Paper X strived back with a decisive map here at Masters Santiago.
Only our second match that's even gone to three maps,
and Paper X still fan favourites, despite the story of Furia,
the crowd here on their side.
Yeah, Paper X involved those series, so on to take it to three maps.
And in such Paper X fashion, this breeze just looks like a complete return to form,
and honestly, this match, living up to the expectation of Paper X being an outsized favourite.
I was scared a little bit right at the beginning, but my fears were filled for a paper pass.
The kind of, you can exploit over on that B side, you're going to have really hot, let's go supermose.
Lim early on, Forsaken was getting caught in some early positions. He really was.
But then later in that half, he started to heat up, and especially playing these.
Once he started getting the outlaw in one of the rounds, into the off with another one of the rounds,
you're just taking over on Breeze. It's one of the best match of those weapons.
Do you think that's because there was an adjustment to the plan, the game style, or is it the players kind of settling into playing better in the match?
Like, what's your read going forward?
It felt like, for me, at least in the case of Forsaken, just bringing things in a little bit and letting the game come to them.
It felt that way late on Haven as well, that they were trying way too hard to make things happen.
They were forcing plays, but they started to relax and just let story come to them.
I do also think the latter part was a big piece of the puzzle, especially that second half.
They were making a lot of same individualistic plays.
They were making the aggressive things
that they got punished for in that point yet again.
But in this map, they were hitting more
to the normal paper extended.
I think that was especially true for Jing
and something who really came online in this game.
And those is not so clean.
Well, we were talking earlier on, setting up this game,
about Jing and Forsaken actually being like weaker points
so far at Masters Santiago.
Yeah, not quite coming online and yet here.
I mean, they absolutely blasted.
Jing and something both going nuts.
Yeah, it's interesting to see a Furia who switches Koala off of the jet
where he's been so excellent versus something being put back on that role
that's always been excellent for him
and delivering the way he has on Breeze for pretty much forever.
It felt like you could really see that massive comfort in his play
the way that he was just working mid, pushing down solo,
finding big plays, opening kills just on his own,
and then jing on the omen, especially that anchoring
that when you started to activate on defense,
playing some unorthodox positions on B
where he could teleport around getting multi-kills.
I feel like that might have been his best map
at his tournament so far, honestly.
I mean, it's not a term of the impact, he's saying.
Well, quickly though, just on Fury on the other side,
what do you think about that compositional adjustment, Mimi?

I think it is a factor,
but I don't necessarily think it was everything in the match.
I liked that in match one, they played their same style,
but refunded it against PaperX.
Here, I felt like they moved away
from that success a little bit.
You're, in my opinion, better on the macro.
I think the flashes are very helpful to have on this map.
But at the end of the day, Koala takes over the server,
but he gets to play that jet,
and he could not become a factor on this map.
I want to sell you a narrative here.
I'll at least pitch you on something to see how you feel about it.
Because if that map had happened to start the series,
I guarantee you would be talking about the crumbling,
the number one seeds are out there.
Does it affect the mentality of players if it's map two?
Well, funny enough, if you look at the qualifying match that Furia had against semi-Bj,
the second-last map, they got dominated on Breeze.
The final map was split. They rallied back, win, and get into this first seed position.
So, I think that at least regionally, they displayed that they have to resolve to get themselves out of a situation like this.
Listen, we're talking about that Qualen of Euro.
He's going to be playing it on split. He's going to have to turn up.
But I think that on that map, the team does an excellent job at putting him in these positions
positions that find success with that operator especially on defense the way
they work the lanes they're so good on that side I really do feel like they can
bounce back have this at least be a close affair the real test for a team's
rental isn't if they can come out and dominate a quick to out it's when they
have that bad map if they can rally like you say they've done it in
America's but it's a very different game here with how loud this crowd is with
how quality paper X is right now and the way they've warmed into this
series but I agree with you they're going to split getting to play a map

I think that he is one of the biggest keys to the success that Furia had at home.

He was so consistent in getting a shorty opening kill, just diving on someone on those pistols.
And Curio won a ridiculous amount of them.
Today, they're over four on the pistol rounds.
It is wild and I want to see Helen being that guy to lead the charge to win a pistol and get Furia back in this match
Why absolutely listen we've got Furia and paperwrecks the first seed from America's last year an
Organization that couldn't get a single win on the cusp of maybe beating one of the greatest teams of all time
It's going to come down to these players
Finding their form that they had on map one but finding the teamwork that they had on map one
And I think this is just the map for them to do it.
They display incredible fundamentals here
when they were working their way through kickoff.
But Paper X are a totally different beast.
So far, they've beaten the other two
American teams in this tournament.
Both on split, they could be going for the three-peat
in both regards.

to adapt on the fly. And we're talking about obviously the benefit of coming in,

he's getting more picks himself than pretty much anyone else who's playing that dive

I think Dombie not only is great at building space for his team
But also is individually excellent and to me that's more important than just the yoru who very often is you know
Cleaning up kills on anti-ecos with the outlaw. He's taking over on defense with the off
I think it's the hardest role in the game and for watching the regions. I think don't be the best at it
I feel like the neon I I agree
I do think it's the hardest role in the game, but I think the yoru can ultimately find even more impact when you're at the
Level that Martin is currently playing at
The way that they have the system designed around him allows him to be able to get so many big impact first kills
which is what you're going to be relying on Dambi for.
But I think that with the way they are able to use Martín,
he can do it with even more consistency than Dambi can,
and I could take them over the top.

at previous medals and the hard counter to Neon was always cited as Cypher. He got a
huge nerf going into this year. Most of the world wrote the agent off, but Amia
stuck to it and Mates especially has played more Cypher than anyone else. So I want
I see after the changes, after the nerves can on defense mates actually shut
Tom be down and make his life difficult on the entry this team has been so good at
problem-solving so far throughout this tournament even when they've been tested
IGL Starzo the coaching staff they've stepped up and figured out what the

I think it is. I think if Wele was the defining agent of champions in Paris
I think Neon will be the defining agent of this tournament and for me, Nongshun is the best example of
Implementing Neon into pretty much every one of their comps. There is no debate that it is defining on Haven
It's essentially a must-pick right now for me to start all about Bibo on the Neon though
He feels even
Supplemental in the strategy which has more emphasis on Martin being a star one advantage
Neon has on the defense is how much it helps your defensive macro with fast rotates watch
Dombie and help the information from any of his teammates
He's maneuvering to almost always be in the right place to get value out of his stun and defend alongside his anchors
