in between and welcome to day
number three of week three for
the VCT Game Changers. Yeah,
series one of day three here this week and okay, it's going to be a pretty impactful one all things
considered maybe not for the two teams playing but for everyone else watching. Yeah, I mean we're
finally getting down here to the end of stage two and getting ready for those playoffs a lot of
teams already solidified themselves of course but I think it's still gonna come into play when we
talk about seedings and whatnot so I would still say there's a lot of impact this game
can have. But that being said, I mean, what we got to see kind of off stream, the game
hadn't quite finished, was that actually twisted has just qualified as well. So they have secured
their spot in the playoffs. Of course, still looking for that sixth place team. And there's
a little bit of wiggle room. So those games will kind of determine who the last team to
qualify is. But we have those top five locked down here, Mad Dunder.
it does indeed that that spot for the sixth place as you said for the most
part nothing's gonna really change here for the top five scenario but it is
really just to showcase at this point of if twisted minds can you know defeat
the undefeatables right zero losses if they're able to bring something to
gentlemates that they're not anticipating we might see a little bit of a
shift in terms of exactly whose place we're in terms of the seedings they
might actually be able to knock gentlemates off of that pretty much
guaranteed top two. If not,
number one seed coming in a
spot that I believe a lot of
people had pre booked for G2 and
suddenly this this stage of
anything has really shown the
development of, uh, you know,
how valorant is changed even just
in the last stage. I mean, of
course, we're looking ahead to
that. We're getting neon
nerfed as well. And for anyone
that just wants to look slightly
more ahead, but not too much
more head after this series, of
and focus as well. So plenty of
Valorant shenanigans to be getting
up to. But for the moment,
gentlemates and twisted minds
orchid. Very, very storied
history between these teams. A
lot of back and forth between
them, and it's not always when
gentlemates way and considering
that the entire stage so far has
went their way. Maybe twisted
minds want to keep that up.
There's a lot of these contenders that are really just hovering right around each other.
So I think that kind of makes it a little bit interesting when we're looking towards,
hey, who's going to qualify?
Where?
What are the seedings?
Because remember, there's a knockout stage.
So if you're in the top two, you get to avoid that knockout stage.
And of course, if you're the top seeded in there, you get to choose your opponents.
So it's kind of interesting to see that we have all these teams kind of hovering around
like the five-win mark right now.
course there's still games today and tomorrow that'll really solidify everything but I kind
of like that we're getting down to the wire here don't we and we don't exactly know how
everything's gonna play out so it is exciting when the last games do actually matter.
Yeah the Dominos are gonna have to fall and for like teams, pardon me, for teams like
SK in particular currently placed at the second highest seating but you know off the back
of this if we see twisted minds you know pull off something that no other team has done
this stage. All of a sudden SK might find themselves not on that top second, that second
top spot anymore. They might find themselves down, you know, towards that fourth, fifth,
maybe even sixth. Not going to be enough to obviously fully dislodge them from the qualification
in any shape, manner or form, but even still, always considerations to be made. But as
we get into the nitty-gritty, I mean, for the moment at least, we are here to see these
two teams and I am very excited to see exactly how we're going to go through.
So we can start with twisted minds,
orchids just to see exactly get a run through of all of the players that we
playing because of course some other rosters have had to have surprise sudden
changes, surprise little differences to their teams and to the lineup spot.
These two teams, at least fortunately for them,
they've been pretty consistent over the course of the entire stage.
No real surprise substitutes or no one needing to be replaced.
So both of these teams should in theory always be able to play at the top of their form, especially today.
Yeah, I definitely agree.
And it is really exciting.
Of course, we got to see off stream that match yesterday that did qualify them.
But when you're talking about a team like twisted roster, I mean,
they've always kind of been in the contention for one of those really, really solid teams.
And I think that's something that's a little bit interesting.
They did just qualify but again not too far behind all these other ones and really really exciting of course misu twisting

it's an ES, but the, the PS dead kind of trickled down for that two K, but even still
Misu with a phenomenal, phenomenal showcase to really get Twisted Minds cemented into this top five,
top six. And hey, the sky is only the limit, right? Well, the brim is only the limit, so
she doesn't play Sky. But that's exactly the kind of momentum the Twisted Minds are coming into
this series with. And of course, we just seen Misu there, but we'll get a look at the rest of the
lineup joining her as well. Just in a moment here, they are again, no introduction should be needed.
and everyone being pretty much on their top form, I would have to say, Kaye.
Yeah, I mean, I think all of these girls definitely have been showing up in the
server throughout the entire stage.
I don't think any of these names are unfamiliar to anyone out there.
I think this has been a great pick up for the team.
Obviously, you know, we're talking about lean and we're talking about like one
of the best to do it.
Ness, Sarah Graham's, I mean, they all are just kind of consistently doing
their role and doing it well.
And you talked about that momentum.
So coming in off of that last one that qualified them,
that solidified their spot in playoffs,
like that's a pretty high, high to be riding
into this game against.
Gentlemates that, yeah, have had a dominant stage two,
that a dominant stage one, of course, as well.
So I mean, that's kind of a tough giant to be walking into.
But if you can kind of ride the momentum of,
hey, we solidified our spot in playoffs,
now it's just seeding.
I think they have a pretty good shot here.
They should do indeed.
And I don't think this is guaranteed.
As much as 100% win rate, Gentlemates
has been making this stage pretty much their home,
this is not a guaranteed shot out
against Twisted Minds Orcas that Gentlemates
are going against.
And the maps are, of course, going
to be a massive factor getting into it.
And as we look towards just the overall split
of Twisted Minds Orcas, the overall map set
that they do have from this stage.
I mean, it's pretty varied, Callie,
but you kind of pointed out to me,
I think it's a great point that I want to let you have
about the two maps that we've not seen
that aren't currently listed here.
Yeah, I mean, we're not seeing Breeze
and we're not seeing Pearl.
And that's kind of the difference, right?
You're Twisted Nines here
and you've only played five out of the seven maps so far.
And that's fine because you do have a band.
So you don't have to play both of them,
But there's a chance that you're going to play one of them, especially, you know, we'll get into a general mates map pool a little bit later.
But especially when you know you're going against a team that kind of has played almost all of these maps, right?
And I think another kind of part of that is you have going into it, you're looking at some of these win rates and like, yeah, you know, your Haven fracture split positive win rate, even there on bind and lotus.
but I mean, none of these are so like,
dominantly one-sided towards Twisted Mind.
On the other hand, you know,
that does give them a little bit of that scrappiness, right?
They've had to kind of juke it out on all of these maps.
They have that experience, but, you know,
going into this, you're 10 and seven
when you're looking at the maps,
and that's not exactly the kind of map win rate
that you would like to see going into a matchup
against Gentlemates.
So, but I mean, you're, you're twisted minds and you're looking to just, just up this one, right?
Absolutely. And we will basically have to see one of either Pearl or Breeze, uh, and especially
because at least one of those maps, uh, are pretty solidly, uh, cozy for, for gentle mates. And I
mean, here we go. Literally as we see it, the previous showing from the stage, twisted minds
managed him to take Haven. That was a very, very confident statement towards Haven, but
Pearl and Split, 13-8, you know, kind of says everything you need. Of course, this was stage
one, so no abyss, no corrode. It means that maybe Breeze might be back on the cards here,
though, for Twisted Minds, and we know Pearl has been their Instaban for this entire stage,
so gentlemates, I assume, have done their homework. It would be quite surprising if they don't.
they will be able to force Twisted Minds onto that breeze. I don't think we'd see the Pearl,
I think that might be, you know, the immediate ban from Twisted Minds, just based on how it went
on the previous stage and how they've talked about it beforehand. But again, you've got a 50-50 coin
toss here and Gentlemates might be able to steal a map just off of that alone. Yeah, I mean, when
you are Gentlemates coming into this right, you did have that one on Pearl. Pearl has been
Twisted Mind's Instagram for a while. I think last series they did elect to bind Breeze first, but didn't have to play Pearl in the end anyway
So obviously they had done their kind of homework on on those teams, but I mean they're against a tough opponent, right?
Gentlemates have been undefeated this entire stage
Undefeated quite a bit of last stage at least undefeated in the playoffs to go to win
So I think they're on what like a 15 game win streak at this point haven't lost the game since the beginning of February
We're now like midway into May
So I mean that's that's kind of a tough thing to look at so yeah
I mean they're probably having to look at a map that maybe they
Haven't really wanted to play throughout the rest of the series
But at some point you're gonna have to play it and it just might be today. So uh
So speaking of gentle mates, let's kind of pivot over towards them because we've talked
a lot about what Twist and Mine needs to do, but gentle mates, man, have they had such
an incredible stage so far, Dante?
They really have.
I mean, Berry X on that Neon has been absolutely stunning.
And then gentle mates, it really does.
If I were to pick an MVP, now this is just off of the stats and the plays that I have
seen.
This is not cohesive.
This is in no way to say who deserves the MVP fully.
But Marty just always seems to show up for Gentlemates in particular. She has been one
of the cornerstones, always the reason behind either the reason Gentlemates have won around
so decisively or have managed to bring it back from the brink of a really unfortunate
kind of position for Gentlemates. So she really has been the rock for the rest of her squad.
That is not to take away. Every single player here has had more than their fair share of
of highlight moments and impossible scenarios that they've managed to completely salvage
off the back of one if not two of these remaining players. So a complete force to be reckoned
with one that's clutch percentage as well is pretty high across the entire team. So leaving
anyone alive is potentially dangerous. And in a team-based game like this, the fact that you're
you have to leave someone alive at points you cannot
not expect every ex-future to be a full five-man push, easy kill, easy spike plant doesn't
really go that way. So having to, you know, potentially reswing against anyone from gentlemates
or retake against any combination of this roster is a tough, is a tough task. And we've
seen that all stage. No one has fully been able to do it enough to take a series off
of them.
Yeah. I mean, it's funny because you look at, um, sometimes you're looking at teams
and you're like, okay, this is the player that we can't leave alive, you know, if we
get this one player, then we're good for the round. And it's like you're looking at a stacked
roster like that. And it's like, no, actually, we can't leave any of those players alive
or else like the round is not secured. So it's tough. And then you're looking at this,
their map pool for stage one, I mean, only four map losses the entire stage. That's pretty,
incredible across six maps by the way we have one two three a hundred percent one
rates two of them just around that you know 67 percent so I mean really
splits the only one that even looks kind of bad and it's not even bad it's 50
percent and it's one and one so like I'm looking at this and I'm like man like if
I'm twisted minds are any any team out there I'm thinking wow how do we even do
are homework what do we even ban because they they look pretty convincing on any of these maps don't
they yeah they really do bind the only one not showing up there uh and they're bind they're
bind kind of player it's fine as well uh but breeze the one to zero and the 100 percent i think
that's the the pivotal moment because you look at pearl three and zero a hundred percent it's
already a map that twisted mines are not favored on nor do they find it a particularly favorable
that and then you'll see
the difference between the
two. We all know that. They
know that. We talked about
that being the insta band, so
looking at gentle mates rocking
the 100% you have to
essentially look at twisted
minds and believe that if
pearl isn't the first ban on
the map rotation, that is
going to be a problem because
breeze has a lower sample size
at the very least one and zero
is a far easier stat to
crumble than a three and zero
against Pearl last stage.
So if you even want to keep that in your mind,
it's almost like four and zero there.
So yeah, I mean, that's, that's not a map I want to go into
and considering that they've banded a lot of other series,
really this would not be the time if I'm twisted minds
that I want to switch that up.
So let's take a look at to see what they actually band
and we'll see where we're headed for the series.
Like sight and stuff.
All right. Yeah. Okay.
Not surprised with the Pearl and the vine band.
Yeah. Who is shocked to see that twisted starting us off
first on Lotus. Gentlemates, well, we did kind of speak about that coin toss, right?
And Gentlemates, they're playing that coin pretty perfectly, to be honest. You know,
despite fracture, solid play rate and a very solid win rate from them, you know, that 4-2,
50% still. It's enough for them that Twisted has actually looked at and went, okay, no,
we're not dealing with this, we're not wanting to worry about that. Meanwhile, Split has been
another map that Gentlemates are comfortable on, but Split has always just been more of
of a scrappy closer closer range kind of map where especially in this matter the neon with the shotgun easily can just steal one round or two just out of the back and then Lee and you know one or two rounds is again difference maker so the maps that we're not going to but lotus Kai the first that we do.
Ah, super, super excited to see that Lotus.
Of course, we've seen good things and bad things with Lotus.
I think it's one of those maps at this stage especially.
We've had a lot of dominant wins on
and pretty tough losses on,
even from teams that don't typically lose.
So excited to go to that Lotus.
It's also worth noting, I mean,
right now these teams are playing
for really, really important seeding spots, right?
If you're a gentleman, you need this to secure that first place spot.
Again, do you need it?
You still have another series coming, but you don't really want to be at the
mercy of any other teams at this point.
And the same thing goes for just the minds, right?
They just qualified, but remember, uh, these next two days are really important
in terms of where everything falls.
So you don't really want to leave things up to chance.
So playing maps, like for example, if you're a gentleman, do you really want to
play split that you're only one and one on versus like, you know, you're a little
bit more solid with that Haven or you know obviously this isn't the time to
bring out Pearl if you have it all stage if you're twisted in mind so not not
really too surprised here but it's also worth noting that once we head into the
playoffs right that map pool is changing so just something to keep in mind as we
move forward. Yeah indeed Bind I mean I'm sure a lot of people maybe are looking
at this and a bit surprised to still see Bind in the map pool but just with
timings and such coming through and none of the teams were ever going to really prepare a scent
to you know as much as it's a scent and nothing's changed in terms of the map agents and rosters
and lineups and all quite a lot has shifted even just between this stage one and stage two so
it seemed a bit unreasonable and on all fronts to kind of get that map switched in right but
as you said looking towards the future neon's probably going to be hitting a pretty big hard
I'm sure other people have other words, but politely will say suffocating well. I don't know. It depends what side of that shotgun you're on to be fair.
Very personally, I find it suffocating. But I'm sure if you're, you know, neon main or, you know, maybe even raised with the high gear being knocked down at least two or three and shotguns overall not being as, uh, shall we say suffocating? I'll say suffocating polite, the polite word.

know, maybe even raised with a couple of those blast specs, maybe, maybe, uh, these nerfs
are hitting you a little close to home for the rest of us.
We are celebrating, but we are currently celebrating because it is time for agent select.
It's time to get in to Lotus no more potentially looking onto the future, no more reminiscent
about the past, we have ourselves the agent select coming in and Gentlemates, no real
surprises here, they've ran this composition time and time, true and true again, Twisted
Minds Orchid however, they're not running, or they're not, sorry, apologies, they are
not going for the Neon, I knew something had changed but Twisted Minds Orchid, they're
already beating us to the new patch, Kai.
I want to stay ahead of the game and keep us on our toes and you know honestly I mean
that's that's actually not really a bad litmus test right if you're able to take the win
here kind of changing things up you know moving forward you're you're pretty pretty solid
especially you know playoffs being on the new patch and you solidified a spot in playoffs
already just kind of wanting to know like how how are we gonna stand once we get there
So and I am surprised I will say but I don't I don't hate this
It's I think what a lot of teams are now starting to proactively do is work out how
their compositions and such are either not going to include neon as much or the other
Jewelists are gonna start getting a bit more love
It's why we started to see Phoenix even start to get lift up and some of these rosters just because he is a decent attacker
and the the blaze wall is a really solid piece of utility to kind of cut out so
It makes sense to slice the map up like that
But gentle mates off the back of this double jewelist from Murray and Berry X
They have done so much damage the the double controller mindset is a bit more patient
It is a bit more reactive and you you highlighted it earlier Kai
But if you're gentle mates, you've already done the hard part technically if the fact that you're seven and zero right now
now does indicate that there's a possibility to go undefeated for the entire series. And
hey, what better way to secure the top one seeding spot than an undefeated run through
an entire stage before playoffs? I mean, they've been undefeated so far. Why would they be
looking to stop now they they've just proven series after series why they deserve that
top spot and honestly you know I do think it would be an upset obviously if twisted mind
were able to come out with a win here I don't think it's impossible I I do think it's another
strong roster we have a lot of talent right now in stage two so nothing is impossible
I do think twisted minds definitely it's within their wheel has to be able to do it but man
I mean, general mates are just so confident and they've been on a run all stage.
Emphasis on... oh yeah, emphasis on run because keep an eye on Barry X. She doesn't stop moving.
She very much refuses to, and here we go, one final time for anyone that has missed or just
joining us. It's general mates, it's Twisted Minds undefeated run from general mates. And a 5 and 2,
which is looking very solid for Twisted Minds, but as you've highlighted, Kai, a lot of the teams
that are in that kind of quote that top six top five spot. They have very similar wins and losses
here. So in terms of the seeding, in terms of the practice, all to play for to get those seeds
and to get those seeds well, fittingly blossomed, I guess, as we go into pistol.
So is just starting now. This is one of those maps that both of these teams have a lot of
practice on right six times generates applied at this stage winning four of
those times posted already have to good start with that first pick that smokes
down here for it the harder to stall push when you don't have luggage
speaking of again we you're gonna have to be keeping an eye on those Viper walls
and currently as you said Western mines trying to use the double controller as
much as possible but it is just to get themselves onto the base site here the
archers gonna go through immediately turned to hold the link on towards a
and Martin Marty's actually gonna have to jump out a little bit here and
gently it's starting to answer back already despite that first kill and
looking so solid bit of a bloodbath but Grabs has actually managed to survive it
all in her own and a very clean shot out of the smoke was gonna say Marty
looking prized to win that but victory snatched from the jaws of defeat for
twisted minds on the pistol. If you were just watching Grahams that round you'd
think this was like a dominant first pistol round. Yeah, genuinely right. Oh my gosh,
look at her go. Last shot. Nice nice little 4k there from Grahams but those
trades coming back and forth I mean just really shows the caliber that we're
working with and I wouldn't say that was necessarily a hero play by Grahams that
won them the pistol I think there were a lot of trades going on but what a way to
to start off if you're grim. Maybe not so much the rest of the team. But I mean, I think
you have to be feeling that pressure. And if you're twisted minds getting those pistols
on the board, best way to just keep the energy up and keep that momentum going. Amelstack,
not quite right for a gentlemates and twist of mind don't know yet, but this A site is
so free.
Oh, it's there about to I think I they're about to realize exactly how you empty and free this this site is and as the spike goes
As we see Ness try and get online for the nightfall, right?
A big aspect here is Graeam's doing that phenomenal work nearly would have been the ace on the pistol round
But it's for all points to the I will come out and say the weakest ultimate of the server, right?
I mean, yeah from the shadows can do its work, but could you imagine had that been Ness?
You know one off the nightfall so early on could have been incredible
But either way the fights are gonna start coming through and lean the shots not necessarily the cleanest
allows the trade to come through there the firing squad from twisted mates, but
Answering back, but it's not as clean potentially as twisted minds with a light but still more than enough to get the round secure
At least able to pick up that van and bring it in yeah, you know, I think anytime you lose any sort of guns on a by-round
round. Not exactly what you want, especially in terms of that that economy and what you
can bring in. You know, of course, generalmates are going to be buying and now, right? You
know that these are these giants that have been kind of so hard to overcome. And now
there's guns in their hands and you're looking at a sheriff in the hands of grams. That does
that can't do work. I mean, we saw we saw that pistol round two dogs valid, valid that
we did, but they're very much changing the style of the defence. The stack more towards
C on pistol, then we had the full stack on B for the C even now, the full buy. We're
seeing a very split up push, but this control onto mine is really solid. We're already
trying to get this BXI execute again. Well, gentlemen, with the addition of guns, so far

make it a third time. I mean, they're a good team, but I mean, it is worth noting, right?
even I had the pleasure of casting, but this is also the map that they lost pretty heavily.
It was 13-3 since then. I mean, they have one on this map four times, but you have to keep
that on the back of your mind as like, okay, well, maybe they're a little bit of adaptations.
Also, I mean, considering that they're not even running the neon on the side of Twisted
Minds, that changes the entire pace of the game and how your opponents play. So...
Speaking of, speaking of the pace play here, Barry X, beautiful read on towards the door there, and Marty, a little bit more fortunate with the spray,
but either way she does manage to get her second one, and lean, a decent chunk of damage has been done.

them, I do think there's a chance that twisted run will start to sweat just a

side of Twisted Minds. Regular economy pretty pretty good for the side of
Twisted Minds.

idea was that this might be and Lean's gonna find her. Very close to being able to survive,
the spike has just detonated, so the fact that that gun doesn't quite get carried over there is
a big deal and the fact that it's the kill from Lean, right? That's exactly why she's the one
going hunting. One off the showstopper already and hey, while Marty's was incredibly valuable,
you don't get the ultimate every round if that's what Gentlemate's are kind of needing
to convert these rounds and then that momentum then you know there may be something needing a little
bit more here but first time out was good the ultimates were good 3 and 6 is not a non-competitive
scoreline if Twisted Minds though can win three back to back which with the ults currently looking
how they are you know it's you know I know you said Kai it was Twisted that might be sweating but
but general mates equally have a reason right now to just to feel that on their brow
they should
and love this vibra wall for conditioning

sense right? If no one else is swinging you from any other angle, 99 times out of 100, it's because
both players are set up on tree and even that one time out of 100 right? That could have potentially
been a throw by the surviving member if they don't support that, if they're not there to play that
angle. So beautifully set up from gentle meets just better played right there from or beautifully
set up from twisted just better played by Marty. Yeah, I mean, the way Marty was just able to
isolate those fights and knew that she had also her aids online to be able to start tossing to
there. I mean, just kind of unfortunate for the sad or to some minds, I don't think they quite
played that the way they should. I mean, if you're if you're committed to kind of trying to take
that fight you got to take it together wouldn't you have those numbers? That being said I mean
you know I mean if you're twisting minds Dante are you starting to sweat now?
Oh yeah oh the fact that Twisted have the fact that Twisted got that so I think is why we had to
see Marty really pull that out is because the gentlemen are already sweating. Twisted minds are
looking pretty damn comfortable right now with this uh the double controller setup they're really
playing it to its strengths right? I mean Grounds even as well just using the
ultimates from the shadows to even just get the information right? I mean
look at what happened she's posted up all the way back here because the minute
Twisted get onto the A site you use the ult you're immediately joining them
right? You can dedicate one player towards this left side and the same with
Misu you know as soon as she gets on or as soon as Twisted get on the site she
pops up with a steel garden a little bit later and kill a bit more time for
gentlemates' retakes so plenty of great positional awareness from Twisted Minds to be honest and
I can easily see this being enough to convert another two rounds and at that point gentlemates
have will finish the half with gentle four.

I really like this new iteration with their team comp.
They have run Lotus without the neon before and actually during stage two, they had Grahams
actually on the raise and then Lee played that chamber and I think they had a pretty
tough time on defense.
I think they went like two and ten so I think electing to swap over to this vise is an attempt
to maybe give them a little bit better chances going into that defensive path.
They won 13-11, but that's not quite the margin that you'd like to win by.
So I think they're still, like you said, playing with those comps, especially considering the
changes that are going to be coming to Neon.
But then also you can see how the chanchel they're attacking half is going, and I think
if they keep playing like this, not a bad comp coming from them.

okay sometimes it takes them a second or two to get warmed up and that's if anytime the best
moment to strike but with every round that goes by with everything that goes the way of gentle
mates they are becoming more and more alive waking up and looking more and more confident with each
passing time and I hope twisted minds don't get into their own heads that the potential
for winning could already be slipping out of their hands here just to look how gentlemates have
already gotten to the B site as well for free and look who's still lurking look who's still
to ready to greet on the A site it's only a trade a piece of piece but that's one bit of
information and a bit more presence that the gentlemates can now work on.
Like the aggression here taking from gentlemates and I don't know if they're gonna be ready there
for Barry they're not the gun recovered

How they're gonna play this defense?
I mean part of the the problem with changing up your comp so many times you're at a stage is that
You're still kind of working to figure out what works for you
At last time they didn't run the neon
They went like two and ten on the defensive half now. I mean that being said they went 11 rounds of packing so
By by no means was it was it a rough calm?
But if the one are you trading some of your attacking rounds for maybe more rounds of this defensive side
And was it enough especially when you have people like Barry shooting like the way she is
It's it's heartbreaking now for Twisted because they seem to be trying these, they're trying
the same stacked defenses that to be honest weren't working for gentlemen on their on
their defense right, they're trying these kind of stacked fights either towards Mound
or stacked fights towards A and it always seems like it is the attackers right now that
are walking away, the victors, Twisted Minds look just as confident on their attack side
as well and you really have to now give it the the question of course it is Lotus 3 site maps
always do favor the attackers there's just more space that the defenders need to cover but it's
not just a a difference of a percent isle or two it genuinely is going from both of these teams
looked incredible on their attack and now the fact it's gentle mates have to finish off of
especially you gotta remember they want to start on defense this is Twisted Minds map pick and
And Misu wanted to try and show why that was the case, but only going to be so long before
she falls.
And Gentlemate's now looking poised to run away with this.
Yeah, I mean, I think you brought up a great point because while Lotus is pretty attack-ersided,
like you said, any three-stake map, but it's almost like these teams are kind of, they're
struggling with the retakes and then having kind of like a set plan, I think where we
got to see gentlemates shine on their defensive path is when they got a little bit scrappy
when they were able to take space, especially I'm thinking down that rubble. You got to
be careful not to overextend like they did on C long the one time, but if twisted mind
are able to kind of tap into that and kind of play to hold site instead of focusing on
that retake because those retakes are a little weaker for both of these teams. That's always
a lot of saves come out from gentle mates.
Twists and mines don't want to kind of fall into the same pattern.
It's going to be tough, they're pushing into this
sentinel here on A, and the thing about a sentinel site is
it's normally the weaker site as well.
Easy finds one.
A lot of utility being dumped onto her.
She's still alive. She's still alive.
Finally falls, but you really have to give her the credit.
the credit she did as much as possible there, and lost Sarah to get the timing on the wends
and the rest of the squad here, Twisted Minds, those retakes that you highlight are looking
so much cleaner right now, a bit more comfortable here, every angle cleaner, right, the show
is going to be stopped, despite Toki taking Marty out of the air and Grahams to finish
it up, so very solid retake off the back of Twisted Minds, but that more came down to
the positioning and the proactivity from them, and potentially the slowness of it generally
here but again all down to Misu a fantastic hole you can't rely on your sentinel to do this level
of grandeur to hold this well every single time yeah i mean i think Misu did a great job holding
down the side and just kind of slowing them especially with the ultimates invested by
gentle mates and that that gave enough time for the rest of Tulis and mines to rotate over so it
it wasn't a full retake necessarily but yeah I mean that did kind of come down to misu there and
being able to stall and hold long enough. Gotta be able to do that every round if you want to
stall. Good positioning there from Nami but it's not gonna matter Ness is ready. Gonna be a gun again
also. Never heard. I do kind of appreciate the fact that gentlemen it's off the back of misu's
hold alone are giving a site so much more respect and kind of deservedly so I mean it took them too
long to get onto the site the rest of twisted were ready for the retake for the regress so
really look at it I mean yeah you got to push through a viper's wall to even get there then
you have all that sentinel utail but that's enough to scare me too right you invested ultimate
sigamanta site and it didn't quite go in your favor having to pivot here towards just to see
where they kind of find any sort of impact rams with it. I can't believe she did it. I can't believe
she walked away alive. She's walking away far more than with just her life. She's taking other
lives along with her. Sarah though the one two step away onto the same island and add one more
tally onto that pile of corpses. But Grahams what positioning and even though a little bit of panic
clearly showing held firm it's so hard to hit a neon it's so hard to hit a neon
but Graham's is able to do it finds one more for the road and get a really
really great job from twist in mind I loved I love the pivot from Graham's
to okay I found one I found that second one I'm gonna rotate through door I have
someone else holding me from C long we know that we've taken all that space a
we haven't found anything. I found the two on B. Where else could they be? So a great
read there by Twisted Minds. And it's also like the split second decision making that
really makes her practical breaks around.
A very nice, very nice. You don't give yourself credit when you I do my jokes because they're
they're a quantity over quality. That's that's very much where I come from with my humor.

The Overdrives have dealt with Leeds and Grains off the back of it, the trades are one for
one, but in a scenario like this, very, very good work from Twisted, Sarah Nowe, I actually
want to kind of fight her battle on towards the seaside pivots like towards
hall but not a full rotate from twisted mines they are still concerned about this
other site and that could come back to bite them Kai they'll have the vise
ultimate online should they choose to use it but I think that offline now who's
it already
That was just scrappy Valor, I mean that was just a, that was just, we're fighting for

there were times where I thought twisted like had it in the bag there were
times where I thought surely they don't come back and both of these teams
proved me wrong both of these teams had some really good plays but I think we
have to talk about kind of what we're seeing here I mean Marty that the show

He just knows exactly when to pop them and how to find the the most impactful use of them
I'm thinking defensively on on B. I think she's really proactive with it. Of course

in those first bloods it really I think it came down to those post plans though right
because yeah you're down numbers but if you get that spiked down you've all but secured
the round.
It's look I mean hey that's why retake and so I retakes are difficult and it's why post
plan, uh, post plan statistics for a lot of these teams are so high because at that point
it's why defense is considered even just overall and in terms of the scale of valor and a lot
of shooters. Defense is easier. You don't have to move as much. You can just stay still, hold
angles and keep yourself comfortable and attack. It's a bigger and much more different story.
But the story is still being told, actively written as we speak, but the authors need a

So gently it's managing to take map number one and potentially on for the series now
the game. We're going to be
going to the next round. We do
move over the breeze. It was
gentleman's pick. This is a
map that twisted minds haven't
been playing as much. We did
speculate whether that would be
this or the pearl that gets
knocked out. And I mean, to be
fair, it was the weaker of the
two matter the weaker of the
two maps from twisted minds
perspective was removed. But
this is a strong map for
That's true, but then you also have to consider if you're a Twisted Minds, they only played
Breeze once and they played Pearl three times.
Three times and won three times.
So taking your chances here, I mean, I think not too bad and that being considered, right?
I mean, we talk about G2 as the Queens of Breeze, but they have since it's come back into the
map pool, metas have changed.
They've had a little bit of a tougher time than they did previously.
Now again, I mean, and we're not here to talk about G2 is strong team still still know how to work breeze
They still know how to work most maps in the pool, but so do gentle mates
I mean again only have lost four maps the entire stage have lost zero series and have lost zero times here on breeze
It's it's up to twisted minds to to really break everything and you get to see right these compositions are pretty new
from both sides. We've been starting to see the jet get picked up a little bit more. I think people are just really
respecting the verticality that Breeze has. And the jet I'll draft is always just a really good PC utility. Let's face it.
Meanwhile, Gentlemates, there's still one more run at the neon. Bakao as well, another aspect, another agent that really has been finding his feet.
His feet, there we go, finding his feet or footing. I can pick one, but I can't jump over him again.
Yeah, I'd hope so that would be that would be a good start that would be a good start
But I think the bar should be a little bit higher than knowing where your feet are
It's about knowing where your mind is at
Yeah, I mean, you know what what we can see here is I mean just in mind some really kind of committed to this

And I don't think that's a bad thing to necessarily figure out now because we know that that updated patches is coming soon for the series, especially in the playoffs.

So it's like, how are we going to play from there and kind of getting a feel for that in regulation play? Not too bad.
So not not too incredibly upset. That's what I'm seeing coming out from this amount. I like the Viper Harbor. I really do

Or the last time that we seen twisted mines on this map. They'd actually initially went for the Astra
I want to say a gentle mates. They also kind of had a similar thought so the last time we seen them
They were running the after they still are
They were running everything except the only difference being it is swapping out that jet for the neon so very
potentially on the the previous run through with
with jet maybe just not finding the comfort maybe just not as I
Guess tuned in to jets place dial over neons because jet is a proactive agent
But she is nowhere near as proactive as neon you can't afford to take that little bit more of a rest
you can afford to survive those that little bit longer just because you know as long as you've got tailwind you can get out of any scenario
Neon on the other hand it's rare, but we have seen it in this stage
We have seen in previous stages where both the overdrive bar and the the high gear
So her ability to like obviously move around as crazy as crazy as Neon does
Both of those have run out at pivotal moments and both of those have left teams wanting just that little bit more
So it's safety, it's comfort versus potential.
And right now, Twisted have the potential to take a map of Gentlemates.
They have the potential to take a series, but it basically has to be flawless from now on.
I kind of think the difference between that neon and that jet is your ability to get out of situations
and then your ability to get into situations, right?
You have that ability to dash away on that jet, but if you're neon on a map that's so large like this,
you can just rotate so so fast so a little bit of difference in playstyle. I'm excited to see
the neon come out of course here on Breeze from the side of Gentlemates but I'm really just excited
to see how Twisted Minds play on this map because again when you're looking at a map pool of seven
maps and you're only playing five of them at some point you're going to have to play at least one
of them and that point is the day here. It is and especially with the control look at what Gentlemates
have done, an entire mid clear and an elbow unlocked as well for Nami so essentially half
this map is already cleared. You've got Wends as well on the top of the nest so no one can
really come in from the A site anymore and speaking of coming in, Bari X already threw
that window, catching Misu on the chamber on AWares. A potential flawless retake here
for gentlemates if they can just find these last two. Lean stuck on half wall and meanwhile
Ness on the way back side of the corner already been found out by one first kills good second is
absolutely beautiful lean one Ness 2 can we find a three yes we can the shots are solid the shot
darts is not however just believing there's a bit less time on the spike than there was
a Nami four kills to herself stealing what was Graves title all the way back on Lootis's first
I mean, hey, if that's that's any indication of how the rest of the series
Getting here on breeze and gun map three. I'm okay with that. Oh, yeah, I'm okay with that
Nice nice shot. I mean from both of these teams honestly the mechanics that we've seen from
Honestly from both teams have have been kind of incredible to see and just the kind of precision gunplay
a little bit tough here when you're in breeze and you have those long breezy weapons so you
can see that force up coming from twisted it's going to allow them to get onto site and do
a little bit of damage, finds two as well so that site three that Vipro Wash will be popping
up to get them on as well.
I think we can get onto the site as well, but a fourth buy here that may have worked out
for Twisted.
Nice patience, nice work with the oil drone from Toka.
Two players still alive, Sheriff and Bulldog, upgraded from Marty and her hands, but this
is going to be an absolutely brutal retake to one flashpoint.
Marty's actually avoiding it, managed to avoid the drop pull as well from the harbour, so
doesn't immediately get stunned out either, but cannot dodge the Sheriff's shot from Graeams,
cannot dodge the Stinger from Ness, and okay, Twisted answering back with a confident buy,
and more importantly, a confident execute off the back of it.
I love the decision by there, I think Twisted is able to do something with it, and also, I mean,
Breeze is one of those maps that it's so hard when you're on that late, but I mean like
sheriffs I think are okay, but even at a distance they're still not one shot to the
head as 145 and you know if your opponents have full shields that's also tough so really
really really great second round and that makes it a little tough for gentlemates which
should be their bonus here.

up Twosomeine's electing to kind of just take this space min not afraid to take

trying to avoid Breeze and then losing that pistol, I like the way they came back and played
that.
It's very clean stuff from them. I would have to agree and hey, do you know what's nice about the technical break?
We got to check in with them at the start of our video to check in with the crabs
We get out we gotta go and check around and and see a little bit more about the the map that just lives on its own

should be good to go in the next couple of minutes or so but a bit unfortunate if
you're the side of gentle mates of course the timing doesn't quite work out
regardless of who it was that had the the issue shall we say but in a way you've
got to just take what you're given got to play the hand you're delting right now
twisted guy off the back of it you couldn't have been more right I think
they've played they played themselves into a wonderful hand yeah and that is a
a little bit unfortunate for the side of gentlemen's like we said just also given the economy
that wasn't quite in the favor after they lost that second pistol so really really good from
Chris and I'm there I of course if I'm a gentleman's fan though I'm not too concerned
this is the map pick they played it before they won before like he said versus G2 which
which I don't, I mean, I still, I think I still have to consider G2 the Queens of Breeze.
It's got to be tough to take that title away. I don't think a few losses are necessarily
enough for me to concede the crown just yet. But I mean, I think gentlemates definitely
have the potential to bring this back. We saw earlier 67, I think, percent win rate
on their defensive half. So not too bad of a scoreline going into this. And if I think
if Lotus taught us anything, it's that it doesn't even matter what you're looking at
the first couple of rounds, there's still the opportunity to bring that back.
As much as as much as a confidence start in Valorant is nice, it's never enough to win
the rounds. It doesn't matter how solid the, you know, those first 12, those first 11 rounds
are, if you cannot just capitalize, if you cannot convert that into the last two rounds,
it doesn't really matter. And I think Lotus was the prime example of that, Twisted looking
so comfortable, looking so solid on the attack, Gentlemates didn't seem to have much of a
plan and then suddenly on the half switch, everything came crashing down. It looks like
we are back into it. We have got the word that there will be no replay. So we are just
running through as it is so twisted on three gentlemen it's on one round at five
in just a matter of seconds and no role did I say replay I did say replay I
made no role back I did say I got news for you there's no replay I like there's
no replay ever of the round that was just people walking around who would have
thought doesn't really make for much of a replay but no remake the round is going
to go as ahead so that does mean gentlemen it's on this low buy that we
know I currently see.
I'm going to reach out for them going into this I like that kind of aggressive push
out from A especially when you're on those weapons. After that I think that
information look at all the space they've taken they're getting ready for
this B execute. This utility should start to let them know that that's exactly
that's going on.

I mean, yes, okay, it's a lower buy, so it's a little bit more to be expected, but even
still, Twisted was just playing with such confidence right now, and Marty, she hasn't
shown her presence, she hasn't shown her face yet, here, and you can already tell what that means,
you can already see how fast Twisted have looked at each other and realized well if she's not shown
up here, where else can she be? And the double stack on towards the A main, Marty now trying just,
or B main apologies, Marty now just trying to die to the spike but she might be able to get the
timing under Sarah, she doesn't, maybe on the spike swing, who knows, but looks like she'll
be able to die herself to the spike, the rest of Twisted do keep the guns going on, I've never
mind ignore me I managed to jinx it perfectly the timing finally goes through
because of it yeah Marty has to give up her life and more importantly an alt
point to the viper's pit yeah I mean Marty did have to die there and I think
she was hoping that she could just kind of die to spike that's obviously the
most ideal thing to do in that situation but giving up a point to that
Vipers pay only three off and that's in towards round number six. We are gonna just see ourselves
Potentially look at another ask asking another question of gentle mates
Are they going to be sweating here kind because we asked on on Lotus and to be fair the sweat did pay off
Already they look to just basically walk on to the A site
I think there's a manner doing such a good job using the pretty
entry and that's that's what you expect from these high-level teams. I like the push together
there from Gentlemate and a good ultimate coming out. Let's see if it finds any sort of information.

just to surprise Gentlemate's spot. I must say there's one thing you can't really do. It doesn't
She seems like taking gentlemates by surprise, there's one thing I say that, Sarah in the corner manages to pick up a kill without ever being spotted and now whens, she has to do it all with such a little time remaining on the spike, and even if the two remainders are split, even if Sarah and Ness aren't swinging off of each other necessarily, the time it takes, the time that has been killed just too much and with every passing round guy you maybe start to think the gentlemates wanted to go to Pearl.
Yeah, but you know what? We thought something similar at the beginning of Lotus and look
what happened. So I don't think too many rounds have gone by for me to count the teammates
out of making this a 2-0 quite yet. I think that they're a good team. I think that they
at least have regulation practice on this map. I know it's only one series, but that's
still one more series in Twisted Minds have had all stage.
Yeah, I agree not quite the start that maybe gentlemen would have wanted and you have to wonder
with that tech pause we had, did that shake up any of the nerves and kind of the confidence
because going into that tech pause, you had just lost your second pistol and so sitting
and so sitting and kind of letting that adrenaline wear down and then sitting in that feeling
does that have anything to do with it?
I don't know, losing a pistol when you have guns is kind of rough, especially on a map
like this.

that earlier around the DC that did not get rolled back. Gentlemates are just going to have to take
like that on the chin and fight it through. Has Nami found a similar timing? Has Nami
done what Sarah could just find herself doing? Just walk onto the site with no real concern
she has, but Ness is just a bit too fast and she'll still fall at the end of the day.
I mean this was pretty incredible I think from Twisted Minds. I think their ability to position
themselves in order to turn a what was it a 4v2 into a 2v1
Really great positioning and timing from twisted mines
And this time this time not gonna be an equipment this time it's all about the tactics and
Gentle mates timeouts have saved you before you're gonna need to rely on that to bail you out one more time
I mean look what they were able to do on Lotus off the back of some of those timeouts so
not a not a poorly placed one I would have maybe liked it around or so earlier but I
think this is a as good a time as any to invest in the ultimate and you're looking or in that
timeout sorry I got ahead of myself.
I mean you have one two three four you're two orbs away of course from when's again
So you're in a pretty good spot in terms of ultimate economy
You're in a not great spot in terms of regular economy, but you do have weapons this round
So good use of that time out to determine how are we going to play around these ultimates?
How are we going to work the map a little bit and how are we going to make sure that we're securing these sight lines this information set up?
Whatever you got to secure, whether it is those sightlines, those info, we need to play
off of it now.
Four ultimates online as you highlighted, and you could see Marty even try for something
like a crazy null command, just to run in with the KO ult, trying to catch twisted mines
unawares.
It was something that twisted what we're trying to do back on Lotus, but gentlemates
to their credit very much were holding firm on.
Got called out once or twice, but I don't think it ever related into full round conversions
as much as just a couple of good kills that unfortunately Twisted could not then find
themselves converting onto full rounds. So difference of playstyle in potential here.
We've seen what happens whenever the gentlemates are in a lower buy though. When they've got
this much ultimates they will throw out a lot of them and this is by no means a lower
buy. Every piece of utility online including those three ults that Twisted have just walked
onto the site here. They haven't managed to find anyone just yet. Marty gets the first
Swing, lean and hurt, now you just got to swing back and forth, gets the first one, it's all red and the kill feed right now in the Hunter's Fury.
You're not going to be able to find anyone, even off the back, of that information that Marty was giving.
So, a lost ultimate on top of potentially a lost round here, Kai. It's only looking worse for the gentlemates.

had and as the site now kind of gets collapsed onto you, Gentlemates here, yeah, some utility
there but not anything to work themselves out but excellent coverage of the map does
mean that they've broken down at least a decent chunk of this push and they look actually

But it might have been they were still kind of summer working and working things out and now they're kind of ready

especially given the way we've seen them play some of these other maps, but

Initially Lotus look kind of the similar right because they're looking to be confident positions look to be confident placements
But generally it's one answering back to twist and I don't know kind of confident angles and those good positionings this time
It's currently all on the brain of these twisted minds Marty managing to get the spray manages to get followed up by Barry X
2 heads spotted I believe, the first one through the smoke and the second one through the box, the damage has been good.
Getting to the map control here, this time doesn't work out for lane 1.
She cannot walk away with those multi kills every single round.
And speaking of a multi kill, it might be every kill going the way of Gentlemates.

So, bleeding I wouldn't even say has been stopped.

There's still plenty of work for gentle means to even make this competitive let alone potentially steal it away

and that round going live might have been a factor here and it's a tough thing whenever you're presented with a circumstance like that
because you do have to, on one side, of course it's unfortunate that's going to impact you
but you have to as a player somehow find the way to not let that get to you, to somehow find the resolve to steal your way through
and while it may not happen this map, Gentlemates did walk away with Lotus, they do have one map
for something like this to get in their way, to potentially even get in their heads,
I'm not saying that it has, but
Playsdale would certainly reflect something along these lines.
There's a map to get that completely forgotten about,
completely moved onto, and potentially bounced back in Haven and Gentlemates.
Depending on how these next few interactions go,
that might be exactly the mindset they're on.
I don't want to get in that mindset quite yet if I'm a player on Gentlemates, right?

slash line for your controller so I think twisted minds maybe just adding breeze to the repertoire
depending on how the next stage looks. I think they twisted gentlemen's minds that's what I think
happened. I think of course that was an unfortunate round but I agree I don't think that really had
a lasting implication other than the mental which I think was already a little bit chat I think the
bigger thing to turn to was rounds two and three where Twisted Mind were kind of able to turn
around that economy. So yeah, that was rough. I think if anything though, their mental was already
a little bit shot. And then going into that round, they kind of just sat in that with a little bit
of a break. So I think that's kind of the bigger issue here. I think it might have given them maybe
a couple more rounds if their mentality was a little bit better. But I think Twisted Mind's
just looked so, so strong. And talking about Twisted Mind's looking strong, I mean, we have to
talk right about lean on that jet. I'm 19 and 13 is exactly what you want from
your jealous the entry is exactly what you want from your jealous and look
she she really didn't pull any punches like lean was there on on the on the
defense sure but on the attack you know the first blood 30% versus 6% first death
you know she was playing aggro she was playing fast and she was getting that
support from the rest of Twisted Minds and again the rest of the kind of
slash line really does show that everything was playing with support
everything was playing with refrags even the first kills looking a lot more
competitive still from the fact that you know gentlemates got as many as they
did you would think that a couple rounds would follow suit but hey I mean this was
is what it looked like for...

You missed a couple of good maps because we are going to map three for Twisted Mind versus
Gentlemate where on our way to Haven both teams have taken the opponent's map pick.
Twisted Minds have the opportunity to do something that no other team has been able to do this
entire stage and that is to get a win over Gentlemates but they got to do it on Haven.
A map that has been, I think pointed out as kind of the, some people would list this as
the ascent of the current map pool.
people kind of look more towards Lotus, where it's just, it's basically in every line-up.
It's basically on every kind of three, you know, three map for the best of five, whether
it is close to the end, in this case the decider, or it does come up obviously as the first
map there, but both three site maps showing up here does really kind of highlight that
what gentlemates are looking to make work for themselves is their attacking rounds, because
that was what they really came back on with in Lotus, and it was just what they tried
to survive with on breeze that just didn't quite have that same momentum, that same pulling
power coming in. So, hey, even might be the shot.
Well, the last time these two teams actually based, of course, we know that gentlemen's
on no surprise for a team that's on a 15 game win streak. But the last time they did face
this was the map that was in minds were able to take 13 five. So this being the decider,
I mean, I think does kind of tell all now since then, of course
it's been quite a while and we also know that gentle meets have a
Changed around how they play Haven in general for a little bit both teams are now in the stager two and one on this map
So again, it could be anyone's game
I am looking forward to see the adaptations that gentle mates are able to bring in from the last time that they faced off
And also how they're able to kind of shake off that breeze that just went down
I mean look 13 and 4 is a tough score line to survive especially whenever yes
especially from kind of my perspective for both of our perspectives going into
this you know all the way back before we even seen a map number one kind of go
through on Lotus we had that idea of it wouldn't be necessarily two back and
forth it wouldn't necessarily be you know the most ridiculous showing on
breeze we just didn't really expect it to go twisted minds way we really didn't
expect it to be such a showcase of their talent, such a showcase of the capabilities that they do
have, especially considering it was essentially between it and Pearl. Pearl is a scary map,
of course it is, but at the end of the day, we thought that would be the scarier map for them,
and so did Gentlemates. That's why they went, for a reason, it's why that they
lived to maybe regret the tale. I mean, I do think Pearl would have been a scarier map from them.
And we know at this point,
Gentlemates is three and zero for the stage.
We also know that the last time they faced off on Pearl,
Gentlemates did win 13 and eight.
So I do think Breeze was the better call here.
And I think part of Twisted Minds
being able to surprise us is,
well, also they surprised Gentlemates, right?
We know Gentlemates is a team that does their homework.
And they really do.
And you can tell that they practice
and they take that into their next matchup.
And they haven't been able to see Twisted Mind on Breeze
stage no one has and so I was pleasantly surprised I mean I really liked what I
saw coming up from Twisted Mind I thought yeah they might have the
possibility to take it I did not think it would be so incredibly dominant coming
out and I really really liked what I saw coming out from them so I definitely
think this is a map that now other teams have to kind of worry about because
you're looking at Twisted Minds they've now added a sixth map to kind of that
map pool and this is their first 100% map right this is their only 100% map at
this way to be able to pull a map out of nowhere. And if it is the only time you need it, but
it's the pocket sand, it is the map that as you said, you cannot study. There's no there's
no evidence that doesn't exist. There is no one there is no thing that gives you an insight
on the how twisted minds wanted to run that breeze and they ran it really, really well.
I mean, again, a testament to those executes, a testament to the mid rounds and the IGLing
from the side of twisted minds. We just have to see if now going into Haven, can it be done
one more time. We've seen a lot of vise-offs, the lurk-offs from the Sentinels, and looking at the
fact that Wenz and Misu sharing potential Sentinels, waiting for the hover, but those should get locked
in in just a second. The agent composition's not too much of an overall surprise here, Kyle,
things considered. I really like it, and I like that we're not having these merit comps, but I
also think each of these comps kind of play into the strengths that each of these teams have.
So I'm excited to see how they play around that especially given one how Lotus way and Lotus was pretty back and forth
But by the time gentle mates locked in I mean they did lock in
And then I mean also considering how dominant twisted minds were on breeze
I think Haven is again another three-site map
It's another opportunity to kind of showcase what you have and like you said a sense
Well, it's in the current map pool. It's not in the map pool here for our game changes players until playoff
So this is kind of the ascent of the current map will these players have to choose from
You're gonna have to pick one and I very quickly because twisted minds have already been going off of the we don't necessarily
Believe in the neon supremacy even now. Yes, of course the nurse and everything have been announced
But what it does show me is that I like that Sarah's gone for the breach because breach is an initiator that in this day and
Age we believed was kind of dead
We believe for a lot, particularly in this map, on Fracture and everything, okay, sure, much more of an argument to be made,
but to pull out the breach on Haven does kind of just tell me that we want to stun BerryX,
we want to make sure that the movement isn't going to be as, you know,
completely debilitating against us. Now, I would make the argument that Misu seemed pretty happy dealing with BerryX's movement on her own,
but committing an agent to support that to make that life a little bit easier, don't hate it.
Oh, you're right. I mean, if I'm Barry X, I'm looking at me soon, I'm scared, but I'm
I am looking at Sarah on that breach and I am a little scared, especially like you said,
I mean, considering how everything is playing out with the agents. And of course, we know
different patches, agents are changing the meta is changing. And I like that we're kind
of getting this opportunity to kind of feel around with the different agents in the pool.
But I like that twist in mind says has shifted off of this neon right now, because we're
able to see how they're going to play and again I mean I'm not I'm not too surprised because it
doesn't matter you can put lean on anybody and I'm still scared of her so it literally it doesn't
matter what the meta is really and truly I mean I think she's one of the best duelists in the game
right now and she consistently is putting up those numbers and so I think it doesn't matter if she's
on neon she's on ray she's on jet I think she's gonna put in work so I think the fact that you
don't have to fall back on that just because the meta, especially all these other teams
that we've been seeing with the changes, we had Wayley, Yoru early on. So, and that got
nerfed. Now it's Neon. Now that's being nerfed. So I think we have the opportunity for Twisted
Minds to really have Lean shine on that chat.
Let's have a look. Lean has one more moment to fully showcase her talents, to show it,
to be the one to bring Twisted Minds into this.
We've been seeing Sarah, we've been seeing Grimm's
really show up, even Misu, really, really solid
against Berry X there.
Can Lean just continue this performance on the jet?
If she can, I genuinely believe
Gentlemates' chance at a full stage,
unbroken stage win rate, that might be in jeopardy
for them here, so all down to the composition,
but more and more down, these individual players.
I'm looking at lean and I'm looking at berry X. I'm looking at the two kind of frontline and center jewelists
Smarty of course has already proven herself already an MVP for Lotus, but can the rest of the squad
Support her enough to convert and lean. I said keep an eye on her
That's two headshots by the way and a decent chunk of damage done to toka, but she will fall
Some be enough to stall those rotations are coming through but
gentlemen it's now that they can start to rotate over and with that pick from
when's on to me Sue they know that they have an easier time getting a those
rotations are gonna start coming in but twist in mind second to work their way
through mid to just try to catch any kind of lurkers on a late rotation
Worry about Marty here though.
Always a worry. It's always a learn.
She doesn't land the shots, manages to at least get that fixed up.
Manages to adapt, get the kill, but the trade out there does make life a little bit harder.
Ten on me, it's the all three players just comfortably nested up on site,
now me even getting up on towards Heaven as well.
Gonna get smoked up by Grahams, so it is now essentially a two versus two,
but I don't think Kuka has seen both there, only gets one.
ends the Wilma I know that both are there and the Smoke the Dark cover makes life absolutely
simple for gentlemates.

Excellent opening shot here from me and definitely does a little bit more damage as well but
I love the way that Emma were able to pivot quickly and that's really tough.
The numbers came down, they had to retake again and that's something we've kind of been keeping
our eye out from both of these teams has been their retakes and I think that's
gonna come again here on Haven. I think it's a little bit easier to smaller map
and if you have enough utility on board your retake should be a little bit
easier. Again an opening pick from Lean. Look I said I wanted her to show up but I
wasn't expecting her to hear me. Another clean shot. I mean the body shot was
gonna potentially do the damage either way but speaking of damage being
answer back here gentlemates so oh no not like this twisted a heartbreaker for
them would they be able to give this round away because it would honestly be
more of their over aggression than anything gentlemates have necessarily
done here meanwhile on towards garage Nami very very proactive place there one
piece of information a cypher cam set up by Wens doesn't even allow Grames any
positional advantage, any sort of attempt to snap out from the pushers and
gentlemates managed to convert the second despite that very opening, that very clean
opening shot from the namesake.
That's kind of rough for Grahams that have to deal with that one before and
none in the best of position. Another great opening shot though again from

gave them a better opportunity coming into retake. I think it's really hard to
have a post plant on B. I think it's easier to take the site especially when
maybe you're on a lesser buy but those rotations come in so fast so to be able
to get into a good position especially where you know you're able to use it
Well it changed up the progression of Lotus pretty massively, not as much for breeze for
gentlemates but potentially now the moment for either momentum to be maintained if you're
the gentlemates or potentially broken if you are twisted at mines but these both really
really pivotal fights and could all come down to those first bloods that if anything,
Kai are more of a hindrance than a help. The first blood's not seeming to go as
decisively as they typically maybe should.
Definitely not, but it might for gentlemates if they're able to keep this up. Not just one
first blood, but now there's a 5v3. I think that a 5v2.
The split positioning, look at that, like the double up just from Gentleman, it's to really sell that it is a seasight push and suddenly the mini map comes through and there's three of Gentleman, it's just getting the spike planted for free off the back of that one kill, I believe that was onto Ness, just onwards that A site.
Now we're stuck on, we're on a familiar tune that we played back on Lootis, but this time it's Twisted Minds on the save.
Yeah, I think it's tough when you're looking at just your Omen and Cypher utility, trying to do a two week five, especially considering that post plans have been tough this entire day.
I'm also electing to save here. You don't want your economy to get too far away from you.
Tell what can happen when that happens.
Early on breeze with gentle mates, so just in mind electing to save. I don't blame them.
But if I'm twisting minds, I'm thinking how can we get as many rounds as possible on the board now and just stall that plant?
We were able to stall that plant on B
But we have to kind of keep it up because lean first bloods aren't enough to stall any other push
It's just enough to take a little bit of utility off of the side of gentle mates
But once they get down once they get said and get that plant
It's a lot harder for twisted minds to be able to recover from that
I mean, I believe one of, if not the highest, post-plant conversion rates of the entire
circuit of the entire stage.
So it doesn't really surprise me that general mates, they're just playing that for the spike
getting planted for that, that retake scenario because they can play it so well, especially
with the flashes from Marty, any leftover utility from Berry X, any potential setups
with the maybe greedy Cypher utility, but we've seen it work out beforehand.
They are really capitalising off of it. What we are going to do, the technical break, might be a little bit longer than initially thought so, ladies and gents, so I'm going to just cut it through a very, very short break while we get the players back locked and loaded, and when we return, we're in round 5, 4 here, and the third and final map for the series.

because this is it. This is map three of the series, which every team, whichever team wins here will be taking the series due to us and minds have the opportunity to finally put a stop to the undefeated
defeated Gentlemates or will M8 continue in supreme?
Now I will say though, after that first win there on Lotus, I mean, Gentlemates have solidified
their spot in the top two, so they did avoid that knockout round already.
If they win here though, well, I mean, still have to play the top four, but if Gentlemates
win here. They are guaranteed that cap seed spot.
I mean that's the thing right, you could get yourself very comfort up here and Twisted
Mind is trying to go for, just prevent that with another kind of surprise attack. It's
worked on them in the attack with Side Before Hand and the gentlemen have not been prepared
for the pace but this time seems to be a little bit more ready. Everyone just kind of split
up, allowing your Cypher just to sit on the Yonami Misu can comfortably, if she chooses,
twisted want to work with it can run the cypher set up on end and get the stack
more towards the seaside and actually in theory that would have been the call to
work out now but the mid-round the IGL has kind of calm that that's still a bit
more of a presence towards a is needed despite gentle mates patience of
literally just walking up on the seaside but that we're having tension here we go
with that information granted the run it back in through just to clear out the
life which has been done flawlessly that means Twisted Minds set up for a retake.
You're gonna have to wait for those rotations to come on. Not having someone
inserted needs you need a set retake but you have all of your utility in order to do that. Well
not quite really, you've been so pivotable and getting these first bloods here for the side
of Twisted Minds. You don't really have that braggar but that's okay, trade's coming in.
a 2v2 here and you have a good bit of utility to use as well, good positioning from Wends.
Oh she bit, oh my death is suddenly a lot closer to Graeme's.

I held my breath, I fully held my breath going, there's no way Graeme's doesn't see this
but at the same time Valorant can be really awkward with the angles that you can be seen
there so I genuinely thought Graeme's maybe had gotten away with it but that was not a bad showing
from Twisted Minds that was a lower buy from them and it came down to the 1v1 just the teleport a
little bit too optimistic actually. No I think I think the gun just didn't come out in time
is what I think happened I think it was just a timing thing and very swung in time really well

Hunter's Fury coming out to kind of just hold that line.

I struggle when you're kind of 3v2 at this stage is, you're never going to really have

so me too now, one versus three, make it the one versus two, but Marty before I can even
say anything further, she gets the counter swing online, she donates the curve ball of
course for anyone that hasn't played us in a super long time, you get that reject noise
So no economy damage there, but it's twisted manage to get these one or two openers and gentlemen

Hunter's fury though from toka
I mean, you saw two on that line there to just kind of push them off and now again,
just did not quit on the light by they have lean with that operator and could that kind

But Mitsu's timing is good, only has to deal with one, but Marty is more than comfortably
set up ready and awaiting.

And again, Liendas does such a great job at creating a little bit of space for the rest
of the person lines and opening that up as a problem is, gentlemates just have such a
good answer to that.
here. I would take a tactical break as well. You invested a lot of credits into having
that operator online that could have done some damage and did a good job of stalling
for sure. Yes, missed one, but again, didn't miss the second one. You had that aftershock
to stall to you, but when you invest in Ultimate that insanely immediately gets shut down,
It does make it tough. So I think just in minds here kind of need to figure out
I mean, what do you think is a tangible change they can make I
Think the tangibility really is just and it's something I do find myself kind of saying to teams that are on defense
Which is just remind yourself that you're on defense like yes
You can you know get that space take those angles, but at the end of the day the minute you get the first fight you
should never in my in my
opinion from all the Valorant of Watch, it's very rare that with the numbers
advantage, you should be proactive about taking a fight. If you are in a 5 vs 4,
you do not gain near as much value from making it a 5 vs 3 as your opposition
does from equalising. And that is something that I think Twisted Minds
have initially struggled with. I think it's why particularly for this series
we've been seeing the first blood has been so out of sorts or out of what we
typically see right it's been a lot more split up and there's been a lot more of a
of a spread in between them and hey the battle of the sentinels we're right back
on the Lotus but when's the first one to do it and this is the thing she could
just disengage she ops not to takes a huge chunk of damage for it I mean
while Toca's falling
I'm gonna have to cause Wens to back up and regroup with the team my 5 HP does
have the spike though nobody from twisting mines around but again that is
just one little kind of breath onto winds and that spikes in the fall it is
going to start to get planted good use of ultimates to stall though that's
having to stop the the hunter's fury despite that and okay very X good for it
and lean think her position still not been worked out never mind now he's
holding it down, holding it firm on Twisted Minds, Kai. They really do look twisted out of sorts.
I think Gentlemates definitely will have an easier time here on their attacking half. They
have a good comp to do that. They have good utility. I like the Devil Duelist, especially with that
secondary Phoenix, but I also think that means it's kind of on Twisted Mind to get as many rounds
here as they can because if gentle mates can have such a build up here it's going to be really tough
even though yeah like Twisted Minds might be set up for a good attacking half they really will not
have them rounds to lose as they might have got good dart a lot of damage but that's not going
to be enough for Bariacta Paul. Instead she trades instead she's the one that takes out Leen and
Aw, days now, Jeff, and now, Twisted Mind's really struggling here, stuck between a Marty and a hard place.
They're gonna be able to survive and run it back, but the information alone granted here is very pivotal.
Meanwhile, now the front and the shadows onto this back corner does get stuck.
Mitsu uses the cage beautifully to cut off the visual contact.
They're managed to get comfortable in the corner to take out one, but it's gonna be a one and done scenario here.
But something has been made to work.
Barry Xen took a 55 HP combined, so basically one bullet bot.
If your HP values like that, doesn't matter how much it is, as long as it's not 0.
And Nami, currently being the hero right now, cleans it up on towards Garage.
Gentlemates, currently look just unstoppable.
I mean, it's really unfortunate for just in mind that they weren't able to find Barry Xen there.
It was.
Just 12 HP, but again, you have that Neon that can just dash it straight through their own Phoenix while, uh, find...
Well, only find one, but did a lot of damage, a lot of spray damage to a second, and then had good positioning there, and see after that spike went down.
If you're twisted, you really can't afford to make any more mistakes here.
Oh dear. Oh, the fact that the first shot goes the way of Toka makes me feel that at least one more mistake has been made.
Sarah good answer back, but Garage is still being held a little bit too fast on the regress from twisted
Meesoo beautiful timing with Wens catches her when she's falling so that that airborne accuracy

Ness still struggling just to get on the site, but she's dealt with the hard one.
She's dealt with the tougher kill, but Marty is just still that bit faster.
9-1 here, looking pretty, pretty tough here for Twisted Minds.
Not quite able to convert off of that timeout the way they would have liked.
I think part of it too is, like you said, I mean one, yeah, you're able to get the first
Bloods a couple times, but you allow them to equalize too.
When Gentlemates gets the first Bloods, you're not able to trade out, so it's kind of like
almost like a lose lose there. If you kind of just look at numbers like that and you continue to let it go that way.
I think I'd like to see maybe a really aggressive set play here from Twist. They haven't had a lot of,
I mean they really haven't had a lot of luck just stalling the plant. They've been traded out.
But if they can get aggressive and if they don't go there, have a good flank even coming
through.
As long as it's not on the A side, because they did try to set play on A and it did not
work out.
Yeah, no, A did not work out for them, unfortunately.
You gotta consider the Bari X factor.

They now have to even consider this garage angle.
They have to believe that Marty's still in there.
Of course, she's not.
The space has now been given up fully because in a 4 versus 2,
as long as all angles are held on the site,
which as you can see, gentlemen, it's precisely doing that.
Wens going for a swing, does play out in her favour.
And Sarah now basically just has to wait for the spike to tick down.
Maybe hope for one.
But I'm going to start hunting for that.
And it's going to be Marty to find that.
But another step towards Marty's ultimate last round in the half

I think that round also did a good job of showcasing.

The one x-ray from the Neural 5th, it is that x-factor, a flawless from Gentleman, it's
the roughest of acquaintances, 11 and 1 is the finisher on their attack half.

This is it. This is the last half of this series here for Toast in Mind versus Gentlemates
and Gentlemates showing why they're unstoppable, why they're undefeated, and why they deserve
to be on top. 11-1 here at the first half. It is an uphill battle now for Toast in Mind's
stand up. I mean, uphill, the
hill is, if anything, it's
growing. There's rocks falling
down on you, boulders
potentially, avalanches are
potentially speeding down at
you at high speeds and yet it's
really tough. Now, is it
impossible? No, but before we
even dream of such potential
comebacks happening, twisted
after put their best foot
forward one more step forward
and convert a pistol round that
they have done before
previously. Just the question
of if they can do it one more time. But with the set play, the gentleman's already looked
to have crept with the stuns, with the flashes, with everything here. Looks like it's going
to be a dogfight in towards mid, and it's evenly enough, it's going through even, but
the curveball from Marty A. Collateral puts down Sarah and Visuda Lou HP, which she will
comfortably finish off. And this could be the beginning of the end, I believe, Kai.
James not sure where she can really hide even gentle mates believing they find her and Marty with a 3k
Already halfway on towards the run it back, and I don't think gentle mates are gonna have to run many more rounds at all

Yeah, I mean what a master class we just saw from gentlemates that is the gentleman
So I think
Everyone has in the back of their mind when they're thinking what this team has to offer and how they can show out
Twisted minds are a good team. We know that but gentlemates are just so so incredibly locked in
They know how to play and we said it before they do their homework. They lost to twisted minds on Haven once
They're not gonna let that slide again
Not even close if anything
They're not letting it slide because they don't run a neon but
Who they run is a deadly deadly jet and Marty takes up her second MVP of the series
Here for gentle is the only time she doesn't pick it up is the one time she can't physically do it
And if I look at those stats there, I mean 16-5 and 5, that's over 4k DA. The ACS is good,
but I really want to point out 100% kill participation, first blood, 14% of the time, and never lost
that first fight at all. That is a statement you literally could not play Valorant better.
Yeah, I mean you have numbers like this and we said before, you don't want to leave anyone
online or the rounds not over, but you definitely don't want to leave Marty online. And that's
tough when you can't win those opening duels. I mean, Marty, just a master class. Look at
these numbers. I mean, this is a little bit more close, right? This is this is what we
were hoping more inching closer towards those first kills being indicative of what's going
to happen. Three for the side of just in mind. So we saw a couple rounds where we got that
first blood and they couldn't convert. But really, I mean, gentlemates just showing post
only losing one. I mean, really, they only last one map and or one round in general. So not much to even talk about here. Just a truly a masterclass here from gentlemen.
It's a big thing now because yes, we can just continuously say gentle mates are flawless. And if we said enough, maybe that statement will lose its meaning or lose its impact. I don't think it will for some time.

That does make their chances in the standings just that little bit higher.
Gives them a shot at that top two seed because while they're probably at the

So the series doesn't go their way, it is a shame,
but the map win, not being two-zeroed,
is still a big factor.

I think the fact that we saw a Breeze come out
is a huge factor.
You know, I think it's great that we got to see this map
that hasn't been in their pool all stage,
and they looked pretty, pretty strong in it.
So if I'm any other team, I'm doing my homework there
on Breeze because I know that that's something
that's now a possibility and can be in that pool,
especially when we go to playoffs, but you're right.
I mean, we talk about those different stages
in the playoffs.
Gentleman's just secured their top seed.
They have to feel good.
We already knew that they avoided that knockout stage,
but now just securing that top seed position,
being undefeated here, what are they, eight and zero now?
I mean, that is a statement coming off of stage one
as the champions.
I mean, it doesn't get better than that.
But yeah, when we're looking at this kind of two,
well, I'll say two through five right now,
still waiting to see that last 16 but look five wins across the board. Of course SK still has one
more series to play to kind of put them at the five and three or six and two but yeah a really
really close to differential not too far behind either so yeah I mean there's a lot of variability
but there's not variability when we're talking about the queens at the top and that still continues
to be gentlemen. One more series to potentially nine and zero to just walk away with a stage.
One of the biggest statements is the game changers at EMEA has ever seen. So hey,
good luck to them from a non bias standpoint. And for everyone else, good luck taking them down
because you might need it. But that's for another day. Gentle mates has been and gone

I'm doing. I'm good. Yeah, I'm very excited for today's game. I can't wait to cast over you again. I enjoy a lot. Um, alright, so you've got two games left of main event. How are you feeling with your first main event run?
event run. I mean, I'm very proud of our first run. I went into it with not too high expectations.
So I was just trying to play every game, like, and do my best and make sure I'm having fun
and make sure the team's having fun. And I think we with the case of game one, we weren't
expecting animals. So that was it was really exciting. But then some games we were feeling
bit more hopeful towards and should go the way we wanted. So it's been it's been a bit up and
down but it's been very exciting. I mean, I wouldn't like KC is a massive highlight, right? And
that's actually because of that win. If you win today against Bartha, you still have a chance to
make playoffs, which is incredible. But Bartha did beat you in the March cash cup. So what's the
the plan today to turn that around and beat them?
I think we just need to try and play our own game and focus on
playing to win and not focus on not making mistakes because at
the end of the day, you need to do stuff to win. You can't sit
back and watch the game like you do something. So that's
exactly what we'll be focusing on.
That sounds really good. And obviously, you know, best luck
for that game. It's gonna be a very exciting one ahead of that game. Is there anything
you'd like to say to the viewers watching and to Bartha ahead of the game?
Yeah, I mean, we're definitely not going to make it easy for them. We want this playoffs. We're
going to do our best. So yeah, if they're not ready, they're going to lose. Oh, there we go.

Molly making playoffs. What does that mean to you in the team?
I think with our expectations being so long, it would be insane and it would make me so proud as a leader. And

I mean I'm very much a subscriber to the belief you know if you come in with low expectations
you are either right or you're pleasantly surprised but I think I've got a lot of faith
coming into this match for them as well. Let's take a little bit of a look at head to head
though. Two players that we'd really like to highlight that we think are going to be really
pivotal in this match. So you know if there's only two players you watch this whole match
it'll be these two and it's going Marley versus Devalasa coming into this. Now very similar
a lot of fronts here. Um
seems like two sides of the
same coin a little bit. Yeah
definitely the suit like we're
looking at the same stats here.
We're looking at very similar,
but Mali has been outperforming
her role recently. So these
mat these stats are specifically
from their matchup against KC.
I thought that'd be a great place
to compare them against as
obviously they both beat KC there
and you can see here, Mali in
the idea in the agile role has
just absolutely popped off and
looks incredible. But you can
the game. It's been incredible,
but these teams have also
faced up relatively recently
as well. But they have now
those of you that fans of the
game changer circuit will know
that there have been cash cups
that they have played in and
actually played versus each
other. Now it was. We will put
the cafe on this two months ago
around almost to the day

not going to be able to do that.

on the edge of my seat at that,

were played here and you'll
notice that one of them won't
What have we gone? What have we improved on enough that we can now beat Bartha without a base in the map pool?
And I mean their bind has looked pretty good and we've you know, like it's
It's it's better than it was before and so far we've not seen that from Bartha whatsoever
So there's definitely a potential here for a bind surprise with focus coming on with their new comp
Obviously this cash cup game was back in the Euro meta. This was before the nerfs. So we've had map pool change
We've had agent changes a lot has changed since the cash cup
But I think this shows just that previous matchup. How exciting this game is going to be
Yeah, for sure
And I think maybe another metric that we can look at because we're very lucky with this game that we've got lots of little bits
That we can draw from to make these predictions to put together the puzzle well before even reach the table
So we can look at when they both played each other versus Zenit potentially
I think I've just heard that map veto is ready. That takes priority because you know us live in the veto
Loka up in here. Let's take a look at the maps. They're going to be playing and we'll see if there's much overlap here
They'll be going to haven't breeze and Lotus and I think that's quite exciting because we've got new maps for these teams playing against each other
now
I mean Haven makes a lot of sense to focus to pick into it's still a very strong map for Bartha
they've played it an awful lot, but they haven't looked as good on it as they have historically.
But really, neither of these two teams in this stage has looked as good as they have in promotion
relegation in the cash cups because they've both struggled a little bit there. But when we go over
to Breeze, that is where I cannot wait for the fight. We're going to be seeing the mechanics
shining. We've got chamber for the side of focus. We've got harbour for the side of Bartha,
completely different compositions
and it's going to all come down to
who shoots better on that map. Lotus
is
I think a very, very interesting
matchup because both of these teams
play
they look even there and the compositions they play
I think are going to be very balanced
against each other on both sides
if we go to a map 3
which I expect we will, I think we're going for overtime again.

I quite like is that both of these teams have a lot of overlap on very similar maps. Yeah,
and I think there was a couple of moments where we could have seen some really punishing picks
coming on through. I think, you know, split for instance would have been a quite exciting,
you know, little jab in there. But I think they're both kind of playing and there's a sort of
middle ground the whole way. So I think it right. I think we'll be seeing that third map. And if it
goes through, I mean, that's completely up in the air. If you're looking at stats alone, which I know
know, you're a big fan of, you know, we see focus occur, shining a little bit more there.
If we're looking just vibes alone, how these teams have played versus, you know, opponents
they've both gone up against, I think you're right over time, very much in the cards there.
But let's focus in on this first map because this is where it's all going to matter. Addy
versus Muori is a doorless matchup for the ages on this neon. Obviously, neon nerfs aren't
through yet. We've got the fully strong neon here right now, and both of these players
Shine so hard on this agent. They are able to utilize the mechanics perfectly and the fact that we've got a pure mirror matchup
It was expected realistically between these two teams. Yeah, they both like this kind of Gen G style comp
What I'm really really hoping to see especially on the attack side from Bartha is proper
Utilization of me already on the neon and Annie's stall potential. That's what I want to see
you know, I think that's a
really important part of the
game. You know, I think it's
really, really, really, really,
being able to just rush in, get
the site and use any in the
post one because Annie. Was
probably the best player for
Bartha in the cash cup. I think
the entire time she was top
rated for them, but that was on
your room. Now she's on this
lurking role. She looks so much
better when she's in the pack
than when she's lurking. So I
That's something that we really want to see in this series because that's maybe not something
we praise these teams for above some of the other teams in the league.
I think that individually, if you look at the stats, if you saw by pretty much any metric,
stars up there quite often, but it's not really a battle for first place in anything individual.
It's a lot more of this cohesive coming together that is where they shine.
So putting them on a map library is going to be exciting, but Haven being this first
map, a little bit of a warm-up, we see them both play this, they're both fairly comfortable
on this map with, you know, quite a lot of repetition on it, not being the world's greatest
win rate for Barthub. But then again, if you look at some of the opponents that they've
had, they've had some really rough games. And to be honest with you, I think they've
still got a couple to go. But we'll see. I think the biggest thing for me here for focus
is everyone knows they've been struggling against 80. And it's been their most difficult
opponent this entire year so far. I mean, historically between New Yorkers as well,
it focus hasn't beaten ATN in three years. And Haven was one of those losses that Focus took
in the LAN for Project Queens. They lost 36 here. And that to me really brings about,
we need to see a bounce back. We need to see a sudden improvement from Focus. What have they
done since they've gotten back from Germany for most of them to get better at this map,
to prepare themselves for this map, and to beat Bartha to have a chance of making it into that playoff.
I think you're right, playing on LAN as well, almost anyone will tell you the synergy that builds up,
so I want to see them riding in high, even though it wasn't maybe the result they wanted,
I want to see them riding high, and I want to see it starting here in the pistol round.
You can see immediately, Strahler, having a little bit of a nosey, pushing up towards the doors,
but it's over towards the long, that we see the initial pushes coming on out,
all secured, and that is mission accomplished.
Yeah, leave Toki there as an insert and then push towards Beaver. This is where folks are going on their defense.
Oh, they pushed it the orb swing on out. Addy gets both of them.
Miori does find someone if her pick brings it back. The hoppy way frantically back to them.
Strollen thinks that she's out of the woods. Thinks she's safe. Absolutely not.
Addy's still swinging from over. The slide on out. She finds the fall and it's the ace to kick us off in round number one.
How else could this match start than with an ace from Addy?
Incredible work, 5-0 on the Neon, looked unstoppable in mid.
And then she rotated towards him, look at these shots, great work with the team.
Immediately sends Lider down to the grave, slides showing off the Neon mechanics and
she gets that ace.
She's even fully blind, the paranoia is there, it doesn't even phase her!
She is just so good, so calm under that pressure, and now she's got the Vandal full shields on the defense over towards C, but that's not where Barthier are looking.
They're pushing up towards Sua, using the Viper all to its fullest extent.
There was some damage done to Miori, she's low!

There it is, Mali there on the bull tour gets the first immediately drone back out to go clear through on give a little bit

in. Poor Tebalasa. But now we refocus our attention. Look how far Major is pushed on

out and Paranoia goes out just to force her away, but Starr's still on the angled depth,
Lightest Wings on out, Addy finds another but look, they're not giving them the space,
they've got the spike down and they are pushing further and further and put a second round
on the board.
Yeah, and that is around your happy withers focus. It's exactly what you wanted. You
open up with the Shocked Art Miley, then following up with the damage and one by one
bar from all to the floor. Addy only got one kill, sure, the slide didn't work out for
this time but a vandal saved it's given back to her full shields as well they're
really letting this star duelist shine for Bartha though they've got the guns
they're trying to slowly build up towards their own ultimates but it's gonna be a
while before they're online as they poke and prod towards mid and garage
Drones go on in, being followed on in. Struggler spotted. Alombott's gonna go on off. That's gonna force them just to wait a second.
Goes up and he's gonna be in a world of trouble. There's players on both sides but doesn't even need that second piece of the puzzle. Addy's got it in one and there's the Peer away. Not giving them the chance to trade.
Yeah, but actually, Bartholomew, they want to re-clear back towards A here.
You can see the spikes moving as well.
No Sovadrone, Felida, so she's got to use this recon.
Oh, and it only clears close. Star's watching the line already.
Addy's already rotating.
Oh, he tries to slide under the radar. He's going to get spotted out.
However, there's the first smoke comes out. Peel back.
Just make it slowly more uncomfortable as you take each piece off the board.

Veliko's pushed all the way up C if you head towards B that's where
Strahlin's shone before she's got a utility there too to take away all of
your health not really much chance for Bartha are they gonna push towards B
they are but Strahlin's gonna be ready

that's hard spotting Strahlin's even moving in for a little bit for yentify
turret gets taken down there's the nano swarms and smugglers are just to buy them
the space to push on in here, but it can't get too far just yet, Stralan, not wanting
to give them any space to work is already back site there, not going to stop the plant
going down spots at first, and there it is, the headshot on out there, destroying the
utility, not going to work though, Lighter's there, Addy needs to find something, put up
on the corner, and now smoked on off, there's nothing she can do, flanked from behind, and
there we go, third round on the board, almost flawless as well.
Yeah, the bonus for focus is so important in here
Sets them up on their defensive side and you can see why they picked this map
Barthas gonna be down to when he can't they're gonna be down in the dumps mentally as well
Losing out on a focus in that kind of situation where you just lose your ones one by one
It's draining. It's painful
Whereas for focus they are they are flying high right now. They are so happy
setting up over towards C. It looks like Barthol want to go for that C push at the very least towards Garage to start with.
I'm imagining this is going to be a C crunch, so it's all going to be down to Addy and Nidbleyko. How can they handle this?
I have to see if they're going to get tested immediately. Recon time doesn't matter. Yeah, you can know where I am.
It doesn't change a thing. Stroll and Addy both find picks, and that is immediately the player advantage,
not only taken away but turned on its head and he pushed up there and he far adi not
way far across there in the right place there strad and looking just to stop this
slipping too far out of control Aranoi goes on out by some a little bit of
buffer as the smoke played shots up on the angle swung out by the first that turn runs
out of bullets devil ass is gonna get the second here just Mali but it's a one
versus two as of right now unknown entity swing on round the corner it
planted back site so not gonna get the easy pick on the planter there's the
first swing on out and they will get the thrifty and that is a great way to
start turning the tides once again they had no guns I think it was just the
spectre here from your league and that snowballed forward

either and focus I mean you really wanted to win that out sure but now
Now you've got the off-on-line for Addy, overdrive as well to back it up.
Shining lights are really starting to come on, Lighter's Hunter's Fury here could be
big, could be savey for Strahlin's lockdown, yes, but also could do a lot of damage on
the attack side with it.
And there's the swing on out the shorty again using players as human decoys human flashbangs and now the op needs to work miracles
Can't be too optimistic though because the moment you peek on out there watching for this

Lighter's gonna swing that's the distraction they need and I think that's the cool

I love the combo that piece of lighter with that hunter's fury and the murry sliding on it with it, right?
It's a really nice little piece to
Distract and make sure that you get to the site in the first place because you know if the operator isn't there
Which they figured it wasn't because there was no noise early the op wasn't on that early line

it's so hard to retake back into it and now, yeah, focus down to a pretty low buy. Bucky

but as the orb goes out, the chance to reposition, she's not going to, but it's that doubt constantly.

up almost there for Mali, and they're going to have to use these ultimates if they want
to try and snowball this back, if they want to try and take the lead back.

that they started with on this defense, right?
did so well. I think another thing that's important to look at is focus have a near 70% win rate on
their defence side on this map. So this is a weak start, that is their weaker side dealt with,
and that gives both of the mental to know that going into that second half, it's going to be
easier, it's going to be smoother, and you have bought yourself every advantage. I like the idea
of trying to fix this early. You've got to because at the end of the day, I think this team is also
a very momentum based team. They rely a lot on the energy and the hype and I imagine Addy
getting that ace in the first round brought the hype up, brought the energy up for the whole team
and then that snowballed into the next round. They got the bonus as well.
But a couple of miss shots go awry and all of a sudden Basa managed to come back and it's even.
That momentum, the energy, the hype that they had as a team is gone, decimated.
And now they have a gun. Well, they have guns. Sorry. They haven't got fall by they have some ultimates
This is a big the most important round of this half so far. They have to win this. I want to see strong
I'm not gonna use I want to see them working together. Their fundamentals have been a little bit off today

Barca was raring to push up Toki at the charge, keeping him ahead of him at the start of it.
While he's unaware that everybody else was there and ready, and Addy's perfect stun

Okay, caught onto the suppressed player, didn't really matter in the end, but if Star was
there a little bit earlier to join in, Barca would have fallen even quicker, even smoother.
And now their own timeout coming through it feels like we've only been in this game for five minutes

Star, however, elsewhere is gonna find the first and immediately peel back, something great about focus, never sticking around, never giving the chance for a trade.

It feels like focus has got a full read on what Buster is trying to do.
these little inserts they push up every single time they take space they leave
someone there to control it but as we can see here that leaves them vulnerable
to 1v1s to stars awareness of their positioning but she can just take them
down in her bar stuff an ultimate round of the half eco round but they have so
many ultimates they've got them in abundance and they've only got two
rounds to deal with them talking and dealing with me all we goes down so
quickly and stars are done they've been so passive usually they get a pick and pick away
but now not this time they're going hunting and they've got a player advantage here as
well and they have kept them off of this A site.
Spikes pick back up again and all of focus is converging towards A. Barses cut noise.
The killjoy utility towards garage has got to have gone down but I imagine the alarm
bot stop so they know they're not be and focus does the contact re-clear
towards long they're gonna have to try and spot them out but I think boss is
watching it light is there
I find out if patient is in fact a virtue first kill pays off spot at the second
both eyes turn that way and there's Marley back turn she will house and
finds both and they lie in wait but Bartha they are still not allowed to get
even remotely close to this A site.

I like the idea from Focus to try and surprise Barca but they were already aware they know
Focus like to contact Reclare everywhere and it all came down to that.
Marley swinging down long taking them out and now the final round of the half Alts are
plenty for everyone. It's going to come down to this, and ho ho ho, and a woman up from
Toki into spawn. It's being checked over the last few hours watching for it.
Oh, maybe, she has an idea, she's going to clear, but Toki's already waiting. Paranoia
around the corner, a lot invested just to get this one pick. All of the messy spray, luckily
doesn't find it. Overdrive pop, judge around the corner, thinks she's got it on the first
dozen, goes back for seconds and will find the pick. Nida also falls, Addy pushing on
forward got the confidence building and that's the spike down in their grasp
does get traded on out there by Scarlet Devil after that spike is so far
removed and just burying away will be taken down and that's an 8-4 lead for
focus going into the second half

I don't think I can state the importance of this pistol round enough here and we're looking
eyes towards Addy potentially to be the star here.
It was so important in the first half it led to that streak of three and now Addy's immediately
pushing towards long light as dark does spot her and the rest of the team is rushing towards a but
actually focus they don't care the spikes not here they get the orb on to adi and they back off
just a classic in hand and while given how the first place around when i think that we were hoping
we'd see that sheriff come back out star's gonna deal with the turret show some presence towards
long but again not overplay in their hand bastard's content reclaiming a though they know that it's
not there they know there's no inserts this far aggressive so they're moving
over towards C and this is exactly where focus looks like they're gonna be
hitting are they gonna be ready to push him to this site actually wait bosses
pause their rotates it's only devil arsa here no power nor from toky either
information to feel comfortable rotating devil arsa is being so heavily
pressured able to get some good damage off but ultimately falls and he talks on
in isn't cleared initially but still stars gonna find it before she can take
anybody down. Strollen's pushed so far up there Lider will dispatch and accuse them
that little bit of a crevice down long to try climb back into this.
Sophie and the smoke gets won by one but there it is again they just can't get
these kills across the line they can't find the finishing damage and now just
Lider they know where she is so now all focus is on her. Mali is the chosen
soldiers sent to dispatch of her and that's the round over and done with
them focus just extending that lead further pushing forwards to victory
pushing forward to win at that map pick I'm gonna be very interested to see what
thereby is here they got the spike down I imagine they're gonna be at go for the
kind of semi FPX old by where you buy up a couple of rifles save two of the
pistols from the previous round this means their bonus should be just as
strong as it was in the first half and that's without the ace coming through
from Addy but Bartha two Buckeys on A and I'll be careful if we do see focus
push over there but for now they're just poking a little bit of utility trying to
find some spaces Bartha's pushing up mid.
Toki again paranoia fully invested just to find one pick but it's not even gonna
be her that gets it it's elsewhere and over towards C keep on crawling forward
Addy leading the charge the tip of the spear pushing slowly on to site their wall up or
falls down and now Addy has to be ready and that is as cold a shot as you will ever see
toky clear on in towards garage it's just a classic in hand but i'll get the job done there
start throwing the phantom at this and it's not gonna matter the pistols range to bring
the shock to however that's gonna be the final blow spikes gone on down and now it's just the
for two buckies and I was gonna say if they don't go away it's gonna be a bit of a problem
trying to get the neon involved in the conversation and both players will fall and skewers a tenth
round.
Incredible as well to survive with three players remaining that's exactly what they needed
with their FBX style buy in that second round of the half and now their bonus is gonna be
so powerful.
We should see Star dropping Strahlen here.
They've got the full rifles across the board.
I imagine we will, but regardless, they've now got their buy up and we saw them struggle
in the previous half against the bonus of focus when it was good. They need this round.
This is so important for them to be able to have anywhere to stand in their defence.
Here we go, Lido, Rikobo is going on out there, but Adzi is already further ahead, but they're
not going to push the issue full back a little bit. Lido, Cleo through, Sue is not going
spot anybody so for now everything's they said but look at the rotates they've
already bought any on over I'm expecting start put some pressure towards
C long trump drag the rotates back out again but actually focus is going in
they are and here it is the first coming on through first player taken down and
he swings on out from backside and each individual player finds their individual
frag and now I mean you're looking at a two versus five spike is in their midst
and just spray through the smoke get lucky hope that they're a little bit
closer hoping that they're pushing to try retrieve it
star smoke goes out for heaven but that's not gonna matter there's so many
crossfires established here. Snakebites gonna find Lighter a little bit of an
unfortunate one but it's instantly recovered there and you know exactly
where she was pushing from, Nidoviko, around the corner.

I would be wary if I was focused pushing into that anchor because that triangle was lethal almost
impossible to break through and I show utility is spot on and that's what we're going to see from
focus now is using this utility to get this round otherwise you're down to an eco. Oh the
pace to meori has unfortunately a little bit too quick focus won't even allow to step foot in towards
main. So she's ahead of the curve a little bit there but they've immediately
pilled back change her plan. Head, C instead trying to clear out this new
till. Didn't get the turret on the initial there but back out.
Haranoia swing on out there. There's so much U2 littering the ground.
The floor is lava. More than it is just a site take at that point.
The road hits ahead in time though. They are ready.
Spike does go down, but the road take can come through pretty quickly.
There are being held to play around this corner, and other smoke comes on out,
but they're already ahead of it. The swing on out, and he finds the first air.

Hunters very invested from long range, and it's such a tight corner that they're in.
The death falls back. It's so much to a potential strahler fighting for a life,
but taken down by Toki. Drone goes on out, just trying to keep an eye,
stop them diffusing. Niroviko needs to be a stepping up here,
needs to find something and they do both find an individual piece and that is just Lider alone here
Rikon Dark goes on out she's out in the open Marley finds it and there is the 11th
rough for a second there for focus as Basel looked like that retake was on for it but
those last minute situations the drone allowing the player in garage to get in on the fight as
well they missed their shots to start with yes i mean star dying there is rough that's the start
of the end for focus potentially but they managed to stabilize nid veliko and marley
working in camp from so far apart that is the fundamentals the teamwork that we need to see
from focus to close this out to take your debris and try and win out there as well to stop this
going to lotus because we know that's going to be basically a coin flip and in this time out now
barsa how are you going to come back in because the money is looking okay it's not great we're
We're going to see one kind of sheriff by here, most likely.
And the ults are only just coming online for both teams.
As we saw Marley's using the previous round, light is close to hers.
Great effect in the previous half, but that's pretty much it.
Unless we see toky going for another crazy teleport, which.
Yeah.
I think that was one of the issues though, with it being such a strong half left
focus and them winning the pistol and the conversion is that there's not many
rounds left potentially to even build up those ultimate.
So, you know, Bazaar, they're fighting for the chance to use them now, but time out over back into the action.
We go, Toki just on that share sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's going to be difficult for her to find the value, but she's been very good with it in previous matches.
But they're going her way the same set play from before and it doesn't work.
Folks avoid all of that utility again.
The paranoid is gone for the retake.
Same issue as the previous round and focus is now just going towards B.
I can love the idea of the play and it gives them so much space but they've not been fighting any initial value off of it and look, funnel them in towards B, they've got the site already, wall goes up, that's going to block off Toki.
And I'll be waiting here on the regal.
I'll have Lassar on the other side of things and when the smoke bades a battle of reactions,
that's what it's going to come down to.
And there it is, Addy Winsor on out, a small adjustment to be made, but it's these miniscule
moments that matter.
Toki has much to find something, but there it is, Guns not in hand there, Lyda, Addy
two for one, but they're not letting this round go.
Focus, there's still a chance.

Smoke to come on out, just adds this element of mystery, element of fear there, and Nidh-Veco just forced to swing on out, forced to keep spraying, and they pounce on that moment of weakness.
Great work from Barca in the end of that round to secure it.
It's the kind of round that we can see Nidh-Veco clutching out. I was ready to see the Red Bull clutch shining up on our screens, but...

This Barca roster comes from a few different teams in the previous year, but they've now spent a lot of time together.
They've now built up those fundamentals and they've pushed focus down to an eco.

No big set play potentially, unless we see Lidah's ultimate, I think we're going to see the server over here towards A main.
I see there's a very real chance.
Paranoia comes on out. Addy immediately pops the Overdrive even whilst blind there.
Hoki pushing on forward here, taking this space, gets one, gets two as well, and that's Spike dropped as well.
Miuri's tucked into a lovely position here just to punish this, and they are just gonna hold them on site.

And back turn, they're so unsuspecting, Miuri peeks out for both, and it's a cold, clean round for Bartha.
Hoki took advantage of the chaos in aim lobby perfectly.
straight in there to get those kills get on out and secure the round for her
team and now Mjöri's got the operator on line, Barca's really looking to snowball
these two rounds into an 8, 9, 10 maybe trying to get towards that tie and they've
got three ultimates for it. Star's ult towards the back of site for focus was
nice there it drew some attention but the chaos was just where Toki, Sean and
now, Miori's in the perfect line. Oh, the smoke timing was perfect. That was brilliant.
Back to the end. Gonna fire her for shot anyway. Let's them know what's up.
Toki immediately the paranoia there. If you had any thoughts about peeking through this
smoke, you're gonna have to think twice. It's once that somebody's already managed to peek
on how Addy is forcing the issue here. The TP out of the way, not able to get a gun out
in time though. But Lyder's here in time. Swings on out. Unfortunately, only good for one here.
But look at the health bar on Star here, tap on the spike, it's not going to go down second tap,
this is given to Velasa, so much space to work there, Star swings on out low health and he's
going to take every opportunity there, two versus one, Velasa's pushed up so far using these timings
and there we have it, Bartha fighting tooth and nail to stop this series getting too far in focus,
that all important map point still just slightly out of reach.
It's alluding them for now, but they didn't use any of their key ultimates there.
They've still got the Vifers pick, the lockdown, the Hunters' Fury is coming online next.

So this isn't necessarily the round they're looking to win, although they'd love to do
not get me wrong.
out here, get into map point now would be perfect for them. But they're building up towards the
ultimates. Get the hunters fury online, try and get the overdrive online if you can as well.
You want to be countering the ults that Barca's got left. The overdrive themselves,
the lockdown likely to come on too. Because Barca has to use their ultimates to stop
focus from getting to map point. Whereas focus, they can basically use this round as a dry round
to build up towards their Winkons in the next.
And we've been seeing a lot of that, actually. The old management's been pretty good, especially
over towards C long. Just quickly go out, grab it. We've been seeing these neon alts get online
fairly early on in the half. So I'm expecting to see them attempt to go for something similar as
well. It's just who they choose to prioritize there, whether they're looking short term,
get hunters through online, or if they're like, you know, it's going to be 11-9 here almost
certainly with you look to the future a little bit more. Yeah, plan ahead. The key thought process
here and our bosses completely switched up their defense since they got Murie's operator online
and focus of realize this means a is open for business. We can just walk in here. We don't
have to worry about that set play that's, you know, we've avoided so far and immediately Addie's so
far up. I don't almost caught out in a rough spot there. So much util thrown at stopping this initial
peak. Actually, all of that effort invested not to dive towards A-Long and they're immediately
just backing away here.
Your resort line is dangerous for focus. You have to be careful if they're peeking garage
or they're just going B.
And the rally waiting, biding their time here. There it is. Fast lanes to call, to action,
the call to arms there. Takes a while, Majoris pops the overdrive. There's two coming on through.
Mali's found one, opts back and available on the line, on the angle waiting, spots the cross
and there it is as quick as you like it, the players on this team melt away and Strom is just
frantically trying to get to some semblance of safety but she is being chased and Miori immediately
posted back on up, there's only 70pcs to go, if she dares to peek she's going to be going in the grave
and there you have it, a ninth round, we kind of called it but it's clean and it is a good
shut down there to stop focus getting anything further than that hunter's fury online.
And stopping them getting the spike plant is good. It means that Addy here buying light
shields so she can make sure she can buy the next as well if Bartha managed to find their
way up to 10. But this is the big round. This is the most important round for focus and Barth
is going for the same set play. This is the third time that I think we've seen this. I
I think they're going to go for the exact same thing again.

I think maybe just taking a second to formulate, still 50 seconds on the clock, so taking a
beat to figure out the plan. Drones go in, clear through the garage. Just gonna spot the turret there.
Turret taken down. Devlasa knows that she's about to get forced here. Locked down, popped here.
Focus just desperate to get this. Toki, get a little bit of information but then forced all the
way back to the other side of the map and that is just gonna be that defense side forced all the
way off. Spike goes down and they've got time for a little bit of repositioning here before the
the flood comes back. Addy hugely advanced position here. Sviper's pit even invested
their throw in everything at this round to try get it done and that's gonna hold
them even further at this quarter. Addy unwavering in her conviction. There's the
peek on out. Addy's gonna find Addy there but two for two is where we start to see
the dust settling. Star personnel at that time started getting so so low but in this smoke
hiding, waiting, oh they almost crossed each other but have just peeked out into the smoke.
Charlene finds hers as well and that's three for her and a 12th on the board and finally
we see map point but it is laborious. It took a lot of effort for focus to get there.
Two ultimates invested that round as well. Lockdown and the Vive precipit.
But now the lockdowns are available for the opposing side of BASA, they have it ready
to go on this defensive side, assist with the retake over towards A, we saw focus use
that to great extent in the previous half, and STARS gone for the operator on the attack
side, A is wide open because they know they can retake it with the lockdown, so BASA is
exploring mid immediately.
What pushed up toky's got one full squad on the jump peak but the one to there these
human decoys have been so good for focus and now me ory looking for some space looking
for some information and praying for a pic to try bring this back under control but there
is an up waiting on the other side here peaking almost certain death devil arson's real
ready though if they do go for the rotate and the end of the day she knows
they're not pushing back towards C so the A is anchored down.
That was certain death. There's a pick coming on through to the now they don't
got a little bit of pressure from behind but the issue is forced forward onto
site suddenly though two versus three this doesn't look anywhere near as bad
focus over sprinting through their opponent spawn mind you to get to the
other side of the map. And Neville-Rico is still too far away here, he's gonna hear all
of the crosses, but she's shown her hand here. And now that does mean they can get caught.
And Neville-Rico, but I need to back to back shots! And Spike gets dropped, Neville-Rico
now knows where Deville-Rico is, knows where both of these players are, but with only 18
seconds, swing on out, there's the first, but this play route long, just gonna put a
a snake bite on it and that's gonna be such an unfortunate one has managed to
find a small tiny pocket to plant and Annie running on forward here hoping for
the jump on up. You know Viko, life or death go vertically you find go
horizontally. Ah it's a different matter swings on out and Annie has the shot and
they are clinging on fighting tooth and nail just a stop focus it was effort to
get the 12th and they're gonna make sure that it is effort if you want to close out that 13th round.
We are getting so close to the end of the map or at least to overtime and you can see both teams
are putting everything into it. Annie's push-up, a quick flank. Got so much value and that 4k.
she kept her team in this map and now she's been rewarded. Viper's pit online.
I don't know if she's looking like she wants to use it yet. Most of bosses over the wards
they long setting up for the same set way we've seen time and time and time again.

Battle of the Lurks was focused as still pushing towards A.
Bars has not had to rotate because of this advanced position from the killjoe either.

and the patience the focus has been displaying here. Well, tortoise and the hare, they teach everyone that, surely, but

And Star's got the paranoia still as well, Viper's pick comes on out, unfortunately that's going to do nothing to stop Marley.

We saw map one last time that they played and maybe we go the distance all three maps
This is looking like an incredible matchup the storied most important game of their stage so far and
It's already showing and I mean who else could be at the top of the board other than adi opening up
This map with an ace with the sheriff. There's no other way that could have gone
Incredible pretty good stats all around right you know incredible first blood rate
the cast is good. One kill per round consistency on this player. She's lacked some of the firepower
that we saw from her in contenders in the cash cups since getting to stage two. But you can
see she is fighting for it. She has been working on it and the nerves have settled. She is here
to play. I think it's one of those things as well that we are just so deep in this tournament.
There's been so many matches played in the stage that maybe a little bit of that weariness,
being able to be consistent even when you're tired. That's the strength. That is the shine
of a good player there. But let's take a look at this. First kills. Actually, both are winning
this one and out, which raises a kind of stability and stabilization issue in our minds a little
bit here.
It does. The thrifty was very nice, but this means that they have lost rounds quite a few
where they had the first blood and that they're making these mistakes. Are they throwing away
1v1s? We saw both of the teams realistically giving a lot more 1v1s than they should have
that's going to matter. We've
done the focus without
mechanics in them here. As we
look towards breeze. That's
going to matter even more.
Absolutely. And I think maybe
it might be a little bit of a
change of pace. Warm up map.
But then we're kind of throwing
both teams into that deep end
mechanically. We said at the
start is where these teams
shine is when they're playing
cohesive. But this map has
just shown us one V one. So
breeze. I mean, we're going to
I mean always good to see taking their own map pick there, but Breeze we've harkened about it
We talked about it
And I don't think there is a better map that we could see here
I think Barthol some of the things that they would do especially in that first half where they were you sort of using human decoys
Almost when we saw them, you know throw a player on out and then another player swing on out like they don't need flashes
You don't need decoys just go straight use another player as a human meat show
I love to see it. So there were definitely glimmers in there that were really good. And we're going to
need to see more of that, but definitely with that mechanical focus. That's where I'm going to be
really interested to see, you know, if Addy could take another ace of the pistol round.
I mean, it's the kind of thing I could definitely see. And as we look towards Breeze,
Stylist, if we were talking about this more after the break, but different compositions. Previously,
it was an era matchup, right? It came down to who executed the comp better, who won their fights.
it's going to be an all out
rule, different compositions,
different styles. And a lot of
aiming. Yep. Those ops. I
didn't feel like the ops are
particularly prevalent in that
map. We saw them, but they didn't
feel oppressive. So I'm hoping
that we get to see them in the
limelight a little bit more as we
come into this. However, we are

This is going to be a question of who can lock in mechanically. I think both of these teams. We saw a lot of isolated one V ones last night. So kind of feels like a nice step up nice progression into this map. But I definitely have some worries because we talked maybe individually. This isn't where these teams shine. It's that cohesiveness which makes them what they do.
are. And if we look back how they both fought against KC, right? Yeah, this was a very, very
good, I think, way to look at both of these teams in terms of how they look performatively
against other teams because we couldn't really judge them. The meta had changed since the
cash cup. It was nice to look at the end game. Whereas against KC, focused did beat KC harder.
And I think that's something we have to consider going into this is focused better against KC.

to come back and they need to
win the map pick to this map
map three. Exactly and often
the strength of a war is judged
by how they do against their
opponents and so we can sort of
look at the transitive properties
of you know teams that they've
both played teams that they've
both beaten as well, but agents
like we should be heading in
very soon. We talked about this.
We saw Miracombs last map. We're
not expecting that here. See if
don't have the chamber actually for focus Sakura. They've moved off. They've moved away
from the chamber for star and put her on the jet. She's now able to be more a part of the
executes here, right? She's able to dive on in with Addy as she slides in. That was one
of the big weaknesses with our attack side when focus played against G2 is they struggle
to kind of burst past these jokes, get on the site, get the spike down in the first place.
Well, so Barca, no changes. They're happy. They love this comp. It allows me Yuri to
pick up the pop off more than she did on neon in the previous map. But I think the key thing for me here
is Barca beat KC on this map. This is the map that they did win here. So I think we've got to
consider that going in is how well they can bring forward the strength from that
into this match. Yeah, and another thing with focus scurus is going back to that double
because they were running Double Jewelist on Breeze,
they were running Neon Yoru back when, you know,
before they cut off Yoru's legs.
But we're seeing that sort of return to form
and they haven't played that in a while.
I think we last saw it in February.
So it's not completely, you know, unfounded.
There is some sort of backing behind them
running this Double Jewelist, but I like it.
I like this ability to adapt to burst a little bit more.
And we saw that being really sort of prevalent
them over on that one. Yeah, that burst the the ability to just dash on together, work on the
fundamentals is going to be so important. Obviously we saw star as well on the open,
TPing into the back of sites, TPing aggressively as a part of that dive unit with Addy with Marley
following up maybe Strahlin. Now she's on the jet. She's able to do this with more agency herself.
she's able to work herself, create her own smokes, the dash into and then pop out and
support adi as she's going around either towards the left side of B or towards the kind of, you know,
the right pyramids on A. That's going to be the big thing for the attack side for focus.
We'll have to see if they can pull it off because it is still a difference. The jet is still in a
lot of ways harder to run than the chamber because you don't have that flank watch if you need it.
You don't have that TP up for the whole round so when they switch on the defense side it will matter
a lot. The focus for now, pushing up towards A, the KO knife from Annie, if it's perfectly timed,
could win them this round.
Actually not going to come out at all early round. So much emphasis in towards mid here and it's
giving focus the room to work. Little do they know and we talked about it, there's no flank watch
So they've dedicated a whole person to being flank watch right now
Slowly but surely pushing on forward they're gonna clear through mid if I had nothing towards B
So it's gonna be a very quick reflund on to a for them and to where the focus is ready to weather the storm

A nice idea from focus to push around the front side of sight, but Bartha were there just in time.
folks took a long time to contact up a main I think someone was reloading and
unfortunate moment was able to get the trades but the issue with the sheriff on
these pistols is you've got to reload more often and now two marshals one tap
against everyone from focus and one of them is on a one of them is on mid so
under one of them be sorry so here we go over towards be this Marshall let's see
what I can do.
out here. Incredible work against an eco. Yes, but the timing to peek out despite the
recon pain her up, pushing on forward and the closing out there. Nice and calm with

This is definitely especially the attacks I've been their weakness. But they still chose
to start here on the attack. I think they thought the jet would be getting more value
so far than it has. Yeah, potentially we've only actually seen them play it once in this
stage other than here and that was versus G2 goes and and I think that maybe the I don't
really know what the choice was because they didn't have a great start on the tax side versus G2
goes and but again strong team that you're going up against. So I'm not sure they must have cooked
something. I expect we'll see that coming through on round five. This is just going to be an eco
for focus. You hear a rifle on straw and potentially see what she can do with it. No, they want
to save it. They don't want to risk it. It's an outlaw on the other side. So realistically
buying light shields even for star, probably not worth it. You know there's going to be
an outlaw. Muri is going to buy that up and she's already aiming exactly where they're
going towards mid.

better what a flash the dash the dash and the flash but again doesn't really
amount to much other than just information that's an amazing shot
though for Miori only one knife still left though is gonna have to make it
count start pushing on forwards slowly but surely so many angles to clear her
and she's by herself. Finds the first there. Lider back sight has to be careful not to give her
another isolated fight because you've just seen what she's done to your teammates. And there it
is swing round the side. Lider's confident though. We talked about this being a game of angels. One
of these ones, we already on the angle there's the first one knife smoke allows her to back out of
there still with her life and help Lider hopefully who's been just trying to keep them out of this
choke point but has successfully stopped them getting on to be here.

Use your ults, work together, you can see Barsa here are doing it perfectly, they're
playing off of each other, they're swinging around at the perfect timings and his utility
has been immaculate.
And Focus are now using their second, their last time out for this map unless this somehow
goes to overtime and folks are going to need to bring back a lot this half if they want
to get there. They're going to need to get this to realistically 8475 at a minimum.
And it all starts here. They've got some ultimates. They've got the Viper's Pit, they've got the
Hunter's Fury, the Overdrive and the Knives, but they're not big powerful ultimates on
the attack side unless you can get into the post plant. And they're going to rely on Addy
not getting picked up by Meori for that to happen.

We have got a third map on our hands and quite honestly, we have seen the whole range of emotions and scores already in this series and breeze while that was a blink and you miss it kind of map now we head on to Lotus and for a focus fan.
I'm talking to you directly here for a second. Lotus is a map that focus has a far better wind way on right now. So if you're a little bit bogged down from that breeze result have faith pay he because it's not over yet.
If you're above the fan, well, I mean you're rolling hard off the back of a 30
No, if you can keep any semblance of that momentum rolling then they are in for a good time
And if you're just here for some good valor and well, I can promise you that this map is going to deliver in spades
The one fear I have of Lotus is if we're looking at the transitive properties of when they both played against the same teams on this map
Focus fans will sadly remember the game against giant X in week two. It's not really can't hurt you
That was a 13-1 to Giantaxe.
It's not really a con hurt, you don't worry.
Whereas Barsa, they beat Giantaxe 13-11.
If we're looking at these previous matchups, this is looking like Barsa was stronger on this map overall,
but they've got different compositions, there's definitely a difference in styles,
and the individual performance, we saw how much that mattered previously.
We're going to have to see if the if-focus can pull that out again,
and the larners individuals like they did on Haven to pull it out, win this and allow themselves a possibility of making deploy offs.
I would also say Fokusoka did beat SK Nebula, and that's a pretty good win.

The attack side it allows focus to really play around with these kind of like

Cakes across the map right they can send the chamber in the sky over towards a main take that space chamber can hold it and TP out
While the sky rotates over towards C to help with the egg sec or the chamber could then look up call the team over to backfill the space and
Then move on take a there's a lot of things here that folks can do on the attack
The key thing that we need to see the key thing that we have to see is
They're breaking this fight utility. They don't have any damaging utl in terms of their own kit
I mean skydog sure, but that can't take the vine so it doesn't really count
You need to break these these vise vines before you execute because otherwise Addy is going to get chunked down
By them she will just get destroyed if she slides through one of them. That's about a hundred health gone

So they're gonna have to prod and poke and find their way to the vice site break the thorns and
Then decide what to do and I'll be honest the slow rounds on on Haven were good for focus
But on trees, those slower rounds allowed Barca to pick them apart one by one to capitalize
on the mistakes that focus are making.

I think that focus, so, Kuro, we've got to harken back to what we saw on map one, sort
of look at what worked, three-side map, they were so good, they were taking a lot of individual
1v1s and they were winning them.
That was the big one as well, is that that was a bit of a switch up on that second map
was that they were running in and losing to 1v3s. If we can get back to those 1v1s, we
can see Star pop off like we've been highlighting. That'll be really exciting.
And I do think there's some really nice parts of Focuses Comp. The key difficulty that they
will have is they don't have any pure consistent recon. You've got the fadehorn for Barsa,
which allows you to clear the operator from Focus Sakura, hold down that line, and you
know you can peek it, because otherwise the haunt would see the chamber, so you know it's safe.
Focus don't have anything like that, they've only got the one skydog, the sky flashes are good for
a moment, but flashes can be dodged, and then immediately you can see someone from Barca
back on the line again. So focus is going to have to be very careful without the fade of how
they're clearing this space, because they've only got that one skydog, no two prowlers to clear
towards B and then one towards whichever site you exit on. It's a very difficult comp to
play precisely. Yeah. Focus did that against SK, but they didn't manage to do it against
Gion X.
They didn't. But again, we talked about it, both of these teams, they've got a 50% win
rate within this stage. So what are these teams is going to be coming out on top here?
Somebody's got to break the spellmate in the tie, and somebody's got to break the bread
as we go into this first pistol round start looking.
over towards B. There's a seasoned combo here. If they push towards B, focus for now though,
just allowing Star to push up A, take that space, trigger the door, try and pull the
rotates over, and the horn is going to have to get broken. Barthes is going to clear this.

to A. Oh, they focus over thinking it. And unfortunately, it's not been enough time that
Barca started to second guess themselves now. So they're walking on to a stacked site
around the corner. Mali is tapping away. There's gonna give them so much information. Door triggered,
lighter waiting on the other side. That wall's gonna make it so awkward. To cross, there's the
first gets traded on out there. Demolax is gonna be the difference maker. Brings his back to a 3
versus 3. Paranoid just about gonna miss there. Strahlin gonna win. Upgrade the pistol. Toki touching
on out here. They're trying to cross. Spots a little bit. There's the first spot. If Dean
immediately comes back out, Addy's gonna pitch on in to deal with Strahlin. 2 versus 1. Health low on
toky. You know where she is around the corner. Clear messy shots. And now it's just toky.

just choked on in and it's done enough to buy the time. Bartha, close this first round

It started out with a nice first blood as well. But they just weren't able to capitalize
on it the the the issue here in the mid-round was that mistake to go back towards there
obviously they didn't know she was clear they might have thought they pulled the rotates
over from tapping the orb there but no they made the wrong call and well they're paying
for it in the round if now standard lotus round coming up brawl over a i love this martial
position for meori so ratty it really is round the side this first shot we'll be able to
drop down and escape with her life there though. Addie round the side. Lighter's got the first,
Miura's just tapping away, getting tapped at in response though. Yuto goes over, stalls
them from pushing onto this site and that's because some of the barters have been really
good at stopping them getting onto site. We saw that on Dries, but now they're going
to really have to fight for it again. Karanoi just pushes them back immediately. Stars go
to the peak and she just falls immediately and light is there. The spray down with the
spectre is perfect and that is the round over and done.
Absolutely stunning stuff there to close this out and it doesn't even look like there was
effort. It's just ballistic.
And now focus, they've got the buyer. This is their possibility, their chance. Try and
come back in. But I mean even there yes okay the gun advantage was in Bars's hands but
the shots they were hitting were good. And if they can keep up that level of shots even
with the weaker weaponry here focus it in through a world of pain. Take your minds back to breeze
and this is where that 13-0 started. See now where our focus should be. A fight. Toki set
up the paranoia for the rest of the team to play off of and focus are just pausing waiting

because the worry is going on to that second half. It's such a deficit again. It's just going to be,
you know, wait, we talked about how they're going to need to wipe the mental state clean coming
into this. And now it just feels like flashbacks. They got that one round, which is a little bit

Agree, I think the other thing that we look at in the overall sort of narrative of this game is the use of the timeouts is that focus of
birthday both of theirs and with Barca using one now that means that there is
only one or more chance for focus to get the coach on the line and that is
completely up to Barca's mercy and probably won't be for some time so now
if Barca can just avoid using that time out you avoid giving focus to any
ability to get the coach back now and they have just got to rough it out for
the rest of the game. Outlaw for star though could be big value. Seasonade will
start to push her back to start with. I don't know if she goes for a peek ahead of it. She gets two!

done, chances and qualification on the line and that's the performance we need
to see coming on out and Barca 13 8 to get it done a fall versus to thrifty for
Barca to win that out it all came down to that round to the mistakes from focus
where they just weren't playing together and where Barca were there hitting
their shots what a performance from Barca and they are not in playoffs yet do
not get me wrong, but there is a chance now if they continue on winning. They have a chance to make it into that top six a
position they could not find themselves in the previous stage, but now they've got the chance thanks to the heroics in the
post plant in that final thrifty round.
Yeah, Bartholomew, a team that weren't happy when the spike got planted at all,
but when the spike got planted, my god, were they good in the post plants?
We're going to take a look at the MVP and I think there's so many people that we can highlight here, but it's going to be toky for this match. And it's nice that we've got to see everyone have a little bit of time in the sun here. And honestly, what can we really say? It was just amazing. She was here, she was there, she was everywhere. Just shut down across the board.
an incredible performance from toky but from everybody else as well because I think the
key thing for me both on breeze and on Lotus, which we didn't really see on Haven was the
teamwork then working together to come back from deficits when they had lost someone in
the early round to play in those post plants. And when you need when you need someone like
Annie to step up in that clutch to come through with it. Because Barca is maybe not right
the top of the board but they have all of these little pieces that comply to absolute perfection
when needed. I think something else that I haven't really spoken about with BAFA too much but I did a
little bit of content piece with the wonderful cast of Rackermars before we came into the stage.
Now talk about how BAFTA I think are one of the best off seasons that they've really been
putting in the retro like hash cups and I think when it gets to games like this at the end of the
season that we're really seeing that level of polish come through in these moments where we
need them to step up. So I've been really liking seeing their development and progress. It's been
really great. I think something else is quite interesting about this series just to harken
back a little bit. If you look at the disparity in the number of kills across the board, it wasn't
all that different between these two teams. They were both so close. I mean, like the rounds that
focus won, they were there and shooting. Even at the rounds they lost, they were close. And
And that shows the performance that they can put on,
the pressure that they can put onto a team
that might have 13 owed them in the previous round,
but focus is still able to come back mentally
and try and put on an incredible performance,
but that would have been a comeback of all comebacks
and they weren't able to bring it forward.
So they have no chance of playoffs,
but they've still got matches to play.
The stakes might be gone,
but at the end of the day,
that you're going to be able to
perform in the next few weeks.
But the reputation in main event
isn't necessarily just playoffs.
It's about how you perform in all
of your matches, and it's not
even necessarily their own
reputation or sorry states on
the line. It'll be other things
like seeding and stuff. It'll
matter for other teams and
positioning, as you said, at the
end of the day there. But I
mean, what a crazy series all
around. Let's take a look at

that KC loss really through this match is important into the stratosphere.

in the standings and ATM slightly lower. It's going to be a difficult last push for ATM to try
and make it into that top six. But I mean, I think regardless of whether we're seeing
Barca, Casey or ATN, this playoffs is going to be absolutely stacked.
I think this is something that we say is sort of every stage of game changes is that the
caliber and the level keeps on rising. And I think if you look at from stage one to stage
two, we've already seen, you know, about that a really rough time. I think they only won
