For journalists, this war is now considered the deadliest of the 21st century.
They've been killed in strikes on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure,
and while working in areas that were attacked.

The army rejects these claims as false.
This is a story about Gaza in wartime, about the people reporting on this war, surviving

the arrangement is intended to ensure safe reporting. We asked the IDF what criteria

The Shihab news agency and Al Aqsa media network are closely linked to Hamas.
Hamas reportedly pressures outlets to adopt the party-like policy, repressing critical
voices. Reporting from Gaza is extremely difficult. Sometimes, it's flat out impossible.

response was provided. So the IDF might be threatening journalists and their families.
