like, I don't think, it doesn't look like The Odyssey is bad necessarily. It just looks like
they adopted ideological decisions that alienated people, right? I think that's really what happened.
I'm going to see it tonight. Yeah, Charlie said it was pretty good. Yeah, I mean, like, I think that

It's just that you made a few bad casting decisions, etc.

because you want to use the casting as a social message

black people were involved in like this mythology as well,

And like, you're trying to like push this narrative.
And I think that like, whenever I see something like that,
to me, it makes it harder for me to get into a movie
because I know that I'm not really watching a movie.
I'm watching a piece of, you know, like curated propaganda.
Like this has been created and it's been made in a way
to make me believe and think something
that is not necessarily accurate, right?

And Helen is very little role, the movie is good.

I remember I said that, you know, Helen of Troy,

And I think that everybody that went to like high school
read the Odyssey.
So like, I mean, Helen of Troy is not even involved in this.
Like it has nothing to do with it.
So it was, and I think that makes it worse in my opinion
because like if you have a character
that has such a small role,
why would you not just cast that character
in a way that makes it make sense, right?
Like I think that the bigger the role the character has,
the more reasonable it becomes to race swap
or to take artistic freedom with the character.
And I can explain why, right?
So the reason why is that
because if you have somebody who really, really fits
with the source material,
like Henry Cavill in playing the Witcher
was a great example of this, right?
the witcher historically is not supposed to be an attractive guy
like gerald is not supposed to be a hunk
he's not supposed to be like this really attractive good-looking guy
he's supposed to be like a weird skinny ugly-looking guy
and he's supposed to look kind of like uh... a wolf in a way right
but henry cavill played the role really well because he cared a lot about
comprising the character in a way that
they thought you know made sense i think it's the same thing as like you know
uh... nick fury being played by samuel jackson
uh... i don't think people care about that because he's a good actor
but the differences that whenever you have like random like third and second
to your characters
why would you make that character
a social message why would you make that character a if in like that
whenever you don't really need to do that because the biggest argument that
you can make
for you know making a race swap or making a gender swap for a character
is that the person who's playing that character is that good of an actor
that it makes that big of a difference that it's worth doing this you see what

but like whenever it's his third tier character helen troyes not even involved
in the odyssey hardly

so like why wouldn't you just cast somebody who's good at it anyway

Sheehan. So Elliot Page plays, I guess, Sheehan. I don't know how to say a name. In the film
Threats, out of the reaction, Chris Gore identifies Page's character as Sion and reveals the film
itself crowns him. Page's Sion gets called the greatest soldier I've ever known on screen.
That's like a line in the movie. So they say this is the greatest soldier you've ever
known in the movie? Oh, wow. I don't know what to say, like Simon? I mean, I've never heard
the word pronounced, so how could I possibly know how to pronounce it? So I have no idea.
But it's the killies but renamed, I guess. It's just embarrassing. Yeah, yeah, they don't
deserve fair criticism. I guess not. So we'll look at it here. I don't know what to say.

So, these are the reviews for the show.
So you have, this is on Metacritic.
So it has an 89 score based off of user reviews, sorry, based off of critic reviews, and it
has a 5.3 score based off of user reviews.

the Odyssey being at 97%.
And this other movie being even higher than the Odyssey
at 99%.
And then not come to the conclusion
that they're cooking the books.

Even IGN was a bit more fair than the critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
Let me see.
Can I pull this up?
The Odyssey isn't much seen despite its storytelling flaws.
Must see epic film where its moments of brilliance outweigh some storytelling frustrations.
Here are a few reasons why it's an 8.
It's great.
What's most thrilling is that the film delves quite a bit into horror.
For example, while Christopher Nolan removes much of the dialogue from the book's Cyclops
scene, in its place he inserts a sort of existential dread.
The director skillfully takes the more fantastical elements of the original story and makes them
at best terrifying and at least interesting and believable.
Inevitably, there are tweaks made to the source material with some scenes from Homer
cut or combined, but that's not where it misfires as it would essentially be impossible to adapt
the whole book into a single movie.
Matt Damon is perfectly serviceable as Odysseus, but he's also lacking the mischievous trickster
edge which is inherent in the classic take on the character.

build up to somebody and attack them. But then what happens is that the game kind of this
is what happens with a lot of video games, right? So this is this is the reason why a lot of these

base that continues playing the game. So over time, the skill level goes up. But here's the problem.
This is the player base of people who are new.

But whenever you come into a game and the skill gap default is so high that you're playing against people that already have a thousand hours into the game

and since ten is the cap I was able to use the condensing where like you can
use and get the stars and you put them together and then I have one out of that
and then I use the book on each individual one and so each of these now
has level ten fucking mining and then I have these guys over here that they're
able to use the stuff that I mine the ore and they can turn it into the ingots
And so all of these guys here are also used for transporting so I have them double purpose
So I've got these guys. Let me go if I can show you so these guys can do
Smelting and also handiwork so they can move it back and forth, right?
And then I have this thing this also makes it to where the handiwork for these 30 things goes way higher
And then I have the secondary traits for these things that they're able to fucking
like they're able to do a faster work speed.
So like this is like sanity goes lower,
work speed 50%, work speed 20%, work speed 30%.
So like I have all them maxed out.
And then on top of that, I gave each of them a book.
So now each of them now also has the handy work plus 10.
And so what I have to do is I have to get the more of the books
and then I'm able to get all of these guys level up
and I can remove this one, this one because this guy,
this guy I need for this guy
because this guy gives this guy a plus nine
to the charging for the electricity,
which is what powers everything else that moves around.
That's Ozwerk.
This is the best.

that has a plus eight electricity naturally.
So now he has this power capacitor.
And the reason why I have the power capacitor
is because I'm gonna put down three mining rigs,

that makes their sanity go down lower.
I have the fixed assignment,
so they have the ore site.
I have all these high level 10,
they're making the ore.
And then these, the gold assembly line,
they're making the money at the same time.
And then I have, this makes things go slower too.
And this will the sanity, because like,
so if you work on the gold factory,
this is the thing with the gold factory,
is that you look at the, let me see if I can show you.
So like this, it says it reduces their sanity really fast.
So this is why I have, for example, like he's,
that's why his, the thing's on his head.
So I built them pools here.
So like the hot springs,
but I have to upgrade the hot springs
because that only reduce increase the sanity by 0.8,
but it's supposed to be two sanity a second.
And so if I do that, that's gonna be way, way, way faster.
Then I just thought to myself,
oh, okay, well, I can go even farther than this.
So then I took each one of them
and you can individually upgrade them and their work speed.
And so I went and I upgrade the work speed of these here.
And that's why you can see that they're working so fast.
And this, by the way, this is not even the beginning of it,

way, like it's probably gonna be like,
probably even more than twice as fast as this one, though.
