals with Hayon Marsden.
The reason why I thought that at all is because I was on the broadcast, so I'm stupid, but
it's okay.
Oh, hey, look at that, nipple!
Yeah, surprise, surprise on that.
We not just Roman Jellie at this.
We were talking about, yeah, Sammy, you were talking about earlier how it just, it's
so rare that we see Paul at this, I mean, what's coming out of the breath reset?
I love the, the, this poking prod style that Paul has.
I, I think it's extremely strong, and pokes are really good in this game.
They don't give white lights, so there's nothing to recover when you get hit like
Oh yeah, that's a really good point on there.
Shadow Twins trying to use the Azazel power in there just to clear a little bit of room away from some of this.
It's really been like I said, playing the poke game from range 1 and 0, but we get the launch!
What a beautiful launch on there for the round for Sphinx.
Yeah, that's a great first round to give you a lot of confidence, but they didn't get the block on edge.
So unfortunate as you was able to have an opportunity to get an early lead and Shadow is the one who takes advantage.
Again, with the post on their follow-up, this time Chatto's going to be getting wise
to it a little bit, get some of the punish on their afterwards here, rage time for Swing.
Yeah, Chatto doesn't need to do much, try to engage on his own terms to finally close
out, but otherwise playing pretty low-risk there.
Check it with those mids, one more time, three, four, no, just a third, that's
a little bit of tracking on that on the whole mean afterwards shadows when he's
gonna get the knockdown trade make it one round for one round yeah I think there
was an opportunity there for sure swing is recovering some health by just
getting these little hits but shadow nice close out and we're already going
down the floor
oh yeah we get that guarantee confirm on there gets a little bit of health for
the trouble to but you can also a little on there with just the follow
just to try to keep up the pressure.
I try to shoot him.
He dashed in towards the wall, but Shadow already creating that space.
Nice daft or sidestep block once again.
Shadow block is, it's been so hard to catch Shadow on the sidestep despite using homing moves.
Checking with the elbow one more time here.
Die.
Be a little sweet.
Let's be very linear right now.
Shadow's going to be wise to go ahead with the sidestep on there.
Trying to get that wall position as we're going, and we're backing away from the elbow yet again.
He's a good point there, Rasky.
Just realigning for that wall is so important.
Shadow makes it a critical point in his movement and his gameplay.
The flow's on your three seconds left.
Your Shadow has the lead.
Oh!
You did not do yourself any favors by choosing and moving the chips yourself.
If it hit, it would have won.
My job dropped.
My job was, Shadow had the lead there.
He just wanted to finish off the place there, but was better just leaving it for like this where the trash can.
Oh, heating gates are swaying.
Within' a full shotgun right in front of his face, Shadow Unfazed.
They get away from the wall, you can keep smash on that very top.
Like very expensive resource on that.
It's gonna be enough time for Shadow Toys to get the confirmed that they need and a follow-up guarantee.
Yeah, it's just, once again going back to that poke game, finding that advantage, what
a whip punish on the 444, it's definitely been a key point in Shadow's movement in
this mid-range, but what a whip punish man, that was sick.
Reminding me how small this particular part of the stage is. We're just with that head
Wait a minute
Works out for shadows able to close it out takes the first game
I'm just like the good change up into the sense. We're seeing a lot more scared pro
A lot more lows coming out and the play in this match between Paul
Yeah, I mean
It's looking good so far, but definitely both players are are making it hard for one another the
Space play between the both of what it's like margins
That are so small to work with because they're just like not giving they're playing in a space
It's really hard to with punish. So the
And they're using tools that lean into that space and then pull back out like 444 on Zafina
So it's like what do you do other than like hard focus on this and then try to time it right?
I mean there isn't much else, but it can get really hard to do that yeah as we go into I
Like I don't think like we haven't seen the stage very much
I did that all in this tournament. I may be missed mess remembering here
But longer stage here may be working out in the like in the favor of swing here. Here we go
I was thinking about the final round of the stage
Freaking rips. Oh, yeah, I love this edge
Nice.
Then these little pokes, adding up a tool a lot, and I'll ask you Shadow to get aggressive
and find the heating gager that's big.
Nice.
Kiss the tornado here.
Gonna try to attack on as much damage as possible.
Doesn't find the ender after the heat dash.
trying to stabilize the moment with his onhe dash.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh, to the throw! No way!
With that rage damage, it's enough to close out the round.
The patience from Swingblast to take the moment perfectly.
Nice.
Catches them trying to step back out.
Pretty even all things considered.
Pretty even all things considered.
Aw, but definitely the split now.
Heat Engager first for Shadow.
again trying to make up the difference nice interrupt that time still has heat
to work with the recover more great life that was so scary he that's early on
plus five trying to find a good god how good a shadows defense
this guy is so good how do you find a moment to get it on him oh just like
Okay, tied up one to one again here. We're going to wow but to trade in the favor of shadow 20z at the last moment hit first
Well nothing on the thruster got away with it kind of
Here we go on it, but we get the little slight side step into the confirmed but with a key one more time in there
Finish with some string, closes the gap really well there, like that from Shadow.
Use the heat dash to make sure we don't fall into the space trap.
Keep that lead.
Dude, what the hell?
Why?
Why?
Why'd you get a Shadow Dive?
What is this?
Oh, alright, it's time, dude.
What the hell?
What the hell?
What?
Shadow die!
What is this?
Alright, it's time dude.
This track is so sick.
Although I have the sun in the setting on here.
One more time here.
Going for the mid option on the crawl.
Nice.
How does he want to end this though, because he's going to need one more hit after.
Oh my god, does he not?
No, it scales down.
Alright, good, good, good. I thought the scaling would, that scared me though, that combo was so sick.
That's the advantage that's still in it with the perfect out, like, after all of that too.
So we're all in there, we're trying to check in.
Taylor, here comes the low, one more time, waiting for it, goes in for the high.
Guarantee, he afterwards here, now has a, has a good advantage. You know what's so, heat for heat.
turns the favor. Oh, the 4-1 plus 4. Oh, Scoop! Takes him off the 4 with the 4-nado.
He's gonna get a great lead, Swingblitz is trying to keep himself alive.
Trying, but it's like so far Shadow's trying to turn on that clock a little bit more here.
One more around the tracking, another side step, doesn't finish the string, but does get a little proble.
Shadow after that, he pretty much ties up the health difference.
only ones in rage the trade the crumple is in shadows favor and close out with the
rage art shadows gonna be able to take it two to zero and move on
continuing on at the very end the crumple into that was all oh that was so
close it was literally the difference of the difference of properties on trade
but that's yeah like I said that's the reason that's the margin that we're
playing at but that was that was a good set for a 2-0 man that was awesome yeah
no shout out to the swing blitz I had a had no small feat of going through a
lot of honestly a lot of people that we saw earlier on stream at that so I'm
gonna try to I'm gonna take a quick look before we before we get ahead to
fight against Josiah by Tark the Turk, like Fisher Boat, all were on stream a little bit
earlier here.
That was a loser side by the way.
That was already after they had been sent down to the loser side of the bracket.
Yeah, they got sent to losers.
Oh my god.
Did you start the game?
Did you try to Jon Shoei this?
What the hell?
Yeah.
Where are you?
There you are, okay.
Okay, yeah.
The big bracket.
Once again.
It's a huge bracket.
Round two to Fee.
And that definitely happens to the best of us.
Yeah, yeah.
Damn, man.
How many, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Let me click on, let me click on your...
Yeah, let's...
You played...
You played...
You played 12 games.
Oh my god.
Oh, had it too.
Damn.
You played 12 games and still made it into set.
That's a marathon, that's a marathon right there, good, good stuff there.
Oh my god.
Can I cannot, I feel like I run out of gas after like three games at that, like I'm starting
like missing, but Swing Blitz still looks like they were on fire all the way to that
point, even though it was 0-2.
Oh dude, I'm telling you, it's like the, it's so important for you to build up this
endurance if you're a tournament player, that's a reason I usually never remember
to bring up but it is good to bring up now like to it's mentally taxing in a physical
way to play in brackets for this long because you're constantly running your brain ragging
trying to make good decisions trying to constantly make these improvements on your play and then
you're just constantly doing that until you find that break somewhere so it's like
like every game just taxes on a little bit more.
And that's why a lot of the times when you see like,
let's say for example, randomly this crazy run from a player
and they like, you never expect them to go this far.
They get top eight.
You're like, wow, this is amazing.
And then they bought them out as soon as they get.
It's because dude, they spent this whole time
blowing their brain out,
trying to get to that spot in the first place.
But when you see guys like King Ray Jr. and Jake Mann,
especially with me top three so very consistently in defense, they have that mental, they have
that mental fortitude that takes them through that bracket long enough, and they're just
able to not worry and play with God, what's the word I'm thinking of help me out here.
Like play with the like just like just like stamina, just stamina, thank you just having
the mental stamina to like run a tournament or run into a tournament that long that stamina
just like running it needs to build be built up over time.
Yeah, I mean that's why you go out to these events that's why you play these online brackets
that's why you you try to build up that knowledge because it's not if you're okay online rank
let's be honest it is a sort of different stamina but it's it's that's a spiral of
the stamina there like you are going to be drained at the end of that I don't suggest
going to rank to build that stamina there. That's how you build anger.
That build and stamina is you enter a CNS practice. That's the best place to work.
100% that is exactly what I'm saying. You go through the offline, you go through the online,
you get into Winner's Finals of Top A here. Key Raging here versus Dr. The Jake Man MDs.
It's going to be another banger. Like I said, our grand finals from three weeks ago,
now our Winner's Finals. That was a banger.
You try to cancel, I challenge that with a 4-2, nothing 4 here. Both players are in a rage here, 30 seconds left here.
Been pretty quick on to trying to find those opportunities here, blocking on the mid from a King Rage Ranger.
So that little minor lead, that's all Jake Man's giving him.
And he's not staying close enough not to let him randomly heat engage.
Oh ho ho ho ho!
When you...
That's all it takes.
Right timing.
Now did that the end they're going to get the first mark on King Regen, your side here
But we're back in the middle of this this octagon trying to make it work here a little bit of a like a poke with the one three
Nice just below
Change up on the position in here push the shove on there gets a confirmed into the wall spot. This is big for Jake man
Yeah
3, 2, 2, run mix.
It's gonna go for that drop, it's quite a big, unfortunately put his butt on the wall.
That's not what you want after going for Oki yourself, but the gods decree it so.
And that means King Ray Jr. up too.
Well that is unfortunate on that King Ray Jr.
But you know what, try to complete the string that's down back 1, 2 on there,
Jake man calls out the high afterwards and it's gonna be well rewarded for it.
Boom, boom, boom.
3-2-2 Vixx, once again goes for the mid this time. Nice float out of the air with the tab.
Balanced to stabilize the combo as well.
Alright, and actually still was able to get the up 1 plus 2 on there after the little bit off axis there.
Nice, didn't over send on that combo, kind of a weird air hit off the hop knee.
Still has a good lead here, both players have expended their heat.
Oh, that's a big chunk of damage in there, but I'll say, you guys, I want the firm on
there afterwards.
Jake just goes all in.
I was like, I don't know what this move does outside of me.
Yeah, when you don't have it as a heating game, dude, I was like, dancing, dizzy,
for hell of a long.
That's crazy.
I expected early wake up on there, nothing for a game, you just stays on the ground
there it's the cost left from the sidewall we're back into the middle help
oh yeah we are we're in the tornado the Oscar tornado the F1 F5 however turning
work slow slide from hell try to go for the
exploder next to very good answer for when King's on the floor oh King Reduce
try to go for the down for two didn't get anything for there but the no
follow-up for Jake man. A lot of the girl characters are a little bit smaller so
that combo is a little bit harder on them but that was a good close-out with a nice
safe mid poke there. Jake man now ties it up. Even a plus, well we challenge it off
with the back four in their big counter hit. We're gonna hold it down until we
get to the wall. Doesn't get anything on the ball just a little bit too late
on that but goes Jake man get out. Well I was gonna say about to get out of the wall but not very long.
He right now has words to say about that
Chance though backs against the wall and runs into the heat smash
Unfortunately, and King Regenior will take the first one
That's that's a hell of a way to begin our first first the three of the evening
That's a oh also by the way, I saw somebody say it in chat. No, that's not
That's not a rainmaker because a rainmaker needs the ripcord
He just kind of pulls you off and kind of just like clothesline to you
I think it's it's I think it's a if you want to be super accurate on the wrestling terms
It's closer to the larry it than it is a clothesline from hell, but
They're pretty close
So I do miss the rain maker though
there we're back at this stage Sammy we keep coming back here he keeps happening
better get at it like I said we got to sell this place we got to work out it
we got to get the commission I don't think that's gonna bust out I'm sorry
no no Jake man Jake man's causing a wreck happening here like we're all about the
wires into the wall splat on their afterwords here, significant damage to him, a re-splat
on top! Okay, Jekyll, I see you!
Doesn't go for the run a second time, just keep it simple with the down-forged one, and
King Ray Jr. tried to turn it around there and nice little snap to the right, that was
awesome for the big man.
Micro-Sets working out big favors.
I did a little bit more of a poking game for King Ray Jr. I stuck on the homie
move from uh from oscar
hit him out of the air nice pickup not gonna be a lot of damage though you'll
get the wall positioning oh yeah but yeah if you not only that you have
enough time to activate you have that resource on deck just for anything
possible on their afterwards not if king ranger had decided to activate on
their own as well yeah try to recover of that
gray life i don't think he's gonna get the chance unfortunately
Yeah, that's the close-out from Jake Man. Nice answer and going up to his time.
Got a smaller stage working out very well for Jake Man on here,
so we're gonna go ahead and finish free.
The block on the down 1 plus 2, I think that's the first one this evening.
Nice once again, back to the wall.
3, 2, 2, run mix.
Goes low this time. That's been working out more often than not.
That's Gusto, putting a head kill with the OTG on there afterwards here, can't activate
it, and a beautiful double-sized step on there.
You have the back turn combo, doesn't matter, you realign it with the heat dash on there.
Not gonna have to kill, but you know what?
You catch it and try to escape the room.
Oh, that was great, Okie there.
Catching and rolling right.
Oh, nice confirm, though, from Jake Man.
Trying to get to the wall with a little bit of a weird op-axis doesn't have a lot of tools to help that combo along.
Besides stepping to the right away from the down floor, we want from Team Rageadier here.
We're trying to go for the breath while we get to the back.
Yeah, once again gonna push through the wall. Choose to activate here.
Try to get himself a couple more options and hopefully he closes it out.
Nice low parry, put him face down.
And we're going into that 1-3 again, but call that both times by Jake Man, and that's
going to be tying up 1-1 now.
Damn!
That was a good game from Jake Man.
Couple of good oaky sequences, but just made it really hard to find that early lead.
I mean, you would find these pokes early on, and then you would back up into space
and try to get King Ray to run in.
King Ray, you know, found a couple of good hits, but nothing that led him to what I think gave
Jake Mann the bulk of the advantage in that game too, so just play that really well.
You might be right, the smaller stage might have helped him out.
Yeah, I think smaller stage, a lot more defensive, a lot more invasiveness in there.
We saw from like the micro side step on there, we saw from the lows on there,
we could be calling out the low parry just like that, I get 3 for 3 all of a sudden here.
in here. Jackman is definitely sensing something.
Does it go for red mix this time? Feels like it's a little earlier just mixing up the, mixing
up the okie situation all together. Oh, can't can't!
Yeah, escape from the dance one more time here. You're not going to get the wall in
here, but you get set up on there afterwards here with the full, the full stand up. We're
going to go with the one plus two and we get that side step yet again from Jackman
I'm going to get the launch.
Oh, late wall splat, but oh no, the break.
The wall action from the top rope just whiffs.
Yeah, smart move just to go in for the, like, just on the ground damage there,
just with the 4-3, uh, 4-3 rather.
Oh, no punish.
Nice attack ends.
Oh my god, he pressed again!
Counter hit for the win.
Yeah just take the combos for as long as you can. Man I can't three turns in a row
he stole the third one's what took it. Yeah like keep on testing the waters keep
on testing the key. I mentioned before man that wall positioning is not
important. He wasn't on the balcony he doesn't lose there. But we're on the
reside walking away here turning the things around it's my wall mom said
I could use it. Oh, it didn't get the punishing time, but had the duck. Losening 3 is one of
the slower launches from crouching in the game. It goes in, gets DDT. There we go, like dropped
to close it out. Everything's tied up now. Back at a very familiar sign that we've seen
Time to time again in this winners finals one round for one round each year. I'm gonna get the lead here for Jake Manbo
We get the float by King Ray jr
See yeah, it just goes for carry on that one. I like it nice break really important break for King Ray jr
I've been really cognizant of windows like those in Giants we should be coming on here
But again, we're just going in get the shiny wizard for the break
And we just go in good response into the Jaguar roar that Jake man has been going through time to time again
Not just in this dns, but often
Counter it once again, and that's gonna be the close-out
They had king grade junior with great reads on the throw first one to avoid the wall splat and the second one because jake man started to mix it up
Ready go for the two grab in here. No dice, but we do get the cover. Oh doesn't get the pickup
Nice geeting danger
Check it both of those ankles on there causing massive damage
I got just a regular two throw, just what's necessary to take the wall position.
I'm gonna lock down on there, but this one's shiny with his gun, making some mark on here.
He reges, stays on the ground, trying to complete the three existence points, back the
three into the counter hit, nothing on the third one.
Oh, we got the wall splat forklift certified, off to Kazama!
Oh my god, kills off the wall for an even better combo too.
to get the robics but gets the Jaguar hammer for their troubles. We're tied up once again
but here's the break point.
That's a fair answer but someone's got to get ahead at some point here.
Oh my god. What are you doing guys? Play the game?
Oh dear, they're...
Oh my, my strings down!
...the tension, the system.
Where are you going?
Oh, here we go, head. You have to turn in the air, time to go all the way to
The wall gets a blow-up on here.
Yeah, a lot of scaling on that combo, so hard to decide what's the best option there.
Duck got the hit though too.
King Ray Jr. with the advantage.
Oh, look at that try to go in for a 4 to a 1 in there.
He's fast forwarded the trouble in there, but you know what, the giant swing?
Are we getting a wall?
Are we close up?
No, we're not, but we got the tech from King Ray.
Oh, he's mixing up his throws really well now.
Oh, the catch on the Jaguar hop!
Oh my god.
Oh, he hit him on the way down! That saved his life!
Oh, oh my god.
Here, here, Betty. Come on, do something.
Brakes on it. Five seconds left. Nice block all below.
Not enough to get the wall, but goes in for the bid option
after we're here knocked down.
Keeper, huge, takes the lead.
Oh my god. Oh my god.
Oh, the margins, man. The margins.
Oh, that break was so important,
because he was so... We go for, I think it was round one
I don't want to round two where he gets that giant swing break, right?
And it's because it's backs against the wall that he goes for the giant swing.
He wants to switch up the situation.
King Ray Jr. reads it really well.
So he goes to the mix on the mix and he tries to go for the Shining Wizard next
time.
King Ray Jr. makes a great read.
He breaks it 12.
And then he just plays off of that.
Three throws in a row and it works every single time.
He's facing the wall instead of it's backs against the wall.
He goes for giant swing and it works out.
And then he does it again.
He tries to mix on, mix and go for the knee with his backs against the wall and King Red
Junior breaks it, saves his life, and he takes the game for it.
Yeah, what a play on there, just at the very end here.
I cannot believe what we're seeing here, Reraq.
I wanna chat, how are you feeling right now?
Are we gonna go all the way?
Are we gonna see a game five here?
The potential is real, even trading Blow for Blow on this right now, Jake is taking
the lead in this round, but how long?
I mean, I'm so cowboy myself, so I'm gonna be rooting for the Jake Man just a little bit more, but I'm most obviously always rooting for a little bit of good Tekken's here.
We're seeing a lot of it right now.
Alright, checking on it. We're seeing a lot of usage of the, uh, like the 4 and 1, like 1, 2 option on there, but that cancass also a very good option on here.
We're gonna get that wall for sure into the tornado we go.
Oh
On the back though face black
Conversion oh the color like the
Composite competency to go in for that option on there afterwards and get the follow-up on air Jake has to feel good after that round
Dude faceplats are some of the weirdest combos you can hit in this game
You convert that into anything and I applaud you. They're so hard to deal with one hundred percent on there
Nothing on the cancass in there, we're gonna break some ankles. Check him out here, but
you know what? Check out this back four here. I hear it's pretty good this time of year on
the beach.
Oh, I mean this guy's got the best back four in the world. Like he eats a sense of better
than every other Oscar player and there's a lot of good ones.
Oh yeah, one on our own. This is on that, but we got that duck on the while standing
one more option on there. You just, you still have access to the heat too,
Jake you know that doesn't mean anything versus this guy king ray jr.
fights the inner strength the first big launch
get the tornado in here just like that semi you are exactly right here we have
to meet dash into the gear this should kill with the four three plus four
a perfect it's not over till it's over with this guy
There's not a moment I'll count King Ray Jr. out.
And we get the wall standing 1 plus 2 option in there from King Ray, so we're going to go all the way to the wall here.
Gets a little bit off kilter, makes a base 2 of that, and we're going to try and get into the 4th reset-up.
Oh, very nice, Hot Knee.
Well timed as King Ray Jr. is trying to scoot away from the wall, but now take me in with an advantage.
He just goes for the guaranteed damage on here.
Put themselves up against the wall here, but try to remember that we tried to win it.
Ho ho ho ho!
I can't believe you broke Shady Wizard there!
Ugh.
Oh, there's trying to go on the follow up on here. Uses the gusto.
Of course he's- I didn't only take a giant swing, nice!
Like, let's make it to wall on their ass!
Ah!
Abbage!
Just add that symphony tip of that!
Oh dude, we made a full circle.
We're back to Layer 1.
Bad Giant Swing when you're back against the wall and it was the perfect space.
Sometimes you have a 5-layer burrito and it's so good you have to go get another one, start
that Layer 1 yet again.
It's an eternal loop, eternal Taco Bell loop right there.
Oh my god, I mean he just broke on the second layer too many times so it's a good
reach from Jake Man.
finally pulling it back. And it seems like at least for the moment that King Ray's adjusting
second on throws, or at least I guess I should say incorrect. He adjusted first because he
broke the first Giant Swing. But that mind game is becoming so important right now.
Yeah, no, absolutely. We're seeing a lot of like getting a switch over like on that.
We're checking out with a lot of the pokes in there. We're returning back to that
poke game a little bit from King Ray Jr. as we're going. And we're probably going
to see a little bit more of that because we have no walls to worry about here. Yaka
Hashima here it's not gonna be peaceful for very long.
So yeah you lose the benefit of having the Giant swing onto the wall but King has really
consistent Oki because he has that running throw ender and that means you know how the
Oki situation works every single time no variable timing you can run at the same time
same way every single time.
That is being 2-2 all the way we go in for the down 2 option hasn't been represented
and then a whole lot on there, so I get rewarded with that.
Nice, again, blocks it down one plus.
Ew, this is gonna be, oh, that would've been big.
That would've been absolutely big.
Oh, that would've been a really cool way
to try to mitigate the damage,
but the difference, I should say,
but guess this pickup, Enrage 2,
so this is gonna do a little extra damage.
This is what I'm talking about.
This situation's the same.
Every single time gets it to hit,
and it's going to be enough.
Nice comeback from the jake man who takes the lead back.
Right back at it, answer for answer.
Maybe going this is actually gets the pick up from that's not quite magic four anymore, but magic enough.
Key Engager.
Now that's a real mix, right? Either one just can be just as important on this stage.
Break's off, it looks like the Jaguar roar from Big Red, but we're just gonna go for it again.
Just checking out to stop the approach of King Red.
You're crazy.
Oh my god.
We got away with it.
The trade.
Oh, it immediately goes into the heat smash.
We're pretty tight up.
Ah, Jag Red with the long distance calling plan on that heat smash.
Making it work on here.
King Red has 91 Gusto, but we haven't happened to this chain grab, one.
Relation 2.
We're trying to check out the third one?
No, we're going to break it.
Oh, into the giant swing.
This takes off so much time in the clock too.
Yeah, three seconds.
And he's trying to reach out.
No, he's trying to stop talking to...
Yeah, he's talking to me now.
Oh, that's great.
I can't believe you input and throw on a run in.
That's insane.
The second hit.
So, we're going to go ahead and get the combo.
We see that time and time again from Dr. The Jake Man.
Jake man, so here comes the heat one more time, finish it off!
That combo's not easy, folks. That combo's not easy at all, but he's hitting them.
We've been playing this character a long time, it's showing.
Big break. Plus frames.
He needs to simple the down one, that forward one.
I like using the evasion on down back one to finish it off and get away from something that Jake has been going for right now.
oof
It's a lead with the heat smash there the hopney
Oh and time to play what is for lunch what is for breakfast here on the setup King Ray Junior has raised with seven seconds left there
WHAA! WHAA! WHAA! WHAA!
No way this guy times the perfect inner strength
Oh, he's crazy. Oh my god that yeah, that that that's enough
That's all my I went King Ray Junior. I wish I had that timing when I would I do that every time I do that move
I get spotted for it so help done
She's so good. He's so good. Oh
God oh that's Jake man. It's pretty good to he's been hitting those counter. It confirms pretty consistently
The dash in there we're trying to check it out with the range one here one more time breaking the manacles
Oh my god.
So far away though, nothing on the downpour tube.
We're going in for the mid.
The mid is heading.
We're going to return back to that 4-1 string a little bit on there, but we'll get the approach from Jakeman.
Actually, Activator's fine for the hit, but it's just a hit.
Doesn't lead to that much plus frames.
Jakeman still has a good health lead and the resource lead when he pops heat in there.
Oh my god.
Yeah, you want to tie mids properly?
I can do that too.
All the signs up to get a backdoor combo cancels out just in time. Good night duck on the low
This time the down one plus two is 89 seconds left and we're
We're going for the charge
Yeah, okay. Yeah, I
What why did we get it? Okay, it didn't matter. Oh good
Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm so stressed out
Oh, the inner screams and the outer screams are one of the same.
Oh, my God.
Oh, with all the dis-
Dr. Jake Mantake, that two grand finals over King Ray Jr.
What?
Sammy, Sammy, Sammy.
I'm OK.
So let's tell you a little bit.
So I got to do Exert Top 8 at Frosty.
It was great.
It was wonderful.
I had my watch on, my smart watch on.
And it was thinking I was going for a workout during that during winners finals and I feel the same amount of heartbeats
Then as I do now
I was too much man, that was too much
Well, I you know what I got some good news and bad news if you if you need a if you need a
Like oh like that time on your workout you need those extra calories burned on there that may potentially happen again, Sammy
It might potentially happen again. It's very likely the King Ray Jr. is gonna make it into Grand Finals from Loser's side
But we're gonna have to see who meets him there. So we're our losers semi-finals. We're gonna have soul nasiente
versus JJ Breeze
Yeah, so like what yeah soul beat shadow two to one was that the run back?
I'm trying to remember that that was the run back actually on there
So two times soul beat shadow in the TNS bracket. Wow
That's pretty good. That's pretty good, but I'm a big fan of Sol as a player. I think he's
super duper good, but definitely another test for him with JJ Breeze up next.
He's been playing out of his mind on this, like really good shout out to Mike on that.
I know he's been putting in a lot of work, especially in the Kahnameh clashes,
that's happening on there. So, it's been kind of showing on here. So, yeah, I'm a little
Curious to see how he's going to be dealing with this with JJ Breeze's law coming up. Yeah
Definitely can be a tough one. I feel like JJ Breeze is really
He can definitely
Understand people's tendencies pretty quickly and he tends to move around really well
so like
We'll see if that even comes into play because obviously dirt versus the kings you have to worry about your stage positioning quite a bit, right?
but
Yeah, um, yeah, I'm looking forward to that one there's one person in chat
It was like I think Jake man seems like a nice guy in person
He is so nice dude. Yes, what is that? He is then so he's a so Cal is a so Cal boy like me
I get to play him in brackets sometimes some locals and like he is
He gives you like when you talk to him about games he gives you this like very
easy way to understand where his mental state is and where you need to go like every time
I talk to him I can bring him up moments and he'll be like yeah like he's not gonna he's
not going to over complicate things he'll just he'll actually break it down in a way
that seems very efficient for tournament which is like I just thought I can out like I can
outnumber you like I just if I get more interactions than you do than I win the game like you'll
say things like that rather than being like oh you know like I thought this this this
would happen I thought I'd be plus here and run these all these situations he runs this
like game plan in his head that's so malleable to every game that he could possibly play
because it's not about it's not entirely about plus frames and knowing matchups it's
more about how he can play against the opponent better than he can play against you.
Yeah for sure on that. I'm going to be curious to see how we look at this point here. We got
the Armor King now coming up here from Solna Ciente versus JJ Breeze on the Law as we
go back to Elise, Air, B and B to make some damage adjustments here. Maybe not get a
refund on that clean build.
plus frags in spades just trying to find that moment so it stays patient throughout most of it though
all right we're checking on on the follow-up here a little bit of a push on here just a far
enough away to make sure we go into heat but you know what eat for heat with straight blows
into the launch by jgbreed yeah i think it's gonna need a little bit more yeah just quite
didn't get to the wall. He's massed. Take some plus frame for some mix. Yeah, keeps it simple.
Nice, the little bit of the late mid there in JJ Breeze. Takes the first one.
Guard, check in with these lows one more time into the fall. Finishes out the string to get
that wall advantage on here, but here we go with the sweep into the full combo. Here we go.
What? Pulled him towards. Oh, rolled away from it, actually. I was gonna say,
They're trying to go for that positioning on the throw under, but soul chain throw, breaks it on the second one.
Yeah, enough time on there to get the follow-up on the nunchucks on their afterwards.
Doesn't quite get the wall by having to check it out.
Just stabbing one of those pokes head out.
Side step two.
And doesn't get anything afterwards.
Dragonator counter hit.
JJ Breeze.
Looking for the closing.
Might be the kryptonite against Sol Naciente, but we got the giant swing on there, not quite to the wall.
Trying to get the approach, I actually expected Sol to start approaching a little bit early.
We're trying to get the jump on up a Sol state, a state sill.
Nice punish.
The breakable's behind him too, though it's a hard wall, so we're gonna have to need two hits for it.
Oh, gets the follow up on there, let's set a little bit of a flame on here one more time.
Yeah, go finish the job here, get the first round on soul side.
Yeah, definitely the round you need, even if it doesn't mean you win this round, the
game specifically, getting a little bit more information out of the game will be good.
Try to swing, you get too close to the potentially breakable class on here afterwards.
He stays on the ground for a second longer, trying to avoid the...
Okie, JJ Breeze has been going for that Dragor Hammer.
Quite a bit, nice whiff punish with the Dark Copper.
Yeah, we've got a great timing on that.
Like being the push forward, you're going to go all the way to the wall.
Just makes you absolutely certain with the feet afterwards on here.
And the puts on the missed afterwards guaranteed on the Shiny Wizards.
High up the round count.
You didn't even need to do all that.
Demi-throw would have done because it's guaranteed, but just showing off for the fans.
Yeah, if you got to show off to the crowd, you got to work it.
Float? Nice.
Gets to pick up.
Once again, this is hard breakable, so there need to be one more.
Wake up with the floor option.
Try to go in for the mid.
Just a little bit too far away.
J.J. for Grease.
Pound an opportunity to go ahead and get that heat going.
Oh, goes for the mix instead of the stops there,
but we break from J.J. Grease.
Guarantee follow up with the non-chucks.
Oh no.
The blender.
All of that blunder is fixing. It's fixing pretty good right now here.
You're going to have a complete shake by the end of it as J.J. Breeze goes up 1.
I would love to see us still on how close Armour King was to hitting lob because that was perfect spacing for J.J. Breeze.
And the beauty of having that 1 plus 2 is that it's such a nice whiff punisher.
You don't have to input a direction. Just, bam, hit the 1 plus 2 and it's a whiff punish.
Yeah, and if you have the macro set you don't even have to hit two buttons. You just got the one
Yeah, if you're a pad player, then that's probably a thing right I personally as a stick player
I don't like more than I don't I never play one more six buttons
So I will I and I have my and I have a heat macro
So I usually don't bother with the other ones. I did play with
I did play with button binds in seven though, and it is really nice for that
I will not I will not lie, but I refuse to play with more than six buttons
So I just didn't have them all together. Yeah entirely fair on that
It is kind of nice on occasion especially when you have when you have the two three and one four on the options
If you just need like that like you said activating heat on there for it's a perfect example, but
But we're going to go in this is the first
Is this the first time we've seen descended the subconscious all evening usually we see the stage of billion times on here. I
I am trying to decide on whether we saw it here or I saw it in in Tekken World 4 top 8 and I'm
complaining to because I watched that like seven hours ago or something but I'm going to say this is
the first time okay and it is one of my favorite stages in the game so I'm happy. Yeah get the
go-ahead with it try to go for the crossgrab and go to get punished for that with the
or without the launch in here for JGP doesn't get the follow-up but you know still have
access to the 1 plus 2. Brace with the 1 and he does have the heat smash trying to
go for it hit him on the ground so it's not gonna do a lot of damage but the wake
up wall standing 4 closes it out. Beautiful block just go ahead and get a simple little
punish here. We're gonna get the fall up or the side step away. Oh this movement
so just to get away. Yeah that's the the fear of using highs on back turn
is that if you don't get it in time then they can turn around crouching and avoid it all together.
So next to the wall here it could be like anything to do with them sitting on this,
but now the floor is petobismal here. We're going to try to go for again, no dice.
Yeah, I tried to get that, take advantage of the floor, but
gonna get to use it for the next round if necessary. So up two.
try to be loud a button on there just like get the sights of a way get the
punishment there from JJ Breeze here potential to go ahead and break down the
wall here afterwards they're gonna save it all for a little bit plus frames
keep it going goes for the Perry this time
Oh, no way the big flip.
We are gymnastics right now.
Might as well go for it.
I read the read and worked out right there.
Backstrip, okay.
Ow.
Break it, break it, that looks like it hurts.
I love his animations, they're so fight-win.
I'll try to go in for the low yet again here, so I'll just get your breeze like not.
I don't want any part of that here, but we're going to go block on the kind with the wall standing for,
with a follow-up on their aphorist's soul is going to tie up the round count.
The match count, rather.
One to one now.
And yeah, that looked really good.
I mean, generally speaking, the...
You mentioned this before, I think, with...
I don't remember which which
Which um king match we had I think it was maybe one of the losers winners finals matches we had with um
In that long set with King Ray jr. And Jake man, but uh small stages tend to benefit the Kings
They don't have well a king more than a k
but it does help a cake quite a bit if he doesn't get his perfect starter as
as they don't really have good wall carry, all things considered.
A lot of characters have better wall carry than them.
So the smaller stages definitely help them out, and not only on the aspect of their combos,
but obviously also their furrows too.
So taking advantage of the smallest stage in the game there,
and now we're going to a slightly bigger one.
They're hanging out on the yacht here in a beautiful potty.
Check it out with these loads, one more time, they're adding up, trying to go forward again,
it's almost this time, we're ready for it, and we're gonna go all the way to the wall
to get all our resources, that's one fell swoop.
3-4-1 for Nender, that was the new wall damage Nender that he got in Tekken 8, but wasn't
able to keep the Oki up afterwards, JJ Freeze pulls it back.
Check it out here working a little bit closer to that wall here one more time with the duck
jet gets the denial on JB Jbreese.
Nice, that downflank work creating some space to work with and got the heat engager.
Check it in, the days finally gets a mark on their afterwards here, going to be enough
to get to us now on this set here, JB Jbreese trying to take that lead.
Yeah, I mean just couldn't find that opening and had to do some sort of risk on that string and that was a good option there for JJ.
There's a homing on there, but big boot, DOS boot coming into play here, Giant Swing gets the 9, but you know what?
Hey, the first 3-dome to see you are taking a ride on this gift ticket!
Oh
E
Whips that and gets a big punish for his troubles stuff them in the dirt
That's just the wake up option a little bit early didn't get anything for it
But it's gonna be he smashed going to come along trouble. That's all you need at that part there three the no round bounce breath
You need to know around brown the NRB. I'll try to do two things at the same time not JJ
Breeze though up to matches so far
Yeah, look good there
Couple of opportunities for Sol, but he wasn't able to really close it up and
Jhares is able to take advantage in for the most part
You really feel like that Sol had some good moments there, but obviously like things like that spring kick
Saved his butt, Porsi in there put it in the corner and just found a clutch move
So but this is what happened last time the adjustment came in the game afterwards and we'll see if Sol can do that again
Yeah, we definitely saw Sol trying to get in there with like some of the grabs with the giant swing on there
Trying to stay on the ground for a little bit of extra time in there expecting some of the wake-up options from
From the oaky options in there from JJ Breeze
So we're starting to see some patterns on there, but it may have been a very costly
That was a that was I won't say a quick three rounds on there because we definitely spent our time trying to adjust and learn
Where are we going to go though? That's the question
Yeah, I'm not sure because I feel like a lot of the times we're sitting in neutral
I I feel like that JJ has the advantage for the most part
He feels like he's a little bit more comfortable in those positions, but souls had some good oki
Hey through my controller
What do you mean? I
Hope on accident
Wait, wait, wait who threw the controller is soul in game chat. Oh, no
Oh damn, that is uh, you gotta make sure that's okay, check the battery, check the cable.
Oh man.
So they're checking it out?
It doesn't sound like you mean, this seems very calm.
I apologize, I've thrown my controls.
It's like, oh I'm terribly sorry, I seem to have misplaced my controller at a wall somewhere.
We got back into it pretty quickly, I think all things are okay.
I do appreciate that JJ Breeze and Soul have been matching outfits for this entire set so
far as we go into the Phoenix Gate once over.
Heat is already on the menu for JJ Breeze, spending all of that right now.
So she ports the wall just a little bit but finds the heat of H that creates some space
for him.
Put this up Jeff, this time blocking on it, a little punish in there with the follow up,
just gonna go in for the low on there afterwards, expect it, ooohoo that was an okie setup
I'm pretty sure, like waiting for seeing what else will go on there just goes right
in for the hop kick, it can push after, nice.
It's one of those oaky setups that you only learn through just like seeing,
hey, what if I do this and it works?
Because it makes no sense frame-wise,
but it definitely plays on the human condition a little bit.
It's like, oh, you think you're done?
Oh, no.
Go ahead, we thrust down the wall.
Phoenix comes in with the assist on the raftwords
and we turn things around trying to get back to the wall.
Doesn't get much off of that because of the sidewall.
Boy, the wall standing too. Once again, after the flip,
stuff him into the dirt one more time.
Cactus him rolling to the right, I think he pressed the button at the last second.
That's a lot of life to recover though, and he hits it, he...
Oh, it's building up, it's building up, that's election.
It's actually building up a way faster than I thought on the simple string.
16 seconds, 15 minutes now.
Trying to get in there with the follow-up.
It actually has the lead now, thanks to all that.
And he has 50% with rage, that was insane.
Oh, what the flow pick up here five seconds into the giant swing for a little bit of time. Oh my god
I cannot believe he went for anything
I guess he went for an airborne move. So if he did rage art it would scale, but still like he a risk
Okay, I finish his off straight. Hello, he
Straight up ducks, JJ, breathe into the ground, going to get the continuation now.
Send him this way this time, face down, nice, he's going to win this whole game by counter
hit loss 82s.
And if it keeps on working might as well keep making it happen on there throughout that dynamite once more time on that
You know what? Nrb for an Nrb. We are going to a game 5 Sammy. Oh
That was great. He legit won the set on like three counter wall standing twos
That's crazy. Oh dude, but hey, uh, I
Like game one the game to the adjustments been made game three to game four the adjustments been made
But you're gonna have to skip the line a little bit here if you're gonna want it to move in the winners fine or losers finals
Yeah, you got to get that lightning pass. You got to make sure you are one step ahead of the game here
I hope you're enjoying this at home everybody
We are like I see nearly seventeen hundred of you both on YouTube and twitch together watching this as we go into this
Continuation time for top four deciding who goes to loser finals right now between JJ Breeze and still not the end day
slight delay there cats and soul
already gonna put him into the corner here doesn't get the full combo but
this needs pretty good
I said that until the throw break and so immediately takes advantage of the shoulder
check it like those angles one more time here here is the heat that tries to
go into the fall on there afterwards it's broken for it into the dirt I
I should say the floorboards on this one. Oh plus frames. They have beautiful floorboards. They're gonna have to pay for that later.
Nothing on the dark about first, but we're checking in for the low one more time in here. That was a lot of damage.
Oh yeah, face away situation. Face down, face away. Cannot be a worse situation for yourself on Okie.
100%.
And with the Hoppick we're going right back into the wall here.
Tornado says hello, stayed down on the ground, tried to go for the crouched trap, he's going
to give JJ Breeze an opportunity for a little bit of combo expression.
I think they can get all the way to the wall with this one, very close.
The trips into the mix, stay safe side on the slide by the way, that's big.
But now for very long here, he's like, he's going to get immediately to the
the perpendicular wall on there afterwards here, but you know what?
I like that one better.
Going to go in with the combo.
Rage Art is available.
Ducks just in time on the miscure into the heat smash from JJ Breeze.
On the wall, character gets like nine hits here.
There's so much damage and cats among staying on the floor.
Ties it up.
Only two rounds to decide the difference here.
At the very end here, one more time checking with this, again.
J.J. Brees have been timing those off by getting their blast hit and getting the heat on their
activity.
You know what?
The nunchuck sprayed it to tornadoes down.
Yeah, he's already put them on the wall, past all of his heat, too.
Oh, dude.
Just staying in the ground has not been good for him.
No, it's not been working out at all here.
Final round potentially here.
J.J. Brees trying to move on into loser finals here.
Sold, Aziate has been on an incredible run here so far.
Can they make it work?
Nice.
That little bit of extra patience worked out for him right there.
Didn't get much, but minor lifelike here, definitely something
to work with.
You're trying to go in and get the counter throw at that
from JJ Breeze here.
Big damage on the plate.
Yeah, huge lead now.
Has heaps match available, going to use it.
Plus frames, what's the mix?
Catches them on the way out and tries to get the heating
gager to recover life back.
Nice, that from JJ Breeze.
And he's putting himself in the loser's finals.
What a game, what a set all the way through there.
Just at the very end was, we had about three rounds
in there, like three matches rather,
where it was like no round brown, no round brown,
and then like a little boost
when you had the very end.
JJ Breeze finally making it work there.
Can we talk about the economy with Nunchuck?
Like we might need to start investing in Nunchuck.
Nunchuck seemed really strong in the economy.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Like once they devised the combos that have multiple Nunchuck's situations in them,
that this character got way better because he just has the ability to constantly refresh his heat.
As long as he's getting hits, he has the ability to choose when he uses his heat burst.
He's not forced, sorry, he's smashed.
He's not forced into it like other characters are.
It is it's extremely strong. There's no there's no buts about it
So I mean and their amount of things that he gets to hit nunchucks for right one plus. Yeah is a
very very common
Follow-up for a lot of counter hits a lot of moves that just like leave you
Splatted on the floor right in front of him. So he just gets a billion ways to recover it
And also they gave him that new stream to down forward one too. Yeah, she also uses the the
Nunchucks as well. So yeah, no, it's just extremely strong. It's extremely strong and definitely I think one of the reasons why
the character
Rows a little bit in people's minds
Towards mid towards the end of season two
Now 100% here JJ breeze been on the forefront of that as we're going into loser finals here
Do you return back on here? We're going to go King Ray Junior versus JJ breeze
This is a this the run back from earlier actually on that King region you took that 2 to 0 here
But JG breeze did a bit of running hot right now
Yeah, I was gonna say it looked pretty handily for junior
But like it's different thing when you're get a couple of good matches on you and run it forward again
Another thing though might be that that was five first soul. Those are some tough matches
And now you got a run against King Ray. This is gonna be a run for the ages if you can get this one done
Yeah, I'm gonna try to make it work here here in the Colosseum as everyone's watching as you on YouTube and Twitch are also watching back home
Here we go
Best back for the world man. No one hits it. No one hits that button better than he does
People paid good money for that button
Nice trying to catch them on the way out and I think Henry Jr.
Just trying to wait that timing that heat timer just a little bit
Yeah, now has not only a health resource but a life resource on top of them. Yeah, so like yeah
That's like with the with the gusso uses it immediately on their back free coming into play, you know, keep right
Just so good like I meant to say he but like when you have both
Leads on the opponent like if you're the first person to use heat
You usually want it to get a health lead on your opponent, but if it doesn't work out
You put yourself in a top position
And we've seen how well JJ Breeze has been utilized and they've been trying to keep it for as long as possible
No surprise that King Ray Junior is like, what if I just sit back and do nothing?
Yeah, absolutely, on a big stage you're hardly getting a punch for it
No reason
Definitely how stages change the way matchups get played as JJ Breeze
Now the one with the lead, but both characters saw a heat
Trying to catch a JJ Breeze duck with three plus fours one more time.
You're ready to block that out.
We're testing out all the patterns and nothing seems to be working until the first couple hits of the jump yard.
Yeah, I think he thought the back two was going to hit on the back and it just didn't.
So, but relatively safe string.
He didn't mind too much there as JJ Breeze cuts the timer down to seven.
King Ray Jr. thinks he needs to force the situation and a great step to blow it up.
I'll be just going right in for the throw just to get big sort of kind of extend it out
But you know what hitting the buttons in there the down forward to go ahead keep flow to the city
All frames just trying to create some space heat engager
Sorry heat burst
Trying to stabilize the moment for a second. Let's have some life to recover to and we'll get some on block
Check with the inner strength one more time, the follow up on the strength gets stuff out
here, but not afraid, just goes in for the flip.
It's actually been working out pretty well this entire time as the J.G.
Breeze is getting punished by King Ray Jr. very nice.
I timed on the power crush, so not only a great power crush in terms of being able
to have that sort of speed on it, but it covers so much space, so it's great for
plus he's not moment
So the trade here trying to get take our turn back make sure make sure we go the distance on it
But we're we're trading down it now a lot of down back three in here just being a little bit of fun
I would get to mark in there with the four four three. I believe all that
Knocked out just doubles it up goes for the head spike that guarantees the same oaky
Just to still apply here, JJ Breeze has a little bit of heat to work with here, holding down,
uses a smash on there, what's a setup?
Oh wow, that hit?
Okay, I'm actually quite surprised with maybe JJ Breeze pressed a button on the way to the
right.
Doesn't clean it up though, and JJ Breeze is on rage.
Definitely a chance to make a comeback if he finds the hit.
They will actually...
Yeah, I can't find it, unfortunately.
Wasn't giving it much.
King Ray Jr. always presses in those situations at least once,
and it catches so many people off guard
you expect them to hold back the whole time.
Yeah, no. For sure.
We were also seeing King Ray Jr. just being very avoided.
J.J. Breeze has been going in for the slides a lot of times at that distance.
win in for the like for like for the the the back-back-out-back on there after
we're just to kind of like find that perfect distance in there just to keep
maintained. Yeah so look good at moments for sure it's definitely not gonna be a
I don't think it's gonna be an easy one here but I've seen King Ray Jr. have
these kind of moments where he like has a slightly contested game one and
and then he just makes good decisions in game 2.
Like, he just knows how to sort of skip the next step in the layer
and just kind of go a little bit ahead and catch you off guard.
Oh, we're gonna see if that still maintains on there,
but we're gonna check King Ray Jr. is not fighting the bait.
Nice.
All the full step on the back!
Oh, no!
Oh, do you have the face away combos? Yeah, they're hard man. I totally don't blame you.
Yeah, I could not believe that it also broke the wall on their afterwards here. You're going to get
rewarded after like the confirm here. Back into the wall zone for the setup here. Look at the side
step into the heat activation. Oh my god, got hit by it. I'm moving immediately with the slide.
a lot of JJ Breeze doing the side step to the right on here after we're here nine seconds
doesn't even matter the two hits on there at the end go to take the round.
Round start throw works out.
Did I get to see that?
Yeah it's, it's actually making a read somewhere.
Okay, breaking that ball, so with one more time on there, using the option to go for the
distance and potentially get another reset on their outfielder, unfortunately in a bad
position on here trying to get away from that Viking Rage unit.
That exposes it out with the Heat Smash. Two up in a prime position to tie up the game count.
Awww, can't get back four!
Gotta love it, unless you're getting hit by it, which, you know, understandable.
Just feels like you make- the sound and everything make it feel like you made such a huge mistake.
Oh yeah, now it's like that little, that close movement, it's like, oh no, oh no, things are happening on there afterwards.
Right now, though, the things are happening on the side of JJ Breeze.
I'm gonna get a little bit of that heat back thanks to the follow-up on the non-chucks afterwards on the ground we go.
He resucer has heat available on here, which means that he's smashing melee, trying to keep, keep, keep guessing.
Oh my god.
That doesn't have any resources, just has to fight off this wall.
On the back and he's been getting those consistently three straight from JJ Breeze looking good
Tested the game count. Yeah, beautiful awareness on there to sidestep over to the right just to avoid all that on like on the move here
This is what I want to see though. We're like we were not in that shutout not the shutout that we saw on winners semi-finals
Man
Definitely, I feel like I've seen a lot of players have it get away from them when they play against Rey and
This is a
nice sign that he's definitely making the adjustments knows where to knows where to place the buttons and
we're
We're closing the gap of just a little bit
Well, we push early here are we going in for the other one of the one throw on there afterwards
It's just a medium break on that try to hold down with the dragon hammer
Nice.
After the dustcote, after the combo!
Just a little bit of a delay.
Katz and JJ Breeze, and he already activated heat, so he doesn't have a lot of life to
recover.
Oh, dude, I mean, getting quite a bit of for the rest of it there, I mean, made us
something of it, and the heat smash towards the end, he actually takes the lead because
But King Raginger turns to favor the heat engager gets him some life back as well
And immediately spends the heat smash and what do you do?
You just stand there for three seconds and then press the button at the right time
It's easy and all you have to do is press that button and make it happen sure enough
King Raginger is gonna have it happen
We're going in full crouch three try to get it when we catch the flow by JJ Breeze on the start of that screen
Carries to the wall here goes for damage
Nice block on the slide. You take a lot from it just goes to the tooth fairy after
He reduced your use a little bit more of the down back three from this and so you get a little bit of distance for me
Especially as a pope so I'm not expecting that you kind of like start adding it up
Like the use of the homing move there definitely both players trying to play on whether they're gonna step or not away from this wall
Seconds, gusto on the plate, Rajard on the plate too, anything is possible.
More seconds, you guys are trying to finish it off, JJP is being very defensive,
Weiss moves here, kills up a little bit of meter, the Rajard does pause the time,
but you know what, hey, get that monash, take that round.
Yeah, that was such a cool jockeying for position in that game.
They were playing with the wall to the right of them for the most part,
and then JJ finds a moment, steps to the left, and takes the position advantage,
and it felt like here it had to do things to find off the wall while JJ had the light
fleet.
Definitely trying to look for answer there.
Aw, just a little late on the back four, he had to read but the decision came a little
too slow.
He's on the ground so he gets a follow up on the bullcrap, dude.
Oh my god, I was going to say maybe Vettifusel got hit out of the air but he still gets the full combo out of it because of stage.
Oh, I just had a little bit of sidewall shenanigans on top of that for a little bit of extra damage.
Goes in for the follow up mid, gets the confirmed two rounds for King Ray Jr.
Nice.
I'd be able to carry to the wall here.
Oh, just the standard.
Don't worry about the lava any more at this point here going in for the first one plus two down one plus two
That we've seen a while with King Ray Jr.
Just whiffs it and King Ray Jr. was ready. Oh
And wait for the unblockable three or four three other afterwards gets the wall splat on top of that here
That's all you need to take the lead in this
the games are going back and forth, but it every time there's your go into back to the lobby they they make some big adjustment that's hard to adjust to or hard to respond to I should say and the last time we saw when we saw that versus soul.
soul, um, JJ came out on top largely because he won game one, uh, and then they were making
back and forth adjustments and at that point, you know, you get to game five, something
has to break.
And we're seeing a similar pattern here, although JJ breezes on the back foot, uh, doesn't
speak for everything, but definitely an interesting thought going into game four.
She's definitely in it as we're trading low blows at each other here, the good,
the counter hit confirm on the full crouch, it's a little bit of extra four.
Like, like, the key right here is the one getting all those damage just from the hit adding up for JJ Breeze.
Just keeping him in place with that 4-4-3. On the back. 1-2-4. Doesn't get too much, but all guaranteed.
Finish it off closer to the wall we go.
Nice JJ Grease almost baiting out that he burst don't want to over send there oh
Side step to the right actually denied the second hit of the follow-up on there
Yeah, that's rare, but I mean lucky for JJ those things happen in second
Checking out what the plus friends go to follow up on there, just far enough away still to
get hit by down 1 plus 2, ducks on the high, gets the Wildstanding 3 and big damage incoming.
Oh no.
Ugh.
He tried to KYHG him but a little bit too much scaling made that combo weird and ends
it with the Heat Smash.
mess it up one to one immediate use of the slide going to get guaranteed like a follow-up
on the nudge x nice gets a punish
but we carry no I was gonna say that's so long
okay all right it was all of this missing the combo missing the hit on the back it
It's all a setup for the big wall standing to all part of the script all part of the plan here active. Oh
My god, yeah, he's backs up look he space spacing first weird situation. I don't like it back that's how
But here we go though heat is still on the menu here
He's getting a little bit of that life back as a result of it and a lot less for JJ briefs after the gusto the 4-4 toe
uh the space trap post sabaki on block that was so smart the low parry is huge
he's gonna be able to tap on the rage no you just sent him full screen he'll think about it over there
he's on set point the one percent JJ freeze except not the way you want it to be on there but the
four four gonna go ahead give the confirm on their free combo for king where jr
put him on the ground
Nice.
Oh god he broke it.
Oh my god he broke it.
He broke it.
Then he gets the back turn toggle on top of that.
Thanks for the follow up on the heat smash here.
We got the heat up there.
No, he goes in the heat, recovers all of this life back.
He pretty much ties it up.
Oh.
Yes.
Get to get the combo off and he's in rage too because he has to recover so much
life.
Oh and yeah, that's good.
H2 because the other recovery is so much life.
Oh and yeah that's going...
No!
No!
Not like this!
Oh my god!
Oh, I don't need heart attacks.
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...
I...

I...

I...
I...
I...
confirm in there down back one to the gusto is in play
Yeah
Doesn't have
He anymore to cover that life back quicker, but he does have rage
That's a lot of research a lot of damage at that point here
This could finish it off here. You may need one more interaction. No, you don't look us one up one plus two
go to strike down on the face of JJ Breeze going to make King Ray Juniors go move on to Grand Finals.
That was a crazy block on that slide. Like double hammer in the slide was...
That would have hit most people but King Ray Juniors makes a great read closest to that and he gets his run back against Jake in Grand Finals.
Yeah, just like that on here. So we know the drill. We know the drill. It's Grand Finals.
We've been here before. King Ray Juniors sometimes in the winter side. King Ray Juniors sometimes the loser.
Also the same for dr. The jake man MD licensed surgeon ready for it
We got to get that reset. We got to like get that we have fun for first three all the way through here
This we might be here for a while Sammy
It's very possible to the dismay of production, but nonetheless
I'm looking forward to it because there's definitely a very likely opportunity that this goes with full 10
However, I know that Jake mayn will try to stuff that before it's too late
Looking to probably end it in one just because I mean taking it long against this guy will be pretty tough
Yeah, like definitely been really like we saw a lot of good callouts against how King Ray Jr. Was playing in there we saw
He would you just been doing a lot of returns back to like with the 1-3
Like against other poems and it's been actually working out getting those little pokes for the count
Jake been caught on to that pretty early on in that grant that that winners final said and ended up like
I'm gonna start low parry and I'm starting looking out for I'm starting looking out for these lows and started working out at that
Part here, but regardless of that we're going to the RTS farm the alpacas are waiting for us together
Into this battle wait hold on
But we have the the the the King Ray Jr. Oscar Oscar King Arbor King
That's a Oscar
That's not Oscar
I'm actually kind of hired. I'm actually kind of hired.
I don't think this is not the first time I've seen King Ray Jr. try out the Armor King on this,
so I'm not really surprised I want to see you on the battle.
Time to get the Snarled Game back in the chat, everybody.
That's nice to floor.
Oh, for the kids.
I'm gonna trade push to shove on there the counter head gets it to the guaranteed throw
on there afterwards bring it down.
Heat smash, good damage give me one more.
Get the stuff on there nice duck on the follow-up on there after a jakeman just cleans it out
Mids mids mids mids mids
Everybody
Hi, we get the balcony break on top of that too. Hello. How's it going here? Go ahead and bring it down here one more time
You're not gonna get that follow-up. You can't you can't double dip
armor breaker risk breaker put some face away oh that's that dangerous here
oh no oh a pile driver down into the legend of the devil all right let's go
game face away really in front of all my glowing green skulls right just like that
going to use one of them as a punish. Wow. Oh dude, the danger of this AK character.
Gotta keep an AK on you here, but we're going in one more time. Get the side step
into the punch, a little bit of a back turn combo here. Are we going to get to that wall?
Yes we are, and we actually get the explosion on top of that.
Yeah, I like that. The animations on wall explosions and stuff like that realign the character, so it put the feet towards King again, and it made the combo a little easier.
Yes. Very smart decision there.
Wall splat.
Gonna use another one.
One spin here, we haven't used all the skulls yet here, we're going to maybe use another
one here into the giant swing, here we go.
Yeah, just a little too far for that one, could have closed it if you got the wall.
Oh, we got the sidestep into it, throwing a round armor king like a rag doll in there.
Say your words Jake man, talk on the mic.
stuff. Look good, look good, look good for King Ray Jr. and the AK, but see we get a
run back on it. I would have mind. I think it looks pretty good.
Yeah, I'm always a fan of like whenever we get through the run back, we get the
tryout. Let's try something else new. Let's try to get that more of that
information. If it doesn't work, you got at least, you got the three rounds in
here. You're like, and you just go back to the tryout and true at that
point here. So let's find out together. Yeah, back to the Oscar. I don't, yeah,
Like I said, I I agree with you and then don't mind the one try
You're gonna have to make the full run anyway, right? So what's one game? Yeah
Get that reset maybe you get to try again on that
We're trying to get that wall splat really bad from the F4 one begin. Oh
Nice
Hold that nice drop in the combo really hurts there
Unfortunately I try to go in for the running two on the nothing four here
This is gonna be big damage and the wall and everything in between you just gave everything to Jake man
Yeah, I like him keeping the positioning there the break wouldn't have killed and it would have reset back into a neutral
Place on the stage. Let's keep the balcony and have that advantage. Yeah, I always can use it later
Maybe try to use it now
He tried to, he tried to, but unfortunately the game said no.
That was such a weird angle too. I've never seen it quite like that on the back turn.
I've seen the wall break for less.
I was really surprised it didn't break.
Wall is like, nah, I'm good, I'm good. I'm structurally integral here.
Try it again, man. This balcony is not going anywhere.
Oh, the strongest balcony known to man.
This balcony's in on it with King Ray Jr.
We need to install that on Midnight Sea, that's what we need here.
Oh!
Let's go ahead with the chain grab right now.
Nice break.
Help.
There he goes, try to go for two, no dice.
Try to go for it again.
Okay, four seconds.
While we do anything, we're gonna fall!
Oh my god, this dude.
Oh
Yeah, didn't get it off before the time-up happens so doesn't count at that point here now
You know what the first no feet now. We're not going to save for it now
No, I don't like balconies also this guy King Ray juniors is making great reads goes for
The low drop kick trying to mix up whether he used the balcony or not and King Ray junior makes another great read
like time fly back and forth here. Great sidestep and never janked.
I tried to go in for the throw, gets away from it from my King Ray Jr.
AGAIN with the Giant Swing!
Aw, that's a...
WAAAHHH! He pulls off to get more damage.
Kind of a weird...
Yeah, off-accessing. Didn't get all the way back online.
Yeah, missed time to on it.
Maybe if we could've continued it if it was just the standard forward three...
uh, two, three on the reference.
But now I have to go into the chain throws.
Nine seconds left down on here.
Goes into the Giant Swing to kill a little bit of time on here.
Now 1 plus 2 is going to get that up and to the second round for King Ray Jr.
Bro, he did run up down 1 plus 2. He's like, cool, just go do my big low in front of your base.
I get on the side on here while we're...
We're just actually trying to get away. I like that the candle out from the crouching, just to adjust the position on there.
Unfortunately, that wrong war into the confirmed heat dash! Oh my goodness!
Gonna carry to the wall! Very nice! 3-2-2!
Homie. Oh, the timing on the heat smash is gonna give him a lot of room here.
Longy crowd's gonna be going down to the left 10 seconds here. This could potentially
be also on that here. We're blocking it on here one more time. Get's avoiding all these mids.
Oh
No
It doesn't even matter a low parry will do nothing for you ties it up one to one
Yeah, please are the one plus two the one plus two will believe in you right back. Oh
Man one to one here
Get off this stage, bro
He did it back and back and then the balcony said, uh-uh, you don't get two of these.
The balcony just has like one big frowny face on it.
It's like, you know what, you did it once.
I didn't like that.
So, you know what?
Impenetrable.
The balcony was going into business for itself.
That was...
Yeah.
I didn't know what it's made out of.
I might need some housework in the future.
Alright.
Let's make a different balcony.
I'm sure this one will go better.
Yeah, we'll find out one way or another. We're going to go away from it though with that 4-4.
Going to get the confirm. This time the charge into 4-4-2-3 does make it sparkier enough to
get the gusto for, I think, right here.
Down back 3, a little off the wayside, but... Ooh, CD4? I like it.
We're going to go with DDT.
I mean I'm loving the solobots using the homing move because obviously J4 would like to step
to the right here and get the open space.
Would like that.
Would like to get the advantage.
Okay, Oscar the heat smash on there afterwards here.
seconds we're just gonna go in for the while standing one plus to get the mark
So unfortunate it got the accidental jump and stop hummus on the floor with the heat smash
Perfect distance on here just to make sure they get the wall combo to
Next to the boxes trying to get away from it push the shove back into the back into the center
Can't answer the throw very nice timing for King Ray Jr.
I'll see how he here just steps back afterwards eating keepers trying to recover some light
He finishes the string and catches King Ray not only is great, but he's getting to the balcony
We might be seeing the word are we checking this one to know we're gonna go in we get the giant swing
Oh
He not a ticket. I feel like he had enough life on tech. Oh, yeah, I was about to say maybe it was the mispiving on that
He need to check the record check the check the footage on that one. No, there's like it's impossible to miss the tech
It feels literally impossible to miss the table second a that felt like two I might be crazy anyway
Okay, here we go, with the heat on here following up here, we're going in a lot more up-forward
one usage coming out of the players.
This time breaking on the giant swing, trying to back away, but not you cannot escape from
this heat smash.
It's coming for you.
Power turn to favor.
Do another one.
Do another one. He's a lot of a little belay before the DDT.
He's wrapping up here.
Jackman trying to turn this into a- like into a- like the lead with the two here.
Got someone there.
Okay, I like to have the resource in there just builds ahead.
use it it's a little bit on the follow-up on back turn no you're not allowed to use
this balcony that'd be unfair
oh you know it goes in all catch a king red user standing up and goes into like
the squeaking neck on there one more time taking the lead here on a winner
side right now that was really cool mix like he didn't end it like any other
Like king 30 didn't do for like a so-bot or or go for the 3 2 2
You know what for a hit went for the running in the running stunner instead and he catches them on immediate tech
And that's the kind of stuff that like at this highest level
That's the kind of stuff that wins you games because it's something you don't expect so when you don't expect it you usually
tend to go to your instincts and
That's something you can pray upon. Yeah
Yeah, no, 100% especially when you have like that little light, you know you're at least going to get one of those if you take them for the most important moments, such as right there.
But here we go, up to potential tournament match for Doctor of the Jake Man right now with the Jaguar Roar getting like the pushback we're trying to take each other out.
Maybe has a good chance here on the infinite stage. You mentioned before King has a lot of benefits going to this, well not infinite, big stage, but part of my legacy term.
Yeah, feels feels infinite infinite like yeah diet infinite
Oh, you're trying to see it. Okay, we did the oh, that could have been a punish on there after the cancel
How so it has to heat advantage right that that's about it. He needs to change this into
fixing this death deficit
That'll last so long.
Oh, it's over because of the combo lag.
Oh, you could have still went on.
You still had access to the 4, 3 plus 4 on there afterwards.
You could have had more time.
A little bit more slowdown happening on here.
We go with the 4, 4, and 4 plus 2 on there afterward.
Use that gusto. Doesn't get the follow-up on here.
Nice follow-up on the duck on here,
Jake thought they had a chance to get in there as King Ray Jr. was escaping,
but now two up in this match.
Nice duck.
See King Ray Jr. changing up the pace just a little bit,
playing a little bit more aggressive now.
Trying to catch Jake man, moving around.
Gantzels out of it, trying to like seal off.
Just all the up, forward, three coming in for King Ray Jr.
That's gonna be a full combo on that counter hit.
I mean minor here. Yeah, I mean for reals. Oh god. What if you just time it, right?
What if you just press buttons correctly? Oh man, what if that was me? What if that was me?
I dream that was me. Waste the rest of the heat timer as well on King Ray Jr. side.
Oh, no, thank you the leg drop
No, he tries to go for the deathmord, what the cat kids?
He can't keep getting away with it!
Oh, the monster! The savage!
The get out of jail free card right there down 3 plus 4
King Rage you're tying it up once again here
Ohhhh
Why?
Dude, how do you want to make a bajillion comebacks in a single set?
Sure, man, whatever.
I need to know in the chat who spent more points on the prediction.
How can you decide between these two who is going to be your champion here?
Because you know, with that prediction, you voted for the entire set, both the Grand
Finals and the potential Grand Finals reset.
You're in for the long call at this point here.
How do you decide between these two?
Oh man, I decide between the two because Jake Man's the local, that's the whole thing.
No bias commentary.
Certainly not.
Going in an immediate low parry start option in there for King Ray Jr.
We're getting a little bit more movement here, big stage yet again.
Kind of unusual we'll see that after Ryakashima, but King Ray Jr. made it work the last
time.
Just try to go for Wavesash Okie on there, use the simple, king rate junior, smell something
funny and save some ground for a second longer.
Oh, look how I caught in the midair, Winslow trying to use Kankin as it looked like at that
point, this time Jake man ready for that option.
I love that throw in open space man, it does like 15 damage and he's just like, just
It's like a border toss for no damage
No, they're on the back three here. We're good a little bit Jaguar Jaguar roar
Step it very nice King Ray Jr. has been good to whenever he gets hit on the side on the shoulders or on the back
He kind of knocks out of the way
Okay, I'm going to finish it off with the guaranteed hit on there with Augusto.
One round each for both players here.
Trying to decide between if you watch more Tekken or if Jake Mann gets to sign off early
for the evening.
A hot toward between more Tekken and having the boy win, but King Red Junior is the
one who's trying to make it go longer.
We're trading below for below here nothing on the follow-up here trying to keep keep getting with the four threes from oska
Break pretty important there that's trying to keep a plus frame says no, thank you
Where we checking on we're going to like keep against it on there here goes the heat smash on there
Nothing for trying to go for down for two and not gonna find anything for the trouble ten seconds
He's not like this not again. Please like not again. I feel like I'm watching a horror movie get away from the door
Oh, no, don't open that's the oh
It could happen to you it could happen to any of us right there on the follow-up King Ray, Jr.
All the potential upper east standpoint
Ugh. Taking these things like a thief in the night, round after round, won't somebody stop
this man?
I don't think I'll take up unfortunately here a lot of use of the back, down back three,
but you know what, found that, found that hot D and it's going to take full advantage.
There we go.
You know the situation here.
He smashed those for the mid.
This is the final round.
The difference between the reset and the tournament.
One more to decide the difference.
YEEE!
BOKKI to start it off.
Oh my, just, just read it like that.
Just fire it off.
A case of emergencies at that point here.
Keep it a plus with the fully charged full crouch.
Uh, down for three.
Oh, Heat Engager.
Gonna recover some life back.
Jaguar hammer breaks the throw
To the bridge please reach for here. We're trying to stop it's dimmy the distance in there for jake man
Trying to get this approach in here nothing on the knee nothing on the knee nothing on the knee
Okay back turn combo to try to go in for the run
It gets the kill! Jake Man is going to be your Tekken 8 102 TNS champion.
That is why you don't skip leg day. That is why you do not skip leg day. You keep using
that work and you got the hobney started working more and more and more. They're beautiful
stuff from Dr. The Jake Man.
My god, dude the three or four running threes like I was like, oh
Oh, oh my god, but I mean I'm happy happy for Jake man
able to take a big one so great stuff to him and
Dude, what an awesome set what an awesome top eight we have what an awesome night
This is like just again. I said it before I'm gonna say it again
I was a little bit worried that between like TWT and Frosty thousands people are gonna be like
a little bit tired, a little bit jet lag from that flight.
People coming back and being on complete point
that we received down the line,
sold off the Entei with an incredible run
to get all the way to get to that fourth place
on their JK Breeze by Eakin' it out on there.
King Ray Jr. also coming back with renewed figure,
the Jake Man, that was so good.
Yeah, super good.
Yeah, I mean, another awesome week
of Tekken 8 on TNS.
One more can you ask for, man?
Yeah, more, like this just keeps on happening
every week, every Tuesday.
This is where you need to tune into.
Whether on YouTube, whether on Twitch,
you know where the good Tekken's gonna be at.
It's gonna be right here, and it keeps on happening.
All right, well, listen, man,
I didn't recover all my energy from Frost's weekend
that took it out a little bit for me,
and I thought I was gonna get a nice, relaxing
second Tuesday, it is not the case.
Quick shout out, by the way.
I want to give a quick, we had a Redemption bracket.
Well, let's get a bracket winner here.
One outcaster making the run on that.
Yeah, we mentioned earlier, I'm going to mention again,
you get that 0-2, you get that 1-2.
It's not the end of the evening for you.
You go, hey, you tell the TNS staff here,
it's like, hey, I want to enter that Redemption bracket.
Don't give you the hook up, make it happen,
get that practice in.
I've seen some of the players,
I've seen when the Redemption bracket have gone on
to do amazing runs in the TNS main bracket too.
So just because you have a bad run one week
doesn't mean that it's the end at that point.
You gotta pick yourself up, get back out there.
Yep, it's all about the long haul.
So it's about the journey and it's all the steps
that we take along the way, but hopefully we can take
some steps for the next week
as we do run these each and every week.
But until then, we'll have to bid you adieu.
Thank you guys so much for joining us for this week.
It was a wonderful, wonderful bracket after what a big weekend of Tekken and I'm looking
forward to the future.
So from TNS, from RiskySqueep and me.
Thank you guys for joining us.
See you next week.
Have a good one.
